Bombshell Remi Lambert wastes no time making move on Indiyah Polack

OHMYGOSSIP — Bombshell Remi Lambert shakes up the villa by making his move on Indiyah Polack on Wednesday’s (15.06.22) ‘Love Island’ episode.
The model, 22, will be seen wasting no time telling the hotel waitress, 23, he has fancied her since his villa entrance on Tuesday. (14.06.22)
It comes after it was revealed Remi is an amateur rapper whose tracks contain derogatory remarks about injuring women during sex and taking drugs.
He is seen asking Indiyah if she has kissed anyone yet, with her admitting she thinks he’s “good looking”.
After he pulls his co-star for a chat, he tells Indiyah: “You look nice by the way… I am just wondering if you’ve kissed anyone yet?”
Indiyah replies: “It’s just literally been me and Ikenna,” prompting him to ask: “How’s that going?”
She says: “It’s going alright, it’s going calm, like obviously we’re both taking it slow not rushing into anything.
“We are both on the same page and we both know that it’s early days and we’re not completely closing ourselves off, so it’s not a done deal, time will tell.”
Remi adds: “That’s good to know that, as soon as I came in here I had my eyes on you, you know. I can’t lie. So, what’s your type?”
Indiyah says: “You’re obviously a good looking boy.”
Remi’s fellow bombshell Jay Younger, 28, will be seen revealing he has been eyeing up three girls, and recounts focusing on Amber.
When the lads catch up, Jay says: “I definitely feel that at least three of them have been rattled.
“I caught eyes with Amber and I’ll never forget that, Amber and I were just eyeballing, I was literally eyeballing Amber from the middle of the hall.”
The pair also receive a text asking them to select three girls of their choice for a lunch date that will see one girl make their starter, one make their main and one make their dessert.
Jay picks Amber for starter, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu for main and Tasha for dessert while Remi opts for Indiyah for starter, Paige for main and dessert by Ekin-Su.
Ekin-Su and Jay get close, sharing a piece of spaghetti ‘Lady and the Tramp’-style.
Ekin-Su pulls away just before their lips lock, but not before Davide notices.
‘Love Island’ airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

Dirty Dancing sequel release date confirmed

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Dirty Dancing’ sequel will be released on February 9th 2024.
Lionsgate have announced the hotly-anticipated movie – a follow up to the 1987 original film – will hit cinemas in less than two years, just days before Valentine’s Day in 2024.
Jennifer Grey is to reprise her role as Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman in the motion picture, which will be directed by Jonathan Levine.
Levine recently admitted he “never imagined” he would be at the helm of one of his “favourite films”.
The 45-year-old filmmaker recently said: “While the original ‘Dirty Dancing’ has always been one of my favourite films, I never imagined I would direct the sequel.
“Through co-writing it, I fell in love with the characters (new and old), the world of 1990s Catskills New York, and the music, which will range from songs from the original movie to ‘90s hip-hop.
“I can’t wait to collaborate with Jennifer to bring this beautiful story of summer and romance and dancing to a generation of new fans.
“And to the longtime ones, I promise we will not ruin your childhood. We will tackle the assignment with sophistication, ambition, and, above all, love.”
Levine – who has penned the screenplay alongside Elizabeth Chomko and is producing with Gillian Bohrer – believes the “most important thing” was having Jennifer on board as executive producer on the movie, which will showcase Baby’s daughter’s coming-of-age story.
He said: “The most important thing for us was having Jennifer on board. She is an invaluable collaborator.
“We’re going to try to involve as many people from the original as is appropriate. We want to be respectful in every way.”
Levine also revealed that Johnny Castle, the character played by Patrick Swayze – who died of pancreatic cancer, aged 59, in 2009 – in the original ‘Dirty’ Dancing’, “is a part” of the plot.
Jonathan said: “Johnny is a part of Baby’s journey in the story.”

Dakota Fanning reuniting with Denzel Washington for The Equalizer 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Dakota Fanning is set to reunite with Denzel Washington in ‘The Equalizer 3’.
The pair wowed film fans with 2004’s action-thriller ‘Man On Fire’, in which a nine-year-old Dakota played young Pita, who Denzel’s
former CIA officer character Creasy was hired to protect amid a series of kidnappings.
And, according to Deadline, the 28-year-old actress has an unknown role in the third instalment of Antoine Fuqua’s blockbuster vigilante action film series, in which Denzel plays Robert McCall.
The movies are loosely based on the 1980s TV series of the same name.
The first film arrived in 2014, with a sequel following four years later.
There is no news regarding the plot for the third film.
However, Oscar winner Denzel teased earlier this year: “They have written the third ‘Equalizer’, so I’m scheduled to do that.
“So I gotta get in shape and start beating people up again. I get to beat people up again.”
Back in 2018, the director already had ideas for the next step in the franchise and suggested Denzel’s alter ego could head overseas.
He said at the time: “In my mind, there’s a European adventure, absolutely. In my mind, that’s what I’d like, to see him in Europe, in the future. God willing.”
Since 2018’s ‘The Equalizer 2’, Denzel, 67, has starred in 2021’s ‘The Tragedy of Macbeth’ and ‘The Little Things’.
And he insisted he doesn’t have “much left to do” as an actor, and it would take an “extreme challenge” for him to be interested in a new acting project.
He said: “I’m about the challenges. At this point, like the character, I’m in the yellow leaf of my career. To be quite honest, looking to do other things. So as far as acting, it’s gonna have to be an extreme challenge for me to be interested.
“I’ve been talking to one or two of the top directors in the business, and we’re talking about maybe doing something. There’s not that much left for me to do as an actor. Maybe Lear.”
‘The Equalizer 3’ is currently slated for release on September 1, 2023.

Louise Marwood joins Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Marwood has joined ‘Coronation Street’.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who played Chrissie White in the ITV soap from 2014 to 2018 – is heading to the Weatherfield cobbles to portray Camilla, the former wife of Phill Whittaker (Jamie Kenna).
A source told The Sun Online: “Phill’s ex-wife will make herself known on the cobbles in the coming weeks.
“She is set to cause chaos as Fiz and Phill’s wedding gets closer.
“But what does she want? And will Fiz be able to deal with both Camilla and future mother-in-law Mimi misbehaving?”
Louise is due to appear in ‘Corrie’ for a handful of episodes this summer.
Emmerdale’s Chrissie was killed off in 2018 after her troubled son Lachlan White (Thomas Atkinson) caused a car crash, which also killed his grandfather Lawrence White (John Bowe).
Speaking about her exit at the time, she said: “I am very sad actually, because we have become really close.
“Myself, Ryan Hawley (Robert), Tom Atkinson (Lachlan) and John Bowe (Lawrence) all came into the show at the same time. And it feels like Emily Head (Rebecca) has been here all the time too, as we’ve become so close.
“Obviously we’ll stay friends forever, but I’m not going to see them every day, so that will take a while to sink in. It’s everybody else in the building too, like the crew. It’s amazing team of people – I have never met a team like it in my life and I may never again, so that’s incredibly sad.
“I am going back to London now, so who knows what’s next? It’s that thing of going to auditions. It was the right time to leave, as three years is a good stint to do.
“It’s very tempting to stay, but my life is in London, so it was time to go. It’s a hell of a gamble to take as you never know what is around the corner, but that quite excites me.”

Love Island’s Davide Sanclimenti fuming as Ekin-Su Culculoglu gets close to new bombshells

OHMYGOSSIP — Davide Sanclimenti was left fuming on Wednesday night’s (15.06.22) ‘Love Island’ after Ekin-Su Culculoglu got close to the new bombshells.
The 27-year-old business owner looked on as the 27-year-old actress – who he coupled up with last week, ditching Gemma Owen – shared a piece of spaghetti with Jay Younger, and she went on to feed Remi Lambert strawberries during separate dates with the pair.
A frustrated Davide paced around the balcony and blasted: “Oh my days. Play Monopoly, not with me.”
A preview from tonight’s (16.06.22) episode saw Jay lean in for a sneaky smooch with Ekin-Su.
But all may not be lost for the Italian, as Jay also got close to Amber Beckford and Tasha Ghouri.

Jay later told Remi: “Her relationship with Andrew is not solid.”
The 28-year-old investment analyst believes it is “game on” regarding 23-year-old model Tasha.

Samuel L. Jackson won’t chase Oscars recognition

OHMYGOSSIP — Samuel L. Jackson would rather appear in big-budget films that chase Oscars glory.
The 73-year-old actor has only ever received an honorary Academy Award but admits that he prefers roles in successful franchises such as Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and Mace Windu in ‘Star Wars’.
Samuel told the Los Angeles Times newspaper: “As jaded as I wanted to be about it, you know thinking, ‘Well, I should have won an Oscar for this or should have won for that and it didn’t happen’, once I got over it many years ago, it wasn’t a big deal for me.
“I always have fun going to the Oscars. I always look forward to getting a gift basket for being a presenter. I give stuff to my relatives; my daughter and my wife would take stuff out. It’s cool… But otherwise, I was past it.”
The star does not consider the Oscars to be a “measure of success or failure as an actor” and would rather be happy with the projects he is working on.
Samuel explained: “I was never going to let the Oscars be a measure of my success or failure as an actor. My yardstick of success is my happiness: Am I satisfied with what I’m doing?
“I’m not doing statue-chasing movies. You know: ‘If you do this movie, you’ll win an Oscar’. No, thanks. I’d rather be Nick Fury. Or having fun being Mace Windu with a lightsabre in my hand.”
The ‘Pulp Fiction’ star said: “That’s the guy I chose to be and I’m fine with it. I’m satisfied because that’s who I am. I’m the guy who does the lines that people see on T-shirts.
“There’s actors who go their whole careers and no one can quote a line they’ve said in a movie. People go to watch my movies to see how crazy I’m going to be or see how many times I say motherf*****. Whatever gets them in the seats.”

Melissa McCarthy and Hugh Grant among A-list Unfrosted cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Melissa McCarthy and Hugh Grant are among the A-list cast members of Jerry Seinfeld’s directorial debut ‘Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story’.
Amy Schumer, Jim Gaffigan, James Marsden, Jack McBrayer, Tom Lennon, Adrian Martinez, Bobby Moynihan, Max Greenfield, Christian Slater and Sarah Cooper round out the cast of the movie.
The Netflix film chronicles the invention of the Pop-Tart and is inspired by a joke the comedian once told on stage. Jerry will also be starring in the flick.
A synopsis for the project, which is set in Michigan in 1963, reads: “Kellogg’s and Post, sworn cereal rivals, race to create a pastry that will change the face of breakfast forever. A tale of ambition, betrayal, sugar and menacing milkmen.”
Jerry is directing from a script he has written with Spike Feresten, Andy Robin and Barry Marder. Seinfeld and Feresten are producing the film with Cherylanne Martin, Andy Robin and Marder serving as executive producers.
Explaining the movie, the ‘Seinfeld’ star said: “Stuck at home watching endless sad faces on TV, I thought this would be a good time to make something based on pure silliness. So we took my Pop-Tart stand-up bit from my last Netflix special and exploded it into a giant, crazy comedy movie.”
Jerry previously explained how stand-up comedy has always been his top priority and he has never looked at it as a stepping stone to bigger things.
The 68-year-old star said: “There are not too many comedians that you see out there doing this as their first choice. They’re doing it as a stepping stone to get someplace else: movies, sitcoms, talk shows.
“I’m doing this as my first choice. I wanted to be a comedian.”

Iain Stirling to voice Love Island USA

OHMYGOSSIP — Iain Stirling is to voice ‘Love Island USA’.
The 34-year-old comedian has narrated the UK version of the ITV2 dating show since the first season in 2015, and the Peacock series have now acquired his services.
Jenny Groom, EVP of Entertainment Unscripted Content at NBCUniversal, said: “The moment the decision was made to bring an all-new version of ‘Love Island’ to Peacock, we knew we had to get Iain on board.
“Iain embodies everything fans love about the show – humour, irreverence and cheeky fun.
“‘Love Island’ would not be the same without him.”
The series will be filmed on the Californian coast.
Actor and TV presenter Matthew Hoffman previously narrated ‘Love Island USA’, which aired for three series on CBS.
The US show – which is produced by ITV Entertainment – was recently renewed for seasons four and five on Peacock.
Iain recently joked he is “naked in a cabin” when he records his ‘Love Island’ voice-overs, but insisted there is no chance of him appearing on-screen alongside his wife Laura Whitmore, who hosts the UK version of the show.
He said: “It’s not my gig, man. I’m happy being in the darkness and the ether. I’m just in the vibes, I don’t need to be in the front. Laura is very good at that, she does all that. It makes my life easier because I don’t have to do hair and make-up and stuff.
“I don’t have to put clothes on. I’m just naked in a cabin. Lockdown vibes. I’m basically going into another lockdown.”

Chris Harris doesn’t hang out with Top Gear co-hosts off-screen

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Harris has joked he would rather “kick a wall” than spend time with his ‘Top Gear’ co-hosts Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff off-screen.
The 47-year-old presenter – who was joined on the motoring series alongside comedian Paddy, 48, and cricket legend Freddie, 44, in 2019 – admitted that while he is “friends” with his co-stars, he doesn’t socialise with them off-set.
He said: “I count Paddy and Freddie as friends but I don’t want to go to their houses. If I’m driving up north, I don’t think I’ll pop in and see Paddy for a cup of tea. I’d rather kick a wall with my bare foot.”
Chris – who joined the magazine show in 2016 following the departures of original stars Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond – admitted he and his fellow presenters barely speak when not filming the show, and joked he receives random “offensive messages” from them.
He told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “[After filming] there is a couple of weeks of decompression, but then I’ll get a random offensive message from one of them.”
Former ‘Take Me Out’ host Paddy – who is married to model Christine McGuinness, who he shares eight-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and six-year-old daughter Felicity with – recently confessed he sees Freddie outside of work and takes the children to his house to use the swimming pool.
He said: “I took my kids around Freddie’s the other day because he’s got a swimming pool. It’s cheaper than the council baths for me. I can’t afford that level of luxury but luckily I have a friend who does. It was lovely!”

Ant Middleton to front new reality show Million Dollar Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant Middleton is to host new reality show ‘Million Dollar Island’.
The 41-year-old former soldier – who was axed from ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ in 2021 by Channel 4 bosses due to his “personal conduct”, but has since gone on to host the Australian version of the show – is set to front the new reality show, which he describes as “must-see television.”
He said: “Million Dollar Island is a must-see event on television. Think’ The Hunger Games’ meets ‘Lost’ … but not quite as brutal. This is a high-stakes challenge for regular, everyday Aussies. You don’t have to be the fittest or the strongest person to win big. Emotional intelligence and self-belief are key here!”
The show – which will be filmed in Australia but screened globally – will see 100 contestants try to stay on a remote island in the hopes of winning the grand prize of $1 million (£600,000).

Anjli Mohindra: I wouldn’t play Bodyguard character now

OHMYGOSSIP — Anjli Mohindra “isn’t sure” she would play her ‘Bodyguard’ role now.
The 32-year-old actress took on the role of suicide bomber Nadia who appeared to have been forced into things by her husband, and while she “wasn’t keen on the part” at the time, but she wouldn’t play the part if it came up again.
She said: “I’m not sure I would play that character now. I don’t know if we’d have a character like that now. At first, I wasn’t keen to play the part, but then I felt like there was more to Nadia than we’d seen with roles like that.”
The former ‘Sarah Jane Adventures’ actress believes the thriller series still “didn’t ask the right questions”.
She told iNews: “I think it still didn’t ask the right questions. If we’d have found out how she got into that situation, we might have understood her a bit more. She’d have been humanised.”
Anjili – who is now starring in time loop drama ‘The Lazarus Project’ – claimed that actors of colour in British television still face “hurdles” and that non-white actors are taken “more seriously” in the United States, where she has considered moving to further her career.
She said: “The hurdles that women face are intersectional. A lot of the gatekeepers in our industry are male, and they feel like a white hetero male protagonist is always safer, but that’s definitely changing.
“Actors who aren’t white are taken much more seriously over there. I’m very tempted by [moving there]. I’m still at that age where it feels doable!”

Pete Ogden, Executive Producer BBC Studios, added: “I am so excited to make ‘The Weakest Link’ again out of Pacific Quay in Glasgow.
“It was wonderful to see the last series land so well with viewers and there’s nothing we love more than putting celebrities under pressure and making them vote each other off.
“Romesh is a treat to work with and I can’t wait to unleash him on another batch of celebrities.”
The new series will be once again filmed at BBC Pacific Quay in Glasgow, with ‘The Weakest Link’ returning to BBC One and BBC iPlayer later in 2022.

Karen Carney to join ITV’s football coverage

OHMYGOSSIP — Karen Carney is to join ITV’s football coverage from next season.
The former pro footballer-turned-pundit will work across ITV’s England Women and FA Cup coverage as well as its World Cup team for the Qatar tournament later this year, and the Euro 2024 finals.
She said: “I’m delighted to be joining ITV ahead of what is an incredible period coming up in the football calendar.
“There’s going to be so much to look forward to for fans over the coming months and I can’t wait to kick things off.”
Karen will continue to work with Sky Sports on their Premier League and FA Women’s Super League coverage.
This comes ahead of ITV’s coverage of England Women’s Euro Warm-up internationals starting this evening (16.06.22) with the live broadcast of England v Belgium on ITV4, followed by England v Netherlands on 24 June and Switzerland v England on Thursday 30th June.
Karen recently admitted she has “worked hard” at being a pundit because it is “quite challenging” being on TV.
Speaking in April, she told GiveMeSport Women: “It was quite hard to learn how to be on TV.
“I’ve never really done it before. I’ve had to work hard at it and to try and improve. It looks easy but it’s actually quite challenging.
“You’re there to analyse a game, but it’s a show at the end of the day, so you’ve got to make it good for the audience.
“The hardest shift was definitely learning more about TV, but I’ve really enjoyed it.
“I just want to do my job and be the best at it. I know there have been barriers, and I’ve been through situations myself where it’s quite challenging.
“But I don’t look at myself as an inspiration, and I didn’t when I played either. I think just do your job as a player or as a pundit, and just do the best that you can. And just enjoy it and see where that goes.”

Rowan Atkinson immortalised in Beano

OHMYGOSSIP — Rowan Atkinson has been immortalised in the Beano.
The 67-year-old comedy legend – who is known for his role as the hapless Mr. Bean – will star as an accident-prone house-sitter called Trevor in the comic strip and in a new nine-part Netflix series titled ‘Man vs Bee.’
In a statement, he said: “Like many British school children I was an avid Beano reader. Beano remains a unique piece of our pop culture, and something that has been shaped by and shaped British comedic sensibilities for over 80 years. I am genuinely thrilled that my alter ego, Trevor, has been immortalised in the Beano world!”
The nine-part comedy series will be released on the streaming giant later this month and the ‘Johnny English’ star has joined iconic characters such as Dennis and Gnasher as part of a special comic strip to celebrate the launch of the show.
In the comic strip, Rowan’s character attempts to house-sit for the Mayor of Beanotown – the father of Walter – as the family head off on holiday but a pesky bee arrives and chaos ensues.
Mike Stirling, Director of Mischief at Beano Studios, said: “Beano has always been a hive of comic chaos, so there was a real buzz about the place to have the comedy legend that is Rowan Atkinson visit Beanotown to make mischief with another troublemaker identified by their stripes; The Bee! I’m only worried Dennis and Minnie will sting us for new stripy jumpers in tribute!
“We think it was meant to bee, that when Netflix was looking for a unique new way of telling the world about the show, they thought of us. We hope everyone has as much fun reading the strip as we had making it!”
The “bee-spoke” comic strip will be launched on June 17 and is available to view exclusively at beano.com.
‘Man vs. Bee’ will premiere on Netflix on June 24.

Kyra Sedgwick wants to direct an Oscar-winning movie for husband Kevin Bacon

OHMYGOSSIP — Kyra Sedgwick wants to direct an Oscar-winning film for her husband Kevin Bacon.
The 56-year-old star has worked with her spouse on ‘Space Oddity’, her latest effort behind the camera, and believes she is capable of helping him win an Academy Award as he has never been nominated for one of the film industry’s biggest prizes.
Kyra told Variety: “He’s stunning in this movie. I think I get great performances out of him. My dream is to direct Kevin to his Oscar, and I’m very good at forcing my dreams into reality. I think we’ll make that happen at some point in the next 10 years.”
The ‘Something to Talk About’ star has been acting since she was a teenager but thinks she has found her true calling as a director.
She explained: “I’m madly in love with it. I feel like this is what I was meant to do all along. All my years watching directors and being on set and knowing what it is like to have this giant piece of machinery in front of you and have to splay yourself open and be incredibly vulnerable, have made me able to do this in a certain kind of way.”
‘Space Oddity’ follows Alex (Kyle Allen), a man tired of life on Earth and hoping to start afresh on Mars, and Kyra believes that there are important themes in the flick.
She said: “It’s a beautiful story and it has all the elements that I feel like I need in order to do my best work, which is this funny/sad genre that I’m totally into.
“There’s also a climate message which is there is just no plan B. There’s no going to Mars. Life is hard and there’s loss and pain and people die and it’s scary to live on Earth, especially now, but it’s worth the fight.”

Austin Butler can’t stop speaking like Elvis

OHMYGOSSIP — Austin Butler claims that he has started talking like Elvis Presley after playing him in the new biopic.
The 30-year-old actor plays the King of Rock and Roll in Baz Luhrmann’s movie but has revealed that he can’t shake the music legend’s distinctive tones now that he has finished the film.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Austin explained: “At this point, I keep asking people, ‘Is this my voice?’ because this feels like my real… it’s one of those things where certain things trigger it and other times as well it’s, I don’t know.
“When you live with something for two years, and you do nothing else, I think that you can’t help it. It becomes a fibre of your being.”
In addition to speaking and singing like Elvis, Austin had to move his hips to mimic the moves of the music icon during the film and revealed that he “had to work hard” to perfect Elvis’ physicality.
The ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ star said: “The thing with him is they weren’t moves, they were coming out of the feel of the music. So, for me, it had to be about finding the feeling of the music, moving me in that way. That was really fun. It was liberating.”
Austin revealed that he wanted to capture the King’s quirks but didn’t want his portrayal to be comical either.
He said: “There’s so many things out there that have become these caricatures, so even talking about him curling his lip, it’s something he didn’t do as much as we think he did. He’d do it for a photo.
“It was finding how subtle you can go with things and still have the essence. It was this constant back and forth, and that’s the tricky thing, going back and forth between incredibly technical things and then never losing the humanity. Like, that was the goal, always have his soul in there.”
