Clara Amfo returns to BBC with brand new show just weeks after leaving Radio 1

OHMYGOSSIP — Clara Amfo is returning to the BBC just two months after quitting Radio 1.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star stepped down from her role on the ‘Future Sounds’ show after three years, but she is now set for another big project with the broadcaster.
The BBC has announced Clara will front a new podcast ‘Make Me A Mixtape’ alongside Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens.
The show will see the duo competing against each other to create the perfect playlist based on a specific theme.
In a press release, the BBC revealed: “In this new series, once the theme is set by the listener, or celebrity guest, Clara and Jordan will battle it out to curate the perfect mixtape.
“As Clara and Jordan push for perfection there will be killer stories, incredible celebrity drop ins, hilarious confessions, tea-spilling reveals and full throttle music passion.
“The power is then in the listeners’ hands to decide who curated the best mixtape for them.”
The longtime pals will use their own musical knowledge, tastes and experiences in “a format where human beings, not algorithms, pick the best tracks”.
The programme is being produced by Audio Always for BBC Music and BBC Sounds.
Last month, it was revealed Clara has landed her own live primetime music show on ITV, with ‘ITV Studio Sessions’ now recorded at The O2 and available to stream on ITVX, with new episodes airing each Friday night.
The series platforms some of the most talented UK musicians as well as championing new singers with Becky Hill, Cat Burns, Jess Glynne, Tom Walker, YUNGBLUD and Sekou, as they perform new music, old favourites and one-of-a-kind covers allowing audiences to enjoy the artists in a whole new light.
Back in December, Clara announced her departure from ‘Future Sounds’, and revealed she was looking forward to the next stage of her career.
She said at the time: “I’m energised and excited for my next chapter as part of the network and beyond.”
