Ruby Allen will be supported by Linda Carter and Whitney Dean

OHMYGOSSIP — Louisa Lytton reveals Linda Carter and Whitney Dean will support Ruby Allen after she was raped.
The ‘EastEnders’ star’s alter ego is in a dark place after she was sexually assaulted by Ross Swinden (Ossian Luke) and Matt Clarkson (Mitchell Hunt), and the Queen Vic land lady will have people to help.
She told Metro.co.uk: “Obviously she has [Stacey Fowler (Lacey Turner)] who has been through the same thing.
“But there are nice scenes with Kellie Bright and with Shona McGarty as Linda and Whitney are women who have had similar experiences. It’s nice to show women supporting women.”
An upcoming episode of the BBC soap will be set entirely in the pub, with various characters giving their viewers on sexual assault and consent.
Louisa added: “What happens at the end of the big episode is that she exposes that it is her who has been raped.
“Following on from that, she is quite worried about the different opinions and that people wouldn’t believe her.
“Going forward, she kind of comes in and out of being strong and facing it and hiding away in her house thinking ‘what have I done?’ She goes through many different emotions as the weeks go on.”
On Monday’s (26.11.18) episode, Ruby will be told Ross Swinden (Ossian Luke) and Matt Clarkson (Mitchell Hunt) have been charged with rape after she reported having non-consensual sex with them.
But Ruby looks set to develop a romantic interest in Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) when he comforts her after the sexual assault makes front page news.

Suggs slams Spice Girls

OHMYGOSSIP — Suggs has slammed Spice Girls for their vocals at the 2012 Olympic closing ceremony.
The Madness star has recalled the moment he heard the iconic girl group – who are reuniting as a four piece for a UK stadium tour in 2019 – going through their warm-ups for their initial comeback six years ago.
Speaking at the Nordoff Robbins Boxing Dinner earlier this week, he’s quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column as saying: “I was on the back of this truck.
“In front of me are The Who. To my right are some spotty herberts called One Direction. Behind us are the Spice Girls doing some vocal warm ups… F***ing hell.
“Pete Townshend turns around and says, ‘Someone throw them a f***ing fish.’ ”
His comments come just weeks after the ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers announced plans for a reunion, although Victoria Beckham won’t be joining former bandmates Mel C, Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton for the tour.
And while ‘It Must Be Love’ singer Suggs won’t be clamouring for tickets for the shows, Little Mix have revealed they would be delighted to join their heroes on the road.
Jesy Nelson recently said they’d “love to”, whilst Leigh-Anne Pinnock added: “It has to happen.”
All four of the ‘Power’ singers – who won UK talent show ‘The X Factor’ in 2011 – were inspired by the Spice Girls, and Jesy says they all love how empowering the ‘Spice Up Your Life’ singers are.
She said: “We loved that they were all about girl power and never held back. It was great how they didn’t give a s**t.
“They said what they wanted and made people feel good about themselves, we really aspire to be like that. It’s brilliant they’ve come back.”

Taraji P. Henson fulfils ‘bucket list’ wish on Ralph Breaks the Internet

OHMYGOSSIP — Taraji P. Henson says it was a “no-brainer” to accept a role in new Disney animated movie ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’.
The 48-year-old Hollywood actress voices the algorithm Yesss – who is responsible for determining the trending videos on Buzz Video – in the sequel to 2012’s ‘Wreck It Ralph’ – and she instantly knew she wanted to be part of the project because being in a Disney film was on her “bucket list”.
Speaking at a press conference in Los Angeles, Taraji said: “Voicing a character in a Disney animated film? I can check that off the bucket list, thank you. I just thought she was incredible. When Rich [Moore] and Phil [Johnston] brought her to me and explained her, I was like, ‘This is a no-brainer.’ She’s a go-getter. She’s the head of a company. She’s no-nonsense. She has heart. My favourite scene is when Ralph finds himself in the comment room, and she comes in and tells him, ‘It’s not you, it’s them. They’re mean. They’re hurt, so they’re hurting you.’ It grounded the film and the character for me, and it made her multi-dimensional. And then, I got to voice her with amazing actors. It was just a no-brainer for me.”
‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ sees John C. Reilly return as the titular character, Sarah Silverman back as Vanellope von Schweetz and Jack McBrayer reprising his part as Fix-It Felix Jr.
Speaking about the plot of the new movie, Moore – who co-directs with Johnston – added: “This time, Ralph’s wrecking wreaks havoc on the Web – as only he can do. Characters we loved in the first film are back and we are ecstatic to be working with them – and the actors who voice them – once again.”

ITV to air documentary on The Ritz

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV are going behind-the-scenes of The Ritz hotel for a new documentary.
The luxury five-star London establishment boasts rooms that cost over £5,000 a night and has counted the likes of Queen Elizabeth, Charlie Chaplin, Noel Coward, Sir Roger Moore and Kate Moss among its most famous guests over the years, and now viewers will get to see just what it takes to run the high-end establishment in a new show.
‘The Ritz’ will explore the life and work of the 400 members of staff, as well as guests at the hotel when it airs early next year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “On the surface it’s a simply jaw-dropping hotel which is legendary the world over.
“But behind the scenes, it’s a hotbed of trials, divas and daily toil for the Ritz team, who all work hard to ensure they maintain its global reputation.
“Cameras are going to follow every twist and turn and give viewers a real insight into all these characters that keep the five-star establishment ticking along.”
The Ritz was opened by Swiss hotelier Cesar Ritz in London in 1906.
It famously featured in a number of scenes in 1999 romantic comedy ‘Notting Hill’ which starred Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, as well as the final episode of ‘Downton Abbey’.
Laura Carmichael, who played Lady Edith Crawley, and Samantha Bond, who was Lady Rosamund Painswick, shot the period drama’s last ever scene in an overnight shoot at The Ritz Restaurant, with the cast and crew all dressed in 1920s costumes to mark the occasion.

‘Strange’ star Nicole Kidman

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman likes working with eccentric directors because she is a bit “strange”.
The 51-year-old Oscar winner enjoys making movies with filmmakers who challenge her and she admits Lars von Trier was probably the most unusual director she has collaborated with because everything he did was unconventional, including the way he even entered rooms.
In an interview with Variety, Kidman – who made 2003’s revenge tragedy ‘Dogville’ with the Danish artist – said: “I’m strange. So what other people go is totally strange, I don’t find strange. I was sitting there, and Lars was literally at the window of the hotel, outside. And then he’s climbing in. That’s sort of weird. And then driving around in his camper van, because he doesn’t fly. Or hiking in the forest in the dead of winter in the snow, and that’s rehearsal.”
Kidman has starred in a variety of different genres of movies such as war drama ‘Cold Mountain’, murderous thriller ‘Dead Calm’, musical extravaganza ‘Moulin Rouge! and very soon superhero blockbuster as she plays Queen Atlanna in the upcoming DC Extended Universe blockbuster ‘Aquaman’.
The Australian actress – who can currently be seen as the Baptist mother of a teenage boy who is forced into gay conversion therapy in ‘Boy Erased’ – has always prided herself on never following a rule book when it comes to the roles she tales on.
She explained: “Could you ever plan this? This is a completely free-fall career. I think there’s only a handful of actors that can choose their whole career, every job. If you’re in it for the long run, you want to work and you want to act and you want to connect and tell stories. That’s going to lead you on many different paths. That’s how I’ve approached it. Now that I’m older, time is more precious. There isn’t an endless amount of time.”

Great British Bake Off brands BBC bullies

OHMYGOSSIP — The creator of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ claims the show “would have died” if it hadn’t moved to Channel 4.
The popular baking contest spent seven years on the BBC before changing broadcasters in 2006 and Richard McKerrow has accused network executives of “bullying” production company Love Productions.
Speaking at Leeds Trinity University, he said: “I say we simply did it to protect the format. We took it to the one place which would protect the format, Channel 4, which is another public service broadcaster.
“It kept it free to air and I trusted them and knew they would look after it.”
Richard claims his relationship with the BBC started to “deteriorate” due to tension over the broadcaster’s in-house shows ‘Hair’ and ‘The Big Painting Challenge’ because Love Productions felt they were similar to the ‘GBBO’ format and hit out at the “arrogance” of the network.
He said of the 2015 series: “By now we had security and god knows what else yet we were paid three quarters of the amount we got for the first series. ‘I think that unfortunately broadcasters bully independent producers and the BBC is the biggest bully of all and I don’t think that is healthy for the industry. I felt bullied.
“There’s an arrogance that the BBC has that is not good for the industry.”
He also felt his relationship with judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry and hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins was “undermined” by the BBC.
He added: “It was increasingly dysfunctional.”
When the programme moved to Channel 4, only Paul opted too stay on and though Richard admitted it was “difficult”, he and his team knew the true “talents” on the show are the contestants.
He said: “We would have liked all of the talent to come with us. It was very difficult. But we also knew in our heart what we say about the show, love the bakers, love the baking. They are the talent which isn’t to say Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry and Prue Leith aren’t brilliant and fantastic at what they do.”
And the producer enlisted his eight-year-old daughter to help choose Mary’s replacement, and was surprised when she chose Prue Leith.
He said: “I thought she was going to choose the young blonde judge but she said she was trying too hard, ‘but Prue Leith is really good, she sounds like she knows what she is talking about.’ ”
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ is now hosted by Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Emma Thompson has defended her decision to wear trainers when she received her damehood at Buckingham Palace.
Earlier this year, the 59-year-old actress was named in the Queen’s birthday honours for her services to drama, and went to the royal residence to collect the accolade from the Duke of Cambridge and the ‘Nanny McPhee’ star decided to don a fitted blue pantsuit paired with a pair of white sneakers.
The star’s casual footwear sent Twitter into a frenzy and Emma received hoards of criticism, with users claiming she disrespected royal protocol – but the ‘Love Actually’ actress insisted the shoes were “posh” and admitted she was unaware of the huge backlash she caused.
Speaking on the ‘My Dad Wrote a Porno’ podcast, of the Stella McCartney $325 Stan Smith vegan style shoes, she said: “They were posh trainers.
“Of course you have to understand as well as not listening to any f***ing podcast ever, well yours obviously, but mostly not.
“I don’t do social media so I have no idea when they say ‘Oh my god you caused a stir.’ I go, ‘Why?’ ”
This isn’t the first time Emma has been in hot water thanks to her clothing choices as she revealed she got into “terrible trouble” one year for wearing jeans to Cannes Film Festival.
She said:”I got into terrible trouble wearing jeans to Cannes once, I was wearing a very sparkly top look if you’re wearing a sparkly top it doesn’t matter what you’re wearing underneath it.
“Their fashion police went, ‘Oh my god! What is she doing? She is destroying the whole Cannes experience! Everyone is coming to see the beautiful Cannes actresses all dressed up looking gorgeous and look what she is doing, she’s wrecking the whole thing!'”

Corrie’s Faye Brookes teases marriage for Kate and Rana

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Brookes says marrying Rana Nazir will be “a dream come true” for Kate Connor.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor has opened up on the lesbian lovers’ relationship, and said her alter ego Kate will be “marrying the girl of her dreams” when the on-screen couple walked down the aisle one day.
Asked what their wedding day would be like, Faye said: “Because Rana has been married before, she’s slightly reserved, whereas Kate would be the opposite.
“This is the first time for her and she knows she’s going to be marrying the woman of her dreams.
“She wants the perfect dress, she can’t wait for her Dad to walk her down the aisle. It’s a dream come true for Kate, so I think she’s more excited than Rana.”

Meanwhile, her co-star Bhavna recently admitted the actresses have grown so close thanks to the storyline that they feel “like a real couple”.
She previously revealed: “I work a lot with Faye. Sometimes we’re like a real couple.
“The most important thing is to let yourself really go to those emotional places. Sometimes when the director shouts ‘cut’ we just stand there and hug for a bit.
“We’ve both come on this journey together, and it’s been really lovely.”

Emmerdale: Graham Foster ‘on the brink’ over Joe Tate’s disappearance

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Scarborough reveals Graham Foster is “on the brink” after Joe Tate’s disappearance.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor has opened up on how the former soldier is coping after the apparent death of Ned Porteous’ character, and how the guilt is consuming him after driving him to drink.
He told RadioTimes.com: “Graham is distraught and bereft without Joe, he misses him terribly.
“He’s very lonely and is drinking too much… Graham is on the brink of exploding and wants to tell Debbie everything, but he doesn’t. He’s drinking and finding it increasingly difficult to keep a lid on it, but knows he must.
“What he does say is that Debbie’s dad Cain knows more than she realises. It’s Graham’s way of deflecting and transferring – he wants someone else to feel what he’s feeling.”
Cain – played by Jeff Hordley – believes he is responsible for killing Joe, who he punched to the ground for jilting daughter Debbie (Charley Webb) at the alter.
However, viewers discovered he was still alive after hitting his head on a rock, when Graham – who was told to kill him by employer and ex-lover Kim Tate (Claire King) – put him into his car boot to dispose of the body.
It’s not been revealed whether he actually finished the job or let him run free, and Andrew has admitted he’d love Joe to make a shock return to Home Farm.
He added: “That would be wonderful! Graham treated Joe like his own son, and I don’t think Graham would be able to kill him…”

Alexander Skarsgard didn’t have a home for two years

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexander Skarsgard didn’t have a home for two years until recently.
The ‘Big Little Lies’ star – whose abusive character Perry Wright was killed off in the first season of the award-winning HBO series – has revealed his frantic working schedule, which includes his most recent stint in ‘The Little Drummer Girl’, meant he travelled to and from jobs and lived on location, until he finally purchased a place in New York, “a few months ago”.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “I’ve just been living on location, jumping from one project to another.
“I actually got an apartment in New York a few months ago. That was the first time in two years I had my own bed.”
It was presumed that the 42-year-old actor’s alter ego wouldn’t feature in the second season of ‘Big Little Lies’, but after eagle-eyed fans spotted him on set, it has been rumoured that Perry could come back in some form.
However, Alexander isn’t willing to spill any details.
He coyly replied: “Well, my character is definitely dead. “I can’t say any more.”
Meanwhile, the former ‘True Blood’ star – whose father is Hollywood legend Stellan Skarsgard – recently admitted
he often feels like his job is “trivial”.
Alexander – who has four brothers and a sister – has a brother who works as a doctor in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and the ‘Hold the Dark’ star said watching his sibling work hard to save lives can sometimes make his own job seem insignificant in comparison.
He said: “There are definitely moments when I feel that what I am doing is trivial. One of my brothers is an ICU doctor, and when I’m in Sweden he’ll come home having been up for 18 hours literally saving lives, and I’m on the couch working on a script saying, ‘I’m not really feeling this love scene.'”
