David Walliams is ‘praying’ for one of his books to be made into a movie

OHMYGOSSIP — David Walliams is “praying” one of his books will be made into a movie.
The 47-year-old comedian has revealed that seeing his books turned into TV adaptations has given him hope that one day, his novels will also make it onto the big screen.
He said: “You write the books and that’s one thing and then they can become other things.
“TV shows and theatre shows and everything. I mean one day, we are praying for a film.”
The Britain’s Got Talent judge has sold more than 25 million copies of his books and is hopeful that one of his creations will finally hit the big screen because his works – such as ‘Rat Burger’, ‘Billionaire Boy,’ ‘Mr Stink’ and upcoming BBC series ‘Midnight Gang’ – have only been adapted for TV movies and specials so far.
The British star has previously spoken about his burning desire to see one of his novels be made into a “great big-budget movie” because his success as a novelist has made him dream big and want to push his career further.
He previously shared: “I’m writing more and more thinking I really want someone to make a great big budget movie out of one of my books.
“Success is a good thing. It makes you feel more confident in what you do so you try harder and go further with what you do.”
David admitted he is a reclusive writer – much like children’s novelist Roald Dahl, who wrote in his garden shed – because he gets frustrated when people bother him when he is working.
He said: “People always ask about Roald Dahl and his shed.
“I think he had his shed so people couldn’t come up to him and ask him annoying questions!”

Speaking on ‘Loose Women’, she said: “His mum has never left her home for Christmas, so it’s a big deal. My family are coming so all together there’s about 20 of us, everyone’s gonna bring a dish because, obviously, my oven isn’t big enough for 20. I’m really excited … it just feels heart-warming.”
Although Zach and Leighton spilt their time between her and their fathers Dean Cox and Aaron Barnham equally she confessed her kids don’t mind and still “absolutely love” the day.
She said: “My children obviously have half the day with me half the day with their dad and they absolutely love it they get excited we alternate every year.”
Although Stacey can’t wait to spend the holiday cosying up with the 36-year-old presenter she has admitted that the first time the pair kissed was less than romantic.
Stacey – who appeared alongside him on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ spin-off ‘Extra Camp’ in 2016 – previously said: “My first kiss with Joe was really awkward. I love kissing Joe and since then it’s been wonderful, but the first one was horrid! He basically helped me get all my bags ready to leave the jungle, left my room, and the knocked back on the door and just ran over and kissed me. I had no idea that that was about to happen and just … I didn’t know what to do.”

Jeffrey Dean Morgan adopts an inseparable emu and donkey

OHMYGOSSIP — The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan has adopted an emu and donkey who had forged an inseparable bond to give them a “forever home”.
The 52-year-old American actor may be best known for playing villainous character Negan in the zombie apocalypse series, however, on Tuesday evening (04.12.18) he proved he has a heart of gold by taking the animal duo, named Jack and Diane, to his New York farm that he shares with his wife Hilarie Burton, 36, after discovering their one-of-a-kind love story on social media.
On Twitter, Jeffrey wrote: “Hey there … read the story… if you are looking for a forever home for jack and diane? Happy to take them, and keep them together at our farm. They would be a welcome addition to our menagerie of happy creatures. Xojd (sic)”
Carolina Waterfowl Rescue posted on Tuesday evening via Facebook (05.12.18): “Loading up the trailer with our super star donkey emu team. We loaded Jack first and Diane stayed near him looking concerned. Once he was out of sight she frantically drummed for him. She willingly loaded up and has settled down next to Jack. We decided to leave in the wee hours so we can get them to their new home before lunch and have some good daylight time for them to get settled. Emus also travel better at night when it’s dark. We will be on the road for the next couple of hours while Jack and Diane sleep. They will wake up and be at their new home with Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton.
“We are excited and hope that everyone can keep up with Jack and Diane at their new home. Jeffrey frequently posts pictures of his farm and animals on social media. (sic)”
The actor took to Twitter to say that the duo even remained inseparable during the journey to Jeffrey’s farm, as Diane had crawled underneath the door and “laid between Jack’s legs”.
Jeffrey added: “One last story about J&D. When they got here today… in a 3 or 4 stall trailer … Diane had crawled underneath the door separating them and rode for god knows how many hours, laying beneath/between Jacks legs. Made me smile big. Love is an amazing thing. Goodnight. (sic)”

Although Chyna was not being in the car at the time of the incident, the two women filed against her, and ‘Boss Nails’ star Paige, stating that she should’ve known Paige was a “bad driver” and should have never let her get behind the wheel of her vehicle. They had been demanding medical expenses, loss of wages and other damages.
On December 4, Zohar and Michaela filed court documents revealing the entire case has been settled after the two claimants reached a deal with the defendants that dismissed all claims against them.
Documents obtained by The Blast, state that all the future hearings will be vacated and the parties will appear in court in January to officially dismiss the case.

OHMYGOSSIP — David Gandy has become a father for the first time.
The 38-year-old model has announced via his Instagram account that his girlfriend, barrister Stephanie Mendoros, gave birth to a baby girl named Matilda last week.
Alongside a photograph of his baby snuggled up in a papoose, David wrote: “Daddy, Dora and new addition Matilda out for our first dog walk together this morning. Baby Matilda was born last week, both mother and baby doing incredibly well. Only worrying thing is I’m now totally outnumbered by females in my house! (sic)”
David – who previously dated pop star Mollie King – first confirmed Stephanie was pregnant back in June.
At the time, he quipped: “I think we’re going to need a bigger car.”
The catwalk hunk – who has been dating Stephanie for two years – admitted they were determined to keep the sex of their baby a secret.
He said: “We’re expecting our first in November. We’re both thrilled. Absolutely delighted. It’s our first. It’s all very new to us. We’re taking every day and week as it comes. It should be fun. We don’t know I it’s a boy or a girl and we’re not planning to find out.”

Emily Blunt says Julie Andrews was ‘supportive’ of Mary Poppins role

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt says Dame Julie Andrews was “incredibly supportive” of her playing the titular role in ‘Mary Poppins Returns’.
The 35-year-old actress has put her own spin on the iconic nanny role – which was first portrayed by the 83-year-old star in the Disney 1964 classic – in the new movie and Emily has revealed Andrews was “excited” for her to play the magical character, but chose not be in the reboot because she didn’t want to take the limelight from her.
Speaking to Hugh Jackman for Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’, Emily said: “I met her years ago at some event. And she was so charming and so lovely. Little did I know that years later I would be off playing Mary Poppins. But Rob [Marshall, the director] was very close with her; she was incredibly supportive of me playing the part and excited for me to do it.
“There was discussion about [how] maybe she would come and do a bit in the movie. She said to Rob, ‘This is Emily’s version of her, and I don’t want it to be that she’s playing Mary Poppins the whole way through, but then I come in like, Oh, but there’s the real Mary Poppins.’
“She didn’t want that for me, which I thought was incredibly gracious. I hope she’ll come to the premiere.”
The English beauty also confessed that she “scream cried” when she first saw the film and admitted she was “proud” to be cast in the Disney flick and play such an iconic role.
Emily added: “I sort of ‘scream cried’ after watching it. It was completely overwhelming. And I’m really not one of these people that’s like, ‘You should see my movie.’
“I’ve never been. It is still tricky to watch stuff that you do. I tend to pick it apart a bit. But I watched it completely alone, and I was so proud to be in it.”

Miley Cyrus’ guitars stolen in storage unit raid

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus has had $10,000 worth of guitars stolen by burglars who raided her storage unit.
According to TMZ, the 26-year-old singer’s storage unit in the San Fernando Valley was broken into and criminals made off with the instruments which were worth thousands of dollars.
It is unclear how thieves gained access to the unit, however, the heist reportedly went unnoticed as the ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker assumed family members had borrowed the instruments and its thought that the actual crime occurred at some point in October.
The bad news comes after the ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ hitmaker and her fiancé Liam Hemsworth were among the thousands of people forced to evacuate their homes after the devastating Woolsey Fire tore through the Malibu and Calabasas area last month.
The couple’s Malibu property was destroyed in the blaze and Miley has admitted she is still coming to terms with what happened.
She previously said: “Honestly, I’m in a really good kind of healing place right now. I’ve definitely learned a lot.”
The ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’ singer says the wildfire invoked a “deep character challenge” and made her realise what her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, meant when he told her that “life is a series of adjustments”.
She explained: “My dad has always told me, ‘Life is a series of adjustments.’ And sometimes we never understand what our parents are telling us until we start to experience life more because they learn those things as they go. So I’m starting to really understand what that means now. I think experiencing something as life-changing and devastating as a natural disaster, it’s a really deep character challenge, I think, to see the way you react to loss.”

Lena Dunham regrets defending Girls writer over rape allegations

OHMYGOSSIP — Lena Dunham believes she made a “terrible mistake” in defending ‘Girls’ writer Murray Miller when he was accused of rape last year.
The 32-year-old actress and ‘Girls’ creator publicly spoke in defence of Murray last year when Aurora Perrineau alleged he had raped her in 2012 when she was 17 and he was 35, but has now said she “regrets” the decision, which she described as “inexcusable”.
In an open letter published by The Hollywood Reporter, she wrote: “I made a terrible mistake. When someone I knew, someone I had loved as a brother, was accused, I did something inexcusable: I publicly spoke up in his defense. There are few acts I could ever regret more in this life.
“I didn’t have the ‘insider information’ I claimed but rather blind faith in a story that kept slipping and changing and revealed itself to mean nothing at all. I wanted to feel my workplace and my world were safe, untouched by the outside world (a privilege in and of itself, the privilege of ignoring what hasn’t hurt you) and I claimed that safety at cost to someone else, someone very special.”
Lena went on to speak directly to Aurora, and said she was working to “right that wrong” she believes she committed by defending Murray.
She continued: “To Aurora: You have been on my mind and in my heart every day this year. I love you. I will always love you. I will always work to right that wrong. In that way, you have made me a better woman and a better feminist. You shouldn’t have been given that job in addition to your other burdens, but here we are, and here I am asking: How do we move forward? Not just you and I but all of us, living in the gray space between admission and vindication.
“It’s painful to realize that, while I thought I was self-aware, I had actually internalized the dominant male agenda that asks us to defend it no matter what, protect it no matter what, baby it no matter what. Something in me still feels compelled to do that job: to please, to tidy up, to shopkeep. My job now is to excavate that part of myself and to create a new cavern inside me where a candle stays lit, always safely lit, and illuminates the wall behind it where these words are written: I see you, Aurora. I hear you, Aurora. I believe you, Aurora.”
The actress closed out her letter by apologising, and said it is important to “listen” to the women “moving forward from trauma”.
She wrote: “I’m sorry. Moving forward from trauma is never easy, but there are brave women doing it for us. All we have to do is listen.
“Love and more of that, Lena.”

Brie Larson saddened by ‘segregated’ movie business

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson is saddened to think Hollywood has been “segregated” for so long.
The 29-year-old actress stars alongside Michael B. Jordan in the upcoming biographical drama ‘Just Mercy’ – which is the first Warner Bros. film to come with a so-called inclusion rider – and Brie has spoken about the difficulties of implementing the policy, which is designed to increase diversity among the cast and crew.
She explained: “When it came time to implement it, Warner Bros. wasn’t quite [comfortable with] an actor implementing it. So Michael worked with them [as an executive producer].
“‘Just Mercy’ filmed in Atlanta, so they were able to pull from a certain talent pool there, but I also think they had to fly in certain people in order to meet the quota they were committed to.”
Brie relished the experience of making the movie, which is set for release in 2020.
However, the shoot also led her to reflect on the lack of diversity in the film industry more broadly.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “The movie was made with more than 70 percent people of colour, and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. It was the first time in my career that I had hair, make-up and wardrobe crew that were all people of colour. I’ve been in the Screen Actors Guild since I was seven years old.
“Twenty years I’ve been surrounded by white people. It saddens me to recognise that we’ve been segregated in this way within our industry.”
But Brie intends to encourage greater diversity moving forwards, revealing how she’ll approach the issue ahead of the release of ‘Captain Marvel’ next year.
The actress – who plays the iconic superhero in the upcoming movie – said: “On the ‘Captain Marvel’ press tour, I’ll be pushing for representation across the board: my interviews, magazine covers, the clothes that I’m wearing. It means spending more time thinking about things than you sometimes want to, but it’s worth it.”

Ariana Grande grateful for failed romances

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande is “grateful” for all her past romances – “no matter what happens”.
The 25-year-old singer has enjoyed romances with the likes of ex-fiancé Pete Davidson – whom she split with in October following five months of dating and a four month engagement – late rapper Mac Miller, and rapper Big Sean.
And although she laments not being able to “meet someone at a bar” because of her high profile, she says she’s grateful for the time she spends in her romances, no matter how public they become.
When asked about her public relationships, she said: “This is how I meet people – I can’t just, like, meet someone at a bar. I live fast and full-out, and I make mistakes, and I learn from them and I’m grateful no matter what happens.”
The ‘Thank U, Next’ hitmaker – who is still grieving the loss of her former partner Mac Miller, who passed away in September at the age of 26 – finds comfort in her music, and says there’s “not much” that she’s “afraid of anymore”.
She said: “I guess there’s not much I’m afraid of anymore … When life tries you with such serious s**t so many times, your priorities change. I don’t give a s**t. I just want to be happy and healthy – one day – and make music.”
And Ariana isn’t interested in “conforming to the pop star agenda”.
Speaking to Billboard magazine, the ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ singer said: “I don’t want to do what people tell me to do, I don’t want to conform to the pop star agenda. I want to do it on my own terms from now on. If I want to tour two albums at once, I’m going to tour two albums at once. If I want to drop a third album while I’m on tour [in 2019], I’ll do that too! Please. [‘Thank U, Next’ production duo] Social House is my opening act – you don’t think we’re going to have a studio on the bus? That we’re not going to be making records on the road? Of course we are. I want to be able to do what is authentic and honest and natural. It’s the only way that I’ve been able to survive.”

Hugh Jackman wants to sing on stage with cast of Oklahoma!

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman wants to “reunite” the cast of his 1999 film ‘Oklahoma!’ to perform with him on stage.
The 50-year-old Australian actor played Curly McLain in the movie directed by Trevor Nunn, which is based on the Richard Rodgers and librettist Oscar Hammerstein II musical of the same name.
The movie featured the entire 1998 London revival cast from the Royal National Theatre and Hugh has a “little idea” to reunite with his castmates when he tours his ‘Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show’ tour in 2019 and he has already been talking to his former co-star Maureen Lipman – who played Aunt Eller – about his plan.
Speaking to Heart Online, Hugh said: “I was emailing Maureen the other day. I have a little idea, but I think I’m going to have to do a little ‘Oklahoma!’ reunion and try and get a bunch of them out on stage. I haven’t even told them yet, so they’re gonna read it here first. It’s the most exciting news for me, I’m so excited about it I can’t tell you. My big break internationally was in the West End doing ‘Oklahoma!’ and I’ve not performed here since.”
The ‘Logan’ star is hugely excited about his upcoming world tour and admits doing a concert tour has been on his “bucket list” for many years.
He added: “This is a bucket list for me, I’m so lucky that I get to do movies and theatre but it’s not everyday I get to do arenas and go around the UK and Ireland. You’re gonna hear songs from ‘The Greatest Showman’, from ‘Les Mis’, from stuff I’ve done from the last 25 years on stage, in the West End and on Broadway. You’re gonna hear a lot of stories about myself. It’s very self-indulgent, the entire thing. It’s all about me. It’s about the first 50 years of my life. I’m going to dance and sing and pretend that I’m 30. I’m going to have an orchestra, dancers, singers. When I go to any kind of show, I love that sparkle where I feel like something happens that night that doesn’t happen any other night, so that will be the goal.”

Emily Blunt is too scared to do a Broadway musical

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt is scared of performing in a musical on Broadway – because her “worst nightmare” is having her voice break on stage.
The 35-year-old actress has had singing roles in Hollywood movies including 2014’s ‘Into The Woods’ and ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ – which is set for release later this month – but doesn’t think she’d ever take up a role in a theatre musical because she’d be too worried about having her voice break in the middle of a musical number.
Speaking to Hugh Jackman for Variety’s Actors on Actors series, she said: “[Musicals are] the thing I haven’t done. Do you know what worst nightmare is? Of singing and having that moment where your voice [breaks] or something like that. Like, my worst nightmare is my voice just breaking at the wrong moment. I’ve just never had training.”
But Hugh – who has been in several musicals and is set to head out on his ‘Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show’ tour in 2019 – insisted Emily doesn’t need to be professionally trained, as he learned how to sing whilst on the job.
He told her: “I was a trained actor, and I got singing lessons. It was in my contract when I did ‘Beauty and the Beast’, my contracts gave me one singing lesson. I had to have a singing lesson every week. So I kind of got through it and I got better and better, and that’s when I got lessons. So I’ve been learning on the job, and it took me a long time to feel confident.
“Doing eight shows a week gives you that confident. Because occasionally you will [make a mistake], but predominantly, 99 percent of the time, it’s totally fine.”
Emily then asked Hugh if he wanted to star in a musical with her, to which he said he was “in” on the idea.
The ‘A Quiet Place’ star said: “I want to do ‘The King and I’ but you can’t do that with me. That’s inappropriate. But I think it’s so beautiful. I was obsessed with that film as a kid.”

Kim Kardashian West: I’m lucky to have Saint as a son

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West thinks she did “something really special to deserve” having Saint West as a son.
The 38-year-old reality star took to Instagram on Wednesday (05.12.18) to ring in her son’s third birthday with a picture of the tot lounging on some outdoor furniture, and said she believes she was blessed when he was born.
Kim – who has Saint, as well as daughters North, five, and Chicago, 10 months, with her husband Kanye West – wrote: “Happy Birthday to my favorite boy my Sainty Joon. I must have done something really special to deserve having you as my son. I love you to the galaxy and back. (sic)”
Saint celebrated his birthday in a joint bash with his cousin Reign – whose parents are Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian and her ex-partner Scott Disick – who turns four on December 14.
The party was Tarzan-themed, and the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ stars took to social media to share images of the celebration.
Kim said in one clip: “So the boys are obsessed with Tarzan. And we have a Tarzan-themed birthday party and a jungle in my house.”
Meanwhile, Kim previously revealed that becoming a mother to her three tots changed her outlook on life, as she says she now “doesn’t give a f**k about anything” other than her family.
She said: “Being a mom just not makes you give a f**ck about anything else but what’s immediately going on inside, like in your home, in your family – like all the other stuff kind of fades away.
“Nothing matters but your family, so I think it really helps you centre and get grounded.”
And Kim believes her authentic nature is one of the reasons behind her success and that of her siblings.
She added: “I think our family is definitely really relatable. I mean we know that we definitely show a side that’s not as relatable, but I think it’s the balance of being in between, of seeing us come up and doing that with us and sharing those experiences with us.
“I think it’s because [fans] can sense our authenticity with one another.”

Anne Hegerty leaves I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hegerty has been booted from ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
The 60-year-old television quiz personality – best known as The Governess on ITV quiz show ‘The Chase’ – has become the fifth celebrity to leave the jungle on the ITV reality show, after she failed to win enough votes from the public to keep her in the competition.
Anne follows in the footsteps of TV legend Noel Edmonds, ‘Hollyoaks’ star Malique Thompson-Dwyer, ‘Coronation Street’ actress Sair Khan, and actress Rita Simons, who have all been kicked out of camp since voting opened last week.
The star wasn’t too disheartened to be leaving the jungle though, as after having struggled with camp life recently, she looked thrilled to be able to get out as she quickly gathered her things and said goodbye to her fellow camp mates.
Before her departure from the show, Anne was able to enjoy a trip to the famous Jungle Arms pub – in which the camp mates are treated to comfort foods including chips with tomato ketchup – with the remaining six contestants.
Whilst there, the quiz mastermind surprised everyone with a tale about her on-stage antics with Peter Andre.
When singer Fleur East asked: “So Anne, do you think I can get you to twerk tonight?”
Anne replied: “As I say, I’ve have already … I have twerked on stage at the London Palladium with Peter Andre.”
The brainy star’s departure means that just six celebrities – Harry Redknapp, Nick Knowles, Fleur East, Emily Atack, James McVey, and John Barrowman – are left battling it out for the chance to be named King or Queen of the Jungle during Sunday’s (09.12.18) final.

Andy Samberg to host 2019 Golden Globes with Sandra Oh

OHMYGOSSIP — Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh are set to host the 2019 Golden Globes.
The 40-year-old actor and the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star have been revealed as the hosts for next month’s prestigious award ceremony, which will be held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on January 6 2019.
A tweet posted on the official Golden Globes Twitter account read: “We are pleased to confirm that Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh will be co-hosting this year’s 76th #GoldenGlobes!”
Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks – the co-chairmen of NBC Entertainment, who broadcast the event – confirmed the news in a statement which praised the duo for their “wit and charm”.
They said: “Sandra and Andy are the perfect choices to host this world-class event. They bring wit, charm, and style to a room filled with the very best of film and television. It’s sure to be another unforgettable, fun-filled night.”
Andy and Sandra, 47, will follow in the footsteps of previous hosts including this year’s host Seth Meyers, 2017’s Jimmy Fallon, and four-time host Ricky Gervais, as well as previous hosting duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler who took the reins three times in 2015, 2014, and 2013.
Both Andy and Sandra are already Golden Globe winners themselves, with Andy picking up two gongs for ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, and Sandra taking home an award in 2006 for her performance in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.
The announcement comes after it was previously revealed that Idris Elba’s daughter Isan, 16, has been named as the 2019 Golden Globe Ambassador, meaning she’ll be in charge of escorting Golden Globe Awards winners on and off stage and carrying statuettes.
She said: “I feel honoured to hold this title and use this role to not only further educate people on the work of the HFPA, but also shine a light on issues that I care about.
“Mental health, specifically among African Americans and my peers in particular, is something I really want to be more vocal about. There’s this perceived stigma and I’ve seen friends struggle. We need to empower young people to not be afraid to ask for help.”
The nominations for the 2019 Golden Globes will be unveiled on Thursday (06.12.18).
