Sara Gilbert quits The Talk after nine seasons

OHMYGOSSIP — Sara Gilbert has quit ‘The Talk’ to find some “balance” in her life.
The 44-year-old star – who co-created the daytime talk show in 2010 and has continued to serve as both host and executive producer – has announced she will be stepping down after “going back and forth” over the decision for a while before ultimately deciding it is time to leave.
Speaking on the show on Tuesday (09.04.19), she said: “This is something I have been struggling with for a while, and going back and forth, but I’ve decided it’s time for me to leave the show.
“I obviously love it here, and like I said, this was extremely difficult… Last season, I did ‘The Conners’ as you know and was also producing and here.
“I loved it and felt totally empowered, but also, if I’m being honest about it, I think my life was slightly out of balance. I wasn’t able to spend as much time with my three kids as I’d like, or time for myself and as I’ve continued on, I’m starting to develop more things to produce and I’m having opportunities to act and feeling like I don’t know how I’m gonna do it all.”
Sara – who has son Levi, 14, and daughter Sawyer Jane, 11, with her ex Allison Adler and son Rhodes, four, with 4 Non Blondes star Linda Perry – added that she still loves the team and the show as a whole, and confirmed she would be continuing to appear on air until the end of the current season.
She said: “This is a place that I love and a place that I’m extremely happy. I love the hosts, I love the crew, I love our staff, I’m so grateful to the audience for letting me in your homes every day. It’s been such an honour.”

Grease prequel in the works

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Grease’ is getting a prequel – 41 years after the original movie was released.
The story of how lovers Danny Zuko (John Travolta) and Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) met before they reunite at the Rydell High School in the 1978 classic rom-com is being developed for the big screen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is called ‘Summer Loving’ and is being headed up by Paramount Players, a division of Paramount, with ‘Charlie’s Angels’ and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ scribe John August penning the script.
Temple Hill – who worked on rom-com ‘Love, Simon’ as well as ‘First Man’ and the ‘Maze Runner’ films – are producing along with Lionsgate producer Erik Feig’s company Picturestart.
It’s not known if the movie will be a musical like the original and whether any of the original cast will be involved.
However, the plot will shed light on Danny and Sandy’s fling, which they both have varying stories of in the song ‘Summer Nights’ performed in the movie.
A line from the famous duet goes: “He got friendly holding my hand/She got friendly down in the sand/He was sweet just turned eighteen/Well she was good you know what I mean/Summer heat boy and girl meet but oh oh the summer nights.”
The iconic film, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, has remained a huge part of popular culture with Sandy’s girl squad The Pink Ladies’ jackets and John’s signature quiff still a popular choice for fancy dress.
A sequel was made in 1982 starring Michelle Pfeiffer in the lead role, but both Olivia and John turned it down and were less than impressed by the film.
Asked what she thought of ‘Grease 2’, Olivia previously admitted: “Not a lot.
“They did ask us, I think they approached John and I to do it, and then it didn’t happen, and I didn’t think it was gonna happen, and then they made it with other people.”
There was even a TV special ‘Grease Live!’ – which saw Julianne Hough in her role of Sandy and Aaron Tveit as Danny – and Olivia had more positive things to say.
She said: “I liked it. Yeah, it was fun.”

AJ McLean’s daughter doesn’t want him to tour

OHMYGOSSIP — AJ McLean’s daughter wants him to “stop being a Backstreet Boy and just be [her] dad.”
The 41-year-old singer is headed on tour with the ‘I Want It That Way’ hitmakers for their ‘DNA World Tour’ this summer, but has admitted his daughter Ava, six, whom he was with his wife Rochelle, isn’t too happy about the upcoming venture.
AJ said: “My oldest actually, about five days ago, had mommy send daddy a text saying, ‘Can you stop being a Backstreet Boy and just be my dad?'”
Pointing to his chest, he then added: “Yeah, so, take this out, step on it, stab it, burn it and then do it again.”
But at least AJ – who also has two-year-old Lyric with Rochelle – won’t be alone when it comes to leaving his kids behind when he goes on tour, as all four of his band mates – Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and Nick Carter – have children and are able to offer each other advice and support.
The ‘Everybody’ singer told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “They’ve all been through it. Some of them haven’t gotten through it yet. They all have boys. Boys, I think, are maybe not as emotional.
“Plus, Mommy gets to be home to try to explain to my girls, ‘Be thankful Mommy and Daddy are both not working. Mommy gets to be there but Daddy always, always comes home.'”
Meanwhile, AJ recently said he was learning to put himself first following his battle with addictions which have seen him enter rehab several times, including a relapse as recently as 2018.
He said: “[Addiction] has made me have to look inward, which I think is what a lot of people who haven’t fully matured are lacking. That’s something I’ve struggled with for years. I put my family first, then I put my job, then somewhere down the line is me.
“I’m slowing learning, at 41, that it’s okay to put me before all of it because if I’m not happy and healthy, how could I be the father and husband that I truly know I am and want to become even better at? If I’m not happy or healthy, all the other stuff is eventually going to go bye-bye.”

Hilaria Baldwin wants more ‘support’ for miscarriage sufferers

OHMYGOSSIP — Hilaria Baldwin hopes to help women “find support” after revealing she might be going through a miscarriage.
The health and wellness expert told her Instagram followers last week that she was expecting her fifth child with husband Alec Baldwin – with whom she already has Carmen, five, Rafael, three, Leonardo, two, and Romeo, 10 months – but accompanied the announcement with the tragic news that she believes she is miscarrying their tot.
And now, Hilaria has said her decision to speak up throughout the process came as she wants to provide support for other women who are going through or have been through miscarriage, as she says too many women go through the grieving process in silence.
She said: “With pregnancy, you’re trained not to say anything about it for 12 weeks – the first trimester – when the risk of miscarriage is the highest. There’s superstition, but there’s also the fear that you might do something wrong and lose the baby. And that if you lose the baby, people are going to blame you, for eating the wrong way, for sleeping on the wrong side, for exercising too much or too little … the list goes on.
“Even before I got pregnant, I thought about what it would be like to have to share news like this. Having a miscarriage would hurt if I went through it in silence and it would hurt if I lost the pregnancy in front of everybody, I realised. At least sharing my story might help me and other women dealing with a miscarriage to find support.”
Hilaria, 35, admitted she has worried about miscarrying with each of her previous four pregnancies, and felt that she shouldn’t stay quiet because she and other women like her need to do “whatever they need to heal”.
She added in an essay for Glamour magazine: “Pregnancy loss is a topic that touches almost everyone – 10 to 25 percent of all known pregnancies end in miscarriage. I’m not surprised at how common they are. Almost every single one of my friends has experienced some kind of struggle with infertility or miscarriage. I had such a fear of miscarriage with each of my pregnancies that I’d google the probability of miscarriage each day. And yet we’re still so quiet about it. For me, this doesn’t make sense. I understand why some women choose to keep this pain private, but it’s such a personal thing – some people need to process the loss on their own, and others need to process it more publicly. Women deserve to have the option to do whatever they need to heal. (sic)”
The beauty made her miscarriage concerns public last week when she posted a picture of her small baby bump, and said the chances of her having a fifth child this time around are “very very small”.

Sophie Turner didn’t trust Game of Thrones after Ned Stark’s death

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner began to “distrust” the ‘Game of Thrones’ producers when they first killed off a major character.
The 23-year-old actress stars as Sansa Stark in the HBO fantasy drama, and has said she began to realise her role wasn’t safe from being killed off when the programme saw her on-screen father Ned Stark – played by Sean Bean – get beheaded in the first season.
Sophie said: “[That was] the most shocking scene that I didn’t see coming. From then on, I started to distrust the show as to, like, whether they’d kill my favourite character or not.”
The popular show is set to come to an end this month when it airs its eighth and final season, and Sophie – who was a teenager when she accepted the role as Sansa – says it will be “really hard” to let it go.
In a new behind-the-scenes video posted to the ‘Game of Thrones’ YouTube channel, she added: “I’ve been thinking about it for a few years. This has been, not only a family to me, but I’ve grown up with these people. I’ve changed so much as a person because of these people. We’re all a part of each other now, so it’s going to be really hard.”
Sophie’s comments echo those made by her fellow co-stars, as Emilia Clarke – who plays Daenerys Targaryen – recently said she’s going to find it tricky to let go of the beloved Mother of Dragons because the role is “like another limb” to her.
She said: I mean, as an actor, as a schmaltzy actor, I believe that every character that you play, they kind of stay in you a little bit, you keep them with you. But yeah, Khaleesi it’s like another limb. She’s just so much a part of who I am.”

Jennifer Lopez hasn’t started wedding planning

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez hasn’t started planning her wedding yet.
The 49-year-old singer and actress got engaged to retired baseball star Alex Rodriguez during a romantic trip to the Bahamas earlier this year, and although they’re keen to tie the knot, they haven’t begun planning their special day yet as they’re both far too busy with work.
Jennifer said: “We haven’t started planning yet, you know, we just got engaged, and then right afterwards we started working right away and we’re working the rest of the year so I don’t know, I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
The ‘Hustlers’ actress admitted she and Alex, 43, don’t even have a date in mind yet, but said there’s a chance they could “squeeze it in” sometime soon.
Speaking to KTU radio show ‘Cubby and Carolina In The Morning’, she added: “We haven’t decided if we’re going to squeeze it in somewhere or if we’re going to wait so you know … I really don’t know yet … I’m not lying right now.”
Meanwhile, Jennifer recently said she was “wary” of the idea of marrying Alex at first, after having already gone through three divorces from former husbands Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, and Marc Anthony.
The ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker – who has 11-year-old twins Max and Emme with Marc – said: “I was very wary after everything I’ve been through. I was just sussing it out until then. I was like, ‘I don’t know, maybe yes, maybe no, I really love [Alex], I like him.’ Everything seemed almost too perfect too soon, so I was like, ‘Wait, what’s happening?'”
But Jennifer admitted that when the time came, she “knew” marrying Alex – who has two daughters, Natasha, 14, and 10-year-old Ella, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis – was the right choice.
She added: “When it happened, I think it was the right time – we knew. It’s great to have a best friend and a partner you can really build with, and I just feel like, with Alex and I, that’s what it’s like. We’re very similar … it’s one of those things, you meet a like-minded person who is trying to be the best person they can be and always trying to grow, and then they help you grow and you help them grow. I’m better here, he’s better there and we’re better together.”

Dua Lipa: Katy Perry told me not to Google myself

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa was warned by Katy Perry not to “search [her] name” online.
The 23-year-old singer has said that when she first started making a name for herself, she was approached by the ‘Bon Appetite’ hitmaker and advised not to look at search results of herself online, because she would end up getting “upset” by any criticism she saw.
Dua said: “When I met Katy Perry, she was like, ‘I hope you don’t search your name. She was like, ‘That’s what I did at the beginning of my career, and I’d get upset about every tabloid that said something about me.’ She said, ‘Do not have notifications on. Do not read that s**t, because it will stop you from doing what you love.'”
And Katy isn’t the only star to have given the ‘New Rules’ hitmaker some advice, as she was also told to “be kind” to herself by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
She added: “Chris Martin also said to me, ‘Be kind to yourself.’ I thought it was so weird that he would say that – what does that even mean?”
Although she didn’t understand his words at first, she now realises they go hand-in-hand with Katy’s wisdom.
Speaking to ELLE magazine, she said: “Reading [comments from internet trolls] is a form of self-abuse. It’s this vicious cycle where you don’t want to read it, but you go looking for it, then you get yourself upset.
“I can’t let the opinions of others define what I feel about myself. That’s something I’m constantly telling my fans as well. Platform or no platform, musician or not, everyone’s getting bullied because everyone’s got this screen and they feel like no one can see them.”

Kit Harington: The Game of Thrones finale will be sensational

OHMYGOSSIP — Kit Harington says the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ will be “sensational”.
The 32-year-old actor stars as Jon Snow in the HBO fantasy drama which will begin airing its eighth and final season in just a few days time, and he’s said he’s so “proud” of the production that’s been put together, he believes it will “change the way” audiences “look at TV” forever.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Live With Kelly and Ryan’ on Tuesday (09.04.19), he said: “It was exhausting. It was nine months … usually we film over six months for 10 episodes, and we filmed over nine months for six episodes. But these six episodes I think are going to change the way you look at TV. They’re going to be sensational, they’re huge. We did everything … the one thing I feel right now is that we put everything we could into this. So we’re just proud of it now.”
Meanwhile, Kit recently said the ending to the show will “divide opinion”.
He said: “I think it will be strong. But you don’t want to mess it up on the very last outing.
“I haven’t watched a single series that has a following like Thrones does where everyone is satisfied with the ending. I don’t think that it’ll be any different with this. I think it will divide opinion.”
And the actor also previously claimed he doesn’t think anyone will be satisfied when the show comes to an end, because no-one wants to see it off air.
He said: “It’s like when you finish a book, you’re not happy it’s over are you? You don’t finish a good book and say, ‘I’m happy I finished that.’ But you have this grief that it’s over, and it’s exactly same with nine years doing this show. No matter how it ended, or how it does end, there’s always this bit of you that’s like, ‘oh’; there’s this loss around it.”

Scarlett Johansson slams paparazzi as ‘criminal stalkers’

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Johansson has slammed paparazzi as “criminal stalkers”, afters he was hounded in Los Angeles.
The 34-year-old actress hit out at paparazzi on Tuesday (09.04.19) after her car – which she was not driving – was followed by “five cars full of men” after a taping of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ the day before.
Scarlett when to the LAPD after the incident – which she described as “dangerous” – but no action was taken after the actress made it home safely, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
In a statement, the ‘Avengers: Endgame’ star slammed the photographers for risking lives in order to stalk her and her family – including five-year-old daughter Rose – and hit out at the government for continuing to allow paparazzi to “legally” follow her.
She said: “[I was followed by] five cars full of men with blacked-out windows who were running red lights and putting other drivers and pedestrians at risk so they could follow me to find out where I was staying and subsequently stalk me and my young daughter for the duration of my stay … All of this is perfectly legal.
“I felt it was my duty as a concerned citizen who was being pursued dangerously and stalked to go to the local precinct and seek guidance there.”
Scarlett went on to say that paparazzi are not different to other “stalkers” who pursue “women across the US”, and even claimed their actions would lead to more deaths such as the late Princess Diana, who died in a car crash in a Paris tunnel in 1997.
In her statement, the beauty added: “Women across the US are stalked, harassed and frightened and a universal law to address stalking must be at the forefront of law enforcement conversations. Until paparazzi are considered by the law for the criminal stalkers they are, it’s just a waiting game before another person gets seriously injured or killed, like Princess Diana.”

Dani Dyer’s social media ‘worries’ for sister Sunnie

OHMYGOSSIP — Dani Dyer finds it “scary” her 11-year-old sister Sunnie thinks she is “overweight”.
The ‘Love Island’ winner – who is the daughter of actor Danny Dyer – has been left worried after seeing pictures of her younger sibling with her face scribbled out, and thinks social media pressures make things “so much worse”.
Writing in her book ‘What Would Dani Do?’, she said: “Now with social media, it’s all so much worse for people.
“I worry about my sister Sunnie – she’s only 11 and already thinks she’s overweight.
“I have to keep an eye on her to make sure she’s looking after herself because sometimes she will show me a picture from Instagram and she’s scribbled her face out because she doesn’t think she looks very nice. She’s beautiful.”
Dani also claimed people’s pictures on the photo-sharing site are “all fake”.
She added: “So don’t ever compare yourself and don’t spend too long on there either.
“Your real life is much more important than this pretend world where everyone looks like they have no facial features because they have Facetuned themselves so much.”
Dani – who also has five-year-old brother Artie – has been “upset” by online haters who have told her she looks “pregnant” and “bloated” in the past because “they were such nasty things to say”.
The TV star won last year’s ‘Love Island’, with then-boyfriend Jack Fincham, but they recently split.
In a statement on Instagram, Jack wrote: “There is no easy way to say this and it isn’t going to be an easy time but me and Dani are not in a relationship anymore.
“We will always care a lot for each other and have love for each other and I mean that from the bottom of my heart and I wish her nothing but happiness.
“We have some amazing memories together and have been through a lot but sometimes things aren’t meant to be and we really did try to make it work but it unfortunately didn’t and that is life.”

Michelle Pfeiffer ‘stopped wearing fragrance’

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Pfeiffer “stopped wearing fragrance” for 10 years.
The 60-year-old actress was inspired to create her own Henry Rose scent line after discovering all the perfumes she was wearing were “incredibly toxic” but missed using the products when she gave them up for the sake of her health.
She said: “I started vetting my products on this website and they would seem fine, and then ultimately I would get to fragrance and it would have a really high hazard – over and over and over again.
“I took that to mean that fragrance must be incredibly toxic. I started to look for fragrance-free products and, again, there was not a lot at that time. Things have shifted, but it was slim pickings then.
“Ultimately I stopped wearing fragrance for about 10 years. Nine years ago, I decided that I was going to try to develop my own, because I missed wearing fragrance. I approached a lot of big cosmetic companies, but they were really dead ends. It was just not going anywhere, so I forgot about it.”
Michelle has created the first fine fragrance to receive the distinction of Environmental Working Group Verified and Cradle to Cradle Certified at the gold level, with a Material Health score of platinum, and list 100 per cent of the ingredients found in her collection.
And the ‘Dangerous Minds’ star – who has children Claudia, 26, and John, 24, with husband David E. Kelley – revealed she is hoping to branch out into other sectors of the beauty industry.
She told W magazine: “I don’t think we will be strictly fragrance, ultimately. We’ve been so honestly consumed with getting this launched. I didn’t have a company last June.
“I didn’t have a company until Malina, my CEO, came on board. I had a fragrance, and I had a few meetings with agencies, but we didn’t have a bottle design, we didn’t have a company name. I didn’t have a company. Now, it’s pretty much the two of use, and it’s a lot of heavy lifting. We’re starting to think about that, but we don’t want to develop new products just to develop new products.”

The star – who has Alaia-Mai, six, and Valentina, two, with husband Marvin Humes – explained how she wants her girls to grow up without worrying too much about their weight, and she has even scolded her own mother for breaking the important rule.
She told The Mirror: “She was like, ‘Oh I need to go on a diet before your birthday’. That’s fine to say to me, but I don’t like that around my girls.
“I’ll be like, ‘Right, we need to eat this because we need to look after our teeth.’ ”
Meanwhile, Rochelle’s husband Marvin previously insisted the couple have no more plans to add to their brood, and he revealed they are “done” having children.
He said:”I always say never say never but I’m pretty sure that we’re done [having kids] now. We’re very lucky, do you know what I mean?
“We’re lucky to have such a great family. I was never that dad that was desperate to have a boy, I love having two girls, and we’re very happy.”
And the 34-year-old singer and DJ feels “extremely lucky” to have Rochelle, 28, in his life.
He recently added: “Regardless of what position you’re in we are extremely lucky. I think I’ve got my parents to thank from my side because they’re still together and they’ve been my role models in life, my dad’s taught me a lot. “Ultimately she’s my best friend, we love each other very much and we’re lucky enough to have each other. We’ve been together for nine years now, it feels like nine months but so much has happened and we’ve been through some incredible moments. We’re very grateful and know how lucky we are.”

Cardi B had no ‘other choices’ when she decided to become a stripper

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B says she had no “other choices” when she decided to become a stripper.
The ‘Please Me’ singer – who recently admitted she’s “not proud” of the things she did to “survive” when she was an exotic dancer – insisted she shouldn’t be judged for her past.
Speaking at Beautycon, she said: “Don’t let people judge you,” she said. “A lot of people said, ‘You don’t have to strip. You have other choices.’
“No the f**k I didn’t. [Would I change anything? The f**k no.”
Her comments come after Jennifer Lopez revealed she asked Cardi to be in upcoming drama ‘Hustlers’ – which follows a group of strippers who rob their wealthy Wall Street clients – because she already knew so much about the “world” of strippers.
She recently said: “I called her and asked her if she wanted to do the movie.
“She knew so much about this world already that hit home for her… There is no shame in what your path is to get to where you want to be.”
“We think we know what everyone else’s life feels like, but we don’t.”
The ‘Second Act’ star revealed the offer she made after a video resurfaced of her confessing she “drugged and robbed” men who wanted to sleep with her.
In a lengthy statement posted to Instagram, she wrote: “I’m seeing on social media that a live I did 3 years ago has popped back up. A live where I talked about things I had to do in my past right or wrong that I felt I needed to do to make a better living.
“I never claim to be a perfect or come from a perfect world wit a perfect past I always speak my truth I always own my s**t.
“I’m a part of a hip-hop culture where you can talk about where you come from, talk about the wrong things you had to do to get where you are.”

Kit Harington played ‘first-world’ prank on Rosie Leslie

OHMYGOSSIP — Kit Harington played “the most first-world” prank on Rose Leslie.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ star admitted he played a practical joke on his wife Rose – who has also appeared in the HBO fantasy epic – for April Fool’s Day (01.04.19), but he admitted the stunt backfired in a costly way.
Appearing on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’, he said: “I’m aware this is the most first-world April Fools. She has a favourite almond milk, and I wrote an article that this company who made her favorite almond milk was going under thanks to Brexit.
“So she went to my PA and ordered this almond milk in bulk, on my credit card.”
Now that filming for ‘Game of Thrones’ has wrapped, Kit – who will return as Jon Snow for the eighth and final season of the show – has finally shaved off his facial hair for the first time in years.
He added: “[‘Saturday Night Live’ was] the first reason I’ve had to shave in a long time, and I feel like a tired child.”
The loved up couple met on the set of the show when Rose was part of the cast as Ygritte, and they have enjoyed the special connection they have to the programme.
Kit recently said: “I said to Rose the other night, I was like, ‘We’ve been tethered by this show, a long time we’ve loved it.’ And now we get to enjoy the final hurrah.”
While the final episodes of the show haven’t yet aired, he already feels like it’s in the past because he and his castmates said “goodbye” to that chapter in their lives once filming ended.
He admitted: “It, in some ways, has ended for us. When we finished filming, we said goodbye to it, so this sort of feels like an added bonus that we get to watch it and celebrate it now.”

Channing Tatum was intimidated by cast of Magic Mike musical

OHMYGOSSIP — Channing Tatum felt “really intimidated” meeting the cast of ‘Magic Mike: The Musical’.
The 38-year-old actor – who starred as the titular male stripper in the 2012 comedy drama and its 2015 seqel ‘Magic Mike XXL’ – dropped by rehearsals for the upcoming Broadway adaptation, and he admitted he was nervous to meet the performers.
In a video he shared on YouTube, Channing said: “It’s not that I don’t want to go, I’m just really intimidated by them.
“Look, they’re so good. They’re like, literally the best at what they do and I know nothing about musicals!”
Following the success of the two films – which are loosely based on the Hollywood star’s own experiences of working as a stripper in Tampa, Florida – Channing created and co-directed ‘Magic Mike Live’, a striptease experience featuring dance routines and acrobatic stunts which has been hugely popular since opening at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas in 2017, and is currently on at London’s Hippodrome Casino until October.
The upcoming musical – which will be based on the book being written by ‘Riverdale’ showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa – will have a slightly different story to it than the live shows.
Meanwhile, Channing previously admitted he didn’t feel body confident enough to perform as a stripper in the ‘Magic Mike Live’ stage show.
The actor felt insecure next to the ripped dancers in his show and admitted he would have to train very hard before even considering appearing shirtless on stage.
The ‘Dear John’ star admitted: “I love dancing and I love these guys and performing. But when you stand up there with your shirt off next to them with the way they look … I don’t work out on an everyday basis. I know everyone thinks I do but I do not. If I ever get in that shape again I will absolutely be in the show for a weekend or something.”

Daisy Goodwin disappointed about Victoria scheduling

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Goodwin is disappointed with ITV for using ‘Victoria’ as a “line of sandbags” against the BBC’s ‘Line of Duty’.
The 57-year-old screenwriter is unhappy that the network didn’t air her show before viewers in America were able to watch it in January, and claims the drama was used to rival the hit BBC series.
Writing in the Radio Times magazine, she said: “These Machiavellian types don’t care about the patriotic right of British Victoria fans to see their heroine first.
“It’s a dark art, scheduling, and it can be very demoralising for people who have dedicated themselves to making something special to realise that, for the scheduler, your carefully honed drama is nothing more than a line of sandbags against ‘Bodyguard 2’ or, in Victoria’s case, ‘Line of Duty’.”
Daisy thinks a number of UK fans may have already watched ‘Victoria’ “in ways that are possibly illegal but easy to master”.
The show – which covers the early life of Queen Victoria – first aired in 2016 and stars Jenna Coleman as a young Queen Victoria and Tom Hughes as Prince Albert.
And Daisy is hoping next year’s series will be moved in line with the US broadcast.
She said: “The next series of ‘Victoria’ will be the darkest yet.
“I hope that the gods of scheduling look favourably upon it and decide to put it out simultaneously with the US broadcast.”
