OHMYGOSSIP — Nina Dobrev suffered an existential crisis after leaving ‘Vampire Diaries’.
The 29-year-old actress has admitted she was left soul-searching after she walked away from the high-profile role on the supernatural drama series.
She confessed: “I was like, ‘Why am I here? What am I doing? Is it making me happy? What can I do to make me happier?'”
Nina subsequently decided to challenge herself on a professional level, taking herself away from her comfort zone as an actress.
Earlier this year, she was cast in the role of Clem in the sitcom ‘Fam’.
Speaking about her latest on-screen role, she told Women’s Health magazine: “The live-audience aspect scared me, so naturally, I had to do it.”
As well as seeking to test herself professionally, Nina is also obsessive about her fitness regime.
The brunette beauty admitted she loves the challenge of staying in shape and eating healthily.
She said: “I’m getting older and more conscious of what I eat and how I eat it and what I do.
“Doing something different [each day] has been the most fun, and I’ve seen the most benefit because you shock your system.”
Nina revealed exercise has become a key element of her daily routine.
However, she also admitted her motivation levels in the gym can vary dramatically.
The actress – who starred alongside Vin Diesel in ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’ in 2017 – explained: “I need to sweat every single day somehow, even if it’s just in the steam room. Some days are better than others, I’ll be honest with you.
“Some days, [her dog] Maverick gets a shorter walk than she probably deserves, if I’m running late or don’t have it together or press the snooze button 18 times too many.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Sheen and Aisling Bea have seemingly confirmed they are dating after the Irish comedian posted a photo of them together on her Instagram account.
The 49-year-old actor has been rumoured to be in a relationship with the 34-year-old comic ever since April 2018 when they were spotted getting close to one another at the Olivier Awards in London.
Now, Aisling has uploaded a photo of the pair with a Help Refugees employee at an event for the charity held at its New York pop-up.
They posed in matching long sleeved T-shirts emblazoned with the words ‘Choose Love’ and Aisling used her caption to talk about why the organisation’s work is so important.
The post read: “Today Michael of Wales & I went to visit the @helprefugeesuk store in New York – the sister pop up to the London one off Carnaby street. Today’s #aislingrecommendsecoorsociallyconsciousbrandseverydayuntilxmas is close to my heart as I’ve seen the amazing work these guys do first hand with the @theguiltyfeminist ‘s trip to Calais. Michael and Aisling first met in 2014 whilst filming scenes for TV drama ‘Master of Sex’.
Welsh star Michael previously was in a relationship with actress Kate Beckinsale – with whom he has 19-year-old daughter Lily with – for eight years but they split in 2003, and he went on to romance comedienne Sarah Silverman in 2014, but they split in 2017.

Harry Redknapp to make panto debut?

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Redknapp looks set to make his panto debut alongside fellow ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ star Rita Simons.
The 71-year-old former football manager may be supporting the 41-year-old actress – who is currently playing Carbosse in ‘Sleeping Beauty’ at the Bournemouth Pavilion – after she hinted the ex-Spurs boss might make a cameo in her festive show.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “I spoke to Harry and he’s going to be coming to the theatre every morning to bring me coffee and he may also be doing a little cameo in the show.
“My producer is very happy for him to do it if he wants to. Harry wants to do it.”
The King of the Jungle said: “I am ready for the walk-on part.
“I don’t know what it’s going to be but it’s Christmas and you have got to give people a laugh.”
After the soap star was voted out of the jungle, the former West Ham United manager promised he would bring her food and drink while she was performing in the pantomime in Bournemouth, near where he lives in Sandbanks.
He said: “I love Rita but I’ll be seeing plenty of her when I get out because she’s down in Bournemouth doing her pantomime, so I shall pop up in the morning and take her a cup of coffee and a couple of jam donuts.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Gibney says family rows get left behind for ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’.
The actress – who plays Cathy Brown in the sitcom – is married to the show’s creator Brendan O’Carroll, and while the programme is a real family affair, it has a way of helping them get over any disagreements.
Appearing with Brendan on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, she said: “Even doing the live show, there’s something magical about the show.
“It doesn’t matter, you could be shouting at each other as you walk through the door, and then as soon as you get on stage, it’s never, ever brought on stage. And by the time you’ve finished, you’ve forgotten what you were arguing about.”
Everyone gets together for the show’s annual Christmas special, and Brendan – who writes the show and plays matriarch Agnes Brown – revealed their grandchildren would be getting a role this time.
Opening up on the offspring, he said: “There’s Eli, who’s gonna be the next comedian. There’s Jamie, who’s going to be a genius, and Felix who’s going to be a wonderful musician.”
Even now, seven years after the series series aired, the family still find their fame surprising at times.
Brendan added: “You’ve no idea how true that is. We open magazines sometimes and we go ‘That’s us!’ ”
Last year’s Christmas Day special was watched by 6.8 million viewers, with the ‘Downton Abbey’ finale in 2015 being the only programme to beat it in the ratings over the past seven years.
The ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’ festive special for 2018 will air on Christmas Day (25.12.18) at 10.15pm on BBC1.

OHMYGOSSIP — Serena Williams missed her daughter’s first steps because she was at Wimbledon.
The American court legend has 15-month-old Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. with her husband Alexis Ohanian and she has opened up about the sacrifices she has had to make as a mother to continue her tennis career.
When Alexis walked for the first time, Serena was in London practising for her next match at the tournament and she took to social media to share her disappointment at missing the landmark moment but she felt better about her absence when numerous parents messaged her to say that their careers had also cost them precious moments with their kids.
Speaking to Ashley Graham on her Pretty Big Deal podcast, Serena said: “The best one [response] was when I was at Wimbledon and I missed her walking and taking her first steps. That was really hard for me because I was at practice I didn’t even have a match that day I was just at practice and you know she took her steps and I was so disappointed. Then everyone was like, ‘Oh yeah, that happened to me too,’ like literally there were so many comments I had so much engagement on that particular post. It was so many comments and so many people were like, ‘Yeah me too, I was at work, I was in the bathroom.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, OK, so it’s only in the movies where the mom is there and the dad is there too and they’re perfect and the baby takes the best steps.’
“So I get it now we’re not living in a movie, and so that was really good feedback and it wasn’t just moms it was dads too and I really liked that.”
Serena – whose older sister Venus Williams is also one of the greats of women’s tennis – enjoys sharing her parenthood experiences on social media because she feels reassured when other mothers talk about their lives with their kids.
She said: “I love when I hashtag thismomma because I feel like I can get this incredible group of people and women that give me feedback. It’s like my community of help. If I don’t know what to do I get so much good advice.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashanti relies on regular colonic irrigation treatments to stay fit and healthy.
The 38-year-old R&B singer believes the hydrotherapy sessions – which involve having your bowel being flushed of waste food material in the body with water – help her keep a flat stomach and a trim figure.
Ashanti also follows a pescatarian diet, avoids fried foods and has fast days.
Speaking to the New York Post’s Page Six Style section, she said: “It’s good to fast. Also, this may be TMI, but colonics are great too.”
Ashanti is committed to the gym and exercises with a personal trainer wherever in the States she may be and insists she’d rather make sacrifices when it comes to eating and exercise than have to limit her wardrobe and not feel good in her clothes.
She explained: ” As women, we already have to wear uncomfortable shoes, so our feet are always hurting. So if you can find an outfit that looks amazing, fits amazing and it’s comfortable, you’re winning.”
Ashanti is broadening her horizons outside of the music business and is launching a 21-piece fashion line with New York based brand Miss Circle.
Speaking about the collection, she said: “My motto has always been to stay classy and sassy and sexy, not trashy, I think that I always try to inspire women to be bosses and demand respect. You can still be sexy and swaggy and be the boss.”

Mariah Carey no longer speaks to All I Want For Christmas co-writer

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey hasn’t spoken to ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ co-writer Walter Afanasieff for “20 years”.
The 60-year-old Grammy Award winning songwriter worked with Mariah for several years with their relationship beginning back in 1990 with him co-writing and co-producing 1993 hit ‘Hero’ and jointly penning ‘One Sweet Day’ with Mariah which was a number one for her and Boyz II Men, as well as the festive classic.
Despite the incredible music they created together, Walter now has no relationship with Mariah.
Speaking to RadioTimes.com, Walter said: “We had a falling out. I would have hoped that in 20 years, she would have knocked on my door – but she hasn’t, so…”
The producer claims that the pair stopped talking when she got divorced in 1998 from her first husband Tommy Mottola, who was the head of Sony Music Entertainment whom he was contracted to.
Walter added: “The reason we stopped working together was primarily because she and her husband, who was the chairman of Sony Music, got a divorce. And I was under an exclusive contract with him. So, she left the building, she wasn’t even on the label anymore, but I couldn’t go and work with her because he wouldn’t let me. So she found that to be a little bit of a slap in the face.
“Singers like Mariah, Celine [Dion], Whitney [Houston], Barbra [Streisand] they’re all very insecure creatures. If you start working on a song with another singer, the jealousy comes out. They’re very, very jealous people. I was working to put food on my table. I can’t only work with Mariah, I have to work with other people, and I think that was a bit of a problem ’cause I was working, at that time, with Celine, and there was a girl named Lara Fabian, too. So, I don’t know, we just parted ways.”
Walter – who won the 1999 Record of the Year Grammy Award for producing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ which was recorded by Celine for the ‘Titanic’ film – has also claimed that ‘GTFO’ hitmaker “doesn’t like to acknowledge other people” have aided her success which is another reason the pair don’t talk anymore.
He said: “She doesn’t like to acknowledge other people. It seems to be a problem with singers. If you see a singer talking about something that they wrote, they will probably say I wrote the song when I was 12 years old, or, here’s another song I wrote. It doesn’t matter how many interviews she’s done or when she’s on stage, she’ll never ever say, ‘Here’s the song that I wrote with Walter.’ ”

Kelvin Fletcher doesn’t watch Emmerdale to ‘keep his distance’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelvin Fletcher doesn’t watch ‘Emmerdale’ anymore because he wanted to “put some distance between” himself and the soap.
The 34-year-old actor portrayed Andy Sugden on the ITV show from 1996 to 2016, and admits the public “keep him up to speed” on what’s happening in the soap since he decided to call time on his Dales career so he doesn’t need to watch the soap.
Speaking to Emmerdaily, he said: “I don’t watch as it clashes with my daughter’s bedtime and I needed to put some distance between me and the show but it doesn’t matter because everywhere I go, the public keep me up to speed.
“They ask why I haven’t visited Sarah (Andy’s daughter) or if I even know she’s ill. They’re very passionate both in person and on social media.
“I do keep up with how the show is doing in terms of awards as I’m still good friends with Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle) and Ryan Hawley (Robert Sugden, Andy’s brother). They’ve both continued to do so well as has Emmerdale over the past couple of years. It’s so well deserved and a long time coming!”
Kelvin admitted that playing Andy has left him wanting to explore as many “different roles as possible” and he confessed he’d love to star in a “historical drama”, because he’s a bit of a “geek”.
He added: “After playing the same character for so long, I’m just keen to do as many different types of roles as possible. I’m a history geek so I’d love to do a historical drama maybe but I just want to stretch myself as an actor.”

John Boyega in talks for A Naked Singularity

OHMYGOSSIP — John Boyega is in talks to star in ‘A Naked Singularity’.
The ‘Star Wars’ actor is in discussions for a role in Ridley Scott’s upcoming legal drama, with ‘It’ co-writer Chase Palmer set to direct based on a script by David Matthews.
The movie is based on Sergio De La Pava’s debut novel of the same name, which tells the story of a successful public defender in New York.
In the book, man’s life begins to unravel after losing his first case.
Tony Ganz will produce alongside Ridley’s own Scott Free Productions.
The news comes after Boyega recently admitted despite his huge success since appearing in ‘The Force Awakens’ in 2015, he wants to make sure he stays humble.
He said: “You change in this process, but what changes the most is the way in which people react to you. Treating yourself like a human being is something you must constantly remember to implement, not for yourself but for the people who are closest to you – as they say back in my ends – ‘so you don’t get lost in the sauce.’ ”
Meanwhile, John previously insisted he doesn’t see himself as a celebrity.
He previously explained: “The downside? You’ll sometimes get it while walking on the street. I don’t see myself as a celebrity. I walk on the street because I have always walked on the street.
“Sometimes somebody will ask for a selfie and it’s not the right time. I have no problem being polite. But you’re not always going to get the best response. Some people think: that’s your job. That is understandable. But you know.”

Ashanti releasing ‘swaggy’ fashion line

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashanti is bringing out a “sexy and swaggy” fashion line.
The 37-year-old singer has worked with New York based brand Miss Circle, which has been created by Isabel Deng, to produce the Miss Circle x Ashanti collection, featuring 21 pieces such as evening dresses and accessories.
The ‘Foolish’ hitmaker says the inspiration behind the collection is to make women “be the boss”.
Speaking to the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six Style section, she said: “My motto has always been to stay classy and sassy and sexy, not trashy, I think that I always try to inspire women to be bosses and demand respect. You can still be sexy and swaggy and be the boss.”
The ‘Rain on Me’ singer has been approached by other fashion brands who wanted to collaborate with her in the past but the reason she wanted to work with Miss Circle is because the company was giving her the opportunity to show the world “who she is.”
She said: “This is a very visual industry, so I feel like the more things that you’re a part of and the more that you’re able to show your brand and your style and who you are in different fashions, the better off you are.”
Ashanti has new music planned for 2019 and will be starring in the movie ‘Stuck’ – on which she also acts as an executive producer – and she thinks the fashion line is another example of her desire to move away from her R&B beginnings.
She said: “It’s really important not to put all of your eggs in one basket or to be one dimensional. Now, more than ever, you have to keep the attention span and you have to keep a lot of things going on.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore “really misses her thin eyebrows”.
The 43-year-old actress – who recently launched her own cosmetic line named Flower Beauty – has admitted she loved her 90s style plucked eyebrows much more than the fuller brow she sports now.
However, she is “lucky they grew back” because she “tweezed them for so many years” to keep their slim shape.
Speaking to Refinery29, Drew said: “I really miss my thin eyebrows! Although I’m so lucky they grew back, because I tweezed them for so many years … I also loved bleaching the crap out of them – I had a personal stock investment in Jolen. Another thing I loved: We used to draw MAC’s Spice lip liner all over our lips, then get a powder puff and pound it over our faces, and reapply and repeat. It was like we were trying to create our own matte lipstick with chalky powder and lip liner.”
The ‘Never Been Kissed’ star also confessed that she has always appreciated the “power of beauty” since she was a young girl and loves how it can make you feel like a “different woman”.
She added: “I think that makeup really transforms a woman’s demeanour, attitude and confidence levels. It’s like armour. When I was a little kid on set, I’d see these women go into the makeup trailer at 4am, hunched over with their collars pulled up and their faces turned down. Then, through hot rollers and lipstick and all of this magic, they were completely different women by 6am. That to me was the power of beauty: transformation.”

Sara Sampaio has ditched caffeine from her diet

OHMYGOSSIP — Sara Sampaio quit drinking coffee three years ago because caffeine made her feel “jittery”.
The 27-year-old Portuguese model recognised that she was crashing after having the hot beverage in the mornings and so cut it from her diet completely and she has never felt more energised.
Speaking to the US edition of ELLE magazine, Sara said: “For breakfast, if I’m at home, I’ll cook some eggs and avocado. If I wake up very late and it’s almost lunchtime, I’ll throw some steak in it, I just like to try to keep it as balanced and healthy as I can.
“I love to have a warm drink in the morning, but I don’t drink coffee, I quit coffee about three years ago now and I feel a lot better since I quit. I actually have more energy which everyone always gets very surprised when I tell them I have more energy. I just don’t crash.
“I really like how it makes me feel – especially as I get a lot of anxiety – so just quitting caffeine helped me not be jittery. I love pepper tea because it’s very fresh.”
The Victoria’s Secret Angel has also revealed that her favourite product in her cosmetics bag is her highlighter because it makes her feel “younger and fresh”.
She said: “My morning routine is to start with brushing my teeth, I actually use no fluoride, no SLS toothpaste. My skin is very sensitive so I got this rose toning gel from The Organic Pharmacy. I’m also just going to focus on my eyes to make them pop, I like this curler from Shiseido which is great. A little bit of mascara from Armani Beauty too, not a lot, just a little. I also use an eyebrow pencil to fill in any gaps.
“The last thing for makeup is highlighter, my favourite thing! It makes you look younger, and fresh and healthy.”

Stacey Dooley lost Glitterball Trophy hours after winning

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ winner Stacey Dooley lost her Glitterball Trophy hours after she won it.
The 31-year-old TV presenter and her professional partner Kevin Clifton were awarded the prestigious prize during Saturday’s (15.12.18) final of the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition, but TV doctor Dr Ranj – who was eliminated from the series in week seven – revealed thought he misplaced it after “sneaking a picture” with the trophy.
Speaking on The Telegraph’s ‘Talking Strictly’ podcast, Dr Ranj said: “Here’s a little secret … so after the after party, I may have snuck a picture with Stacey’s trophy.
“Then there was a message on the WhatsApp group yesterday saying, ‘Has anyone seen my trophy? I left it in the room with all the bags and now I can’t find it.’ ”
But Stacey managed to find the highly-coveted trophy before things got out of hand.
Dr Ranj added: “‘I think it was put away for safe keeping.”
On the podcast, the A&E doctor was asked: “You didn’t leave it in the cab did you?”
He quickly replied: “No … I was like, ‘How many drinks did I have?’.”
Stacey previously admitted she didn’t believe she could finish in first place because of her lower scores.
She said: “I wasn’t really entertaining the thought of winning. I didn’t think it was possible. It just shows that people at home are enjoying what we’re trying to do. You have to put the extra hours in if you’re not up to scratch with everyone else.”
Kevin added: “We didn’t think we had a chance. After a slightly tough year I’ve had such a good time. I’ve loved Strictly. Stacey has been a joy from day one.”

Jason Momoa won’t cut his hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Momoa won’t cut his hair, because he thinks his wife Lisa Bonet would “leave” him.
The 39-year-old actor has become known for his signature long locks, and has said he won’t be cutting his tresses short any time soon, because he’s worried his wife Lisa – with whom he has 11-year-old daughter Lola and 10-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf – would divorce him if he changed his look.
He said: “My wife would leave me if I cut my hair so I just don’t cut my hair. I am not cutting my hair for a while, I will tell you that much.”
The ‘Aquaman’ star also needs to keep his hair long whilst he continues to star as Arthur Curry and his aquatic alter-ego in the DC Extended Universe, so thinks Lisa is safe from a short-haired Jason “for the next two years”.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, he added: “I am going to be playing this guy for a while and I don’t want to wear a wig. I think we are good for the next two years.”
Jason and the 51-year-old actress – who married in 2017 – first met in 2005 at a jazz club in New York, and the hunk has previously spoken about how his hair has always been a key part of their love story.
Last year, he said: “We just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I actually had dreaded my hair for her. I had dreadlocks, she had dreadlocks. I literally turned around and I see her and she goes, ‘I’m Lisa.’
“I turned around to my friend and I [pretended to scream]. I had f***ing fireworks going off inside, man.”
Prior to meeting the ‘Game of Thrones’ actor, Lisa was married to musician Lenny Kravitz from 1987 to 1993, and has 30-year-old daughter Zoe Kravitz with the rocker.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwen Stefani has praised Pharrell Williams for giving her “confidence”.
The 49-year-old singer has teamed up with Pharrell on a number of her biggest hits including ‘Hollaback Girl’ and ‘Wind It Up’, and she has now said that the producer always “believed in” her, and gave her the confidence to be herself through her music.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ alongside Pharrell, she said: “I feel like it was a cultural collision. At first, we were coming from such different worlds but yet we were so similar in so many ways. We had the same interests, just love for life and art and music. It was just an amazing mashup of people to be together.
“And I feel like he just always gave me this crazy confidence, and he believed in me in this way that I didn’t. I didn’t see myself the way that he saw me. So I don’t know … We just try crazy stuff all the time.”
The ‘Rich Girl’ singer is no stranger to heaping praise on those close to her, as she often gushes over her boyfriend Blake Shelton – whom she met following her split from former husband Gavin Rossdale, and when Blake had just separated from his ex-wife Miranda Lambert – and recently revealed she’s still on cloud nine when it comes to their romance, as she believes they’ll last “forever”.
When asked if she thinks her relationship with Blake will stand the test of time, Gwen said: “I hope so, yeah!”
And although their romance is still going strong, the ‘Cool’ singer – who has sons Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, four, with former spouse Gavin – doesn’t feel any “pressure” to tie the knot with Blake any time soon.

John Legend’s ‘beautiful’ Christmas gift plan

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend wants to buy Chrissy Teigen a “practical but beautiful” Christmas present.
The 39-year-old musician has said he always makes sure to give his wife Chrissy – with whom he has Luna, two, and Miles, seven months – something she can get use out of when it comes to buying Christmas presents, but also strives to find something “tasteful” for a touch of romance.
Speaking about his gifting choices, he said: “I like it to be practical, but also really beautiful and tasteful. Things she can use but are also fly.”
The ‘All of Me’ hitmaker – who married Chrissy in 2013 – has already secured his present for the ‘Lip Sync Battle’ host this year, and says his Christmas duties are now done, as his wife is sorting out the gifts for their brood.
He added: “I have Chrissy’s present, and Miles won’t know the difference. Chrissy’s really been doing most of it! She’s been working on Luna’s stuff a lot.”
Although the famous couple will have their hands full with two tots this Christmas, John insists they still make time to “get dressed up and go on a date night” together as part of their festive traditions.
He said: “It’s fun to get dressed up and go on date night. She likes me in a nice, black suit with a white shirt and she’s happy. I like her in all variations, but I like sexy!”
Currently, John is out on his holiday tour which will see him play shows up until December 23, but he insists he will be home on Christmas Day (25.12.18) after performing at Kris Jenner’s Christmas party on December 24.
Speaking to People magazine, he said: “We’ll be home [for Christmas]. Our last show is the 23rd, I’ll do a little performance for Kris Jenner’s party on the 24th and then we’ll be home on the 25th!”
