Liam Llewellyn finally gets lucky by wooing two new ‘Love Island’ bombshells on flirty dates

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Llewellyn finally got lucky by using flirty gags to woo two of the latest ‘Love Island’ bombshells on romantic dates.
The announcement he was going to date Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 27, and Afia Tonkmor, 25, as the cliffhanger on Wednesday night’s show (08.06.22) left Gemma Owen looking raging.
Liam has been unlucky so far on the ITV2 dating show, with Davide deciding to couple up with Gemma, leaving the Master’s student single.
He said about the turnaround announcement he had landed two dates: “It’s a massive booster, definitely what I needed, I am buzzing now, I can’t wait to meet the girls.”
The 22-year-old is seen on tonight’s (09.06.22) show telling Afia after they meet in the candlelit courtyard: “I like your vibe. You’re just a laugh, a bubbly, outgoing girl and that’s exactly what I want.”
When Afia asks: “Would you say I am your type?” Liam replies: “You’re definitely my type, 100 %.”
The Welsh lad also flirts with Turkish actress and influencer Ekin-Su from the offset when they meet.
She says: “You’ve got really nice eyes, the colour of the sea, almost like you can kind of swim in it and get lost.”
Liam jokes back: “Are you getting a bit lost?”, prompting Ekin-Su to admit: “Maybe I am.”
She later adds: “Your eyes are just hypnotising me, I love blue eyes.”
The dates came after Gemma, 19 – daughter of ex-Liverpool and Manchester United footballer Michael Owen, 42 – set her sights on businessman Davide Sanclimenti, 27, while being coupled with Liam.
After getting what she wanted when Davide chose her in the recoupling, Gemma soon U-turned – leaving fans convinced she was going to try and win back Liam.
But on tonight’s (09.06.22) show Gemma was seen telling fishmonger Luca Bish, 23, she found him attractive.
Following a game of dares, Luca pulled the teen for a chat and they headed to the rooftop.
Gemma confesses: “I am attracted to you, I definitely would want to get to know you.”
Luca says: “You stare into my eyes and I just want to stare into yours!”
The dares were linked to a game of beer pong – with one being promoted by every accurate throw.
Ekin-Su ends up being tasked with performing a dance on an Islander of her choice – picking Davide to enjoy her moves, and ending it with a kiss on the cheek.
She says afterwards: “Who else would I want to be rubbing my booty against, you know, the nice little eight pack!”
The dares also see estate agent Andrew Le Page, 27, and paramedic Paige Thorne, 24, kiss after he was dared to lock lips with the girl who he believes is “wifey material”.
She reciprocates when asked to smooch who she thinks is boyfriend material.
Dancer Tasha Ghouri, 23, is left less than impressed by Andrew, and admits to Gemma and Dami Hope, 26: “It wasn’t nice to see at all.”
‘Love Island’ airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

Love Island’s Gemma Owen left furious by ‘patronising’ comment from new bombshell Ekin-Su Culculoglu

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Owen was left furious on last night’s ‘Love Island’ after new bombshell Ekin-Su Culculoglu suggested the 19-year-old star could be her “little sister”.
The 27-year-old actress and fellow newcomer Afia Tonkmor, 24, arrived in the villa last night, and Ekin-Su wasted no time making an impression.
She told the girls: “I’m sorry I’m not here to make seasonal girlfriends, I’m here to make the love of my life.”
Turning to international dressage rider Gemma, she said: “You could be my little sister that I could protect.”
But the comment didn’t go down well with the star – the daughter of former England footballer Michael Owen – who blasted it as “patronising”.
Speaking privately in the Beach Hut, she said: “I’m sure she didn’t mean it in a b***** way but I felt like it was a bit patronising. I was a bit like, ‘Ugh.’ ”
Gemma later told the other girls: “That comment p***** me off. ‘I’m gonna go for what I want.’ Yeah b****, same.”
The star clearly hadn’t got over the comment the next morning.
When speaking about Ekin-Su with some of the other female Islanders, Gemma said: “If you say another patronising comment you can shove it right up your a**.”
Ekin-Su also appeared to rub Gemma up the wrong way by heading to the villa’s outdoor gym with Davide Sanclimenti, who chose Gemma to couple up with earlier this week after he entered the show as this year’s first bombshell.
What’s more, the actress riled fellow Islander Paige Thorne, questioning whether she and Luca Bish “cuddle a lot” in their bed.
Paige replied: “Yeah, footises.”
But Ekin-Su hit back: “I didn’t see you guys cuddling last night.”
After she departed the conversation, Paige said to the other girls: “What is she, keeping tabs on how many times he touches me during the night? Weird.”
Elsewhere, Gemma later turned her attentions to Luca and pulled him for a chat, during which he said he would love to be in her bed.
He added: “I really want to kiss you.”
But she replied: “Not yet.”

Angelina Jolie to direct and produce Without Blood

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie is to direct ‘Without Blood’.
Salma Hayek, 55, and Demián Bichir, 58, have joined the cast of the motion picture, which will be Jolie’s fifth feature film as a director.
Production on the forthcoming movie, which the ‘Tomb Raider’ actress has written and will produce as part of a new agreement with TV giant Fremantle, has got underway, with filming to take place in the Puglia and Basilicata regions of southern Italy.
Jolie, 47, said in a statement: “I’m honoured to be here in Italy to bring this very special material to film, and to have been entrusted by Alessandro Baricco with the adaptation of his book, with its unique poetry and emotion and way of looking at war, and the questions it poses about what we search for after trauma or loss or injustice.”
The movie is based on the book of the same name by Italian writer Alessandro Baricco.
The tome tells the story of the assassination of a man and his family, during which only his four-year-old daughter, Nina, survives, thanks to an extraordinary act of mercy from one of the attackers.
Years later she sets about trying to track down her family’s murderers, and reunites with the man who saved her.
Jennifer Mullin, Global CEO at Freemantle, added: “We are excited to work with [Jolie] and the incredible international team she has assembled.
“This project underlines Fremantle’s ongoing commitment to producing high-quality feature films and original dramas working with the very best talent from across the globe.”
In February 2017, Jolie was said to be developing ‘Without Blood’ with a view to direct.

Neighbours wraps filming after 37 years

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Neighbours’ has wrapped filming for the final time after 37 years.
The Australian soap has been cancelled after producers Fremantle Media failed to find a buyer for future episodes, and the cast finished shooting scenes for the final time on Friday (10.06.22).
A tweet on the official ‘Neighbours’ Twitter account read: “That’s a wrap [yellow heart emoji] #Neighbours”
‘Neighbours’ legend Stefan Dennis, who has portrayed ruthless businessman Paul Robinson since the show’s first-ever episode in March 1985, admitted he felt “incredibly emotional” after closing the studio door following his last-ever scene.
He told Australian breakfast programme ‘Studio 10’: “It’s a melancholy day for me.
“I sort of closed the studio door behind me on my very last scene, my very last dialogue scene and … I suddenly surprised myself by getting incredibly emotional.
“I just kept to myself and went to my dressing room … so I’m keeping a very low profile today. I think I’ll just be an absolute mess if I sort of hang around too long.”
The soap’s final episode, which will air on August 1st, will see Kylie Minogue reprise her role as Charlene Robinson alongside on-screen husband Jason Donovan (Scott Robinson).
The 54-year-old pop star has admitted she felt “quite a bit of pressure” to return to the show.
Speaking on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’, she said: “I got this role in ‘Neighbours’, that was in 1986. So I was only in the show for two and a half years, but it just exploded. England just went crazy about it.
“So it’s been with me ever since and it’s been a large part of how I entered into the music industry.
“The show was played twice a day, and people would bunk off school, they changed the office hours.
“They’re finishing the show, and there was quite a bit of pressure for me to go back, so I shot my scenes back in Australia.”
Hollywood star Guy Pearce – who portrayed Mike Young in ‘Neighbours’ – will also return to the soap for the show’s finale.
In March, it was revealed ‘Neighbours’ was being axed.
A Fremantle spokesperson said at the time: “It is with sadness that after nearly 37 years and almost 9,000 episodes broadcast, we are confirming that ‘Neighbours’ will cease production in the summer. Following the loss of a key broadcast partner in the UK, and despite a search for alternative funding, we currently have no option but to rest the show.”
The soap has also helped to springboard the careers of the likes of Hollywood stars Margot Robbie and Luke Hemsworth, and singers Natalie Imbruglia, Holly Valance, and Delta Goodrem.

Emmerdale’s Marlon Dingle was originally supposed to be ‘absolute hunk’

OHMYGOSSIP — Emmerdale’s Marlon Dingle was originally supposed to be “the sort of man who makes women melt” before being recast as an “absolute dweeb”.
Mark Charnock has played the character in the ITV soap for 25 years and he has revealed show bosses originally planned for Marlon to be an “Adonis” before changing their minds and reimagining him as a “nerd”.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the actor said the original script at his 1996 audition read: “Marlon appears, he is a Greek god, an Adonis, the sort of man who makes women melt.”
Mark went on: “I went into the loo and looked in the mirror and thought ‘They have got the wrong guy.’
“I said to the director, ‘Can I just ask you about this description? He said, ‘Oh yes, don’t worry, he’s now a nerd who thinks he’s those things.’
“They were going to have him as an absolute hunk, a beautiful, carved thing. At some point someone said wouldn’t it be funny if he was just an absolute dweeb who thought he was that? That was why I got the audition …
“I don’t know how many nerds they saw that day, but I’m glad they saw me.”
Mark has stayed with the show for more than two decades and said he loves the stability of working on a soap.
However, the TV star admitted he still gets worried every time his contract is up for renewal, explaining he has a fear of being let go.
Mark said: “You can never think beyond the end of your contract, ever. Often they will ring you and it’s kind of like the doctors – ‘It’s nothing to worry about, we just need you to come in…’
“They know me well enough to say ‘nothing to worry about’. You do get a bit like, ‘Could this be it?’ ”

Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood is going to miss co-star Bruno Tonioli

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood is going to miss his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ co-star Bruno Tonioli after he quit the show to focus on his work in America.
Bruno has been a judge on the BBC show since its debut back in 2004, but he announced his departure earlier this year with pro dancer Anton Du Beke being drafted in as his permanent replacement on the panel.
Now, co-star Craig has admitted things won’t be the same without him, telling MailOnline: “I am gonna miss him but then I do get to spend quite a few months with him travelling around the country in a Mini so I get my yearly fill which is quite good.”
Craig and Bruno teamed up to film ‘Craig and Bruno’s Great British Road Trips’ together, showcasing some of the best drives in the UK.
Bruno now spends most of his time in the US, where he films the American version of ‘Strictly’ – ‘Dancing With The Stars’.
Craig admitted there’s one star he met during a trip to the US with Bruno who he’d love to get on ‘Strictly’.
He added: “I’d like Simon Cowell because I think he would be brilliant television. I’ve met him but I’m not friends with him, It was in America actually with Bruno.”
Bruno had to miss the 2020 series of ‘Strictly’ due to the COVID-19 outbreak as he was in the US filming ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and appeared virtually from the States.
He was replaced by Anton for the 2021 show and it was announced in May that the dancer would be taking Bruno’s spot on the panel permanently.

Denise Van Outen ‘loves and trusts’ new Gogglebox co-star Duncan James

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Van Outen has declared she “loves and trusts” her new ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ co-star Duncan James, in an apparent swipe at her ex Eddie Boxshall.
The TV regular used to sit beside Eddie on the sofa for the Channel 4 series but they split in January, and she’s now drafted in Blue singer Duncan to replace him for the new series, which starts on Friday night (10.06.22).
Denise admitted she wanted to have someone loyal and loving beside her when filming the show, telling The Sun newspaper: “The big thing is we trust each other. I trust him and we respect each other as friends … He’s been a great support over the past few months, when I’ve really needed him.”
Denise and Eddie parted ways earlier this year after she accused him of texting other women behind her back.
After Denise and Eddie ended their relationship, she was adamant she wanted to continue on ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ but needed to find the right wing man.
She added: “All the ongoing conversations were that they (Channel 4) very much wanted me to still be involved in ‘Gogglebox’.
“But it was about finding the right partnership. I really wanted it to be authentic, and I had said that to them.
“Obviously I’ve known Duncan for years … it just felt natural, really … Duncan and I just felt like the perfect fit.”
Duncan added of Denise: “Trust me, there’s not many in this industry who I’ve met, over my 20 years, that I actually really trust or I could pick up the phone to as a real friend … to say that you’ve got a genuine mate, for me that’s far and few.
“Denise is one of those people to me. I know I can trust her and that’s one of the most important things, plus she knows she can trust me.”
Denise has been part of the celebrity version of the show since 2019. It returns on Friday night with Denise and Duncan appearing alongside Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv; Rylan Clark with his mum Linda; and Happy Mondays stars Shaun Ryder and Bez.

Amy Winehouse to be the subject of a new biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Winehouse will be the subject of a major new biopic.
The late singer’s parents Mitch and Janis have given filmmakers their blessing to use her music.
British casting director Nina Gold is seeking an actress to bring Amy to life on the big screen and her choice will be ratified by the star’s family, who are involved in every aspect of the project.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Nina’s been searching in theatre schools and drama groups, looking for someone around 20 years old who will be made into a star.”
Winehouse became a global star with hits such as ‘Back to Black’ and ‘Rehab’ but her career was plagued by drug and alcohol addiction. She passed away in 2011 aged just 27 of alcohol poisoning.
Mitch and Janis were upset by Asif Kapadia’s 2015 documentary ‘Amy’ and released their own TV documentary ‘Reclaiming Amy’ – which featured home movie footage of the star and recollections of their daughter – which aired on the tenth anniversary of her death in 2021.
Gold is experienced in unearthing talent and propelled Daisy Ridley to fame in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise and also found Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner for the TV series ‘Game of Thrones’.
The casting director – who chose Colin Firth to play King George VI in the acclaimed movie ‘The King’s Speech’ – previously explained how it can be challenging to find the right performer to portray a real-life figure.
She explained: “You do need to make a decent stab at making them look a bit similar to the real person. It can be quite a lot to do with capturing the essence rather than a lookalike approach.
“Colin Firth looks nothing like the real Bertie and is much taller and was older than he was supposed to be. But he was so brilliant that one doesn’t even think about that, and he certainly made the role his own.”

Rylan Clark: Filming Gogglebox puts me on edge

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark is “always on edge” whilst filming ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ alongside his mum.
The TV presenter delighted fans after confirming he was returning to the Channel 4 show with his mother Linda this year, and after a year off from the programme the former ‘X Factor’ star says he’s “ready and raring to go”.
He told The Sun Online: “It’s the easiest job in the world but also the most worrying because I don’t know what is going to come out of her mouth.
“I can literally sit there and do f*** all and she just does it, which is great. She has no idea she’s even doing it.
“That is what makes it work with her, that is why people love her. I am always there thinking, ‘What the f*** is going to come out of her mouth?’ ”
The ‘Supermarket Sweep’ host, who is used to being in front of the camera, forgets he’s being filmed most of the time but loves taking part in ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’.
The 33-year-old star added: “You do forget they (the cameras) are there, which is a bit of worry, my mum feels comfortable because we are literally sat in my kitchen.
“The team is great. ‘Gogglebox’ have always been great with her so it’s always so lovely to be a part of it. I was gutted I couldn’t be part of it last year because I wasn’t too well. But I am thrilled to be back this year.”
‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ will return tonight (10.06.22) on Channel 4 at 9pm.

Line of Duty stars Vicky McClure and Martin Compston admit series 7 is yet to be planned

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky McClure and Martin Compston have admitted a new ‘Line of Duty’ series is yet to be “planned”, despite them sparking speculation by going for a meal with creator Jed Mercurio this week.
Season six of the hit police drama aired on the BBC last year and since then there has been plenty of speculation about whether Martin Compston and Vicky McClure – who play DI Steve Arnott and DI Kate Fleming in ‘Line of Duty’ – will be back for another series, and the rumours were rife again this week when they were spotted out with co-star Adrian Dunbar (Superintendent Ted Hastings) and show creator Jed.
But Martin has now told ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’: “We are chuffed that people still want it to come back.
“It has been 10 years now and the fact that people still want to see the show is amazing.
“If there is still a story to be told, I am sure Jed will bring us back.”
Vicky addressed the dinner picture that sent fans into a frenzy, and admitted there is nothing “set in stone”.
She said: “Nothing’s planned as yet – we just went out for a nice meal. Nothing planned and set in stone.
“We always have a long break between series, so it’s not really not normal compared to what we usually do.
“We adore working with each other. Jed’s writing is phenomenal. We’ve been working together for ten years now and the last series was incredible in terms of the response that we got. It was really quite tough to shoot because it was in COVID so it would be lovely to go back and not end that kind of way.”
Martin added: “For a sociable night out, it’s not a reason to recommission a series, but it’s such a sociable job in terms of the crew and all us hanging out.
“I think we were the first job back over COVID and we couldn’t see each other, hang out at night we couldn’t do anything – it wouldn’t be a great way to end it so – it’s not the way to recommission a job!”
Both Vicky and Martin took to Instagram on Wednesday (08.06.22) to share a picture of them dining outside a restaurant with both Adrian and Jed.
Vicky captioned hers “mates”, and Martin captioned his “talking tattoo designs”.
One fan wrote: “Literally zooms in immediately to see if that’s a menu or a plot outline!”

The Apprentice’s Alana Spencer hospitalised after breaking ribs

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Apprentice’ winner Alana Spencer has been admitted to hospital after breaking four ribs in a freak accident.
The reality TV star-turned-cake shop mogul shared a picture of herself lying on a stretcher on Instagram and told her followers she’d been injured while carrying out “manual work” at one of her businesses.
She wrote: “People often ask me why I insist upon doing all of my own manual work and have been telling me for years that I should always hire professionals instead.
“Well, today, for the first time ever, I think I’m prepared to admit…that they may be right!”
She then added the hashtag “fourbrokenribs”.
The picture showed Alana lying on a stretcher on the floor surrounded by paramedics. She later gave an update and revealed she’d taken a tumble from an eight foot ladder while she was decorating the inside of a new store in Carmarthen.
She explained she’d been putting up some fairy lights and joked the ladder came off worse.
In the video, Alana said: “We set ourselves four weeks to get this ready and open for the public, however, plot twist in a bid to do a lot of the work myself I took a bit of a tumble off the top of an eight foot ladder and have actually fractured four ribs.
“I think the ladder probably came off slightly worse than I did …”
She went on to admit the accident means she’s going to have to postpone the opening of the cake shop, saying: “We are probably going to have to push back the opening of the store by a week. So we’re aiming for the 24th June so only one week extra to wait. I promise you it’ll be worth the wait …
“I also promise you I won’t be getting back up a ladder to put up any more fairy lights … so if there’s a gap in the ceiling where those lights should be, you know why.”
Since winning Lord Sugar’s show ‘The Apprentice’ in 2016, Alana has expanded her cake and chocolate business, Ridiculously Rich, opening a number of shops around Wales with locations in Aberystwyth, Llandudno and Caernarfon.

Corrie star Colson Smith would love Lucy Fallon to make a cobbles comeback

OHMYGOSSIP — Colson Smith would love Lucy Fallon to return to ‘Coronation Street’.
The 23-year-old actor has played Craig Tinker on the ITV show for more than a decade, and he is keen to be reunited with his former co-star Lucy – who played Bethany Platt from 2015 until 2020 – admitting all of his co-stars would be “very happy” if she returned to Weatherfield.
When asked which former ‘Corrie’ star he would love to make a comeback, he said: “It has to be Lucy Fallon, who played Bethany Platt. She’s one of my best mates now and we get on so well.
“Working with her is like working with Lisa [George, aka Beth] and Ellie [Leah, aka Faye] – we always support each other. Craig and Bethany were a great duo and Lucy’s a brilliant person to have around, everyone would be very happy if she came back.”
Colson, who’s played police constable Craig since the age of 11, said if he could play any other character on the show it would be Nathan Graham’s alter-ego, footballer James Bailey, because the Leeds United fan would be able to “live out my footballer dream”.
He added: “I think that’s the closest I’d ever get. He gets to wear a tracksuit all day long, whereas I have to put on a 10-layer police uniform, which is fine until we get to summer and I’m left sweltering.”
Most recently, Colson competed on the ITV reality series ‘The Games’, and he loved appearing on TV as himself rather than a character for a change.
He told Inside Soap magazine: “It was great, and I liked doing something as Colson rather than Craig. It was a great opportunity and I’m so glad ‘Corrie’ let me wave the flag to represent them.
“My favourite event was the kayaking because it was so much fun, like being on a stag do! And the worst was the hurdles by a country mile, I never wasn’t to see a hurdle ever again.”

Chris Evans was intimidated by Lightyear role

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Evans was intimidated by replacing Tim Allen as the voice of Buzz Lightyear.
The 40-year-old star voices the legendary ‘Toy Story’ character in Pixar’s ‘Lightyear’, a new origin story for the toy, and explained that it was daunting to step into Tim’s shoes as Buzz.
Chris told Variety at the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles: “The first time you have to do that iconic line, ‘To Infinity and Beyond…,’ you kind of just do a shameless Tim Allen impression. It’s intimidating.
“But Angus (MacLane, the director) and everyone at Pixar was so collaborative, and you kind of let them guide you. Eventually you feel comfortable enough to make your own tracks in the snow and find your own interpretation, while still using Tim Allen as the blueprint.”
Keke Palmer stars in ‘Lightyear’ as Izzy Hawthorne and is excited for fans to get to see Evans’ take on Buzz Lightyear.
She said: “Wait until you guys hear how Chris Evans did Buzz. A lot of people probably feel like, ‘Oh my gosh, how can you do Buzz again? How can you replace Tim?’ There’s no replacing, but there is some evolution, and Chris nailed it. I can’t wait for the kids to get into it, and the parents.”
Palmer is a self-confessed ‘Toy Story’ fan and revealed that she wants to see Woody the cowboy given his own standalone film.
The 28-year-old actress said: “Point blank period! I need to know where my man Woody came from.”
Keke’s co-star Uzo Aduba thinks audiences will be satisfied with how the movie explores the backstory of Buzz.
She explained: “I think a lot of us had questions about who Buzz was and now we get a lot of those answers through this film. What does ‘To Infinity and Beyond’ mean, and why (is he) so serious?”
