Noel Edmonds says he and Holly Willoughby are ‘professionals’

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Edmonds says he and Holly Willoughby are “professionals” as he plays down claims of a rift on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
The 69-year-old TV star was the first campmate to be voted off the ITV show over the weekend, and while there has been reports of a feud between him and the programme’s host, he has insisted they were fine.
He told The Sun newspaper: “There’s no feud with Phil [Schofield] and Holly. We’re all entitled to an opinion about certain things. We’re all professionals.”
The row began two years ago when Holly and Noel clashed over his suggestion cancer could be caused by “negative energy”, and it was claimed this tension carried over into the jungle.
A source had told The Sun on Sunday: “Holly and Noel do not like each other and their bad blood goes right back to the This Morning interview.
“Holly was angry with Noel at the time and thought he was callous. It’s no secret at all that she was shocked when he was signed for ‘I’m a Celebrity’.
“She has been very professional on the show but if you know her, you can see that she does not like him. She finds him patronising and feels uncomfortable around him.”
The ‘Deal Or No Deal’ star was the first to leave the camp after losing out in the public vote on Friday (30.11.18), and his wife Liz admitted she had “a feeling” he would be voted off.
She said: “I thought he was going to go, I don’t know why, it’s just a feeling, but I think it will be for the good.
“Lots of people might be sad and angry he’s out but I’m really pleased. There is a reason for everything and usually around Noel those reasons turn out to be very positive.
“Think about it, his audience, all his old fans from ‘Swap Shop’ probably don’t vote. The cosmos gives you everything for a reason. If this is the decision, then so be it.”

Chloë Sevigny wants to ‘distance herself’ from fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloë Sevigny is trying to “distance herself” from fashion.
The 44-year-old model and actress has worked with some of the most celebrated names in the industry but she’s worried being regarded as a style icon “overshadows” some of her other “cultural contributions”.
In an interview with the Sunday Times’ Style magazine, she said: “I’m trying to distance myself from fashion. It’s going to take a lifetime but I feel like it overshadows some of my other cultural contributions and that frustrates me.
The ‘American Psycho’ actress has also confessed that she can no longer look at fashion magazines as the models give her “anxiety” because of the changes going on in her own body.
She said: “[I have] untold anxiety because of what’s happening to my body when your hormones and your body change.”
Despite her decision to leave the world of fashion, it seems the ‘American Horror Story’ star is still attached to her clothing and eventually wants to pass her favourite pieces down to her future daughter.
The star said the amount of old wardrobe items she’s held on to is “a little embarrassing” but they all hold treasured memories for her, though she’s got no idea what to do with the garments in the future.
She previously said: “I have pieces that I wore over and over again in high school. My collection is vast and exhaustive and a little embarrassing.”
“Just all the pieces that I hold and think about what was happening when I was wearing them. The sense memory of that.
“It’s embarrassing. I better have a daughter soon or I don’t know what’s gonna happen.”

Martin Scorsese praises brave Netflix for backing The Irishman

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Scorsese praised brave Netflix for “taking risks” on independent films.
The 76-year-old director has credited the streaming service with taking a chance on funding his upcoming new movie ‘The Irishman’, which is a biographical crime drama looking at labor union leader and alleged Bufalino crime family hitman Frank Sheeran.
Speaking at the Marrakech Film Festival over the weekend, he said: “People such as Netflix are taking risks. ‘The Irishman’ is a risky film.
“No one else wanted to fund the pic for five to seven years. And of course we’re all getting older. Netflix took the risk.”
The movie – which is based on Charles Brandt’s book ‘I Heard You Paint Houses’ – stars Robert De Niro as Sheeran, with the stellar cast also featuring the likes of Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Ray Romano.
It will be the ninth time Scorsese has collaborated with De Niro, while the actor has worked with co-star Pacino three times before – but it will be the first time the iconic filmmaker has directed the latter performer.
The script has been penned by ‘Schindler’s List’ writer Steven Zaillian, and the movie is set to be released on Netflix next year.
Meanwhile, Scorsese also explained that despite technological advances and huge changes in the film industry, some of the rituals and on-set experiences remain the same – and he described it as “sacred”.
As reported by Variety, he added: “The process of making a movie is sacred. For example when the sound engineer records what’s called the ‘wild track’ to get the ambient sound.
“We all have to stand there in silence for around two minutes. Everyone is in the room. Inevitably they all start meditating. That’s enough. It’s a sacred moment.”

Alek Wek wants to show that ‘clothes don’t wear her’

OHMYGOSSIP — Alek Wek wants to show that “clothes don’t wear her”.
The 41-year-old supermodel has worked with some of the most celebrated names in the industry in her illustrious 20-year career and the Sudan-born beauty thinks she’s more than proven herself now.
In an interview with the Sunday Times Style magazine, she said: “I love that I can finally show I wear the bloody clothes, they don’t wear me.”
Alek has fronted massive campaigns including classic Issy Miyake and new-era Balenciaga and has offered the piece of advice she has learned over her many years in the industry.
She said: “That’s the one thing I’ve learned in fashion. You have to be careful what you put out, because people can manipulate it and put out something else.”
The model went on to confess she owes her self-confidence to her mother, who always insisted her and her four sisters were beautiful and said she can’t “comprehend coming home and feeling unattractive”.
She said: “I couldn’t comprehend coming home and feeling unattractive in my colour or in my features, I know the woman I am.”
Alex will host this year’s Fashion Awards at London’s Royal Albert Hall and this year’s ceremony will see Miuccia Prada receive the Outstanding Achievement Award for her outstanding contribution to fashion.
The fashion icon will join honourees Donatella Versace, Ralph Lauren KBE, Karl Lagerfeld and Manolo Blahnik and British Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful – who is a member of the British Fashion Council – has praised Prada as “a genius”.
He said: “She has trained people’s eyes to a new way of dressing, one that is not based on the classic idea of the female form. She’s a genius!”

Michelle Dockery replaces Kate Beckinsale in Toff Guys

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Dockery has replaced Kate Beckinsale in Guy Ritchie’s ‘Toff Guys’.
The ‘Downton Abbey’ star – who recently finished shooting the spin-off movie of the popular British period drama, in which she starred as Lady Mary Crawley – will now portray Matthew McConaughey’s alter ego’s wife instead of the ‘Total Recall’ actress in the gangster flick.
Irish star Colin Farrell has also joined the cast as an MMA fighter trainer.
The latest additions to the line-up come after it was revealed Hugh Grant is set to play gossip journalist Fletcher and Henry Golding, a Vietnamese gangster.
The motion picture is expected to see writer Ritchie inspired by his classic crime comedy efforts, ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ and ‘Snatch’. .
Miramax forked out $30 million on the rights for the movie in May, ahead of the Cannes market, and production is expected to begin shortly in England.
The movie will centre on the story of a British drug lord who is attempting to sell off his business to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.
Ritchie, Marn Davies and Ivan Atkinson have penned the script for the project.
The ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’ director previously admitted he feels cinema needs to give people “more” than it used to, because the quality of TV shows has increased.
He said: “To a degree cinema has become a sensational format, so you have to respect the rules of contemporary cinema. Because why do you go the cinema now, when TV can give you so much?
“You do need more from cinema than you used to. It needs to be an event of sorts just because television has become so interesting. There seems to be a polarisation between what cinema needs to do now and what TV needs to do.
“So I’m aware of the rules of contemporary cinema but it does need to be an experience, otherwise there’s no point, you’re just making TV.”

Vanessa Hudgens on proposal speculation

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Hudgens is “so happy” with Austin Butler amid speculation he will propose for her 30th birthday.
The star will celebrate the milestone on December 14, and she has stayed tight lipped when it comes to rumours her long term boyfriend could be set to pop the question to make the occasion ever more special.
Asked about a possible proposal by hit105’s ‘Stav, Abby and Matt Show’, she said: “I mean, like obviously everyone’s place in life where they feel like that is appropriate is different.
“I’m coming up on seven years with Austin and I just know that I’m so happy and he’s like such an amazing partner and I’m just like so grateful to not have to be in the dating scene.”
When it comes to hitting 30, Vanessa still feels like “a big kid” and her birthday plans reflect that as she revealed she wants to embrace her inner child.
She added: “I really just want to go to Disney World because I’m a big kid. I want to do that.
‘I also want to do like a ‘Lord Of The Rings’ themed dinner and make everyone dress like characters from ‘Lord Of The Rings’ and I want to be an Elvin fairy. I want to wear the long dress and the ears and hire bands to play like Elvin music.”
Her comments on Austin potentially getting on one knee come after she said last month she would like to start a family in her “late 30s”.
She recently explained: “I want to get married, travel, then have kids – probably in my late 30s. Everyone’s clock is different. We both respect, trust and admire each other.
“It’s so solid now because I feel strong as an independent woman. I am very self-reliant, but it’s nice to have a best friend you can share victories with as well as losses.”

Charli XCX promises new album if 1999 reaches top 10

OHMYGOSSIP — Charli XCX has vowed to release a new album in 2019 – if her latest single ‘1999’ makes it into the top 10.
The 26-year-old pop star has been so blown away by how well the song, which features Troye Sivan, has been performing in the charts, that she plans on rewarding her fans – known as her Angels – by dropping her first studio album since 2014’s ‘Sucker’, if the track, which at the time of writing sits at number 13 in the Official UK Chart, shifts two places up.
Sharing a link to download the track, Charli tweeted over the weekend: “UMMM ANGELS WTF?! IF THIS GOES TOP 10 I’LL MAKE ANOTHER ALBUM AND DROP IT NEXT YEAR. https://ad.gt/1999 (sic)”
Despite having released two mixtapes – ‘Number 1 Angel’ and ‘Pop 2’ – and several singles since her last full album, Charli recently admitted she doesn’t have a plan when it comes to her music in the future.
Asked if she’s planning a third full-length record, she said: “You know, I don’t really know. I don’t really have a plan, so to speak. I’m just kind of releasing what I want when I want. I’m not sure what’s next. Maybe it’s an album, maybe it’s not an album, maybe there’s never an album, maybe there are 10 more mixtapes. I’m just kind of doing what I want to do and seeing where I go.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Boom Clap’ singer spent most of 2018 on the road with Taylor Swift and Camila Cabello for Taylor’s ‘Reputation World Tour’, and said the experience had been “really positive”.
She said: “It’s been really great. It’s kind of a bummer that it’s coming to an end. I think it’s really cool that she is so open with Camila and me – we perform with her each night. The vibe is really positive, it feels very relaxed. It just feels like we’ve all got each other’s backs, and that feels really nice. It’s a good vibe and it’s been a really good experience.”

John Mayer and Halsey comment on dating speculation

OHMYGOSSIP — John Mayer and Halsey would never date because they’re “both alpha types”.
The two friends have recently been forced to deny rumours they’re in a relationship, and now they have explained exactly why a romance between them would be “difficult”.
On his own’ Instagram Live show ‘Current Mood’, the ‘Bad At Love’ hitmaker held up a cue card and said: “The fact that we’re both alpha types, while not prohibitive, would make a romantic relationship difficult, especially when compounded by the fact that we’re both highly driven and creative artists who value our independence.”
Halsey admitted she felt the same way, and joked they know each other well enough to be in a relationship.
She laughed: “For being my not-boyfriend, you really do know me so well.”
John, 41, has been in several high profile relationships with the likes of Jessica, as well as Katy Perry, Jennifer Aniston, and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
However Halsey, 24, recently hit out at rumours they were an item and stated it’s possible for two people of the opposite sex to be friends and not be “sleeping together”.
She wrote: “I just had a ground breaking idea. What if…we let female artists…have friends…without assuming that they are sleeping together?
I know I know. It’s like, completely ambitious but like, imagine if we like, tried ? (sic)”
Meanwhile, John is known for his bad boy reputation and often rude persona, but previously insisted he’s cleaned up his act in recent years, and now thinks the stereotype that he’s a “d**k” is “a really outdated take” on his personality.
He said: “Some people still say, ‘That guy’s a d**k.’ And I go, ‘Well, any of that data you’re working off of is really old.’ I mean, I can tell you for sure that I haven’t been a d**k in many years. That’s a really outdated take.”

Peter Andre’s son is getting to grips with Greek

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Andre is teaching his two-year-old son to be bilingual.
The 45-year-old singer has been teaching his toddler Theo how to speak in English and in Greek, which is the mother tongue of Pete’s parents who moved to Australia when he was six.
Pete has been amazed at his son’s progress as he can now understand questions he is asked in Greek.
Writing in his column in New! magazine, he revealed: “Over the last couple of weeks we’ve noticed a real improvement in his speech – he can converse properly and his understanding of Greek has got better, too. If I hold something up and ask him what colour it is in Greek, he replies in English! He’s so much happier now he’s able to talk more because he can tell us what he wants and there’s no frustration there. He’s a little ledge.”
As well as Theo, Pete also has four-year-old Amelia with his wife Emily and two children, 13-year-old son Junior and 11-year-old Princess, with his ex-wife Katie Price, both of whom are currently living at his home.
Although Pete already has four kids he and Emily, 29, won’t rule out having another baby in the future.
The qualified doctor previously said: “Pete said in a recent interview that he wants one more child but I can’t say I’m on the same page at the moment. I think he’s forgotten about the sleepless nights with Theo at the start. Maybe when I’ve dedicated a few years to my career I will think about having some more as I really want to get stuck into it next year.”

Beverley Mitchell says Jessica Biel supported her through miscarriage tragedy

OHMYGOSSIP — Beverley Mitchell says Jessica Biel was “very supportive” after her miscarriage.
The 37-year-old actress has revealed her ‘7th Heaven’ co-star was one of the very first people she told about her devastating news earlier this year.
She told PEOPLE magazine: “She was very supportive through everything and was always checking in on me.
“She was one of the first people I called and I’m just very grateful for her friendship and just her being just a frickin’ badass, awesome person.”
Beverley – who has son Hutton Michael, three, and daughter Kenzie Lynne, five, with husband Michael Cameron – opened up about her devastating experience on Thanksgiving (22.11.18), months after it happened.
On sharing her story, she added: “I’ve been wanting to do it for a few months now. I just couldn’t find the right words and every time I wrote something I felt like it was not coming off the right way.
“One day I’d be really angry about it and then I was like, ‘That’s not a good one.’ And another day I was really emotional and I was like, ‘Uy yuy yuy. That’s not a good one either.’
“And then finally I felt like I was able to speak out with a clear heart and get my point across, but not be overly one way or the other and maybe in a way that I thought the message would be heard a little better.”
Beverley found out she was pregnant with twins earlier in 2018 but had a miscarriage just a few weeks later.
She recently wrote in an emotional blog post: “A few weeks later, our new dream of our growing family came crashing down; we had a miscarriage. This was a shock. Honestly, my first instinct was to say I was fine, and to be honest, I was trying to be. I thought I had to be, for my family, for myself. I had to jump on a plane and go to work being surrounded by babies and kids while I was still miscarrying. That was interesting.
“My heart could not make sense of it. I never really considered that I would miscarry being that I had already had two healthy pregnancies. This was my misconception, you see, I didn’t know much about miscarriages and I didn’t know many people who had miscarried, or so I thought.”

Kym Marsh trying to ‘delay ageing process’ after grandmother news

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh is trying to “delay the ageing process” without having to turn to Botox after discovering she is to become a grandmother.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress announced last week that her daughter Emilie, 21, is expecting her first child, and the 42-year-old cobbles star – who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV soap – has booked up several treatments in an attempt to “knock years off”.
She said: “Emilie and I have both been really overwhelmed with all the lovely messages congratulating us on her pregnancy.
“And now that I’m going to be a grandmother, I’m trying to delay the ageing process without having to turn to Botox!
“I’ve booked myself in for a course of non-invasive firming and smoothing face treatments at a clinic in Manchester.
“They’re supposed to knock years off you, so I’ll let you know how I get on.
“I’ve also been back in the gym doing some personal training sessions after a bit of a break from exercising.
“I know most people wait until the new year before going on a health kick, but, the way I see it, if I exercise now, I can eat more chocolate over Christmas.”
As well as real-life pregnancy, Kym’s ‘Corrie’ co-star Elle Mulvaney’s character Amy Barlow is to find out she is expecting aged 14 years old in a new storyline – and Kym is pleased the pregnant plot will hand the 16-year-old star a chance to “show off her acting skills”.
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she added: “I was happy to hear the show is going to be tackling the issue of teenage pregnancy, with Amy Barlow, played by Elle Mulvaney, finding out she’s pregnant at the age of 14.
“It’s an important issue to tackle and a great chance for Elle to show off her acting skills.”

The 43-year-old retired football legend has taken fans on the road with him on new digital fan club OTRO, which gives supporters unprecedented access to the biggest names in the game.
In a clip filmed during one of his road trips, he told subscribers: “There’s something about being on a bike, being on your own …

Candice Huffine praises brands for body ‘inclusivity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Candice Huffine has partnered with Fossil for their new Sport Smartwatch campaign.
The 34-year-old beauty – who was the first plus-size model to appear in the prestigious Pirelli calendar – has praised the company for embracing “body inclusivity” and showing fitness advertisements should be aimed at more than just one body shape.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Candice said: “I think this Fossil campaign is proof of how much we have evolved in the space of inclusivity. Typically one body type has been portrayed in fitness advertisements.
“The fact that Fossil sees beyond size and recognises my strength and accomplishments as a woman and athlete means so much to me, which I feel is proof of true change towards the future I had personally always hoped for in this industry.”
The stunning brunette promotes body confidence and advocates for “consistency” in the fashion industry, and the star also confessed that she is “finally” starting to see change and wider inclusivity represented in “advertising”.
Candice added: “There is not one kind of body that works out, that wears bikinis, that is fashionable and the bubble, I feel, is finally bursting on that archaic form of advertising.
“True inspiration and aspiration lies in feeling seen, and encouraged to just be unapologetically you.
“My suggestion to the industry is just consistency and solid commitment. Brands, magazines, companies, television, etc. have to remain committed to constant diversity and inclusivity.
“There is no going back. This is how it is now and if you don’t double down and stay the course of celebrating the truth of all women, it will come off as tokenism.”

Robbie Williams blames himself for X Factor failure

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams blames himself for Acacia & Aaliyah’s ‘X Factor’ failure.
The 44-year-old believes he is the reason his act didn’t reach ‘The X Factor’ final this year, admitting he feels regretful that he wasn’t there to guide them while he was away from his judging spot on a pre-scheduled leg of his solo tour in South America.
The former Take That star told The Sun newspaper: “Had I been with them maybe I wouldn’t have had them perform ‘Maniac’.
“But from South America it’s difficult to feel the temperature of the performance.
“I watched it in Guadalajara in Mexico thinking, ‘I wish they hadn’t done that.’
“That’s down to me. My not being there cost them, I think.
“But I’m delusional and think I’m going to win everything, which is how I’ve got this far – delusions.”
While the teen duo – Acacia K, 15, and Aaliyah Robinson, 14 – didn’t win the competition, the ‘Angels’ hitmaker is sure that they will continue to find success and is keen to work with them again after they made a huge impression with their rap skills and energetic performances.
He said: “But Acacia & Aaliyah in particular have done all that they need to do to secure a future in the music industry.
“Hopefully, I’ll be working with them, if they want to work with me.”
Robbie has reflected on the pair after seeing Dalton Harris – who was mentored by Louis Tomlinson – beat off competition from Anthony Russell and Scarlett Lee to win this year’s ‘X Factor’ in yesterday’s (02.12.18) final.
Robbie has previously praised the 24-year-old champion’s exceptional talent.
He said: “‘The X Factor’ is made to find people like Anthony Russell, but for you I’m baffled that you haven’t already got six albums under your belt, or that you’re not sat here on this side judging me and telling me how to be better.”

Nicole Kidman’s Destroyer set shut down by gunman

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman was left fearing for her life when a “real shooter” came onto the set of her movie ‘Destroyer’ which was being filmed in the “very worst neighbourhoods of Los Angeles”.
The 51-year-old Hollywood actress stars in director Karyn Kusama’s upcoming crime drama in which she portrays LAPD detective Erin Bell who must revisit an undercover gang case from her early days in the police force which had tragic consequences.
The movie – which sees Bell work her way back into favour with the gang’s members when the leader is released from prison – was shot on location in some of the most crime-ridden areas of LA and one day of shooting was interrupted when a gunman appeared leaving the cast and crew panicking for their safety.
Speaking to The Observer newspaper about the incident, she said: “We didn’t have much money so we did long hours and it was wet and cold and we were in the very worst neighbourhoods of LA. One time we got shut down because there was a real shooter on the set. Everyone was shouting, ‘Get down! Stay down!’ And I’m lying there with a gun, thinking, ‘Well, if this guy is going to shoot anyone it’s me, the person lying down holding a big gun.’ It was quite intense.”
The ‘Big Little Lies’ actress stars opposite Sebastian Stan and Tatiana Maslany in the soon-to-be-released flick and she desperately wanted to take on the role of Erin because she wanted to support 50-year-old director Kusama – whose previous work includes 2005 sci-fi film ‘Aeon Flux’ and 2009 horror comedy ‘Jennifer’s Body’, which starred Megan Fox as a high school cheerleader who is possessed by a flesh-eating demon.
Kidman explained: “I wanted in part to go and support a female director, who is not 21, and has taken a few hits herself. There are suddenly a few more opportunities for female actors out there.”

Adam Woodyatt ‘hates’ EastEnders doof doof moment

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Woodyatt “hates” getting a doof doof moment on ‘EastEnders’.
The 50-year-old actor has played Ian Beale on the soap since the first-ever episode on February 19, 1985, but he can’t stand acting out the iconic cliffhanger moments, which are accompanied by a dramatic drum sound, because he has to stand “like a lemon” while portraying such tense scenes.
He said: “I hate those bits, you have to stand there for four seconds like a lemon. You’d respond normally, in the real world.
“Someone has just given you some vital information like, ‘Cindy’s dead.’ You’d say something.
“Actually trying to stand there for four seconds and not do anything …”
Despite being an Albert Square resident since 1985, Adam doesn’t assume his contract will be renewed, and didn’t have any expectations that the show would be a hit when it first started.
He said: “I didn’t have any expectations, and I still don’t.
“I never looked, and I still don’t, past the date on my contract.
“I just presume that on that date it stops, until they give me a new contract …
“How else can you look at it? You can’t take it for granted.”
Speaking about what it would be like when he departs Albert Square, he said: “It’ll be like the ravens leaving the tower.”
Adam admits the cast and crew started to believe the soap would be a success in Christmas 1986 when more than 30 million people tuned in to see ‘Dirty’ Den Watts (Leslie Grantham) hand divorce papers to wife Angie Watts (Anita Dobson).
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, he added: “I think in Christmas 86 everybody started realising, ‘This really is a beast.’ Over 30 million viewers for Christmas Day.
“You look at the viewing figures now and if a drama gets eight million it’s considered a hit.
“All the soaps have dropped off.”
