Sacha Baron Cohen’s Who Is America? ends after one season

OHMYGOSSIP — Sacha Baron Cohen’s ‘Who Is America?’ will not return for a second season.
The 47-year-old comedian has confirmed that the controversial series – which was broadcast on the Showtime network in the US – will not be returning to TV screens after the much-debated first season landed the broadcaster with a $95 million defamation suit.
Sacha – whose show tricked unsuspecting politicians into saying and doing surreal things – explained to The Hollywood Reporter: “I will never be able to get a politician to bare his buttocks while screaming ‘God bless America!’ and screaming the N-word.”
In one particularly bizarre scene, Republican Jason Spencer flashed his bum and shouted racial slurs on the show.
But Sacha – who previously starred as the comedy creation Ali G – admitted he never thought the show would have a long shelf-life.
The comedian also conceded he’s simply too “lazy” to persist with the concept.
He said: “The idea is not to make it a ‘Seinfeld’ or an ‘SNL’. It is gruelling. I’m too lazy to do this.”
Meanwhile, Isla Fisher – who has been married to Sacha since 2010 – revealed earlier this year that she respected her husband even more after they worked together.
The loved-up duo collaborated on the 2016 comedy ‘Grimsby’, and Isla relished the experience.
Asked to name her favourite co-star, the actress said: “Well, I have to pick my husband. I would not want to not pick him. He is my favourite, obviously.
“We had a really fun time [on ‘Grimsby’]. We shared a trailer. And it was just hilarious.
“Obviously I always respected him, but having been around so many big comedy stars and seeing how they improvise and stuff – and then to work with my husband and see him be the best improv comedian I’ve ever worked with, I loved it.”

Josh Duhamel wants a family

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Duhamel wants to find a girl that he can “have a family with”.
The ‘Life As We Know It’ star – who has five-year-old son Axl with his ex-wife Fergie – can’t wait to have more children and wants to find a woman “young enough to have kids” so he can settle down and have a family.
Speaking to Dax Shepard on the Armchair Expert Podcast, he said: “I’m not 30 years old anymore. I’m 46. I want to have more kids in the next few years. So it’s more about finding someone young enough to have kids. It’s not as if I’m out there trying to just f**k anything. That’s not who I am. I’m trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with.”
Josh previously dated actress Eiza Gonzalez after his split from Fergie but their romance ended earlier this year because of bad “timing”.
A source said in the summer: “Josh Duhamel and Eiza Gonzalez have ended their relationship. Josh truly enjoyed Eiza’s company but is ready to move on. Eiza was very busy with work and so was Josh. She was willing to do whatever it took to make it last, but Josh just isn’t in that place at the moment. While they did end things partially because of their work schedules, they also called it quits because they truly are on different pages and the timing just wasn’t right.
“She was looking for a serious relationship and wanted a life partner. He wasn’t at that point. Josh is highly independent and he values his space and free time. It was hard for Eiza to deal with being apart so much.”

Saoirse Ronan wants to return to Broadway

OHMYGOSSIP — Saoirse Ronan wants to return to Broadway because she “loves getting feedback from the audience”.
The 24-year-old Irish actress has admitted she would like to go back to New York’s world famous theatre district and tread the boards because she loves to act with people in from of her.
Saoirse – who previously appeared in a Broadway run of Arthur Miller’s ‘The Crucible’ in 2016 – told the New York Post newspaper: “When I did ‘The Crucible’ onstage in New York [in 2016], I loved it. I got to live here but left when I was young. On a movie set, there’s no feedback from the audience. A live show is great. I relish coming back to the city. Being here, performing live theater is wonderful.”
Saoirse plays the titular role in her latest film ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ opposite Margot Robbie as Mary’s cousin Queen Elizabeth I in the drama biopic which focuses on the feud between England and Scotland in 1569.
And the ‘Lady Bird’ star admits it is a dream come true to play the historical figure.
Saoirse said: “The film focuses on the seven years before Mary’s arrest in England and we see Queen Elizabeth heavily involved in the politics of that time and the struggle against patriarchal authority. I’ve always wanted to play Mary and it was an amazing feeling to get to do it.
“It’s a fascinating and compelling story and I couldn’t wait to play this character. We get to see Mary in a very personal way, which adds another layer to the story and all the politics, betrayals and conspiracies taking place.”

Ian Somerhalder gets ‘fired up’ about healthy eating

OHMYGOSSIP — Ian Somerhalder feels proud to have been stopped by a stanger who wanted to commend him on his healthy grocery shop.
The 40-year-old actor – who is married to ‘Twilight’ star Nikki Reed – has revealed via a lengthy post on his Instagram account that he was stopped when he was out grocery shopping and praised for his basket being filled with colourful fruit and vegetables, although he was shocked to be told it was a “strange sight” because he always buys those types of foods.
Speaking on Instagram 14.3 million followers, Ian wrote: “I hope I don’t come off as an ass… A woman just stopped me in the grocery store and told me that she had never seen a basket like mine. I told her that I have never NOT seen this type of basket in my grocery-shopping behavior. A few others chimed in saying that it was a very strange sight! WTF? A strange sight? I’m in a grocery store. It’s food.
“It got me thinking and really fired up … I hear in the news constantly, in legislative bodies debating and the public complaining out right bitching about healthcare costs, drug companies and doctors and what rising costs do to our society, our lives and our economy. I know our system isn’t great. Yet, the public poisons itself daily with bad food choices.
“Food is medicine and medicine is food. It’s a fact. If we want to see our healthcare system changed, be a healthier society- and it will. How does that sound? Logical right? I don’t mean to sound like a d**k – or preachy but this is nuts: how is it, that grown professional people in a major American city have never seen a grocery basket full of normal & healthy foods that just all happen to be green or not processed. We’re so far down the rabbit hole of packaged and ‘convenient’ foods that our society is paying the price & so is our future. (sic)”
‘Vampire Diaries’ star Somerhalder also stated that it is time for people to start paying attention to what food they are consuming and what benefits it has for them, likening meals to putting the correct fuel in a car.
His post continued: “No one in our government is helping us be healthier through education. Why would they? Sick people are GREAT for business … It’s pretty simple: If you want to look well, feel well and BE well- just eat well. Obviously exercise as well, as much as you can. Everything else will start to fall into place. My mom raised me on no money & mostly as a single parent yet, she still ate well & exercised and it shaped my life. We make excuses why we can’t find the time to take care of ourselves and we end up past the point of no return… Why is that? How is it that we can’t see that: Happy and healthy people make a happy and healthy world.
“It’s hard to see that through a fog of prescription drugs, energy drinks & strong sleep aids. It’s hard I know, but its time to change. You wouldn’t put the wrong gas in your car, so why would you put wrong food in your body? We MUST take responsibility for what we put into our bodies starting now. We can do it. Ok. I’ll stop. Thnks (sic)”

Lily Collins: Honesty has changed my life

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Collins thinks her new-found honesty has transformed her life.
The 29-year-old actress – who suffered from an eating disorder during her teenage years – spoke openly about her fears in her 2017 book ‘Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me’, and Lily thinks it marked a turning point in her life.
Lily – who is the daughter of Phil Collins and his second wife, Jill Tavelman – explained: “We have all got our problems and our issues, OMG of course! The second that you’re honest and you talk about the things you feel shame towards, all of that goes away.”
Lily said that with her 30th birthday on the horizon, she felt a need to “get rid of the baggage” in her life.
Appearing on UK TV show ‘Lorraine’, the ‘Mirror Mirror’ star said: “At the end of the day, none of us are alone, and I realised before I could take on the baggage of another character I needed to get rid of the baggage of myself. I’m 30 next year!”
Earlier this month, Lily revealed she “never wanted” to be famous because of her father, who is one of the best-selling musicians of all time.
Lily insisted she wanted to make sure her success was “defined” by her own talents, rather than because of her connections.
Speaking about her determination to prove herself, Lily – who has also been acclaimed for her modelling work – explained: “Growing up I never wanted that to be a part of my story. Obviously I’m super-proud of my dad; I love my dad, I’m grateful for all the things I’ve learned, but it’s also something I wanted to define as my own.
“I always wanted to do it myself and for myself.”

Caroline Flack: Performing helps with anxiety

OHMYGOSSIP — Caroline Flack says performing takes away her anxiety.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ champion – who won the BBC ballroom competition in 2014 – explained she doesn’t get nervous when she’s kept busy, and that it’s the quiet time between projects when she becomes more anxious.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, she said: “The anxiety I get more when I’m not working. So actually work, for me, takes away my anxiety and doing live TV, in that moment when you’re consumed by something else, it takes away all of my thoughts. It distracts you! So actually being on stage, I’m less nervous than I am just being me.”
Earlier this month, the 39-year-old TV presenter revealed her mental health problems started just days after she was crowned the winner of ‘Strictly’ four years ago, and she was prescribed anti-depressants while hosting ‘The X Factor’ in 2015.
Caroline’s doctor recommended citalopram – used to treat depression and panic attacks – but the drugs left her feeling “numb” and she quit them after six months.
She opened up: “People see the celebrity lifestyle and assume everything is perfect, but we’re just like everyone else. Everyone is battling something emotional behind closed doors — that’s life. Fame doesn’t make you happy. Anti-depressants helped me get up in the morning, and stopped me from being sad, but what they also do is stop you from being happy.
“So I was just in this numb state. I stopped laughing at jokes, and that’s just not me. I came off them after six months, as I realised feeling something was better than feeling nothing at all.”
Caroline also explained that her on/off romance with Andrew Brady, 28, is currently off, explaining that although they have a “passionate, raw love”, they need to be happy with themselves before they can be together again.

Sandra Bullock’s life lessons

OHMYGOSSIP — Sandra Bullock has learned this year that “life happens whether you schedule it or not”.
The ‘Blind Side’ star was devastated when she lost her father in September and then her pet pooches a few days later and admits it has taught her that life doesn’t wait.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she said: “Life, I realised, happens whether you schedule it or not. That just blew my mind this year. My dad died, and then while my dad was failing, we get a call from the nanny that our dog, Ruby, the two-legger, had a stroke. And I’m like, ‘What, what?’ I was like, ‘Just put her on life support. Do something.’ And they go, ‘We can’t. She’s suffering.’ So I was like, ‘OK, there’s a reason for this.’ Dad’s settled. We fly home. [A few days later,] the nanny comes into the room. She’s got a look on her face. I’m like, ‘What did the kids do?’ She’s like, ‘I need to speak to you in the bedroom.’ And I was like, ‘OK,’ and she goes, ‘Your other dog has a heart tumour, and she’s going to die in three days.’ So, you know what, it’s life. But, you know, when you lose your little rides-or-die, it makes things different.”
Meanwhile, Sandra – who has Louis, eight, and Laila, six – previously confessed she is “a little neurotic” when it comes to her kids and admits she can be overprotective.
She said: “I now realise what it feels like to be afraid every single day because I love my kids to the point where I’m a little neurotic, in what’s happening out in the world, and am I a good mother? When you leave the house and they go to school, I check my phone constantly, did the school call, is something, are you gonna get hurt, if they’re leaving with somebody else, I panic. I have to learn how to relax within a world that spins that kind of worry and remind myself and my children that it is also a hopeful place.”

Travis Scott will marry Kylie Jenner soon

OHMYGOSSIP — Travis Scott will marry Kylie Jenner “soon”.
The ‘Butterfly Effect’ hitmaker insists he will be tying the knot with the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star as soon as he can but he has to “propose in a fire way” first.
He said: “We was just two kids, f***ing around. Maybe, like, the first week, you don’t know if it’s real or a fling. Then the second week you’re like, ‘Whoa, I’m still talking to her, she’s responding, I’m responding. We ain’t run out of a thing to say.’ And it got to a point where I was like, ‘I need her with me to operate. She’s that one.’ We’ll get married soon. I just gotta sturdy up – I gotta propose in a fire way.”
And the 26-year-old rapper thinks there is a big misconception about how “real” Kylie is just because she is so famous.
He told the January issue of Rolling Stone magazine: “People don’t understand how real my girl is. How ill she is. They have assumptions, bulls**t-ass remarks of what they think is going on. Nah, bro. She’s a Tim Burton fan, which is fire. Wes Anderson fan, which is fire. I like to just go outside and walk. Knowing a girl that famous, you’d think she’s like, ‘I need to go send somebody to do this for me,’ or ‘I need 15 motherf***ers around me,’ but we just walk out the crib. Me, I hate cameras. I don’t like people in my business. Going into a situation like that, you’d think it would be a whole public fest. You never know. ‘Maybe she’s into all the photos, or worried about this and that.’ And then you realise she is normal as possible. I realised what really mattered to her, which is none of this s**t. She’s the coolest motherf***er of all time.”

Darren Criss won’t play anymore gay characters

OHMYGOSSIP — Darren Criss will not play anymore gay characters.
The ‘Glee’ star – who has previously portrayed LGBTQ characters Blaine Anderson in ‘Glee’ and ‘The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’s Andrew Cunanan – wants to “make sure” he isn’t “another straight boy taking a gay man’s role”.
He told Bustle: “There are certain [queer] roles that I’ll see that are just wonderful. But I want to make sure I won’t be another straight boy taking a gay man’s role … It’s been a real joy. The reason I say that is because getting to play those characters is inherently a wonderful dramatic experience. It has made for very, very compelling and interesting people.”
Meanwhile, Darren previously admitted he loved playing serial killer Cunanan in ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace’.
He explained: “My reaction was, I’d be thrilled to do this. I thought it was something he forgot about and was just spitballing. But he stuck to his word, and I’m so glad he finally decided to do this … People always think that’s some sort of departure, and while I understand that curiosity, I can’t help but feel that same curiosity would be present if I had started with something like this, and this is what you knew me for. People forget that actors are actors, and we depart for a living. We all have more in common not only with each other, but the worst person you can think of than we like to admit. differences are small in number but huge in content. The show explores the best parts of him and the worst parts of him. It’s really a healthy mix of a lot of unhealthy things.”

Jennifer Lopez credits ex Marc Anthony for her confidence

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez says her ex-husband Marc Anthony “really helped” her with her confidence.
The ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker has thanked her former spouse – who she was married to between 2004 and 2014 – for always keeping her positive and confident.
Speaking in a preview clip for her appearance on Sunday’s TODAY, she said: “While I was married to Marc, he really helped me with my confidence, and he saw where I suffered. [He would tell me,] You’re a great singer. Don’t ever let anybody tell you you’re not a great singer. And I respected him so much because I consider him one of the best singers of all time.”
Meanwhile, the 49-year-old singer and actress – who has 10-year-old twins Max and Emme with Marc – previously revealed she managed to “repair” her relationship with her ex after they worked together on her album ‘Por Primera Vez’.
She said: “[Collaborating on ‘Por Primera Vez’] actually kind of repaired certain parts of our relationship that had been fractured from our marriage and our divorce and it kind of made us friends again. Because when we first started working together, it’s how we met … we met working. And so we remembered that like, ‘Oh right, we connect on this level of music.’ We have that. And that’s what the album came out of.”
And Jennifer has confessed she feared she would be “alone forever” after splitting from Marc but she is now happy with retired baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
She shared: “I remember a certain point when I had my kids thinking, ‘I really want to get a house in the Hamptons so they can have a place they go in the summer, that we go to every summer.’ There was something romantic about that to me. After I got divorced and it was a hard time, I said to myself, ‘I’m gonna do that. I’m gonna be like that lady Diane Keaton in ‘Something’s Gotta Give’, just in case I never get married again and I stay alone forever.’ Silly idea.”

Audrina Patridge is divorced

OHMYGOSSIP — Audrina Patridge is officially divorced.
The ‘Hills’ star and her former spouse Corey Bohan were granted a judgment of dissolution on December 19 in Orange County.
It is not yet known what the terms of the agreement are but the pair are said to be keen to take it out of court and instead use a mediator, The Blast reports.
Audrina currently has primary custody of her and Corey’s two-year-old daughter Kirra Max but they are still working out a final custody schedule as well as the amount of child support to be paid.
The former couple have been ordered to stay more than 100 yards from each other at all times “except for the brief and peaceful exchange of the parties’ daughter, Kirra Max Patridge Bohan”.
Audrina and Corey faced another hiccup in their divorce proceedings after Corey filed documents to legally prevent Audrina from featuring their daughter on the upcoming reboot of MTV reality series ‘The Hills’.
Corey requested that “neither party allow the minor child to be filmed or to appear in any reality television production without the express, written consent of the other parent” and “any prior consent for the minor child to appear on ‘The Hills’ reboot to be revoked and proof of revocation to be provided”. He also requested “a specific order restraining Audrina from allowing Kirra to appear on any reality television program including, without limitation, ‘The Hills’ without my prior written consent”.
Corey had previously wrote on his private Instagram account: “I refuse to think it’s ok for our 2yr old daughter Kirra Bohan to be shown & exploited on Reality TV. Not just my child by anyone’s for that matter. This is about our daughter Kirra Bohan (sic)”

The 26-year-old rapper – who has 10-month-old daughter Stormi with his partner Kylie Jenner – dedicates at least once a week, every Saturday, to be with his daughter, even if he’s away on tour.
He said: “We don’t let nothing come over Stormi time. Stormi Saturdays. We don’t f**k around with those. Even with me on tour, Stormi pulls up. She’ll travel. She got more stamps on her passport than a lot of motherf***ers.”
And the ‘Goosebumps’ hitmaker admits that when he found out Kylie was pregnant, he wanted a son but when Stormi was born, he was very happy.
He added to the January issue of Rolling Stone magazine: “At first I was like, ‘Man, I need a son.’ When we found out it was a girl, I was like, ‘Huhhh.’ But after a while I was like, ‘Yo, this might be the illest thing that ever happened.’ And when Stormi was born, I was like, ‘Life is fire, bro.'”
Meanwhile, Travis recently admitted he was so “nervous and scared” in the delivery room but he never realised “he could love something so hard”.
He said: “That is a fact, yeah. She held it down because it was so scary. She walked me through the whole process. There’s this thing called the placenta, that I’ve just been hearing about? Oh my god. So, I was fearful of all that. But I cut the umbilical cord. But, yeah, [Kris] held it down. Mama KJ, she’s the best … Going into it, I was nervous and scared, because we’re both young. But, you know, when you first hold a baby in your arms, it’s uncontrollable. I never thought I could just love something so hard, ya know? It’s crazy.”

Speaking on Friday night’s (21.12.18) episode of The Graham Norton Show, she shared: “I was really shocked. The director called me and there was so much charged energy and preamble in the call that I thought he was about to propose! I was stunned and don’t quite remember quite what I said, but I was 100% yes. Getting the role was the last thing I expected. I was terrified and scared. It was my first entrance in the film that I thought, ‘Wow, this is really happening.'”
Meanwhile, Emily admitted she was “completely shocked” and “slightly terrified” when she found out she was the first choice for Mary Poppins.
Recalling their phone conversation, she said: “He called me, and I’d been friends with him for a while, and I knew there was sort of a different energy behind this phone call, it was so charged and he was so excited to tell me this news. I thought, he’s going to ask me to marry him. This is where I get married to Rob Marshall like it was building towards that. He was like: ‘Emily, we’ve been looking for something to do and we are going to do Mary Poppins.’ I was like speechless I felt my hair sort of blow back. I was just completely shocked and terrified.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Underwood is “cherishing” her last Christmas as a family of three.
The ‘Jesus Take the Wheel’ hitmaker – who already has three-year-old Isaiah with her husband Mike Fisher – is expecting a baby imminently but is looking forward to one last Christmas with just the three of them.
A source told People magazine: “While they’re excited for a family of four, they’re cherishing their last Christmas as a family of three. Unless of course the baby makes an early debut. Meanwhile, Carrie previously admitted she is “so thankful” to be pregnant following three devastating miscarriages.
She shared: “It took us a while to get here … I’m gonna cry again. [I’m] just so thankful to find out Isaiah’s gonna have a baby brother. It was just great news. We’re excited … Balance is what it’s all about, no matter what your job is. Being a mom, working and dividing your time. It’s what we all have to do as mothers.”
Carrie had previously revealed she had endured three miscarriages in the last two years, and said she was left feeling “angry” by the ordeal.
She said: “I had always been afraid to be angry. Because we are so blessed. And my son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing. And he’s the best thing in the world. And I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s okay, because he’s amazing.’ And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No. [But after the miscarriages,] I got mad. [I thought], ‘Why on Earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can’t have a kid?’ Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door or let me have a kid.”

Lil Xan praises ex Noah Cyrus

OHMYGOSSIP — Lil Xan thinks his ex Noah Cyrus is one of the best artists out there.
The ‘Live or Die’ hitmaker is convinced his former girlfriend and Billie Eilish are going to make it big as singers but he insists his kind comments are not him “trying to get her back”.
He wrote: “i genuinely think these 2 are some of the best not only female artist but in general coming up rn ! … Yes i know things got sloppy but i see the world so clear now! … And everybody stop with all the ‘your tryna get her back’. It’s not like that i just don’t see the need for drama or fighting and their both genuinely good people! and when i say coming up i don’t mean i’m a f**king bigger artist jeez haha (sic)”
Lil Xan previously admitted he blames himself for his split from Noah.
He shared: “Honest to God, I would say like most of the reason the breakup happened was because of me. It was my fault. We could have still been together, but I just feel like I f***ed everything up! It also put me in a darker place because I was getting slammed left and right.”
The 22-year-old rapper started chatting to the singer when he “slid into” her online inbox at the beginning of the year and bonded over their love for making music.
Noah said: “Xan slid into the DMs. It works people. Actually, it didn’t work. He DMed me like in February and I didn’t see it for months and then I saw that he was following me and I was like, ‘Lil Xan, cool, he’s following me. I’ll follow him back.’ And then I saw his DM and we’re just hanging out making music.”
