Glen Powell starring in a new take on Heaven Can Wait

OHMYGOSSIP — Glen Powell is to star in a reimagining of ‘Heaven Can Wait’.
The 35-year-old actor has been cast in a new take on the 1978 movie with Oscar-winning screenwriter Stephen Gaghan penning the project.
Based on Harry Segall’s 1930s stage play, the original movie starred Warren Beatty as an NFL quarterback who dies prematurely after mistakenly being taken to heaven by his guardian angel before returning to Earth in the body of a recently murdered millionaire.
Beatty directed the film alongside Buck Henry and it was nominated for nine Academy Awards – including for Best Picture.
Segall’s play has also been adapted for the big screen in the 1941 picture ‘Here Comes Mr. Jordan’, in which the main character was a boxer, and then again in the 2001 comedy ‘Down to Earth’ that centred on a comedian played by Chris Rock.
Glen’s version is not thought to be a remake as it won’t focus on an NFL player but will feature the same concept of a man taken before his time.
Powell successfully teamed up with Sydney Sweeney on the hit romantic comedy ‘Anyone But You’ and revealed earlier this year that the pair want to keep the partnership going by working on another movie together.
The ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ star told Variety: “When you find somebody that you really jive with, Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun. We’re definitely trying to find the next thing. Please send us all the scripts you got. It’s been really wonderful to read a lot.
“Sydney reads everything, by the way, and in record time. She’s the fastest reader I think I’ve ever met. It takes me a little longer, but we’re reading everything and just trying to see what makes sense, what we can turn into something that audiences are going to respond to.”

David Walliams ‘hasn’t had the chance’ to watch new Britain’s Got talent

OHMYGOSSIP — David Walliams still “hasn’t had the chance” to watch the new series of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The 52-year-old star left the ITV show in November 2022 after audio transcripts of him making disrespectful comments about contestants two years prior were leaked, and now David has admitted he has not been staying up-to-date with the programme.
During an appearance on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, host Lorraine Kelly asked him: “‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is on, how are you feeling about that? Do you watch, do you not watch? Are you a bit sorry about it all?”
David replied: “Well, I’ve been travelling a lot so I haven’t had a chance to see it.”
After exiting the show, the comedian issued an apology for his behaviour.
In a statement at the time, he said: “I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2020.
“These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry.”
Currently, David is working with Matt Lucas, 50, on a new show, which will be “edgy” in a similar way to controversial BBC sketch show ‘Little Britain’, which initially aired between 2003 and 2006.
Teasing what fans can expect from the programme, the writer promised non-PC jokes similar to the original series, as well as his and Matt’s other comedy show ‘Come Fly With Me’.
During an appearance on ‘The Therapy Crouch’ podcast, he said: “We’re writing again but we want to do entirely new characters like ‘Come Fly With Me’.
“It’s a little bit edgy, there are jokes in it that are like, not in terrible taste, but – you – know – like ‘Little Britain’ was and ‘Come Fly With Me’.
“No, it’s not trendy, it’s edgy. It’s walking a line that some people might be a little shocked at.”

Jeremy Clarkson helps change the law for farmers

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson has helped cut red tape for British farmers.
After his spout with the West Oxfordshire District Council over his desire to convert a barn on his Diddly Squat farm into a restaurant made headlines, the UK government have now passed a new so-called Clarkson’s Clause law that will allow farmers to transform their unused buildings into homes or shops without applying for planning permission.
In a statement on Gov.uk, Minister for Housing, Planning and Building Safety Lee Rowley said: “Farmers are the lifeblood of communities, and these changes give them the freedom to grow their businesses, and plan for their futures.
“This is all part of our Long-term Plan for Housing to deliver more homes for rural communities and reform the planning system, removing unnecessary barriers to development.”
Secretary of State Michael Gove added the policy would prioritise the “broader health of our farming economy”.
Speaking with the BBC’s Farming Today, he said: “The broader health of our farming economy and rural England matters more than an individual who worries that what was once a barn has become a home.”
Earlier this month, the former ‘Top Gear’ presenter, 64, released the third series of his hit Amazon Prime show ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ which follows Jeremy’s struggles as he tries to turn a profit from his Diddly Squat Farm while the industry continues to suffer from surging prices.
‘The Grand Tour’ host admitted he has had sleepless nights over the challenges of making money on his farm.
According to the Daily Mail, he said: “Last year before the harvest we had to lay out £108,000 on diesel, fertiliser sprays, and the seed itself.
“That’s fine if the weather is okay because you’re going to make that money back. But you have a hell of a lot of sleepless nights when you know that one rainstorm could wreck the lot.”
Jeremy conceded “everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong” after the council forced him to close his restaurant due to complaints from locals about traffic.
He continued: “On top of all of this, there was the pretty little restaurant that we opened earlier in the summer to sell the food we’d grown and reared on the farm.
“But after just six weeks, the council served us with an enforcement notice telling us it had to close. With the restaurant shut down we could no longer afford to keep all of the cows.”

Clara Amfo returns to BBC with brand new show just weeks after leaving Radio 1

OHMYGOSSIP — Clara Amfo is returning to the BBC just two months after quitting Radio 1.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star stepped down from her role on the ‘Future Sounds’ show after three years, but she is now set for another big project with the broadcaster.
The BBC has announced Clara will front a new podcast ‘Make Me A Mixtape’ alongside Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens.
The show will see the duo competing against each other to create the perfect playlist based on a specific theme.
In a press release, the BBC revealed: “In this new series, once the theme is set by the listener, or celebrity guest, Clara and Jordan will battle it out to curate the perfect mixtape.
“As Clara and Jordan push for perfection there will be killer stories, incredible celebrity drop ins, hilarious confessions, tea-spilling reveals and full throttle music passion.
“The power is then in the listeners’ hands to decide who curated the best mixtape for them.”
The longtime pals will use their own musical knowledge, tastes and experiences in “a format where human beings, not algorithms, pick the best tracks”.
The programme is being produced by Audio Always for BBC Music and BBC Sounds.
Last month, it was revealed Clara has landed her own live primetime music show on ITV, with ‘ITV Studio Sessions’ now recorded at The O2 and available to stream on ITVX, with new episodes airing each Friday night.
The series platforms some of the most talented UK musicians as well as championing new singers with Becky Hill, Cat Burns, Jess Glynne, Tom Walker, YUNGBLUD and Sekou, as they perform new music, old favourites and one-of-a-kind covers allowing audiences to enjoy the artists in a whole new light.
Back in December, Clara announced her departure from ‘Future Sounds’, and revealed she was looking forward to the next stage of her career.
She said at the time: “I’m energised and excited for my next chapter as part of the network and beyond.”

‘It’d be a no-brainer’: Tom Blyth open to reprising The Hunger Games role

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Blyth is willing to return to ‘The Hunger Games’ franchise.
The 29-year-old actor played a young Coriolanus Snow in last year’s prequel movie ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ and is intrigued by the opportunity to explore the character further in future projects.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Tom said: “Yeah, yeah, yeah. It’d be a no-brainer. I feel like I was so fortunate to get to step into that world, and I really love everyone involved: Francis Lawrence, Nina Jacobson and Suzanne Collins.
“But it would be really cool to keep digging into that story, and I do think that fans feel this too. I think they were very excited to reignite the world, and I think people feel like within that reigniting, there’s more to do. There are more stories to delve into.
“I do think there’s more to Coriolanus’ story to delve into, whether he’s the lead character or whether he’s a periphery character and we look at someone else’s story. But I think it’d be fascinating to see his continued rise to power and what happens along the way.”
Tom’s co-star Rachel Zegler previously expressed hope that she could return to the franchise after starring as protagonist Lucy Gray Baird in the prequel as her alter ego’s fate was left unclear.
Referencing Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Can’t Catch Me Now’ track that features in the movie’s end credits, Rachel told Deadline: “I don’t know. It’s not up to me, but as Olivia Rodrigo said, ‘She’s in the trees, she’s in the breeze.’
“So, I don’t actually know what’s going to happen. I, for one, like to believe she’s alive.”

Maria Bakalova: The Apprentice isn’t a Donald Trump biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Maria Bakalova doesn’t consider ‘The Apprentice’ to be a Donald Trump “biopic”.
The 27-year-old actress plays the former US president’s first wife Ivana Trump in the movie about his business career during the 1970s and 80s and insists that Ali Abbasi’s film is about more than just the controversial politician – who is portrayed by Sebastian Stan in the flick.
Maria told Deadline’s Breaking Baz column at the Cannes Film Festival: “This is not a biopic. I don’t see this as a biopic, because not every single detail of Trump’s life exists in this movie.
“And I don’t want to say this is a Trump movie. I think this is a bigger movie than just focused on one person that is not completely the same story. And it’s inspired by him, but it’s not a biopic for me.”
‘The Apprentice’ implies that Ivana, who died in 2022 at the age of 73, was a key figure in her husband’s business success and Maria embraced the chance to play the “larger-than-life character”.
The ‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm’ star said: “I think she’s been very smart and knew how to get where she wanted to get, and had a lot to offer.
“It was very interesting, because she’s this larger-than-life character. It’s not a flat character. We did a lot of scenes. A lot of the scenes currently are not in the movie.
“But we got a chance to play with her and try different things – even the way she used her voice, because I was watching a lot of interviews. Sometimes she’s speaking with a lower tone, sometimes she’s speaking very feminine. And I feel like that’s how she tried to express on another level.”
Maria continued: “So we were thinking about building her layer so she can be feminine, she can be demanding, she can be outspoken yet soft-spoken and not be scared to say no to things and being a tough cookie, as Trump described her. And also standing up for the people that she loves and cares about.
“So Ali always talked to me about, ‘Think about her, think about her. She’s not just a regular person. She’s this larger-than-life character. She’s that woman. So play her with love and respect.’ And I hope I did, because I fell in love with her.”

Ncuti Gatwa reveals which Sex Education stars he wants in Doctor Who: ‘Sci-fi royalty’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ncuti Gatwa would love Gillian Anderson to join ‘Doctor Who’ as a villain.
The 31-year-old actor rose to fame as Eric in ‘Sex Education’ before stepping into the TARDIS, and he’d like to be reunited with his co-star as part of the hit BBC sci-fi show.
He told Attitude magazine: “My dream casting for a Doctor Who villain would be Gillian Anderson, because she is exceptional!
“She is sci-fi royalty, and she would make a fabulous, fabulous villain.”
Gillian played sex therapist Jean on the show, and Ncuti thinks her on-screen son Otis – played by Asa Butterfield – would be a great choice to join the Fifteenth Doctor on his adventures.
He added: “The person I’d take from ‘Sex Education’, from the land of Moordale into the Whoniverse would be Asa/Otis, my companion of life.”
When it comes to ‘Doctor Who’ villains, the ‘Barbie’ actor admitted he was left terrified by Maestro in ‘The Devil’s Chord’ episode.
He said: “The villain that has frightened me the most this season, I would say, definitely is Jinkx Monsoon’s character.”
There is more to come, as showrunner Russell T. Davies teased something special and “hard to describe” for this week’s episode ’73 Yards.
He told RadioTimes.com: “Episode 4 has got possibly the strangest villain you’ll ever see.
“You have to come and watch – even in an interview like this, it’s hard to describe. You’ve got to come and watch episode 4 to understand what’s going on.”
Despite keeping tightlipped on the villain, Russell has given a tease of what to expect from the episode as a whole, which is taking a horror twist.
He told the ‘Official Doctor Who Podcast’: “This is Welsh folk horror coming up, with an astonishing cast… It’s spooky, it’s strange, it’s genuinely unlike any other episode we’ve ever done before.
“We all found ourselves fascinated by making this. We had to test so much and get so much exactly right.
“It’s very strange, ’73 yards’ is very significantly important. Pay attention to those scrolls at the beginning and you might wonder what the message means – ‘Rest in peace, Mad Jack.'”

MasterChef crowns 2024 winner after ‘best final’ in the show’s 20 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Brin Pirathapan has won this year’s ‘MasterChef’.
The 29-year-old veterinary surgeon beat off competition from Louise Lyons Macleod, 44, and Chris Willoughby, 44, to be awarded the 2024 title by judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode, who claimed it was the “best final” in the show’s 20-year history.
Reflecting on his victory, Brin said: “I’m absolutely chuffed to bits. I can’t breathe!
“I’m a big mix of my background, my culture and all the opportunities my parents have given me.
“They’ve been incredible and I’ve done it for them as much as I’ve done it for myself.
“The experience itself has been incredible and to top it off with this is just the most amazing thing, ever.”
John praised Brin’s flavour combinations, and admitted his three-course meal in the final would be welcome in any restaurant across the country.
He said: “Brin is an extraordinary cook and an amazing talent.
“He takes combinations that don’t sound like they belong together, but they actually work.
“Today, he’s delivered three absolutely sensational courses that could grace the table of any restaurant up and down the land.”
Gregg also heaped praise on the “unique” star, insisting he is one of the “cleverest talents” he has ever seen in the ‘MasterChef’ kitchen.
He added: “These are ingredient combinations that Brin is inventing.
“That makes him dangerously clever. He’s got technique, he’s got creativity.
“In my experience, Brin is unique. One of the cleverest talents I’ve ever, ever seen.”
Brin clinched the coveted ‘MasterChef’ trophy after wowing John and Gregg in the final challenge – to show culinary skill, determination and creativity by cooking up a three-course meal.
Brin’s winning menu started with fried capers, pickled chilli, pickled and charred shallots, orange and honey-glazed octopus with tempura mussels, herb tuilles dusted with scallop roe, an orange gel and samphire, on a romesco sauce.
His main course was spiced venison loin, beef short-rib and pickled mushroom tartlet, celeriac and miso purée, salt-baked beetroot and pak choi, served with a gochujang and red wine sauce split with a herb oil.
And he finished his menu with a dessert of white chocolate and cardamom and saffron cremeux, with pistachio meringue shards, whisky-poached mango, raspberry gel, pistachio crumb and a mango, lime and chili sorbet.

Hugh Jackman didn’t tell his agent before accepting Deadpool and Wolverine role

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman committed to ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ without even speaking to his agent.
The 55-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as the iconic ‘X-Men’ superhero – who was killed off in 2017’s ‘Logan’ – alongside Ryan Reynolds in the epic crossover blockbuster, and he was determined to put on the famous claws one more time.
He was driving when Ryan, 47, phoned him to make the offer, and recalling the moment he got back home, he told Fandango: “I rang Ryan. And I just said, ‘Let’s do it.’
“Like, I hadn’t rung my agent, no one. I had to ring my agent and said, ‘Oh, by the way, I have just committed to a movie.’ ”
Hugh described the decision as a feeling “deep in his gut”, even though he genuinely expected to never play Wolverine again after his final movie seven years ago.
He added: “I was on my way, I was just driving, and literally, just like a bolt of lightning, came this knowing deep in my gut that I wanted to do this film with Ryan.
“For Deadpool and Wolverine to come back together. I swear to you, When I said I was done, I really thought I was done.
“But in the back of my head, ever since I saw Deadpool 1, I was like, ‘Those two characters together.’
“I knew it, I knew the fans wanted it ever since I put on the claws, people talked about these two. So, that had always been there, but I just knew.”
Marvel boss Kevin Feige wasn’t quite so keen on the idea, and even urged Hugh to stay away from the role after his farewell.
He told Empire magazine: “I said, ‘Let me give you a piece of advice, Hugh. Don’t come back’.
“‘You had the greatest ending in history with ‘Logan.’ That’s not something we should undo.’”

Rupert Friend to star alongside Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey in Jurassic World

OHMYGOSSIP — Rupert Friend is to star in ‘Jurassic World’.
The ‘Asteroid City’ star will appear alongside Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey in the latest film in the dinosaur franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
But it’s not yet known who Friend will portray in the Universal Pictures motion picture.
Gareth Edwards is to direct the movie, and David Koepp – who co-wrote 1993 original ‘Jurassic Park’, and wrote 1997 follow-up ‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park’ – has penned the script for the forthcoming film.
Casting is underway ahead of a production start in mid-June, in London, with a planned release date of July 2, 2025.
Last month, it was revealed Johansson is set to produce the movie as well as star in the project, just as Margot Robbie did with ‘Barbie’.
A movie insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Scarlett has been in talks with the studio for months and made it clear that Gareth was her first choice to be the director.
“He wanted a big fee but has now signed. With him being her top pick, she is now far more interested in being part of the movie and her role as an actress and producer is justifiable.”
Steven Spielberg, who directed the original ‘Jurassic Park’, is to executive produce the upcoming movie.
The forthcoming flick is the seventh in the franchise, but filmmaker Colin Trevorrow previously suggested sequels shouldn’t have been made after his 2022 film ‘Jurassic World Dominion’ suffered from negative reviews.
He told Empire magazine: “There probably should have only been one ‘Jurassic Park’ – but if we’re gonna do it, how can I allow them to tell stories in a world which dinosaurs exist, as opposed to, ‘Here’s another reason why we’re going to an island?’ ”

The Fortune Hotel future ‘revealed’ after first series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Fortune Hotel’ is reportedly already set to return for a second series.
The strategic gameshow – which is presented by Stephen Mangan sees 10 pairs given a briefcase, with one containing a huge £250,000 prize – has proven to be a hit with fans as the first eight episodes have aired, and ITV is looking into plans for another run.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “Launching new formats is a gamble these days and an uncommonly large number have fallen by the wayside despite them showing some promise.
“Channel 4 poured huge budgets into reality shows ‘Scared Of The Dark’ and ‘Rise And Fall’, for example, but couldn’t justify taking them to a second series.
“That won’t be the case for The Fortune Hotel, though. Despite a considerable spend, ITV is working on plans for round two.”
On the show, the contestants have to decided whether to keep or swap their cases, with another one containing an early checkout card, and the remaining eight being empty.
Earlier this week, the show pulled in its biggest audience to date with a peak of over 2.6 million viewers.
There have been plenty of comparisons to ‘The Traitors’ – which hit 3.5 million for its first episode, including online viewing figures – but ITV remains undeterred.
The source added: “‘The Fortune Hotel’ hasn’t been able to shake the comparisons to ‘The Traitors’, but people seem to have forgotten that it was only towards the end of the first series that the BBC One show gained a real following.
“ITV has clearly seen enough in the stats, including a solid start with the crucial 16-34 audience, to plough on for series two.”
Like BBC’s game of bluff, ‘The Fortune Hotel’ has seen plenty of scheming and drama as the contestants figured out the best path to victory.
The insider said: “It took even the players a few days to work out how to really play the game, but now the in-fighting and suspicions are bubbling over.”

Ruth Langsford worries Eamonn Holmes may ‘never be 100 percent’ after health woes

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford is worried Eamon Holmes “might never be 100 percent right” amid his health struggles.
The 64-year-old presenter is concerned for her husband – who she has been married to for 14 years – after he has suffered with chronic back pain for almost two years.
She told Women’s Weekly: “I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope.
“He does the physio, but there might have to be some acceptance that this might never be 100 percent right.
“With any care situation – and there are millions of carers in this country – it isn’t always easy. It’s testing but we manage as a family.”
The ‘Loose Women’ star admitted her husband’s struggles have made her truly realise the importance of health.
She added: “I look at Eamonn, who’s had his health and back problems, and it makes you realise how important your health is.”
Her comments come after recent photos showed Eamonn, also 64, with two walking sticks – and later in a wheelchair – after a difficult physio session.
He previously had surgery on his back due to bulging discs, but he fell and broke his shoulder last year, which has set back his recovery.
A source recently told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Eamonn has been using walking aids for around 18 months now so not much has changed unfortunately.
“He is doing everything he can but the lack of progress from the physio has obviously been a bit frustrating.
“But he continues to have physio sessions pretty much every day and continues to work hard in his rehabilitation.
“He is in pain a lot of the time and so that is not fun at all but he keeps going and he is loving his work still and he is a journalist at heart.”
Eamonn still works three days a week for GB News, but earlier this year and admitted he is worried about the “harsh reality” that he could never walk alone again with aids.
He said: “I have tried every treatment, but you go, ‘Maybe I’ll never get out of it,’ which is a harsh reality to face.”

Shona McGarty reveals final EastEnders episode date and why she isn’t tuning in

OHMYGOSSIP — Shona McGarty won’t be tuning into her “emotional” final ‘EastEnders’ episode as it airs.
The 32-year-old actress – who first played Whitney Dean on the BBC soap in 2008 – is leaving Albert Square after 16 years, and her last ever episode will air on Thursday (23.05.24).
She said in a video shared on Instagram: “Hey guys.
“So this is a little message just to say I have of course been following Whitney’s journey this week and obviously it’s her last week, which has been really emotional to watch because I know it’s coming to an end.”
Unfortunately, she won’t be able to tune in with everyone else because she’s away rehearsing for her role in ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’ this summer.
Her partner David Bracken has to travel back to Ireland to play a show, and Shona would rather wait until the weekend to catch the episode with her “whole family”.
She continued: “[He] has to fly back to Ireland because he has a gig, obviously he’s a musician and that’s the name of the game.
“So I really want to watch my last episode, which is tomorrow night… I really want to watch [it] with him and with my whole family, just like I did with my first episode.
“So I’m not going to watch my last episode until Saturday when David’s home and I’m back home. So if I’m not really active on [social media] it’s because I’m trying not to get distracted and watch it.”
The video cut out, and in a follow-up she admitted she “got a bit emotional” talking about her farewell.
She said: “Sorry about that. Got a bit emotional, which is only natural. I mean, I’ve been there for 16 years.
“It has been really emotional and I just want to say thank you to everyone who’s ever supported Whitney, ever. Or even if you didn’t support Whitney and you gave me a hate comment … it’s still support.”
She reiterated that it was “her decision” to leave the soap, and she’s grateful to her fans along the way.
She added: “I just want to say thanks. Thanks for everything. And I’m not gonna be watching my episode until Saturday, so there you go.
“But thank you so much for everything. 16 years is a long time. It’s been a tough old paper round. I’ve loved every single minute of it.
“And who knows… the door is wide open and Whitney could come back in in her high heels and really big earrings one day. Love you all loads.”

However, Mail Sport reports that neither broadcaster has been able to make a deal, with the former Reds chief expected to watch the tournament as a fan in his home nation.

Alan Halsall hoping to take part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Halsall is hoping to take part in ‘I’m A Celebrity. . . Get Me Out of Here!’ this year.
The ‘Coronation Street’ legend – who has played Tyrone Dobbs for 26 years – had been due to go into the Australian jungle last year but his trip Down Under was cancelled after he needed major knee surgery, but he’s hoping to be recovered enough to take on the gruelling challenges of the show in a few months time.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Alan was gutted when circumstances meant he couldn’t be considered for the line-up last year.
“I’m A Celebrity producers were also disappointed because they often like to have a Corrie star in the mix, and he is a particularly popular member of the cast.
“Alan and the show bosses are just glad he’s now in a position to be part of this year’s show — though the official line-up is months away from being confirmed.”
The 41-year-old actor took a short break from ‘Corrie’ when he underwent surgery to reconstruct his anterior cruciate ligament last November.
He admitted at the time it would take almost a year to fully recover from the operation.
He wrote on Instagram after the procedure: “I have been told the surgery went really well.
“I know I have a long nine–12 months of rehabilitation ahead of me, but I’m sure with the support of family + friends I’ll get there.
“Any rehab tips or advice?”
When Alan was first speculated to be going on the ITV1 reality show, it was claimed producers were “over the moon” to have him on board.
A source said at the time: “Tyrone is one of Corrie’s most-loved characters so Alan comes with a ready-made fan base.
“Sometimes soap actors who are known for their iconic roles don’t quite translate once in camp – Adam Woodyatt being one recent example.
