ITV chief: Love Island and Mike Thalassitis death link would be ‘extremely tenuous’

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV’s chief executive says it would be “extremely tenuous” to link ‘Love Island’ to former contestant Mike Thalassitis’ recent death.
Mike was found dead aged 26 near his Essex home earlier this month, and while Dame Carolyn McCall insists the show does have a duty of care to its contestants, she says the channel “can’t do that forever with an individual”.
She told the Broadcasting Press Guild: “I don’t think anybody has made a direct link between what happened to Mike and ‘Love Island’ and that is very important to say.
“It would be an extremely tenuous thing to do given he was very happy on ‘Love Island’ and all of his mates have actually said that, and he has done two other reality TV shows in the two-year gap.
“We can do everything we possibly can to look after people and to do our duty of care but you can’t do that forever with an individual.
“There has got to be a framework and it will come to an end. It can’t be indefinite.”
Carolyn admitted Mike’s death was “devastating” for the ‘Love Island’ crew because they work with contestants “for nearly 10 weeks of their lives and they know everybody personally”.
She added: “They know them as people and they become friends … it was tragic.”
Carolyn admits ITV “scan” former ‘Love Island’ contestants’ social media, but they weren’t contacting each one “in a structured way” – but that will be a “big change” the network makes.
She added: “People should not have assumed that we didn’t have a duty of care because we did have a duty of care and we had clear processes and procedures. We’ve been evolving them.
“The social media haste and sometimes nastiness … It’s moving so quickly that you have to keep changing and reviewing what you do on an ongoing process.
“We had already changed some of those processes in light of that … and we will continue to do that.
“We would scan what was going on in social media to know what contestants were doing on social media but we weren’t in a structured way contacting all of them.
“That will be one big change for us.
“We relied on them to tell us, or if we saw someone being trolled, for instance, the team would then reach out and say, ‘Do you need some help? Do you want to come in?’ ”
Carolyn’s comments come just days after Richard Cowles, creative director of ITV Studios, admitted contestants on the ITV2 dating show will receive more support and ITV will be “proactively checking in” with former ‘Love Island’ stars “on a regular basis”.
He wrote: “When something so awful happens we naturally enter a period of soul searching and ask whether anything could have been done. This review has led us to extend our support processes to offer therapy to all Islanders and not only those that reach out to us. And we will be delivering bespoke training to all future Islanders to include social media and financial management. The key focus will be for us to no longer be reliant on the Islanders asking us for support but for us to proactively check in with them on a regular basis … We work with an independent GP and a psychological consultant to provide an assessment of the physical and mental health of each of the shortlisted cast members and their suitability for inclusion.”

Sharon Osbourne claims she was axed from X Factor for being ‘too old’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Osbourne has claimed Simon Cowell fired her from ‘The X Factor’ for being “too old”.
The talent show judge had been lined up for the 2018 series but – despite plans to have her appear as a fifth member of the panellist for the live shows – she released a statement shortly after the competition launched to say she’d decided she was no longer needed in the role, and now she has explained why she snubbed a slot on US reality programme ‘The Masked Singer’.
Now, appearing on ‘The Talk’ on Thursday (28.03.19), she alleged: “I was signed on to do another show at the time.
“I was signed to go to England, and then Simon Cowell changed his mind and thought I was too old. Simon goes, ‘She’s old. We need somebody young.’ ”
She added: “So if you want young, fire yourself and get rid of those man t**s.”
Late last year Sharon, 66, took another swipe at music mogul Simon – who appeared alongside Louis Tomlinson, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field on the panel – as she blamed the ‘X Factor’ boss for the show’s ratings decline.
She said: “Unfortunately, not out of malice, but I am only saying this because Simon’s quote thinks it is funny, that the figures have dropped, and dropped and dropped through the course of the show.
“I am not saying it was all me at all, but [it’s because of] his decision to change the show again and again and again.”
When she announced her departure in October 2018, she called him “gracious” and wished the show “success”.
She said on Facebook: “Simon was so gracious to find me a spot on the live shows but at this point I really don’t think I’m needed and I would honestly feel odd coming in at this point. So I have decided to pass on the series this year.
“I wish the show continued success and as much as I love to get my face on TV you will have to do without me this season.”

Tom Hanks in talks to play Elvis Presley’s manager in new film

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hanks is in talks to play Elvis Presley’s former manager Colonel Tom Parker in a new film.
The 62-year-old actor is in negotiations with Warner Bros. about taking on the role in director Baz Luhrmann’s new biopic about the legendary King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Insiders told Variety a budget is still being worked out for the motion picture, but it is hoped Hanks signing up will push the project along.
Luhrmann will direct the movie and has penned the script alongside Craig Pearce, and the filmmaker is keen to hire a newcomer to play the late musician, who died in 1977 aged 42.
The director is said to be keen to begin production on the project later this year.
Parker – who died in 1997 aged 87 – spotted Elvis when he was relatively unknown in the 1950s and initially helped him with bookings and promotion before becoming his manager.
He went on to arrange the music legend’s deal with RCA, and the singer’s first single with the label, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, set him on the way to stardom after it was released in January 1956.
In 1987, Parker admitted he didn’t get involved in Elvis’ musical decisions, but did urge the star to record his 1969 hit ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight’ because he felt the tune was “good for him”.
He said: “I never was involved with what songs he was going to record. Very seldom I was ever in the studio. He picked his own songs.
“The only song that I was able to have him record because I thought it was good for him was ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight’.”
Hanks is no stranger to playing real-life figures, having starred as Walt Disney in ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ and astronaut Jim Lovell in ‘Apollo 13’, among others.

Colin Farrell made sure all horses were treated fairly on Dumbo shoot

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Farrell has “often questioned the use of horses” on film sets.
The ‘Dumbo’ actor – who insisted he has “always” taken extra care to make sure any animals used during filming were treated properly and fairly – added that the live action remake of the 1941 animated classic addresses the issue of “the cruelty of the circus”.
Speaking to Cinemablend, the star – whose character Holt Farrier does ride real horses in the film – said: “I’ve often questioned the use of horses and stuff, because at least a human being says, ‘Yes, I want to be there,’ and is getting paid for their services.
“Whereas a horse has no choice… I’d always be very adamant to make sure the horses, certainly anywhere close to me, aren’t mistreated in any way. And, and across the board, by in large, the horses have always, as far as I could see, have been treated wonderfully. “But this film does make statements on the cruelty of the circus at that particular time, especially in relation to animals.”
It has been revealed that the animals seen on screen were created through CGI effects, and Farrell’s co-star Danny DeVito – who plays ringmaster Max Medici – explained that poodles and snakes were the only creatures used during filming.
He added: “We had five poodles and a snake, and the doggies we played with – I stayed away from the snake.”
Meanwhile, Eva Green – whose trapeze artist character Colette Marchant does interact with the CGI elephant in the movie – also added her pride in working on a project that “promotes animal free circuses”.
She said: “We didn’t have real elephants in this movie. We had wonderful CGI people who created some magic. I’m super proud to be in a Disney movie that promotes animal free circuses. Animals are not meant to live in captivity.”

Liverpool band Her’s killed in crash during US tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Liverpool duo Her’s have tragically died in a crash during their US tour.
Members Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading – and their manager Trevor Engelbrektson – were travelling from Phoenix, Arizona to their show in Santa Ana, California when the accident occurred “in the early hours of Wednesday” (27.03.19), according to their Heist or Hit record label.
In a statement, the label added: “We are all heartbroken. Their energy, vibrancy and talent came to define our label.
“As humans, they were warm, gentle and hilarious. Each time they stopped by the office made for an uplifting experience.”
Stephen and Audun – who released their debut album ‘Invitation To Her’s’ last year and appeared on ‘BBC Introducing’ earlier this week – first met as students in Liverpool, and they were currently in 19-show run of North America.
The label – who have described the pair’s sound as “oddball pop” – added: “They were in America playing to thousands of adoring fans. Fans they made a point of meeting and spending time with, such was their passion and humbleness. The world was at their feet.”
Fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to the musicians.
One tweeted: “I’m in utter shock and disbelief. The world is a cruel place sometimes… Stephen and Auden were wonderful people and fantastic musicians.
“All thoughts with their friends and family RIP x (sic)”

Harry Shum Jr is a dad

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Shum Jr. has become a father for the first time.
The 36-year-old star – who is best known for his role of Mike Chang in ‘Glee’ – and his wife Shelby Rabara have welcomed a daughter, Xia, into the world, and the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ star admits his life is “wonderful” following the little one’s arrival.
Alongside an Instagram picture of his newborn’s feet, Harry quoted lyrics from Sir Elton John’s ‘Your Song’ with a typed note above the image that read: “How wonderful life is, now you’re in the world.”
He also added the caption: “Baby XIA”
Actress Shelby – who has appeared in the likes of movies ’17 Again’ – re-shared Harry’s post on her Instagram, but added the caption: “My everythings (sic)”
The couple – who married in 2015 after eight years of dating – also used the photo-sharing site in November to confirm Shelby was expecting.
Harry posted a picture of his significant other looking shocked while he stood behind her with his hands clasped over her baby bump.
The pair left the caption blank, preferring to let the photo do the talking.
Harry – who is of Chinese descent – admitted last month he can’t wait to teach his child how to make dumplings.
He said: “We’re going to see how her little fingers will make dumplings and what age she can do that herself.
“That was always a fun thing for kids to do. There are so many traditions. I hope to continue the tradition to decorate the whole house with red lanterns and locks turned upside down for good luck.
“When my mom makes dumplings, she is an expert – I’m just trying to keep food inside the dough. I’m hoping to pass it on so my wife and I can be expert-level dumpling makers and be able to pass that down to our kids.”

Bindi Irwin says ‘love lives on’ in tribute to late dad Steve

OHMYGOSSIP — Bindi Irwin’s “love” for her late father Steve Irwin “lives on”.
The 20-year-old star has opened up about her nature expert dad – who tragically died after being attacked by a stingray in 2006 – and shared a touching video of the ‘Crocodile Hunter’ conservationist talking about fatherhood as she admitted she still gets emotional watching clips of him.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “Every time I watch this clip my heart overflows with emotion. The people we love are always with us.
“Love lives on no matter what & I think that is the most beautiful thing about our existence … Thank you, Dad, this moment captured on camera made my whole life.”
Alongside the tweet, Bindi posted footage from an old ‘Australian Story’ documentary which featured Steve doting over her as a baby and speaking about his pride in being parent.
He said in the clip: “I never really wanted to be a dad, I couldn’t really give a rip. And now I’m the proudest father, I gotta tell ya.
“When I go into the field, I have a photo of me and my daughter, and I just sit there and start crying just looking at her.”
The ‘Crikey! It’s the Irwins’ star, along with her brother Robert, 15, and mother Terri, 54, works hard to keep her father’s memory and campaigns alive, and the family travel the world promoting his charity Wildlife Warriors – which aims to educate people about endangered species – as well as working at their Australia Zoo.
And Bindi hopes Steve would be proud of their efforts.
She previously said: “I sure hope dad would be proud. We really do try every day to make him proud and follow in his footsteps. I hope that somewhere he’s out there going, ‘Yes! You did good!’ ”

Kate Beckinsale keeps dad Richard’s memory alive with classic sitcom clips

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Beckinsale keeps her father Richard’s memory alive by watching his old sitcoms.
The 45-year-old star – whose famous father died aged 31 from a congenital heart defect when Kate was just five – has revealed her mum Judy still has “a million videos” of him, and she loves showing her own daughter Lily clips from the likes of ‘Porridge’ and ‘Rising Damp’.
Speaking in the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: “She has my father Richard Beckinsale’s ‘This Is Your Life’ book from his appearance on the show with Eamonn Andrews in 1977, which is really cool. That’s a lovely thing to have. We also have like a million old video tapes, which we can’t watch unless we find a video player. She’s a pretty good custodian of all of that stuff.
“The sitcoms my dad was in are, of course, extremely important to me. It’s also nice to show some of it to my daughter Lily. My mum keeps everything. Not just about my career, things that give you a little bit of a window into who you were. It’s fascinating.”
Earlier this month, Kate marked the 40th anniversary of the death of her father with a touching tribute.
Posting on Instagram, Kate wrote: “40 years is a lot of missing. Thank you so much to everyone who has been kind. Lots of love xx #march19 (sic)”
Kate often posts on social media on the anniversary of her father’s passing, and two years ago she revealed her dad’s best friend had been sending her flowers every year since Richard’s death.
She wrote: “My dad’s best friend has sent my mum and me flowers on the day he died every single year since.
“He has been sending flowers for more years than my dad lived. It’s today. With love and awe at humans rescuing other humans, and that love really does never die, thank you … and love to everyone who is missing someone.”

Shane Richie joins cast of The Entertainer

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ star Shane Richie is to join forces with the soap’s former executive producer Sean O’Connor in a new play.
The 55-year-old actor has joined the cast of John Osborne’s ‘The Entertainer’, which will be directed by Sean, who worked on the soap from June 2016 to June 2017.
Shane – who will play washed-up entertainer Archie Rice in the production – said: “Following in the black patent shoes of Olivier, Gambon, Lindsay and Branagh, it’s an incredible honour to be asked to play one of literature’s greatest fictional characters, Archie Rice.
“In the words of the great man himself, ‘You’re a long time dead, let’s just whoop it up.’ ”
The play is set in 1982 and tells the story of Archie’s soldier son heading off to the Falklands, while his daughter Jean has been campaigning against the war.
Sean told Stage Review: “Osborne’s story has never seemed more relevant or more timely.
“Against the backdrop of the Falklands War, the satirical new world of alternative comedy has dismissed Archie’s style of humour and his sort of act as old-fashioned and even offensive.
“The mother-in-law joke has been outlawed and a generation of entertainers like Archie have suddenly found themselves irrelevant.
“At the same time, in the wake of recent abuse scandals, a certain cultural attitude – and a certain sort of man – has been exposed as outmoded and redundant; this is an Entertainer for 2019.”
Shane has played Alfie in ‘EastEnders’ on and off from 2002. He recently reprised the role in November but hasn’t been seen in Albert Square since January.

Declan Donnelly’s sex life confession

OHMYGOSSIP — Declan Donnelly and Ali Astall wasted no time at all getting their sex life back on track after she welcomed their first child into the world.
That’s according to ‘Britain’s Got More Talent’ host Stephen Mulhern, who claims Dec told him he was planning to get “back on the game straight away” after the couple welcomed daughter Isla last September.
Stephen said: “I was asking him questions: ‘Have you changed the nappy yet? How long before you get back to a bit of nookie?’
“Do you know what he said to that? ‘As soon as possible — you’ve got to get back on the game straight away!’ ”
Stephen often plays fun games with ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ co-hosts Dec and Ant McPartlin on the spin-off show – and to ensure Dec didn’t miss his daughter too much, he instructs the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ presenter to put a nappy on co-presenter Ant to test his skills in an upcoming ‘BGMT’ episode.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Dec’s just had a baby so I thought, ‘Why don’t I dress up as a baby?’
“The outfit looked great and I went in with one of these virtual babies which didn’t stop crying.
“Then we got a man-sized nappy, and made him put it on Ant to show us his nappy-changing skills.
“So Dec put a nappy on Ant and, I’ve got to be honest, he was actually really good at it.”
Dec confirmed on September 1st that he and Ali had welcomed their first child.
He wrote on Twitter: “Ali and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our baby girl, Isla Elizabeth Anne, who was born just after 9 o’clock this morning. Mother and daughter both doing well, Dad is head over heels! D x (sic)”

Danielle Lloyd to try for girl naturally

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Lloyd wants to “save the money” she planned to spend on gender selection treatment.
The 35-year-old model – who has Archie, eight, Harry, seven, and five-year-old George with ex-husband Jamie O’Hara and 18-month-old Reggie with fiancé Michael O’Neill – has made no secret of her desire to have a daughter, and while she’s booked into a fertility clinic later this year, she’s now “glued” to a book advising her on the best way to conceive a girl naturally.
She said:” I’m definitely going to have one more. Michael wants another and the boys keep asking if there’s a girl in my tummy yet. I’m meant to be having gender selection abroad in August but I’ve got a book on how to conceive a girl, which I’m glued to. I’ve been following the advice about the best time to conceive and taking a pregnancy test every month to check. I’ve been thinking I should just save the money and actually have sex!”
The brunette beauty is week away from marrying Michael and she’s delighted with how much her life has turned around following her divorce from Jamie five years ago.
Speaking to the latest issue of Closer magazine, she said: “I remember thinking at the time, ‘Who’d want to go out with me as a mum of three?’ A lot of men would have been put off, but Michael’s a big kid himself and adores the boys. It’s lovely to be with someone who’s not full of themselves and will happily put the bins out – he keeps me grounded.”
Danielle recently insisted gender selection didn’t make her “ungrateful” for her sons, it’s just that she’d love to complete her family with a girl.
She said: “For me, I don’t see the ethical reasons [against it]. I’ve got four boys, so the whole reason for me to do it is for family balance, rather in some countries they do it because a boy is seen as more valuable. I can understand why people get upset and I get women messaging me saying, ‘I can’t even have one child, you’re so ungrateful.’
“I’m not ungrateful, I love my boys; they want a girl as much as me. They’ll say, ‘Is our sister in your belly yet?’
“It’s my life and you only get one. Everyone is entitled to live theirs how they want to, and if that is me getting gender selection because I want a little girl I don’t think anyone should begrudge me [of that].”

Jack Fincham was too scared to leave house due to anxiety

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Fincham was too scared to leave the house during his younger years due to anxiety.
The ‘Love Island’ winner has opened up about his mental health struggles at the age of 13, and things worsened when he was aged between 19 and 21, so much so he had to be signed off work.
Jack told GQ magazine: “I used to take citalopram, which is an antidepressant, and I also took beta blockers for anxiety, propranolol.
“It came sort of out of nowhere and I told my mum and stuff and got signed off from work with it.
“I was just scared to go out of the house. I was worried about things that weren’t happening. I thought I was going mad.”
Jack – who won the ITV2 reality show with his girlfriend Dani Dyer last year – was scared to see a doctor about his problems because he didn’t want to make things “real” and “cried to his mum” instead.
He said: “I thought if I said it out loud to a doctor then it would make it real.
“I didn’t want to believe that this was happening to me – or why it was happening to me.”
The former pen salesman also confessed he used to get upset about “nasty” messages from vile online trolls after he shot to fame last summer.
He added: “Just because you’re on TV it doesn’t mean you’ve become bulletproof.”

Taika earned critical acclaim for his films ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ and ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’ before rising to international fame for his role in Marvel’s 2017 ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ – which he also helmed – playing supporting character Korg.
The movie will follow Ryan, 42, as the titular Guy – a bank teller who discovers that he’s actually a character living within an open-world video game – while Taika will play the owner of the company that makes the game, which is soon to be shut down.
The comedy will be penned by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn and the cast will also feature ‘Killing Eve’ actress Jodie Comer and ‘Stranger Things’ star Joe Keery.
The ‘Deadpool’ star will produce via his company, Maximum Effort, while Levy is also producing with his 21 Laps Entertainment banner along with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter of Berlanti Productions and Adam Kolbrenner.

The pilot is reportedly being created for Apple, with the potential to turn it into a full series if it is well received.
Anonymous Content, Paramount Television and Media Rights Capital are co-producing the episode, whilst Waititi, Gilliam, and Dan Halstead will also serve as the project’s executive producers.

Denzel Washington in talks to star in Macbeth adaptation

OHMYGOSSIP — Denzel Washington is in talks to star in Joel Coen’s film adaptation of ‘Macbeth’.
The 64-year-old Hollywood legend is reportedly set to star alongside Frances McDormand in a big screen adaptation of the classic Shakespeare play which expects to begin shooting before the end of the year.
The script will also be penned by Cohen with Scott Rudin producing, and A24 to distribute worldwide, according to Deadline.
The play follows a lord, most likely played by Washington, who is convinced by a trio of witches that he’s destined to become the king of Scotland and so tries to seize the crown by any means necessary with the help of his wife, likely portrayed by McDormand.
There have been numerous film and TV versions of the ‘Scottish Play’ – the first was a movie by Orson Welles in 1948 and the latest was a 2005 series by Peter Moffat showing a modern adaptation set in a Glasgow restaurant starring James McAvoy as Joe Macbeth and Keeley Hawes as Ella, the Lady Macbeth character.
Washington is also soon set to star in cop thriller ‘Little Things’ which will see him portray overburdened Kern County Deputy Sheriff Deke in the forthcoming flick, which is being written by John Lee Hancock.
The plot sees Deke join forces with LA County Sheriff’s Department detective, Baxter, to get a serial killer behind bars and the movie has the title because Washington’s alter-ego is into digging out the “little things” in his cases.
Washington has made a name for himself in police dramas and won the Best Actor Oscar for his role as corrupt narcotics officer Alonzo Harris alongside Ethan Hawke (Jake Hoyt) in 2001’s ‘Training Day’.

Shaun Ryder admits Black Grape days were a haze

OHMYGOSSIP — Shaun Ryder took so many drugs when he was the frontman of Black Grape in the 90s that the band’s career felt like “one long, mad week”.
The hellraising singer formed the group in 1993 after his iconic Manchester band the Happy Mondays split, but Shaun admits he has very little recollection of his time fronting the act because he was taking so many different substances, including cocaine, weed, ecstasy and heroin, but his favourite drug of choice was prescribed tranquilliser temazepam.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “That three years from 1995 to 1998, looking back, just doesn’t make sense time-wise. When we came out the other side, it was actually three years later and we were like, ‘Where have we been for the last three years?’
“Forget cocaine, forget heroin, forget ecstasy, the best drug we could all be on at that point was temazepam.”
Shaun was once so high that he woke up in a stranger’s basement sandwiched between two naked waitresses and a gun which appeared to have been fired.
He said: “I remember where the gun came from, but there was three bullets missing from the chamber, and I haven’t a f***ing clue where the bullets ended up.”
Shaun, now 56, still tours with Black Grape and a reunited line-up of the Happy Mondays.
The ‘Step On’ hitmaker has been clean of drugs for over 16 years and he credits taking cycling for helping him kick his habit by going cold turkey.
The father-of-six said: “It was cycling that got me off drugs. I’d get on my bike very early in the morning and keep cycling until very late at night, day after day, until it was out of the system. I was pedalling from 8am until 11pm. But once that’s done, you still have to deal with the mental stuff.”
Shaun had previously tried to quit heroin by using a stomach implant but it was an utter disaster.
He said: “Trying to quit heroin using a stomach implant was disastrous. I tried it in 1995 when it was still a new thing. The problem was that they withdraw you while you’re out unconscious, and I expected to wake up feeling fine. But I didn’t. I woke up and it was f**king murderous.”

Keith Richards reveals why he’s given up vodka

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Richards has given up drinking vodka because he “got fed up”.
The legendary Rolling Stones guitarist has opened up about changing his booze habits, and admitted while he thinks he’s “indestructible” he decided to slow down a bit instead of constantly trying to prove it.
Speaking to The Sun, he said: “I’m pretty indestructible. But it’s not my job to keep proving I’m indestructible! I’m a little slower paced these days. [The boozing] just went on too long so I’m giving up the hard stuff.
“I got fed up with it quite honestly, though I still have a glass of wine with meals and the odd beer here and there.
“In fact, I don’t know if I got fed up with booze or if booze got fed up with me. I was just doing it because that’s what I do but then I realised, ‘I don’t need this for breakfast.’ ”
Despite admitting he does feel healthier after cutting out his spirit of choice, Keith joked he was “still waiting for an epiphany”.
He added: “It’s another experiment. I’ve spent my whole life giving things up. Although I feel a lot better, I’m still waiting for an epiphany!”
The 75-year-old star also revealed he never thinks about his age “until the number comes up”, and insisted he feels like he’s “evolving” despite his advanced years.
He said: “I never think about it until the number comes up,” he admits. If I say, ‘How much is that?’ and somebody says, ’75 bucks,’ I think, ‘Christ, that’s how old I am!’
“I feel as if I’m evolving rather than getting old. Physically, I’m in good shape and I have the same enthusiasm for what I do. I love writing songs. Every songwriter will tell you that every song you ever hear is a hundred songs that didn’t make it!”
