Black Mirror special revealed by Netflix?

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Black Mirror’ looks set to return with a feature length episode this month.
Fans of Charlie Brooker’s dystopian anthology series are eagerly awaiting the show’s fifth season before the end of 2018, but now it appears there could be something special coming to Netflix.
As reported by Esquire, if you search for ‘Bandersnatch’ on the streaming service’s mobile app, there is a tease for the upcoming special with the tagline: “Be right back.”
The running time is listed as 90 minutes, which would just be enough to make it the longest ever episode (‘Hated in the Nation’ was 89 minutes).
The cryptic development comes after Miley Cyrus revealed she will be appearing in the show’s fifth season.
Opening up about filming during the Californian wildfires last month, she recently said: “There’s a lot of dimension to it, and actually it was while the devastation of Malibu was happening, and it was a really weird learning experience for me because I was so far from home and the show is already really dark, and it’s already kind of eerie when you’re there the whole time.
“But I learned a lot about myself, and I think I was able to use that and put that into it.”
Meanwhile, Brooker himself has been forced to silence fans’ speculation about the upcoming episodes, and shut down the idea of a sequel to ‘San Junipero’.
He previously explained: “I wouldn’t necessarily want to revisit those characters, because we’re very happy with where they ended up and their story.
“But that’s not to say that we couldn’t revisit that world, if there was a compelling reason to do so.”

Nadine Mulkerrin still in shock at Rory Douglas-Speed proposal

OHMYGOSSIP — Nadine Mulkerrin “cannot believe” Rory Douglas-Speed wants to marry her.
The 25-year-old actress was in shock when her ‘Hollyoaks’ co-star popped the question last weekend in Amsterdam, and after having time to reflect on his proposal she is still surprised he wants to tie the knot.
She wrote on Instagram: “Sorry for the soppy lovey doveyness*** Thank you for the best weekend of my life @rorydouglasspeed
I can’t believe you actually want to marry me and all my wind.And to all my beautiful friends and family, to everyone who have wished us well I love you all lots !! My heart could burst (sic)”
Nadine – who plays Cleo McQueen on the Channel 4 soap – was also shocked to find Rory (Joel Dexter) kept her engagement ring in his jeans drawer to keep it a secret from her before his proposal.
She added: “P.s I cannot actually believe you kept the ring in your jean drawer!! (sic)”
Rory revealed earlier this week he had popped the question to Nadine in Holland.
He wrote on Instagram: “She said yes!! Swipe for reaction >>> (sic)”
Rory shared a picture of the raven-haired beauty holding up her hand to reveal her engagement ring, and also a short clip of her punching and kicking the air in sheer delight after he asked her to marry him.
Nadine posted pictures of herself showing off her engagement band alongside Rory in a photobooth, and she added the caption: “Yes. @rorydouglasspeed (sic)”
The real-life couple filmed their characters’ Cleo and Joel’s wedding ceremony just weeks ago, but it didn’t end well when Cleo suffered a heart attack before the ceremony was complete.

Stephanie Davis accidentally poisons boyfriend with raw chicken

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis accidentally poisoned herself and her boyfriend by serving up a dish of raw chicken.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress was attempting to cook a romantic meal for her co-star Owen Warner but it was only when he was halfway through his dinner that he realised the poultry was raw, and he took to his Instagram Stories to document the events, which included sound effects of Steph vomiting.
Owen – who plays Romeo Quinn on the Channel 4 soap – said on the clip: “So, Steph cooked us a lovely meal. That looks very nice.
“I’m halfway through mine, then I peel back this and see that the chicken is raw.
“Can you hear that in the background? You alright Steph?”
Steph later composed herself to take to her own Insta Stories to reveal the chicken didn’t cook because her oven was set too low.
The 25-year-old star said: “I called my mum … It’s because I had the oven on too low.
“I’ve been sick. It took me absolutely ages to cook that.
“Owen’s been sick now. I told him to be sick.
“I tried though.”
She also shared a picture of Owen hugging the toilet, and posted a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation with her mum.
In the chat, she wrote: “Oh god mum. Can it get any worse. I don’t feel well, keep thinking of when I chewed into it mum… he ate most of it….
“Will I be okay? Stomachs in bits from vomming! Xx (sic)”
Steph – who plays Sinead Shelby in ‘Hollyoaks’ – and Owen’s relationship was recently confirmed.
A spokesman for the actress said: “They are in a relationship and they are very happy.”

Liam Gallagher’s second LP will be released before September

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher will release his second studio album before September 2019.
The former Oasis rocker is working on the follow-up to his chart topping solo debut ‘As You Were’, and he hit out at press speculation before confirming his plans.
He tweeted: “F**k those old farts… they know f**k all about my moves it’ll be bfore September trust me (sic)”
His post came after Liam revealed he was in the studio as he praised his fans for their support.
He wrote: “Back in the studio tday for a few more hits on the bong I love and adore you all as you were LG x (sic)”
Meanwhile, the ‘Wonderwall’ hitmaker has also angrily hit out at his brother Noel, 51, over a previous quote that his sibling wouldn’t do a reunion “even if the starving children in the world needed it”.
When a fan suggested the family feud had run its course, he responded: “Just putting the little c*** straight sorry if that upsets you as you were x”
The 51-year-old star’s comments were in response to a recent interview in which he claimed Liam’s calls for an Oasis comeback were “for his ego”.
He said: “Liam wants to do it for his ego – he never gave a shit about the fans… He wouldn’t have walked off stage 25 times in his career if he gave a s*** about the fans.”
Noel added that Liam’s jibes towards his wife Sara MacDonald on Twitter – which have seen the ‘Songbird’ songwriter call his sister-in-law a “witch” – have ruined the chances of there ever being a reunion.
He insisted: “That thing about my kids and my wife. No way. If I had 50 quid (pounds) left in my pocket I’d rather go busking. No way, I can’t do it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Alba is on a pre-Christmas detox.
The ‘Little Fockers’ star has decided to have a cleanse before indulging in a festive feast over the holiday season and has turned to nutritionist Kimberly Snyder for a healthy menu.
Speaking on her Instagram Story, she said: “2 days into @kimberlysnyder Custom cleanse -and I’m feeling pretty ok … This cleansing soup is next level (awesome). I needed a bit of a detox/reset before Xmas (sic)”
Jessica – who has three children, daughters Honor, 10, and Haven, seven, and 11-month-old son Hayes – is following a strict diet and has eliminated animal protein, dairy, alcohol and gluten from her menu as she re-balances her body.
The ‘Sin City’ star is starting each day with a “green smoothie” for breakfast, then having a “protein smoothie” for lunch and finishing off the day with her “yummy veggie soup” for dinner and is drinking “green juice” in between meals and lots of water to keep her energised and hydrated.
Jessica is determined to stick to this detox because her previous attempts to go on a cleanse have ended in failure.
She revealed: “Her challenge or rather my challenge is … I’ve never been able to stick to a cleanse. If I last 5 days -w (with) slight modifications, I feel pretty good about that. Just being realistic”.
As well as enjoying Christmas with her family, Jessica and Cash will also be celebrating their son Hayes’ first birthday on New Year’s Eve (31.12.18).

Taylor Schilling ready for new chapter in her career

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Schilling is excited to start a new chapter in her career after the final season of ‘Orange Is The New Black’ airs in 2019.
The 34-year-old actress has played her inmate character Piper Chapman for 78 episodes since the Netflix prison drama series began in 2013, and she feels ready to say goodbye to her alter ego.
Taylor has already signed up for a number of projects, including the forthcoming thriller ‘The Prodigy’, in which she plays a mother concerned about her son’s bizarre behaviour which she thinks is the result of a supernatural entity, and she is excited about roles may come her way.
Speaking to Story + Rain magazine, she said: “This is a huge part of my life. I was young. I was 27, just so little! What I hope for Piper is that she lives on in perpetuity. That she finds some freedom, some self-acceptance.
“It’s been really interesting playing a character that has not found any internal resting point. With a lot of gratitude, is how I’d like to say goodbye. And this is a huge new chapter. I have a few projects coming out this spring – Orion Pictures’ thriller ‘The Prodigy’, and the Film Arcade comedy ‘Family’. And then I think I’m going to just be very quiet for a minute and see what enters, as opposed to chasing it.”
Taylor also confessed that getting to know her character was “a magical moment” and loved seeing her journey develop over the show’s seven seasons.
She said: “It was such a magical moment to get to know Piper and then bring her on a granular level into this different space. It’s progressively shifted, but there was some weird lightning in a bottle that first season where we were creating her memoir, embodying her soul – talk about magic in the mix.”

Mark Wahlberg hails Penny Marshall ‘one of a kind’

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Wahlberg has hailed the late Penny Marshall “one of a kind”.
The ‘Laverne & Shirley’ star – who was the younger sister of the late writer, producer, and director Garry Marshall – passed away on Monday (17.12.18) after suffering complications from diabetes at the age of 75.
The 47-year-old actor has Penny to thank for launching his Hollywood career after she handed him his first major movie role as Private Tommy Lee Haywood in 1994 comedy ‘Renaissance Man’, alongside Danny DeVito (Bill Rago).
Speaking for the first time since the director-and-actress’ passing, Wahlberg told The Blast: “Oh God, Penny … I was thinking about how much Penny did for me and gave me my first acting job and everything she did for me,’ he reflected with a solemn tone.
“I thought about the long list of how many people she helped, found, discovered, inspired and took to another level.
“Love her and miss her, she was the best, she was one of a kind.”
When the ‘Mile 22’ star first heard the news, he wrote on Twitter: “Rest in peace, Penny. Such a wonderful, funny and talented lady. Without her support and encouragement, I would not be where I am today. She will be missed. #PennyMarshall (sic)”
A host of stars have paid tribute to Penny, including Rosie O’Donnell, Busy Philipps and Melissa Joan Hart.
Rosie shared the YouTube video for a K-Mart commercial she starred in alongside Penny.
Posting the video link on Twitter, the 56-year-old comedian wrote: “simply heartbroken #ripPENNY (sic)”
Whilst actress Busy tweeted: “Oh Penny Marshall. Rest In Peace and thank you for everything. (sic)”
Melissa took to Instagram to mourn the loss of the ‘A League of Their Own’ director, as she praised Penny for being a “special role model” to female comedians.
She captioned an old picture of Penny: “Heartbroken to learn that #PennyMarshall has passed away!! The Marshall family holds a special place in my heart for being so kind and creative and encouraging to other artists. But she was a special role model for female comedians like myself. #RIP #ThankYou (sic)”
‘Stranger Things’ actor Sean Astin also tweeted his condolences to Penny’s family and friends, as he said he was thinking of her “brilliant moments” whilst sitting on a sit-com set himself.
He wrote: “I got to stay up late-after Happy Days-2 watch Laverne & Shirley. So sad 2 learn that Penny Marshall has passed. Sitting on a sit-com set 40 years later, thinking about milk & pepsi, rodeo-doh-doh-doh & so many of her brilliant moments. Love to her family, friends & our town… (sic)”
Shortly after news of her passing broke, Penny’s family released a brief statement saying they were “heartbroken” by the loss.
They said: “Our family is heartbroken over the passing of Penny Marshall.”

Steve McQueen: I experience racism every day

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve McQueen experiences racism on a daily basis.
The 49-year-old director has revealed he faces prejudice all the time, and Steve thinks the situation has worsened since Britain voted to leave the European Union in 2016.
Asked whether he has personally experienced more racism since Brexit, the ‘Widows’ director said: “Every day, mate. Yes, of course! Wolves come in sheep’s clothing. You deal with it. You have to or you go mad. So long as you put one foot in front of the other, you’re good.”
Steve believes the public need to recognise the power and influence they can potentially wield.
The Academy Award-winning filmmaker also thinks cinema can help to bring social issues into the spotlight.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “We really do have the power.
“As individuals we don’t, but as a collective, absolutely we do. We can change the course of events. Sometimes we just need a reminder – and cinema is one of those tools that can actually do that.”
Meanwhile, Viola Davis recently admitted she was thrilled when Steve asked her to embrace her natural Afro hair in ‘Widows’.
The acclaimed actress – who stars in the drama movie about a group of women who attempt a heist – said: “You’re always taught as a person of colour to not like your hair.
“The kinkier it is, the so-called nappier it is, the uglier it is. We’re into a zeitgeist where people are fighting for their space to be seen. People have to know that there are different types of women of colour.
“We’re not all Foxy Brown. We’re not all brown or light-skinned beauties with a big Afro. We have the girl next door. We have the older, dark-skinned, natural-haired woman.”

Emily Blunt says Mary Poppins offer was ‘like a marriage proposal’

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt says the offer to play Mary Poppins was like a marriage proposal.
The 35-year-old actress – who is married to fellow Hollywood star John Krasinski – has opened up about the circumstances surrounding her casting in ‘Mary Poppins Returns’, admitting it was a career-changing moment.
She recalled: “It was like [director Rob Marshall] was about to propose to me! Then when he said it’s Mary Poppins, I was like, ‘Oh my God’.
“I like to imagine he got down on one knee. But Mary Poppins is a big deal for all of us – we all had to approach it with a sense of courage.
“We have waited 54 years to see her come back out of the clouds so we very much wanted to walk that fine line between paying homage and being the next chapter and bringing the spirit of the first one.
“We had to think how we make our version our own and a standalone spectacle on its own, that people can watch for generations to come.”
Emily was intent on making her version of the iconic nanny distinct from Dame Julie Andrews’ performance in 1964’s ‘Mary Poppins’.
Dick Van Dyke – who starred in the original movie – makes a cameo appearance in ‘Mary Poppins Returns’, but Andrews declined the chance to appear in the film.
Speaking to the Irish News, Emily explained: “I really understand why she didn’t want to be in it and it means a lot to me that she chose to not do it in the way that she did.
“She said she just didn’t want it to be her show, she wanted it to be my show, and I thought it was so gracious and so sweet and I understand that need to preserve and treasure that iconic image we all have of her. I really get that.”

Will Smith says Aladdin will pay homage to Robin Williams

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Smith’s version of the Genie in his ‘Aladdin’ remake will pay “homage” to the late Robin Williams.
The 50-year-old actor has assumed the role of the Genie in the upcoming live-action film, and Will has admitted he initially found playing the character – who Williams voiced in the 1992 ‘Aladdin’ movie – to be a daunting prospect.
He confessed: “Whenever you’re doing things that are iconic, it’s always terrifying. The question is always: where was there meat left on the bone? Robin didn’t leave a lot of meat on the bone with the character.”
But, over time, Will developed a confidence that he could deliver something that was a homage to Williams but was also musically different.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Will added: “Just the flavour of the character would be different enough and unique enough that it would be in a different lane, versus trying to compete.”
The upcoming film also stars the likes of Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud.
And according to Will, working on the Guy Ritchie-directed project was “one of the greatest film-making experiences” of his career.
He said: “I have worked at most of the studios, and Disney just knows what they are doing.
“It was really a spectacular team of people that came together around a classic story. It’s so spectacular, it’s such a beautiful movie and I can’t wait for people to see it.”

EastEnders boss Oliver Kent leaving the BBC

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ boss Oliver Kent is leaving the BBC.
Kent has decided to step down from his role as the Head of Continuing Drama for BBC Studios – a job which means he oversees ‘EastEnders’, Holby City’, ‘Casualty’ and ‘Doctors’ – after more than 20 years with the corporation to explore new career opportunities.
Mark Linsey, Chief Creative Officer for BBC Studios, has confirmed his departure and thanked Kent for his huge contribution to those shows and his commitment to making the BBC “more diverse and inclusive”.
He told DigitalSpy: “We would like to thank Ollie for his significant contribution to BBC Studios’ continuing drama. Under his watch we have seen some huge programmes, fantastic storylines, incredible one-offs and numerous awards. During his time in role, he oversaw the successful win of two tenders, securing ‘Holby City’ and ‘Doctors’ within the BBC Studios portfolio. In addition, his commitment to making BBC Studios and our programmes more diverse and inclusive must be recognised and celebrated. We wish him all the best for the future.”
Kent – who first joined the BBC in 1996 – also oversaw Scottish soap, ‘River City’, in the two years he had in the role.
Prior to his stint as Head of Continuing Drama, Kent had worked as the Executive Producer on ‘Holby City’ and ‘Casualty’ from 2013.
Former ‘Coronation Street’ boss Kate Oates recently took over as Senior Executive Producer on ‘EastEnders’, ‘Casualty’ and ‘Holby City’ and she will report to the new Head of Continuing Drama once a person has been appointed.

Harvey Weinstein judge rejects bid to dismiss sexual assault case

OHMYGOSSIP — A judge has rejected Harvey Weinstein’s efforts to have sexual assault charges dismissed.
The 66-year-old film producer and his attorneys had attempted to have the charges dismissed, but Judge James Burke rebuffed the request at a court room in New York on Thursday (20.12.18).
Weinstein has been charged with raping a woman in a hotel room in March 2013, while he’s also been charged with forcibly performing oral sex on another woman in 2006.
Weinstein’s lawyers had argued that the case had been “irreparably tainted” by the conduct of Detective Nicholas DiGaudio, who has been accused by the producer’s camp of interfering with a witness and an accuser.
But, according to prosecutors, there is “ample evidence” for Weinstein to stand trial.
The prosecutors have also insisted DiGaudio’s alleged behaviour hasn’t tainted the case.
Weinstein has denied the allegations of non-consensual sex.
Meanwhile, the movie mogul recently admitted he’s experienced “the worst nightmare” of his life over the last 12 months.
Weinstein has been exiled from Hollywood after being accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women after an expose was published in the New York Times newspaper in October 2017.
In an email sent out to several people he previously worked with, he wrote: “I’ve had one hell of a year… The worst nightmare of my life. As you can see from these articles, the police have played a very difficult role in my investigation. All 3 police officers have either been retired or repositioned from the SVU. The articles are self explanatory but I’d like to speak to you on the phone if you have some time.
“There is more to this story… I appreciate your confidentiality.
“Have a read of these articles. I wish I didn’t have to ask but I’d be very appreciative of your time.

Richard Madden predicts gruesome Game of Thrones ending

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Madden doesn’t think any characters will survive the ‘Game Of Thrones’ finale.
The 32-year-old actor – who played Rob Stark on the show before his character was brutally murdered in the infamous ‘Red Wedding’ episode – confessed that he thinks when the fantasy series comes to an end next year, none of the main cast from the hit HBO show will make it through alive.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, he said: “I kind of think it’s just going to be three dragons flying around and everyone else is dead. It’s a possibility!”
The ‘Cinderella’ star went on to admit that since his stint on the show ended, he’s become an avid viewer if the drama and enjoys not knowing what’s to come in the episode.
He said: “I kind of don’t recognise that I was in it anymore because I’ve been watching so many years of it and they talk about Robb Stark and I know who he is but I don’t see myself in that role.
“I’m just a viewer now, which is so good. That was one of the bad things about being in the show is you got the scripts so you knew what was going to happen next, and I’ve not had that for years, so now I can just truly enjoy it as a viewer, which is thrilling.”
Despite his time on ‘Game of Thrones’ coming to a grizzly end in the show’s season 4 finale, the actor recently landed another huge role starring in the hit BBC One drama ‘The Bodyguard’ and the actor – who played personal protection officer David Budd – recently confirmed he is set to start talks of his own regarding a second season.

Vernon Kay banned Tess Daly from buying him clothes for Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Tess Daly revealed that Vernon Kay has banned her from buying him clothes for Christmas.
The 49-year-old television presenter has insisted that “men are the hardest to shop for” and admitted that her husband – who she shares daughters Phoebe, 14, and nine-year-old Amber with – is sick of her giving him shirts and shoes.
Speaking to the Sun Online, she said: “Men are the hardest to shop for. I did have a list from Vernon and he said, ‘Well, don’t buy me any more clothes please.’
“That’s because I end up buying him some closed shirts and shoes, and he’s like ‘no, I don’t need any more of them thanks very much.”
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host confessed that this year she’s sticking to buying her husband “boys toys”.
“So I’ve switched now, probably something to do with golf. Men love boys toys, mini drones, anything that flies.
“So I’m still looking. Men are difficult to shop for. We need an app for them that leads us in the right direction.”
The former model went on to detail how she and her family will spend Christmas day, and said that her kids “love Christmas” however aren’t keen on all the food.
She said: “We will probably have nine people, we’ll prep the veg the night before because on the day I don’t like missing out on the fun and the party games, and present opening. Kids love routine.
“My kids love Christmas… ‘Mum we will have carols, we will play with Grandma, we will have roast turkey and Brussels sprouts.’
“I say ‘but you hate Brussels sprouts’ … and they say ‘but I love them at Christmas. I love Christmas, it’s my favourite time of the year.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Hana Cross loves to go out “drinking until 4am”.
The 21-year-old model – who is dating Brooklyn Beckham – has admitted she loves letting her hair down and partying the night away.
She confessed: “A cheat day for me is going out for a dinner so I have about five cheat days a week! Or, going on a night out drinking until 4am!”
The brunette beauty has seen her profile soar since she started dating 19-year-old Brooklyn.
But Hana doesn’t have any intention of changing her lifestyle or her appearance in order to satisfy any potential critics.
She told Glamour UK magazine: “I would never try any kind of lip fillers or anything thing else!”
However, the model is eager to stay in shape and has revealed the strict fitness regime she follows.
Hana said: “I exercise at least three times a week – whether that’s going to the gym or doing Pilates classes or yoga.”
Meanwhile, Chloe Grace Moretz – Brooklyn’s ex-girlfriend – recently confessed that her public displays of affection with the aspiring photographer were an act of rebellion.
The ‘Kick-Ass’ star admitted they were often captured kissing by the paparazzi because of her rebellious attitude.
She conceded: “The problem with me is that I’m fairly rebellious, in the sense that if people tell me not to do [something], I’ll be like, ‘I’m going to do it, and I’m going to jump in head first and do a flip.’
“I was like, ‘Why can’t I kiss on the street and do all of the things that my friends are doing?’ And you can – you can do whatever you want – but then I’d come home and be mad that there’s a photo of me kissing on the street.

John Legend loves cooking during the festive season

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend’s favourite part of Christmas is cooking alongside his wife Chrissy Teigen.
The 39-year-old singer – who has been married to the world-famous model since 2013 – has revealed he loves spending time in the kitchen with his beloved wife during the festive season.
Speaking to E! News, John shared: “We love to cook. We love music. We love it all. The best part [of the holidays] is cooking together and serving our family.”
Chrissy, 33 – who has kids Luna, two, and seven-month-old Miles with the chart-topping singer – has actually written two cookbooks over the last two years.
However, there’s one recipe that John particularly enjoys during the winter months.
The ‘All Of Me’ hitmaker explained: “The French onion soup is perfect for winter.”
Meanwhile, Chrissy recently revealed that in spite of her own passion for cooking, her daughter Luna is frustratingly fussy about what she eats.
The model has gone to extreme lengths to ensure her two-year-old daughter eats well and has even created a whole laminated menu for her, complete with pictures of the food.
She wrote in a series of tweets: “I always came from the mindset of “eat what we serve or go to bed hungry” but I’m officially owned by my toddler, struggling to make a *dinner* luna likes aside from spaghetti and fish sticks…. any ideas welcome!! … I’m spending my days making a menu, cooking and plating every meal and taking pics so my DARLING ANGEL will eat something WHO HAVE I BECOME…I just love projects … a binder of laminated photos with TODDLER FOOD on Peppa Pig plates. A MENU FOR MY DAUGHTER. I actually didn’t realise how insane this was til I started typing it (sic)”
