OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce reveals her late uncle Jimmy’s battle with HIV “was one of the most painful experiences” of her life.
The ‘Formation’ singer appeared alongside her husband Jay Z to accept the Vanguard Award at the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards on Thursday night (28.03.19), and she paid tribute to her uncle in an emotional speech at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Describing him as “the most fabulous gay man I have ever met”, she said: “[He lived] his truth and was brave and unapologetic at a time when this country wasn’t as accepting.
“Witnessing his battle with HIV was one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever lived… I’m hopeful that his struggled served to open pathways for other young people to live more freely.”
She added that “LGBTQI rights are human rights”, with the crowds cheering as she continued her acceptance speech.
She said: “To choose who you love is your human right. How you identify and see yourself is your human right. Who you make love to and take that ass to Red Lobster is your human right.”
Over the years, the likes of Britney Spears, Cher, Whoopi Goldberg, Drew Barrymore, Janet Jackson, Antonio Banderas and Demi Lovato have been honoured with the Vanguard Award.
The prize is presented by GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) to recognise the efforts of someone who doesn’t identity as LGBT but has still made a significant different by promoting equal rights.
Before accepting the honour on stage, she and Jay Z gave a standing ovation to drag performer Shangela after she delivered a brilliant lip sync medley of the ‘Single Ladies’ hitmaker’s biggest hits while the Queen Bey herself danced along.

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Davidson had to foot the bill for Kanye West and Timothee Chamalet’s dinner.
The ‘Saturday Night Live’ star has claimed he found himself having to pay for everyone’s night when he went to the Nobu restaurant in Malibu to treat rapper Kid Cudi for his birthday, but he didn’t realise they’d be joined by other guests.
Speaking to Machine Gun Kelly during a Vanity Fair Q&A, he said: “[Kanye] kept ordering the whole entire time and I didn’t know he was coming and I already put my card down to pay because I thought it would be just me and Cudi.
“Then, Chalamet showed up and then Kanye showed up and I was like ‘Oh, f**k’ and then I had to book two more gigs in Ohio.”
The 25-year-old comedian joked he didn’t realise the celebrations for his friend’s 35th birthday in January would be quite so extravagant.
He added that Kanye ordered “a bunch of rich people stuff”, and said the star’s attitude was “order the f***ing everything because I can and then we all have one bite, maybe… because f**k you… guy”.
Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian West was also there on the night to document the event on her Instagram story, and she later said she didn’t realise it was meant to be a boys night out.
She explained: “It was Kid Cudi’s birthday, and we went to Nobu and when I got there I realised it was, like, a guys’ dinner. So I was like, OK.”
Meanwhile, Pete is now dating actress Kate Beckinsale, 45, and he recently hit out at people who criticise their 20 year age gap.
He argued: “Apparently people have a crazy fascination with our age difference. It doesn’t really bother us, but then again I’m new to this. OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra says getting married “really made [her] think” about what she wants to achieve in her life.
The 36-year-old actress tied the knot with Jonas Brothers star Nick Jonas, 26, at the end of last year, and she’s said becoming a married woman has been life changing for her in more ways than one, as she’s now trying to decide what the “next phase” in her life is going to be.
She said: “I feel like right now, where I am is, I’m in my mid-30s and I’m trying to figure out where I go next, what I do next, what’s the next phase in my life. I guess getting married really made me think about what the next chapter is.”
The ‘Quantico’ star also admitted getting married was “scary s**t”, but says that once she and Nick found their “groove” as husband and wife, there was a “sense of calm” between them.
Speaking in a YouTube special entitled ‘If I Could Tell You One Thing’, Priyanka added: “It’s scary s**t, man, getting married. I, in fact, initially felt a little more stressed about the fact that I’m a wife and I have to do everything right, and I think … once we found our groove, I realised that the beauty of being married is you can be completely who you are and the other person loves you, and that’s like … there’s a sense of calm.”
During the special video, the ‘Baywatch’ actress embarked on a journey to collect wisdom from some inspirational women including the likes of Olympian Simone Biles, comedian Awkwafina and legendary fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg.
Priyanka’s wedding comments come after she recently joked she is a “terrible wife” to Nick, because she can’t cook.
She said: “I can’t cook. And I told him that when he proposed. I was like, ‘Listen, you’re from a good southern home, you’re used to your mom making you amazing food. You’re not marrying that girl.’ I cannot cook. I can make eggs, also sporadically, maybe at night.
“I’m a terrible, terrible wife in that sense, but the most amazing thing when I told him that, ‘Babe, I can’t cook and I hope you know that,’ he said, ‘It’s alright babe, neither can I.’ But you don’t hear that from guys! They’re usually like, ‘It’s OK, baby.’ And he was like, ‘I can’t either!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cathy Shipton says ‘Casualty’ bosses made her change her accent on the show.
The 62-year-old actress – who is best known for portraying Lisa ‘Duffy’ Duffin on the BBC medical drama – says the producers made her alter her character’s West Country twang she made her debut with on the ward back in 1986.
Cathy appeared on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (28.03.19) and was played a clip of an old episode where Duffy had a different voice, and explained: “This is my first telly, I have never done telly.
“I’ve done tiny little bits but you blink and miss me.
“Suddenly, you’re a Saturday night jewel in the ground on TV…
“One of the most inexperienced actors and they ask her to do an accent!”
Phillip Schofield then commented: “It’s not the accent, it’s just it disappeared!”
To which Cathy replied: “Well yes, because we got a new producer and he said, ‘Well Duffy’s been listening to lots of Radio 4’.
“I went, ‘OK’, because it meant I could be like this!”
The 62-year-old soap actress – who is from Lewisham in London – also said the dementia storyline that her character is undergoing is the “toughest” she has ever done.
She said: “It’s undoubtedly the toughest.
“It’s a bittersweet storyline in a way as a performer because obviously this show is responsible, everything is based on fact that we put on screen for a guest character or a regular.
“And people are going through a lot of the issues we show in their lives.
“They’ve taken a lot of care. They’ve consulted Dementia UK so they played it up very slowly.
“I think the writing has been so careful.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis has been given a promise ring by her boyfriend Owen Warner as a symbol of their devotion to one another.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ co-stars – who recently moved in together – sparked speculation they had got engaged when she shared a picture of the ring on Instagram, but a spokesperson for the 26-year-old star has since confirmed to Digital Spy that it’s not an engagement band.
In fact, the brunette beauty had shared the ring on her Instagram Stories earlier this month, writing alongside the snap with Owen: “My beautiful promise ring of my beautiful partner, so happy @_owenwarner (sic)”
Stephanie recently took to the social media app to gush about how she “didn’t know what true love was” until finding her man.
Alongside a snap of the couple on holiday in Barcelona, Spain, she wrote: “I didn’t know what true love was, until I met you… (sic)”
The loved-up pair started dating in December, and Stephanie – who has two-year-old son Caben-Albi – “couldn’t be happier” about taking the next step in their relationship by living together.
A source said: “Stephanie and Owen are inseparable and were spending every night together pretty much straight away after they started dating.
“It made sense for Owen just to move in with her and Steph couldn’t be happier – as she’s finally getting the family home she always dreamed of.”
Owen, 19 – who plays Romeo Quinn in the Channel 4 soap – is said to have been “really hands on” with her son, who she shares with ex Jeremy McConnell, at the youngster’s birthday party on January 13.
The source added: “Owen is amazing with her son Caben and was really hands on at his second birthday party recently.

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine Lampard is flattered to be compared to her husband Frank Lampard’s late mother.
The TV star started a relationship with the now-retired footballer in 2009 – a year after his beloved mum Pat died from pneumonia aged 58 – and so the two never met, but she was delighted when Frank, 40, said in his wedding speech in December 2015 that his wife did “remind him” of his mum and insisted the pair would have been “really good friends”.
Speaking on ITV show ‘Loose Women’, Christine said: “In amongst the emotion, he did say I very much remind him of his mum, and he knew that had she been alive, we would’ve been really good friends.
“I’ve heard nothing but the most wonderful things talked about his mum. I think anyone who has ever met her has wonderful things to say about her. I think if I’m even a tiny bit like her, I take that as a huge compliment.”
The couple have kept the memory of Pat alive and even named their five-month-old daughter Patricia after her, but Christine, 40, does wish she had met Pat before she passed away.
She added: “She passed away the year before I met Frank, so I never got to have that relationship with the mother-in-law, which would’ve been lovely because Frank was ridiculously close to his mum.”
During her appearance fronting the daytime panel show, she also revealed her admiration for her own mother Mina and said she doesn’t blame “any man” who wants to find a partner “like his mum”.
She explained: “I hope I’m a fraction as good as my mum is, I have no problem with that at all. If the person’s a good person, well why not? I don’t blame any man for wanting to try and find a lady who might be like his mum.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Beckinsale has returned to Instagram just days after deleting all her posts from the social media app.
The 45-year-old star took down all her posts on the photo sharing platform over the weekend, and while she still hasn’t let her followers know the reason for her decision, she has now made a comeback.
Sharing a snap from a photo shoot in which she’s standing in front of a large plant wearing a stylish black suit and white waistcoat, Kate wrote: “Back to business . Also this is not a plant it is a painfully attached tail.”
In the five days between wiping her page clean and posting the new picture, Kate’s 2.8 million followers could still access her profile.
Now, the actress is following 355 people with just the single snap displayed.
Her Instagram return comes after she admitted she is “shocked” that so many people seem to care about the 20-year age gap between her and her boyfriend Pete Davidson.
She recently said: “I’m surprised by the interest. I’ve never been in this position before – never dated anybody who comes with their own bag of mischief.
“It’s all quite shocking, and something to get used to. I think if you liked the person less, you would bow out of it. If that were the main thrust of the relationship, there would be a problem. But it’s not.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Salt-N-Pepa are getting a Lifetime miniseries about their life and career.
The hip hop act will be the subject of a new biographical series focusing on the group at the height of their 90s popularity and will feature the duo’s top hits including ‘Let’s Talk About Sex’, ‘What a Man’ and ‘Shoop’.
Salt-N-Pepa – comprised of Cheryl ‘Salt’ James and Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton and DJ Spinderella – were one of the first all-female rap groups when they formed in 1985 and despite a brief split between 2002 and 2007 they continue to perform to this day.
Queen Latifah alongside James and Denton are listed as executive producers on the project, which currently has no air date, and the Salt-N-Pepa story will be penned by Abdul Williams.
Although the ‘Push It’ hitmakers are taking a look back at their career, they previously admitted they aren’t planning on quitting the music business any time soon and insist their songs are “here to stay”.
Pepa, 50, said: “A lot of our fans, they always say Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderella was the soundtrack to their lives … We’re just not going anywhere. Our songs are here to stay.”
DJ Spinderella, 45, considers the 90s to be an “incredible era” for music and when Salt-N-Pepa were “in our prime.”
She said: “When you say ‘the 90s,’ it’s just nostalgia. The 90s was an incredible era for music, hip hop, pop culture – just everything. People want to go back. And Salt-N-Pepa, we were literally in our prime.”
Lifetime also announced a TV movie called ‘The Clark Sisters: The First Ladies of Gospel’ which will be produced by Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige and Missy Elliott and will tell the story of the group that brought gospel music to the mainstream.

OHMYGOSSIP — Colton Haynes almost ruptured his kidney due to heavy drug and alcohol use which undertook to “mask the pain” he felt after his divorce.
The 30-year-old actor was hospitalised after seven days of substance abuse which left him looking “as if somebody had beaten the s**t out of me” and says he was “drowning” after his split from Jeff Leatham as well as the death of his mother, Dana Denise Mitchell.
In an interview with the 25th anniversary edition of Attitude magazine, he said: “I got married and that didn’t work out. That was extremely public and heart-breaking, and right when that was going on, my mom died. I got so heavily involved with drugs and alcohol to mask the pain I was feeling that I couldn’t even make some decisions for myself. I was drowning in my own shit.”
Recalling the hellish state he was in at the hotel, he added: “I locked myself in a hotel room at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills for seven days and was found in my room with these bruises all over my body. It looked as if somebody had beaten the s**t out of me. I couldn’t walk, so I was falling everywhere.
“I almost ruptured my kidney; ended up in the hospital, ended up on 5150 [a temporary and involuntary] psyche hold. I was on such a destructive path that I could not function.”
The ‘Teen Wolf’ star went on to recall an incident where he was fired from a comedy show as he was “dead in the eyes” from his substance use and he is adamant that the studio made the “best decision in the world” to get rid of him because he was in no fit state to be working.
He said: “At that point, I fell apart. My brain broke. I was doing this massive comedy for a studio, showed up to work and got fired on the first day. They said I looked as if I had ‘dead in my eyes’ – and I did. I think it was the best decision in the world to fire me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordyn Woods is reportedly “mortified” by the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ season 16 trailer.
The 21-year-old model – who has been best friends with Kylie Jenner for years and has appeared on the family’s E! reality show several times – has reportedly been left devastated after the show’s new trailer aired on Wednesday (27.03.19), as it shows Khloe Kardashian breaking down in tears over the allegations that her then-boyfriend Tristan Thompson cheated on her with Jordyn at a party in February.
Speaking about the trailer, a source told Us Weekly magazine: “[Jordyn is] obviously mortified by the trailer, and her mom is upset about it too, but they expected it. It’s still difficult to relive, and Jordyn is glad to be out of L.A. while everyone is talking about it. It’s humiliating and she is still haunted by it. She’s trying to look fabulous on social media, but it’s still a lot for any person to deal with.”
In the clip, Khloe can be seen crying as she opens up about the alleged affair – which caused the end of her relationship with Tristan – and says it has been tough working through such a difficult period in the public eye.
She said: “It just sucks it has to be so public. I’m not just a TV show.
“Like, this is my life… Tristan might love me, whatever that means. He has no respect for me whatsoever.”
Later in the trailer, Khloe – who shares 11-month-old daughter True with the NBA star – is seen screaming in the car while she’s on the phone.
She shouts: “My family is ruined.”
Meanwhile, despite her differences with former flame Tristan, Khloe insisted she will never put their daughter in “the middle” of their problems.

OHMYGOSSIP — Marvin Humes and Gareth Southgate are encouraging thousands of children to try football.
The TV presenter and the England football manager joined forces on Thursday (28.03.19) to invite parents across the UK to sign up for one of over 600 McDonald’s Fun Football sessions, which have been made to introduce kids to the popular sport for the first time.
Over 12,000 spaces are available for children to sign up to and the course is aimed at introducing 5-11 year olds to football regardless of gender of disability.
The Fun Football sessions are part of a four-year-deal between fast food chain McDonalds’ and the Football Association (FA), which will see the popular restaurant provide over 5 million hours of football to 5-11 year olds by 2022.
Speaking about the campaign, Gareth said in a statement: “McDonald’s has played a pivotal role in supporting grassroots football for seventeen years and Fun Football is another crucial step in continuing to make football accessible for young children.
“This is an exciting launch and I’m honoured to be a part of it. It’s really important that children all over the UK are given opportunities to play football so that we can continue to attract young, new players to the sport and get them enjoying the game.”
Whilst Marvin added: “With Fun Football placing a focus on participation and providing opportunities to play, we’re aiming to make football more accessible to the children who haven’t played much before.”
“As a parent of two young kids, it’s exciting to know that grassroots football in the UK is continuing to grow stronger: not only will the programme help children to develop their skills but they will be able to make friends and have fun too.”
Through these Fun Football Centres, over 500,000 children will have the opportunity to play football for the first time in 2019.

OHMYGOSSIP — Alec Baldwin says he’s “not that angry” after attending anger management sessions.
The ‘Saturday Night Live’ star has been taking classes to help deal with his temper after he pleaded guilty in January to a charge of second-degree violation of harassment in relation to an incident that took place in November, when he was arrested after being accused of punching a man in a row over a parking space.
But following his classes, Alec says the one thing he’s learnt the most is that he actually doesn’t have a problem with his anger.
Speaking on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, Alec said: “When you go to anger management you realise you’re not that angry.”
And the ‘Boss Baby’ star still maintains that he never punched the man over the row, whom he claims stole his parking space.
He added: “I just felt that what he did was impolite, bordering on dangerous.”
Alec – who was also told by the judge at the time of his court case to pay $120 – was initially charged with attempted misdemeanor assault and violation-level harassment over the incident but his legal team and prosecutors agreed to the lesser charge in a plea deal.
Hours after his arrest, the 60-year-old actor – who has daughter Ireland, 23, with ex-wife Kim Basinger and Carmen, five, Rafael, three, Leonardo, two, and seven-month-old Romeo with spouse Hilaria – took to Twitter to refute the allegations against him.
He used his family foundation’s account to tweet: “Normally, I would not comment on something as egregiously misstated as today’s story.
“However, the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false.
“I wanted to go on the record stating as much.
“I realize that it has become a sport to tag people with as many negative charges and defaming allegations as possible for the purposes of clickbait entertainment.
“Fortunately, no matter how reverberating the echos, it doesn’t make the statements true. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are “taking their time” with their wedding planning.
The couple announced their engagement in January following half a year of romance, and it’s now been claimed that they’re in no immediate rush to get things planned for their big day just yet, as they have a winter date set in mind and are too “busy” to get anything in place any sooner.
A source said: “Katherine is taking her time with planning the wedding. Katherine and Chris have talked about a winter wedding, they are just really busy to plan anything sooner than that but plans are still fluid.”
But whenever the wedding takes place, both families – including Katherine’s famous father Arnold Schwarzenegger – will be involved, and are currently helping the happy couple with small parts of planning.
The insider added to E! News: “Both families are enjoying getting to know each other more too and helping planning details for the big day.”
Meanwhile, slow progress on their wedding plans comes after ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star Chris – who has six-year-old son Jack with his ex-wife Anna Faris – said he “barely” had time to sit down and organise anything.
Asked if he’s had any time to get down to business when it comes to planning his nuptials, the 39-year-old actor said: “Oh, barely!”
But he isn’t leaving all the work to 29-year-old author Katherine, as she recently said her future husband is “very involved” in the planning process.
She said: “I think that you know, for me, my family is very involved. I’m very involved, [Chris is] very involved, so it’s a great combination of everything and just a really exciting and fun [time].”
The ‘Jurassic World’ star announced his engagement with a post on Instagram in mid January, where he shared a snap of the pair with Katherine’s engagement ring on show.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne didn’t believe his son Jack’s MS diagnosis at first, because he’d been misdiagnosed himself in the 90s.
Jack, 33, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis – a disease which targets the nerve cells in the brain and spine, and disrupts the functionality of the nervous system – seven years ago when he was 26, and has said in a new interview that his father and Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy was skeptical of the result because he was once misdiagnosed with the condition and doesn’t understand how medicine has evolved.
He said: “My dad was very much of the mindset of like, ‘No, that’s wrong.’ His inkling is, it’s still the 1990s and they’re still not good at diagnosing it.”
The TV star – who has three daughters, Andy, three, Pearl, six, and Minnie, 13 months, with his ex-wife Lisa Stelly – also admitted his mother Sharon Osbourne didn’t take too well to the news either.
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, he added: “My mom does not deal with bad news very well.”
Since his diagnoses in 2012, the ‘Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour’ star has set up a website called ‘You Don’t Know Jack About MS’, in which he aims to give people “a better understanding” about the disease.
He said of the site: The whole point of ‘You Don’t Know Jack About MS’ was to create a destination website for people to go and just learn the broad strokes about MS. What is it, how does it affect people, and cut through a lot of the noise that the internet tends to be full of. Here’s the facts, it’s easy to digest.
“But I don’t want the focus to be on me. I know it’s called that, and I’m hosting it, but I want the focus to be about the disease and kind of giving people a little bit of hope, and a better understanding about what it is.”
Jack is still undergoing treatment for the condition, but said in 2016 he was “doing really well”.
He said: “I’m doing really well right now, which is awesome, always good news. That’s all I can really ask for at the moment. I’m feeling good, I’m taking care of myself, I’m sticking to my treatment plan, so things are good.”

The ‘A Star Is Born’ actress and singer turned 33 on Thursday (28.03.19), and to ring in the special day, she’s reportedly jetted out to the popular Mexican resort city of Cabo, where she often likes to travel when she needs to unwind.
A source told People magazine: “Gaga flew to Mexico earlier this week to celebrate her birthday with close friends. She likes to recharge in Cabo and often visits. The group has a private chef and has mostly been hanging out by the pool. She has a private dinner planned for her birthday.”
Gaga last visited Cabo for Valentine’s Day (14.02.19), which came just days before news broke that she’d called it quits with fiancé Christian Carino.
An insider said at the time: “The weather was amazing. They took a yacht out one day. Gaga enjoyed a lot of pool time … It seemed like the most perfect vacation. Yet, you could tell everything was not great with Gaga. She seemed a bit gloomy and low energy. On previous vacations, she has had much more energy and looked happier. It was obvious that she was going through something.”
At the time of writing it’s not known who the ‘Million Reasons’ hitmaker is spending time with in Cabo, but she was recently reported to be hanging out a lot with ‘Avengers’ star Jeremy Renner.
Sources say the pair have been “spending time together” recently, and have speculated a romance could be blossoming between the pair.
When she gets back from her vacation though, she’s likely to head straight back into the studio to work on her new album, after she recently teased “LG6” was coming at the same time as dismissing pregnancy rumours.
Earlier this month, she tweeted: “Rumors I’m pregnant? Yeah, I’m pregnant with #LG6 (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur is being “crippled by anxiety”.
The 31-year-old musician was due to perform at a charity show for the Teenage Cancer Trust at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Thursday (28.03.19) night, but in a note posted to Twitter just hours before the concert, he announced he’d be pulling out for the sake of his mental health, which he says has been “badly affecting” him for “days”.
In his message, he wrote: “I’m deeply sorry to announce that I’m going to have to pull out of the Teenage Cancer Trust performance tonight.
“I have been feeling crippled by anxiety and poor mental health over the past few days and it’s badly affecting me. I simply cannot perform tonight.”
The ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ hitmaker then apologised to the Teenage Cancer Trust for dropping out of the show, and declared he is “looking to get help” from a professional for his mental health.
He added: “I would like to profoundly apologise to the amazing Teenage Cancer Trust team, to all that have bought tickets to see me and to the boys from Take That, it was a dream to be able to perform alongside them but devastatingly I cannot perform this evening.
“I promise I will make it up to you and I’m looking to get help for this x”
James has previously struggled with his mental health, and once called himself a “tortured soul”.
He said: “I’ve been a tortured soul. I’ve been through a lot of heartache so I definitely put that in my music. It’s where I express it the best. That’s the thing I rely on the most.”
Talking about growing up in foster care, he added: “It was a bit scary. I lived with a lady who’d taken up fostering children and they were always fairly troubled kids. There was a lot of tension because you’d be fighting a lot and looking over your shoulder. And I just wanted to be back with my sisters and my family. But it probably toughened me up in a good way. I learnt the value of family through that.”
