Miley Cyrus pays tribute to Janice Freeman at memorial

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus was too overcome with emotion to sing at Janice Freeman’s memorial service.
The ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’ hitmaker – who mentored the aspiring singer on season 13 of ‘The Voice’ – paid tribute to her friend, who died from complications of lupus and a bronchial infection earlier this month, and pledged to always be her “sister” at the memorial on Monday (18.03.19).
She tearfully said: “Before we sing this song for Janice, I just want to clear up a rumor. I was never her coach, ever, she was always mine.
“I learned more from her than anyone that I’ve ever gotten the honour to be in the room with, not just vocally, I should’ve gotten more lessons than I did, but she taught me everything that I know about love.
“I had planned on singing a song for her, but just losing her is just too much for me. So my dad’s going to take care of this for me. But, I’ll always be your sister, and I’m here for you, and I’m here for your family, and Janice I’ll miss you more than I could ever say. So, my dad is going to do this for me.”
The 26-year-old singer’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus then began to sing ‘Amazing Grace’, and Miley eventually joined in with the lyrics.
She said afterwards: “Thank you for letting us be a part of your family and thank you Janice for letting me be your friend — it’s been an honour.”
Billy Ray added: “Thank you sister Janice – I learned from you, too.”
Shortly after Janice’s death at the age of 33, the ‘Malibu’ hitmaker paid an emotional tribute to her friend on Instagram.
She wrote: “I miss you so much it hurts. Everywhere … but so did you. So often. So much pain and no one would ever notice because of the smile and joy you constantly radiated. I am trying my best today to celebrate your existence but I can’t help but just deeply mourn over your absence.
“All those texts I would receive, just of you telling me that you’re praying for ME.
“How you were so selfless I’ll never understand. The way you found the good in everything. You are now a rainbow. Something beautiful that comes after something so gloomy.”

Luke Perry will be honoured by Riverdale

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Riverdale’ bosses are still working out the best way to honour Luke Perry.
The 52-year-old actor passed away earlier this month after suffering a stroke and while producers plan to address his death through his character, Fred Andrews, they haven’t yet figured out how they will do that because they are still in mourning for the star.
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “You know, honestly, we are I think all still in shock and are all still processing and grieving.
“We know that we have to address it in some way, but we’re giving ourselves a little bit of time and space before we figure out the best way to honour him.”
And the executive producer has promised that Luke’s “wise and vivacious” spirit will live on through the show, even though he knows it will never be the same without him.
He added: “Luke was, is, and will always be a big part of ‘Riverdale’.
“We’re kind of a family and when a loss like this happens, you carry it always. It changes and it hopefully becomes a little less painful as time goes by, but you’re changed.
“When I was with the crew, I said, ‘It will never be the same,’ and that’s true because Luke was such a part of the show.
“There are still a few more episodes that have Luke in them, so we’re glad to share those.
“His spirit — which was so generous and wise and vivacious — we hope will infuse every episode, so in my mind, every episode for the rest of time on ‘Riverdale’ will have a bit of Luke in it.”
Shortly after the actor passed away, Roberto announced all the remaining episodes of the current season of the CW drama would be dedicated to Luke.
He tweeted: “Going through pictures on my way to set. From the early days. With Luke in the middle. Our heart, always. Tonight’s episode of #Riverdale finds Fred doing what he does best – helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run. (sic)”

Kristin Cavallari wants ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ cameo

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristin Cavallari would have loved to make a cameo on ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’.
The 32-year-old television personality found fame starring in the original series of ‘The Hills’ but isn’t coming back for the reboot, due to her commitment to her own show ‘Very Cavallari’. However, she would jump at the chance of a return.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said: “I mean, of course! I would love to make a cameo. I can’t because of ‘Very Cavallari’. But, I mean, even just hearing the stories from [her former co-stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, who came by] now, they were kind of catching me up to speed on everything that’s going on so yeah, I would love to be a part of it in a small way.”
Kristin previously said she wouldn’t trade her experience on ‘The Hills’ for “the world”.
She said: “I wouldn’t trade my experience in for the world. It got me to where I am today … If I did watch them I would cringe! I think MTV played them a couple summers ago and my husband Jay put them on as a joke to mess with me. It was definitely cringeworthy! I know what I did! I know what happened … I was so young. I think I’ve just grown up so much – thank goodness. I really do have great memories and an overall very happy, positive experience.”
And Kristin is “really excited” to show people the real her on her reality show, ‘Very Cavallari’.
She said: “I think ‘Very Cavallari’ is the first time people will get to see the real Kristin. It’s every area of my life. So it’s me as a wife, it’s me as a best friend, and it’s me as a boss, as a business woman. So the ‘b***h’ persona – I think I’ve been able to kind of channel into being the boss and owning my own company, and then you get to just see who I am with the people that I love the most. I’m really excited for people to finally see me after so many years of being in reality TV. This is the first time that I can really get behind it saying, ‘This is 100 percent me.'”

Michael Keaton quit stand-up comedy for acting career

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Keaton quit stand-up comedy to focus on his acting ambitions.
The 67-year-old star started out telling jokes on stage in New York, and while he was enjoying writing and live performing, he eventually decided to put all his energy into pursuing his career as an actor.
Speaking on the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’, he said: “I really wanted to be an actor, but I was so in love with comedy and I was starting to write a little bit.
“I started doing stand-up in New York actually… I was starting to get more acting roles and I thought, ‘I only want to be really, really great at something’ so I threw the focus kind of into acting as opposed to stand up.”
Michael went on to star in the likes of Tim Burton’s 1988 horror comedy ‘Beetlejuice’, and played the titular superhero in both ‘Batman’ and ‘Batman Returns’, which also had the filmmaker at the helm.
He has reunited with the director for this year’s live action ‘Dumbo’ remake – in which he plays entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere – and he admitted he never turn down a role from the filmmaker.
He said: “When I personally get a call, and I bet [Danny DeVito] would say the same, you pretty much say, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna be there.’ So you just kind of show up and it’s never disappointing.”
The ‘Jack Frost’ star quipped that even if they make a bad film one day, it will still be a blast to work together.
He laughed: “Some day we are going to make a really horrifically bad movie – and it’s still going to be fun to make.”
The filmmaker has agreed with that a strong bond of more than two decades has been crucial to making great movies together, and admitted that it was “very strange” how he got on with Michael immediately the first time they met.
He explained: “But, also, I’ve seen the guy for 20 years, right.
“And all of a sudden, the next day I worked with him, it was like I’d just seen him the other day and that is a very strange feeling to have in your life when you haven’t seen someone in so long and it’s boom, like I saw him yesterday.
“It’s a very strange feeling.”

Connie Hyde ‘quitting Coronation Street’

OHMYGOSSIP — Connie Hyde is reportedly quitting ‘Coronation Street’ after two years as machinist Gina Seddon.
The soap star is said to be leaving the cobbles with her alter ego set to be fighting for her life following the factory roof collapse this week and while she won’t be killed off, the character won’t be making a “permanent” return.
A source told The Sun Online: “Connie is still very much part of the Corrie family but Gina’s time on the street has come to a natural end – for now.
“The character could return, but it won’t be as a permanent fixture and Gina won’t be living on the cobbles anymore. She is obviously the second high profile exit this year after Bhavna Limbachia as the soap tries to freshen up the Street.”
Gina – who was previously played by Julie Foy from 1988 to 1989 – has been a thorn in sister Sally Metcalfe’s (Sally Dynevor) side since he arrived back in Weatherfield in March 2017.
The report follows speculation from fans that the character could be on the way out after they thought actress Sally dropped a hit during a TV interview this week.
The cobbles legend was praising her co-star during a live chat when she changed from saying “it’s been amazing” to “it is amazing” working with Connie, prompting a flurry of tweets from ‘Corrie’ super-fans.
Sally said: “I have to say it’s been … it is amazing working with Connie Hyde, she’s gorgeous and I love her so much. We’ve been so lucky.”
Afterwards, one Twitter user wrote: “Sally just said ‘it has’ been good working with Connie then changed it to ‘it is’ hmmm!! Gina dies? #Corrie (sic)”
Another posted: “Makes me think it’s Gina who dies after listening to how Sally was talking about her (sic)”
One shared: “Looks like Gina is being killed off then #LooseWomen #corrie #coronationstreet (sic)”

Dean Gaffney splits from model girlfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Dean Gaffney has reportedly split from his girlfriend Rebekah Rose-Ward.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor – best known for his role as Robbie Jackson on the soap – is said to be single again after the 25-year-old blonde model called time on their three year relationship because she “felt like a trophy on his arm”.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Dean hit the jackpot when he got together with Rebekah but now she’s told him to take a hike.
“She got bored of his antics and felt like a trophy on his arm, not a girlfriend he treasured and wanted to marry. Dean was gutted when it happened but Rebekah had reached the end of her tether and left him.
“She feels like she is better off by herself and seeing as Dean thinks he’s some kind of stud, he’ll no doubt manage to charm someone else into being his girlfriend in no time.”
The 41-year-old soap star started dating Rebekah – who is 16 years younger than him – shortly after his breakup from childhood sweetheart Sarah Burge, with whom he has two children.
The report of the split comes after Dean claimed he gets mistaken for 39-year-old male model David Gandy, and joked that the Scottish hunk would be lucky to share a resemblance to him.
He recently said: “He wishes he looked like me… No, I’m joking.
“It’s not just the fact he’s a model, he’s a very handsome guy, he’s not a young model, as in he’s kind of distinguished and the sheer fact that people even think that we remotely look alike, I’ll take that one definitely for the team. I think it’s great.”

Megan McKenna pulls out of Loose Women

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan McKenna has pulled out of appearing on ‘Loose Women’ following Mike Thalassitis’ death.
The 26-year-old singer had been due to join the panel on the daytime talk show on Tuesday (19.03.19) to talk about her stint on ‘Celebs Go Dating’ but “couldn’t face” the idea of having to speak out because she’s so distraught after her ex-boyfriend – who she dated on and off for seven months until last August – took his own life on Friday (15.03.19).
A source told The Sun Online: “Megan just couldn’t face appearing on live TV today.
“Everyone has been really understanding and are giving her time to grieve.”
Megan’s decision came less than a day after she broke her social media silence for the first time since Mike’s passing, admitting she is still “trying to come to terms” with his death.
She wrote on Instagram: “Sorry I haven’t been on social media but I’m in complete shock and trying to come to terms with this.
“I can’t believe I’m even writing this post.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Mike’s family. Rest in peace Mike. X (sic)”
Megan’s comments come after several former ‘Love Island’ stars took to social media to pay tribute to Mike, who was 26.
Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies, who won the 2017 ‘Love Island’ series which Mike competed in, led tributes to him.
Alongside a broken heart emoji, Kem wrote: “Such heartbreaking news. My thoughts go out to all of Mikes friends and family (sic)”
In her own post, Amber added: “I am in utter shock. @MikeThalassitis you were one of the most genuine guy! I just can’t believe this! You’ll be missed so much you have no idea (sic)”
Tyla Carr, who enjoyed a short-lived romance with Mike on the ITV2 show, admitted she was “shocked” by the news.
She wrote: “I can’t believe the call I’ve just had. Mike, you were loved by all of the Love island family. You’ll be missed so much. All my love goes out to your friends and family. Shocked. (sic)”
‘Love Island’ presenter Caroline Flack also took to Instagram to describe the late star as a “total gentleman”.
She wrote: “Mike… you were a total gentleman… I won’t forget that … it’s so so sad …you will be missed. RIP (sic)”
Police have confirmed that Mike’s death is “not being treated as suspicious”.

Kanye West wants Dua Lipa collaboration

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West wants to do a duet with Dua Lipa for his highly-anticipated album ‘Yandhi’.
The ‘Famous’ rapper is reportedly planning to get the ‘Electricity’ hitmaker on his already star-studded next record, which is the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Ye’.
The pair met at one of the 41-year-old star’s legendary Sunday church services in Los Angeles, and Kanye is believed to have already penned “a few songs” that are “perfect” for the 23-year-old pop superstar.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Kanye is super impressed with Dua’s voice and he knows she’s really hot property in the industry right now.
“He met her at the church service he holds in LA every Sunday and is now keen to get her on board.
“She’s already teamed up with Calvin Harris and he saw how well that song did commercially.
“He’s got a few songs he thinks Dua would be perfect for and is really eager to get her on his next album Yandhi.”
The ‘New Rules’ singer has long been a fan of Kanye’s music, and even got caught up in his controversial feud with Taylor Swift, after she chose the ‘Stronger’ hitmaker as her favourite artist over the ‘End Game’ singer in a lighthearted quiz from 2016, which was unearthed last year.
Defending herself, Dua said: “I wasn’t thinking about their beef. I was thinking about their music, and Taylor is amazing, but I’m such a hip-hop fan that I would probably choose Kanye over anyone…
“[The fans] were sending me snake emojis for, like, three days straight. They’re like, ‘I hope you die.’ I’m like, ‘Yo! I literally didn’t say anything.’ ”
Kanye – who is married to Kim Kardashian West – and Taylor, 29, have been at loggerheads with one another since he infamously interrupted the ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker’s speech for Best Female Video for ‘You Belong with Me’ at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, declaring Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)’ more worthy of the gong.
‘Yandhi’ is yet to get a release date, however it’s expected to feature the likes of Ty Dolla Sign, 6ix9ine, Rihanna, Kid Cudi, Young Thug, Teyana Taylor, Lauryn Hill,Nicki Minaj, and posthumous vocals from XXXTentacion.
Lil Wayne, Migos and Timbaland also reportedly worked on the record with Kanye at his condo studio in Miami in January.

Ozzy Osbourne pays tribute to former guitarist

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne has paid tribute to his late former guitarist Bernie Torme.
The 66-year-old musician – who also performed with Deep Purple’s Ian Gillan’s band Gillan – sadly lost his battle with double pneumonia on Sunday (17.03.19), and Ozzy, 70, has paid his respects to his pal, who he said was a “gentle soul with a heart of gold”.
The Black Sabbath star wrote on Facebook: “‪What a sad day. We’ve lost another great musician. Bernie was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He will be dearly missed. I send my sincere condolences to his family, friends and fans. Rest in Peace Bernie.‬”
The Irish musician was placed on a ventilator earlier this year, as he battled the potentially life-threatening infection.
Fans of Bernie had setup a Pledge Music campaign to help with his medical bills.
Before he started playing with Ozzy, the guitarist formed the Bernie Torme Band in 1976, who supported the likes of Billy Idol’s Generation X and Bob Geldof’s Boomtown Rats.
He was hired by the ‘Paranoid’ hitmaker as a live session musician for his backing band Atomic Rooster in March 1982 by Jet Records, to replace Randy Rhoads – who tragically passed away in an aviation accident while on tour with Ozzy in Florida that year.
Although Bernie only ended up playing a few shows with the ‘Crazy Train’ singer, the pair remained friends and were reunited at last year’s Sweden Rock Festival.
Bernie’s death came a day after the 30th anniversary of Randy’s last show with Ozzy on March 18, 1982, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Ozzy and his wife Sharon Osbourne had sent their support to the Dublin-born musician when it was first reported that he was fighting pneumonia.
They wrote: “Dearest @Bernie_Torme, sending you positive vibes and love, and all our prayers.”

Ariana Grande will keep ‘iconic’ look for her Sweetener World Tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande will keep her “iconic” look for her ‘Sweetener World Tour’, according to her stylist Law Roach.
The 25-year-old songstress kicked off her much-anticipated tour at the Times Union Centre in Albany, New York on Monday night (18.03.19), and the ‘God Is A Woman’ hitmaker has kept her “over-the-knee boots” and “ponytail” because it’s completes her onstage persona and allows her to “own” the stage.
Speaking to the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column, Roach said: “Ariana Grande is absolutely iconic. The ponytail is iconic. The A-line skirts are iconic. The over-the-knee boots are iconic. For me, it’s a formula to play with.
“[The look is] authentic to her, she owns that space and I don’t think she should change or try to change to please anybody. She owns the ponytail. If you put that silhouette behind a screen and backlit it, everyone in the world would see that and say, ‘That’s Ariana Grande.’ And that’s powerful!”
“I can’t tell you too much about it. I can tell you that I’ve never seen Ariana this excited. She’s in a place now that she’s never been as a woman, as a human, as a musician, as an artist.”
The ‘Thank U, Next’ chart topper took to her Instagram after her opening night and posted a video of her performing her track ‘Successful’, whilst thanking her fans for for their “love” and continuous support.
She said: “mhmm my mind is all over the place and v emotional. thank u. i don’t know what i’m posting rn tbh. at all. i’ll hit u tomorrow bc…. tonight was too much. thank you thank you thank you. i love you. and i yeah. i love this song @pharrell. i love u @alfredoflores.(sic)”

Rosie O’Donnell claims her father sexually abused her

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie O’Donnell has claimed she was sexually abused by her father.
The 56-year-old actress alleges in an upcoming book ‘Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of ‘The View’ – which was penned by Variety’s New York bureau chief Ramin Setoodeh – that she was abused by her father Edward Joseph when she was a child, and says the harassment stopped when her mother Roseann passed away when Rosie was 10.
In an excerpt of the book published by Variety, Rosie told Ramin: “It started very young. And then when my mother died, it sort of ended in a weird way, because then he was with these five children to take care of. On the whole, it’s not something I like to talk about. Of course, it changes everyone. Any child who is put in that position, especially by someone in the family, you feel completely powerless and stuck, because the person you would tell is the person doing it.”
The ‘Rosie O’Donnell Show’ star’s father passed away in 2015.
And although Rosie hasn’t spoken about the alleged abuse before, she has long been an advocate for sexual abuse victims, and was one of the first public figures to come out in support of Dylan Farrow, who claims her adopted father Woody Allen sexually assaulted her at the age of seven.
In the book, Rosie adds: “I’m very anti-Roman Polanski and anti-Woody Allen. It’s a pretty clear line for me.”
‘Ladies Who Punch’ will be published by St. Martin’s Press on April 2.

Kylie Jenner: Stormi chose her own name

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner says her daughter “chose her own name”.
The 21-year-old reality star gave birth to her daughter Stormi – whom she has with her boyfriend Travis Scott – 13 months ago, and has now said the unique moniker “felt right”, as although there were other names she preferred, she believes her tot gravitated toward Stormi.
She said: “I felt it the whole time. Yeah, I feel like she chose her own name. Pretty much, I wanted – I looked up names, and I saw Storm, and I really liked that. But I wanted her to have an ‘ie’ at the end of her name like me, Kylie and Stormie. So it was that at first, and I would just call her – when I was pregnant, I used to call her Stormi when I would talk to her in my belly. And it just always felt right. I had one more name that I liked – I had two names that I honestly liked better than Stormi but when I had her, I felt like she chose her own name. And I just couldn’t imagine any other name other than Stormi, so yeah.”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star had several names lined up for her tot, but won’t share them because they’re still up for consideration if she ever has another baby.
One name she will share, however, is the name Rose, which she says she “really liked” but can’t see herself bestowing the moniker on any future kids.
She added: “One name I will tell you guys, because I don’t think I’m ever going to name my daughter this [another daughter], but I wanted to name her Rose. I really liked that name. Shout out to everyone named Rose.”
And the lip kit mogul says one of the mystery names was “very weird”.
Speaking during an Instagram Live, she added: “It was a very weird name …but I love it. It just didn’t work for her.”

Jessica Chastain wants more ‘opportunities for everyone’ in Hollywood

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Chastain is focused on “creating opportunities for everyone” in Hollywood.
The ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ star has championed the fight for equality for women in Hollywood for several years, and has said that although she thinks more people are getting on board with the idea now simply because it’s “in fashion”, she doesn’t mind as long as it creates positive change.
She said: “I have noticed, of course, now that it’s in fashion there are other people that are jumping on board, and honestly, I don’t care what their motives are. Because at the end of the day, the more we focus on creating opportunities for everyone – I don’t care if some people are doing it because it’s the fashionable thing to do. It’s also the right thing to do.”
Last year, Octavia Spencer revealed Jessica, 41, was instrumental in making sure she received equal pay in an upcoming film project they are working on together.
And now, the ‘Help’ actress says another film she’s working on with Octavia called ‘355’ – which also stars Lupita Nyong’o and Penélope Cruz – will follow the same ideals of equal pay.
Jessica added: “Everything I’m producing, the movie I’m doing with Octavia, ‘355,’ – which actually the cast is more diverse than not when you think of the five women – we all have equal pay. Just doing things where you balance the scales makes a huge difference, and that’s what I’m going to continue to do.”
The actress isn’t just focused on gender equality either, as she’s also fighting to create more roles where “race isn’t a factor”.
Speaking to Variety magazine, she said: “I’m also going to continue to tell stories where race isn’t necessarily a factor. The more we have these conversations, the more that we’re going to accurately be able to portray all the people of our world. We’re not just one demographic living this world. We need to be inclusive of everyone.”

Alicia Keys to release new book

OHMYGOSSIP — Alicia Keys is set to release a new memoir.
The ‘Girl on Fire’ singer will publish her book, titled ‘More Myself’, through Oprah Winfrey’s book imprint An Oprah Book in November this year, and has described the upcoming title as “part autobiography, and part narrative documentary.”
In a statement, the 38-year-old star said of the book: “I couldn’t be more ecstatic to share this part of my journey so far and all the ways I am continuously learning to honour my truth. Alongside my sister, mentor, and friend Oprah, this book is one of the most exciting chapters yet.”
Oprah, meanwhile, is equally thrilled about the upcoming tome, and says she’s “honoured” that Alicia reached out to her to get the book published.
She said in a press release: “I could feel the power of Alicia’s presence even before she belted out the first soulful notes of the lyrics that made her famous – ‘I keep on fallin’ in and out of love with you.’ I knew she had all those sparkling qualities that make stars shine. More important, Alicia has navigated the spotlight and pressures of fame while retaining a humble and beautiful spirit. I am honoured she chose to share her personal story through my imprint.”
‘More Myself’ will explore Alicia’s journey to stardom in her own words, as well as including recollections from the most important people in her life, such as her husband Swizz Beatz and their two sons, eight-year-old Egypt and four-year-old Genesis.
The book will be released on November 5 2019.

Jessica Alba didn’t think she was ‘smart’ before business venture

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Alba didn’t think she was “smart” before starting her own company.
The 37-year-old actress launched The Honest Company – a consumer goods company that emphasises ethical household products – back in 2011, and has said she’s only just begun labelling herself as “smart”, because she used to believe that not having a “conventional” education made her less intelligent.
She said: “When I was younger, I thought I wasn’t smart. I didn’t have a conventional or higher education. Now, after starting a business, I feel OK with identifying myself as smart.”
Jessica even felt “inferior” as an actress as she didn’t attend theatre school, but says she now has more “confidence” in herself, which she says has helped her become “successful in life”.
Speaking to Health magazine, she added: “I even felt inferior saying I was an actress without being classically trained. It took me a while to find my confidence.
“I may not be the best actress ever, but do I have my moments? Definitely. And don’t underestimate street smarts – all of that hustle and life experiences. You have to roll with the punches – that’s how you’re going to be successful in life.”
And despite now finding success with her business, the ‘Dark Angel’ star recently revealed she won’t be spoiling her children – Honor, 10, and Haven, seven, and Hayes, 14 months, whom she has with her husband Cash Warren – with her wealth, as she wants them to understand their privileged lifestyles.
She said: “If my kids complain when Cash and I go to work, I say, ‘Do you like your life? Because it’s not free. Your dad and I work hard so you can have everything you have. That’s why you take care of your stuff. And guess what? If you don’t work hard, your life won’t always be like this. You’ve got to figure out what you want to do. Go to school, do well, treat others well.’
“I’m hardcore about that.”

Julianne Moore: Marriage is important

OHMYGOSSIP — Julianne Moore says marriage is “important”.
The 58-year-old actress has been married to filmmaker Bart Freundlich – with whom she has Caleb, 21, and Liv, 16 – for almost 16 years, and has said she believes “legal marriage” is important for all couples, because it’s a way of making a “container” for a family.
She said: “[Marriage is] a container for a family and that’s why legal marriage is important – that everyone be allowed to be married, every couple, because it’s a way of saying to the world, ‘I’m legally committed to this person and I’m going to make this container for the two of us, and then our children, and our life together.'”
And the ‘Gloria Bell’ star says that whilst her own “container” isn’t perfect, it’s “pretty good”, and says both she and her husband are “happy”.
She added: “Our container is pretty good. It’s not airtight but it’s pretty good, especially now having one child [Caleb] who is 21, who is almost finished with college and then another [Liv] who will go to college in two years, you think, ‘Wow we did it!’ We are intact and we are happy.”
Julianne also believes true love doesn’t “just happen”, and says the bond needs to be worked on just like achieving a dream career.
The ‘Still Alice’ actress told People magazine: “We have this narrative in our culture that if you want a career, you have to work hard, go to school, look for a job, you have to apply yourself but love is supposed to just happen to you. One day you’re going to meet someone and get hit over the head and boom! That happens in romantic comedies but in real life you have to make time. When you find a person, you have to invest in them and that relationship. And that’s what love is.”
