OHMYGOSSIP — Kat Von D has given birth to her first child.
The 36-year-old tattoo artist and her husband Leafar Seyer – whose real name is Rafael Reyes – have welcomed their baby boy Leafar Von D Reyes into the world, and made the announcement with a sweet father and son photo.
Writing on Instagram, former ‘LA Ink’ star Kat revealed: “Meet our beautiful baby boy, Leafar Von D Reyes.
“Thank you to all our beloved friends+family, fans+followers for you patience in us announcing his long awaited arrival!
“To be honest, my husband @prayers and I want to take the net 40 days (the 4th trimester) to focus on the baby and our amazing relationship transitioning into amazing parenthood – so, please excuse us if we’re not on here as much for a little while.
“Just know we love you all and thank you for all the words of love+support!”
In May, the loved up couple revealed they were expecting their first child.
Kat’s husband said at the time: “When I thought I had it all. Life gifts me with the greatest of joys ! We are pregnant and having a baby boy. I love you @thekatvond and Im ready to be a father to our son Leafar. Thank you my love our family comes first !!! (sic)”
The happy news comes just over two months after Kat and the Prayers singer tied the knot, which the tattoo artist revealed in another social media post.
She wrote at the time: “Today, I married my soul’s mate, my mind’s twin, my best friend: @prayers Juntos en vida y en muerte (sic)”
Leafar, 42, shared the same picture on his Instagram page and admitted Kat was the girl of his “dreams”.
He wrote in the caption: “Today I married the girl of my dreams [ En Vida Y En Muerte ] (sic)”
For Kat – whose full name is Katherine von Drachenberg – the news also comes after she has been fairly unlucky in love in the past.
The star married fellow tattooist Oliver Peck in 2003 but they split in August 2007 and she went on to date Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx a year later.
She got engaged to Jesse James in January 2011 following his failed five-year marriage to Sandra Bullock, but by September that year they had split.
Kat later got engaged to Deadmau5 in December 2012 but they confirmed their split in June 2013.

Kim Kardashian West would make longer Paris visit

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West would “feel safe and comfortable” having a longer stay in Paris.
The reality TV star returned to the French capital – the first time she’d been back since her hotel robbery at gunpoint in 2006 – earlier this year to support her husband Kanye West at the Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2019 menswear fashion show, and it helped her overcome her fears.
Speaking on ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, she reflected: “I don’t think I’ll ever really forget my experiences in Paris — the good or the bad — and I think that’s okay.
“It all has made me who I am. Thinking about it, I think I could go back and spend more time and feel safe and comfortable.”
Kim, 37, decided to make the difficult return after her horrific ordeal two years ago following a conversation with her man.
The 41-year-old rapper was flying to the City of Love in June to support his longtime friend Virgil Abloh, who is Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Artistic Director.
He said: “I don’t want to put any pressure on you to go to Paris. I know that was really hard the last time you were in Paris. “So I think just for the culture, for Kim K. to show up to the first black designer at [a] Louis Vuitton show who was the best man at my wedding, just the world would just love to see you there.”
While Kim admitted on Sunday’s episode (02.12.18) that being in Paris brought back memories of the robbery, she was “so glad” to have done it.
She added: “It was so good. Like, honestly, I’m so glad we went. Like [Kanye] had to be there…
“For a second, I was like, I was so stressed out over my security, just the movement of everyone. But other that, it was fine. I didn’t really have a lot of anxiety.”

Bruce Springsteen plans new album and UK tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Springsteen is working on a brand new album and confirmed plans for a UK tour.
The ‘Born To Run’ star – whose debut LP ‘Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.’ was released in 1974 – admitted he sees no reason why he can’t keep going for at least another decade, and revealed he plans to follow up his Broadway show by getting back to his “day job” of being a touring musician.
Speaking about his plans for a new album, he told the Sunday Times newspaper: “For lack of a better word, it’s a singer-songwriter album — more of a solo record.”
The Boss made it clear retirement isn’t an option for him at the moment, and the 69-year-old rocker admitted he always wished he’d seen what the likes of Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix would have been doing if they’d lived longer.
He added: “I’m suited for the long haul. I’m interested in what I might accomplish over a lifetime of music making. I would like to have a 70-year-old Elvis reinventing his talents and [seen] where Jimi Hendrix might’ve next taken the electric guitar.”
His comments come after Springsteen revealed music had helped him find an escape and deal with the depression he battled in his youth.
He recently said: “When I was a child, and into my teens…I felt like a very, very empty vessel.
“And it wasn’t until I began to fill it up with music that I began to feel my own personal power and my impact on my friends and the small world that I was in. I began to get some sense of myself. But it came out of a place of real emptiness.”

James Argent planning to marry Gemma Collins in 2019

OHMYGOSSIP — James ‘Arg’ Argent is planning to marry Gemma Collins next year if she accepts his “huge proposal”.
The ‘TOWIE’ original – who first appeared on the reality show when it launched in 2010 – and his co-star have had an on/off relationship over the years, and after recently moving into together, the couple have revealed they are planning to take their relationship to the next level in 2019.
In a joint interview with OK! magazine, Arg, 30, spilled about his big plans to pop the question: “I’ve got a few ideas up my sleeve! I can’t tell you when but I’m definitely asking Gemma to be my wife next year.
“It’s going to be a huge proposal, I won’t be doing it by halves.”
The ‘Dancing on Ice’ star – who is also known as ‘The GC’ – is expecting a “very romantic” proposal from her man.
She added: “It might surprise people but James is actually very romantic, so I know his proposal will be really well thought out.”
Arg admitted that they could end up having “five weddings” because there are so many places close to their heart, including Marbella, Spain, where the pair shared their first love-making session.
He said: “We love the idea of getting married in Essex or Brighton as they’re both special places to us, or we might go abroad and do it in Italy or Spain.
“The first time we made love was in Marbella, so it would be nice to get married there. It’s going to be hard choosing just one place – we’ll probably end up having five wedding days.”
It’s not just wedding bells that are in sight for the loved-up pair, as Gemma, 37, has revealed she wants to start a family with her future husband, but not until she’s in her forties.
She said: “I probably won’t have a baby until I’m at least 40, but I’m okay with that.”

Billy Connolly ‘just got stoned’ when he tried marijuana to treat Parkinson’s

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Billy Connolly tried smoking marijuana to treat his Parkinson’s disease but just got “stoned” instead.
The 76-year-old comedian admitted while he hadn’t had the drug in about three decades, he decided to see if it would help with the incurable disorder – which leaves him shaking and struggling to move – but it didn’t quite go to plan.
Speaking to the Radio Times, he revealed: “I just got bomb happy. Just stoned. It was quite pleasant, but I don’t want to do that every day.
“I was never very good with marijuana, I always got too stoned and it always lasted too long. I stopped all that about 30 years ago.”
The star – who was diagnosed in 2013 – also took the opportunity to fire back at Sir Michael Parkinson, after the 83-year-old recalled a “sad and awkward” meeting with Billy and said he wasn’t sure the comic recognised him.
Now, he has angrily responded: “These Yorkshiremen, I don’t think they apologise much. I wasn’t disappointed, it just made my life a bit difficult.
“People feeling sorry for me, I don’t like that. They read about me in the papers and think, ‘Oh, he’s not well.’
“They’re right, but I’m not as bad as they think I am… He should get on with selling funerals and leave me alone.”
Meanwhile, last month Billy revealed he is willing to be a “guinea pig” in a bid to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease, which causes parts of the brain to become progressively damaged over years.
He admitted he’s been in contact with stem cell scientists at Harvard University about using him to advance their research and, hopefully in the long run, discover a cure for the condition.
Speaking in an extract taken from a book, published by The Scotsman, he said: “I’ve spoken to guys working on it at Harvard and told them I’ll be a guinea pig for them. I think they are going to take me up on that.”

Halsey slams Victoria’s Secret show

OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey has slammed the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for its lack of inclusivity.
The 24-year-old star was one of the performers at the annual lingerie catwalk extravaganza on November 8 and though she had hoped the evening would be her highlight of 2018, she has now distanced herself and called for those who had enjoyed watching the show when it finally aired on TV on Sunday (02.12.18) to support LGBTQ+ young people.
Halsey seemed to responding to a recent Vogue interview with Victoria’s Secret’s vice president of public relations, Ed Razek, caused a stir when he insisted the iconic show shouldn’t include “transsexuals” – an outdated term for the transgender community – because it is meant to be a “fantasy”.
Halsey shared a statement on Instagram, written in the pink and white of Victoria’s Secret, which read: “I have adored the Victoria’s Secret fashion show since I was young. Performing this year alongside other amazing artists and hardworking models/friends was supposed to be the best night of my year,” she wrote. “However, after I filmed the performance, some comments were made regarding the show that I simply cannot ignore.
“As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I have no tolerance for a lack of inclusivity. Especially not one motivated by stereotype.
If you’re on my page because you watched my performance tonight, please allow me to instead direct your attention to GLSEN: An organization that offers services aimed at protecting LGBTQ+ youth. And with respect to those youth targeted by these comments in a world where they have been made to feel ‘other’, I have made a sizable donation in their honor.
“If you are a trans person reading this, and these comments made you feel alienated or invalidated please know that you have allies. We stand in solidarity, and complete and total acceptance is the only “fantasy” that I support…(sic)”
Ed caused a stir when he was asked about using trans models in the show.
He said: “Shouldn’t you have transsexuals in the show? No. No, I don’t think we should. Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy. It’s a 42-minute entertainment special. That’s what it is. It is the only one of its kind in the world, and any other fashion brand in the world would take it in a minute, including the competitors that are carping at us.”

Bhavna Limbachia told she was ‘too pale’ for TV role

OHMYGOSSIP — Bhavna Limbachia was once told she was “too pale” to play an Asian character.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who portrays Rana Nazir on the ITV soap – was surprised to be told she was too light in colour to take on a character from the continent, because she is “full Asian”.
Bhavna – who is of Gujarati origin – said: “With costume, it’s about how good you are, how creative you are … with acting it was, ‘You’re too tall. You’re too short. You’re too fat. You’re too thin.’
“I once went to a job and was told I was too pale to play an Asian character and I said, ‘I’m full Asian.’ ”
While Bhavna always harboured ambitions to be an actress, she started her career in costume design, but decided enough was enough when holding an umbrella for her former ‘Corrie’ co-star Connor McIntyre (Pat Phelan) in freezing conditions on the set of BBC Three comedy-drama ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’.
Speaking to A-Magazine, she added: “In a way, I did my plan B first.
“The more I was backstage or behind the camera, the more I wanted to be in front of the camera.
“The last costume job I did was ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’ with Connor McIntyre for BBC Three … It was minus three degrees.
“I was holding Connor’s umbrella thinking, ‘I can’t do this anymore.’ I can’t regret something I didn’t do – it just doesn’t make sense.”
Bhavna joined ‘Corrie’ as Rana – the soap’s first-ever gay Muslim character – in 2016, and she hopes her and Faye Brookes’ (Kate Connor) lesbian love affair storyline will help “educate” viewers on the struggles some gay people still face.
She recently said: “I felt such a huge responsibility to get the story right so I went away and did a lot of research, even though it was a big weight on my shoulders I just wanted to make sure I did the storyline justice.
“The storyline is there not to offend people, it’s to educate them, it’s to spark conversation so it’s there to make people aware that there is support available.”

John Barrowman back in camp

OHMYGOSSIP — John Barrowman has returned to the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ camp.
The 51-year-old actor was left in agony when he fell down some steps in the dark in scenes aired on Sunday (02.12.18) evening’s show, but after being checked over in hospital, he’s now been allowed back to join his fellow contestants after it was confirmed he hadn’t been seriously injured but has a sprained ankle.
A show spokesperson confirmed: “John Barrowman sustained a sprain to his ankle but is now back in the jungle.”
Despite being whisked out of the camp after his fall, both producers and the ‘Torchwood’ actor himself were hopeful he’d be back and wouldn’t have to withdraw from the competition.
A source told The Sun online: “Crew members wanted to make sure that John was medically safe, but once they saw him walking on it they were hopeful it was just a sprain.
“Once that was confirmed by an X-ray he was determined to get back to camp.
“He’s not a quitter and wants to see how far he can go in the competition. As well as finding it hard he’s relishing the challenge and loving getting to know new people.”
While in hospital, John was placed on lockdown and not allowed to make contact with his family, check his phone or watch TV, and he was given basic food after missing a meal with his campmates.
The rest of the group – which has dwindled in recent days following the eviction of Noel Edmonds and Malique Thompson-Dwyer – are said to be delighted to have him back in camp.

George Lucas praises Gloria Katz for her strong writing for female characters

OHMYGOSSIP — George Lucas has paid tribute to late screenwriter Gloria Katz for her ability to “smartly forward the female point of view” on screen.
Katz passed away at the age of 76 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles after a battle with ovarian cancer on November 25 on what was her 49th wedding anniversary to husband and collaborator Willard Huyck.
The couple worked with Lucas, 74, on several movies, including coming-of-age comedy ‘American Graffiti’, ‘Howard the Duck’ and ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’, and they also secretly helped him finish his script for 1977’s ‘Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope’.
Remembering her unique contributions to the movies they worked on together, Lucas spoke about her ability to create comedy and also write fully rounded female characters.
He told the New York Times newspaper: “Gloria was great in her writing and humor in terms of creating character and smartly forwarding the female point of view which she did on both ‘American Graffiti’ and ‘Howard the Duck,’ along with a dialogue polish on ‘Star Wars’ that was just plain funny.”
Katz’s impact on ‘Star Wars’ included her helping Lucas redefine Carrie Fisher’s alter ego Princess Leia by convincing him to make her a tougher character and as heroic as Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford)
Speaking about her contribution, Katz had said: “She can take command; she doesn’t take any s**t, but at the same time she’s vulnerable … instead of just a beautiful woman that schlepped along to be saved.”

Dara O’Briain to host new series of Blockbusters

OHMYGOSSIP — Dara O’Briain is to host a new series of ‘Blockbusters’.
The 46-year-old comic will front a comedy reboot of the classic game show – which pits students against one another in a test of their general knowledge – for Comedy Central and while he’s “delighted” to be taking on the hosting role previously held by Bob Holness, he joked he’ll be maintaining a straight-face throughout the alphabet-based programme’s most famous innuendo-laden request.
He said: “I’m delighted to take over this classic quiz-show, and with it, the speculation that, like Bob Holness, I played the saxophone on the original recording of ‘Baker St’. For the record, I did not, although I did play the Marimba on ‘I Shot the Sheriff’.
“However, I will not be laughing at contestants saying ‘I’d like a P please, Dara’, just as I haven’t laughed at the planet ‘Uranus’ in 10 years of ‘Stargazing Live’. See, I can do serious.”
Two series of the show, a total of 20 episodes including two celebrity specials, will be filmed early next year and Comedy Central have confirmed they will stick with the original format, with players crossing a hexagonal board by answering questions connected with a letter before taking on the gold run.
Phil Harris, Creative Director of Thames TV, said: “We are beyond thrilled to be bringing back our legendary gameshow ‘Blockbusters’, which has always been a real fan favourite.
“The relaunch of this time-honoured and successful format, combined with Dara’s comedic talent, is guaranteed to be a winning formula and we couldn’t think of a better home for it than Comedy Central.”
Louise Holmes, Vice President, General Manager, Comedy Central UK, added: “One of the UK’s most beloved gameshow formats, ‘Blockbusters’ is an iconic show that a lot of people hold close to their hearts.
“Dara O’Briain, is the perfect quizmaster for the comedy reboot of this nostalgic show. That famous ‘Blockbusters’ theme tune will once again be hummed in living rooms up and down the country very soon!”

Jennifer Aniston: I wasn’t the model child my mom hoped for

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Aniston channelled her difficult relationship with her own mother into her latest role in ‘Dumplin”.
The 49-year-old actress plays the retired beauty queen mother (Rosie) of a plus-sized daughter (Willowdean) in the forthcoming Netflix musical comedy, and has opened up about how she herself always felt like she was not the “model child” her late parent, Nancy Dow, “had hoped for”.
Jennifer admitted: “She was a model and she was all about presentation and what she looked like and what I looked like.
“I did not come out the model child she’s hoped for and it was something that really resonated with me.”
Speaking about the film, the former ‘Friends’ star added to Australia’s The Sunday Telegraph newspaper: “This little girl just wanting to be loved by a mum that was too occupied with things that didn’t quite matter.”
Jennifer was estranged from her mother, but when she heard she was seriously unwell in May 2016, she visited Nancy for the first time in five years, and she later passed away after suffering a stroke.
The ‘Mother’s Day’ star had previously admitted her mum was “very critical” of her.
Nancy didn’t help the situation when she published a tell-all book, ‘From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir’, about Jennifer’s life in 2009.
Speaking previously, she said: “She was critical. She was very critical of me.
“Because she was a model, she was gorgeous, stunning. I wasn’t. I never was. I honestly still don’t think of myself in that sort of light, which is fine.
“There are people in my life that are like, ‘How do you even talk to that guy?’ But what’s the point of holding on to [anger]? That’s so toxic.”
Nancy married actor John Aniston in 1965 but they divorced when Jennifer was just nine years old.

Meryl Streep praises Bradley Cooper’s director skills

OHMYGOSSIP — Meryl Streep has praised Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut in ‘A Star Is Born’.
The 69-year-old actress praised Bradley’s work on the recent musical remake – which was also written by and starred the 43-year-old actor – and Meryl admitted that usually when film stars direct movies they give “actors too much air” and don’t “cut as brutally” in order to move the story along.
Speaking at Montclair Film Festival’s annual ‘An Evening with Stephen Colbert’ fundraiser, she said: “It’s so breezily shot, it’s not actor shot. Actors who direct give the actors too much air. They don’t cut as brutally as you need to in order to move the story.
“To them, the character is more interesting than the forward movement of the narrative. But Bradley kept it moving. [It’s] brilliant.”
The ‘Mamma Mia!’ actress also went on to speak about her ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ co-star Emily Blunt for her performance in their latest film together ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ and says the Disney sequel is “like a tiny gift to America’.
She said: “The movie is just great, I don’t say this about all my movies, but this is not my movie, this is Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s movie. It’s like a little tiny gift to America at Christmas.”
In the movie – which is a sequel to 1964 classic Mary Poppins which starred Dame Julie Andrews in the titular role – Streep plays Topsy, the eccentric cousin on Blunt’s magical nanny Mary Poppins.
