Faith Evans to perform at Kim Porter’s funeral

OHMYGOSSIP — Faith Evans will perform at Kim Porter’s funeral.
The 47-year-old model will be laid to rest on Saturday (24.11.18), over a week after she passed away at her Los Angeles home, and the 45-year-old singer – who is the widow of Notorious B.I.G. is set to sing at the service in Columbus, Georgia.
Kim’s former partner, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, is said to be keen to deliver a eulogy at the service but sources told TMZ he is still so “distraught” over her shock death, he’s unsure he could make it through his speech.
Mary J. Blige will also attend the service, though she’s not scheduled to perform.
At the request of the ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ hitmaker – who had Christian, 20, and 11-year-old twins Jessie and D’Lila with Kim, his on/off partner of 13 years – his former partner’s casket will arrive at the funeral in a horse-drawn carriage because the model adored the creatures.
Kim passed away after suffering “flu-like” symptoms for weeks and though an autopsy has been carried out, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner later confirmed Kim’s body had been released after an autopsy was carried out, but they still need to undertake further tests to determine the cause of death.
Diddy recently staged a brunch in Kim’s memory at his home, where he was joined by friends including Jay Z, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige and Chris Rock.
Quincy Jones, Pharrell Williams, Rashida Jones and Kimora Lee Simmons were also in attendance.
A source said: “They all brought their children. It was a big family affair.”
It’s said that Minister Michael Beckwith prayed with the group, and Diddy did all the talking throughout the brunch.
The hip hop mogul recently admitted he’s been living a “nightmare” since the death of his ex.
Alongside a video of himself cradling Kim while she was pregnant, he wrote on Instagram: “For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare. But I haven’t.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship.
“We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER S**T!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love [love heart emoji] (sic)”

Henry Cavill’s character change

OHMYGOSSIP — Henry Cavill’s ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ character didn’t start off as a “formidable opponent”.
The 35-year-old actor stars as villain August Walker in the sixth instalment of the popular spy film franchise – which stars Tom Cruise as protagonist Ethan Hunt, and was released over the summer – and has said his character began life as just a “thorn in the side” of Ethan, but became much more fleshed out when director and writer Christopher McQuarrie made some changes in the middle of shooting.
When asked by CinemaBlend.com what the biggest changes made to his character were, he said: “The biggest change I would say was the threat level of Walker. He began as more of a thorn in the side of Hunt and ultimately became a formidable opponent with a driving story by the time McQ was done with him.”
His comments come after director Christopher recently praised him as “the man” for having a can-do attitude on the movie’s set.
He said: “Henry is the man. He’s really … and more so, he would come to work every day and find out that whatever his character was the day before was not that character anymore.
“‘Ah, we rethought that, it didn’t work, it’s a whole other thing,’ and Henry would say, ‘Well, can I do this? Yeah? Can I do that? Yeah? Okay.’ And then he would just go off to work, and he’d never complain.”
Christopher also hailed Henry as the “unsung hero” of a dramatic helicopter sequence in the movie, which was shot in the winter in New Zealand.
He said: “You know, when they say everything Fred Astaire did, Ginger Rogers did backwards and in high heels, everything Tom Cruise is doing, Henry is doing backwards with the doors open in sub-zero temperatures. Freezing his eyeballs.”

Nick Knowles has hit No.1 on the iTunes Charts

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Knowles has hit No.1 on the iTunes Charts.
The ‘DIY SOS’ presenter has shot to the top spot – overtaking the likes of Pink, Jess Glynne and Lady Gaga – with an acoustic cover of Adele’s ‘Make You Feel My Love’, after talking about how his part-time music career began on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ with his fellow campmates.
The song features on Nick’s debut album ‘Every Kind Of People’ which ranked 92nd in the charts last year and the 56-year-old presenter claimed he landed the record deal after jamming on a rooftop bar in Soho, London, with Scottish rock trio Biffy Clyro.
Speaking on the show, Nick – who is now being tipped as a contender for this year’s Christmas number one – said: “They won’t mind me naming them, it was Biffy Clyro.”
The band – comprised of Simon Neil, James Johnston and Ben Johnston – have confirmed that they did hang out with Nick and “there might have been a guitar there” but they insist it wasn’t a “proper heavy jam session”.
Speaking on Greg James’ Radio 1 Breakfast show, drummer James said: “He’s been a bit fast and loose with the truth there. It was more like eight years ago, and it was after an awards ceremony. We came back to this hotel in Soho and we’d been informed that Nick Knowles had bought us a bottle of champagne to celebrate on the roof! He was lovely, we had a drink and we left and there might have been a guitar there. He was a nice guy! I’m not gonna say anything bad about him, Mr. Nick Knowles, he was lovely.”
“But I don’t think it’s quite the Kum Ba Yah situation that everyone might have in their heads. I’m really sorry to shatter the illusion that we had a proper heavy jam with Nick Knowles because that did not happen I’m afraid. It’s a half-truth. We were in the same rooftop bar at the same time, and he was very nice.”

Mariah Carey is ‘very involved’ in writing her own music

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey is “very involved” in writing her own songs.
The ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ hitmaker released her 15th studio album ‘Caution’ last week, and she is listed as a co-writer and producer on each of the 10 tracks.
Priscilla Renea – who has worked with the lies of Rihanna and Fifth Harmony – told Rolling Stone magazine: “You can’t start writing before Mariah gets into the room; she wants to be involved…
“She’s very animated; she has all these one-liners she’ll always say. We were talking about the different things that are a no-no that have been happening. I don’t even need to say it, but our president is a no-no.”
This train of thought led to the track ‘A No No’, and Mariah’s heavy involvement is typical of her work in the studio.
The Stereotypes producer Ray Romulus also collaborated with the star on the LP – resulting in the song ‘Stay Long Love You’ – and he has revealed how much input she really has.
She added: “I was watching Wendy Williams a couple weeks ago, and she made a comment about how Mariah just walks into a studio and songs are made for her and she just sings them.
“I want to let her know: No. Mariah writes all her records. She’s very involved in every step of the way. She knows her stuff.”
As well as working with a number of talented writers and producers to realise her own vision, the singer also features a number of collaborations on the record.
While Gunna appears on ‘Stay Long Love You’, Ty Dolla Sign can be heard on ‘The Distance’, and both Slick Rick and Blood Orange lend their skills to ‘Giving Me Life’.

Lily James notices plot holes in Mamma Mia 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily James has picked up on “holes” in the plot of ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’.
The 29-year-old actress stars as the younger version of Meryl Streep’s character Donna Sheridan in the recent sequel to the 2008 movie ‘Mamma Mia!’ – which is based on the musical of the same name, using the music of ABBA – and has said she’s noticed some inconsistencies in the plot.
Donna’s mother is played by iconic singer Cher in the sequel, but Lily has pointed out the character is supposed to be dead.
She said: “There are holes. Her mum was definitely dead in the first one, she’s like, ‘God rest her soul’.”
But the cast of the movie believe some artistic license was used in order to bring the character back to life, because it made people “happy” to see Cher in the film.
Jessica Keenan Wynn, who plays the younger version of Donna’s pal Tanya, said: “It makes people happy in the end.”
To which Lily added: “People come back to life for Cher!”
And Lily also believes some inconsistencies can be explained as just being how Donna remembers events in her past.
She told DigitalSpy: “That is exactly what it is. That’s a very good way of looking at it. I think, come on, it’s artistic licence!”
Meanwhile, Lily recently revealed working on the project was “wild”, and one of the “happiest jobs” she’s ever done.
She said: “It was wild. There was the six of us on an island in Croatia for six weeks in the sunshine. It was the best summer holiday you could dream of, and we’ve all become so close, and they’re all so talented. It wasn’t like work.
“If you ask Colin [Firth], or Stellan [Skarsgard], or Pierce [Brosnan], or any of them, they all say that it was one of the happiest jobs they’ve ever done. Even Bob Yeoman, the director of photography who’s worked on all Wes Anderson films.”

Graham Norton says he’s outgrown ‘mean’ jokes

OHMYGOSSIP — Graham Norton says he will never bring back the “mean” jokes he made on his Channel 4 show because people would be “horrified” by them now.
The 55-year-old comic made his name as the king of the late night talk show with his programme ‘So Graham Norton’ which ran from 1998 to 2002 and was famous for his sexual innuendo gags and outrageous audience confessions.
But Graham wouldn’t be comfortable doing that style of comedy again because he thinks viewers would find the gags inappropriate.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “I think the world has moved on, we did a lot of jokes on that show that I wouldn’t do now, it’s mean. People were happier to laugh at that stuff then, I think if I came out did those jokes to an audience now they would just wince they would be kind of horrified. Things may go in a loop and that style of comedy may come back but for right now it’s not appropriate.”
Graham understands that people are more easily offended now by jokes and he thinks that working comedians are less inclined to try and shock their audience because they want to have successful careers.
The TV funnyman – who is the host of ‘The Graham Norton Show’ – said: “I don’t know if comedians compromise now, I think it’s just doing your job. If you want your gig to do well then you do the jokes that people like.”

Alexandra Shipp to star in Endless

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Shipp is set to star in ‘Endless’.
The 27-year-old actress – who is known for her roles in ‘Love, Simon’ and ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ – will take on a starring role alongside Nicholas Hamilton in the romantic drama, which is being directed by Scott Speer and written by Rohit Kumar.
According to Deadline, ‘Dear White People’ star DeRon Horton is also set to co-star in the movie, which is currently in production in British Columbia.
‘Endless’ follows the story of teenage couple Chris (played by Nicholas) and Riley (Alexandra), who are separated when a fatal accident leaves Chris stranded in limbo between life and death.
Chris is then forced to watch Riley grieve until they find a way to connect once again, and can share deeply emotional moments together as they learn how to let go.
The movie also stars Ian Tracey, Patrick Gilmore, Zoe Belkin, Eddie Ramos, Catherine Haggquist, BJ Harrison, and Barbara Meier.
Gabriela Bacher of Film House Germany’s Summerstorm Entertainment is producing alongside Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee of Thunder Road Pictures and Sean Finegan of Hyper Media Ventures. They will be joined by Canadian producing partner Kevin DeWalt of Mind’s Eye Entertainment.
For Alexandra, the casting comes as she’s also set to reprise her role as Storm in next year’s ‘X-Men’ movie ‘Dark Phoenix’.
The actress had to defend her casting earlier this year after landing the role in 2016’s ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’, when people claimed she didn’t have “dark enough skin” for the comic book character.
She said: “[I tweeted back] at people who criticized me for not having dark enough skin for my role in ‘X-Men’ because we’re not going to have this conversation about a cartoon character. You’re not going to tell me that my skin color doesn’t match a Crayola from 1970. Growing up, when I was reading the comics, I pictured her looking like me. For any black girl, for there to be a black superhero, we picture them looking like us.”

Louisa Lytton comments on EastEnders future and new boss Kate Oates

OHMYGOSSIP — Louisa Lytton has praised new ‘EastEnders’ boss Kate Oates and reaffirmed her own commitment to the soap.
The 29-year-old actress – who rejoined the soap earlier this year as Ruby Allen after first appearing from 2005 to 2006 – praised former producer Iain MacLeod but admitted she was loving the fresh start that has come with a change in leadership.
She said: “Kate is so nice. We’re all very excited. It’s a really nice atmosphere there.
“Obviously, John brought me back to the show, so I’m very grateful for that, but it’s just exciting whenever you have a new boss – to get their different views and their storylines and their ideas, and to see where the show goes. I’m here for a while.”
It’s been 13 years since Louisa first appeared in Albert Square, and she admitted the BBC soap has changed “massively” in between her two stints.
She added: “It’s massively [different]. When I was there before, I was 15 – I was still at school. And it was a different world back then. It’s so different now – different as an actress, and different in every sense.
“But it also still feels like the same place. I’ve still got my friends there. It’s still the same atmosphere. I can’t explain it.
“People keep asking me if it’s different and I’m like, ‘It’s the same but it’s different’. In a way, I felt like I just went back and I never left. But at the same time, it feels like a total new job. Which is weird.”

Sarah Silverman: Pam Ribon is the unsung hero of Wreck it Ralph

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Silverman has praised ‘Wreck It Ralph’ writer Pam Ribon as the “unsung hero” of the Disney franchise.
The 47-year-old actress is reprising her role as Vanellope von Schweetz in the recently released sequel ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’, and has said that writer Pam – who helped to write the story, and co-wrote the screenplay with Phil Johnston – isn’t given enough credit for her hard work on the production.
Pam also voices Snow White in the film, and even stood in for several other characters during the recording process, most notably taking on the role of Shank whilst Sarah read her lines, as Gal Gadot – who plays Shank – had to record her lines from London.
When asked by Collider.com whom she would give the title of “unsung hero” to, Sarah said: “Pam Ribbon. She would be the one. She wrote this … she co-wrote the screenplay, she was there every time, she read Shank with me, she read a lot of the other parts. She actually played Snow White. She’s a great mind, and obviously [directors] Rich Moore and Phil Johnston are amazing, but yeah. Pam I would bring up also with them. She’s amazing.”
Meanwhile, directors Rich and Phil recently revealed Gal was overjoyed at the prospect of making her singing debut in the movie with ‘A Place Called Slaughter Race’.
Phil said: “We got on the phone with her and had a lovely conversation with her about who this character was and what her relationship was. The fact that she got to sing a song was very exciting to her and yeah it’s over the last year maybe we’ve been working with her.”

Faye Tozer released pent up emotions in Strictly Come Dancing routine

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Tozer’s paso doble on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ felt like “a release”.
The Steps star wowed judges with her powerful routine during Saturday’s (17.11.18) episode of the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition – which was filmed live from the iconic Blackpool Tower ballroom – and has said she was so full of emotion from the build up of getting to the important stage of the competition that her “angry and feisty” dance was the “perfect routine”.
She said: “It was just such an incredible night and Blackpool definitely feels bigger and better than being in the studio.
“It was just great to have the crowds, the extra dancers, the fire and the music. It was lovely.
“It was almost a bit of a release being able to go out there and be angry and a bit feisty. There was quite a lot of build up to Blackpool and it was the perfect routine for that.”
The 43-year-old vocalist had her parents Dorothy and Angus watching in the audience as she took to the dance floor with partner Giovanni Pernice, and says they were “dead proud” of her work.
Speaking on BBC2’s ‘Strictly’ spin-off show ‘It Takes Two’, Faye said: “Mum and dad were really proud. I saw them just afterwards and they had a little tear in their eye. I think they were dead proud.
“They grew up with me. They know I’ve got that side to me. It doesn’t come out usually.”
Faye always puts 100 percent into her routines, and her husband Michael Smith recently revealed she works so hard she looks like she’s been “attacked”, as she comes home covered in bruises.
He said: “It looks like she’s been attacked – the bruises are ridiculous.
“Faye puts 100 per cent into it – she doesn’t do things by halves!”

Ariana Grande replaces engagement ring with friendship bling

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande has replaced her engagement ring from ex Pete Davidson with a diamond friendship rock shared by seven members of her clique.
The ‘God is a Woman’ singer recently split from her SNL comedian fiancé – who proposed to her in April just four weeks after they started dating – and now, the star has been spotted wearing new bling on her wedding finger, which she revealed matches other rings worn by her close pals.
Ariana first posted a picture on Sunday (18.11.18) via social media of her wearing the rock and captioned the snap with the lyrics of her new track ‘Thank U, Next’, leaving fans speculating about the new piece of jewellery, she wrote: “…. n I’m so good with that.”
The ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ hitmaker also uploaded a short video to her social media confirming the friendship jewellery as she tagged her besties, Njomza and Alexa Luria, and wrote “3/7” alongside the snap of the three’s bling.
Ariana previously hit out at her failed engagement when she commented on an Instagram post that linked to an article listing ’13 tips and tricks for finding the perfect engagement ring’.
She simply posted: “Don’t (sic)”
Shortly after the 25-year-old singer split from the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star, it was revealed she had returned the $93,000 pear-shaped diamond ring to Pete with “no struggle” and was “quick to fork it over”.
Pete, 24, previously admitted he had sent Ariana photos of engagement rings as soon as they met.
He said: “The day I met her, I was like, ‘Hey, I’ll marry you tomorrow.’ She was calling my bluff. I sent her a picture [of engagement rings]. I was like, ‘Do you like any of these?’ She was like, ‘Those are my favorite ones,’ and I was like, ‘Sick.'”

Dolly Parton wants to die on stage

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton wants to die on stage.
The 72-year-old singer feels “grateful” to be alive and has no plans to retire because she still enjoys her career so much.
She said: “It’ll happen when it happens. That’s how I feel. I am grateful that I am still here. So many people have more talent than I’ve ever dreamed of having that never get to see dreams come true.
“There’s a whole lot to be said for loving your work and having confidence in yourself. I never once thought of retiring…
“I just hope I fall dead in the middle of a song, hopefully one I wrote, right on stage. That’s the way I go!”
However, the ‘Jolene’ hitmaker admitted she would think about slowing down if her husband needed her.
She told People magazine: “If my husband needed me, or someone in my family, I would put him first. I’ve always put myself first and my career first, but if something were to happen to him, I would pull back on that.”
However, Dolly wouldn’t retire completely.
She said: “I’d still find a way to work, still find a way to be productive.”
The ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker has travelled the world with her career but there’s still somewhere she wants to visit that she’s never made it to yet.
She said: “I’ve never been to the Holy Land.
“I wanted to always take my mom and grandpa, who was a preacher, and I couldn’t afford it. They’re not here now, but that’s something I’d like to do.”
Although she’s had a highly successful career over the years, the country legend recently admitted that she used to sleep in a car with her uncle when she first started singing.
She said: “We’d sleep in the car, that was our room … my bedroom was the backseat and [Bill’s] was the front seat. I’d wash my hair in the filling station bathrooms and put makeup on in the side mirror of the car, and that was just how you did it.”

Lili Reinhart’s Thanksgiving date

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Reinhart has taken her boyfriend home for Thanksgiving.
The ‘Galveston’ actress has been dating her ‘Riverdale’ co-star Cole Sprouse for the last year and has shown how serious their relationship has got by asking him to accompany her to North Carolina for the holiday.
Lili has shared several photos on her Instagram stories of the 26-year-old actor hanging out with her family dogs outside – and in one photo, Cole and one of the dogs even wore matching coats.
The 22-year-old actress previously insisted she prefers to keep her relationship out of the spotlight.
She said recently: “I keep my relationship private because it’s just between two people, and that’s the way it should be.
“It’s not like I’m trying to dangle my relationship in front of people’s faces like, ‘you don’t know anything about us.’ It’s just, you don’t need to know. People feel like they’re owed that, and you’re absolutely not owed anything by me.”
However, she did reveal the pair love to go on “adventures” together and she’s always in awe of the hidden places Cole finds for them to visit.
She said: “I like to go on adventures with Cole. Truly, adventures. He takes me to places where I’m like, ‘How did you find this?’ He’s made me see these things that I would have never seen otherwise. It’s escapism, which is so beautiful and wonderful.”
Lili has also admitted in the past she found Cole’s voice “annoying” when they first met.
She said: “I thought his voice was annoying. That was my first impression, I was like, ‘That guy’s got an annoying voice.’ And now it’s grown on me I guess.”
And the actor admitted he found it hard to get close to Lili at first.
He previously said: “Lili was a tough egg to crack, she’s very shy at first, reserved, and I think it was about halfway into the first season she started letting people in truly.”

Billie Lourd lies about cooking

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Lourd disguises restaurant food as her own.
The ‘American Horror Story’ actress admitted she is “inept” in the kitchen but learned a trick from her late grandmother, veteran actress Debbie Reynolds, to cover up her lack of skills by purchasing something already cooked, and then putting it into a “sad little box” to make it look homemade.
She admitted to ‘Late Late Show’ host James Corden: “Cooking is a dangerous thing for me, I’m pretty inept in the kitchen.
“It’s kind of scary, it’s a dangerous time.
“What I do is lie. I bring something from a great restaurant and I put it in a sad little box and pretend like I did it. It’s kind of become a family tradition vibe, my grandmother used to do it.”
But Billie claimed she “does it better” than her grandmother, because her attempts to disguise her store-bought food was “really poor”.
She continued: “One year she said she was going to make everything, put it out, and my dad and I were serving the food on the plates and we’re like, ‘This isn’t looking great.’
“So we checked under and it’s El Pollo Loco. Nothing against El Pollo Loco — I love a good El Pollo Loco, but at least put it in a different dish.
“So I do better. I put it in a sad Tupperware so it looks like I did it.”
The 26-year-old actress recently credited ‘American Horror Story: Cult’ and its showrunner Ryan Murphy for helping “save her life” following the tragic deaths of her mother Carrie Fisher and her grandmother Debbie just a day apart on December 2006.
She said: “When Ryan offered me ‘Cult’, it was just a few months after my mom passed, and it honestly helped me process all of my emotions through these characters.
“Being able to cry for [my character] Winter helped me cry for myself. And it’s been really healing and cathartic in an amazing way, and getting to be around all the incredible people on set, they’ve become like a family to me, and I cannot thank Ryan enough. Honestly, it kind of saved my life.”
