Harry Redknapp ‘forced’ to eat

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Redknapp has reportedly been “forced” to eat in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ camp.
The 71-year-old football manager isn’t a fan of the jungle rations or the unusual meats the celebrities have been given for their meals, but his fellow contestants have been doing their best to ensure he joins them in tucking in.
Malique Thompson-Dwyer, who was the second celebrity to be evicted, told the Daily Star newspaper: “There have been days where we have to pretty much force him to eat.
“He had a thing about the emu, he didn’t like the emu. Then he saw a crocodile’s head.
“We will get the meat and cook it and make the vegetables nice and then sometimes he will say: ‘I can’t eat the meat.’ ”
The ‘Hollyoaks’ star praised Nick Knowles for looking after Harry and making sure he gets enough to eat.
He added: “If Nick wasn’t there to cook the food I don’t think Harry would have made it.”
Malique’s comments came after Noel Edmonds, who was first to be evicted, also admitted he was worried about Harry because he is so “tired” all the time.
He said: “He is tired.
“He is physically very, very tired. I am really rooting for him. We should all root for Harry because he is tired.”
Meanwhile, Harry caused laughs in camp with his laid-back reaction to Malique’s departure.
After Rita Simons said they would all “really miss” the actor, her campmate pointed out that “no-one’s died”.
He added: “He’s not going away, is he? He’s only going over the bridge.”
And later in the Bush Telegraph, the sports coach admitted he felt everyone was overreacting to the evictions.
He said: “Everyone was a bit, ‘Oh Malique, oh Malique’. He’s only going over the bridge’. He’s not going away to do a 25-stretch for being a Great Train Robber or something.”

James Wan wants to make a Batman horror film

OHMYGOSSIP — James Wan wants to direct a “horror version of Batman”.
The 41-year-old filmmaker has been given the chance to step into the world of DC Comics by helming the new ‘Aquaman’ movie but before he got to guide Arthur Curry on an adventure he wanted to create a Caped Crusader film which explored the darkest parts of his mind and Gotham City and it is still one of his ambitions.
Speaking to Heroic Hollywood, Wan – who created the ‘Insidious’, ‘Saw’ and ‘Conjuring’ horror franchises – said: “In the past, like most people, I loved the idea of directing Batman, but a horror version of Batman. “That would be a potential fantasy of mine, but I feel like he’s been done quite a fair bit. But, I do love the idea of doing an outright scary Batman. I feel like that’d be really cool.”
If Wan is ever granted his wish there are no shortage of horror stories that have appeared in the pages of the comics such as ‘The Long Halloween’ which sees Batman use his detective skills to track down a serial killer and includes appearances from a rogues gallery of villains, including Calendar Man, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Riddler and the Joker.
Whilst The Caped Crusader has even battled vampire Dracula in ‘Batman And Dracula: Red Rain’ and he even falls victim to the blood-sucking vampire curse in the trilogy of stories.
Matt Reeves is helming the next film about the Gotham City Saviour and ‘The Batman’ set to go into production next summer from a script also penned by the ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ director.
It is not yet known if Ben Affleck will be donning the cape and cowl again following his performances as Batman in the DC Extended Universe films ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’, ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘Justice League’.

The 2019 BRITs statuette design revealed

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir David Adjaye OBE’s BRIT Awards 2019 statuette is made of solid glass.
The prestigious music awards ceremony – sponsored by Mastercard – will take place on February 20 at The O2 arena in London, and the influential architect’s unique design has been unveiled today (04.12.18).
The renowned artist wanted to explore “the nature of perfection and imperfection” with his design, through the shape of a “proportionally different” female body.
He explained: “The BRIT Awards are a quintessential part of a celebration of British talent and a powerful forum to really talk about the evolving nature of British culture and the contribution of people to that culture. “My take on the BRIT trophy is the manifestation of a great material forged in fire and shaped into the body of a woman.
“She is unique, and proportionally she is very different.
“For me, designing the award was an opportunity to question and explore – what is the nature of perfection and imperfection, what is the notion of beauty … it was exciting to transfer those ideas to a smaller object.
“Now, we have something that I really, really love; I’m very happy with it.”
The 52-year-old has worked with musicians, filmmakers, artists and fashion designers throughout his career, and his current projects include the new Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre in London, the Ghana National Cathedral in Accra and his first skyscraper, 130 William in New York City.
He has teamed up with progressive Czech glassmaking and design company LASVIT for the award.
His appointment sees him follow in the footsteps of Sir Anish Kapoor and the late Dame Zaha Hadid, who designed the 2018 and 2017 trophies respectively.
Jason Iley, BRITs Chairman and CEO and Chairman of Sony Music UK & Ireland, personally commissioned the recent trio of world-renowned award designers.
He added: “David’s treatment has surpassed my expectations, continuing the transformation of the award, as well as building on the legacy of outstanding creativity over the past few years. BRIT winners on the night will take home a truly stunning piece of work that’s totally unique to them with each award carrying its own individual and distinctive imperfections. I’d like to thank David and his team, in particular Duncan Wilson, LASVIT and Alice Beal for all of their work in making David’s vision a reality.”
The first star to get their hands on the trophy will be the winner of 2019’s BRITs Critics’ Choice Award, which is announced on Friday (07.12.18).
This year’s nominees include Lewis Capaldi, Mahalia and Sam Fender.

George Ezra believes Shotgun burp mystery scored him No1

OHMYGOSSIP — George Ezra thinks ‘Shotgun’ is only a hit because people thought he burped during the song.
The modest musician believes the chart-topping single from his album ‘Staying at Tamara’s’ started shooting up the charts after razor-sharp fans noticed what appeared to sound like a belching noise on the track, which led everyone into streaming and downloading the single again to check it out.
However, the 25-year-old star is adamant it was actually just him saying “well”.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “I got this email saying: ‘Look there’s this meme going around saying that you burped.’
“But it’s just me saying the word ‘well’.
“Within about a week it got back to No1 as everyone was checking out to see if I burp.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Budapest’ hitmaker recently admitted he would love to turn his hand to acting one day.
He said: “I love the idea of going into acting. I’ll have to get some acting lessons or something. I wouldn’t do it tomorrow but it’s something I’ll definitely do one day.”
In the meantime, the ‘Paradise’ singer has his hands full with his biggest ever UK tour next March, and he’s confident it will be a huge success.
He said: “It will be the best concert anyone’s ever been to.”
The 10-date run kicks off at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle Upon Tyne on March 7.

The Old Grey Whistle Test set for reboot with Annie Nightingale

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Old Grey Whistle Test’ is set for a reboot with Annie Nightingale as host.
The legendary music show ran for more than 17 years on BBC Two before ending in 1988, before returning for a one-off special earlier this year with massive success, and the programme is now lined up to come back for a longer run with the 78-year-old long-serving DJ as the presenter.
A source told the Sun’s Bizarre TV column: “Annie met with the BBC last month about looking at ways they can bring back the legendary show.
“They were blown away by the success of the one-off special and realised there was still an appetite for it.
“Fans will want more than just old clips, so hopefully they’ll find a concept that works for everyone.”
Annie took over on the original show for four years after host Bob Harris quit.
The programme has seen performances from the likes of Bob Marley and the Wailers and early footage of Roxy Music, Billy Joel, and Tom Petty.
The 72-year-old radio presenter said prior to the first remake that the response to the first adaptation was “fabulous”, although he admits some fans were dubious.
He said: “The response has been fabulous! Very bittersweet, during my last two years on the show I came under intensive fire from the punk bands.”
The host reminisced on the early days of his career and admitted that he “loved” the open-ended creativity.
He said: “It was this word-of-mouth doorway into an exclusive club; you wouldn’t hear these musicians anywhere else.
“Because they couldn’t afford to dress the studio, everyone looked like squatters. Plus it was the last programme of the night, so if a guitar solo went on too long, no one complained. Open-ended creativity. I loved it.”

Aaron Chalmers challenges Daneil Bryan to MMA fight

OHMYGOSSIP — Aaron Chalmers has challenged Daniel Bryan to a fight.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star – who is now a mixed martial arts fighter for Bellator – has taken to his Twitter account in a bid to catch the eye of the current WWE Champion and goad him into a real-life brawl.
He tweeted: “Yo @WWEDanielBryan May I’m set to make my debut fighting in USA If your not to beat up after Mania what you saying….”
Bryan – who made his shock comeback at ‘WrestleMania 34’ alongside Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn – is embroiled in an on-air rivalry with AJ Styles after defeating him for the title last month to become a focal point of the ‘Smackdown Live’ brand.
While a move to MMA competition would be a surprise for the star after he initially retired from his in-ring role due to concussions before returning more than two years later, it would see him follow in the footsteps of UFC fighter Phil ‘CM Punk’ Brooks, while fellow WWE stars Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey are no strangers to the sport.
Speaking earlier this year Aaron, 31, revealed that MMA had “saved” his life after he chose to make the move from reality TV.
He said: “MMA has totally changed me as a person. From someone who used to go out getting drunk, (I’m) literally now dedicated to the gym.
“I’m a much stronger person, mentally and physically, and it gives you self-control.
“I don’t lose my temper as much and you can get all your aggression out in the gym. If I could suggest it to anyone, then definitely go for it.”

Patrick Stewart was ’embarrassed’ about father’s abuse

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Patrick Stewart spent years feeling “ashamed and embarrassed” about the way his father was violent to his mother.
The 78-year-old actor admitted he and his siblings used to pretend the domestic violence wasn’t happening in their home and though he believes their neighbours knew what was going on, no one ever talked about it.
He told The Guardian newspaper: “For decades, I was silent, I was ashamed and embarrassed – and that embarrassment went all the way back to being seven or eight.
“At the time, our tightly knit community knew what my father did to my mother – they could hear it – but it was absolutely not talked about.
“Even with my brothers, we didn’t discuss it. I think we tried to pretend it wasn’t there.”
The ‘X-Men’ actor confessed that over the years acting has brought his repressed emotions to the surface, and he recalled being particularly unsettled before going on stage to play Macbeth.
He said: “I had the uniform, the cap, the AK47, and I’d grown a moustache, although I didn’t know why.
“Then I saw my father’s face staring straight back at me. I remember that night I couldn’t give a performance. ”
The ‘Logan’ star has since had regression therapy in order to help him cope with his trauma.
He explained: “I began unravelling this and finally acknowledging it had been part of my life. We would do regression therapy.
“It would be my mother and father sitting in the room of childhood home and I would be given permission to say whatever I wanted to say.”
Patrick is now a patron of domestic violence charity Refuge and thinks it’s important to speak at their events to urge men to take responsibility for abusive actions.
He said: “Domestic violence is a man’s problem, we are the ones who are committing the offences, performing the cruel acts, controlling and denying, it’s the men.”

Ariana Grande defends Pete Davidson and urges fans to be ‘gentler’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande has urged her fans to be “gentler” with Pete Davidson.
The ‘thank u, next’ hitmaker’s ex-fiance recently spoke out about his mental health and slammed cyberbullies who have sent him scathing messages since their relationship first blossomed in May, and now the pop star herself has sent a message to “remind” her followers how to treat others.
She wrote on Instagram: “I know u already know this but I feel I need to remind my fans to please be gentler with others.
“I really don’t endorse anything but forgiveness and positivity. i care deeply about pete and his health. i’m asking you to please be gentler with others, even on the internet. (sic)”
The 25-year-old singer also told her followers she “will always have irrevocable love” for her ex, and said anyone getting a different impression from her recent music has “missed the point”.
She continued: “So please let whatever point you’re trying to make go. I will always have irrevocable love for him and if you’ve gotten any other impression from my recent work, you might have missed the point.”
Pete – who has bipolar disorder and has spoken openly about “being suicidal” – claimed in his previous post that although many people online have told him to take his own life, he isn’t going to succumb to their negativity.
He wrote: “I’ve kept my mouth shut. Never mentioned any names, never said a word about anyone or anything. I’m trying to understand how when something happens to a guy the whole entire world just trashes him without any facts or frame of reference. Especially in today’s climate where everyone loves to be offended and upset it truly is mind boggling.
“I’ve been getting online bullied and in public by people for 9 months. I’ve spoken about BPD and being suicidal publicly only in the hopes that it will bring awareness and help kids like myself who don’t want to be on this earth. I just want you guys to know. No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t. I’m upset I even have to say this. To all those holding me down and seeing this for what it is – I see you and I love you.”
Meanwhile, Ariana’s manager Scooter Braun had to step up and defend him from her fans’ harsh criticism, after they flooded to the comments of an Instagram post concerning the star’s new movie.
Scooter urged the fans to “stop the bulls**t” and said: “It is nothing like that and Pete is a good dude. No one has hate for this guy and he is a stand up guy. Show respect because trust me, everyone on this side knows he deserves it and wishes him well.”

But things will not get off to a happy start for Karen when her ex and son Keegan Baker’s (Zack Morris) father Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) turns up uninvited.
Karen soon sends the troublemaker packing only for him to return to Albert Square, and viewers will learn he has been secretly plotting away with Kandice.

He said: “It feels great to be returning to Albert Square and working with the wonderful cast and crew again, especially the fantastic Taylor family.

Former S Club 7 star Hannah – who confirmed in September she is pregnant – made her first appearance as Kandice in December 2017, and she later returned to the soap in July this year.
Earlier this year, the ex-‘Primeval’ star admitted she would love Kandice to return to Walford and start flirting with Danny Dyer’s alter-ego Mick Carter.
She said: “I won’t beat around the bush – a scene with Danny Dyer would be brilliant.
“I think that Mick would humour Kandice’s personality – but she would probably be too busy flirting. That would be fun.
“When my new scripts came through the door, I saw that I had scenes in the Queen Vic and went, ‘Oh my God!’ ”

New Prince film will not be a biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince’s music is going to be used to create a new movie.
Universal Pictures – who have found great success in musically-inspired films including franchises such as ‘Mamma Mia!’ and ‘Pitch Perfect’ – has acquired the rights to a number of classic Prince songs and are developing an original film musical that insiders say will not be a biopic, but an original story with Prince’s classic songs driving the plotline.
According to Variety, sources close to the project claim that Universal will not be taking the biopic angle as it has already been covered to a degree by Prince’s 1984 film ‘Purple Rain’.
Now, meetings have begun with potential writers, producers and executives who are hoping the film can be an original story where Prince’s beloved hits drive the narrative – much like the style of ‘Mamma Mia!’.
Troy Carter – the entertainment adviser of Prince’s estate – will executive produce alongside Jody Gerson, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Publishing Group, the exclusive worldwide publishing administrator for Prince’s catalog.
President of Global Film Music and Publishing for Universal Pictures Mike Knobloch is playing a key role in the project for the studio. Universal’s Vice President of Production Sara Scott and Creative Executive Mika Pryce will oversee development on behalf of the studio.
Prince – who was one of the best-selling artists ever – sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
He won eight Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and an Academy Award for the 1984 film Purple Rain.
Tragically the musician – whose career spanned six decades – died aged 57 in 2016 in Minnesota due to an accidental drug overdose.

Chanel become first luxury fashion house to ban exotic skins

OHMYGOSSIP — Chanel will no longer use exotic skins or real fur.
The fashion house will become the first luxury label to join the likes of Asos, Nike, H&M, and Puma, in banning the use of all exotic skins.
The brand has rarely used crocodile, lizard, snake, stingray, or fur but have still made the decision to ban all use of the animal products ahead of its pre-fall 2019 Metiers d’Art show in New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The ban was brought in as it was becoming increasingly difficult to ethically source skins that meet the house’s quality standards – and Bruno Pavlovsky, president of Chanel fashion, insisted that decision was made with no pressure from the public.
He said: “There is a problem of supply and that was not Chanel’s business anyway, we did it because it’s in the air, but it’s not an air people imposed to us. It’s a free choice.
“The future of high-end products will come from the know-how of what our atelier is able to do.”
Despite not banning animal skins entirely, brands such as Burberry have made the leap to fur-free fashion after years of relying on rabbit, fox, mink and Asiatic racoon fur for its designs.
However, after years of being targeted by angry animal rights campaigners, the fashion house finally decided to follow the likes of its high-end competitors Versace and Gucci by eliminating animal flesh from its pieces.
Burberry said: “We already re-use, repair, donate or recycle unsaleable products and we will continue to expand these efforts. At Burberry, we are passionate about driving positive change.”

Winnie Harlow wants diversity in fashion to be ‘the norm’

OHMYGOSSIP — Winnie Harlow wants to make diversity in fashion “the norm”.
The 24-year-old beauty – who suffers from vitiligo, which affects the pigment of the skin – made her debut at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and thought that being the first model with the condition to walk the runway was a “huge honour” and insisted it was a huge step to “normalize the industry”.
In an interview with Teen Vogue, she said: “Being the first model with vitiligo to walk in the show was a huge honour for me, and a big step in the right direction for VS.
“Any step toward a truly equal and diverse modeling industry is great, but for a huge brand like Victoria’s Secret to include models with skin conditions like vitiligo is a huge step to normalizing it in the entire industry.
“I hope that there’s many more in the future. We need to work toward diversity, not for the sake of it, but to make it the norm. And I hope that this is a big step toward that.”
The ‘America’s Next Top Model’ winner admitted that walking the catwalk in New York City made her feel “powerful and confident” and thinks the “sky is the limit now”.
She said: “Walking VS was one of my biggest goals as a model, maybe even my top one, so achieving it made me feel more powerful and confident in my career than I ever have before.
“I’m excited about taking that confidence and letting it show in everything that I do, whether it’s amazing things in the modeling world or new things that I’ve never thought about doing before. I feel like the sky is the limit now.”

Danny Dyer keen wants Jodie Whittaker for EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer would love Jodie Whittaker to join ‘EastEnders’.
The 41-year-old actor is keen for the ‘Doctor Who’ star – who portrays the titular Time Lord – to bring her TARDIS to Albert Square for a special crossover appearance, because he thinks she is an “incredible actress”.
When asked who he has been enjoying watching on TV of late, he said: “Jodie Whittaker from ‘Doctor Who’.
“What a woman; an incredible actress. I’d love to see her cross over to ‘EastEnders’.”

Speaking to TV Times magazine, he added: “I’m a bit choked up.
“It’s a bit of a surprise, but a lovely early Christmas present. I’ll put it in my dressing room, so I can look at it every day and be proud.”
While Danny loves watching Jodie portray the Thirteenth Doctor after she replaced Peter Capaldi as the legendary sci-fi character, he previously wanted to take on the role.
Speaking in February 2017, he said: “I’d be interested in it. I could see myself in the scarf and all that.
“I think I could do it easily. I’d keep my accent too.”
Danny is no stranger to winning an award for portraying Mick, and in October he claimed his on-screen wife Kellie Bright (Linda Carter) “forgot” to bring home their Best Partnership Inside Soap Awards gong because she was drunk.
He joked: “We’d like to show you the award in our hands, but unfortunately she’s forgot it.
“She was … how can I put it, she was battered last night. She was celebrating.”
While Danny was telling the story, Kellie made sure to clarify that she definitely hadn’t “lost” the trophy.
She added: “I wouldn’t say lost, I’d say forgot.”
