Susan Boyle in talks to join Britains’ Got Talent: The Champions

OHMYGOSSIP — Susan Boyle is in talks to star in ‘Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions’.
The 57-year-old shot to fame when she finished second on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2009, but may have another shot at the top prize because judges want her on the special show after she recently impressed Simon Cowell on ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’, on which she made it to the final 12.
An insider told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: “American viewers were furious when SuBo didn’t win and now Simon wants to give her a second shot by getting her on the British version of the show.
“Susan’s a great competitor, has a fascinating back story and is really popular with the British public. She came second in her original appearance and got near on ‘AGT’ – so this could be third time lucky.”
The singer could also be joined by ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ 2012 winner Ashleigh Butler, who triumphed on the programme with her dancing dog act Pudsey who unfortunately died in 2017. She now performs alongside his replacement Sully.
What’s more, dancer George Sampson, who won the show in 2008, is also said to have been approached.
Susan recently admitted she was “disappointed” not to win ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’.
The ‘I Dream a Dream’ singer was sad she didn’t finish first in the hit talent contest but was also happy that magician Shin Lim – who won the final – beat her because she already has a successful music career.
Susan said: “I’m so fortunate that I have a great career to go back to.
“Of course, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed, but also deep down I didn’t think I would win.”

Marvel star Madeleine McGraw voicing Bonnie in Toy Story 4

OHMYGOSSIP — Young Marvel star Madeleine McGraw will voice the character Bonnie in ‘Toy Story 4’.
The 10-year-old actress – who made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in 2018’s ‘Ant-Man & The Wasp’ as the younger version of Hope van Dyne – takes over the role of the sweet youngster, the new owner of Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) Woody (Tom Hanks) and the rest of the toy gang in the Disney Pixar animated sequel.
Emily Hahn voiced the character in the third instalment of the franchise, which was released in 2010 and saw the toys’ original owner Andy getting ready to go to college and his beloved toys are accidentally donated to a day-care centre where they must escape the tyrannical rule of Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear.
Eventually they get back to Andy who donates all his toys to Bonnie, the daughter of the receptionist at the centre.
Earlier this year, Tom, 62, revealed that he’d recorded his final ever scenes as his cowboy character Woody after first bringing the beloved Disney Pixar character to life in 1995.
Along with a photo of himself in the recording studio, he tweeted: “Final line, final session as Woody of Toy Story 4. We rode like the wind, to infinity and beyond. Hanx (sic)”
According to the Disney synopsis, the upcoming instalment will focus on Woody’s original love interest Bo Peep.
It reads: “Woody has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (Tony Hale), declares himself as ‘trash’ and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep.”

Jordan Peele’s Us breaks horror film records at box office

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’ broke horror movie records as it topped the weekend American box office with $70.3 million.
The fright fest starring Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke banked the huge sum at the domestic box office and now holds the title for the biggest opening weekend for an original horror movie.
The movie – which is Jordan’s second stint in the director’s chair following 2017’s thriller ‘Get Out’ – is now the third best horror opening of all time after 2018’s ‘Halloween’ sequel and 2017’s reboot of Stephen King’s ‘It’.
The film – which premiered at the South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas earlier this month – has been universally praised by critics with a 95 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
‘Get Out’ – which starred Daniel Kaluuya and Allison Williams – made $33.4 million during its first weekend and eventually grossed a total of $176 million in North America and scored an impressive 98 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The 40-year-old filmmaker previously revealed that although his hit 2017 satirical horror ‘Get Out’ was made with $5 million, he thought it was “key” to have a bigger budget for ‘Us’ – which was made with $20 million – as it allowed him more “freedom” to tell the story he wanted to on screen.
Peele said: “I had about five times the budget on this one, which by movie standards is still not that expensive of a film. That was the key for me. Otherwise, I may not have had my freedom.”
“As a filmmaker, I also thrive with a certain restriction. I didn’t want to overreach with the budget and all of a sudden have a studio being responsible on me.”

The 44-year-old singer – who was previously a member of Eternal, before launching her solo career in the 1990s – has announced her new LP ‘Heavy Love’, her first album since 2002’s ‘Finest Moments’, and admitted her return to the studio was an “emotional” one.
Louise, who smoulders in the sexy promo for the new track, said: “Making this album has been a real emotional and honest process for me.
“It’s been 18 years since I went into a recording studio, and with no expectations I’ve come out with a body of work which I am so proud of. I can’t wait for you all to hear it!”
The lead single, ‘Stretch’, will be released on Tuesday (26.03.19), followed by a music video on Friday (29.03.19).
The racy number sees Louise – who divorced football pundit Jamie Redknapp, with whom she has sons Beau, 10, and Charles, 14, in 2017 – belt out: “If you’re gonna move for me, then up your rhythm.
“You’ve got my curiosity, now show me heaven. Can you keep it up for me?
“Keep me sweating, obsessing, regressing, I want to see you stretch.”
The ‘2 Faced’ hitmaker – who recently signed a record deal with Warner Music UK – has teamed up with the likes of Clean Bandit and RAYE, plus songwriters Eg White (Adele, Celine Dion) Sinead Harnett and Karen Poole on the new record.
Speaking about inking a deal with Warner – the home to Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Jess Glynne and Stormzy – the ‘Stuck in the Middle With You’ hitmaker said recently: “25 years ago I signed my first solo deal with Parlophone, and I am so excited to be continuing my journey with the Warner Music family.
“I can’t wait for everyone to hear this new album.”
In 2018, the singer made her live comeback on the ‘Intimate and Live Tour’ and also supported pop royalty Britney Spears at the Brighton Pride Festival.
Louise took a break from the music industry in 2004, as she prepared for the arrival of her son Charles.
A full track-listing for ‘Heavy Love’, which is released on October 18, is yet to be revealed.

The Walker Brothers star Scott Walker dead at 76

OHMYGOSSIP — The Walker Brothers star Scott Walker has died.
The 76-year-old music legend – who found fame in the hugely influential US pop group in the 1960s, before launching a successful solo career in the UK – has sadly passed away, his record label 4AD has confirmed.
In a statement on their website, they said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scott Walker.
“Scott was 76 years old and is survived by his daughter, Lee, his granddaughter, Emmi-Lee, and his partner Beverly.
“For half a century, the genius of the man born Noel Scott Engel has enriched the lives of thousands, first as one third of The Walker Brothers, and later as a solo artist, producer and composer of uncompromising originality.
“Scott Walker has been a unique and challenging titan at the forefront of British music: audacious and questioning, he has produced works that dare to explore human vulnerability and the godless darkness encircling it.”
The singer was joined in ‘The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine (Anymore)’ group, who formed in 1964, by John Walker and Gary Leeds.
As one third of the band and a solo artist, he influenced a whole host of music stars with his distinct baritone vocals, including the late David Bowie and Leonard Cohen, as well as, the likes of Pulp, Radiohead and The Last Shadow Puppets.
Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has led tributes to the late songwriter and composer, sharing what a “huge influence” he had on his music.
He tweeted: “So very sad to hear that Scott Walker has passed away, he was a huge influence on Radiohead and myself, showing me how i could use my voice and words. Met him once at Meltdown, such a kind gentle outsider. He will be very missed.”
Scott moved to the UK, where his first three solo albums all reached the top 10, in 1965, before becoming a British citizen five years later.
He was also a renowned composer, and last year saw him score Brady Corbet’s film ‘Vox Lux’, which featured ‘Chandelier’ hitmaker Sia.
Scott’s cause of death is currently unknown.

Ashley Graham uses ‘affirmations’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham uses “affirmations” to help her feel strong.
The 31-year-old model has praised her mother Linda Graham, 53, for instilling the importance of “words” into her from a young age, and knowing that they have the “power” to help when struggling with “different issues”.
Speaking to Vogue Australia, she said: “The biggest thing is how you use your words. I think a lot of people look in the mirror and they say ‘Oh, I’m sad’ or ‘I’m ugly, I’m stupid, I’m not worthy, or XYZ’. You have to really understand that your words have power and something I had to learn at a young age was affirmation.
“When I was 17 my mum helped me make these affirmations ‘I am bold, I am brilliant, I am beautiful, I am worthy of all, and I love you’.
“Those are my affirmations and everybody’s affirmations are different, because everybody’s struggling with different issues.”
The brunette beauty believes it is important to be surrounded by “positive” people.
She added: “I also think that your community is huge, whether you’ve got one friend or 20 friends, if those 20 friends are taking you down, it’s going to go quick, and the same with that one friend, so just make sure you’ve got positive people around you.”
Ashley loves hearing her fans share their own self-love journey, and will make sure to answer any private messages she receives.
She said: “I love hearing from fans, I love hearing just all the incredible different types of stories, I answer my DMs, it’s important to have a dialogue about, not just body diversity, but loving who you are, it’s not just about size, it’s about anybody, it’s about any race, gender, size, and religious background. It doesn’t matter, it’s just about loving who you are!”

Victoria Beckham has released 11-piece capsule collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham has released a capsule collection inspired by past silhouettes from her own designs.
The 44-year-old fashionista has introduced an exclusive 11-piece limited-edition range of dresses based on her VB archives for her much-anticipated spring/summer 2019 collection.
Speaking to UK Vogue, she said: “I delved into the archives in the run up to my brand’s 10-year anniversary, revisiting some of my favourite styles and reimagining them for the Victoria Beckham woman today.
“The collection celebrates where my brand has come from and what we have achieved, and offers timeless dresses for all occasions that blend seamlessly into any wardrobe.”
The exclusive capsule edit – which is priced from £950 to £1,825 – features a-symmetrical cuts and sleeveless dresses in an ivory, black and tomato-red palette.
The fashion mogul – who has children Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 14, and Harper, seven, with her husband David Beckham – previously admitted that she opts for “practical” dresses because they minimise stress in the mornings.
She said: “My style has changed a lot over the years and now I choose pieces that make my life simpler, things that are easy to wear and practical. I think a lot more about what makes me feel good, so maybe that’s an extra couple of inches on the hem to take a dress below the knee, or a super-flattering neckline – things that make me feel more comfortable.
“Not having to think about an outfit can really help the morning stress levels – so being able to just throw one thing on is ideal.”
And Victoria believes the key to looking good in a dress is having the “confidence” to wear one.
She said: “The way things fit to the body and the silhouettes the pieces create are at the forefront of my mind when designing.
“[The secret to a great dress is] confidence! If you look good, you feel good. I want women who wear my pieces to feel like the best version of themselves.”

Mick Miller wants Coronation Street role

OHMYGOSSIP — Mick Miller has urged Simon Gregson to help him land a role on ‘Coronation Street’.
The 69-year-old comedian has issued a come-and-get-me-plea to ‘Corrie’ bosses after praising the production team and casting director for their hard work on last week’s factory collapse storyline, which resulted in the death of character Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia).
He wrote on Twitter: “I also think they are wonderful, especially my mate @simongregson123 and the production team including the casting director. If you’re ever looking for a character with a bald head and long hair down the sides, I’m your man (sic)”
The ‘Peter Kay’s Car Share’ star even joked he could appear as Simon’s character Steve McDonald’s brother Andy McDonald – who was played by Nicholas Cochrane – who is now residing in Spain.
He tweeted: “I could play your twin, Andy on his return from Spain! They’d have to say he’d had a hard life over there (sic)”
And Simon has backed his pal’s aim to join the show.
He wrote: “I reckon you’d be ace Mick”
Mick’s plea comes after Bev Callard urged TV presenter Lorraine Kelly to “bully” ‘Corrie’ bosses into bringing Nick back to play Andy.
She recently said: “We so want Nick, who played Andy, to come back as well. We’d love the four of us to all be together again.”
Lorraine added: “That would be fantastic, let’s campaign for that.”
Last summer, Nick hinted he may return to the cobbles, admitting the door has always been left open.
He said: “He went to Spain and then he never came back.
“He was never killed off, the door was left open, they go and visit him quite frequently.
“Well I’m a good excuse for when everyone needs to go on a real holiday, they send them to Spain to go see me.”

Georgia Toffolo laughs off Jack Maynard romance rumours

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia Toffolo has laughed off speculation she is dating Jack Maynard.
The 24-year-old reality TV star won ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ in 2017 but has dismissed rumours she is dating the YouTuber – who she starred alongside on the ITV show – and says they are just “close” friends.
She told HELLO! magazine: “I think because we’re so close it does look like we’re a couple. I adore him. I’m so glad we met.”
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star is “unfazed” by rumours romantically linking her to the vlogger, and insisted she is currently single and “loves” going on dates because she sees them as “social experiments”.
She said: “I love going on dates. They’re like social experiments and it’s an excuse to get dressed up. Even if you don’t get on, it’s a funny experience to tell the girls.”
The bubbly blonde launched her own YouTube channel last September and she has had to be strong when internet trolls have criticised her accent and skin.
She said: “Having social media does open you up to trolling, and mine is always about my skin.
“I see comments occasionally about the way I speak but it goes straight over my head. You speak the way you speak and it is a silly thing to judge someone on.”
Georgia will be “concentrating” on her YouTube channel, which has more than 100,000 subscribers, this year because she wants to make social media a “hub of celebration” rather than focusing on the bad comments she sees online.
She said: “Social media is such a powerful tool and I would love it to be a hub of celebration rather than focusing on negativity.”

Ed Sheeran becomes Ivor Novello board member

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran has joined the board for the Ivor Novello Awards.
The ‘Perfect’ hitmaker – who is a regular winner at the prestigious annual songwriting prize-giving and won Songwriter of the Year and the PRS for Music Most Performed Work prize for ‘Shape of You’ in 2018 – has joined what was previously known as BASCA – the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors – which is changing its name to The Ivors Academy.
The 28-year-old singer/songwriter joins 2,000 members, including the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, Annie Lennox, Dizzee Rascal and Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood.
Ed – who has sold more than 150 million records worldwide – has co-written hits for the likes of Justin Bieber, One Direction, Jessie Ware, James Blunt and Taylor Swift, to name a few.
Explaining the “important” name change, Graham Davies, chief executive of The Ivors Academy, said: “Becoming The Ivors Academy is an important step in our history. We are becoming true champions of music creators.
“Music starts with the creator and without their contribution to recordings, videos, games, TV, film, radio and live, the riches enjoyed across the media and technology industries would not exist.
“Riches should be shared fairly so that creators can make a living from their art and craft.
“Creators should not have to constantly fight to retain their rights, fight to be paid and fight for fair access to work.
“In the past the industry has spoken on behalf of creators, but The Ivors Academy will empower creators to raise their voice and speak up for themselves.”
On how they are working to “inspire” the next generation of songwriters, Crispin Hunt, Songwriter and Chair of The Ivors Academy, said: “The future needs a powerful collective voice for music writers.
“The Ivors Academy of Music Creators is the future-facing, fit-for-purpose evolution of BASCA’s great legacy.
“Our mission is to innovate, inspire, inform, empower and celebrate musical creativity: connecting a global membership towards a flourishing musical future for every genre and every future genre.”
Songwriter and recipient of the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contemporary Song Collection, Joan Armatrading, added: “Recognition for my songwriting, especially from my peers, is extremely important to me.
“Being part of an organisation that stands up for our rights, and protects the value of our craft, is invaluable in today’s industry and I’d encourage every songwriter and composer to add to our collective voice.”
The Ivor Novello Awards 2019 will take place on May 23 at Grosvenor House in London, hosted by Paul Gambaccini, and the nominations will be revealed on April 24.

Circa Waves dream of their own booze cruise

OHMYGOSSIP — Circa Waves want to host their own booze cruise.
The ‘Fire That Burns’ hitmakers recently had fans down to their own Circa Waves Tavern pop-up bar in Camden, London, to escape the madness of Brexit, where they served up their own brand of “flat lager”.
And now the Liverpool rockers – comprised of Kieran Shudall, Joe Falconer, Sam Rourke and Colin Jones – have shared their “dream” gig, a lock-in on the water.
Frontman Kieran told the Daily Star newspaper: “The ultimate dream would be to do a Circa Waves cruise where we pick you up in Liverpool and head round to some sort of beautiful coastline.
“All we’ll serve is Circa Waves lager – and we’ll only play Circa Waves!”
Kieran also revealed that the band – who play Reading and Leeds Festivals this August – have headlining Glastonbury on their bucket list.
He continued: “It’s a great flat lager called Circa Waves Lager – and it’s one of the dreams as a band.
“You have headlining Glastonbury, meet your heroes and make your own beer.”
The ‘T-Shirt Weather’ singer has come up with an idea to get his band’s name circulating at festivals, including the Worthy Farm extravaganza in Somerset.
He added: “A way to spread the Circa Waves love would be to serve our beer at festivals like Glastonbury.
“We need to find ourselves a distributor.”
While the band dream of Glastonbury, they will next be seen playing an intimate support slot at Two Door Cinema Club’s show as part of Annie Mac’s AMP London series at Oval Space in London on Saturday (30.03.19).

The 35-year-old professional wrestler recently bought a house in Los Angeles, California, where she has been enjoying several dates with the likes of Artem Chigvinstev – whom she was paired with on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in 2017 – and ‘The Bachelorette’ star Peter Kraus.
And since the move, Nikki – who was formerly engaged to fellow wrestler John Cena before they broke things off just weeks prior to their planned wedding date – has said she has a “new level of excitement” to her life.
Speaking in Sunday’s (24.03.19) season finale of ‘Total Bellas’, the reality star said: “I just feel like this free spirit. Truly like a butterfly out of her cage. I don’t know, I have this new level of excitement. I’m ready to really explore new things and people and just really see what certain chemistries are all about.”
Meanwhile, in a promotional clip for the episode, Nikki had admitted that despite her efforts to move on from the split with John, she would be devastated to see the WWE star romancing someone else.
She confessed to her twin sister Brie Bella: “No matter what, the next time I see him with someone it’s going to kill me. I still have a long way to go, but honestly I’m ready for a new me.”

Geri Horner ‘realised quickly’ she wasn’t a lesbian after Mel B romp

OHMYGOSSIP — Geri Horner “realised quickly” she wasn’t a lesbian after her one time romp with Spice Girls band mate Mel B.
Mel, 43, recently revealed she and her pal Geri – who is now married to Christian Horner – once had a “one time” sexual encounter during their days in 90s girl group Spice Girls.
And in a previous radio interview which was resurfaced after Mel’s claims, Geri admitted to having a same sex encounter with a then-unnamed woman, but said the experience wasn’t her “cup of tea”.
Speaking to US DJ Howard Stern in an interview back in the 90s, Geri – who has daughter Bluebell, 12, with Sacha Gervasi, and son Montague, two, with Christian – said: “I had lesbian sex once. I realised quickly I was not a lesbian. I don’t mind boobs but the other bit is not my cup of tea. I didn’t like the lesbian thing. It is part of experimenting. I was drunk at the time.
“I could never ever say who it was. I don’t think she was a lesbian either. I’m going to leave the rest to your imagination.”
Mel’s comments were included in a promotional clip taken from her appearance on ‘Piers Morgan’s Life Stories’, the full episode of which will air this summer.
She said: “We were best friends. It just happened. It wasn’t a thing. It just happened. We just giggled at it and that was it. It just happens one time and then you talk about it and it does not really happen again. It was just that one time.”
But the ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker feared Geri, 46, wouldn’t be too happy with her decision to come clean about the romp.
She added: “Hopefully when Geri gets asked she wont deny it, because it was just a thing. It was not anything major. It was just a fun thing. You asked me a question and I answered it.
“She is going to hate me for this because she is all posh in her country house and her husband. But its’ a fact. She is going to kill me and so is her husband.”

Tina Knowles: Duchess Meghan is ‘wonderful’

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles thinks Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is a “great representation” for people of colour.
The 37-year-old former actress – who joined the royal family when she married Prince Harry in May last year – is of African-American descent, and Tina has praised her for her “wonderful” personality, calling her a “beautiful, independent young woman”.
Speaking to Us Weekly magazine at the opening of art exhibition ‘Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power 1963-1983’ the 63-year-old fashion designer – who is the mother of both Beyoncé and Solange – said: “I mean, I think she’s a beautiful, intelligent, independent young woman. I think it’s amazing that she got that opportunity and that she is a great representation for our people. It’s really wonderful!”
Tina’s comments come after Meghan’s former co-star Gregg Sulkin – who starred with her in 2015 film ‘Anti-Social’ – described her as “one of the most sincere and genuine people” he knows.
He said: “Everybody does know her as a princess, but in real life, she genuinely is also like a princess. She is one of the classiest, the nicest, one of the most sincere and genuine people I’ve ever met.”
The British actor also praised the royal – who is currently expecting her first child with Harry – for how well she’s handled the negative criticism that has surrounded her since her relationship with the flame-haired prince went public.
He added: “She’s a superstar. She was a superstar. To me, I’m so proud the fact that she’s part of my country’s history in all honesty, aside from obviously having a personal relationship with her. I just think the way she’s handle it – obviously the press of … you know, it hasn’t been easy for her. And she’s stuck to her guns, which is, you know, ‘when they go low, we go high’ sort of mentality and I think she’s done that. I think she’s been a class act.”

Rochelle Humes’ daughters are ‘opposites’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rochelle Humes’ daughters are “two opposite babies”.
The 30-year-old singer and television presenter has daughters Alaia-Mae, five, and Valentina, two, with her husband Marvin Humes, and has said that whilst her eldest child is “so sociable”, her youngest needed the help of their new puppy Ginger to bring out her “confident side”.
She said: “Alaia’s very outgoing and so sociable. I’ve got two opposite babies. The puppy’s brought a really confident side out in Valle, though, because she’s normally so reserved.”
And the Saturday’s singer wants her daughters to take after her own mother, who worked three jobs to provide for her children and taught her what it meant to be a “really strong woman”.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, she added: “I’ve grown up watching my mum raise us on her own, working three jobs, she’s a really strong woman. She didn’t know any different and those were the cards she had been dealt so she just got on with it. If you want something, you work for it. That’s what I want my kids to know and they definitely do.”
Meanwhile, Rochelle previously admitted she wants to have a third child and she thinks it would be great to have a son to complete her and Marvin’s family.
She said: “There was a time when I definitely thought I would only have two children, but now I don’t know. I can’t imagine not having a tiny baby again. I think I’m always really broody but you’ve got to stop somewhere. I actually thought I was having a boy when I had Valentina. But I really wanted Alaia to have a sister, so I thought: if we only had two I’d want another little girl. I’d be the type who’d end up with eight girls trying for a boy.”
