‘It’ll get worse!’ I’m A Celebrity camp invaded by more snakes than usual

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ camp has been invaded by venomous snakes.
According to the programme’s Health and Safety Officer Jeremy Douglas, more serpents then usual have headed to the ITV show’s set in Australia this year, because the weather Down Under has been “so humid”.
Jeremy told The Sun newspaper: “We have had a lot of snakes on the site this year, possibly because it has been so humid.
“We have had pythons, and non-venomous and venomous species.
“You get small eyed snakes and brown tree snakes predominantly.”
Executive producer Laura Woolf confirmed there has already been 15 snake sightings, but admitted it will “get worse” when the 10 celebrities enter the jungle this weekend, because they tend to leave food around.
She added to the publication: “We’ve had 15 snake sightings across the site and then we’ve had to identify some venomous ones in camp.
“It gets worse when the celebs come in because they leave food everywhere. It’s like they don’t realise they’re living in a jungle!”
News of the increase in serpents in the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ jungle could be particularly terrifying for actress and singer Jamie Lynn Spears.
Speaking about her fears ahead of heading to the jungle, the 32-year-old star – the sister of Britney Spears – said: “Everything you’ve just mentioned (snakes, rats, heights) I am scared of.
“I am absolutely frightened of all of these things.”
As well as slippery serpents, Jamie will be joined in the jungle by former UKIP party leader Nigel Farage, who also isn’t a fan of snakes.
He recently said: “Nobody likes rats, and snakes.”

ITV has not come to play! I’m A Celebrity trials to be ‘toughest yet’ ahead of new series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ will return with the show’s toughest ever Bushtucker Trials this year.
Executive producer Laura Woolf has confirmed there will be never-before-seen aspects of the ITV reality show, and Sunday night’s (19.11.23) season premiere will be “bigger” than ever.
She told The Sun newspaper: “The launch show is bigger and there are things we have never done before.”
The eating trials are expected to feature bigger portions, including a new addition of the Scandinavian pickled herring surstromming, which has been dubbed the “smelliest food in the world”.
A source added to the publication: “ITV has not come to play this year. The brief to teams was bigger, better, harder and more disgusting than ever.
“Gone are the days of Helen Flanagan and Kim Woodburn shrieking through trials, and it’s been ages since our last ‘Get Me Out Of Here!’ when a celeb refuses to take part.
“They’ve all got tougher and more professional as nobody wants to be seen as a quitter.
“Bosses are determined to really push the line-up this year.”
Last week, it was revealed the Walk the Plank entry challenge – which airs on launch night – will be back again, and it is expected to feature slippery poles.
News of the Walk the Plank trial’s return will not be music to the ears of singer Marvin Humes, who has a phobia of heights.
Asked about his phobias, he said: “Heights. I have pulled out of a skydive with JLS in the past because I was too scared!
“Heights do terrify me as do the snakes, the rats and the food situation.”
Former UKIP party leader Nigel Farage is also not a fan of heights.
He said: “I am particularly dreading anything to do with heights and everyone will have a degree of apprehension, but again this is what the test is.”
‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ starts on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday 19 November at 9pm.

‘I was so worried’: Bradley Cooper spent six years preparing for Maestro scene

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Cooper spent six years learning how to conduct a six-minute piece of music for ‘Maestro’.
The 48-year-old actor directs and stars in the Netflix biopic as composer Leonard Bernstein and revealed the extreme lengths he went to for a scene that captures his character conducting the 1976 London Symphony Orchestra in Ely Cathedral.
Speaking at a Q and A in New York City, Bradley said: “That scene I was so worried about because we did it live. That was the London Symphony Orchestra. I was recorded live, I had to conduct them. And I spent six years learning how to conduct six minutes and 21 seconds of music.”
The ‘A Star Is Born’ actor thanked his “wonderful teachers” for helping him to recreate Bernstein’s style with the baton.
Bradley explained: “I was able to get the raw take where I just watched Leonard Bernstein (conduct) at Ely Cathedral with the London Symphony Orchestra in 1976. And so I had that to study.
“And Yannick Nezet-Seguin made videos with all the tempo changes, so I had all of the materials to just work on.”
Bradley – who was joined at the event by co-stars Carey Mulligan and Matt Bomer -explained that he worked tirelessly on the scene as he was “terrified” about not enjoying his performance as the famed composer.
He said: “It was really about dialing exactly what I wanted cinematically and then inviting them to inhabit that space and trusting that they have all done the work. Because I think that I knew, I was terrified, absolutely terrified that if I hadn’t done the work I wouldn’t be able to enjoy myself in these scenes. And everybody did.”

Love Island’s Tanyel engaged to boyfriend she met before the show – 9 months after villa dumping

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ star Tanyel Revan is engaged to her boyfriend she met before the show – nine months after she was dumped from the programme.
The 27-year-old hair stylist has told how her significant other Ediz, 31, popped the question during a romantic getaway in Istanbul, Turkey, last week.
She told The Sun newspaper: “It was on the second day of the holiday [8th]. We’ve got a family friend that comes out here for business a lot – he does a lot of business here and he knows someone who has a yacht.
“He lied to me and said that he’d done us a favour and would give us a free cruise around Istanbul and that he got a photographer so that I could get some content.
“I thought ‘Who the hell would do that for free?’ I was thinking, ‘There’s no chance, he’s definitely paid for a yacht and this is his cover-up story.’ I thought ‘That’s a bit extreme, I don’t care about content that much.’
“But I went with the flow and didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to ruin it and also didn’t want to get too excited in case it wasn’t happening.
“So I got ready and the yacht picked us up. The view was beautiful.”
Tanyel dressed up for the occasion just in case it was for a proposal, and she thinks Ediz knew she “had a feeling” it might be a big occasion.
She said: “I was properly dressed up, the dress I was wearing was House of CB and it literally looked like a wedding dress, it was lace.
“I went the extra mile and I think he could tell that I had a feeling because it was so over the top.”
Tanyel then gushed about the moment she saw her man go down on one knee during the yacht trip.
She explained: “They told me not to turn around – I had such a strong feeling at this point that something was going to happen.
“I turned around and he was on one knee. It was really cute.
“It was crazy. I feel like this is the quickest that anyone has gotten engaged after ‘Love Island’. It’s very mad, but it’s really exciting.”

Molly-Mae Hague has ‘never really got over’ accidentally donating 2k coat to charity

OHMYGOSSIP — Molly-Mae Hague still sheds a tear when she thinks of her “dream” £2,000 coat she accidentally donated to charity.
The ‘Love Island’ star, 24, has told how she “never really got over” accidentally giving away her Max Mara Teddy Bear Icon Coat, after purchasing the clothing item for herself as a “massive treat”.
Speaking on her YouTube channel, she said: “This is a massive dupe from a coat I once owned from a brand called Max Mara.
“Funny story, [it] actually ended up in a charity shop. That coat was my dream coat. I spent an absolute fortune on it. I think that coat was around £2,000 or something insane.
“I have never spent that kind of money on a coat. It was a massive splurge and a massive treat.
“I was having a huge sort out about a year ago and I think the Max Mara ended up in the wrong pile in a bin bag and ended up at a charity shop nearby.”
Molly-Mae then joked her coat likely found a new home with a very happy owner.
She said: “So, someone is walking around with my Max Mara coat on now that they probably got for about, I don’t know, if the charity shop knew what they were selling then they probably did sell it for quite a good price, which I’m happy about because at least it went to charity, but big mistake.
“I never really got over it, [I] still shed a tear when I think about it late at night.”
The model asked herself whether she would buy another Max Mara coat, with the white version she previously owned now retailing for an eye-watering £2,465 and the caramel colour for £2,725.
She continued: “Will I repeat buy the Max Mara coat at some point because I liked it so much? Maybe, because honestly it was the coat of dreams. It was absolutely stunning.
“But when I saw this coat it really reminded me of that coat. It’s an absolute dupe of that and £40 vs £2,000 I will take this any day of the week.”

Vernon Kay raises over 1.3m for charity in Ultra Ultramarathon Challenge

OHMYGOSSIP — Vernon Kay has raised more than £1.3 million for charity during his brutal Ultra Ultramarathon Challenge – but it has left him “absolutely shattered”.
The BBC Radio 2 presenter, 49, was cheered on by onlookers as he completed more than 40 miles on Wednesday (15.11.23), and he is due to run more than 30 miles on Thursday (16.11.23) before reaching Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium tonight, and then pushing forward to the Bolton Wanderers Football Stadium on Friday (17.11.23).
During Radio 2’s ‘The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show’ on Thursday morning, Vernon chatted about his progress, and was called a “hero”.
He said: “It was brilliant! It was awesome and do you know what? A lot of people have showed up this morning as well, they’ve been here for quite a while, and I’ve got loads of friends that live in Buxton, I call them the Rave Brigade from up Buxton, and the Derbyshire Dales, and they’ve all come out to see me, which brings back so many happy memories from when we were out raving and whatnot, its brilliant.”
The 42-year-old presenter then quizzed the former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ star about how he was physically holding up, to which he admitted he was “absolutely shattered”.
He said: “It was an interesting one yesterday because I was absolutely shattered after the 40 miles and then I came in and then there’s obviously … your body pumps itself full of adrenaline when you see everyone smiling and clapping and cheering, and whooping and hollering.
“And then there’s that lull, where you just sit down and you kind of slowly take it all in and try and compute what’s happened and then I got into my bedroom and I just literally collapsed on the bed!
“And this morning, I couldn’t wake up and I felt really a bit, I said to the gang, I said, ‘I feel sick this morning, I feel a bit light-headed, stomachs not the best’, and they were like, ‘oh it’s to be expected, because of everything that you’ve done.’ ”
Vernon’s parents also offered their support for him during an appearance on ‘The Jo Whiley Show’.
Gladys, his mother, said: “Hello Vern. Right now listen, you’re doing wonderfully. Honestly, I can’t tell you, all this love and support that you’re getting is getting to me. I’m so so proud, I’m filling up because you know how much you’re loved and to hear these comments about you online and listening to all these people and writing it up to my son, it’s just too much.”
His father then jokingly added: “Yeah, do what your mum says. She’s the boss.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Matty has been evicted from ‘Big Brother’.
The 24-year-old doctor has become the latest contestant to leave the house, one day short of the ‘Big Brother’ finale.
Matty was informed of his fate at the end of his letter from home, which was read aloud by Yinrun.
She said: “Dear Matty, where do I begin? I have enjoyed watching you so much.
“It’s been great to watch your friendships with your housemates develop.
“Your humour, kindness and sensitivity has always been at the heart of everything you’ve done.”
However, Matt’s eviction was subsequently revealed in the letter, which prompted a shocked reaction from the housemates.
Yinrun said: “Unfortunately, your time is up. The public has been voting. Matty, you are the 11th housemate to be evicted.”
Matty’s exit now means that one of Henry, Noky, Jordan, Yinrun and Olivia will win the series.
Each of the housemates received a letter from home during the penultimate episode.
Big Brother explained: “Before the gates of heaven close for the day, I wanted to give you all the ultimate heavenly gift – your letters from home.”
Noky’s letter from her sister read: “To my best friend, from the second I was born I have looked up to you in every single way – we were meant to be sisters.”
Elsewhere, Olivia received a letter from her parents.
The letter read: “We are the proudest mum and dad ever. Gran, Po and James are all so proud but we will warn you now, Gran is wanting a word about your swearing!”

Josie Gibson prepared her son for her I’m A Celebrity appearance

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson has made “a lot of videos” for her son to watch while she’s in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ camp.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter’s little boy Reggie, five, will be staying with family while she heads Down Under for the show and the 38-year-old star – who split from the youngster’s father Terry four months after giving birth – has done all she can to prepare her child for their separation.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I’ve done him a lot of videos before I left and also I’ve explained everything that I possibly can to him ever since I signed up.
“So, each morning we’ve been waking up and he says ‘mummy are we going to Australia now?’ And I go ‘not yet Reg’ and he’s going ‘when are we going into the jungle?’
“So none of it has come as a shock to him, he’s got his head around it.”
Reggie will travel out to Australia midway through the series and Josie is excited about him getting to see the country.
She added: “When he comes over he’ll be going to wildlife sanctuaries and learning all about Australia.
“They’re gonna go and cuddle koalas and they’ll be coming into the jungle with ITV’s brilliant family and friends team.
“There’ll be plenty of cuddles when I come out and at the end of the day this will better me and Reg and it’s all going to be good.
“He’s going to be experiencing Australia while I’m going to be tucking down on mealworms.”
The former ‘Big Brother’ contestant credits her son for having given her confidence.
She said: “I did not come into myself until I had Reg, I found my confidence, I had a lot more respect for myself after I had Reg and I really found myself as a woman. He really gave me the confidence that I always wanted.
“A lot of people think when you have a baby, life is sort of over for you whereas mine just really began again.
“I think if somebody would have told me that I’d be presenting ‘This Morning’, on ‘I’m a Celebrity…’ not even that long ago, I wouldn’t have even believed you, never ever.
“And it just goes to show, doesn’t it? Don’t ever think things are out of your reach.”

Will Ferrell expected Barbie to make ‘real cultural statement’

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Ferrell knew ‘Barbie’ would have “a real cultural statement” as soon as he walked on set.
The 56-year-old actor portrayed Mattel’s CEO in the movie and he quickly realised the film was going to be “huge” as soon as he read Greta Gerwig’s script.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I’m so happy for Greta and for Margot [Robbie] and Ryan [Gosling].
“When I read that script, I was like ‘this is going to be huge.’
“When I walked onto those sets and saw that Mattel was actually letting this happen, I thought ‘Oh my gosh, this could have a real chance to be one of those zeitgeist things that has a real cultural statement.'”
Will – who has been unable to talk about or promote the films he has been in, including ‘Barbie’, until now because of the 118-day actors strike – believes the movie deserves “every accolade”.
He said: “I love that people flocked to see it and they deserve every accolade.”
The movie has taken more than $1.4 billion at the global box office.
Will isn’t the only star to have got excited when they first received the script.
America Ferrera admitted it was a “no-brainer” for her to sign on to play Mattel employee Gloria – who discovers Barbie in the real world – and she felt “moved” to have been considered.
She previously said: “Once I read the script, absolutely. I finished the script and I was laughing and crying and I just felt so moved that Greta saw me in the role of Gloria. It was a no-brainer.”
The ‘Ugly Betty’ star was impressed by the “stacked” quality of the cast.
America said: “When I came on, it was Margot and Ryan who I had been a big fan of for a long time.
“It was a great cast to join and it just kept getting more and more stacked.”
But the star also quipped that she would like to take a “break” from the colour pink after working on the movie.
She said: “I’ve had a whole lot of pink in my life in the last year. I love pink – I sometimes, you know, wanna break from it – but I love our Barbie pink world.”

‘It’s just a matter of time!’ Harold and Kumar writers ‘determined’ to make 4th film

OHMYGOSSIP — Harold and Kumar’s writers are “determined” to make a fourth film.
Jon Hurwitz – who co-wrote the 2004 original movie alongside Hayden Schlossberg – has told how the team behind the three comedy films are “dying” to produce a fourth motion picture in the series.
Hurwitz told ComicBook.com: “Well, first of all, we are dying to make another one. We’ve been a little bit busy lately between ‘Cobra Kai’ and ‘Obliterated’.
“We had a dinner not long ago. About a month ago with John (Cho) and Kal (Penn).”
Hurwitz admitted it is “just a matter of time” before they make the fourth film.
He added: “We’re all talking about making another one. It’s really just a matter of time.
“It’s figuring out when it could all fit into all of our schedules.
“It’s something that we’re all determined to do. We just need to find the time to do it.”
The first film in the series, ‘Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle’, featured Harold Lee (John Cho) and Kumar Patel (Kal Penn) on an adventure to a White Castle restaurant after smoking marijuana.
Last year, Penn admitted he is hopeful something can be “figured out” by 2024, when the first movie turns 20 years old.
He told the website: “Well, if it’s Christmas-wise they’ve probably smoked a little bit, maybe eating some turkey and Brussels sprouts.
“You know, doing their thing. But they also had kids in the third one, right?
“So they’re probably doing it the way that only they do.
“I hesitate even answering that question because all of us want to do a fourth movie, we just need to figure out the right timing.
“You’ve got the 20-year anniversary coming up, so maybe we can figure out something by then.”
