Danny Tetley and Brendan Murray voted off The X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Tetley and Brendan Murray have both been voted off ‘The X Factor’.
The 37-year-old singer and Brendan, 22, failed to impress the British public sufficiently in order to retain their place for tomorrow’s (25.11.18) Results Show, which will determine who will compete in the final of the ITV programme.
The decision means that there are now only four acts remaining on this year’s ‘X Factor’ – Acacia and Aaliyah, Dalton Harris, Scarlett Lee and Anthony Russell, who celebrated his survival wildly.
Both acts subsequently insisted that the British public will see more of them in the future.
But tonight’s result means that actress Ayda Field won’t have any acts in the running during this year’s ‘X Factor’ final.
Earlier in the show, Ayda poked fun at her husband and fellow judge Robbie Williams after the chart-topping pop star recently missed some of the live shows while he’s been touring overseas.
She said: “I’m in such a good mood, my husband is back. Thank you for showing up, it’s so nice of you to be here.”
However, Robbie had the last laugh on the night as his act Acacia and Aaliyah retained their place on the programme, meaning they’re now within touching distance of next week’s ‘X Factor’ final.

Little Mix slam industry sexism

OHMYGOSSIP — Little Mix have faced sexism throughout their career.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall – who recently split from Simon Cowell’s label Syco – have admitted that they have clashed with powerful men in the music industry but are fighting back with their new album ‘LM5’.
Leigh-Anne told the Daily Star: “We’ve had our fair share of arguments with powerful men over what we want to do and how things should be done.
“We were as ballsy as we could be with this album.
“We still face sexism in the industry. We’ve been told what we should and shouldn’t do.
“We learned to put our foot down and make sure we are taken seriously as four strong women who have opinions. It’s been a struggle.
“There are still not enough powerful women in the industry compared to men and that needs to change.
“There still is a lot that needs to be done in the music industry, but in terms of our careers we are in the driver’s seat more than ever because we speak up for ourselves, we stick together and make sure our opinions are treated as validly as any man’s.”
The group recently claimed boy bands get treated differently to them during discussions about tunes, whereas they will be written off as “whining” about something if they disagree over a song choice.
Perrie said: “It’s double standards when you’re young women. When we started out it was almost like, ‘This is your lane, stay in your lane. You’re the faces and the name.’
“We’re not. We’re the brand. We’re businesswomen. It’s our baby. So everything we do creatively comes from us
“It is frustrating that if a group of guys were to say, ‘We’re not going to do that song, we’re going to release this song,’ it’s like, ‘Maybe we should listen.’
“Whereas, when we do it, it’s like, ‘Oh they’re at it again, they’re whining.’
“But we’re not. We’re perfectionists. We take everything we do so seriously. It’s important to us.”

Noel Edmonds and Nick Knowles to face next Bushtucker Trial

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Edmonds and Nick Knowles are to face the next Bushtucker Trial on ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 69-year-old TV presenter and Nick, 56, have been voted to take on the live Trial on Sunday (25.11.18), with Noel having excelled during his first Trial alongside Harry Redknapp.
The veteran TV star – who was the last celebrity to arrive in the Australian jungle – teamed up with Harry to win 11 stars out of 11 for the hungry camp.
The celebrity duo – who have already struck up a bond during their brief time together on the show – were required to feast on brains from a sheep’s skull and drink a goblet of fish eye juice as part of their challenge.
Noel and Harry also had to keep cockroaches, worms and grubs in their mouths for 60 seconds in order to win stars for the ‘I’m a Celebrity’ campmates.
After Harry completed his 60 seconds with six beach worms in his mouth, he complained: “I felt sure I was going to swallow one. One was really deep down my throat.”
The soccer manager also revealed he felt a responsibility to complete the tasks, even though he dreaded doing it.
He confessed: “I struggle to eat the food honestly in the jungle that we get into camp.
“I don’t think I’ve really ate anything, so this is going to be difficult for me. I’ve got to do it. I’ve got the grandkids watching. I can’t let them down.”

Harry Redknapp opens up about sex life

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Redknapp opened up about his sex life on Friday’s (23.11.18) episode of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 71-year-old football manager has been married to his beloved wife Sandra for 54 years but admitted that he often gets cramp during their romps, leading Sandra to believe his cries of pain were actually those of pleasure.
Speaking on the ITV show, Harry said: “I’ve had it at home before and normally shout for Sandra. I have had it before during a difficult time.
“I think Sandra thought I was really enjoying myself at that time but it was cramp, I was screaming, I bet she thought ‘b****y hell, Harry’s getting excited’ but it was the cramp I had.”
Harry’s jungle campmate Noel Edmonds massaged the cramp for the star but admitted he found the experience bizarre.
Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, he said: “I woke up to the cries of Harry Redknapp in agony with cramp. It was a very difficult moment for me – I don’t know Harry that well. We’ve only been sleeping together for 24 hours. He did make a bit of a fuss about it.”
And Harry joked to their fellow campmates that Noel had given him an intimate massage.
He quipped: “I woke up from cramp and Noel was rubbing my leg under my clothes! I said ‘the cramp is in my calf, not in my groin!'”
As their campmates howled with laughter, Noel grumbled “shut it”.

Rita Ora struggles to sleep

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora has trouble sleeping.
The 27-year-old pop star – who is one of the world’s best-known singers – has revealed she struggles to fall asleep because she’s always got so many different ideas racing through her mind.
Asked what problem she wants some help to cure, Rita shared: “How do I sleep on the spot? Like, when you know you have two hours in the day to have a nap but your brain is going 100 miles an hour. How do you disconnect and have a nap? That’s what I want to know.”
Rita also struggles to deal with hangovers, and so the British star has learned not to “mix work with pleasure”.
The singer insisted good friends would understand if she rejected the chance to drink because she wanted to “wake up with a clear mind”.
She told the Guardian newspaper: “Good friends will support your decisions regardless. Plus, if you show them you can still have fun with them on a night out, they’ll get over it.
“I’ve done it and it’s worth it for that next day when you wake up with a clear mind and you don’t feel like you’re wasting the day. I’m not good at tackling hangovers, so that’s why I don’t mix work with pleasure.”
Earlier this week, meanwhile, Rita came under fire on social media for lip-syncing her way through Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
But the pop star subsequently rubbished the criticism, saying that circumstances meant she had no alternative other than to lip sync and that, where possible, she always sings live.
Rita made the comments after the Lithuanian singer Simonna tweeted: “We all know that Rita Ora can sing! Don’t be so quick to judge! Idk, but it’s possible that tv streaming was late or she was getting different playback or that the sound she was hearing in her headphone was different from what we heard. #MacysParade (sic)”
In response, Rita tweeted: “Exactly!! You got that right! You know this girl doesn’t lip sync it’s not my world! Now let me go find some turkey!! (sic)”

Faye Tozer: ‘Being away from husband is tricky’

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Tozer admits it is “tricky” being away from her husband during ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 43-year-old Steps star revealed she is missing her spouse Michael Smith, with whom she has a nine-year-old son, but says they have a solid family unit which is helping her get through it.
She told The Sun: “It’s always tricky being away from home. You just have to keep your head above water.
“We’ve just got to keep really tight as a family unit and make sure we communicate — I think that’s the only way. But it is tough being away from home because we miss each other.”
Faye was recently spotted enjoying a cosy meal with her hunky 28-year-old dance partner Giovanni Pernice but she insisted the pair are just good friends.
She said: “I can feed myself thank you very much. But I had a bit of salad on my face so he took it off and that was it.”
And Faye’s Steps bandmate Claire Richards recently insisted the star won’t fall to the ‘Strictly’ curse.
The former ‘Popstar to Operastar’ contestant said: “She’s not that stupid. If she’s having an affair with her partner she’s not going to be sitting in the window of a restaurant.
“It was her birthday that day and they don’t normally go out for lunch. She’s made of tough stuff, her and her husband are solid… I think. He’s been taking the mickey out of it.”
Over the course of fifteen series of the BBC favourite, nearly a dozen couples have split up thanks to their time on the show causing fans to label the series as ‘cursed.’
Claire also revealed that she “loves” the BBC dancing show because “it’s the experience of a lifetime” and said she “would be surprised” if Faye didn’t make it to the final.
However, the ‘Tragedy’ hitmaker said that she won’t be appearing on the show just yet, as she wants to focus on her debut solo album which comes out in February and also added that she is committed to the forthcoming Steps album.
The ‘One For Sorrow’ hitmaker added: “I thought I had got to the age where this wasn’t a consideration. Who starts a solo career at the age of 40? But the songs clicked and I’m happy. I’m doing this but I’m committed to the next Steps album.”

Kendall Jenner jokingly boos Tristan Thompson during basketball game

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner booed Tristan Thompson during a basketball game on Friday (23.11.18).
The 23-year-old model was spotted jokingly jeering Tristan, 27 – who is the boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian and the father of her seven-month-old daughter True – during the Cleveland Cavaliers’ game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Kendall was sat court-side for the game and could be seen cupping her hands to boo Tristan as he was taking a free throw.
However, the high-profile duo also shared a warm embrace on the court, showing that there were no hard feelings.
During the game, Kendall was also seen cheering for Ben Simmons, the Australian star for the 76ers who she’s been romantically linked to.
Meanwhile, Khloe – Kendall’s half-sister – recently hit back at criticism from fans after she skipped Thanksgiving with her family.
The 34-year-old reality star spent the holiday in Cleveland, Ohio, with Tristan and their daughter True, while her family celebrated in Los Angeles, but Khloe has denied she’s feuding with her loved ones.
She wrote on Twitter: “Y’all are reaching now. I’ve spent the past 3 years in Cleveland for Thanksgiving. Not sure why people are trying to create drama between my family and I. My sisters and I are perfectly fine thank you! All of their families were able to travel but TT being in season, he can not.
“The truth is never as fun as some story some of you like to create. So here we goooooooooooo!! Happy Thanksgiving I guess lol (sic).”

Ben Mendelsohn.calls for diversity and inclusion

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Captain Marvel’ is a “big moment” for inclusion and diversity, according to Ben Mendelsohn.
The 49-year-old actor stars as a high-ranking Skrull known as Talos, who has infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D., in the upcoming Marvel movie – the first to feature a solo female hero (Brie Larson as Captain Marvel)- and Ben hopes it will lead to more diversity in the movie industry.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said: “I think we have something really special here, and that all comes from a finely crafted script, it’s absolutely beautiful.
“Obviously this is a big moment for Marvel, and hopefully a sweeping change for inclusion and diversity in the industry.”
The movie also features Marvel Studios’ first female director, Anna Boden.
Meanwhile, producer Nate Moore previously insisted ‘Captain Marvel’ won’t be like the typical origin story.
He explained: “I think there is a structure to origin films that audiences sometimes can get ahead of very quickly. So, if we do origin films, internally, we talk about how we can subvert that structure.
“For instance, ‘Captain Marvel’ is an origin movie in that you haven’t seen her before, but we think we’ve stumbled upon a structure there that isn’t the traditional structure of what origin movies typically are, which is you meet the character, they have a problem, they get powers at the end of the first act, and the end of the second act they learn about the powers, the third act they probably fight a villain who has a function of the same powers.”
Nate revealed that the studio is determined to ensure that ‘Captain Marvel’ is distinct from other superhero movies.
He said: “As we introduce new characters moving forward, we want to find ways to subvert that structure, so at least the experience of the film feels new to audiences.
“We’re very conscious of making sure that audiences don’t get things that feel like they’ve seen them before.”

Michael Buble doesn’t care about number one records

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Buble doesn’t care about having a number one album.
The Canadian crooner’s latest record ‘Love’ topped the UK charts but Michael admitted chart positions mean nothing to him anymore after dealing with the trauma of his son being diagnosed with cancer.
He told DJ Larry Flick on New York’s SiriusXM: “I don’t give a sh*t if things sell one or 10 million, I don’t care where I play, if it is at a club or a stadium. My kids are good, that’s all I care about. Making music is this bonus, the bonus of the happiness of life. I couldn’t even think about it.
“I don’t read anything, don’t have social media any more and my poor manager cannot tell me what the chart positions are because he knows I will cut the call.
“I don’t need to know that. I don’t have control over that.
“Every second I get to promise myself to be the nicest, kindest person I can be. Everything else has gone out of the window – I can’t control them.”
Michael and his wife Luisana Lopilato have children Noah, five, Elias, two and three-month-old Vida together and were left devastated in 2016 when Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer.
However, the tot has since recovered and Michael says his health battle has helped him to put his own career worries into perspective.
Michael, 43, said: “I know what it is to have fear. That place [before] wasn’t a bad place – I was just a dumb-ass.
“I no longer think it is my business what people think of me. I will never let negativity in.”

Nicolas Roeg dies aged 90

OHMYGOSSIP — Movie director Nicolas Roeg has died aged 90.
The London-born filmmaker – whose movies included ‘Don’t Look Now’ and ‘Performance’ – was hailed for his original and, at times, controversial work during his six decades in the film business.
Nicolas Roeg Jr, the director’s son, has confirmed his dad died on Friday night (23.11.18).
Of his father, Nicolas said: “He was a genuine dad. He just had his 90th birthday in August.”
Although Nicolas eventually emerged as one of the UK’s most accomplished filmmakers, he actually started his career making tea and operating the clapper board at Marylebone Studios.
Nicolas made his directorial debut in 1970 with the drama film ‘Performance’, which he co-directed with the help of Donald Cammell.
However – as was often the case with Nicolas’s work – the film sparked controversy, with its release being delayed by two years because of the violence and drug-taking scenes.
Another of Nicolas’ best-known movies, ‘Don’t Look Now’, provoked outrage for its graphic sex scenes.
The director previously admitted he found the false rumours that ‘Don’t Look Now’ included a real sex scene to be “very flattering” because it meant it was so life-like.
Speaking in 2013, Nicolas – who married his second wife, actress Harriet Harper, in 2004 – explained: “What you are looking for in anything is some sort of truth.”
British director Edgar Wright has already paid tribute to Nicolas, describing him as “a master of the art”.
He wrote on Twitter: “Farewell to the extraordinary cinematic talent, director Nicolas Roeg. His films hypnotized me for years and still continue to intrigue. Along with classics like Performance & Walkabout, I could watch Don’t Look Now on a loop & never tire of its intricacies. A master of the art. (sic)”

Rita Ora: There’s a ‘beauty’ in being who you truly are

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora thinks thinks there’s “beauty in being who you truly are”.
The 27-year-old star has stressed the importance of being sincere, saying it’s good to “embrace” who you are and not worry too much about what other people might be thinking.
Speaking to the Guardian newspaper, Rita explained: “Be comfortable and confident with who you are. If you are a shy person, embrace it.
“There is beauty in being who you truly are. Don’t try and be anyone else apart from yourself. I really try and be myself as much as possible.”
Rita also spoke out about Kanye West, explaining that even though his opinions may not be popular, she defended his right to voice them.
The British star said: “Look: people are able to believe what they want to believe. What Kanye believes in is his choice. You can’t separate the two, but everyone is free to make their own choices and decisions in the world.”
Meanwhile, Rita recently admitted she had “an insecure moment” at the start of her music career.
The chart-topping star is now established as one of the world’s best-known pop stars, but Rita admitted to feeling uncertain of herself around the time she released her debut album in 2012.
Rita – who has just released her long-awaited second studio album, ‘Phoenix’ – shared: “I had a bit of an insecure moment when I was starting out and I felt like I couldn’t be myself, and that has now put a burden on me for the future, because if I was myself then I probably would have been different now. But I’m very grateful for the experience that I had.”

Rita Ora: Glastonbury is better than Coachella

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora says Glastonbury is better than Coachella.
The 27-year-old singer – who has just released her sophomore album ‘Phoenix’ after a six-year wait – says performing on the Pyramid stage at the renowned music festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset was one of the highlights of her career.
Writing in The Guardian, she said: “Glastonbury was one of the highlights of my life. Being on the Pyramid stage, I felt fearless and comfortable in my skin. It was such an achievement for me. I don’t think I can explain it with words. Is it better than Coachella? Because I’m a Brit, I’m gonna say yes.”
Rita also insisted that taking time out from social media and her phone helped her creatively when she was working on her new record.
She explained: “Music always gives me the best vibe. Time away from my phone is when I’m able to be the most creative and write more. With my new album, I really wasn’t on my phone that much. The process was so liberating and refreshing. It was almost like I was getting to know myself. You don’t know how much of an effect your phone has on you.”
Meanwhile, Rita was recently forced to defend herself over lip-syncing following backlash over her Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade performance in New York City on Thursday (22.11.18).
Lithuanian singer Simonna tweeted: “We all know that Rita Ora can sing!
(sic)”
The British star subsequently received support from Macy’s, which explained the reasons for Rita’s much-maligned performance.
The company said on the micro-blogging platform: “During today’s NBC broadcast of the #MacysParade several recording artists experienced technical difficulties that negatively impacted their performance. We apologize and want fans to know these issues were out of the artist’s control. (sic)”

Victoria Beckham launches her own YouTube channel

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham is launching her own YouTube channel.
The 44-year-old fashion designer – who is married to soccer star David Beckham – has announced that she’s launching a channel on the video-sharing website, describing it as a “new chapter” in her life.
Victoria – whose announcement was accompanied by a video shot during this year’s London Fashion Week – wrote on Twitter: “At September’s LFW @DerekBlasberg joined me at my store to celebrate #VBSince08! Today I have special news to share. I will be launching my own @YouTube channel with beauty tutorials, styling tips and lots of stuff from me! Subscribe to my channel at http://bit.ly/VB-YouTube x VB (sic)”
In the video, Victoria is filmed joking with American fashion journalist Derek Blasberg.
She says in the clip: “I am starting my own YouTube channel, that will be full of styling tutorials, lots of stuff from me and apparently … you naked. Apparently people want it, it’s what they want, what they really really want – and it’s coming on my channel!”
Victoria subsequently added: “This is a new chapter right now. I can put my foot on the gas and do everything that I’ve wanted to do for a long, long time.”
The British star’s announcement comes shortly after the other four members of the Spice Girls – Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner – confirmed their long-awaited reunion.
Rusty Updegraff, Mel B’s former nanny, recently suggested that Mel’s supposedly blunt approach may have been behind Victoria’s decision to spurn the chance to rejoin the group.
Rusty said: “I don’t know what happened with Victoria.
“Mel likes to be in control so that may have caused issues.”

Ruth Wilson has mixed feelings on motherhood

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Wilson changes her mind about having children every day.
The 36-year-old actress thinks women are no longer judged in the way they once were if they didn’t have kids of their own, but she also doesn’t feel rushed into making a decision about parenthood as there are so many options these days.
Speaking to Radio Times magazine, she said: “Every day I feel a different way about it. What’s interesting about women is that we’re conscious time is running out and that some part of us is in a process of dying from the age of puberty. I feel like what happens, happens.
“We have more ways available to us to have kids later on. If I really want a child, I can adopt or there are other ways. At the same time, if I don’t have a child, that decision is not judged as much as it used to be. Times are changing.”
The former ‘Affair’ actress – who has been romantically linked with the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, Jude Law and Joshua Jackson in the past – prefers to keep her personal life private and isn’t worried her latest venture, ‘Mrs. Wilson’, in which she plays her own grandmother, who discovered her MI6 agent husband was a bigamist with multiple secret wives, will put her under scrutiny.
She said: “I’m going to America for six months so I’ll just disappear off the face of the planet again. People don’t know a great deal about me. I prefer to keep it that way. ‘Mrs Wilson’ is quite personal and that adds an interesting dimension but it’s not really about me. I’d hate for people to be distracted by that.”

Mick Hucknall: Staying silent is the key to my success

OHMYGOSSIP — Mick Hucknall thinks staying silent has been one of the keys to his longevity in the music business.
The 58-year-old singer – who recently released a live performance CD and DVD, backed up by a full orchestra – has claimed that keeping his mouth closed and protecting his voice has helped him to enjoy such a long, prosperous career.
He told the BBC: “As I’ve gotten older I’ve got more bass in my voice but also because I don’t talk very much during the day I’ve managed to keep my voice in good condition.
“I’m still lucky enough to be able to hit the high notes … I don’t quite know how I’ve been so fortunate – I don’t do anything to take care of my voice except not talk very much. I try to keep my voice conditioned by just not using it very much and it’s paid off.”
Mick actually doesn’t like to rehearse his performances.
But he admitted that working with an orchestra has posed a completely new and different challenge that required him to rehearse thoroughly.
Mick – who is best known for his success with the soul-influence pop band Simply Red – shared: “It was very, very different when you perform with an orchestra – when you watch a conductor working, they are moving to a swing they are not responding directly to the beat.
“I don’t usually rehearse, which scares my bandmates sometimes but in this case, I thought I’ll turn up and sing a bit and keep everybody happy and I was really glad that I did because it was entirely different.
“For the first couple of hours I found it very difficult.”
