Grimes to kill off stage name

OHMYGOSSIP — Grimes is going to execute her stage name.
The 31-year-old musician – whose real name is Claire Boucher – has admitted she has felt “bound by the limits” of her pop star pseudonym and is planning a “public execution” of Grimes, which she has been known as for the past decade, “soon”.
Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, she said: “I think I’ll kill ‘Grimes’ soon.
“It will be a public execution followed by … by something else.
“I shouldn’t say yet … I’m super bound by the limits I’ve set for myself [as Grimes].
“It would be easier for me if I wasn’t stuck with the branding I made in 2009, you know?”
The Canadian star’s stage name execution announcement comes after she revealed her new album, ‘Miss_Anthropocene’, is set to tackle climate change and Artificial Intelligence (AI), with “human extinction depicted through a pop star demonology”.
In a lengthy note to fans on Instagram, she explained: “Each song will be a different embodiment of human extinction as depicted through a Pop star Demonology.”
The lead single ‘We Appreciate Power’ was released last year and is a taste of what is to come.
She continued: “The first song ‘we appreciate power’, introduced the pro-AI-propaganda girl group who embody our potential enslavement/destruction at the hands of Artificial General intelligence. (sic)”
The ‘Genesis’ singer – who appeared on Bring Me The Horizon’s song ‘nihilist blues’ earlier this year – plans to turn climate change into a “good villain” character, like Queen Beryl from manga series ‘Sailor Moon’ and The Joker from ‘Batman’, so that it’s “easier to look at” and not seen as just an “abstract doom”.
She added: “Climate change is something I’m only ever confronted with in a sad/ guilty way ….
“Reading news and what not … so my goal is to make climate change fun (lol..??)…. uhhh… (I mean, everybody loves a good villain … re: the joker, Queen Beryl).. so maybe it’ll be a bit easier to look at if it can exist as a character and not just abstract doom. (sic)”
In 2014, Grimes revealed that her name was inspire by the UK sub-genre of hip-hop, Grime, which she stumbled upon on MySpace.
Grimes’ fifth album will follow 2015’s ‘Art Angels’.

Zachary Levi wants floss dance in Shazam! to ‘die a horrible death’

OHMYGOSSIP — Zachary Levi wants the floss dance to “die a horrible death” after he had to do it in the ‘Shazam!’ movie.
The 38-year-old actor is seen doing the dance move phenomenon in his role as the titular superhero in the latest DC Extended Universe film, however, he is not pleased that he will forever be seen doing the floss on screen and insists the “only flossing we need to do is between the teeth”.
Making a joke about the stereotypical perception that British people have bad teeth during a Q&A and screening of the movie at the BFI Southbank in London, Zachary said with a smile: “I don’t like the floss I think that dance needs to die a horrible death. The only flossing we need to be doing from now on is between the teeth guys and you really do need to do that. I’m serious, this is England you know what I’m talking about!”
The ‘Chuck’ star went on to insist that his role as Billy Batson – who is actually a teenager who is made the ‘Champion of Eternity’ after being bestowed his powers by an ancient wizard and can become a super-powered adult by saying Shazam – was “beyond surreal” and fulfilled a childhood “dream” of becoming a superhero.
When asked what it was like putting on Shazam’s striking superhero suit, he said: “Beyond surreal man. It was just like a dream. Ever since I was a little kid I dreamt of being a superhero. I think all of us can relate to that – at some point in our lives, we believe that we can fly we believe that the floor is lava and a lot of us, unfortunately, we lose that. You know life happens and responsibilities and then all of a sudden the little kid in me who always wanted to be a superhero got to be a superhero.”
Zachary stars in ‘Shazam!’ alongside Mark Strong as supervillain Dr. Thaddeus Sivana, Djimon Hounsou as The Wizard Shazam and Asher Angel, who plays the teenage Billy.
The movie opens worldwide on April 5.

Richard E Grant says Julianne Moore was fired from film over fat suit

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard E. Grant has claimed that Julianne Moore was fired from ‘Can You Forgive Me?’ over a fat suit.
The 58-year-old actress was originally cast in the lead role of Lee Israel but the character ended up being portrayed by Melissa McCarthy in the Oscar-nominated movie and Richard – who portrays Lee’s friend Jack – says Julianne was let go as she wanted to wear a fat suit and false nose to get into character, however, the film’s writer Nicole Holofcener wouldn’t allow it.
Speaking at an Advertising Week Europe event in London, the 61-year-old actor said: “Julianne Moore wanted to wear a fat suit and a false nose to play Lee Israel and Nicole Holofcener said, ‘You’re not going to do that.'”
Julianne, 58, recently addressed her exit from the movie, claiming that Nicole “didn’t like what she was doing” in the part and had different ideas about how to play the character “so she fired me”.
Speaking on ‘Look What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’, she said: “I didn’t leave that movie, I was fired. I think she [Nicole] didn’t like what I was doing. We just been rehearsing and doing pre-production and stuff and her idea of where the character was different than where my idea of where the character was, so she fired me.”
The ‘Hannibal’ actress explained that although she hasn’t seen the film yet as it’s too “painful” she “worships” Melissa, 48, and is “sure she’s great” in the movie.
She said: “I haven’t [seen it] because it’s still kind of painful. I love Melissa McCarthy. I worship her. I think she’s fantastic, so I’m sure she’s great. It’s pretty bad. The only other time I was fired was when I was working at a yogurt stand when I was 15, so it felt bad.”
‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ went on to be nominated for three Academy Awards, including Best Actress for Melissa, Best Supporting Actor for Richard and Best Adapted Screenplay, but did not win any statuettes at this year’s ceremony.

Warwick Davis’ family had cameos in the last Harry Potter film

OHMYGOSSIP — Warwick Davis’ family had cameo roles in ‘Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows – Part Two’.
The 49-year-old actor plays both the goblin Griphook and Charms teacher Professor Flitwick in the magic franchise and he has revealed that his wife Samantha, father-in-law and two children, Annabel, 21, and 16-year-old Harrison, appeared in a scene at the Gringotts Wizarding Bank in the final film in the franchise, based on J.K. Rowling’s books.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of ‘Harry Potter’, he said: “The last time I was here, the room was filled with 60 goblins. Some of them my own family namely my wife, father-in-law and kids Annabel and Harrison all played goblins. [So coming back] I think about the fun times we had.
“If you watch ‘Deathly Hallows Part 2’, you’ll see Annabel and Harrison cross the wide shot of Gringotts the first time you come in for the doors in that film.”
Warwick went on to explain that as a veteran ‘Harry Potter’ cast member Griphook was his favourite character to portray as it’s “lovely to play a baddie”.
He said: “It’s lovely to play a baddie, to have an impact like a baddie does in a film. It’s always who an audience remembers … and who we’re strangely drawn to. They’re so fun to play because you’re doing things you’d never do as a person. I’m nothing like Griphook, hopefully.”
The star added that he is “delighted” that Gringotts was included in the Studio Tour and said that while playing the goblin bankteller he spent “a lot of time” in the impressive interior.
He said: “It’s so exciting to be back inside Gringotts Wizarding Bank after so many years. I spent a lot of time here as Griphook and it’s great to see the Studio Tour bring the original set back to life.
“I know visitors will love discovering the details of the goblin prosthetics and the Lestrange vault for themselves and there are more exciting additions to be revealed.”

Irina Shayk: I keep my life in my handbag

OHMYGOSSIP — Irina Shayk keeps her “life” in her handbag.
The 33-year-old Russian supermodel – who has collaborated with Tod’s for the latest redesign of the Iconic D bag – has revealed her must-have items, which she keeps inside her purse at all times, such as sugary sweets to help “fight off” jet-lag and a portable phone charger.
Speaking to British Vogue magazine, she said: “My life is in my bag. Sunglasses, a little candy – a splash of sugar to get you over the jet-lag is the best way to fight it off!
“A charger, a little mirror on the back of your cell phone case so you can check how you look.”
Irina will release her much-anticipated redesign for the Italian label’s D-Styling bag in their spring/summer 2019 collection later this month, and the star insisted that the accessory has become an “essential” part of her wardrobe.
She added: “The first thing that I’ve always associated Tod’s with is a trusted timelessness. The D-Styling bag is a definite favourite and has made itself at home among my daily essential pieces.”
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty – who has two-year-old daughter Lea with Bradley Cooper – previously admitted that although becoming a mother has improved her life, it hasn’t changed her personal style, and she thinks that having children shouldn’t stop a person “expressing” themselves.
When asked if her style changed when she became a parent, she said: “No. Not at all. Sometimes [people] will be like, ‘Oh, she’s a mom and she’s wearing this?’ I’m like, ‘Give me a break, girl.’
“Again, we live in the 21st century. Just because you are a mom and you have a baby doesn’t mean you have to change and dress different. Keep expressing yourself and who you are.”
As for how she keeps up her energy, the model swears by “a good amount of cake” to keep her going, but says she’s trying to stay away from drinking too much coffee, “especially in the winter”.
Asked how she maintains her energy levels, she replied: “Cake! That’s why I brought it with me. A good amount of cake. I’m trying to stay away from coffee because I think it makes you so dry, especially in the winter.
“When I wake up, I have a hot glass of water and with lemon, and one cup of coffee and definitely some cake.”

Jennifer Lopez’s sunglasses obsession

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez’s sunglasses collection is “as bad” as her shoes because she needs a different pair for every mood.
The singer-and-actress has teamed up with her husband-to-be Alex Rodriguez to create a capsule collection of men and women’s shades with the Australian brand Quay.
Asked about her own personal stash of sunnies, she said: “Oh my God. It might be as bad as shoes.
“There’s a lot of sunglasses. It’s like one accessory that you can buy over and over and over. There’s just so many different moods and styles you have, I don’t know I have so many.”
The ‘Second Act’ star says their joint range has “captured” both of their personal styles, and is “glamorous” and “sexy”.
Speaking to Elle.com, she said: “The main thing for us was making sure it captured both of our styles. It needed to be classic but also glamorous and sexy because that’s kind of the field that we like to play in as far as fashion goes, and our life by the way.
“We just wanted to have a strong sense of our self-expression and of who we really are. I think they really nailed that.”
And the 49-year-old beauty felt like the collection was a “natural” collaboration for the pair because she has been wearing the brand’s shades for “years”, and has even worn shades on the red carpet.
She said: “Honestly, whatever I get involved with it’s not like, ‘Oh, I want to do sunglasses’ or ‘Oh, I want to do leggings,’ it’s not like that. It’s always about something that naturally has to do with my life. I’ve been using Quay sunglasses years.
“You can go back and see photos of me rocking Quay styles. They noticed and were like, ‘Hey, maybe we should do something together because we see that you’re a big fan of the brand.’ It was just one of those things that really was a natural collaboration.
“I wear them [shades] to the gym, I wear them on rainy days, I wear them to red carpet events sometimes. I wear them in videos all the time. I wear them in real life when I go to pick my kids up at school. I wear them when I’m hiking. I just wear them all the time.”

Hailey Bieber ‘crazy’ about evening skin routine

OHMYGOSSIP — Hailey Bieber is “crazy” about her nightly skincare regime.
The 22-year-old model – who was known as Hailey Baldwin before tying the knot with Justin Bieber last year – has insisted that sleep is a big part of her beauty ritual and every evening, before bed, she has to complete her nightly routine and take her make-up off because otherwise her OCD sets in and she can’t drift off.
Speaking to W Magazine, she said: “I’m starting to get better about wearing SPF every day – I was never really good at that. I’m crazy about my skin at night. Every night, it’s a routine.
“There’s never not been a scenario where I haven’t taken my makeup off before going to sleep.
“I could have been doing all of the things and I still would have managed to take it off.
“We’ll be trying to go to bed and I’ll just be roaming around. Because I’m a little bit–not a little bit, I’m full-on-OCD, I have to make sure everything is correct before going to sleep.
“I need to make sure the dog is in the cage.
“I need to make sure the lights are off, the door is locked, the teeth have to be brushed. I have a crazy routine.
“Then I’ll lay down and I’ll remember one thing I didn’t do and if I didn’t do it, I have to get up and finish it.
“So I’ll get up again and walk around.
“Justin will be like, ‘What are you doing?! Go to sleep!'”
The blonde beauty also praised her mother, Kennya Baldwin, for instilling the importance of a good skin regime in her from such a young age, because now she has “soft” skin due to moisturising daily.
Opening up about her earliest beauty memory, she added: “Probably just rummaging through my mom’s makeup as a kid and trying to do my own makeup with things I found. My mom was always super big on moisturizing, too.
“She would never let me get out of the shower or the bath without lathering me in lotion – I hated it, too – which I’m thankful for now because I have soft skin and, now, I don’t ever get out of the bath or shower without lathering lotion all over.
“I use a lot of oils, like coconut oil.
“I try to use things that I don’t think are going to be too harmful or fragrance-y.
“I prefer natural fragrances because your skin is the biggest organ of your body, so everything you’re putting into your skin is super important.”

Hilary Duff disturbs intruder

OHMYGOSSIP — Hilary Duff and her boyfriend scared away a would-be intruder from their home.
The 31-year-old actress and partner Matthew Koma – who have five-month-old daughter Banks together – were in the kitchen of their Beverly Hills mansion at around 8.30pm on Tuesday (19.03.19) evening, when they noticed a man in their backyard.
According to TMZ, the couple somehow managed to scare away the intruder before calling police.
Officers attended the scene, and when doing a search, discovered a window screen had been removed, though the intruder didn’t make it inside the house.
Cops dispatched extra patrols around the area and are continuing to investigate as the man is still on the loose.
The incident came after Hilary – who also has six-year-old son Luca with ex-husband Mike Comrie – was previously robbed of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewellery from the same property in 2017.
At the time, the blonde beauty and her family were in Canada, and thieves targeted her empty home.
They broke through a door and no alarm went off so they were able to make off with the jewellery without detection.
Meanwhile, the former ‘Lizzie McGuire’ star recently admitted she and Matthew rarely leave the house now because of their family.
Speaking on a rare occasion when she did leave the house to attend the Golden Globes in January, she said: “I don’t leave the house anymore these days, I don’t know what to say. We feel good, we’re like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s past our bedtime. We’re out and we’re raging, what is this?’
“I mean, our baby is 10 weeks old and I obviously have a 6-year-old too, so we’re, like, full parents right now.”

Mindy Kaling creates new Netflix comedy

OHMYGOSSIP — Mindy Kaling is creating a new comedy series for Netflix.
The ‘Ocean’s Eight’ star will reteam with her ‘Mindy Project’ writer Lang Fisher and executive producer Howard Klein for the coming-of-age story, which will be inspired her own childhood and is described as an exploration of the complicated life of a modern-day first generation Indian American teenage girl.
Mindy – who has written about her teen years in her books ‘Is Everyone Hanging Out With Me and Other Concerns’ and ‘Why Not Me?’ – tweeted: “I’m joining the @netflix fam! @loulielang and I are working on a brand-new @netflix TV comedy about the life of a modern-day first generation Indian American teenage girl. Get ready for lots of relatable, awkward teen moments. More coming soon (sic)”
Meanwhile, Mindy recently admitted she felt “awful” when Fox cancelled ‘The Mindy Project’ in 2015, though it was picked up on Hulu and continued until November 2017.
Opening up about how she felt when told Fox were stopping production, she said: “It was awful. It felt personal. I was the face of the show. My name was in the title.”
The Indian/American actress credits her success to having “mentors” who believed in her.
She said: “For many years, I thought that hard work was the only way you could succeed, but it’s simply not true. Particularly if you’re a woman of color, you need people to give you opportunities, because otherwise it won’t happen. Talent is an important part of success, but you also need mentors to find promise in people that don’t necessarily seem like they will fit in.”
Mindy – who has a 15-month-old daughter, Katherine – believes comedy can be a short career because comics get less “funny” as they get older because of complacency.
In an interview with the latest issue of Variety magazine, she said: “Almost no one who is funny when they were younger is still funny when they’re old. Success is terrible because as you get more successful, it leeches away your talent. It makes you rich and it makes you complacent.”

David Letterman should have quit show sooner

OHMYGOSSIP — David Letterman thinks he should have retired from ‘The Late Show’ a decade before he did.
The 71-year-old broadcaster stepped away from the programme in 2015 after more than 30 years and while he believes he outstayed his welcome, he claimed no one had “the guts” to fire him.
Speaking on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, he said: “Yes it is true, and I’ll tell you what happened.
“It turns out nobody had the guts to fire me. And I should have left like 10 years ago. You want to make sure you have some energy to direct toward other things.”
David praised the ‘Finding Dory’ star for doing other things alongside her long-running show and admitted he should have done more himself.
He said: “I did not. All I cared about was myself. I was looking through the wrong end of the telescope.”
Elsewhere on the programme, the presenter – who now hosts ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction’ on Netflix – recalled a funny incident in a hotel that left him convinced he was going to be sent to prison.
Ellen’s producer Mary used to work on ‘The Late Show’ and she and David were once playing catch on the 14th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City – only to accidentally break a window with a baseball, which flew down onto the crowds outside.
David quipped: “Well how many are dead?
“So I’m stunned and I go over to where the window is and I’m just kind of hiding and looking down there…and people were looking up because shards of glass had rain down on the Avenue of America. And I see a guy down there point up and go, ‘Oh hey there’s David Letterman!’ and I just thought I was spending the rest of my life in prison.”

Liam Bairstow makes World Down Syndrome Day appeal

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Bairstow has encouraged people to “follow your dreams” as part of a World Down Syndrome Day appeal.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor – who became the first person with Down syndrome to secure a lead role on the ITV soap in 2015 – admits he was “overwhelmed” when he first joined the show as Alex Warner, but he now feels “part of the team” and has made some “really good friends” on the programme.
He told the Yorkshire Evening Post newspaper: “When I first went into ‘Coronation Street’ it was quite overwhelming, I couldn’t believe I was there.
“It’s been great from the start, though – I feel like part of the team and have made some really good friends.
“I’d say to anyone who is reading this and wondering if they could do something similar, never give up, keep trying and fight for your dreams. I believe in you.”
Liam is represented by the Yorkshire Academy of Film and Television Acting (YAFTA), as is ‘Emmerdale’ actor James Moore – who has Ataxic cerebral palsy – and managing director Charlotte Armitage is “hugely proud” of the pair.
She added: “What’s really important about Liam and James is that they are both showing that acting is a viable career pathway for people with disabilities.”
James – who plays Ryan Stocks on the ITV soap – regularly encourages other disabled actors to follow their dreams by tweeting out inspirational messages.
Last night (20.03.19), he wrote on Twitter: “I feel like there’s a lot of negative stuff going around so I wanted to do a positive tweet for disabled people everywhere- it’s not what we can’t do but what we can that matters.
I CAN drive.
I CAN act.
I CAN work.
Let’s work together and overcome this stigma. #DisabilityRights (sic)”

Jimmy Carr says he only works two hours a day

OHMYGOSSIP — Jimmy Carr says the best thing about being a comedian is only working two hours a day.
The 46-year-old stand-up comic loves his job because he gets to go on tour and travel the world, and joked he gets to spend almost full days vacationing abroad because he gets “all day” to himself.
Jimmy appeared on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (21.03.19) and said: “You get to travel a lot [on tour]. I get all day to myself. I work two hours a day, at most. So the rest of the day you’re just sort of goofing around.”
The star also revealed that he loves travelling as a comedian because it encourages him to be inquisitive and interact with people as opposed to just being a passive tourist.
He explained: “It’s also quite nice when you’re a comedian because when you’re travelling you sort of have to ask a lot of questions. Sometimes when you travel on your own, you just look at stuff but don’t really interact.”
The ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’ host added he doesn’t feel the need to censor his jokes even though there is a lot of pressure to be politically correct, because he thinks his audiences just see his shows as a way to release tension.
He said: “Doing a comedy show is like a safe space. In that theatre everyone has come and bought a ticket and it’s really safe to tell those jokes in that space. It’s about releasing tension and there’s quite a lot of tension around those kind of subject so it’s quite easy to get a laugh out of those things.
“I don’t think people really mind. I don’t think anyone ever really remembers what a comedian says. I think they remember how you make them feel. So they sort of leave after an hour and half. They can’t remember any of the jokes. They go, ‘Well I released a lot of endorphins and I feel better!’ ”

Keith Lemon: Paddy McGuinness was always going to be Celebrity Juice captain

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Lemon says the new ‘Celebrity Juice’ team captain was “always going to be” Paddy McGuinness.
The outrageous TV presenter – who is the comic creation of actor Leigh Francis – has addressed the rumours that ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ star Emily Atack was going to take over from Fearne Cotton after she quit the show at the end of last year, but he insisted there would have been “too many comparisons” if the actress had taken on the role.
Speaking to Digital Spy, he said: “There were rumours about it being Emily Atack and I love her to death, but it was always going to be Paddy.
“Me and Holly [Willoughby] met up to discuss who would take over and we just agreed immediately that it had to be Paddy. She’s really good mates with him and while she’s my TV sister, Paddy’s my TV brother.
“I think it’s great because if we’d have got another girl there would have been too many comparisons with Fearne.”
Emily, 29, previously admitted that the ‘Take Me Out’ host is “great” for the job and said she is “happy” he got the role as team captain.
She gushed: “Paddy will be amazing! Paddy is just brilliant and he’s great for the job. The ‘Celeb Juice’ job was never mine, people just guessed, but it was quite funny to watch the rumours.
“Leigh and I were just laughing. Leigh and I are such close friends, we’re together a lot and people just assumed… People just decided to put two and two together.
“But I knew I never had the job, I always knew Paddy had the job, so I’ve always been very happy for Paddy.”

Bonnie Tyler only made an album because of her Rod Stewart duet

OHMYGOSSIP — Bonnie Tyler wasn’t going to make an album before she got to duet with Sir Rod Stewart.
The 80s’ icon couldn’t believe her luck when she was on holiday with her pal Sir Cliff Richard – who she also ended up recording the track ‘Taking Control’ with for her new record – and his friend managed to arrange for the pair to team up on ‘Battle of the Sexes’ from her first album in six years, ‘Between the Earth and the Stars’.
Appearing on UK TV show ‘Loose Women’, Bonnie recalled: “I was on holiday with Sir Cliff in the Bahamas …
“We were invited out for lunch and it turned out to be one of Rod’s best friends, in fact Rod was his best man at his wedding, I said, ‘Can you ask Rod if he will do a duet with me?’
“He said, ‘Send him an email, address it to Rod and send it to me and I’ll pass it on to Rod Stewart and see what happens.’ So this was like in the January, and I waited until I found the right song, which took a couple of months later.
“I had this song ‘Battle of the Sexes’.
“A fantastic song. So I sent it to Ricky, his friend, he passed it on.
“Within a day or two days, Rod got back to me personally to say, by email, yes, he wouldn’t normally, but yes he would do it. Yeah, chuffed.”
As well as having both Cliff and Rod on the record, the ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ hitmaker was also given a song by Bee Gees legend Barry Gibb, ‘Seven Waves Away’, and Status Quo’s Francis Rossi co-wrote ‘Someone’s Rockin’ Your Heart’.
Admitting she had no intention of making new music, Bonnie said: “A lot of people say we’ve been waiting for this [Rod duet)].
“Also Barry Gibb wrote a song for me called ‘Seven Waves Away’.
“You can’t believe it.
“The opportunities … I wasn’t even going to make an album, you know?”
Bonnie reunited with her producer David MacKay – who she hadn’t worked with since her 1992 LP ‘Natural Force’.
Asked whether she did the recording in person with Rod – who she has a husky voice in common with – she said: “That’s the thing, people have met him but I haven’t, he was in LA when I was in London.
“When he was in London, David [MacKay], my producer, went down to his house to record it.
“I was on tour in Europe then.
She added: “Anyway, I’ve also done one with Sir Cliff Richard.”
Cliff wanted to do a duet with Bonnie as soon as he heard her song with Rod.
On how the track with the ‘Devil Woman’ singer came about, she recalled: “Actually we were going out one night in Portugal and they came to the house first and I said, ‘Can I play you a couple of songs that I’ve done.’
“First of all I played him the Barry Gibb song, he said, ‘It’s beautiful.’
“Then I played him the duet with Francis Rossi (Status Quo) and then I played him the Rod Stewart duet.
“He was like, ‘Rod’s done a duet with you! … we can do a duet.’
“I said, ”I’ll keep you to that’, and he said, ‘If we can find the right song, we are on.’
“Of course my producer David found the right song, ‘Taking Control’, and it got airplay this morning, I’m chuffed.”
‘Between the Earth and the Stars’ is released on March 15.

Macaulay Culkin jokes about Michael Jackson sex abuse allegations

OHMYGOSSIP — Macaulay Culkin joked about the child sex abuse allegations surrounding his late friend Michael Jackson at a comedy gig on Tuesday night (19.03.19).
The 38-year-old actor was friends with the late King of Pop as a child and would regularly stay over at the singer’s Neverland home and his friendship with Michael was discussed in Dan Reed’s documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’, in which Wade Robson and James Safechuck claim their were sexually assaulted by the musician.
Macaulay seemingly ridiculed their claims during the latest instalment of his Bunny Ears Podcast Live show as he spoke with comedian Weird Al Yankovic – who famously released as spoof of Jackson’s hit ‘Beat It’ entitled ‘Eat It’ in 1984 – on stage at the Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (19.03.19).
Macaulay jokingly asked Al: “I’m going to ask you a very serious question; what was your relationship like with Michael Jackson?”
To which Al replied: “Um, mostly platonic. I met him two or three times, he was pretty sweet to me.”
Prompting the pair to start laughing.
The ‘Home Alone’ star made the joke in front of Jackson’s 20-year-old daughter Paris – who he is godfather too – after she attended the event with her boyfriend Gabriel Glenn.
The ‘Home Alone’ star then insisted that Michael was a “huge fan” of Al’s and would play his videos “constantly”.
Macaulay said: “Sounds amazing, he sounds really cool, yeah …
“I will say he was a huge, huge fan of yours. Yes, he always had your videos kind of playing constantly. There you go, validation. Praise. Hail, Caesar!”
Macaulay has always denied any suggestion that Michael ever acted inappropriately towards him and testified in his defence in his 2005 child molestation trial in which the pop star was acquitted on every charge.
‘Leaving Neverland’ director Dan Reed has revealed he is interested in making a follow-up documentary film about the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker’s trial.
Reed would like to delve deeper into Jackson’s story but would only tackle the trial if Gavin Arvizo – the boy who accused Michael of molesting him – would consent to take part because he cannot understand how the singer was acquitted.
Asked if he’d like to make a sequel, he told Film School Rejects: “Oh yeah, I would love to do that. The film I would really like to make following this one is the trial of Michael Jackson.
“I could only do that if the victim and his family participate. It would be a much weaker film [if they didn’t.] I don’t want to follow ‘Leaving Neverland’ with a weaker film. If Gavin Arvizo and his family would agree to participate, I would very much like to tell the story of that trial. I think it’s fascinating and astonishing that Michael was acquitted. The way that happened is an amazing story and one that should be told. But no, I’m not going to just carry on making Michael Jackson films, that’s not my thing.”
