Lily Collins: Honesty has changed my life

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Collins thinks her new-found honesty has transformed her life.
The 29-year-old actress – who suffered from an eating disorder during her teenage years – spoke openly about her fears in her 2017 book ‘Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me’, and Lily thinks it marked a turning point in her life.
Lily – who is the daughter of Phil Collins and his second wife, Jill Tavelman – explained: “We have all got our problems and our issues, OMG of course! The second that you’re honest and you talk about the things you feel shame towards, all of that goes away.”
Lily said that with her 30th birthday on the horizon, she felt a need to “get rid of the baggage” in her life.
Appearing on UK TV show ‘Lorraine’, the ‘Mirror Mirror’ star said: “At the end of the day, none of us are alone, and I realised before I could take on the baggage of another character I needed to get rid of the baggage of myself. I’m 30 next year!”
Earlier this month, Lily revealed she “never wanted” to be famous because of her father, who is one of the best-selling musicians of all time.
Lily insisted she wanted to make sure her success was “defined” by her own talents, rather than because of her connections.
Speaking about her determination to prove herself, Lily – who has also been acclaimed for her modelling work – explained: “Growing up I never wanted that to be a part of my story. Obviously I’m super-proud of my dad; I love my dad, I’m grateful for all the things I’ve learned, but it’s also something I wanted to define as my own.
“I always wanted to do it myself and for myself.”

Caroline Flack: Performing helps with anxiety

OHMYGOSSIP — Caroline Flack says performing takes away her anxiety.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ champion – who won the BBC ballroom competition in 2014 – explained she doesn’t get nervous when she’s kept busy, and that it’s the quiet time between projects when she becomes more anxious.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, she said: “The anxiety I get more when I’m not working. So actually work, for me, takes away my anxiety and doing live TV, in that moment when you’re consumed by something else, it takes away all of my thoughts. It distracts you! So actually being on stage, I’m less nervous than I am just being me.”
Earlier this month, the 39-year-old TV presenter revealed her mental health problems started just days after she was crowned the winner of ‘Strictly’ four years ago, and she was prescribed anti-depressants while hosting ‘The X Factor’ in 2015.
Caroline’s doctor recommended citalopram – used to treat depression and panic attacks – but the drugs left her feeling “numb” and she quit them after six months.
She opened up: “People see the celebrity lifestyle and assume everything is perfect, but we’re just like everyone else. Everyone is battling something emotional behind closed doors — that’s life. Fame doesn’t make you happy. Anti-depressants helped me get up in the morning, and stopped me from being sad, but what they also do is stop you from being happy.
“So I was just in this numb state. I stopped laughing at jokes, and that’s just not me. I came off them after six months, as I realised feeling something was better than feeling nothing at all.”
Caroline also explained that her on/off romance with Andrew Brady, 28, is currently off, explaining that although they have a “passionate, raw love”, they need to be happy with themselves before they can be together again.

EastEnders boss Oliver Kent leaving the BBC

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ boss Oliver Kent is leaving the BBC.
Kent has decided to step down from his role as the Head of Continuing Drama for BBC Studios – a job which means he oversees ‘EastEnders’, Holby City’, ‘Casualty’ and ‘Doctors’ – after more than 20 years with the corporation to explore new career opportunities.
Mark Linsey, Chief Creative Officer for BBC Studios, has confirmed his departure and thanked Kent for his huge contribution to those shows and his commitment to making the BBC “more diverse and inclusive”.
He told DigitalSpy: “We would like to thank Ollie for his significant contribution to BBC Studios’ continuing drama. Under his watch we have seen some huge programmes, fantastic storylines, incredible one-offs and numerous awards. During his time in role, he oversaw the successful win of two tenders, securing ‘Holby City’ and ‘Doctors’ within the BBC Studios portfolio. In addition, his commitment to making BBC Studios and our programmes more diverse and inclusive must be recognised and celebrated. We wish him all the best for the future.”
Kent – who first joined the BBC in 1996 – also oversaw Scottish soap, ‘River City’, in the two years he had in the role.
Prior to his stint as Head of Continuing Drama, Kent had worked as the Executive Producer on ‘Holby City’ and ‘Casualty’ from 2013.
Former ‘Coronation Street’ boss Kate Oates recently took over as Senior Executive Producer on ‘EastEnders’, ‘Casualty’ and ‘Holby City’ and she will report to the new Head of Continuing Drama once a person has been appointed.

Harvey Weinstein judge rejects bid to dismiss sexual assault case

OHMYGOSSIP — A judge has rejected Harvey Weinstein’s efforts to have sexual assault charges dismissed.
The 66-year-old film producer and his attorneys had attempted to have the charges dismissed, but Judge James Burke rebuffed the request at a court room in New York on Thursday (20.12.18).
Weinstein has been charged with raping a woman in a hotel room in March 2013, while he’s also been charged with forcibly performing oral sex on another woman in 2006.
Weinstein’s lawyers had argued that the case had been “irreparably tainted” by the conduct of Detective Nicholas DiGaudio, who has been accused by the producer’s camp of interfering with a witness and an accuser.
But, according to prosecutors, there is “ample evidence” for Weinstein to stand trial.
The prosecutors have also insisted DiGaudio’s alleged behaviour hasn’t tainted the case.
Weinstein has denied the allegations of non-consensual sex.
Meanwhile, the movie mogul recently admitted he’s experienced “the worst nightmare” of his life over the last 12 months.
Weinstein has been exiled from Hollywood after being accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women after an expose was published in the New York Times newspaper in October 2017.
In an email sent out to several people he previously worked with, he wrote: “I’ve had one hell of a year… The worst nightmare of my life. As you can see from these articles, the police have played a very difficult role in my investigation. All 3 police officers have either been retired or repositioned from the SVU. The articles are self explanatory but I’d like to speak to you on the phone if you have some time.
“There is more to this story… I appreciate your confidentiality.
“Have a read of these articles. I wish I didn’t have to ask but I’d be very appreciative of your time.
“Best, Harvey (sic)”

Richard Madden predicts gruesome Game of Thrones ending

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Madden doesn’t think any characters will survive the ‘Game Of Thrones’ finale.
The 32-year-old actor – who played Rob Stark on the show before his character was brutally murdered in the infamous ‘Red Wedding’ episode – confessed that he thinks when the fantasy series comes to an end next year, none of the main cast from the hit HBO show will make it through alive.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, he said: “I kind of think it’s just going to be three dragons flying around and everyone else is dead. It’s a possibility!”
The ‘Cinderella’ star went on to admit that since his stint on the show ended, he’s become an avid viewer if the drama and enjoys not knowing what’s to come in the episode.
He said: “I kind of don’t recognise that I was in it anymore because I’ve been watching so many years of it and they talk about Robb Stark and I know who he is but I don’t see myself in that role.
“I’m just a viewer now, which is so good. That was one of the bad things about being in the show is you got the scripts so you knew what was going to happen next, and I’ve not had that for years, so now I can just truly enjoy it as a viewer, which is thrilling.”
Despite his time on ‘Game of Thrones’ coming to a grizzly end in the show’s season 4 finale, the actor recently landed another huge role starring in the hit BBC One drama ‘The Bodyguard’ and the actor – who played personal protection officer David Budd – recently confirmed he is set to start talks of his own regarding a second season.

Vernon Kay banned Tess Daly from buying him clothes for Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Tess Daly revealed that Vernon Kay has banned her from buying him clothes for Christmas.
The 49-year-old television presenter has insisted that “men are the hardest to shop for” and admitted that her husband – who she shares daughters Phoebe, 14, and nine-year-old Amber with – is sick of her giving him shirts and shoes.
Speaking to the Sun Online, she said: “Men are the hardest to shop for. I did have a list from Vernon and he said, ‘Well, don’t buy me any more clothes please.’
“That’s because I end up buying him some closed shirts and shoes, and he’s like ‘no, I don’t need any more of them thanks very much.”
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host confessed that this year she’s sticking to buying her husband “boys toys”.
“So I’ve switched now, probably something to do with golf. Men love boys toys, mini drones, anything that flies.
“So I’m still looking. Men are difficult to shop for. We need an app for them that leads us in the right direction.”
The former model went on to detail how she and her family will spend Christmas day, and said that her kids “love Christmas” however aren’t keen on all the food.
She said: “We will probably have nine people, we’ll prep the veg the night before because on the day I don’t like missing out on the fun and the party games, and present opening. Kids love routine.
“My kids love Christmas… ‘Mum we will have carols, we will play with Grandma, we will have roast turkey and Brussels sprouts.’
“I say ‘but you hate Brussels sprouts’ … and they say ‘but I love them at Christmas. I love Christmas, it’s my favourite time of the year.”

Sandra Bullock’s life lessons

OHMYGOSSIP — Sandra Bullock has learned this year that “life happens whether you schedule it or not”.
The ‘Blind Side’ star was devastated when she lost her father in September and then her pet pooches a few days later and admits it has taught her that life doesn’t wait.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she said: “Life, I realised, happens whether you schedule it or not. That just blew my mind this year. My dad died, and then while my dad was failing, we get a call from the nanny that our dog, Ruby, the two-legger, had a stroke. And I’m like, ‘What, what?’ I was like, ‘Just put her on life support. Do something.’ And they go, ‘We can’t. She’s suffering.’ So I was like, ‘OK, there’s a reason for this.’ Dad’s settled. We fly home. [A few days later,] the nanny comes into the room. She’s got a look on her face. I’m like, ‘What did the kids do?’ She’s like, ‘I need to speak to you in the bedroom.’ And I was like, ‘OK,’ and she goes, ‘Your other dog has a heart tumour, and she’s going to die in three days.’ So, you know what, it’s life. But, you know, when you lose your little rides-or-die, it makes things different.”
Meanwhile, Sandra – who has Louis, eight, and Laila, six – previously confessed she is “a little neurotic” when it comes to her kids and admits she can be overprotective.
She said: “I now realise what it feels like to be afraid every single day because I love my kids to the point where I’m a little neurotic, in what’s happening out in the world, and am I a good mother? When you leave the house and they go to school, I check my phone constantly, did the school call, is something, are you gonna get hurt, if they’re leaving with somebody else, I panic. I have to learn how to relax within a world that spins that kind of worry and remind myself and my children that it is also a hopeful place.”

Travis Scott will marry Kylie Jenner soon

OHMYGOSSIP — Travis Scott will marry Kylie Jenner “soon”.
The ‘Butterfly Effect’ hitmaker insists he will be tying the knot with the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star as soon as he can but he has to “propose in a fire way” first.
He said: “We was just two kids, f***ing around. Maybe, like, the first week, you don’t know if it’s real or a fling. Then the second week you’re like, ‘Whoa, I’m still talking to her, she’s responding, I’m responding. We ain’t run out of a thing to say.’ And it got to a point where I was like, ‘I need her with me to operate. She’s that one.’ We’ll get married soon. I just gotta sturdy up – I gotta propose in a fire way.”
And the 26-year-old rapper thinks there is a big misconception about how “real” Kylie is just because she is so famous.
He told the January issue of Rolling Stone magazine: “People don’t understand how real my girl is. How ill she is. They have assumptions, bulls**t-ass remarks of what they think is going on. Nah, bro. She’s a Tim Burton fan, which is fire. Wes Anderson fan, which is fire. I like to just go outside and walk. Knowing a girl that famous, you’d think she’s like, ‘I need to go send somebody to do this for me,’ or ‘I need 15 motherf***ers around me,’ but we just walk out the crib. Me, I hate cameras. I don’t like people in my business. Going into a situation like that, you’d think it would be a whole public fest. You never know. ‘Maybe she’s into all the photos, or worried about this and that.’ And then you realise she is normal as possible. I realised what really mattered to her, which is none of this s**t. She’s the coolest motherf***er of all time.”

Jennifer Lopez credits ex Marc Anthony for her confidence

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez says her ex-husband Marc Anthony “really helped” her with her confidence.
The ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker has thanked her former spouse – who she was married to between 2004 and 2014 – for always keeping her positive and confident.
Speaking in a preview clip for her appearance on Sunday’s TODAY, she said: “While I was married to Marc, he really helped me with my confidence, and he saw where I suffered. [He would tell me,] You’re a great singer. Don’t ever let anybody tell you you’re not a great singer. And I respected him so much because I consider him one of the best singers of all time.”
Meanwhile, the 49-year-old singer and actress – who has 10-year-old twins Max and Emme with Marc – previously revealed she managed to “repair” her relationship with her ex after they worked together on her album ‘Por Primera Vez’.
She said: “[Collaborating on ‘Por Primera Vez’] actually kind of repaired certain parts of our relationship that had been fractured from our marriage and our divorce and it kind of made us friends again. Because when we first started working together, it’s how we met … we met working. And so we remembered that like, ‘Oh right, we connect on this level of music.’ We have that. And that’s what the album came out of.”
And Jennifer has confessed she feared she would be “alone forever” after splitting from Marc but she is now happy with retired baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
She shared: “I remember a certain point when I had my kids thinking, ‘I really want to get a house in the Hamptons so they can have a place they go in the summer, that we go to every summer.’ There was something romantic about that to me. After I got divorced and it was a hard time, I said to myself, ‘I’m gonna do that. I’m gonna be like that lady Diane Keaton in ‘Something’s Gotta Give’, just in case I never get married again and I stay alone forever.’ Silly idea.”

Audrina Patridge is divorced

OHMYGOSSIP — Audrina Patridge is officially divorced.
The ‘Hills’ star and her former spouse Corey Bohan were granted a judgment of dissolution on December 19 in Orange County.
It is not yet known what the terms of the agreement are but the pair are said to be keen to take it out of court and instead use a mediator, The Blast reports.
Audrina currently has primary custody of her and Corey’s two-year-old daughter Kirra Max but they are still working out a final custody schedule as well as the amount of child support to be paid.
The former couple have been ordered to stay more than 100 yards from each other at all times “except for the brief and peaceful exchange of the parties’ daughter, Kirra Max Patridge Bohan”.
Audrina and Corey faced another hiccup in their divorce proceedings after Corey filed documents to legally prevent Audrina from featuring their daughter on the upcoming reboot of MTV reality series ‘The Hills’.
Corey requested that “neither party allow the minor child to be filmed or to appear in any reality television production without the express, written consent of the other parent” and “any prior consent for the minor child to appear on ‘The Hills’ reboot to be revoked and proof of revocation to be provided”. He also requested “a specific order restraining Audrina from allowing Kirra to appear on any reality television program including, without limitation, ‘The Hills’ without my prior written consent”.
Corey had previously wrote on his private Instagram account: “I refuse to think it’s ok for our 2yr old daughter Kirra Bohan to be shown & exploited on Reality TV. Not just my child by anyone’s for that matter. This is about our daughter Kirra Bohan (sic)”

Travis Scott loves Stormi time

OHMYGOSSIP — Travis Scott won’t let anything get in the way of “Stormi time”.
The 26-year-old rapper – who has 10-month-old daughter Stormi with his partner Kylie Jenner – dedicates at least once a week, every Saturday, to be with his daughter, even if he’s away on tour.
He said: “We don’t let nothing come over Stormi time. Stormi Saturdays. We don’t f**k around with those. Even with me on tour, Stormi pulls up. She’ll travel. She got more stamps on her passport than a lot of motherf***ers.”
And the ‘Goosebumps’ hitmaker admits that when he found out Kylie was pregnant, he wanted a son but when Stormi was born, he was very happy.
He added to the January issue of Rolling Stone magazine: “At first I was like, ‘Man, I need a son.’ When we found out it was a girl, I was like, ‘Huhhh.’ But after a while I was like, ‘Yo, this might be the illest thing that ever happened.’ And when Stormi was born, I was like, ‘Life is fire, bro.'”
Meanwhile, Travis recently admitted he was so “nervous and scared” in the delivery room but he never realised “he could love something so hard”.
He said: “That is a fact, yeah. She held it down because it was so scary. She walked me through the whole process. There’s this thing called the placenta, that I’ve just been hearing about? Oh my god. So, I was fearful of all that. But I cut the umbilical cord. But, yeah, [Kris] held it down. Mama KJ, she’s the best … Going into it, I was nervous and scared, because we’re both young. But, you know, when you first hold a baby in your arms, it’s uncontrollable. I never thought I could just love something so hard, ya know? It’s crazy.”

Meryl and Emily worked together on ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ and Emily admits she was “shocked” to be cast in the film.
Speaking on Friday night’s (21.12.18) episode of The Graham Norton Show, she shared: “I was really shocked. The director called me and there was so much charged energy and preamble in the call that I thought he was about to propose! I was stunned and don’t quite remember quite what I said, but I was 100% yes. Getting the role was the last thing I expected. I was terrified and scared. It was my first entrance in the film that I thought, ‘Wow, this is really happening.'”
Meanwhile, Emily admitted she was “completely shocked” and “slightly terrified” when she found out she was the first choice for Mary Poppins.
Recalling their phone conversation, she said: “He called me, and I’d been friends with him for a while, and I knew there was sort of a different energy behind this phone call, it was so charged and he was so excited to tell me this news. I thought, he’s going to ask me to marry him. This is where I get married to Rob Marshall like it was building towards that. He was like: ‘Emily, we’ve been looking for something to do and we are going to do Mary Poppins.’ I was like speechless I felt my hair sort of blow back. I was just completely shocked and terrified.”

At the time, she wrote on Instagram: “Mood lol (I was looking at myself in the mirror -like an idiot!) Update: taking a social media break. Again. The ‘Wolves’ singer previously took to the social media app to tell her followers she would be stepping away from the spotlight for a while in order to work on improving her mental health.

The ‘Jesus Take the Wheel’ hitmaker – who already has three-year-old Isaiah with her husband Mike Fisher – is expecting a baby imminently but is looking forward to one last Christmas with just the three of them.
A source told People magazine: “While they’re excited for a family of four, they’re cherishing their last Christmas as a family of three. Unless of course the baby makes an early debut. Carrie is on lockdown until the baby. They’re fully moved into the Leiper’s Fork house and have the hospital route mapped out.”
Meanwhile, Carrie previously admitted she is “so thankful” to be pregnant following three devastating miscarriages.
She shared: “It took us a while to get here … I’m gonna cry again. [I’m] just so thankful to find out Isaiah’s gonna have a baby brother. It was just great news. We’re excited … Balance is what it’s all about, no matter what your job is. Being a mom, working and dividing your time. It’s what we all have to do as mothers.”
Carrie had previously revealed she had endured three miscarriages in the last two years, and said she was left feeling “angry” by the ordeal.
She said: “I had always been afraid to be angry. Because we are so blessed. And my son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing. And he’s the best thing in the world. And I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s okay, because he’s amazing.’ And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No. [But after the miscarriages,] I got mad. [I thought], ‘Why on Earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can’t have a kid?’ Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door or let me have a kid.”

Darren Criss won’t play anymore gay characters

The ‘Glee’ star – who has previously portrayed LGBTQ characters Blaine Anderson in ‘Glee’ and ‘The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’s Andrew Cunanan – wants to “make sure” he isn’t “another straight boy taking a gay man’s role”.
He told Bustle: “There are certain [queer] roles that I’ll see that are just wonderful. But I want to make sure I won’t be another straight boy taking a gay man’s role … It’s been a real joy. The reason I say that is because getting to play those characters is inherently a wonderful dramatic experience. It has made for very, very compelling and interesting people.”
Meanwhile, Darren previously admitted he loved playing serial killer Cunanan in ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace’.
He explained: “My reaction was, I’d be thrilled to do this. I thought it was something he forgot about and was just spitballing. But he stuck to his word, and I’m so glad he finally decided to do this … People always think that’s some sort of departure, and while I understand that curiosity, I can’t help but feel that same curiosity would be present if I had started with something like this, and this is what you knew me for. People forget that actors are actors, and we depart for a living. We all have more in common not only with each other, but the worst person you can think of than we like to admit. differences are small in number but huge in content. The show explores the best parts of him and the worst parts of him. It’s really a healthy mix of a lot of unhealthy things.”

Sheridan Smith says farming donkeys is her ‘sanity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sheridan Smith says farming donkeys is her “sanity”.
The 37-year-old singer-and-actress recently moved to a farm in the countryside with her fiance Jamie Horn – on which they have four donkeys, two goats and two pigs – and she admitted the hoofed mammals help to keep her grounded and “away from the madness”.
She said: “We’ve got our little farm with my donkeys. It’s my little bit of sanity away from the madness, to be honest.”
Sheridan met Jamie on Tinder after creating an account on the dating app because she wanted a bit of “normality”, and she admits pair “just clicked”.
Speaking on the upcoming Christmas special of the ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, she added: “It’s difficult now isn’t it and I think, we’re always working with people in the industry and I wanted a bit of normality.
“I don’t ever get to meet anyone who is not in the industry, not that that’s bad but I just really wanted someone away from that and that’s what I’ve got.
“I met him and I just, they say you know instantly and I’ve always been a bit like, ‘Oh come on,’ but I don’t know, we just clicked and suddenly it just wasn’t difficult anymore.”
Sheridan was left devastated when her beloved father Colin passed away in 2016, and she recently admitted losing her dad sparked a “massive meltdown” that resulted in her “losing the plot”.
She said: “I kind of lost the plot after that and had a massive meltdown.
“I ran away. There’s that kind of northern, ‘Keep calm and carry on’ vibe – we’re all like that.
“I feel I’ve come out the other side now.”
