Lady Gaga deeply moved by Grammy nominations

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga spent all of Friday morning (07.12.18) in tears after being “deeply moved” by her Grammy nominations.
The 32-year-old pop star and her ‘A Star Is Born’ co-star Bradley Cooper – who also directed the movie – have been nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo Performance for the blockbuster musical movie’s soundtrack ‘Shallow’.
The song has also been shortlisted for Record of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker – who also received a nod for Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Goin’?) – reacted on Twitter: “I am so deeply moved I’ve been in tears all morning. Thank you to the Recording Academy for recognising our song Shallow from A Star is Born in four categories including Record and Song of the Year!
“And thank you deeply for nominating my piano version of Joanne, a song I sang while I was recovering from many issues, a moment that revived me, a song about family and loss.
“I love you and I love my fans so so very much. Thank you for this honour. God Bless. (sic)”
Gaga – who already has six Grammys – also thanked the Recording Academy for recognising “true artist and musician” Cooper.
She added: “And congratulations to a true artist and musician Bradley Cooper, nominated alongside me.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the friendship and power of his artistry and to stand with him.”
Gaga recently received a nomination for Best Actress at the Golden Globes for her acting debut in the remake of the 1937 classic.

Bruno Tonioli brands Craig Revel Horwood ‘bitter’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruno Tonioli has branded Craig Revel Horwood “bitter”.
The Italian ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge has addressed claims the panto star called him an “attention seeker” and has insisted Craig is simply “jealous” he’s “more popular”.
He told The Sun newspaper: “There’s more than a hint of bitterness there.
“He’s trying to create some attention for himself. He’s jealous I’m more popular than him.”
The 63-year-old dance expert also dismissed Craig’s comments saying he is “tight” with his money, claiming he treated him to an extravagant birthday meal at London’s world famous The Ivy restaurant.
He added: “And tight? I paid for him and Bananarama at The Ivy for my birthday party, so he can’t say that.
“I bought a meal for him and his boyfriend at The Ivy and he must have drunk 20 bottles of rosé.”
Though he and Craig don’t always agree, Bruno says the current judging panel – completed by head judge Shirley Ballas and Dame Darcey Bussell – is the “best”.
He said: “We’re like the Spice Girls. We all have different traits in our personality and we just work that angle.
“Craig is the evil, bitter pantomime dame.
“Darcey is just gorgeous, she’s The Lady. And Shirley is the school mistress.
“They call me the jester who never quite knows what is going to come out.”
Bruno also quipped that he’s nearly wiped Shirley out several times with his flamboyant and erratic arm gestures, after admitting she has the most “dangerous” job in television sitting next to him.
He joked: “I’ve nearly decapitated her a few times.
“She’s now got her ducking and diving down to a T.”
He said previously: “I think poor Shirley has the most dangerous job in TV. I think she’s got almost decapitated quite a few times.
“The reason [it’s happening more] is this series is probably one of the most exciting we’ve ever had. It’s so wonderful seeing the competitors always deliver such exciting performances, I can’t help but express myself physically. Poor Shirley, she’s a specialist in diving and ducking!”

Hailey Bieber’s social media anxiety

OHMYGOSSIP — Hailey Bieber gets “immediate anxiety” when she logs back onto her social media accounts.
The 22-year-old model finds it tough having some of the most positive things in her life – her career, her relationship – “tore apart” every time she goes back onto social media and admits she finds it “hard to focus on your well being and mental health” when all this is happening.
Writing on her Instagram story, she shared: “Being off of Instagram is the best thing ever. Whenever I take breaks from it I feel so much better so much happy as a person … the second I come back on I get immediate anxiety, I get sad and I get worked up. It’s hard to focus on your well being and mental health when each time you open Instagram someone is tearing apart your job, or your relationship or essentially any of the things in your life that are positive. I just don’t believe we’re called to live a life where we’re so easily caught up in strangers opinions on something they have NOTHING to do with. We need to take a step back and realise we need to express more love and encouragement to one another instead of consistently tearing people down and judging. This world has enough hatred, hurt and pain as it is, the last thing we need is more negativity, hate and division. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Hailey previously revealed she has taken a back seat with her career to spend time with Justin.
Speaking before she got married, she said: “I’ve tried to be really choosy with fashion week going forward, just because I want to have the time to spend being relaxed and being with family – and my fiancé.”

Maggie Gyllenhaal terrified about directing

OHMYGOSSIP — Maggie Gyllenhaal is “terrified” about directing.
The ‘Dark Knight’ star is nervous about taking the helm of a movie but feels she “has” to do it sooner rather than later, and has her eye on making her debut with an adaptation of the Elena Ferrante novel, ‘The Lost Daughter’.
Speaking to reporters during a ‘Kindergarten Teacher’ Q&A at the Hotel Plaza Athenée, she said: “I’m adapting an Elena Ferrante novel called The Lost Daughter. I actually just finished the second draft of the adaptation. I’m still working on it, but I’m just now starting to think about the elements of directing it. I feel actually sometimes terrified about the idea of directing. But I also think I have to.”
Meanwhile, Maggie previously called for every set to have someone there to support actors during sex scenes.
She said: “When you do a stunt and someone slaps you, someone else is there to make sure you’re physically safe, so why don’t we have that with sex scenes? I thought it would be good to have someone make the actor feel comfortable. [To have someone] phone them up the night before and ask if they’re OK. To say, ‘This is what we’re going to do tomorrow and this is what you agreed to, it’s in your contract but it’s OK if you change your mind.’ I can hold my own, I’ve done plenty of sex scenes. But if you’re young and nervous and you’ve never done it before, it can be scary.”

Fleur East leaves I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Fleur East has finished fourth on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’.
The ‘Sax’ hitmaker narrowly missed out on a place in the final of the ITV jungle show, leaving Emily Atack, John Barrowman and Harry Redknapp to fight to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle in Sunday night’s (09.12.18) final.
Speaking after her exit, Fleur said: “It was nothing like I expected. It was a lot harder than I thought, a lot more challenging than I thought. But just so rewarding aswell. I didn’t imagine I’d learn so much from it, as much as I did.”
The former ‘X Factor’ contestant was known for her positive attitude and personality during her time on the show and she soon became the one to live the camp’s spirits.
She shared: “That’s generally how I am – always like to be positive, always looking for the silver lining. I just kind of fitted into that role naturally. I felt like I needed to keep everyone up … I didn’t even realise how much until it was always like, ‘Fleur sing us a song!’ I was like, ‘Oh really, is that what I do?'”
And Fleur is now backing former football manager Harry to win.
Asked who she’d like to win, she said: “It’s gotta be Hazza. It’s got to be my dad. 100 per cent, I would love to see him crowned king … Hazza, I miss him terribly. I know I’ll see him tomorrow but he was like my dad in there … The minute I saw him, I just looked in his eyes and I was like bam family! Instantly, it was like I’d known him for years and years and years.”
During Saturday night’s (08.12.18) episode, the final four took part in the famous Celebrity Cyclone challenge. Due to his sprained foot, John had a different task and was asked to throw the stars to his fellow campmates, who made their way up the slippery slope towards the star symbols. The three other campmates got to their allocated positions and then a wave of slime came tumbling down, sending them back to the start but they all managed to regain their places with seconds to spare.

Lauren Jauregui: It’s an incredible time for women

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Jauregui thinks it is “such an incredible time to be a woman in music”.
The former Fifth Harmony singer has gushed about how amazing women in music are at the moment and praised them for breaking down barriers and smashing ceilings.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Billboard Women in Music event this week, she said: “It’s such an incredible time to be a woman in music. I think there are a lot of barriers that are being broken and a lot of ceilings that are being smashed by some incredible women that I have the honour of honouring tonight.”
Meanwhile, Lauren previously spoke out to defend Little Mix after they stripped bare for the promo for their single ‘Strip’.
And after they received backlash on Twitter for their decision to show their skin, fellow singer Lauren hit back at critics, claiming their clothing choices don’t make them any “less empowered”.
One critic wrote: “‘Little Mix strip naked and are scrawled with insults.’ Yet again, young women pretend that going naked empowers them. It doesn’t. It’s just another cheap way to sell themselves. But I suppose it makes a nice change from this group dressing like hookers.”
To which she replied: “If your intention is the empowerment of women, how about you don’t add yourself to the list of misogynists who deem what is appropriate enough to be ‘respectable’. All forms deserve respect. They are no less empowered because of their clothing choices. Don’t be salty they look [hot]. (sic)”

Jennifer Aniston will celebrate 50th birthday

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Aniston is planning to “celebrate” when she turns 50.
The former ‘Friends’ star reaches the milestone age in February and she thinks it’s a good time to reflect on her life and goals and won’t “shy away” from marking her birthday.
She said: “I’m going to celebrate. Although every day we get up in the morning I think we need to celebrate anyway, just because we’re still here.
“But I do love celebrating these milestones and I do think they’re worth celebrating, not shying away from, because they offer up a chance for contemplation of life; ‘Where have I been and what have I done and what do I have left to do?'”
The ‘Cake’ actress – who was previously married to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux – finds it frustrating that people assume she is unhappy because she doesn’t have children and her marriages broke down because she insists she’s living her “dream”.
In a chat with HELLO! magazine, she stated: “There is a misconception that there is some sort of unhappiness that I live in, due to the fct that I don’t have some sort of storybook…
“And that’s just simply not true. I have a very nice life.
“I grew up dreaming of becoming an actress and I’ve achieved my dream and have been fortunate enough to continue working and living my dream, which is really quite rare, because it doesn’t happen at all often that you find true success in this business.”
However, Jennifer does hope to expand her career further behind the scenes.
She said: “I still feel creatively excited by my acting and I’ve worked to be good at it and to get better over time, and as I’ve gone along, I’ve also started to realise – well, being just an actress for hire is not as interesting to me now.
“I’d like to explore behind the scenes and go into producing as well as acting.
“So that’s what I’ve been doing and I love it and find it extremely exciting and fulfilling.”

Fearne Cotton’s a party pooper

OHMYGOSSIP — Fearne Cotton doesn’t like parties.
The 37-year-old presenter – who has children Tex, five, and Honey, three, with husband Jesse Wood – hates the noise of big bashes and having to make small talk with people and would much rather have a quiet night in with a small group of friends.
Writing in her column for Red magazine, she said: “I don’t like parties. I don’t think I ever have, but in the past I’d imbibe the whole bar before I had time to stumble upon this realisation. They’re loud and paranoia-inducing.
“Plus, people want to make small talk. Hell!
“Give me a cup of tea and a one-way ticket to a deep, bare-all chat with a small group any day.”
The former BBC Radio 1 DJ has vowed to channel Olympian Usain Bolt in the future and not worry too much about what other people are doing and just to focus on herself and her own goals.
She said: “Comparison is the pits. We all know it is, so why do we still do it?
“This one is a work-in-progress. With our love of social media, not comparing ourselves to others can feel as impossible as watching ‘Bodyguard’ and not fancying Richard Madden.
“Instead, think like Usain Bolt and don’t look in the other lanes.
“Have intrigue and be inspired, but have your own goals, your individual boundaries, your own thoughts and passions.
“Work with those, not someone else’s.”
At the end of every year, Fearne likes to reflect on what she’s learned and writes a thank you letter for her experiences.
She explained: “Every year I write a thank you list for the one before and everything it’s taught me – no matter how calm or stormy it’s been.
“There will be the obvious thank yous – for general health and my family – but also a lot of gratitude for the bits that didn’t go so well.
“Often there’s a spark of clarity or precious lessons to be learnt, not from the good times or successes, but from the tougher bumps in the road.”

Caroline Flack reveals depression battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Caroline Flack has opened up about her battle with depression.
The 39-year-old TV presenter says her mental health problems started just days after she was crowned the winner of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2014 and she was prescribed anti-depressants while hosting ‘The X Factor’ in 2015.
Caroline’s doctor recommended citalopram — used to treat depression and panic attacks — but the drugs left her feeling “numb” and she quit them after six months.
She told The Sun on Sunday: “People see the celebrity lifestyle and assume everything is perfect, but we’re just like everyone else. Everyone is battling something emotional behind closed doors — that’s life. Fame doesn’t make you happy.
“Anti-depressants helped me get up in the morning, and stopped me from being sad, but what they also do is stop you from being happy.
“So I was just in this numb state. I stopped laughing at jokes, and that’s just not me.
“I came off them after six months, as I realised feeling something was better than feeling nothing at all.”
Caroline revealed her friendship with Olly Murs took a hit after they were treated “like a joke” during their ‘X Factor’ presenting stint and she compared it a “break-up”.
However, in the past year, the pair have reconciled and are getting their friendship back on track.
Caroline also explained that her on/off romance with Andrew Brady, 28, is currently off, explaining that although they have a “passionate, raw love”, they need to be happy with themselves before they can be together again.

Gary Barlow’s grief for daughter Poppy

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow says his continued grief over stillborn daughter Poppy helps him to feel closer to her.
The 47-year-old pop star and Dawn suffered the heartbreak of losing their daughter Poppy in August 2012, and Gary says he will never get over it.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Desert Island Discs’, Gary shared: “For anyone who has been through anything like this I think it’s something you accept you’re going to be dealing with the rest of your life. In a strange way you don’t want it to end because it’s one of the few things you have to remind you of the person that’s not there. In some ways the pain and the grief brings you closer to them.”
Gary – who has Daniel, 18, Emily, 16, and Daisy, nine, with Dawn – also revealed he and Dawn had many discussions about whether he should open up about Poppy in his autobiography ‘A Better Me’.
He explained: “It felt important to me as a 47-year-old man to talk about something bad that’s happened and how it made me feel. You can pick up several magazines and know how women deal with things and learn how other people have experienced them and for some reason men don’t talk about those things.”
Gary previously revealed that he hopes talking about his own heartbreak will encourage other people to follow suit.
The Take That star explained: “After Poppy died, people wrote to me about suffering the same awful experience. Many had kept so much of it locked away in secret.
“I’ve wondered about the value and purpose in sharing something so private, but I’d have been denying Poppy her legacy not to. Maybe sharing our story will help others talk about theirs.”

Zoe Kravitz felt an ‘idiot’ on green screen

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Kravitz felt like an “idiot” acting on green screen in ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’.
The 30-year-old actress portrays Leda Lestrange in the latest wizarding saga and though she initially felt uncomfortable about the special effects world, she grew to view the scenes as a “wonderful gift”.
Talking to SciFiNow magazine, she said: “That stuff is always tricky because you have to fully commit but you kind of feel like an idiot at the same time.
“I think it’s a wonderful gift because you get to turn into your childhood self and remember what it’s like when you’re in your background using your imagination.”
The ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ star recently admitted she gets “nervous” when she doesn’t have another job lined up when she’s about to complete a project.
She told the December issue of Elle magazine: “If I don’t have [the next] job lined up, I get nervous.
“It’s irrational, maybe. But also good. When I was in high school, if a girl didn’t like me, the first thing she’d say was, ‘You think you’re so cool because of your parents.’
“That carries into later life, like, ‘Oh, you just got this part because your parents are this and that.’
“It’s important to acknowledge that I got in the door easier because of them.
“Some kids work their whole lives and they can’t even get an agent to call them back.
“That part was handed to me. People are always going to think that maybe you are who you are because of your family. So it’s my responsibility to work harder.”

Meghan Trainor sheltered from negative comments by her mom

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Trainor’s mom has blocked negative comments on her Twitter.
The ‘All About That Bass’ hitmaker admits she doesn’t really have a thick skin and her mother has protected her by muting all the mean comments from her mentions so she can’t read them and just leaving the positive ones.
She said: “I didn’t even know my mum was doing it, but from the beginning of my career, she went on my Twitter and ‘muted’ the mean comments so I never could see them. You can’t affect me ’cause my mum will get to you first!
“I think at the end of the day, no matter if you’re a pop star or what your career is, or what age you’re at, I think you’ll be affected by it (mean comments on social media), even if you’re like, ‘I’m really strong and that doesn’t bug me.’ I think … the human part of us, no matter how strong I can be as a person, I’m gonna get affected by it, and I always do, I always get affected by it.”
Meghan’s mom has always been very protective of her and when she was younger, she didn’t allow her to use Facebook for fear of her getting bullied.
She told The Today Show: “I remember I always wanted to be on Facebook and my mum wouldn’t let me … so I would like, sneak on, but then the first time I ever got really bullied was because someone posted an ugly picture of me and wanted me to get hurt from it. I went to my parents, I was like, ‘Hey, I messed up, I went on Facebook like you told me not to do, and now my heart’s destroyed,’ and they were like, ‘Don’t do anything, don’t try to comment and be mean.’ I just cried for a long time, and I’m still scarred from it.”

Kate Bush hates listening to her old music

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Bush finds it “disappointing” listening back to her old records.
The ‘Wuthering Heights’ hitmaker can always find faults in her music but hopes to learn from the things she would have changed when recording something new – but doesn’t find that particularly easy.
Speaking to MOJO magazine, she said: “I mean, it’s always quite a disappointing process for me, listening back to stuff.
“Because either I think, ‘Oh, I would’ve remixed that’ or ‘I shouldn’t have done this’ or ‘That was good but I didn’t make enough of it.’
“But that’s all part of hopefully a continuing process that you can take into the next record and maybe try to correct it and not make the same mistakes again.
“But it’s very hard because, of course, we all tend to repeat mistakes don’t we.”
The 60-year-old singer sometimes wishes her music had been “easier” so she could have made more records, but she thinks it’s “nice” she took so much care with all her albums.
Speaking in 2005 in a newly-published interview, she said: “I suppose it would have been nice if they’d been a bit easier.
“It would’ve been nice if some of the stuff I did wasn’t always so hard.
“I mean, I could’ve made more records.
“That would have been an easy choice.
“So I had that choice and I chose not to.
“I chose to go through this incredibly sort of masochistic way of making records, which takes a long time and obviously there’s fewer of them.
“But I think what’s nice is, although there aren’t many records out there, they’ve all been made with a lot of care.”

Chance the Rapper taking sabbatical

OHMYGOSSIP — Chance the Rapper is taking a “sabbatical” to study the Bible.
The ‘Cocoa Butter Kisses’ hitmaker is taking a break from the spotlight to “learn the Word of God” so he can be a more “educated” uncle.
He wrote on Instagram: “I’m on a plane headed out the country on my first sabbatical. I’m going away to learn the Word of God which I am admittedly very unfamiliar with. I’ve been brought up by my family to know Christ but I haven’t taken it upon myself to really just take a couple days and read my bible … we all quote scripture and tell each other what God likes and doesn’t like but how much time do we spend as followers of Jesus to really just read and KNOW his Word. I’m definitely guilty of not devoting time to it. So I’m off to read and learn because the next generation of Bennett is here and I need to be able to give my nephew Charlie Matthew the knowledge and tools to F**K YALL UP … Lol but seriously he’s the first boy of the next line and he needs his uncle to be educated. (sic)”
And it is not the first time the Chicago-born rapper has tried to help and guide others, as he recently donated $1 million – funds which he raised through the ticket sales for his tour – to public schools in the city he grew up in to help give children a “quality learning experience”.
He said: “I’m committed to help Chicago’s children have quality learning experiences that include the arts. As an artist and after-school teacher, I know the arts are invaluable. They teach kids lessons about how small efforts can have big effects and how collaboration can lead to creativity. This cheque is a call to action. I’m challenging major companies in Chicago and across the U.S. to donate and take action.”

Davina McCall looking for love

OHMYGOSSIP — Davina McCall is looking for love.
The 51-year-old TV presenter split from her husband of 17 years Matthew Robinson, 49, last year and revealed she is now ready to move on with a new man.
She told TV host Matt Johnson and life coach Ben Bidwell on ‘The Naked Professors’ podcast series: “What I want is, I want men – and this is for my daughters and for my son and this is for me – to stand next to me as a partner.
“So everything is a partnership. Everything is like ‘what shall WE do about dinner?’
“It’s not like ‘I’m going to be at work all day and I’m going to cook dinner for you’.
“It used to be ‘What’s for dinner darling?’ And I’d go ‘I’ve got your slippers at the door’.
“It’s not like that anymore, we are in a massive time of change. It’s like ‘this is how you can be a man, and find your way as a man and stand next to a woman and support her and she will support you’.”
Davina – who has three children with Matthew, daughters Holly and Tilly and son Chester – admitted she often fell for “bad boys” when she was younger but the recovering drug and alcohol addict is now very happy in her own company.
She said: “It’s taken me a long time to get here, getting older, happier in my own skin. I’ve learnt a lot from recovery.
“The bad times aren’t as dark as the time you spent using. The peaks and troughs are enjoyable – that is part of the life rollercoaster.
“Age brings you lots of things but it does seem to bring a level of self-knowledge which helps you be more comfortable in your own skin.”

Kim Kardashian West sends Chicago to be with sister Khloe

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West has sent her youngest daughter to Cleveland after the rest of the family got struck down by the flu.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star decided to send Chicago, 10 months, to stay with her sister Khloe in Ohio to stop her little one getting sick.
Speaking to Extra, she said: “Yesterday was a hard day because we have the flu going around. So once the flu happens, and I felt it in the house and my baby didn’t have it – Chicago – I sent her to Cleveland with Khloé. So I said … ‘Khloé, please take her for like four days, because she’ll get sick [at home] with everyone.”
And 38-year-old Kim previously revealed that becoming a mother changed her outlook on life and she now “doesn’t give a f**k about anything” other than her family and it has helped to keep her “grounded”.
She explained: “Being a mom just not makes you give a f**k about anything else but what’s immediately going on inside, like in your home, in your family – like all the other stuff kind of fades away. Nothing matters but your family, so I think it really helps you centre and get grounded.”
Kim is hoping the family gets better soon as she is replacing her mother Kris Jenner as the host of their family’s Christmas Eve party this year.
She shared: “This year is the first year that Kanye and I are having our Christmas Eve party at our house. We’re taking it over from my mom. She’s still throwing it but it’s at our house. We have a little bit more space.
“My goal is that I’m going to get a theme going of what the family should wear, tell them to come 30 minutes early with a photographer, do a quick shot with everyone outside and maybe do a New Year’s card. I might have to really say, ‘Guys, I’m planning this. I’m giving you a time, place and no exceptions. Be there or you’re not allowed in to the party.'”
