OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Whishaw had therapy to help him come to terms with his sexuality.
The ‘Paddington’ actor – who entered a civil partnership with composer Mark Bradshaw in 2012 – admitted he struggled to tell his family that he is gay and his feelings left him “hating” himself but he found seeking outside help very beneficial.
He said: “I’ve gone through a few difficult things. There was a moment in my early twenties when I did not feel very good about myself. It was to do with my sexuality and not knowing how to be myself and hating myself. I did know [my sexuality], I just couldn’t tell anyone.”
Of seeking therapy, he added: “It really did help.”
The ‘Spectre’ star spent many years not discussing his personal life because he felt speaking about his sexuality would leave him “pigeonholed”, but he’s discovered after coming out publicly that there have been no “negative effects” to his career.
He said: “People assume there’s some juicy secret. But I don’t agree any more with that statement [about being pigeonholed]. I don’t think it’s the be-all and end-all, and since revealing my sexuality I haven’t had any negative effects.”
The 38-year-old actor believes “most people” are on a “spectrum” of different sexualities.
He told Sunday Times magazine: “I think it’s very unfair when people say they’re bisexual and they’re accused of being gay really. If we’re honest about these things, perhaps most people are on a spectrum.”
However, Ben admitted he often gets “mixed up” with the terms people use to label themselves these days.
He said: “Do you think I’m androgynous? I think I’m quite male-looking. Androgyny is different to non-binary, but I hate all these labels. I get mixed up.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lee Mead has signed a new ‘Holby City’ contract.
The 37-year-old actor – who has eight-year-old daughter Betsy with ex-wife Denise Van Outen – loves playing nurse Lofty Chiltern in the medical drama series and so he’s delighted to be staying on for a third year.
Speaking to BBC Radio 2 DJ Graham Norton, he said: “I’m still on screen – we shoot three months in advance, and I’ve just signed for a third year.
“I just love playing Lofty, he’s a great character. I’m really happy there. We’re filming at Elstree, so it’s one hour from home back in Southend, and I’ve just got more of a life balance, and I love playing the role as well.”
While he has a good “life balance”, Lee admitted the nature of the show’s storylines mean he often ends up with intense blocks of filming followed by a lengthy period of time off work.
He explained: “If you have a big storyline, you’re there five days a week, 12 hours a day, but you can have two, three, four weeks where you’re just off sat at home.”
While Lofty was written especially for Lee, he still insisted on auditioning for the role because he wanted to “assure” himself he was up to the challenge.
He recently revealed: “I still insisted on an audition, mainly because I wanted to assure myself I could do something like that. When I was in ‘Casualty’ the filming was in Cardiff but they do ‘Holby’ in Elstree, London, so that’s better for me in terms of getting back home.
“It can be quite intense, 12 hour days, if your character is involved in a main storyline, but I just love playing Lofty, he’s a great character.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Farrell thinks Tim Burton is a “very magical” filmmaker.
The 42-year-old actor spent a lot of his breaks filming ‘Dumbo’ sitting on the set and watching his director in action because he was so “engaged” with the filmmaking process.
Colin said: “Tim Burton is lovely. I loved working with him, I really did.
“I could watch him on a film set all day.
“I would often sit by Craft Services eating snacks and watch him work on the set, because he’s really engaged with the whole process of shooting a film.
“The way he moves is frenetic. He is a very magical dude.”
The ‘In Bruges’ star had wanted to work with Tim “for years” and was particularly excited when he heard about his live-action take on ‘Dumbo’, so sent an email to the director and was delighted to land an audition, and subsequently the part of amputee circus performer-turned-soldier Holt Farrier.
He told SciFiNow Magazine: “I’d wanted to work with Tim for years, so when I heard that he was going to direct ‘Dumbo’, I sent him an email.
“I have been a fan of all of his work and I have vocalised my love for his movies many times in the past.
“To hear that he was doing something that was as quintessentially as wondrous as ‘Dumbo’ was a great revelation to me.
“I had met Tim before, years ago, but we talked soon after I sent him that email and I was lucky enough to get flown to London and get on the set, which was extraordinary.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Feige has teased ‘Captain Marvel’ sequels could take place in the past.
The Marvel Studios boss admitted introducing alien shape-shifters the Skrulls in the movie was part of laying groundwork for their war with the Kree and so future movies could take place in the timeline between the events depicted in the latest movie and those in 2008’s ‘Iron Man’.
Asked why the Kree/Skrull war had been the backdrop to introducing Carol Danvers/ Captain Marvel – who is played by Brie Larson – Kevin said: “We wanted to give her her own corner of the universe, her own mythology. While we’re not specific about this in the movie, there’s potential to understand where has she been this whole time? Why haven’t we seen her yet? The answer is revealed and hinted at in this movie as she was dealing with a colossal, universal conflict in another section of the MCU…
“I mean, anything we haven’t done, anything from the books that we haven’t yet done in film is always on the table.”
Kevin thinks part of the “fun” of the MCU is the “gap” in time between stories and he’s looking forward to the future, when fans will watch the movies in chronological order, rather than release order.
He told Screen Rant: “I think the fun part about seeing this portion of the MCU is that gap. We’ve heard about some of it and ‘Winter Soldier’. The Robert Redford character talks about some timelines and we’ve mentioned some of those adventures.
“he potential is there and I just love the notion of someday people watching the Marvel Studios Films for the first time and maybe they’ll, you know, sometimes I like how people debate online, what’s the best order to watch them in. Is it release order? Is it chronologically, well, if they watch this movie before they watch ‘Iron Man’, when Nick Fury comes out in the tag and says, you’re not the only superhero in the world. They’ll go, no, he’s talking about her.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher will finish recording his new album on April 2.
The 46-year-old rocker is hard at work on the follow up to his 2017 solo debut ‘As You Were’, and has now said he’ll have finished his time in the studio by the beginning of next month.
When asked when the new material will be ready, the former Oasis star wrote on Twitter: “We finish recording on the 2nd of April now go spread the butter.”
And Liam also took the time to shut down fans requests for an Oasis reunion, as he branded his brother and rival Noel Gallagher as a “hipster”.
Asked if there was any chance of a truce with the ‘Holy Mountain’ singer, Liam wrote: “No I’ve heard he’s getting worse app he’s a HIPSTER
“Noel Gallagher the gift that keeps on giving wtfs that all about on soccer am as you were LG x (sic)”
Meanwhile, the ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker recently revealed his 17-year-old son Gene is set to appear on his dad’s new album as a bongo player.
Sharing a black and white studio snap of Gene playing percussion, Liam tweeted: “Gene laying down some bongos on my new tune as you were LG x (sic)”
And fans won’t have to wait too long for the album to be finished, as Liam previously claimed it would be out before September this year when he hit out at press speculation surrounding the record.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Prodigy have urged fans to “raise the roof” for Keith Flint’s funeral.
The ‘Firestarter’ singer took his own life aged 49 earlier this month and will be laid to rest on Friday (29.03.19).
And though the service will be private, the band have invited people wanting to “pay their final respects” to the musician by lining the procession route in Braintree, Essex.
Along with a map of the route, the band posted on Twitter: “Fans are invited to line the procession route, starting at 3pm in Braintree, Essex on Fri 29th March, to pay their final respects & ‘raise the roof’ for Keef!
“If anyone wishes to lay flowers or tributes these should be sent to St Mary’s church in Bocking, no later than 2pm Friday.”
While the church service will be for close friends and family only, fans will be able to listen to the funeral from outside the building.
They added in another post: “The church service will just be for family and close friends, but there will be speakers relaying the ceremony outside the church for everyone to hear.”
Keith’s bandmate, Liam Howlett, recently thanked fans for their kind messages and tributes that have been created in honour of his friend.
Sharing a picture of a memorial to the late singer in East London on the band’s official Instagram account, Liam wrote: “Thankyou people for all the tributes, they have really touched us and kept us going this week ,, This one is @ellwoodleo , brick lane London Town.
“Massive respect Liam H #theprodigy (sic)”
Liam, 47, previously told fans his friend had taken his own life.
He wrote on Instagram: “The news is true, I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend.
I’m shell shocked , f**kin angry , confused and heart broken ….. r.i.p brother Liam #theprodigy .”

OHMYGOSSIP — Brigitte Nielsen would love to have another baby.
The 55-year-old actress and her 40-year-old partner Mattia Dessi welcomed daughter Frida into the world nine months ago after spending 11 years trying to conceive through IVF.
Although Frida is a medical miracle, the ‘Creed II’ star would consider trying for another baby as Mattia would love to have a son.
Speaking on Italian TV show ‘Non è la D’Urso’, she said: “I might have another baby. It would be the sixth. Never say never. My husband Mattia is pressuring me for another baby. He loves our little princess but he’d also like to have a baby boy.
“Both of us always knew we wanted to have a baby together, a girl or a boy, it was the same. But deep in my heart I was hoping it was a baby girl. I already have four boys, so yes I hoped for a little princess.”
The ‘Cobra’ star – who also has grown up sons, Julian Winding, 34, Killian Marcus Nielsen, 29, Aaron Nielsen, 25, and 23-year-old Raoul Ayrton Meyer Jr – went on to say that her daughter is her main “joy” in life and although she is aware that some people want to criticise her decision to become a mother again in her 50s she knows she has done the right thing.
She said: “My little Frida is my joy. I decided to bring her on TV for the first time in Italy because although I live in LA, my heart is always in Italy and I wanted to show her to Italians.
“I tried to conceive for 11 years. It’s not been easy and not every woman would be ready to face what I experienced.
“I can take criticism. I understand what some people say. If, when I was 20, my mum said to me she was pregnant at 54, I’m not sure how I would have reacted.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba will know he’s been a success at Coachella if he comes off stage “proper sweaty”.
The ‘Mountain Between Us’ will make his US festival debut at the Californian event next month and he’s hoping his DJ set will receive a “rapturous roar” from the crowd.
Asked how he’ll know he’s been well-received at Coachella, he said: “During the last song [of each set], I normally pick up the mic and say, ‘Yo, thank you very much, you’ve been amazing!’ If I get a rapturous roar from the crowd and come offstage and my T shirt is proper sweaty, then I’ll know I did all right.”
Idris is best known for his film and TV work so he’s proud that he’s been invited to perform at Coachella on the strength of his DJing prowess.
He said: “As an actor, it hit the news that I’m playing Coachella, but I’m sure most people don’t know what I play: deep, techy house. I’m just excited to have been invited to one of the world’s best and largest music festivals. It’s a real nod to the work I’ve done as a DJ.”
The 46-year-old star loves making music because it keeps him “grounded” and he enjoys the fast pace.
He told Billboard magazine: “It’s one of those things that keeps me grounded. I’m not a multiplatinum artist.
“don’t necessarily do it for the financial benefits. I do it because I love it.
“I can make music on my phone, anytime, instantly. Making a film takes a long time – an average of 24 months between selling an idea and getting it onto the screen.
“I could make a tune today, put it on the internet by Friday and in two weeks it could be sitting on the charts. That’s amazing. It’s a different experience altogether.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Oprah Winfrey was told she was the “wrong colour” to be a news anchor early in her career.
The 65-year-old – who became North America’s first black billionaire in 2003 – has become one of television’s best known stars, but she has opened up about her shaky start in the industry before finding her calling on Baltimore TV show ‘People Are Talking’ in August 1978.
Writing in her new book ‘The Path Made Clear’, she said: “Up until then I’d been a news anchor and reporter. I was terrible. I knew it. My bosses knew it and certainly made no secret of their feelings.
“They told me I was the wrong colour, the wrong size and that I showed too much emotion. I never felt comfortable in my own skin. Even now, when I look back on the tapes, I can still hear the pretend anchor voice I used on air.”
However, her change of direction on WJZ-TV was the spark Oprah – who was just 24 when she moved up alongside Richard Sher on the talk show – needed to find her true passion.
She added: “But after one day on this local talk show I was energised in a way that fuelled every cell of my being.
“There was no doubt that the seeds of what was to give my life meaning and purpose had been planted. That day my job ended and my calling began.”
The star has opened up in the past about being axed from her role as an evening news reporter, before being given a position on a daytime TV show.
However, in her new book she has revealed her advice on looking for a path in life, and she conluded that while it’s natural “to be afraid”, it’s about taking a chance regardless.
She wrote: “The true meaning of courage is to be afraid – and then, with your knees knocking and your heart racing, take the leap anyway.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Perry’s daughter Sophie is missing him “a little extra” two weeks after his death.
The Riverdale’ star’s 18-year-old daughter has opened up about her late father – who tragically passed away two weeks ago aged 52 just days after suffering a stroke – and revealed she was thinking about him over the weekend in a moving Instagram post.
She simply wrote: “Miss him a little extra today.”
Luke was survived by Sophie, his son Jack Perry, 21, their mother – and his ex-wife – Rachel ‘Minnie’ Sharp, his fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, and other members of his family.
Sophie had returned home from a volunteering trip in Malawi, Africa to be by his side when Luke was hospitalised earlier this month.
Following her father’s death, the teenager heaped praise on her mother for being a “rock” during such a difficult time.
Posting on International Women’s Day (08.03.19), she wrote: “You all know my dad is a super star, but I just want to share for a moment that I got really f***ing lucky in the parental department because this is my mom.
“Minnie. Who also happens to be my best friend. Wow, how cliché, I know. And she is the rock for everybody grieving in this family right now. “She’s the toughest and sweetest and most amazing woman I or anyone else has ever met. How did I get so lucky to have two icons for parents?”
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that ‘Riverdale’ bosses are still working out the best way to honour the late actor.
While producers plan to address his death through his character, Fred Andrews, they haven’t yet figured out how they will do that because they are still in mourning for the star.
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “You know, honestly, we are I think all still in shock and are all still processing and grieving. We know that we have to address it in some way, but we’re giving ourselves a little bit of time and space before we figure out the best way to honour him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner insists she’s only told “two people” how ‘Game of Thrones’ will end.
The 23-year-old actress – who has played Sansa Stark on the show since its first series in 2011 – previously admitted she has revealed the HBO fantasy favourite’s conclusion to her fiance Joe Jonas, and now she has claimed she only shared the secret with one other person.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Weekly’ about fan backlash – after saying in January she had told “a few people” about the ending” – she clarified: “I was on Twitter and saw these headlines like ‘Twitter followers are being so mean to Sophie Turner after reports she told her friends the ending of ‘Game Of Thrones’.
“The truth is I’ve only told two people. It’s not that many. To be honest, I don’t read many of the mentions on Twitter because there’s normally quite a bit of hate. Everything I say will always have some negative reactions, so I’m not surprised.”
One of the two people Sophie told was 29-year-old singer Joe – who is a huge fan of the show – and she admitted he was “so mad” at her for spoiling the ending for him.
She recently said: “I’ve just told Joe [Jonas]. But he’s so mad at me – he loves the show! Well, I have to tell someone, otherwise I’ll burst.”
She isn’t the only person to have ruined the show for their loved ones, as her on-screen brother Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, recently revealed his wife Rose Leslie – who previously appeared on the show as his on-screen lover Ygritte, before departing in season four – refused to speak to him for “three days” after he told her key plot spoilers.
Kit said: “I told my wife last year how it ended, and she wouldn’t talk to me for about three days. And she’d asked!”
Rose later clarified his comments by insisting he spoiled the ending to the show’s seventh season, rather than the upcoming eighth and final one.

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik has thanked his fans for “love and thoughts” after he apologised for being a “s**t person”.
The 26-year-old star had posted a cryptic but public apology on Saturday (23.03.19) and although he later deleted the tweet without revealing the reason behind it, he has now taken to Twitter again to clarify he is “happy” despite the original post.
Writing on the social networking site the following day, he said: “Currently happy, could be happier. Thanks for all the love and thoughts yesterday just had a vent ha x (sic)”
In his original tweet, the former One Direction star wrote: “I’d like apologize for basically being a s**t person, (sic)”
Despite not giving any further information, Zayn’s comments come after his former band mate Louis Tomlinson recently revealed he fell out with Zayn when he refused to show up to support him when he performed on ‘The X Factor’ just days after the death of his mother Johannah Deakin in 2016.
Louis said: “Truthfully it never really got better to be honest. I had a couple of calls with him after I lost me mum and, you know, all the boys had agreed to come to that performance and he didn’t show and that really bugged me.”
Whilst the ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker was a no show at the event, Louis’ other band mates Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne all turned out to show their support, and Louis said their presence gave him the strength he “needed” to complete the emotional performance.
He added: “Everyone showed and it was a moment of … I got goosebumps there, and seeing Harry, Niall, and Liam, that was what I needed that night, that support.”
Meanwhile, Zayn’s tweet could also be directed at Gigi Hadid, as the pair – who have been in a relationship since November 2015 – have been on and off in their romance since they first split in March last year.
The ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ singer recently publicly tweeted his love for Gigi, but she did not respond to the message, sparking rumours they have split once again and he has been trying to win her back.

OHMYGOSSIP — North West will be shooting a dance routine with her young hero.
Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West’s eldest daughter will be appearing in an upcoming video with 15-year-old ‘Dance Moms’ star JoJo Siwa after North’s famous mum got in touch to set up the exciting project.
JoJo told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “It actually — Kim reached out to me and I just responded to it. So, me and Kim, we made some things happen together. We’re actually filming on Wednesday. Super excited about it.”
It will be a dream come true for North, five, and Kim has made no secret of how much her daughter loves the YouTube star.
In February, she tweeted that her daughter is “obsessed” with JoJo, and revealed how excited she was earlier in this month when the pair spoke to each other on FaceTime.
Kim wrote: “North just FaceTimed @itsjojosiwa and her life is made!!!!!! That was the cutest thing ever seeing North soooo excited! Especially when she saw her dog bowbow. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Kim and Kanye – who also have three-year-old Saint and 14-month-old Chicago together – are said to be “really excited” for the birth of their fourth child.
The couple are said to be hard at work getting their home ready for their new arrival, which will be their second to be born via surrogate mother after Chicago.

OHMYGOSSIP — Fleur East is engaged to Marcel Badiane-Robin after he proposed on a romantic trip.
The long term couple – who have been together for almost a decade – were on a dream holiday to Japan when the fashion designer popped the question and asked the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ star to marry him.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, she revealed: “I said yes immediately! How Marcel did everything was just wonderful.
“We’re in a really traditional Japanese hotel and there were petals on the bed and champagne – when we first got here I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, this hotel goes above and beyond!’
“Then I turned around and he was there, with the ring. He said: ‘Fleur East, will you be my wife?’ I couldn’t believe it. The ring is so beautiful and yellow is my favourite colour.”
Fleur added that her husband-to-be knew “exactly” how to make the proposal perfect for his future bride because of how long they have been in a relationship.
She said: “Me and Marcel have been together for nine years so we’ve spoken about marriage a lot, and he knew exactly what I wanted. It’s perfect. I cried instantly.”
Fleur – who rose to fame when she was runner up on ‘The X Factor’ in 2014 – admitted the pair will be looking to tie the knot as soon as possible.
While she “wasn’t surprised” when Marcel asked the big question, the singer was still “overwhelmed” by the special moment.
She explained: “Marcel is very romantic. He always has been, throughout our relationship, but he picks and chooses his moments. When he does go all out, he doesn’t spare anything. So I wasn’t surprised by the proposal – but at the same time I still feel overwhelmed by it.”

The 43-year-old retired baseball star got engaged to the ‘Shades of Blue’ actress earlier this month, and has now heaped praise on the beauty for her hard work, as she prepares to head to the set of her new movie project ‘Hustlers’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Alicia Silverstone led touching tributes to her late co-star Brittany Murphy during a ‘Clueless’ reunion.
The cast of the classic 1995 teen rom-com, Alicia, Paul Rudd, Breckin Meyer and Donald Faison, reunited for a panel at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo on Saturday (23.03.19), where they shared their fondest memories of the star, a decade after her tragic death at the age of 32, with Alicia revealing that she knew Brittany was “the one” for the part of Tai Frasier right away.
The 42-year-old actress – who portrayed Cher Horowitz – said: “I had to tell [writer/director] Amy [Heckerling] just in case she didn’t know that Brittany Murphy was the one that had to play the part.
“She was so good.”
She also gushed about Brittany – who died of pneumonia and anaemia in December 2009 – delivering “one of her favourite” lines in the film.
Alicia recalled: “I love when she says, ‘You’re a virgin who can’t drive.’
“It’s just one of my favourite moments of the whole movie. It’s just, her face scrunches up so good.”
Breckin Meyer, who portrayed Brittany’s on-screen love interest Travis Birkenstock, gushed about how versatile she was as an actress, referencing her role as Alex alongside Eminem’s Rabbit in ‘8 Mile’.
He added: “Ridiculously talented. Like, you see Tai, and then you watch ‘8 Mile’, and you’re like, ‘That’s the same person?'”
Whilst Paul Rudd – who played Josh – said: “She was a sweet person, too. She was … she was just always so smiley. And sweet.”
Donald Faison (Murray) added: “She could sing, she could dance.”
After the reunion, Alicia posted a selfie with her co-stars and one with Paul on Instagram.
Gushing about the ‘Ant-Man’ star, she wrote: “Such a sweet reunion last night at dinner with my pal #PaulRudd. I love this guy! I mean he ordered vegan for both of us….. Swoon One more day to go at #c2e2, hope to see u tomorrow! (sic)”
Alicia admitted Paul, Breckin and Donald had her “laughing so hard” at the Expo.
The other snap was captioned: “So much fun hanging out with these boys today #paulrudd @donald_aison and @breckinmeyer! They had me laughing so hard on our panel. Such a great day at #c2e2 (sic)”
