Julia Louis-Dreyfus refused ‘dark’ thoughts during cancer battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Louis-Dreyfus refused to let herself think “dark” thoughts during her cancer battle.
The ‘Veep’ star revealed in September last year that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, and although she admits she was “terrified” of what the outcome could be, she never “let” herself think about the possibility of her not beating the disease.
When asked by The New Yorker if she ever gave in to “fear” of “self-pity” during her fight against cancer, Julia – who is now in remission – said: “‘Am I gonna be dead tomorrow’ kind of thing? I didn’t let myself go there. Don’t misunderstand: I was to-my-bones terrified. But I didn’t let myself – except for a couple of moments – go to a really dark place. I didn’t allow it.
“You know if you get on a horse and you have really tight reins and the horse is galloping? I felt like I had really tight reins on myself. That’s what it felt like: I was just holding on tight. I’ve had a really rough year, blah, blah, blah – you know, we’re getting through it.”
Previously, the 57-year-old actress claimed she originally wanted her cancer battle to remain private, but because work on ‘Veep’ would have to be halted while she sought treatment, she went public with the news and decided to try and take a light-hearted approach to tackling the disease.
Julia – who kept fans updated with her treatments on social media – said: “Originally, I’ll be honest with you, something like this journey I’d been on, I normally wouldn’t share such a private thing publicly
“[However], I knew it would get out there because I knew we had to shut down production for a number of months in order to accommodate my situation.
“So then I thought, ‘Well, I’m just going to embrace this and attack it and try to do it with a sense of humour. I was really pleased with the reaction.”
The star had her final chemotherapy session in January, and returned back to the set of the political comedy earlier this year.

Charlie Sheen is one year sober

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Sheen is one year sober.
The 53-year-old actor took to Twitter on Tuesday (11.12.18) to reveal he has been awarded his one-year sobriety medallion – which is often handed out by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) recovery programs to celebrate passing the milestone – and said he is “totally focused” on staying away from addictive substances.
Posting a picture of the medallion, the ‘Platoon’ star wrote: so, THIS happened yesterday! a fabulous moment, in my renewed journey. #TotallyFocused (sic)”
The black coin features the words “To thine own self be true”, alongside a triangle which reads “Unity, Service, Recovery”. The triangle has a circle inside it which features the letter I, which is the roman numeral for one.
Charlie has famously battled with addiction for several years, and was previously sober for 11 years before turning back to old habits as a coping mechanism when he was diagnosed as HIV positive in 2011.
Earlier this year, the ‘Two and a Half Men’ star – who publicly revealed his HIV diagnoses in November 2015 – requested to have his child support payments reduced after claiming he was in a “dire financial crisis”.
Charlie pays $55,000 a month to ex-wife Brooke Mueller to support their twin sons Bob and Max, nine, and another $20,000 a month for his daughters Sam, 14, and Lola, 13, whom he has with former spouse Denise Richards.
And despite once being the highest paid star on TV when he received $1.8 million per episode of ‘Two and a Half Men’, he now claims to only make $2,426 a month.
He said in court documents: “I have been unable to find steady work, and have been blacklisted from many aspects of the entertainment industry.”

Seth MacFarlane thinks it’s hard to find Oscars host

OHMYGOSSIP — Seth MacFarlane thinks it will be “tough” finding a new host for the Oscars.
The ‘Family Guy’ star – who fronted the Academy Awards in 2013 – admitted the format for awards ceremonies has got “dusty” and dated and the anchoring role comes with a lot of pressure and scrutiny, so he expects it will take some time to find a replacement after Kevin Hart recently pulled out of the job.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “Look, it’s a gig that has all eyes on it. And when you’re doing something that’s that much in the spotlight, with that much focus on it, that much intensity, you’re going to have a lot of opinions from a lot of people. I’m trying to think of the last time that I read a review of the Oscars the next day where everyone is raving about it–it’s been a long time.
“The thing about award shows in general is, it’s kind of a dusty format. It’s a format that’s about as current as the 1950s variety show format. There’s always an effort to make it interesting and exciting to viewers who are used to a very different entertainment landscape in the modern era, and it’s often times fitting a square peg in a round hole. So it’s not an easy job, and I’m not surprised that they have a tough time finding takers.”
However, the -year-old star did enjoy his stint as host.
He added: “It’s fun! It’s a fun gig. I’ll tell you that much.”
Kevin stepped down as host after past homophobic tweets he’d posted emerged and said he didn’t want to be a “distraction”.
He tweeted: “I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year’s Oscar’s….this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists. I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past.
“I’m sorry that I hurt people.. I am evolving and want to continue to do so. My goal is to bring people together not tear us apart. Much love & appreciation to the Academy. I hope we can meet again. (sic)”

Saoirse Ronan felt ‘very comfortable’ during sex scenes with Jack Lowden

OHMYGOSSIP — Saoirse Ronan felt “very comfortable” performing sex scenes with rumoured boyfriend Jack Lowden.
The 24-year-old actress is said to have struck up a romance with her ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ co-star and her titular character’s on-screen lover (Henry Darnley) during filming for the historical movie, and has admitted it was a more of an “intimate” affair compared to her sex scenes in ‘Lady Bird’ and ‘Brooklyn’, as it was “choreographed” like a dance routine.
Speaking to Refinery29, she said: “We choreographed the whole thing so it felt like a dance.
“Jack and I are very comfortable with each other. We looked after each other.”
Saoirse says it was less “mechanical” as the focus was on her face and felt like “new territory for both of them.
She explained: “I don’t think he’d ever done anything like that before either. It was new territory for both of us.
“I know, I’d never done anything like that before.
“I’d done sex scenes but they’re so mechanical that they’re kind of easy to do. Whereas when it’s on your face like that…
“I just kept thinking about, what was it, When Harry Met Sally. But we had Wayne (McGregor, the film’s choreographer) in there, which was brilliant.”
The ‘Atonement’ star says the sex scene was vital to the story as sexuality was “fluid” in that period in history and it was also a “very important” moment in the young Queen’s life.
She said: “They lived in a time when sexuality and sex was quite a fluid thing. Sex was a separate thing from marriage.
“As a queen, though, sex was performed in order to produce an heir.
“What was so great about having that moment when Henry (Jack) goes down on her is that it’s purely for her.
“That’s a sexual revelation purely for her.
“It’s not to perform her duty, it’s not to give anything back to anyone else or to the state.
“It’s for her. It was so important to see this young girl experience this pleasure, probably for the first time, and have that be a real sort of revelation.
“It was just another element to her humanity.”
Though Saoirse and Jack are believed to have started dating on set, others working on the movie had no idea they were together until a screening of the movie in New York last week.
A source said at the time: “We don’t know when they got together, we only found out on Tuesday night when they rolled up together – but they seem very happy and sweet.”
After the screening, the pair looked very close at the afterparty at Tavern on the Green.
An insider observed: “Jack was following her all over. He even followed her to the bathroom and was waiting outside for her. They were very close.”
Saoirse was previously believed to be dating the ‘Dunkirk’ actor’s brother Calum, a ballet dancer, after they met at the BAFTAs earlier this year, but she has been increasingly spotted with Jack in recent months, including on a vacation to the Dominican Republic.

OHMYGOSSIP — Leah Remini knows Alex Rodriguez is the one for Jennifer Lopez.
The ‘Second Act’ co-stars have been close friends for almost 10 years, and the 48-year-old actress has revealed what it was that made her give the seal of approval for J-Lo’s relationship with the former basketball player.
Speaking to E! News, she simply said: “I think it’s about seeing your friend happy, and that’s when you know.”
Jennifer, 49, agreed with the sentiment, and said she has felt the same way seeing her pal with husband Angelo Pagán, who she married in 2003.
She added: “You just want your bestie to be happy and fulfilled and in a good place and that’s why I love seeing [Leah] with Angelo.
“You just know that that’s their person. That’s her ride or die. That’s who makes her happy. That’s who makes her thrive.”
While Jennifer has 10-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex husband Marc Anthony, Leah and Angelo have 14-year-old daughter Sofia and the BFFs have loved seeing each other embrace family life.
J-Lo added: “What we are most excited for and celebrate is our families. That is something that has grown over our friendship. I had babies after her but she was pregnant with Sofia when I met her so those big moments.”
Meanwhile, the star recently addressed wedding rumours, and admitted her fans want the “fairy tale” ending for her.
She said: “Everyone wants a fairy tale. They all want a romantic comedy, a happy ending. We all do. But it’s not a movie, even if you see us on Instagram or on the shows.”
And although the couple aren’t engaged yet, they’re taking their romance “day-by-day” and are enjoying every minute together.
She added: “We’re happy. We’re taking it day-by-day. And it’s great.”

Jeff Pinker: Venom sequel could feature Spider-Man

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Venom’ sequel could feature Spider-Man.
The Sony superhero movie – which featured Tom Hardy in the lead role of Eddie Brock and his symbiotic alter-ego – was a huge hit at the box office and the movie’s screenwriter Jeff Pinker has teased that not only is another instalment on the cards, but that’s it’s possible it could feature a familiar face from the Marvel world.
Speaking to Discussing Film, he teased: “Without revealing anything that I’m not allowed to reveal, it is not impossible that in a future/upcoming ‘Venom’ movie, Spider-Man will play a significant role … I think it’s fair to say that everyone involved would be very excited by a Spider-Man/Venom movie.”
According to sources, the film’s performance has already cemented plans for a sequel, which could feature Woody Harrelson as the comic book character Carnage, after it was teased in the movie’s mid-credit sequence.
Sony have yet to officially announce plans for a ‘Venom’ sequel, but Hardy recently revealed he’d love to be a part of a franchise for “several years”.
Speaking before the movie had hit cinema screens, he said: “We went into this hoping to build it, and I went into it hoping to do something for the next several years and I can invest myself in.
“But we have to launch it and see how people feel about it, and if they don’t like it, we’ll see, but I don’t think they will. I have a really good feeling about it. I know the whole team has poured a lot of love into it, and I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve left a lot of stuff out there and I did a lot of improvisation in it that will never make it to the movie.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Christian Bale thinks Donald Trump thought he was Bruce Wayne.
The ‘Dark Knight Rises’ star – who also played the Caped Crusader in ‘Batman Begins’ and ‘The Dark Knight’ – shot scenes for the sequel at Trump Tower back in 2011, and he has revealed his “entertaining” meeting with the current US president while quipping he thinks he mistook him for the superhero’s billionaire alter ego.
Speaking to Variety, he joked: “I met him, one time. We were filming on ‘Batman’ in Trump Tower and he said, come on up to the office.
“I think he thought I was Bruce Wayne, because I was dressed as Bruce Wayne. So he talked to me like I was Bruce Wayne and I just went along with it, really. It was quite entertaining. I had no idea at the time that he would think about running for president.”
Bale is taking on the role of former vice president Dick Cheney in new political comedy drama ‘Vice’, and he also opened up about his weight gain for the role.
The 44-year-old actor has drastically altered his appearance for movies in the past, including losing 63 lbs for 2004’s ‘The Machinist’ and then gaining 100 lbs back within six months for his first big screen appearance as Batman.
However, this time he decided to see a “nutritionist” because he is becoming aware of his own “mortality”.
He explained: “This is the first time I actually did go to a nutritionist cause I’m starting to feel my mortality.
“I did decide, ‘You know what, I might die, so maybe I should go to see someone who actually knows what they’re talking about instead of just winging it,’ which is what I’ve always done.”

Ariana Grande confirms new single

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande will release a “very special” new single on Thursday (13.12.18).
The 25-year-old star surprised fans on Tuesday when she revealed to her Twitter followers she will drop her latest track ‘Imagine’ this week, and she described it as “very very special” to her.
After confirming it will be unveiled on “Thursday night”, fans began to speculate what the song will mean lyrically and how it plans into the end of a relationship.
She added: “Kind of like… pretending it never ended. denial. but i look forward to you hearing it and having your own experience with it.
“You may take away something totally different and specific to your life! love u. (sic)”
The track will feature on ‘thank u, next’ – Ariana’s highly anticipated follow-up to ‘Sweetener’ – and Ariana also opened up about how honest she will be on the new material.
She admitted: “Terrifyingly so. like i want to take things off. but my friends tell me not to. (sic)”
Meanwhile, the star also recently opened up about the title track from her upcoming record, and admitted she dropped it as a surprise because she was inspired by the release model used in hip hop.
She explained: “My dream has always been to be — obviously not a rapper, but, like, to put out music in the way that a rapper does.
“I feel like there are certain standards that pop women are held to that men aren’t. We have to do the teaser before the single, then do the single, and wait to do the preorder, and radio has to impact before the video, and we have to do the discount on this day, and all this s**t.
“It’s just like, ‘Bruh, I just want to f***ing talk to my fans and sing and write music and drop it the way these boys do. Why do they get to make records like that and I don’t?’ So I do and I did and I am, and I will continue to.”

Dec Donnelly: BGT will be back to normal

OHMYGOSSIP — Dec Donnelly says ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ will be “back to normal” when Ant McPartlin returns.
It was reported this week that the TV duo will be reunited for the ITV reality show when auditions start next month after Ant took time off from work commitments following a drink-driving conviction earlier this year and a stint in rehab.
Speaking to the Mirror, Dec said: “It’s back to normal for BGT – fingers crossed it will be great.”
His comment come after reports he would be back with his presenting partner for the upcoming series of the talent show.
A source recently said: “Ant has completed his recovery and ITV has decided he is ready to be back at work for Britain’s Got Talent filming, which starts next month.
“It’s been an incredible difficult two-year period but he has been entirely focused on turning his life around in order to return to work.
“ITV is very excited about Ant and Dec being reunited – but Ant’s recovery has been everyone’s first priority.”
While next year’s series of ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ – will be off air until 2019, Ant is still expected to return to ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ after Holly Willoughby stepped in for him for the recent run.
At the ITV show’s after party, Dec added to the MIrror: “here is nobody I would have preferred to stood next to.
“We were thrilled with the ratings, they are absolutely great. Holly has been fantastic too, just brilliant. She was the one I wanted and I am thrilled she did it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Simons joked that she’d “eaten Brisbane” after losing a stone in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ jungle.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star was limited to mainly rice and beans in the camp, but she soon made up for it by scoffing everything in sight as she enjoyed a luxury stay in the Australian city before heading home.
Before flying back to the UK on Tuesday (11.12.18), she tweeted: “I lost a stone in the jungle. I am making up for it. I think I have eaten Brisbane.”
The actress also shared a picture of her campmates – including Harry Redknapp and his wife Sandra, Fleur East, Emily Atack, John Barrowman, Nick Knowles and Noel Edmonds – and their family members on the micro-blogging site and admitted it was a very “tight” group.
She captioned the snap: “FAAAAAAAMLY. All our families who became just as tight as we were. Oh guys there’s so much love I think I’m gonna puke (sic)”
Rita stayed awake for 24 hours following her exit last week after downing “about 68 coffees” and eating “everything”.
The 41-year-old star didn’t manage to get any shut-eye in during the first day she was out of camp, because she suffered from “bad acid indigestion” after chowing down on too much grub, and necking cups of coffee.
She said: “I would like to confess that I have not been to sleep at all.
“I wasn’t out, I was on a coffee high. I came out [of the jungle] and I had about 68 coffees.
“And I was doing all my press like that [shakes her hands].
“Then by the time I got to bed I had such bad acid indigestion because I’d eaten everything in the world, I just laid in bed like, ‘Urghh.'”
Following her ‘I’m A Celebrity’ exit, Rita found it difficult to wash the camp fire smoke out of her hair.
She said: “I had a club sandwich, which I shoved in my face so quickly there wasn’t time to breathe.
“Then I got in the shower and scrubbed my entire body twice – and hair twice.
“I got out of the shower and my hair still stank of campfire smoke, and it still does a little bit now.
“Then I ate some more and some more and some more and some more and I haven’t stopped eating since.”
Harry Redknapp was crowned King of the Jungle 2018.

50 Cent plays cupid for Cardi B and Offset

OHMYGOSSIP — 50 Cent has urged Cardi B and Offset to get back together.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker revealed last week she’d split from the Migos rapper – with whom she has daughter Kulture, five months – after just over a year of marriage but the ‘Candy Shop’ rapper has now urged her to “go home”.
Cardi posted on her Instagram account on Monday (10.12.18) about her ‘Money’ video being released soon, and 50 added a comment to the post with his advice.
He wrote: “That’s a cute outfit but you gotta go home. That boy love you girl.”
And the 43-year-old star’s advice didn’t stop there as he also visited Offset’s page to leave him a suggestion of how to win back Cardi.
He wrote: “Go get her man. I don’t give a f**k what she say just kiss her ass man.(sic)”
It was recently claimed Cardi feels “very torn” about her future.
A source said recently: “They haven’t been spending time together and Cardi expressed she still wants her space. She is very busy right now with her work and is focused solely on Kulture.”
The 26-year-old rapper “still loves” Offset and “wants her family to be whole again”.
However, Cardi doesn’t want to co-parent Kulture, but she’s undecided about whether her relationship with Offset is sustainable in the long run.
The source explained: “She is very torn and is trying to stay focused on business matters right now.
“She doesn’t want to have to co-parent Kulture, but isn’t quite sure if they can make their relationship work.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Davidson has been spotted on a date with a mystery brunette.
The 25-year-old comedian – who was previously engaged to Ariana Grande – has been seen out on a date with an unknown woman at Carbone restaurant in New York City.
Pete – who was seen sporting a black hoodie – was sat across from his date and the duo appeared to be deep in conversation when an onlooker took a photograph of them at the Italian restaurant on Monday evening (10.12.18).
The ‘Saturday Night Live’ star split from Ariana in October, having got engaged to her in June after just a few weeks of dating.
But Pete has recently re-entered the dating scene and his night out with the mystery brunette is thought to be one of his first dates since his heartbreaking split from the pop star, according to TMZ.
Meanwhile, an insider previously claimed that Ariana was the one who “made the final decision” to end their romance.
In fact, it was claimed that Pete was “still in love” with the singer at the time of their break-up.
The source previously said: “It was time to realise this wasn’t the right time for them and Pete is incredibly heartbroken.
“Pete is still so in love with her. He wanted his whole world to revolve around her but she was emotionally unavailable.”
The insider also claimed that the ‘Thank U, Next’ hitmaker was eager to find some “peace of mind”.
The source explained: “[Pete] realises she was at her limit with pressure from everyone and everything around her.

Tom Watt ‘returning to EastEnders’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Watt and Linda Davidson are to return to ‘EastEnders’.
The 62-year-old actor, who played George “Lofty” Holloway on the BBC One soap, and the 54-year-old star, who portrayed Mary Smith – known affectionately as “Mary the Punk” – will head back to Walford in 2019 for the first time since their 1988 departures.
A source said: “Lofty and Mary The Punk are two of the most memorable characters of the original set of stars.
“It’s staggering to think it’s been more than 30 years since they were last on the Square but soap fans will be delighted to hear of their comeback.”
Lofty and Mary will be back in Walford for the funeral of legendary character Doctor Harold Legg (Leonard Fenton), who is expected to pass away in February next year.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “Regular viewers will know Doctor Legg’s health is bad and it’s thought his death will play out in February next year, and these two will be back around the time of his funeral.”
Leonard reprised his role as Harold in October and the doctor is one of the soap’s original characters, appearing in the first episode on February 19 1985, while Tom made his ‘EastEnders’ debut on the third ep, and Mary rocked up in Walford a month later.
Lofty departed Walford in 1988 after his marriage to Michelle Fowler (Susan Tully) broke down, and the former Queen Vic barman embarked on a new career as a social worker.
Tom also had a change in career, becoming a sports journalist and presenting on talkSPORT and Radio 5 Live.
Mary was the original Walford wild child, a punk rocker who turned to drugs which led to difficulties bringing up her child.
Linda went on to star in ‘First of the Summer Wine’ after departing ‘EastEnders’, but she stopped performing in the late 90s and forged a career in digital media for the BBC and also Channel 4, among other organisations.

OHMYGOSSIP — Beverley Callard has hinted Liz and Jim McDonald could reconcile.
The 61-year-old actress admits her alter-ego Liz is unlikely to ever forgive bad boy Jim – who is played by Charlie Lawson – after he pretended their dead daughter Katie was alive in an attempt to steal her money, but Bev says Jim may find a way of getting the cash back to Liz so they can reunite.
She said: “I don’t know how Liz could forgive what he did, but there is this chemistry there.
“Maybe he will somehow get the money to give back to her, and then it will begin again.
“Liz loves the fact Jim is hot-headed. He acts with his fists and pays the price afterwards.”
Before Jim turned up in Weatherfield again, Liz slept with Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley), who cheated on his wife Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), but she regrets their infidelity and would prefer to hook up with Jim again.
He added: “I think she would prefer that to someone who is a little bit sly and manipulative, and I think she’s lost respect for Johnny in that way.
“Liz and Johnny slept together once, and after that she knew it was a mistake.”
But Liz will be left “horrified” when Jenny wreaks some revenge upon her by signing the barmaid up to an escort agency, and she returns home to find a hunk waiting for her.
Beverley added to heat magazine: “When I read those scripts I thought, ‘Why on earth would they think that?’
“Liz gets this weird text and she just thinks it’s someone she knows.
“So, she goes home and this guy is there – and he’s quite young and fit. I was thinking I’d say yes, actually.
“But she’s horrified and, at first, just thinks it’s some kind of joke.
“Then, once she talks to him and he verges on the aggressive side, she’s really upset.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Julian Fellowes received “hate letters” after killing off ‘Downton Abbey’ characters.
The 69-year-old showrunner tried to explain to fans that Lady Sybil Crawley and Matthew Crawley died on the show because actors Jessica Brown Findlay and Dan Stevens wanted to move on to new projects, but there were still some viewers who couldn’t separate fact from fiction and took the losses personally.
And Lady Carnavon, who owns Highclare Castle where the show was filmed, even received letters of condolence following their on-screen passing.
She revealed on her blog: “When Sibyl and later Matthew died, Geordie and I received quite a few extremely delicate and utterly lovely letters of condolence on ‘our sad loss’.
!These really did leave me stumped as to how to reply as the sentiment behind them was genuine and well-meant and I definitely did not wish to upset or hurt anyone with a tactless reply.
“However, Julian Fellowes, the author of ‘Downton Abbey’, said I was the lucky one as he got hate letters about the deaths and, however much he tried to explain that the plot lines had led from the actors’ desire to move on to other roles, rather than his desire to upset the viewers, the line between fact and fiction had become very unclear.”
Lady Carnavon also recalled how a perplexed tourist couldn’t understand why she didn’t recognise any “characters” in the pictures on the walls of the castle when she undertook a tour and was furious that she was unable to meet Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville).
She wrote: “On another occasion one of our guides told me about a guest who rather firmly wanted to know where Lord Grantham was as, if at all possible, she would like to meet him.
“She had looked at the photographs on display in the North library, seen a whole load of unknown characters (my family and myself) and wanted to see the people she ‘knew’.
“The guide politely explained that Lord G was, in fact, only a fictional character in a television series and that the photographs were of the real family who lived in the Castle. The discussion continued for some time until, in the end, the visitor, exasperated, said to the guide, ‘Oh really, you are such a fool!’ as she stalked away to continue her tour.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Redknapp’s wife “hates” being in the spotlight.
The 71-year-old football manager was crowned King of the Jungle on Sunday (09.12.18) after delighting ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ viewers with his tales of marital bliss to spouse Sandra, who he met when they were both 17, but she’s not enjoying the attention and definitely doesn’t want to capitalise on her new-found fame.
Asked if he’d like them to become the new Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan, he told The Sun newspaper: “I don’t know about that. She likes everything quiet, it’s really not her style. She hates that this has all happened really.
“She’s happy being at home.
“She likes going out for dinner just the two of us, with the grandkids and the dogs.
“She don’t want the publicity — but she’s stuck with it now.”
In 2016, Harry accidentally ran Sandra over when her coat got trapped in the car door and though he felt like a “stupid idiot” and described the incident as the “worst experience” of his life, his wife never tried to make him feel guilty.
He said: “It was the worst experience of my life but she honestly never even blamed me — and it was completely my fault.
“I wasn’t concentrating, I thought she’d crossed the road and then I pulled into the road and she was backed up against my car.
“She never said to me, ‘You should have watched what you were doing’ or made me feel bad. Even when she was laying with a broken ankle in the road she was just unbelievable, she didn’t scream…
“In hospital I kept apologising. But she just said, ‘You thought I’d crossed the road, there’s no blame’.
“She didn’t say, ‘You stupid idiot’, even though I felt like a stupid idiot.”
