OHMYGOSSIP — Bring Me The Horizon have been officially confirmed for All Points East Festival.
Oli Sykes and co will make their headlining debut at the 10-day music event at London’s Victoria Park on May 31, 2019, where they will be joined by the likes of Run The Jewels, IDLES and Yonaka, and they are honoured to be playing the same event as fellow headliners Bon Iver and Chemical Brothers.
Frontman Oli said: “We are excited to be headlining our first festival in the iconic Victoria Park.

The ‘Mantra’ hitmaker had previously let slip to fans at the band’s recent concert in London that they are on the bill.
He told the crowd at Alexandra Palace: “London, you’re always amazing, but tonight was something else. We will back next year, playing a festival called All Points East.”
The latest additions come after Christine and the Queens was confirmed to headline on May 26.

Bon Iver will close the 10-date extravaganza on June 2, joined by the likes of country pop duo First Aid Kit and Canadian star Mac DeMarco.

The electronic duo recently released their new single ‘Free Yourself’, and they are set to bring their legendary live show to the event.
They will be joined on the bill by Hot Chip, with what was their first festival announcement for 2019 after last being seen celebrating the release of their sixth album ‘Why Make Sense’ in 2015.
Also joining the bill is Primal Scream, while space rockers Spiritualized have also been announced after recently returning from a six year hiatus with new album ‘And Nothing Hurt’.
Little Dragon will be part of the stacked bill, and the announcement rounds off with Danny Brown, Little Simz and Ibidio Sound Machine.

She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I literally need to ask her. That is going to be my next question in our group chat.
“We were chatting on the way over here and I think we all think that’s like, you know, what they call each other. But I have no idea.”

Mel B’s gran said piercings let in evil spirits

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B’s grandmother said her body piercings were the cause of evil spirits.
The Spice Girls star has opened up about visiting her “black grandma” – an affectionate term she used for her father’s mum – in the Caribbean during the band’s heyday and admitted she didn’t react well to some of her style choices.
She told Gal-dem: “She’s very much the matriarch… She took one look at my piercings and tried to throw some holy water on me.
“She was like: ‘You cannot have piercings!’ She was not having it, she was trying to take it out, telling me if I pierced myself I’m going to let in the bad spirits!
“I think I had a white boyfriend at the time. I don’t even think she acknowledged him, she was like: ‘Mmm really?!’ ”
It turns out Mel’s gran also wasn’t the biggest fan of the ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers, and she was sure to give her honest assessment when she heard their music for the first time.
The 43-year-old singer recalled: “I remember when I did go and see her once. And I’d just got into the Spice Girls and our number one single had just been released, and I remember going over there giving her a CD and playing it really loud and she was like, ‘what is all this noise?’ ”
Next year, Mel will be back on the road with her bandmates – Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner – for a UK stadium tour.
She recently admitted she will grow back her trademark curly hair after cutting her locks short to revamp her image and move on from her relationship with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte.
She previously said: “I cut all of my hair off, but I am growing back all of my full-on poofy hair for the Spice Girls tour next year. For now, I’ve cut it all off – it feels like a new me.”
The singer also admitted to having had plastic surgery in the past – including a breast augmentation, botox and work around her eyes – which helped her get over the pain of her relationship, which she claims was abusive.
She admitted: “Well, I’ve had little stuff on my eyes and I’ve tried a little botox and had reconstructive surgery. A lot of my surgery was to do with getting out of my abusive relationship.”

Natalie Portman thinks famous musicians have it harder than Hollywood stars

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Portman thinks famous musicians have a more difficult time than Hollywood stars.
The 37-year-old actress – who plays fictional pop star Celeste in new movie ‘Vox Lux’ – has insisted being in the public eye is easier for people playing a role on the big screen because they don’t give as much of their real selves to fans.
Speaking to USA Today, she explained: “People who succeed in music, their fandom is much larger than any actor, and it’s them as themselves whereas actors are in character. There’s a difference in expectation.”
Music has always been important to Natalie – who got her first major breakthrough as Padme Amidala in ‘Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace’ 19 years ago – and she credits ‘Like A Prayer’ singer Madonna with being a big influence on her.
She added: “I felt really lucky to have her as a little kid, because I saw someone who was brazen and disobedient and provocative and trying to mess with people and always changing – I thought it was a great thing to see in a woman growing up.”
However, the star admitted she has struggled with the contrast seen in the music industry and what it was trying to tell its audience.
She said: “I remember being a teenager, and there was Jessica Simpson on the cover of a magazine saying ‘I’m a virgin’ while wearing a bikini, and I was confused. Like, I don’t know what this is trying to tell me as a woman, as a girl.”
Meanwhile, Natalie recently opened up about the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements, and how they have allowed her to make real friends in the movie industry for the first time in 25 years.
She previously revealed: “I’ve been working for 25 years – I’ve never had friendships in my industry until now. You’re usually the [only] girl in the movie. [Time’s Up] made us come together.
“We’re actively gathering. Just the power of us getting to know other women in our own industry and sharing information that can help us be safer, more productive, more successful.”

He wrote: “Since @CLAIREECOOPER p***ed off to Prague I’ve become alot more independent. Like tonight I cooked for the 1st time. I say cooked, I sliced a chunk of my thumb off with a potato peeler & ordered take out. (sic)”
The 39-year-old star – who played Brendan Brady from 2010 to 2013 – joked that the History channel show’s bosses need to let his wife return home as soon as possible.

Jenna Dewan reveals her festive health tips

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Dewan thinks people should “let go” over the festive season.
With Christmas just weeks away, the 38-year-old star has revealed her tips for the holidays and admitted while she tries to find a balance she thinks it’s important to “enjoy” the chance to treat yourself.
Speaking to E! News, she explained: “It’s so boring but the only tip, the only thing that works for me, is if I’m going to go to a party and splurge and have treats, I just work out and keep it balanced.
“But also, you’ve gotta let go, it’s holidays, just enjoy! And then in January we’ll all see each other at the gym.”
The star also opened up about how her own beauty regime has changed over the past five years since giving birth to her daughter Everly.
Asked what she’d do if she only had five minutes to do her makeup, she said: “That’s actually what I have, if that. I always say that after Everly was born I have not once done my makeup outside of stop lights in five years.”
Meanwhile, Jenna is dating again and “very happy” with new man Steve Kazee after splitting from husband Channing Tatum – whom she married in 2009 and shades Everly with – earlier this year.
She recently revealed her top tip to moving on from the romance was to allow herself time to “cry” over the lost love, and not “run away” from her feelings.
She said: “People are like, ‘How do you get through this?’ I didn’t run away from my feelings. I let myself cry. I let myself grieve. This is one of those situations where I will see the light. The dawn is coming.”
Jenna and Channing confirmed in April that they were splitting up.
Their statement released at the time read: “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision – just two best-friends seeing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.”

Emma Bunton is doing the Spice Girls reunion for her kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Bunton is doing the Spice Girls reunion tour for her kids.
The 42-year-old singer – who has Tate, seven, and 11-year-old Beau with her husband Jade Jones – has admitted that she’s embarking on the girl band’s string of comeback performances so that her children can see her perform and has insisted they’re “gonna love the show”.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning America’, Emma said: “I’m so, so excited about going back on tour. I’m doing this because I love the girls and we have so much fun onstage, but I’m also doing it because my kids have never seen me perform with the Spice Girls, so I’m doing it for them.
“They get my mic out now and again, and they like singing, so they’re gonna love the show, it’s quite spectacular.”
Emma, Geri Horner, Mel C and Mel B are set to hit the road for a 2019 UK tour, more than two decades after the band first burst onto the music scene.
However, one of the band’s original members, Victoria Beckham, will not be joining the rest of the group on tour due to her busy schedule.
Mel B has admitted she’s “disappointed” her long-time pal won’t be able to attend – even though she harbours the hope that Victoria will make a one-off appearance with the group.
She previously said: “Yeah, it is disappointing. But it’s not in some ways, because you have to be respectful of what she wants to do and you can’t force anybody to do anything.
“But I still live in hope that she is going to join us, and she is a part of our band.”

EastEnders and Coronation Street set for festive ratings clash

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ and ‘Coronation Street’ will go head-to-head in a rare clash on New Year’s Day (01.01.19).
The BBC One soap and the ITV show will do battle in the festive ratings when their hour-long specials air at 8pm on the first day of 2019, while ‘Emmerdale’ avoids a split in viewership with a scheduled 60-minute episode at 7pm.
As well as the annual, dramatic Christmas Day soap episodes, the New Year’s Day eps are usually just as tense, and 2019 looks no different.
The BBC confirmed yesterday (04.12.18) that Hannah Spearritt will reprise her role as Kandice Taylor for a short stint over the festive period.
What’s more, Alfie Moon’s (Shane Richie) Albert Square return looks set to cause havoc over Christmas and the new year with he and Hayley Slater (Katie Jarvis) harbouring a big baby secret.
Mick Carter – portrayed by Danny Dyer – is expected to return over the festive period, and he will no doubt be out for revenge against Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ).
Over in Weatherfield, Liz McDonald (Bev Callard) is set to be the target of a hit-and-run, and Nigel Havers’ alter-ego Lewis Archer is expected to meet his maker in the new year.
Nigel recently added further fuel to speculation his alter-ego might be killed off, admitting his character’s fate on the soap isn’t looking great.
Speaking about the speculated storyline, he said: “It’s not looking good – it’s looking grim.”
However, Nigel is already hopeful Lewis could come back from the dead if he is killed off.
When asked if show bosses could bring him back to life, he replied: “Of course they can.
“Of course, [death is] not [terminal].”

Joe Sugg’s Strictly Come Dancing fame

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Sugg’s grandparents only thought he was “a big deal” when he appeared on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 27-year-old YouTube star is one of the favourites to take home this year’s prestigious Glitterball Trophy, and the vlogger has revealed his grandparents didn’t fully understand his career until he appeared in the local newspaper because of the BBC One dancing competition.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ about his grandmother being a dancer, Joe said: “She did go to Blackpool once, that’s why at the start of the show I said, ‘To be able to get to Blackpool would be really cool.’
“But she did Blackpool when she was younger and did the foxtrot so be able to do a quickstep in front of my nan at Blackpool is really cool.
“That was a big reason as to why I wanted to do it as well because they kind of understand what I do, like my granddad has Instagram and stuff, and he’s sort of aware of it, but for them if I’m in the local newspaper that’s the biggest thing, it’s a big deal.
“They understand the whole vlogging thing but for them ‘Strictly’ is like ‘yes!’ ”
The social media sensation has been romantically linked to his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell during his time on the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition, but Joe distanced himself from such speculation, insisting the duo “haven’t got time” for love.
Joe added: “Do you know what, I’ve met such a good friend in Dianne and we haven’t got time to do anything like that, because there’s so many dances to learn.”

Susanna Reid celebrates 100 days of sobriety

OHMYGOSSIP — Susanna Reid is celebrating 100 days of being sober.
The 47-year-old TV presenter – who went teetotal in September in a bid to lose weight – has insisted her new alcohol-free lifestyle is fun, insisting social events can still be enjoyable without alcohol.
She tweeted today (05.12.18): “100 days without a hangover!
“Believe me, you can still have fun without alcohol, despite what your co-workers might say.”
Susanna first embraced a healthier outlook after a doctor warned her that her BMI was too high, and she first admitted she was not drinking alcohol three months ago.
After the first two weeks of abstaining from drink, she revealed to her ‘Good Morning Britain’ co-host Piers Morgan that she had lost 14lbs from simply cutting out alcoholic beverages from her diet.
The former ‘Save Money: Good Food’ host has gushed about the benefits of ditching alcohol and is happy that she no longer has to deal with heavy hangovers.
She said: “And as you get older it takes that little bit longer to get over a night out if you’ve had some drinks. I feel better.”
However, the brunette beauty admitted that cutting out booze from her “big nights out” has definitely been a change, admitting she used to love alcohol-fuelled nights of champagne or prosecco.
She added: “There is definitely a bit of a loss, because in our culture big nights out are so centred around alcohol. And I used to love a big night out.
“Sparkling water. It’s not quite the same as champagne or prosecco, is it? Nobody says, ‘It’s sparkling water o’clock.’ ”

Phillip Schofield ‘proud’ to launch StorySign app to help deaf kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield missed watching his own show to launch a new app which will help deaf children learn to read with their parents.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter and Tess Daly were among the stars at Winterland in South London on Tuesday night (04.12.18) to introduce Huawei’s StorySign app, which uses the telecommunications giant’s AI to instantly translate selected children’s books into sign language, opening up the world of books to deaf kids.
Phil admitted he is a huge fan of new technology, and was missing his latest programme, ‘How to Spend It Well at Christmas’, to launch the amazing app.
Speaking alongside Tess at the StorySign launch, he said: “We were talking earlier on. I love new tech, in fact I’m on the telly with new tech in about 20 minutes time. I’ve missed my own show!
“I love new discoveries, and I’ve been learning about the app for the past few days and learning what it can do.
“When we had our little girls one of the greatest times of the day was story time, and we would sit together, all of us, and read a book.
“I just didn’t realise that was so difficult if your child was deaf. Because it just doesn’t translate.
“You have to be much closer to the deaf community to understand something like that.
“This evening, we’ve sat with the children and their parents and watched them utterly entranced as storytime suddenly came to life in front of them.
“Their faces were so fabulous. It was utterly magical.
“This really is something really special – so we are really proud to be here today.”
Tess said: “This is such an important moment for deaf children in the UK. Learning to read is such a huge part of growing up.
“It’s amazing to be a part of helping make that a possibility for more children and bring story time to life for the whole family.”
Several other stars, such as retired rugby union pro Ben Cohen – who is profoundly deaf – and Love Island’s Jack Fincham, as well as key figures from the British Deaf Association (BDA), were also in attendance at the event.
Ben’s wife Kristina Rihanoff has admitted she is so amazed how he managed to take part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – where they first met – considering he couldn’t hear the music.
She wrote on Twitter: “Great app from @HuaweiMobileUK and I know how much it means to @RugbyBenCohen who’s profoundly deaf and who achieve so much in sport ! Still can’t believe he did @bbcstrictly and couldn’t even hear the music … but of course it wasn’t mentioned then …. #Huawei #MobileApp (sic)”
Pioneered by Huawei, StorySign, with the help of friendly avatar Star, uses the power of Huawei AI, to translate the featured book into perfect sign language page by page, delivering a seamless user experience.
StorySign can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store and the Huawei App gallery.
Donations can be made via the StorySign campaign hub on the Huawei website throughout December and all money raised will support deaf child literacy projects across Europe, with a percentage invested in to more books for StorySign.

Niall Horan is busy penning new songs

OHMYGOSSIP — Niall Horan is busy writing new material.
The ‘Slow Hands’ hitmaker took to Twitter recently to let his 39.3 million followers know he’s hard at work making new songs for his follow-up to his debut solo album ‘Flicker’.
He wrote: “Exciting week ahead of writing ! (sic)”
The One Direction star recently admitted he feels like the “Benjamin Button’ of pop as his career is going in reverse.
The 25-year-old singer conquered the charts all over the world playing stadiums and arenas in all the major cities with the boyband – who are on an extended hiatus.
Since going solo, Niall has had to start again with a new style of music but he has enjoyed “going from arenas to smaller gigs” in a similar way to the literally character who ages in reverse.
He said: “It’s Benjamin Button – going from arenas to smaller gigs. I’ve got to play these places we never got to play in the band, people will have this thing where it’s like, you know … we don’t all have to be as big as Ed [Sheeran].
“It’s great to be like, on our level here, and still have these moments where you enjoy a theatre, personally I’ve been lucky enough to do the stadiums and it’s amazing, but we went straight from ‘The X Factor’ to arenas, missed out a little bit.”
The ‘On the Loose’ singer confessed that he found it “different” while touring ‘Flicker’ but ultimately enjoyed the opportunity to make the event “more about the gig than a show”.
He said: “At the start it was very different, like, smaller crew. Smaller venue. But then when you break it down, I was lucky enough in the past to do the large shows with the lights and the fireworks and the stadium audiences. And this has just been nice to make it more about the gig than a show.
“I made an album that I’ve written completely myself, and worked hard on it. We spend eight or nine months recording something like that, and then releasing it, and then getting on the road.”

Matty Healy: People my age find it quite difficult to get into The 1975

OHMYGOSSIP — Matty Healy admits people his own age may find it “quite difficult” to get into the new The 1975 album.
The 29-year-old frontman accepts that some people find him “annoying at first” and that it can impact on their opinion of the band’s music, and he thinks that’s even more so the case with their two most recent records, ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’ and 2016’s ‘I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It’.
He admitted: “Kids are very smart. People are smart. There’s so many young women who are into our band and I have learned so much from them.
“And there is quite a tight door policy on our band.
“It can be quite difficult to get into us, especially on our last two records. If you were someone like my age, because you have to like me and that takes time.
“I’m annoying at the start, because there’s so much.
“So … you have to let that happen and then you have to go ‘actually, I get this.’ But we’ll get there.”
The ‘Give Yourself A Try’ singer says The 1975 would be a punk band if it was possible.
He explained: “I like subversion of form. The same reason why I love being played on the radio next to Ariana Grande, but my lyrics being the way they are is because I could do that in punk music.
“We could have been a punk band.
“We could have been one of these bands, but I wanna actually be punk, but you can’t actually be punk in punk anymore. I wanna be punk.
“The only place to be punk is where there’s no punk…”

Piers Morgan bets Liz Jones £1k he will outlive her

OHMYGOSSIP — Piers Morgan has bet Liz Jones £1,000 that he will live longer than her.
The 53-year-old television presenter has claimed the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star has contradicted her vegan beliefs by consuming bread and eggs, and he is so sure he will outlive the 60-year-old journalist he has placed a four-figure sum on the pledge.
Piers engaged in a debate with Liz and Reverend Richard Coles about whether those who don’t eat animal products should be viewed in the same was as those who follow religion.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’ – which Piers co-hosts alongside Susanna Reid – Liz argued: “It’s animals, I love animals. I believe a religion isn’t so much about a god, it’s about respecting others.”
However, Piers reputed her statement and accused her of failing her beliefs because she eats bread, which kills insects in its production.
He said: “Shouldn’t it also extend to everything that involves killing animals, including bread?”
As the conversation moved on, the journalist admitted that she eats eggs as she “knows their parents”, because she raises them herself.
Piers then joked that he enjoyed steak because he “knows a cow in London Fields”.
In a final plea, the columnist insisted that the only way the human race will be able to continue in the long-term is to stop eating meat.
She said: “What I’m saying is if you’re so concerned about the human race the only way we’re going to feed ourselves is by not eating meat.
“It’s been scientifically proven we cannot consume meat in the way we do because children are starving.”
At the end of the interview, Piers claimed he would outlive her and before standing up and making a £1,000 bet to seal the deal.

Emma Stone’s Cruella to feature ‘an 80s punk vibe’

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Stone’s Cruella De Vil movie is reportedly set to feature an 80s punk vibe.
The 30-year-old actress is set to play the central role in the live-action take on the ‘101 Dalmatians’ villainess, and the upcoming movie will be made with a very distinctive feel in mind.
Craig Gillespie – who helmed ‘I, Tonya’ in 2017 – is in early talks to direct ‘Cruella’, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Alex Timbers was initially set to direct the project, but he’s been forced to walk away from the movie due to scheduling issues.
‘Cruella’ – which centres on the character first seen in the 1961 animated classic ‘101 Dalmatians’ – is being produced by Andrew Gunn, Marc Platt and Kristin Burr.
Meanwhile, Emma recently said her “organs shifted” after wearing a corset for a month while shooting ‘The Favourite’.
The Hollywood star had to wear the restrictive piece of clothing for her role in the historical movie, and Emma said she has a newfound sympathy for the women of the past who had to wear corsets every day, as she was left unable to breathe after just 30 days.
Emma said: “Women existed like that for such a long time, which gives you a lot of sympathy for that time period and what they were going through.
“For the first month, I couldn’t breathe and I would smell menthol and it would make me think I was in a wide-open space and could breathe for a moment in time.
“After a month, all my organs shifted – it was gross and if you don’t have to, don’t do it!”
