Fleur East leaves I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Fleur East has finished fourth on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’.
The ‘Sax’ hitmaker narrowly missed out on a place in the final of the ITV jungle show, leaving Emily Atack, John Barrowman and Harry Redknapp to fight to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle in Sunday night’s (09.12.18) final.
Speaking after her exit, Fleur said: “It was nothing like I expected. It was a lot harder than I thought, a lot more challenging than I thought. But just so rewarding aswell. I didn’t imagine I’d learn so much from it, as much as I did.”
The former ‘X Factor’ contestant was known for her positive attitude and personality during her time on the show and she soon became the one to live the camp’s spirits.
She shared: “That’s generally how I am – always like to be positive, always looking for the silver lining. I just kind of fitted into that role naturally. I felt like I needed to keep everyone up … I didn’t even realise how much until it was always like, ‘Fleur sing us a song!’ I was like, ‘Oh really, is that what I do?'”
And Fleur is now backing former football manager Harry to win.
Asked who she’d like to win, she said: “It’s gotta be Hazza. It’s got to be my dad. 100 per cent, I would love to see him crowned king … Hazza, I miss him terribly. I know I’ll see him tomorrow but he was like my dad in there … The minute I saw him, I just looked in his eyes and I was like bam family! Instantly, it was like I’d known him for years and years and years.”
During Saturday night’s (08.12.18) episode, the final four took part in the famous Celebrity Cyclone challenge. Due to his sprained foot, John had a different task and was asked to throw the stars to his fellow campmates, who made their way up the slippery slope towards the star symbols. The three other campmates got to their allocated positions and then a wave of slime came tumbling down, sending them back to the start but they all managed to regain their places with seconds to spare.

Lauren Jauregui: It’s an incredible time for women

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Jauregui thinks it is “such an incredible time to be a woman in music”.
The former Fifth Harmony singer has gushed about how amazing women in music are at the moment and praised them for breaking down barriers and smashing ceilings.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Billboard Women in Music event this week, she said: “It’s such an incredible time to be a woman in music. I think there are a lot of barriers that are being broken and a lot of ceilings that are being smashed by some incredible women that I have the honour of honouring tonight.”
Meanwhile, Lauren previously spoke out to defend Little Mix after they stripped bare for the promo for their single ‘Strip’.
And after they received backlash on Twitter for their decision to show their skin, fellow singer Lauren hit back at critics, claiming their clothing choices don’t make them any “less empowered”.
One critic wrote: “‘Little Mix strip naked and are scrawled with insults.’ Yet again, young women pretend that going naked empowers them. It doesn’t. It’s just another cheap way to sell themselves. But I suppose it makes a nice change from this group dressing like hookers.”
To which she replied: “If your intention is the empowerment of women, how about you don’t add yourself to the list of misogynists who deem what is appropriate enough to be ‘respectable’. All forms deserve respect. They are no less empowered because of their clothing choices. Don’t be salty they look [hot]. (sic)”

Jennifer Aniston will celebrate 50th birthday

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Aniston is planning to “celebrate” when she turns 50.
The former ‘Friends’ star reaches the milestone age in February and she thinks it’s a good time to reflect on her life and goals and won’t “shy away” from marking her birthday.
She said: “I’m going to celebrate. Although every day we get up in the morning I think we need to celebrate anyway, just because we’re still here.
“But I do love celebrating these milestones and I do think they’re worth celebrating, not shying away from, because they offer up a chance for contemplation of life; ‘Where have I been and what have I done and what do I have left to do?'”
The ‘Cake’ actress – who was previously married to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux – finds it frustrating that people assume she is unhappy because she doesn’t have children and her marriages broke down because she insists she’s living her “dream”.
In a chat with HELLO! magazine, she stated: “There is a misconception that there is some sort of unhappiness that I live in, due to the fct that I don’t have some sort of storybook…
“And that’s just simply not true. I have a very nice life.
“I grew up dreaming of becoming an actress and I’ve achieved my dream and have been fortunate enough to continue working and living my dream, which is really quite rare, because it doesn’t happen at all often that you find true success in this business.”
However, Jennifer does hope to expand her career further behind the scenes.
She said: “I still feel creatively excited by my acting and I’ve worked to be good at it and to get better over time, and as I’ve gone along, I’ve also started to realise – well, being just an actress for hire is not as interesting to me now.
“I’d like to explore behind the scenes and go into producing as well as acting.
“So that’s what I’ve been doing and I love it and find it extremely exciting and fulfilling.”

Fearne Cotton’s a party pooper

OHMYGOSSIP — Fearne Cotton doesn’t like parties.
The 37-year-old presenter – who has children Tex, five, and Honey, three, with husband Jesse Wood – hates the noise of big bashes and having to make small talk with people and would much rather have a quiet night in with a small group of friends.
Writing in her column for Red magazine, she said: “I don’t like parties. I don’t think I ever have, but in the past I’d imbibe the whole bar before I had time to stumble upon this realisation. They’re loud and paranoia-inducing.
“Plus, people want to make small talk. Hell!
“Give me a cup of tea and a one-way ticket to a deep, bare-all chat with a small group any day.”
The former BBC Radio 1 DJ has vowed to channel Olympian Usain Bolt in the future and not worry too much about what other people are doing and just to focus on herself and her own goals.
She said: “Comparison is the pits. We all know it is, so why do we still do it?
“This one is a work-in-progress. With our love of social media, not comparing ourselves to others can feel as impossible as watching ‘Bodyguard’ and not fancying Richard Madden.
“Instead, think like Usain Bolt and don’t look in the other lanes.
“Have intrigue and be inspired, but have your own goals, your individual boundaries, your own thoughts and passions.
“Work with those, not someone else’s.”
At the end of every year, Fearne likes to reflect on what she’s learned and writes a thank you letter for her experiences.
She explained: “Every year I write a thank you list for the one before and everything it’s taught me – no matter how calm or stormy it’s been.
“There will be the obvious thank yous – for general health and my family – but also a lot of gratitude for the bits that didn’t go so well.
“Often there’s a spark of clarity or precious lessons to be learnt, not from the good times or successes, but from the tougher bumps in the road.”

Caroline Flack reveals depression battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Caroline Flack has opened up about her battle with depression.
The 39-year-old TV presenter says her mental health problems started just days after she was crowned the winner of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2014 and she was prescribed anti-depressants while hosting ‘The X Factor’ in 2015.
Caroline’s doctor recommended citalopram — used to treat depression and panic attacks — but the drugs left her feeling “numb” and she quit them after six months.
She told The Sun on Sunday: “People see the celebrity lifestyle and assume everything is perfect, but we’re just like everyone else. Everyone is battling something emotional behind closed doors — that’s life. Fame doesn’t make you happy.
“Anti-depressants helped me get up in the morning, and stopped me from being sad, but what they also do is stop you from being happy.
“So I was just in this numb state. I stopped laughing at jokes, and that’s just not me.
“I came off them after six months, as I realised feeling something was better than feeling nothing at all.”
Caroline revealed her friendship with Olly Murs took a hit after they were treated “like a joke” during their ‘X Factor’ presenting stint and she compared it a “break-up”.
However, in the past year, the pair have reconciled and are getting their friendship back on track.
Caroline also explained that her on/off romance with Andrew Brady, 28, is currently off, explaining that although they have a “passionate, raw love”, they need to be happy with themselves before they can be together again.

Gary Barlow’s grief for daughter Poppy

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow says his continued grief over stillborn daughter Poppy helps him to feel closer to her.
The 47-year-old pop star and Dawn suffered the heartbreak of losing their daughter Poppy in August 2012, and Gary says he will never get over it.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Desert Island Discs’, Gary shared: “For anyone who has been through anything like this I think it’s something you accept you’re going to be dealing with the rest of your life. In a strange way you don’t want it to end because it’s one of the few things you have to remind you of the person that’s not there. In some ways the pain and the grief brings you closer to them.”
Gary – who has Daniel, 18, Emily, 16, and Daisy, nine, with Dawn – also revealed he and Dawn had many discussions about whether he should open up about Poppy in his autobiography ‘A Better Me’.
He explained: “It felt important to me as a 47-year-old man to talk about something bad that’s happened and how it made me feel. You can pick up several magazines and know how women deal with things and learn how other people have experienced them and for some reason men don’t talk about those things.”
Gary previously revealed that he hopes talking about his own heartbreak will encourage other people to follow suit.
The Take That star explained: “After Poppy died, people wrote to me about suffering the same awful experience. Many had kept so much of it locked away in secret.
“I’ve wondered about the value and purpose in sharing something so private, but I’d have been denying Poppy her legacy not to. Maybe sharing our story will help others talk about theirs.”

Matt Willis is an Instagram addicted

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Willis is “addicted” to Instagram.
The Busted star has no intention of letting his three children, Isabelle, nine, Ace, seven, and two-year-old Trixie – who he has with wife Emma Willis – use social media sites until they are much older, but admitted his own use is getting out of hand.
He said: “There is no social media in my home until I decide my children can have it.
“When my daughter is at secondary school, she can have a phone so I can contact her.
“At the moment they have no access to it and we don’t put them on there.
“I’m addicted to it myself, I’m constantly checking Instagram. It drives my wife nuts.”
Matt’s bandmate, Charlie Simpson – who has Arlo, three, and nine-month-old Jago with wife Anna – agrees with his social media stance.
He said: “You don’t want your kid to be the one who doesn’t have it, but I won’t let my kids go on social media until they’re at least 12.”
However, both stars – who are joined in the band by James Bourne, who has no children – are keen to have their kids follow in their musical footsteps.
Charlie said: “I want them to – Arlo’s really musical. “I’ll encourage it but I’ll also be very frank about the music industry today.”
Matt added: “I want my kids to go into music. I just got Ace his first bass for his birthday.”
Earlier this year, Matt and Emma marked their 10th anniversary with a wedding vow renewal ceremony and it’s inspired Charlie – who has been married for four years – to want to do the same thing.
He said: “I’d never considered renewing my vows but maybe we’ll do it to mark 10 years too.”

Christopher Biggins: ‘Getting kicked off CBB was worst moment of my career’

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Biggins says getting kicked off ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2016 was the worst moment of his career.
The 69-year-old star was ousted from the show after he made a joke about concentration camps, telling Jewish singer Katie Waissel, “You better be careful or they’ll be putting you in a shower and taking you to a room,” and Christopher has admitted it was the lowest moment of his professional life.
He told the Sunday Mirror: “I’ve had a fantastic career. The only lowlight was when I was evicted from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’. But I soon got over that and I’m now much more contented and happy than ever.”
And Christopher hit out at the showbiz industry today, saying people are labelled stars even when they don’t have any star talent.
He said: “I think we misuse the word star. Stars are movie stars and singers. Now we use it for reality TV stars who aren’t real stars.
“They should be called something else. They are just famous for five minutes.
“Showbiz has changed in a bad way. I feel I’ve seen the best. I’ve had an amazing life and I’ve loved everything I’ve done.”
Christopher also spoke about how much he still misses his close friend Cilla Black, who died in 2015 at the age of 72.
He said: “I still miss her. If I hear something I know she will like, I still go to pick up the phone to call her. We were so close. One time we were out in Oxford with our husbands and they got very drunk and ended up in the gutter so we left them there. We were utterly appalled.”

Taron Egerton nervous around horses after set mishap

OHMYGOSSIP — Taron Egerton is “quite nervous” around horses and was thrown by one of the beasts on the set of ‘Robin Hood’.
The 29-year-old actor had to learn to ride for his title role in ‘Robin Hood’ and he found it very “challenging”, especially after being thrown off one of the creatures at the beginning of his lessons.
He shared with Empire magazine: “Learning to ride was probably the most challenging thing. I’m actually quite nervous of horses and they sense that. I like things that I’m perched on the top of to be reliable and solid. I was thrown off the horse in the first couple of weeks, which was pretty intense.
“But that’s the joy of being an actor – having these new challenges to mount. Quite literally in this case.”
Taron also endured more “challenging” preparations in the form of archery.
He said: “I trained in traditional Saracen archery with a recurve bow. You load alternating arrows on the opposite side of the bow, which allows you to hold another four in your hand at any one time, fire them, grab another four and repeat fire.
“I was taught by a Danish guy, Lars Anderson – he’s quite a stern taskmaster.
“We spent quite a few hours together. It was very challenging.”
Taron had a slightly easier time with the fight scenes, thanks to his role in spy franchise ‘Kingsman’, but he still got accidentally hit on a few occasions.
He said: “There’s quite a lot of hand-to-hand combat in the film.
“It’s something I’ve done a lot of with ‘Kingsman’. It’s essentially choreography, the trick is making it edgy and like it’s the first time you’ve done it – that involves a lot of rehearsal beforehand to make sure you can do it safely and also make it look real. I’ve been hit in the face many times.”

Paul Weller: I’m a better person sober

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Weller thinks he’s a “better person” for giving up alcohol.
The ‘Changingman’ singer quit booze eight years ago and though he had a “great time” when he was getting drunk, he found it made him feel more depressed and he doesn’t miss feeling hungover the day after a heavy night.
He said: “I miss the chaos sometimes. That moment of madness where you’re all off your f***ing nut and everything is brilliant and a laugh.
“But not enough to make me want to go back to it.
“I’m a better person for it. I used to get such bad depression, genuine depression.
“I can see now how booze was making that worse.
“I had 35 years of it so I can’t complain, but I don’t miss it. I do not miss those hangovers.”
And the 60-year-old star thinks his drinking had a negative effect on his music.
He said: “If I’m really honest, I spent most of the 10 years prior to [2008 album] ’22 Dreams’ drunk.
“I had a great time.
“I made a bit of music in between but I don’t think of it as a sort of inspired time.
“And there were some rubbish records around that time I made as well.”
After turning 60, Paul admits he’s grown more reflective and is trying to “savour” every day.
He said: “I got to 60 and thought, ‘F**k that’s gone quick.’
“My 20s seemed to f***ing last forever.
“I was like, ‘When is this going to be over?’ But now every year goes flashing before my eyes.
“Out of that, I’ve learnt to try and savour life as much as I can and appreciate that.”

Duchess Meghan’s father blasts Prince Harry

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Meghan’s father has lashed out at Prince Harry.
Meghan has been estranged from her dad Thomas Markle ever since he colluded with paparazzi photographers to stage pictures of himself before her wedding to Prince Harry, 34, in May but Thomas says Harry has behaved badly in the past and he has begged Meghan, 37, to get in touch.
He told the Mail On Sunday: “I’ve pleaded with her to pick up the phone. I wrote her a two-page letter and sent it by certified mail via her representative in Los Angeles. I asked her why she was believing the lies. I also pointed out the Royals haven’t always been perfectly behaved. I wrote that I’ve never played pool naked, nor have I dressed up as a Nazi. [references to Harry’s Las Vegas antics in 2012 and when he wore an imitation of a Nazi uniform in 2005]. I even hand-delivered a letter to [Meghan’s mother] Doria asking her why our daughter won’t speak to me.”
Thomas, 74, also revealed that Harry lambasted him on the phone after it was revealed that his paparazzi photographs were staged.
He said: “I said sorry to Harry on the phone and all he said was, ‘If you’d listened to me, none of this would have happened’. I did a few things wrong, said a few things I should not have said. But some of the Royals have done far worse things… There are convicts in prisons who have murdered and committed all kinds of horrible crimes, and their daughters still visit them.”
Thomas still hopes he can reconcile with his daughter, who is currently pregnant with her first child.
He said: “Meghan and I never had any problems before this. If she would just speak to me, things could be different. I love Meghan very much. I want her and Harry to have a beautiful, healthy baby and a great life. But I want them to stop believing the lies.”

Gabrielle Union’s husband convinced her to quit IVF

OHMYGOSSIP — Gabrielle Union’s husband Dwayne Wade convinced her to give up on IVF.
The 46-year-old actress and her basketball star husband Dwyane, 36, welcomed their daughter Kaavia via a surrogate in November and Gabrielle revealed that
Speaking about undergoing IVF, Gabrielle – who had eight miscarriages – said: “I could not let go of this idea of creating this life within me, and felt the need to be pregnant for everybody, including myself.”
However, after seeing the toll the IVF and miscarriages were taking on his wife, Dwayne stepped in and urged her to consider other options.
Speaking to Oprah Winfrey on a special on her network OWN, he said: “I’m watching her do things to her body and to herself that it’s getting to the point where it’s not healthy.’
“And as I always told her: ‘I want this baby just as much as you do, but I married you, and you are the most important thing to me.’
“So it came to a point where, you know, I started to feel a certain way about that because I didn’t want something to happen to her.
“When doctors floated the possibility of a operation, I had to step in and say: ‘Baby, it’s me and you, you know? I wanna grow old with you. And, you know, I want this – I want our miracle baby, but I want you.'”
Dwayne took paternity leave after Kaavia was born as it was important to him that he bonded with his baby daughter straight away.
He explained: “For me and for my wife and our family, our journey was just totally different. Having a surrogate carry our baby, I wasn’t there to be able to be like [leaning down to the belly]: ‘Hey, baby, daddy’s here.’ You know, to have these conversations, so she can hear me, right, so we can sing to her, so we can read to her. So this connection that we both needed, it had to happen right away.
“They expect my wife to take off, right? Why not expect me to take off as well? We’re parents and we’re doing this together.”

Taron Egerton and Kirsty Gallacher get flirty in London

OHMYGOSSIP — Taron Egerton and Kirsty Gallacher enjoyed a flirty night out in London on Friday (07.12.18).
The ‘Rocketman’ actor, 29, and the 42-year-old TV presenter spent the evening at a party in the English capital and were spotted leaving in a taxi together at 4am.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Kirsty seemed very taken with him. They were inseparable during the party and left together.”
Kirsty divorced rugby player Paul Sampson in 2014, while Taron split from girlfriend Emily Thomas last month.
He revealed that he decided to shave his head following the split and found it “cathartic”.
He said: “I found it quite liberating because I just finished the Elton John movie and had this awful hair. So, I shaved my hair cos they had thinned it right out and given me this bald patch.
“It was very cathartic and also, not to put a downer on things, I split up with my girlfriend not long ago and it weirdly felt a bit like reinvention… to sort of change the way I look.”
However, he claimed that he was wary about dating again in the wake of the #MeToo movement.
He said: “Like a lot of people with a profile I was like, “Holy s**t, what have I done since I was 18?”
“I have just become single again and I’m not in a place where I’m thinking about dating, but when I am, it will probably affect my thinking a bit. There are certainly situations where I avoid being alone with certain people.”

Rosamund Pike praised for war correspondent portrayal

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosamund Pike “inherited Marie Colvin’s body and spirit” in new movie ‘A Private War’.
The 39-year-old actress plays the lead role in the drama – based on the life of celebrated war correspondent Marie Colvin – and war photographer Paul Conroy, who worked with Colvin for many years, has praised the actress for her portrayal.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “Every step, look and gesture she made brought back, in cascading waves of familiarity, the Marie I had known and shared battlefields and bars with over the years.
“Still reeling from the shock of the physical transformation of Rosamund, I was handed a pair of headphones by a producer and stood, transfixed, in front of a monitor and prepared to watch the dialogue scene. What happened next will stay with me forever. Rosamund was gone, transformed into someone I had known and loved for many years and my reaction was intensely physical, the hairs on my arms and neck rose, the tears welled in my eyes. Every note in her gravelly voice, the cadence, the rhythm of her American drawl, brought Marie back to me in ways too intangible for mere words to describe.
“Rosamund inherited Marie’s body and spirit, catching her ever so human traits of frailty and self-doubt, her ruthless determination to bear witness and act as a conduit for the voiceless, to a world often unprepared to listen.”
Paul – who spent time on the set of the Matthew Heineman-directed movie – also praised Jamie Dornan for his “wonderful” portrayal of him.
He said: “Over the next two months of shooting Rosamund, and actor Jamie Dornan, who played my character (wonderfully I must add), offered me snapshots of our lives from a perspective rarely granted to many.”

Lindsey Buckingham and Fleetwood Mac settle lawsuit

OHMYGOSSIP — Lindsey Buckingham and Fleetwood Mac have settled their lawsuit over his dismissal from the band.
The guitarist was sacked from the group in January and filed a lawsuit in October alleging breach of fiduciary duty and breach of oral contract but he has now revealed that they have settled the legal matter.
Speaking in an interview with ‘CBS This Morning’, he said: “We’ve all signed off on something. I’m happy enough with it. I’m not out there trying to twist the knife at all. I’m trying to look at this with some level of compassion, some level of wisdom.”
He also admitted that he has not spoken to any of his former bandmates – Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, and Stevie Nicks – since he was sacked but said that Christine recently reached out to him.
He said: “I have had, only in the last couple of weeks, I have gotten an email, which I expected to get, from Christine McVie. She wrote me an email and basically said, ‘Dearest Lindsey, just know that I had nothing to do with any of this. Know that I miss you so much.’ She said, ‘I believe deep in Stevie’s heart that she would like you to come home.'”
The ‘Chain’ group enlisted Crowded House’s Neil Finn and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell to replace Lindsey on their upcoming tour.
Fleetwood Mac previously stopped short of saying Lindsey was fired but admitted they “hit a brick wall” with him that wouldn’t allow the band to “go forward” if he stayed.
Mick said: “Words like ‘fired’ are ugly references as far as I’m concerned.
“Not to hedge around, but we arrived at the impasse of hitting a brick wall.
“This was not a happy situation for us in terms of the logistics of a functioning band. To that purpose, we made a decision that we could not go on with him.
“Majority rules in term of what we need to do as a band and go forward.”

Dani Dyer blasts Jack Fincham

OHMYGOSSIP — Dani Dyer has blasted Jack Fincham for publicly discussing their sex life.
The ‘Love Island’ winners recently called time on their romance after six months of dating but Dani hinted at turmoil in their relationship when she slammed Jack in an interview conducted before their split.
Speaking about Jack’s confession that their sex life had been disappointing at first, she told The Mail On Sunday’s YOU Magazine: “He was talking sh*t. People seem to want to know what we are getting up to of a night-time but this is our life, not some sort of sex-education class.”
Dani, 22, also revealed she refused to have sex with Jack on the ITV2 show because she wanted to be able to “look his nan in the eye”.
She said: “I wanted to be able to look Jack’s nan in the eye afterwards and know he could look my nan in the eye, too,.”
And Dani admitted things have been tough since the pair left the show and moved in together in London.
She said: “Imagine if your mate moved in with someone after dating for five months. You’d say, ‘Are you insane?’ but I feel like we’ve been together for years. People said ‘Love Island’ was testing, but it was a bubble. Coming out, that was the real test.”
Dani announced the split last week with a message on her Instagram.
She wrote: “Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways. It’s been an incredible six months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but we’ve sadly come to the realisation that it’s not meant to be long term. We both plan to stay friends. I hope you’ll all understand. Love Dani x.”
And a source later told The Sun newspaper that their “incredibly busy” schedules proved too much for either of them to keep up the romance.
They said: “When they left the villa they really thought they would stay together forever, but reality soon set in and things started to get strained.
“They came out to a whirlwind of publicity and after a while, things started to get to them and the cracks appeared.
“They are both incredibly busy and they have decided to call time on their romance.”
