Andy Cohen expecting first child via surrogate

OHMYGOSSIP — Andy Cohen is set to become a father for the first time via a surrogate.
The 50-year-old talk show host revealed he is expecting to welcome a little boy or girl into the world via surrogate mother in “about six weeks time” after “years of deliberation” at the end of his final ‘Watch What Happens Live’ show of the 2018 on Thursday (20.12.18).
He said: “I am grateful to be able to live my dream every day and grateful to you for coming along for the ride.
“I don’t take any of it for granted and throughout it I’ve always tried to be as transparent as possible.
“I overshare and I expect everyone around me to do the same.
“Tonight, I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, a fair amount of prayers, and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan in about six weeks time, I’m going to become a father.
“Thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future.”
Andy has wanted to become a parent his “entire life” and says becoming a father will be the “most rewarding chapter” in his life.
He concluded: “Family means everything to me and having one of my own I’ve wanted in my heart for my entire life and though it’s taking me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision to be the most rewarding chapter of my life.”
It’s not known whether Andy, who split from partner Clifton Dassuncao earlier this year, will be raising his child as a single parent.
After splitting from Clifton in March, the Emmy-winning reality television producer revealed he was looking for love on dating app Tinder.
However, his profile kept getting deleted because the app moderators thought he was impersonating himself.
Asked if he was on any dating apps, he said: “I am on Tinder and there is a gay dating app that I’m on that I keep getting kicked off of because they think I’m impersonating Andy Cohen. And they’re like, ‘Your photos don’t meet our guidelines.’ I’m like, ‘No, it is me!'”
But the ‘Love Connection’ host wasn’t too disheartened about his quest for a soulmate not being hugely successful, as he admitted he’s having “fun” being single.
When asked if being single was a “good thing”, Andy said: “You know what, every day that I’m alive is a great thing. And yeah … it’s fun, yeah.”

David Beckham ‘in talks over space travel’

OHMYGOSSIP — David Beckham is said to be in negotiations to become the first footballer to travel to space.
Pals of the 43-year-old star claim he has been mulling over the chance to be blasted into space after being approached by firms, and he could even kick a ball while he is in the cosmos.
A source said: “It’s something that David has talked about for quite a while.
“It has been mooted in the past but now space travel is becoming a more realistic prospect it could be a reality.
“Some of David’s kids have been talking about it and think it would be pretty cool.”
However, David – who has children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, seven, with wife Victoria Beckham, 44 – is said to be “very nervous” about the possibility of going to infinity and beyond.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “There aren’t many things he hasn’t done but this would be on another level – although he has admitted privately he’s very nervous about it.”
Space flight companies, such as Virgin Galactic, are said to be on the lookout for stars to blast off, and David is thought to be one name eyed for a potential sponsorship deal.
This comes after David previously admitted he would consider becoming an astronaut and taking a trip to the Moon.
Speaking in May 2005, while playing for Real Madrid, he was asked by Spanish radio station Onda Cero if he would ever fancy a jaunt to the astronomical body, and the former England captain admitted it would be “an experience” if he ever got the opportunity to do so.

Sheridan Smith says farming donkeys is her ‘sanity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sheridan Smith says farming donkeys is her “sanity”.
The 37-year-old singer-and-actress recently moved to a farm in the countryside with her fiance Jamie Horn – on which they have four donkeys, two goats and two pigs – and she admitted the hoofed mammals help to keep her grounded and “away from the madness”.
She said: “We’ve got our little farm with my donkeys. It’s my little bit of sanity away from the madness, to be honest.”
Sheridan met Jamie on Tinder after creating an account on the dating app because she wanted a bit of “normality”, and she admits pair “just clicked”.
Speaking on the upcoming Christmas special of the ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, she added: “It’s difficult now isn’t it and I think, we’re always working with people in the industry and I wanted a bit of normality.
“I don’t ever get to meet anyone who is not in the industry, not that that’s bad but I just really wanted someone away from that and that’s what I’ve got.
“I met him and I just, they say you know instantly and I’ve always been a bit like, ‘Oh come on,’ but I don’t know, we just clicked and suddenly it just wasn’t difficult anymore.”
Sheridan was left devastated when her beloved father Colin passed away in 2016, and she recently admitted losing her dad sparked a “massive meltdown” that resulted in her “losing the plot”.
She said: “I kind of lost the plot after that and had a massive meltdown.
“I ran away. There’s that kind of northern, ‘Keep calm and carry on’ vibe – we’re all like that.
“I feel I’ve come out the other side now.”
‘The Jonathan Ross Christmas Show’ airs on Saturday (22.12.18) at 9pm on ITV.

Wendy Williams responds to viewers’ concern for her health

OHMYGOSSIP — Wendy Williams has addressed the “genuine concern” for her health after struggling through her daytime talk show in pain.
The 54-year-old star apologised to her viewers for the “less than stellar” episode of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ on Thursday (20.12.18), admitting she went “against” her “better judgement” going ahead and filming the programme whilst she is still struggling with the hairline fracture in her right shoulder.
In a lengthy message to her Instagram followers, Wendy – who suffers with an overactive thyroid and autoimmune disease Graves – wrote: “To My Wendy Watchers,
I sincerely apologize if you feel that today’s show was less than stellar. I’m on your TV screens every day wanting to spread laughter, entertainment and cheer. “As I reported earlier in the week, I have a hairline fracture on my upper arm, which hurts like hell.
“I’ve never broken a bone or experienced a fracture in my life. In the key place where the fracture is, and trying to scurry around and do too much, I am now paying the price. I’ve never taken a pain medication in my life (except when I got snatched over 20 years ago) until this week. I did that to power through and try to deliver a great show for you, against the better judgement of the many people around me who genuinely care for my well-being.
“I really do ride or die for my craft and give 200%. Not to mention everyone is aware at this point about my thyroid condition (don’t cry for me Argentina).
“For all my fellow thyroid sufferers, you know what the deal is. And for those that don’t: I encourage you to please read up.
Needless to say, whatever today’s performance was with the legendary The Lox, who said such nice things, I have no regrets and I appreciate everyone’s genuine concern for my wellness and care. (sic)”
Vowing to get some much needed rest, she concluded: “I promise you a better Wendy in 2019. I will get some much needed rest and healing over these next couple of weeks. (Yes I am definitely juicing over the next couple of weeks). Sorry again. I love you all. Happy Holidays! (sic)”
The talk show host appeared on her eponymously titled show on Tuesday (18.12.18) with her arm in a sling which was hidden underneath a pink sweater, as she told viewers she had been injured during an accident over the weekend which has left her needing to heal.
She said: “I did it on Sunday by Monday morning my shoulder was on fire. There’s no way I could’ve done yesterday’s show, so I was all about the medical care yesterday from one doctor to the other. I’m on the mend, I don’t need an operation.”
The presenter’s recent injury comes after she was forced to take a three-week break from her talk show in October last year, when she collapsed live on air due to complications with her thyroid and Graves.

Danny Dyer to host Channel 4’s Alternative Christmas Message

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer will host Channel 4’s ‘Alternative Christmas Message’ this year.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor will use his speech – which will be broadcast on Christmas Day (25.12.18) at 3pm, going up against Queen Elizabeth’s annual message – to compare the “backstabbing” in the government to the goings-on on the BBC One soap.
In a teaser clip posted on Channel 4’s YouTube channel, he says: “This year has been pretty full-on to be honest. Like that shambles down in Westminster, what a palaver that is.
“I mean, where are our leaders? Where are they? There’s been more backstabbing than we have in Albert Square.”
He will also take aim at US President Donald Trump, describing him as an “absolute melt” after the politician cancelled a visit to a cemetery in France in November “due to the weather”.
Danny says: “It ain’t any better for the Yanks though, is it? What an absolute melt they’ve got there.
“He don’t want to turn up to memorials because it’s raining. He don’t fancy a little trip to Britain because there’s people here that just don’t like him. Leave off.”
The ‘Football Factory’ star will also pay tribute to one of his heroes, late playwright Harold Pinter – who died in 2008 aged 78 – describing him as a “father figure I didn’t even know I needed”.
He says: “My dad … he weren’t around when I was a kid. And er, you know, I love him and that, I don’t blame him.
“I was brought up by my mum and my nan, and they were brilliant women, and they worked their socks off for me, but I was angry, and I got into trouble, you know.
“I had the Old Bill round my gaff every five minutes. I was a wrong un.”
Channel 4 have broadcast their ‘Alternative Christmas Message’ every year since 1993, with the likes of Sharon Osbourne, Katie Piper, Jamie Oliver and a team of midwives from documentary series ‘One Born Every Minute’ all delivering messages over the years.
Last year, five young survivors from the tragic Grenfell Tower disaster – which occurred when a London tower block burst into flames in June 2017, resulting in 72 deaths – read out an emotional speech.

Vanessa Hudgens joins Bad Boys for Life

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Hudgens has confirmed she’s joined the cast of ‘Bad Boys for Life’.
The 30-year-old actress – who is best known for portraying Gabriella Montez in the ‘High School Musical’ film series – is set to join Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in the long-awaited third instalment of the much-loved thriller/mystery franchise.
Sharing a screenshot of Variety’s article reporting that she, ‘Riverdale’ star Charles Melton and ‘Vikings’ actor Alexander Ludwig have been cast in the film on her Instagram Story, Vanessa wrote: “Stoked!!!!”
The trio will be part of a special police squad in Miami that clashes with Will and Martin’s respective alter egos, Detectives Mike Lowry and Marcus Burnett.
The duo both starred in the 1995 film ‘Bad Boys; and its 2003 sequel ‘Bad Boys II’.
Confirming that they had reunited and are set to reprise their roles, Martin took to Instagram to post a picture of himself next to 50-year-old Will and said the third movie was now “official”.
He wrote: “It’s official. Bad Boys for Life. #teammartymar #badboysforlife @willsmith #weback (sic)”
For Martin, the return marks the first time he’s been in a movie since 2011’s ‘Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son’, and the first time he’s acted at all since appearing in the 2014 TV series ‘Partners’.
‘Bad Boys for Life’ has been discussed for years and suffered several false dawns, largely due to Will’s hectic schedule, but in October, it was reported that Sony Pictures were on the cusp of giving the movie the green light.
Production is set to begin in early 2019, with the film having been handed a tentative release date of January 2020.
Will previously revealed he was certain that he and Martin would be reuniting for the third ‘Bad Boys’ movie.
Speaking in 2016, the Hollywood star shared: “I saw Martin a few weeks ago.
“I haven’t seen him for about two years. We just looked at each other. We hugged. In that moment, we knew we were making another ‘Bad Boys.’ We’re definitely doing another one.”

Adam McKay confirms Guardians of the Galaxy 3 talks

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam McKay has held talks about directing ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’.
The ‘Big Short’ filmmaker has been in discussions with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about the possibility of helming the movie – which was pushed back earlier this year after director James Gunn was fired by Disney over controversial past tweets – but hasn’t said whether he will take on the role or not.
He said: “We’ve talked a little bit. Yeah. We were kicking around the idea of the Inhumans at one point. We’re always kind of talking.
“I think Feige is just the greatest and I think what they’re doing is amazing.”
But McKay has admitted he would “do anything” to make a Silver Surfer movie one day.
Speaking on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, he added: “Silver Surfer is the one I want to do, man.
“I would do anything to do Silver Surfer, because visually that would just be … you could do what the Wachowskis did with ‘Speed Racer’ with The Silver Surfer.
“At the same time, there’s a great emotional story in there, where the guy has to make the choice to save his planet.”
McKay’s comments come three months after Bradley Cooper dismissed the idea of replacing Gunn on ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’.
When asked about whether he’d be interested in stepping up if the studio approached him, Cooper – who voices Rocket Raccoon in the franchise – said: “In directing it?
“I could never direct anything that I didn’t write. No, I could never direct anything that I didn’t write.”
Cooper is among several of his fellow castmates who signed a statement earlier this year defending Gunn.
The statement read: “We fully support James Gunn. We were all shocked by his abrupt firing last week and have intentionally waited these ten days to respond in order to think, pray, listen, and discuss.
“In that time, we’ve been encouraged by the outpouring of support from fans and members of the media who wish to see James reinstated as director of Volume 3 as well as discouraged by those so easily duped into believing the many outlandish conspiracy theories surrounding him.”

Taboo: Fergie turned down Black Eyed Peas to do solo album

OHMYGOSSIP — Fergie turned down a Black Eyed Peas reunion to work on her solo album.
That’s according to her former fellow band member Taboo, who claims the ‘I Gotta Feeling’ hitmakers – also made up of will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Jessica Reynoso – offered the 43-year-old singer the chance to team up with them again but she wanted to work on her second album, ‘Double Dutchess’.
Taboo – who battled testicular cancer in 2014 – said: “When I beat cancer I felt rejuvenated, like I wanted to be back on stage again.
“When we asked Fergie if she wanted to rock with us, she said respectfully, ‘I’m going to do the ‘Double Dutchess’.’
“And I felt like time waits for no man, so we went in to create the album ‘Masters of The Sun Vol. 1’, knowing we had to go back to celebrating the accomplishments of us being a trio.”
Jessica has since replaced Fergie in the band, but will admits it felt normal being a trio because he, Taboo and apl.de.ap were the co-founding members of the group.
He said: “Returning to the trio that we were wasn’t something which felt jarring or foreign to us.
“When we started the group we were a trio and even when we were a quartet, we were a trio.
“Because we are the origins of what we created, it’s not foreign at all.”
The Peas have now set their sights on collaborating with legendary actress Joanna Lumley, who is a big fan of the band and is to host a 20th anniversary TV tribute show for the group on Saturday (22.12.18).
will added to The Sun newspaper: “We would love to collaborate with Joanna. It would be her as Patsy from ‘Ab Fab’ in a sketch that turns into a song. It would be a hoot.”
The Peas previously admitted they were planning to offer the original “Fergie”, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, a place in the band after will bonded with her when they met Oprah Winfrey to discuss a poetry project.
Speaking in July, he said: “I was gonna call Princess Beatrice and take her mum’s offer up, we’re going to bring the duchess in. I’m sure nobody will notice.
“We talked about doing a project together because she has awesome poems, poetry that she does.
“Her and Oprah, we hung out. We were bumpin’ in the car in the whip and Fergie was like, ‘Yo, turn that s*** up.’ ”

Busy Philipps breaks down in tears amid Oprah Winfrey call

OHMYGOSSIP — Busy Philipps broke down in tears on her talk show on Thursday (20.12.18) after receiving a phone call from Oprah Winfrey.
The 39-year-old actress was visibly overcome with emotion during an episode of ‘Busy Tonight’ when her Oprah-dedicated yellow phone rang during the broadcast and she discovered it was the TV icon who was talking to her.
Wiping away tears as she spoke, Busy said: “Oh, my god. Hi Oprah.”
Then, Oprah asked: “How are you?”
And Busy admitted: “I’m crying now and I have a cold, but I love you.”
Oprah replied: “I’m just calling to make sure this dog gone phone works. It works! It works!”
Busy then told Oprah that regardless of the time, she’s always welcome to contact her.
The former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ star said: “Anytime you want to call we can talk about whatever, harvest day, or just like vegetables.”
Oprah, 64, subsequently admitted she was pleased to see Busy making a success of her talk show, which premiered earlier this year.
The TV veteran revealed she hopes to see more women follow in her footsteps by hosting their own late-night show.
She said: “It’s so good to see a woman on late-night!”
Following the unexpected call, Busy admitted she was struggling to recompose herself.
The actress confessed: “How do we recover from Oprah calling?
“It’s just been a wild time in everybody’s lives and that was really nice.”
Meanwhile, Busy admitted last month that discussing frivolous issues on her show is a great way of “unplugging” from reality.
She explained: “It’s okay to care about refugee children being held at the borders and then also do a face mask and like, have fun.
“Otherwise your brain is going to break.”
Busy sees her show as a form of escapism, allowing her audience to switch off from the more serious and worrying issues they face on a daily basis.
She said: “We’re reaching a point where so many people feel so overwhelmed by world events that they’re having a hard time sort of unplugging from it.”

Kirsty-Leigh Porter teases ‘drama-filled’ Hollyoaks special

OHMYGOSSIP — Kirsty-Leigh Porter has teased Hollyoaks’ one-hour festive wedding special will be a “drama-filled, emotional event”.
The 29-year-old actress’ alter-ego Leela Lomax is all set to marry Louis Loveday (Karl Collins) despite not knowing he is already married to his ex Simone Loveday’s (Jacqueline Boatswain) sister Martine Deveraux (Kelle Bryan), and the star admits her alter-ego’s world will “come crashing down” if she finds out about Louis’ bigamy.
She said: “It’s a ‘Hollyoaks’ wedding, no one does them better and it’s also Leela’s third attempt at tying the knot!
“With the drama escalating and the truth so close to coming out about Louis’ secrets, it’s bound to be a drama filled, emotional event.
“Leela’s world would come crashing down if she learns of Louis’s unfaithfulness.
“She had a tiny glimpse of suspicion he was up to no good and asked Louis out right if he was having an affair, but he told her to her face that he wasn’t … She believed him.
“So, for him to have lied when given the opportunity to come clean, will be another stab in the back.”
Should the truth come out, Kirsty-Leigh has hinted her character may well head abroad for some rest and relaxation to get over the devastation.
She added: “I think Leela needs to take time out for herself. She’s always been the head of the family since her mum and dad died, she’s always tried to look after everyone and put everyone first before herself.
“She needs to book a five-star cruise around the Caribbean, take time some out and find her sassy self again!”
What’s more, Leela could well take a break of some sorts from the village next year regardless – because Kirsty is pregnant.
Announcing the news, she recently said: “We were really, really happy. You just feel everything at once.
“With acting, you don’t know when you’re okay to be like, ‘Let’s take a year out and do this.’
“You’re just prepared when it happens, and we’re so happy it’s happened for us now.”

Keanu Reeves has ‘ideas for days’ about the John Wick franchise

OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves has “ideas for days” about the future of the ‘John Wick’ franchise.
The 54-year-old actor recently shot ‘John Wick: Chapter 3’ – which is set for release in 2019 – and the Hollywood star is keen to return to the money-spinning series, according to director Chad Stahelski.
Chad told Entertainment Weekly: “I enjoy making these movies because there’s no limit.
“We create our own mythology, and we have a studio that both stays out of our way and supports us on the wacky decisions.”
In the ‘John Wick’ movies, Keanu plays the role of a retired hitman.
And the Hollywood star is apparently eager to return to the franchise, provided ‘John Wick: Chapter 3’ proves to be a box-office success.
Chad explained: “If people go see the movie, and it makes money, and they came back to us, Keanu and I have ideas for days. I could live here for the rest of my career.
“If people like it and want to watch more, I could think of way worse ways to spend your career. But, you know, we’re in the entertainment business. We’ll let the audience figure that out.”
Earlier this year, meanwhile, a synopsis revealed details of ‘John Wick: Chapter 3’.
It read: “John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons … he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds.
“The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s ‘Excommunicado’ – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members.
“John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City. (sic)”

Twenty One Pilots didn’t think Heathens was a hit song

OHMYGOSSIP — Twenty One Pilots didn’t expect their ‘Suicide Squad’ soundtrack to be a hit.
Tyler Joseph – who is joined by drummer Josh Dun in the pop rock duo – has revealed that ‘Heathens’ wasn’t intended to be for the DC Comics superhero movie – which starred Jared Leto as The Joker and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn – and admits it was “weird” that one of their first chart songs was featured in a blockbuster.
Speaking about the success of the 2016 song, Tyler told MusicFeeds.com.au: “Yeah that was just an exercise for me.
“I’d never written a song with a movie in mind and the ideas they threw my way I brushed off.
“I was expecting them not to like it. I was writing a song for a future record.
“I wanted it to be a Twenty One Pilots song the whole time and then when it ended up in the movie, we didn’t expect it to become a huge song but I listen back to it now and it’s just such a good song.”
The 30-year-old musician – who is known to climb the rigging at their concerts – also discussed the ‘Stressed Out’ band’s epic live production and how they will never scale back their shows to save money.
He said: “Yes. We try to connect that as often as we can but it’s expensive. Something that we’ve always believed in, even with the money we’d make playing locally, we have a band account and that money was spent on the band. If you apply that same principle to what we’re doing tonight, we want to put on the best show we can. Every little thing up there is costing us money. On the business side of it there’s a decision to make. We could make more money just by putting on a show with little production but we just know that we have to rely on that philosophy we’ve had the whole time. We want to put the money back into the show so the fans keep coming back to see us.”

Stephen Mulhern: Ant and Dec are excited for In For A Penny

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephen Mulhern is thrilled to have the backing of Ant and Dec for his ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ spin-off.
The 41-year-old presenter is set to have his own programme based on his ‘In For A Penny In For A Grand’ segment on the popular ITV entertainment show and says the comedy duo, who came up with the idea, are “excited” for it to start.
He told the Mirror Online: “It is a dream and Ant and Dec, it’s there idea, they solely came up with it and we did it on ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’.”
Stephen also presents a number of other shows on TV and can’t believe that the tiny segment is what gets people stopping him in the street the most.
He said: “The bizarre thing is, I’m so lucky to do ‘Catchphrase’, ‘Britain’s Got More Talent’, ‘Big Star’s Little Star’, ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’, and the weird thing is that ‘In For A Penny In For A Grand’ has only been on ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’, if you added up all the minutes, it would work out to be about 18 to 20 minutes of airtime, and the weird thing is I have more people say to me in the street, ‘Hey I’ve got a penny, I’m ready to go’.
“I think it says a lot about the show and I’ve spoken to both the boys and they were so excited about it, and good times are coming, fingers crossed.
“And I hope from what ITV are saying that it’s going to hit screens about March.”
The segment sees Stephen visiting different locations in the country to offer members of the public the chance to win £1000 with just a penny by answering a series of silly questions and doing strange tasks.
The magician says he has been amazed by the lengths people will go to for the crash prize.
He said: “You wait to see some of the things that, I’ll go as far as to say that we’ve got away with, not what we’ve done, what we’ve got away with.
“Because literally at the end of the day, I was like why would anybody eat a steak bake off a fishing line? It’s difficult and very messy.
“You also forget how important £1,000 is. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, you go ‘Okay’, but when you give someone £1,000 in cash you see how important it is to people.”
Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that Ant McPartlin’s ex-wife has landed a job on ‘In For A Penny’ with Stephen.
Lisa Armstrong – who divorced the presenter in October – was asked to be the make-up artist on the the forthcoming series after previously working on ‘Saturday Night Take Away’.
A source said: “She’s been with good friend Stephen Mulhern all week working on ‘In For A Penny’, but her pals are a surprised she’s returned to the show given that it’s Ant and Dec’s production company that makes it.”

Charlie Winter releases first rap single

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Winter has released his first rap single.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor – who plays Hunter Owen on the BBC One soap – has recorded song ‘Cheeky Chappy Flow’ under the name Chaz, and he has dropped a video for the track which was shot is “under an hour”.
A description for the clip, which appears on Chaz’s YouTube channel, reads: “Chaz makes his artist debut with this witty and charismatic Freestyle ‘Cheeky Chappy Flow’. Filmed in just under an hour.”
Charlie has been teasing the song’s release on his Instagram page this week, sharing a black and white picture of himself in London’s Regent’s Park, where the video was shot.
He also posted a short teaser clip before following it up with a picture to reveal the ‘Cheeky Chappy Flow’ video was available to watch on YouTube last night (20.12.18).
It’s not the first surprising thing fans have found out about Charlie this year, though.
In October, his co-star Jamie Borthwick – who plays Jay Brown on ‘EastEnders’ – revealed he is related to the 22-year-old actor.
He said: “Charlie Winter and I are family.
“My great uncle is called Charlie Winter, so when they said there was a kid coming in called Charlie Winter, I was like, ‘Seriously?’
“Turns out we are second cousins.”
This came just a month after Coronation Street’s Sally Ann Matthews – who plays Jenny Connor – found out she and former cobbles stalwart Amanda Barrie (Alma Halliwell) are cousins when they appeared on ITV show ‘Coronation Street’s DNA Secrets’, which explored the genealogical links of several cast members.

Jon Bernthal dropped First Man role due to daughter’s coma

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Bernthal lost out on starring alongside Ryan Gosling in ‘First Man’ after his daughter went into a coma.
The ‘Baby Driver’ actor was set to play astronaut Dave Scott alongside the 38-year-old star, who took on the role of Neil Armstrong in the retelling of the 1969 Apollo 11 mission to the moon, but he was forced to rush to two-year-old Adeline’s beside after she became extremely poorly with the viral infection encephalitis, a rare condition that causes inflammation of the brain, which caused his little girl to suffer seizures.
Thankfully Adeline recovered from the potentially life-threatening virus, but after spending three days in a coma, she didn’t recognise who her family was when she woke up for the first time.
The 42-year-old star wouldn’t have been able to get through the scary ordeal without the support of his wife Erin Angle – with whom he also has sons Henry, seven, and five-year-old Billy – and said his spouse, who is a nurse herself, showed such “courage” and “beauty” in such a terrifying time for their family.
He told Men’s Health magazine: “[She was] pouring love into our daughter every step of the way.
“People talk about bravery like fake macho bravery, but my wife didn’t flinch. What I saw in my wife was courage and beauty unlike I’d ever seen.”
The role of Dave in ‘First Man’ ended up going to Christopher Abbott after Jon pulled out prior to production commencing in November, 2017.
Jon’s next role sees him play Ford executive Lee Iacocca in the ‘Ford v. Ferrari’ biopic, but he admits he almost turned it down because it was so close to filming for the second season of Netflix show ‘The Punisher’.
He told the publication: “One of my best friends, Sean Carrigan, came to set after my first week, and he saw how I was and he said, ‘Hey, man, don’t forget who the f**k you are’.
‘”You’re Henry Bernthal’s father, you’re Billy Bernthal’s father, you’re Adeline Bernthal’s father. You are who you are, and you’re what you’ve been through. Do not let this f**k you up.’ I came back the next Monday a different man.”
