OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Emma Thompson has defended her decision to wear trainers when she received her damehood at Buckingham Palace.
Earlier this year, the 59-year-old actress was named in the Queen’s birthday honours for her services to drama, and went to the royal residence to collect the accolade from the Duke of Cambridge and the ‘Nanny McPhee’ star decided to don a fitted blue pantsuit paired with a pair of white sneakers.
The star’s casual footwear sent Twitter into a frenzy and Emma received hoards of criticism, with users claiming she disrespected royal protocol – but the ‘Love Actually’ actress insisted the shoes were “posh” and admitted she was unaware of the huge backlash she caused.
Speaking on the ‘My Dad Wrote a Porno’ podcast, of the Stella McCartney $325 Stan Smith vegan style shoes, she said: “They were posh trainers.
“Of course you have to understand as well as not listening to any f***ing podcast ever, well yours obviously, but mostly not.
“I don’t do social media so I have no idea when they say ‘Oh my god you caused a stir.’ I go, ‘Why?’ ”
This isn’t the first time Emma has been in hot water thanks to her clothing choices as she revealed she got into “terrible trouble” one year for wearing jeans to Cannes Film Festival.
She said:”I got into terrible trouble wearing jeans to Cannes once, I was wearing a very sparkly top look if you’re wearing a sparkly top it doesn’t matter what you’re wearing underneath it.
“Their fashion police went, ‘Oh my god! What is she doing? She is destroying the whole Cannes experience! Everyone is coming to see the beautiful Cannes actresses all dressed up looking gorgeous and look what she is doing, she’s wrecking the whole thing!'”

Corrie’s Faye Brookes teases marriage for Kate and Rana

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Brookes says marrying Rana Nazir will be “a dream come true” for Kate Connor.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor has opened up on the lesbian lovers’ relationship, and said her alter ego Kate will be “marrying the girl of her dreams” when the on-screen couple walked down the aisle one day.
Asked what their wedding day would be like, Faye said: “Because Rana has been married before, she’s slightly reserved, whereas Kate would be the opposite.
“This is the first time for her and she knows she’s going to be marrying the woman of her dreams.
“She wants the perfect dress, she can’t wait for her Dad to walk her down the aisle. It’s a dream come true for Kate, so I think she’s more excited than Rana.”
Although Kate and Rana (Bhavna Limbachia) recently got engaged on the ITV show, disagreements on raising a child together mean there will be tension.
However, Faye is certain the couple – who fans have affectionately dubbed Kana – are simply meant to be.
She’s quoted by RadioTimes.com as saying: “They’ve spent so much time apart that love is now in the air completely. They are just infatuated with each other and can’t wait to start making plans for the future.”
Meanwhile, her co-star Bhavna recently admitted the actresses have grown so close thanks to the storyline that they feel “like a real couple”.
She previously revealed: “I work a lot with Faye. Sometimes we’re like a real couple.
“The most important thing is to let yourself really go to those emotional places. Sometimes when the director shouts ‘cut’ we just stand there and hug for a bit.
“We’ve both come on this journey together, and it’s been really lovely.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sara Sampaio has “really sensitive” skin.
The 27-year-old model begins her bedtime routine by removing her make-up with two products – a Sephora waterproof remover followed by a Rose and Chamomile Cleansing Milk from The Organic Pharmacy – and the Brazilian beauty admitted she has to be careful about what she uses because she can react to certain products.
Speaking in a video for Harper’s Bazaar, she said: “I actually use two products to remove my make-up I have really sensitive skin.
“I really love this product [Sephora cleanser] because it really just takes out everything, now I’m using the Organic Pharmacy the Rose and Chamomile Cleansing Milk this one is great even if you’re not wearing any make-up to just do it at night
“I like to use a pad because it’s more gentle because a towel is a bit rough I do believe that less is more and just keep it clean.”
The Victoria’s Secret Angel then showers and washes her hair with Moroccan Rose Oil Shampoo and Conditioner because she “hates going to bed dirty” and likes to remove all he product from the day so her skin doesn’t break out.
She said: “I always love showering at night because I hate going to bed dirty and usually if I’ve been working I have product in my hair and it goes in the pillow and then to your skin and then you start breaking out so I always like to go to bed clean.”
Sara then brushes her teeth with a no fluoride and no SLS toothpaste and uses a 111 skin rose gold brightening facial mask.
She said: “I’ve been travelling a lot so my skin feels very dry and dull so I’m gonna use this 111 Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Mask it just kind of makes you look alive again – you just feel a different person.”

Emmerdale: Graham Foster ‘on the brink’ over Joe Tate’s disappearance

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Scarborough reveals Graham Foster is “on the brink” after Joe Tate’s disappearance.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor has opened up on how the former soldier is coping after the apparent death of Ned Porteous’ character, and how the guilt is consuming him after driving him to drink.
He told RadioTimes.com: “Graham is distraught and bereft without Joe, he misses him terribly.
“He’s very lonely and is drinking too much… Graham is on the brink of exploding and wants to tell Debbie everything, but he doesn’t. He’s drinking and finding it increasingly difficult to keep a lid on it, but knows he must.
“What he does say is that Debbie’s dad Cain knows more than she realises. It’s Graham’s way of deflecting and transferring – he wants someone else to feel what he’s feeling.”
Cain – played by Jeff Hordley – believes he is responsible for killing Joe, who he punched to the ground for jilting daughter Debbie (Charley Webb) at the alter.
However, viewers discovered he was still alive after hitting his head on a rock, when Graham – who was told to kill him by employer and ex-lover Kim Tate (Claire King) – put him into his car boot to dispose of the body.
It’s not been revealed whether he actually finished the job or let him run free, and Andrew has admitted he’d love Joe to make a shock return to Home Farm.
He added: “That would be wonderful! Graham treated Joe like his own son, and I don’t think Graham would be able to kill him…”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner has collaborated with Louis Vuitton to design a friendship bracelet.
The 22-year-old actress teamed up with the luxury fashion house to create an accessory for the label’s partnership with UNICEF and the ‘Game of Thrones’ star wanted her bracelet to “integrate the idea of luck and also inclusion of many countries and cultures.”
Sharing a photo of herself wearing the chunky red and white bracelet, she wrote: “On #WorldChildrensDay it’s exciting for me to announce my collaboration with #LVforUNICEF to design a friendship bracelet. I want to explain the significance of the colours and also the charm that I designed.
“As we know, LV is known for being a brand all about travel and so the brands identity itself is important when collaborating with a charity that is prevalent all over the world. It’s all about bringing people together.
“I wanted my bracelet to hold luck for all the children whom the proceeds from this bracelet go to. So I wanted to integrate the idea of luck and also inclusion of many countries and cultures. (sic)”
The ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ actress went on to explain that she chose the colours and the small rabbit charm on the accessory as the symbol connected several cultures.
She said: “I wanted to have the braids made of two colours; red and white. Red is considered a lucky colour in China.
“And the white coincides with my idea for having the little circular charm on the bracelet, a rabbit. A. Because WHITE rabbits are considered very lucky in the UK and a rabbit foot is considered lucky in many parts of Europe, China, Africa, North and South America.
“It also has a little bit of me on there because I have the same rabbit designed tattooed on my arm by @curtmontgomerytattoos #MAKEAPROMISE” (sic)

Jay Chou cast in xXx 4

OHMYGOSSIP — Jay Chou has joined the cast of ‘xXx 4’.
The 39-year-old actor-and-singer – who played Kato in 2011 film ‘The Green Hornet’ – will appear alongside Vin Diesel in the action sequel, which is being directed by D.J. Caruso.
Chinese actress Zoe Zhang is also part of the cast which sees Diesel return as special agent Xander Cage
It also hoped that Chou could provide music for the film’s soundtrack as he previously contributed songs to ‘The Green Hornet’, ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ and ‘Now You See Me 2’.
It is Diesel’s third outing as Cage as he did not appear in the second movie ‘xXx: State of the Union’ and was replaced by Ice Cube as lead character Darius Stone.
Diesel has a slew of films coming out, he voices a character in new Disney animation ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’, stars in ‘Bloodshot’ and also reprises his role as Groot in the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War’.
The 51-year-old star plays titular super soldier Bloodshot in the Sony Pictures adaptation of the Valiant comic book series.
He has been reunited with ‘Fast and the Furious’ producer Neal H. Moritz on the project which is due to hit cinema screens in February 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Reese Witherspoon has given Ariana Grande her seal of approval for re-enacting scenes from ‘Legally Blonde’ in her ‘thank u, next’ music video.
The ‘God is a Woman’ hitmaker has been teasing fans with pictures of polaroids from the set of the promo for her latest single, including one of with actress Jennifer Coolidge, Elle Woods’ (Reese) friend and nail technician Paulette in the rom-com movies.
Alongside the photo, Ariana wrote on Instagram: “new best friend …. thank u, next (sic)”
The 25-year-old pop star also shared one of her standing in front of an old school Apple computer in a nod to Elle’s in the movie, and quoted the line: “whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed (sic)”
And it soon got the attention of the 42-year-old actress – who portrayed the pink-loving blonde Harvard student-turned-lawyer in both the 2001 film and 2003 sequel, ‘Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde’ – who replied on Twitter with the line: “Also … 2 weeks ago I saw Cameron Diaz at Fred Segal and I talked her out of buying a truly heinous angora sweater! (sic)”
The ‘Big Little Lies’ star also shared the image on her Instagram Story and wrote: “Serious Legally Blonde Vibes (sic)”
Ariana has even got her dog Toulouse involved to play Elle’s gay Chihuahua, Bruiser Woods.
It’s not just ‘Legally Blonde’ Ariana is going to pay homage to in the forthcoming video.
The ‘Dangerous Woman’ hitmaker shared a storyboard for the promo, which showed photos of herself alongside scenes from the rom-coms she has been influenced by, including ‘Mean Girls’ – which the song’s artwork is a nod to as it is designed like the infamous Burn Book in the 2003 Lindsay Lohan-starring teen flick – and Jennifer Garner in ’13 Going on 30′.
Ariana also teased that there is a fourth movie she is taking inspiration from, writing: “Ok you guessed the third! but there is still one more so no tea tomorrow (sic)”, in her Instagram Story.
‘thank u, next’ is about the singer’s ex-boyfriends, including former fiance Pete Davidson, the late rapper Mac Miller and back-up dancer Ricky Alvarez.

Alexander Skarsgard didn’t have a home for two years

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexander Skarsgard didn’t have a home for two years until recently.
The ‘Big Little Lies’ star – whose abusive character Perry Wright was killed off in the first season of the award-winning HBO series – has revealed his frantic working schedule, which includes his most recent stint in ‘The Little Drummer Girl’, meant he travelled to and from jobs and lived on location, until he finally purchased a place in New York, “a few months ago”.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “I’ve just been living on location, jumping from one project to another.
“I actually got an apartment in New York a few months ago. That was the first time in two years I had my own bed.”
It was presumed that the 42-year-old actor’s alter ego wouldn’t feature in the second season of ‘Big Little Lies’, but after eagle-eyed fans spotted him on set, it has been rumoured that Perry could come back in some form.
However, Alexander isn’t willing to spill any details.
He coyly replied: “Well, my character is definitely dead. “I can’t say any more.”
Meanwhile, the former ‘True Blood’ star – whose father is Hollywood legend Stellan Skarsgard – recently admitted
he often feels like his job is “trivial”.
Alexander – who has four brothers and a sister – has a brother who works as a doctor in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and the ‘Hold the Dark’ star said watching his sibling work hard to save lives can sometimes make his own job seem insignificant in comparison.
He said: “There are definitely moments when I feel that what I am doing is trivial. One of my brothers is an ICU doctor, and when I’m in Sweden he’ll come home having been up for 18 hours literally saving lives, and I’m on the couch working on a script saying, ‘I’m not really feeling this love scene.'”

Millie Bobby Brown addresses Stranger Things future

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Bobby Brown has hinted ‘Stranger Things’ could get a fourth season.
The 14-year-old actress – who plays Eleven in the Netflix series – got fans worried when she shared a picture of her hugging and saying “goodbye” to her co-star Sadie Sink (Max) on Instagram on the final day of shooting season three.
However, she has since clarified that she just gets “very emotional” and finds it hard to say goodbye to her co-stars, so that doesn’t necessarily mean the programme will come to an end after the next instalment.
Appearing on ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’, she said: “[It was] on the last day of the season, not the show.
“I’m just a very emotional person. When it comes to my closest people, like, I’m not good at goodbyes,” she added. “Everyone knows that… it gives me serious sadness and anxiety.”
In the original snap posted on November 13, she had written: “As we said goodbye, i gave my best friend the biggest hug and told her i loved her so much. My sister forever @sadiesink_. (sic)”
David Harbour – who plays Jim Hopper – recently revealed filming was complete on the next season.
He wrote on Instagram two weeks ago: “Wrapped. Everyone say ‘goodbye mustache’. If you need any info on what’s good in Hawkins while I’m away, give Gary a call.
“He can’t keep his damn mouth shut. #spoilerswithoutcontext#awfullogos #facecaterpillar #bestjobever#fletch #speilbergeatyourheartout. (sic)”
Whilst producers The Duffer Brothers previously teased it will be the “grossest” season yet, and that they have been inspired by the sci-fi horror movie ‘The Thing’, which starred Kurt Russell as MacReady, and followed a research team in Antartica as they are hunted by a shape-shifting alien.
Canadian filmmakers David Cronenberg and George Romero were also a major influence.
Ross Duffer said: “While it’s our most fun season, it also turns out to be our grossest season,.. “We’re inspired by John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’. We’re inspired by Cronenberg.
“We have a little bit of a George Romero vibe in there as well. There are horror movies and horror masters that we haven’t really paid tribute to as much in previous seasons that we are definitely going to get into this season.”
Season three of ‘Stranger Things’ is due to air on Netflix in 2019.

Brad Pitt wants law suit removal

OHMYGOSSIP — Brad Pitt is attempting to be removed from a lawsuit filed against him and his Make It Right Foundation.
The ‘World War Z’ star and his charity have been subjected to a class action lawsuit from homeowners in New Orleans, who alleged the organisation sold affordable but “defectively and improperly constructed homes” to residents seeking shelter in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
However, because Brad allegedly had no involvement in building the supposedly damaged abodes – which are said to have mould, rotten wood and ventilation issues – his legal team are asking for his name to be dropped from the lawsuit.
They noted: “The petition contains no allegations that Mr. Pitt committed any act or omission, other than in his capacity as a Director, which allegedly caused plaintiffs emotional distress, much less a physical injury.”
It was previously claimed the 54-year-old actor had donated millions of his own money to try and fix the problems with the buildings.
A source previously said: “Brad’s been working on this for around a year. Once he knew that there were things that were not up to the standards that he and others would expect, he addressed it — it’s not like he waited for the complaint to be made before doing something about it.”
Brad and designer William McDonough founded Make It Right in 2006, a year after the hurricane struck the region.
The ‘Moneyball’ star is currently gearing up for another legal battle as he and Angelina Jolie will go to trial over the custody of their six children, Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, next month.
The couple split in September 2016 when the ‘Maleficent’ actress accused Brad of being abusive towards Maddox on a private plane, and insiders believe the 43-year-old star plans to use the incident as grounds for her receiving full custody.
However, the ‘Burn After Reading’ star and his legal team are not worried because he was never charged with any offence and the upcoming trial is not a criminal matter.
Evaluations for the children have already begun, and the judge will rely heavily on their findings in his ruling over custody.
Financial disputes will be resolved separately.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian has admitted Tristan Thompson has found recent episodes of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ “awkward”.
The basketball player was accused of being unfaithful to his girlfriend Khloe Kardashian just days before their daughter True was born in April, and the resulting scandal is currently being played out on the family reality show.
While the ‘Revenge Body’ host and her family are used to seeing their lives replayed on screen and using it as “therapy”, Khloe’s older sister admitted it’s been difficult for Tristan.
Kim said: “It is awkward, especially for maybe Tristan, who isn’t used to this. Unfortunately, that’s what was going on in our lives, so six months later, when it replays and they’ve gotten through what they needed to get through, it’s rehashed in front of everyone and everyone’s giving their opinions all over again.
“So that is hard for Khloé and I’m sure for Tristan, but it’s our reality, and we’ve learned to kind of use it as a therapy, just to kind of get it out one last time with everyone else.”
But the 38-year-old star – who has children North, five, Saint, two, and Chicago, eight months, with husband Kanye West – explained to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that the family help one another through the tough episodes in various ways, such as live tweeting to take the pressure off “really brave” Khloe.
And they are always upfront with one another and stand by their actions on the programme.
She added: “We all do edit the show, but there’s nothing really that we’ve taken out. So we will let everyone watch and be like, ‘Okay, this is what I said about you, and this is how I feel about you or felt about you.’ It is what it is.”

Natalie Dormer split from fiance Anthony Byrne

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Dormer has reportedly split from her fiance after 11 years together.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress seems to have called time on her relationship with writer-and-director Anthony Byrne – whom she met on the set of ‘The Tudors’ – after promoting new thriller ‘In Darkness’ together.
In an interview with the star, the New Statesman newspaper has written: “The two met on the set of The Tudors; they’ve parted ways since promoting the film this summer.”
Although Natalie is yet to directly comment on the break-up, it comes months after she admitted it was difficult writing and producing the movie as a duo.
She previously said: “Couples say terrible things to each other that you would never say to your best friend. We learned very quickly that we couldn’t write in the same room.
“Doors got slammed at various points and I wouldn’t necessarily rush into writing with Anthony again, but I have huge respect for him.”
Natalie has also opened up about how she had tried to be more “disciplined” about setting aside for Anthony, which had proved difficult due to her hectic career.
She admitted: “[It means] boxing off time to see each other and being a bit disciplined about it. It’s tough, as an actor – you find yourself being flown to far corners of the earth – but that’s where technology is the saviour.
“Thank God for WhatsApp and FaceTime! And you know what they say: absence makes the heart grow fonder.”
Indeed, the 36-year-old star previously admitted despite getting engaged in 2011, professional commitments had stalled any wedding plans.
Speaking in 2013, she said: “We are still very much engaged. We’ve just been so busy that we haven’t managed to get around to planning it.
“It won’t be a big one… We were thinking of around 40-odd guests.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Brookes has hinted things will take a turn for the worst for Kana when Kate Connor goes behind her fiancee Rana Nazir’s back in her bid to have a baby.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star plays lesbian lover Kate who is loved-up with Rana (Bhavna Limbachia) – dubbed Kana by soap super-fans – on the ITV show, and now the telly actress has revealed she will call on Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) to help make her dreams of becoming a mother come true, but won’t tell Rana.
Kate said: “I think it just puts a spanner in the works for Kate. She is really determined. If it can’t be a stranger, she thinks well let’s search elsewhere, maybe it doesn’t have to be far from home.
“Kate has so many options spinning around her head, whilst at work she thinks adoption could be another option. Whilst Rana is at work Kate storms into the medical centre and drops this bombshell that they’ll adopt.
“Everything Kate says is all to do with babies. Kate’s gone crazy over this baby idea, she feels the need to fill the void.
“Robert lets his guard down with Kate and he confides in her that he’s always wanted to be a Dad. That’s when the penny drops for Kate and she thinks Robert could be the answer to everything.
“So, with some dutch courage she asks Robert to father her and Rana’s child.”
Robert was previously told by his partner Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) that she didn’t want to have any more children and crushed his dreams of becoming a father.
However, Kate’s drunken proposition to Robert has meant that the duo will both end up “happy”, even if Rana isn’t told “anything”.
Kate added: “I don’t think it’s going to be good, but Kate doesn’t want to tell Rana anything. She wants to figure it all out until it’s a perfect plan.
“Everything is going to be sorted out, a contract drawn up, Robert signing that contract, knowing that everyone is going to be happy. Kate wants this perfect plan and then she’ll be happy, but who knows if that’s going to happen.
“Kate will go the whole way with no turning back. I think throughout this whole process she is seeing something that is going to make her happy and I don’t think she realises that Rana is what will make her happy.
“She becomes blinded by this baby idea and this infatuation with filling that void and that is everything to her. Kate will stop at no costs.”

Duchess Meghan was reunited with Grenfell charity cookbook women

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Meghan enjoyed a group cooking session on Wednesday (21.11.18).
The 37-year-old royal – who is expecting her first child with husband Prince Harry – paid a visit to the Hubb Community Kitchen in London, where she reunited with the women who helped work on her charity cook book in order to see how the funds raised from the tome have made a difference to the local community.
The ‘Together: Our Community Cookbook’ was created after a group of women who had lost their homes due to the Grenfell Tower fire last year gathered at the Al Manaar community centre and used the kitchen to prepare meals for their friends, families and neighbours.
The Duchess of Sussex saw how the kitchen had been completely redesigned and re-fitted with creative input from the women, and was quick to get involved in the cooking session, helping prepare a large healthy dish.
Meghan – who was known Meghan Markle before she married Harry in May – moved over to the UK from the US when she got engaged to the flame-haired hunk last year and is so in love with her new home after witnessing how the city came together after the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower.
Speaking at the launch of the charity cookbook – created to help those affected blaze, which killed 72 people and injured hundreds when it ripped through a 24-storey block of flats in Kensington, West London, last June – she said: “I had just recently moved to London and I felt so immediately embraced by the women in the kitchen, the warmth and your kindness and also to be able in this city and to see in this one small room how multi-cultural it was. On a personal level, I feel so proud to live in a city that can have so much diversity. It’s pretty outstanding.”

Kanye West donates $500k to California wildfire relief

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West will reportedly donate $500,000 towards the California wildfire relief.
The 41-year-old rapper is said to have gone to Adidas and his own Yeezy brand to rise funds to support people who have battled the devastating blaze.
As reported by TMZ, the star’s wife Kim Kardashian West will appear on Wednesday’s episode (21.11.18) of Ellen DeGeneres’ show, and a member of the audience has revealed details of Kanye’s generosity.
The source said the superstar couple have had a serious discussion about easing the burden of firefighters, and Kim revealed her man came up with a plan.
The insider noted that during filming for the episode, the reality TV star presented $200,000 cheques to both the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund and the California Fire Foundation.
It’s said she also gave $100,000 to firefighter Michael Williams and his wife, after he lost his own home but continued to save those of his neighbours.
The news comes days after Kanye revealed he has plans to build a fire-proof community.
And Kim’s mum Kris Jenner recently urged her fans to donated to the California Fire Foundations to help those who have been battling the fire.
In a series of tweets, she wrote: “We spent yesterday evacuating our homes and I want to take a moment to thank all of the incredibly brave firefighters, servicemen, first responders, volunteers and all of those who are working tirelessly to protect our lives and our homes.
“We are so appreciative of your bravery and everything you’re doing for us. I’m praying for everyone’s safety. #thankful #gratitude #woolseyfire (sic)”
Kris then asked her followers to show their support for the foundation, which she has already donated to.
She said: “Please pray for those affected by the fires and to those who are fighting to keep everyone safe! Join me in donating to the CA Fire Foundation to help the firefighters who are working to rescue people and battle the fires. Donate today to @CAFireFound at (sic)”
Kris’ daughter Kourtney Kardashian has also donated to the foundation and has encouraged her Twitter followers to do the same.
She wrote on the micro-blogging platform: “Thankful for the @CAFirefighters risking their lives and getting people to safety during these horrendous wildfires. Show your support and donate to @CAFireFound at http://cafirefoundation.org #CampFire #HillFire #WoolseyFire (sic)”

Michael B Jordan got ‘really angry’ when hungry

OHMYGOSSIP — Tessa Thompson claims Michael B. Jordan got “really angry” when he was hungry on the set of ‘Creed II’.
The 35-year-old actress insists it was understandable that her co-star got “really irritable” during filming because he was pushing himself so hard to stay in shape to play boxer Adonis Creed.
She said: “I’m sure a lot of people can relate to this, but he’s really irritable when he hasn’t eaten. He gets really angry. It’s not just sort of like, ‘Okay, get him a sandwich.’
” I think it might have also been exacerbated by – when he’s training, there’s certain days where he wouldn’t drink water all day and he was going through very intense training. So he was allowed some irritable days.”
But the 31-year-old actor also enjoyed “cheat days” on occasions and Tessa was very impressed with the extent that he could “gorge” himself on a variety of “junk cuisine”.
She told Elle.com: “When he’s having a cheat day, he really goes in and it feels like being at a college dorm room, but a really nice one, where the kid has a lot of money, because he just has everything from Chinese food to pizza.
“Every kind of junk cuisine he’d want. He’s in basketball shorts just gorging himself.
“But he only had a couple of those days, so he’s allowed.”
Tessa plays Bianca, the wife of Michael’s character and she was pleased her concerns that her character would be depicted as the “dutiful” spouse were tackled head-on in the film by director Steven Caple Jr.
She said: “I had some measure of hesitation when I knew that she was going to be pregnant, and some worry that she might end up being the dutiful wife.
“I expressed those concerns to Steven Caple Jr, our fantastic director, and those concerns made it into the movie – when she says to him, ‘I’m not gonna be this barefoot wife making you sandwiches.’ That was literally something I expressed to Mike and to Steven and they were like, ‘Let’s put it in the movie.’ ”
