Take That feel ‘settled’ despite lineup changes

OHMYGOSSIP — Take That finally feel “settled” after some “tricky” lineup changes.
The ‘Greatest Day’ hitmakers – which currently consist of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen – recently reunited with former bandmate Robbie Williams for the ‘X Factor’ final, while Jason Orange hasn’t been part of the lineup since 2014.
Admitting it might be more confusing for the fans rather than the group themselves, Gary told ES magazine: “It’s a very tricky thing, this whole four, three, five thing, for everyone except for us.
“We’ve settled. Take That is a three-piece. That’s it, full stop. But it was brilliant to see Rob, who’s in the best shape I’ve seen him in years.”
The singer also suggested the band’s upcoming tour in 2019 will mark the end of “chapter two” of their career so far.
He explained: “I think it’s a farewell to this period.
“We’ve definitely seen the Nineties as stage one and this is chapter two and [the tour] is definitely the end of chapter two and it’s lovely that it is. It’s then quite exciting to think what happens next.’
The trio aren’t seeing it as a sad time, with Gary insisting they have the potential to enjoy the longevity of acts like the Rolling Stones.
He added: “Absolutely, definitely we could. If we have the appetite or it.
Donald agreed: “It’s not going to be emotional for me, because I believe there’s going to be more.”
Meanwhile, Robbie has suggested he would rejoin with his friends again in the future if he’s in the same place as them during their upcoming tour.
Robbie – who also recently performed with Take That at the gala night of ‘The Band’ musical in London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket – previously said: “As long as we stay healthy, I’m sure there’ll be another moment where we all get together.
“Maybe we can coax Jason [Orange] back, who knows? We shall have to see. But definitely, definitely in the future. We will all ride again.
“Next year when the boys are on tour, I’m on tour too. If we’re in the same place at the same time, there’s an open mic at my gig. I’m sure there’s an open mic at theirs too.”

The Streets tease Glastonbury set

OHMYGOSSIP — Mike Skinner has teased that The Streets will be performing at Glastonbury 2019.
The ‘Fit But You Know It’ rapper has dropped a huge hint for the iconic festival in June next year, and confirmed he will be at the event while stopping short of announcing an official show.
Speaking to Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, he responded to a fan question and said: “I’m going to get in trouble.
“Basically, I’m going to Glastonbury this year. That’s all I can say. But I can’t say whether I’m performing at Glastonbury.”
Despite remaining coy about the possibility of a Streets set at Worthy Farm, the ‘Dry Your Eyes’ hitmaker did open up about how he has grown to love festivals over the year.
He added: “You know what, when i was younger, all I really cared about was night clubs and I guess gigs as well. But I wasn’t really into festivals.
“Obviously Glastonbury is the most extreme festival you can do. So when I was young I was a little big cynical, but since I’ve been DJ weirdly, I’ve really got into it.
“Because you’re up in the hills in these made weird places and actually once you’re away from the bigger, main stages…”
The Streets went on hiatus after touring 2011’s ‘Computers and Blues’ album, but reunited this year for ‘The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light Tour’ and ahead of those shows they unveiled fresh song ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ in March.
Last month Skinner – who will be touring with the British rap group early next year – also revealed he intends to unveil a new LP and play a host of festival dates.
He said: “I’m going to be releasing more music as and when I feel inspired in the lead-up to the film.
“I’ve got a track that will be out by the time this runs, I think, called ‘Call Me In The Morning’ with Chip and Grim Sickers, which is really good. And I’m planning a mixtape during 2019, as well as getting back into the swing of festivals.
“Then I’m going to make my film, release my album and after that we’re going to buy the West End off Andrew Lloyd Webber.”

North West buries brother Saint’s Elf on the Shelf

OHMYGOSSIP — North West taught her brother Saint a lesson by burying his Elf on the Shelf.
Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West’s five-year-old daughter was not happy that her three-year-old sibling broke the rules of the Christmas tradition – in which children must find Santa’s little helper but not touch it to prove to Father Christmas that they should be on the nice list – so North decided to hold a play burial for the festive toy.
Sharing her eldest child’s creation, complete with an RIP sign, on her Instagram Story, Kim wrote: “Saint just touched his Elf on a Shelf so North just brought this in.”
Meanwhile, Kim recently admitted she must have done “something really special to deserve” having Saint as a son.
The 38-year-old reality star took to Instagram on earlier this month to ring in her little boy’s third birthday with a picture of the tot lounging on some outdoor furniture, and said she believes she was blessed when he was born.
Kim – who also has Chicago, 10 months, with rapper Kanye – wrote: “Happy Birthday to my favorite boy my Sainty Joon. I must have done something really special to deserve having you as my son. I love you to the galaxy and back. (sic)”
Saint celebrated his birthday in a joint bash with his cousin Reign – whose parents are Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian and her ex-partner Scott Disick – who turned four on December 14.
The party was Tarzan-themed, and the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ stars took to social media to share images of the celebration.
Kim said in one clip: “So the boys are obsessed with Tarzan. And we have a Tarzan-themed birthday party and a jungle in my house.”

Bella Hadid finds it hard not being respected by fellow models

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Hadid doesn’t get “respect” from fellow models.
The 22-year-old beauty has opened up about the challenges she faces in the modelling world and how difficult it is has been not being supported by her peers.
When asked what has been the hardest aspect of her career for Vogue’s ’73 Questions’ video interview, she replied: “Probably gaining respect from my peers.”
Bella – whose siblings Gigi Hadid, 23, and Anwar Hadid, 19, are also models – says that in order to strive in the industry, you must be “kind” as well as “pretty”.
She said: “I think there’s a lot of pretty girls out there, so if you can’t be kind and work hard, there’s no reason to do it.”
Bella has cemented herself as one of the top models of the moment in recent years, and previously said the secret to her success is refusing to be “put in a box” and remaining authentic to who she is.
When asked what her top tips would be to someone trying their hand at a modelling career, she said: “100% it would be just to be yourself and to not try to be anybody else.
“And it sounds so cliché, but you see girls backstage sometimes that finally, now, after three years of being in the business, can be themselves and show who they really are, and it’s the best part about them. Sometimes people try to get put into a box, and there are no boxes here.”
Bella – who is dating ‘Starboy’ rapper The Weeknd – believes there’s room in the fashion industry for everyone to succeed, and that as long as you are kind and passionate about modelling it doesn’t matter “if your walk is a little wobbly.”
She said: “It’s about the relationships you make, about the kindness that you spread, and obviously working really hard. You have to have a great mindset to be in this business.
“If anybody wants to try modelling, and if that’s their passion than do it 100%. There’s room for everybody in the business to succeed and I think that people try to pick and choose, but there’s enough room for everybody if you work hard enough, for sure.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria “can’t remember” what life was like before becoming a mother.
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star has marked her baby boy Santiago’s half birthday with a gushing post about the six-month-old tot – whom she has with husband Jose ‘Pepe’ Baston – and how much laughter he brings to her life.
Alongside an adorable picture of her laying next to her son, Eva wrote on Instagram: “My sweet angel, you are 6months today and it feels like you were just born yesterday! Although I can’t remember my life without you. Your laughter melts my heart in ways you will never know. I love mi cosita preciosa! #BabyBaston #Santi #6Months (sic)”
The 43-year-old actress recently admitted the “best part” of being a mother is seeing her little one go through every stage of his life right in front of her eyes.
She said: “The best part of being a mom is that I get to see every stage my son encounters and I think it’s the best thing ever. Like the first time he giggles, I think that is the best part of being a mom. Then he goes to another stage where he rolls over, and I think that is the best. Everything he does is the best thing about being a mother!”
The ‘Overboard’ actress – who married the 50-year-old Mexican businessman in 2016 – previously admitted she is “embracing every moment” of parenthood.
She said: “I’m still in ecstasy with becoming a mother and embracing every moment. He’s starting to laugh now and react to people, which is really exciting and fun to watch. I have a really great group of girlfriends who are mums who have been through it and give really good advice. It’s just really nice to be surrounded by that tribe of women.”

Ross Kemp to appear on Car SOS: Special 7 Day Challenge

OHMYGOSSIP — Ross Kemp is to star in ‘Car S.O.S: Special 7 Day Challenge’.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor will swap sinking pints in Albert Square and war reporting for car restoration in the National Geographic show, which sees parts-blagging extraordinaire Tim Shaw and master mechanic Fuzz Townshend attempt to restore a beloved motor in just seven days.
Ross said: “I’m really excited to be on ‘Car S.O.S Special: 7 Day Challenge’. It’s a people show, and I like people. It’s not just about driving a flash car and having an opinion about it.
“Most people don’t have the opportunity to ‎drive the flash cars you see on some car shows. But ‘Car S.O.S’ is about the cars real people drive.
“I also really like the fact that it’s about helping people. It’s doing some good. In this episode, Brian has had cancer.
“Tim and Fuzz are restoring his beloved Land Rover, and now Brian knows his children and grandchildren will inherit it. That’s a wonderful thing.”
In the episode, Tim and Fuzz will attempt to restore a 1959 Series 2 Land Rover that is nothing short of a rusting wreck.
Tim added: “It’s one hell of a challenge. If you went to any garage and asked, ‘Can you restore this in seven days?’, they’d burst out laughing.
“The ticking clock is nerve-wracking, but it’s also very exciting. If we manage to pull it off, it’s something we’ll be very proud of.”
Ross will appear in the first of two fast-paced and funny new special shows featuring, for the first time ever, a live studio audience and celebrity guests.
Music legend Rick Wakeman will appear in the second episode.
‘Car S.O.S Special: 7 Day Challenge’ airs on National Geographic on 14th February at 8pm.

Dianne Buswell got ‘best’ early Christmas presents from Joe Sugg

OHMYGOSSIP — Dianne Buswell got “early Christmas presents” from new boyfriend Joe Sugg.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pair – who announced they are in a relationship after the final of the BBC competition – will be spending the festive season apart as the ballroom pro heads back to Australia to be with her family.
Taking to social media on Thursday morning (20.12.18), she tweeted: “Flying home for Christmas meant early Christmas presents from @Joe_Sugg best presents ever”
Her post comes just days after they confirmed their romance, with 27-year-old vlogger Joe sharing a snap of himself with the 29-year-old beauty on his Intagram account.
He claimed he didn’t mind losing out in the BBC One show’s final on Saturday (15.12.18) because finding love was a better prize.
He wrote: “I may not have won the glitter ball, but I’ve won something a million times more special. (sic)”
Hours after the message was posted, the red-headed beauty shared a clip of her new beau serenading her with James Blunt’s ‘You’re Beautiful’ in a wooden chalet while surrounded by friends.
Wearing a baker boy cap and grey T-shirt, Joe belted out the 2004 romantic hit with Dianne looking into the camera.
The confirmation comes after months of speculation that the established YouTuber and ballroom dancer had fallen for each away from the dancefloor.
The pair previously appeared on ‘This Morning’ together and didn’t deny a potential romance.
When asked directly about the rumours, Joe said: “It’s so nice I have met such a good friend in Dianne. We haven’t got time to think of anything else.”
Host Phillip Schofield asked: “Is that a no?”
Joe – who was laughing and blushing – replied again: “We are so busy dancing…”

Jodie Comer loved Killing Eve’s gruesome deaths

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Comer thinks ‘Killing Eve’ hit the right note with its “gruesome” deaths.
The 25-year-old actress played killer Villanelle in the BBC crime drama opposite Sandra Oh as MI5 detective Eve Polastri, and she has heaped praise on the way the hugely popular show portrayed its more violent moments.
She told The Guardian newspaper: “What I loved about the violence in the show was that a lot of it was suggested to you; you didn’t see it.
“Some of it was gruesome. There was a lot of humour in it, or artistry. I don’t know if this is the Villanelle in me, defending what she does.”
Jodie also pointed to the way the show made sure to be more creative with such scenes, rather than keeping it too blunt and simple.
She explained: “There was always something creative about it. She thrives off what she does, she cares about what she does, so it made sense to me that she would care about the detail.”
After the first season’s huge success, attention is now turning to a second series, and Jodie has hinted that viewers will find out more about her mysterious character.
She teased: “People’s questions about Villanelle are always: does she have emotions; does she have morals?
“You know, we have these glimpses of her maybe feeling something, but what is it? What is it that we don’t know?
“That’s definitely something that we’ve explored in series two, whether she is battling with her conscience – what’s under there?”
Meanwhile, Jodie previously revealed that doing “silly things” while filming helped her to become less insecure as the quirky killer.
She said: “I can be very self-conscious and I learned to drop that. If there was something silly I did in a scene, I’d be caring too much about what other people thought. The longer we went on the more free I felt.”

Emilia Fox found it ‘weird’ seeing her brother having sex on TV

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Fox found it “weird” seeing her brother having sex on TV.
The ‘Delicious’ star’s sibling Freddie stripped off for 2015 show ‘Cucumber’, and while it was a bit awkward she thinks his preparations for his role as serial killer Jeremy Bamber – for ITV drama ‘White House Farm’ – have been even scarier.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “It was weird seeing him have sex on telly but what was weirder is that he stays in character for all those months of filming.
“Seeing as he’s playing Jeremy Bamber at the moment, it’s even weirder when you have him leaving messages on the phone.”
Acting runs in the family, with mum Joanna David and dad Edward Fox both appearing on stage and screen, while cousins Jack, Lydia and ‘Lewis’ star Lawrence have all enjoyed success.
For Emilia, she found the idea of going into acting a difficult one because of the pressure of matching up to her loved ones.
She explained: “I’m a much more shy person so didn’t really relish the idea of comparisons. And I didn’t want to enter into a job that other people had done successfully in my family.
“But by default I ended doing it and I really love it. We all sort of stuck to our own areas and, in some ways, pretended we didn’t know each other professionally.
“Whereas now, luckily, because I’ve done it for over 20 years, I feel a bit more all-embracing of it, that it can be a good thing.”
Despite the amount of Fox relatives in the industry, Emilia dismissed the idea that it’s “in her blood” but admitted it’s a “weird” coincidence.
She added: “People say, ‘Is it in your blood?’ and I was always like ‘Oh no, it’s not in my blood at all – it’s a family business and we all know the same language.’
“But it is sort of weird that we’ve all done it.”

Karen Taylor’s daughter to arrive in EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — EastEnders’ Karen Taylor’s daughter is to arrive in Walford in 2019.
The Taylor family look set to get more rowdy next year as no-nonsense launderette worker Karen (Lorraine Stanley) and Mitch Baker’s (Roger Griffiths) offspring Chantelle rocks up in Albert Square.
Kate Oates, senior executive producer of ‘EastEnders’ ‘Casualty’ and ‘Holby City’, said: “The Taylor family are set to be complete when Chantelle arrives in Walford and Chantelle certainly has that feisty Taylor streak.
“Things are set to get a whole lot louder in Walford in 2019.”
Casting for Chantelle is yet to be announced, but the character is said to have a kind and bubbly nature as well as a no-nonsense streak, much like her opinionated mother.
Karen and Mitch will be delighted to see Chantelle at first but it will become apparent there is some friction between mother and daughter.
This news comes after it was recently confirmed Hannah Spearritt will reprise her role as Karen’s sister Kandice Taylor, and that Roger will be back as Mitch in 2019.
He said: “It feels great to be returning to Albert Square and working with the wonderful cast and crew again, especially the fantastic Taylor family.
“I’m excited for the viewers to learn more about Mitch and see what trouble he gets himself into this time.”
Mitch has plenty of making up to do with Karen after he tried to get back with her only for the laundrette worker to discover he had a wife.
Lorraine recently admitted she would love the soap’s bosses to cast an Indian actor for her alter-ego to hook up with, after admitting she was hoping Karen and businessman Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra) could get together.
She said: “I thought she was going to go in there for a bit of Asian flavour [with Masood]. I thought they were going to go there but they didn’t.
“I think she likes her Indian men. Bring someone in.”

Inbetweeners bosses thought Simon Bird was ‘too camp’ for Will role

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Bird says ‘The Inbetweeners’ bosses thought he was “too camp” to play Will McKenzie.
The 34-year-old actor has revealed the sitcom’s writers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley didn’t think there was a part for him or Joe Thomas (Simon Cooper) when they were putting the show together.
He said: “Well I remember not being allowed to audition for about a year because Iain and Damon said I was a) too old and b) too camp.
“They said there wasn’t a part in the show for me or Joe. This was around the time when ‘Skins’ had just come out and that was obviously a huge success.
“They’d cast fifteen and sixteen year olds to play fifteen and sixteen year olds which makes sense. So Iain and Damon were trying to do that.”
The characters of Will and Simon are based on the writing pair themselves, and it meant they struggled to settle on who should play them alongside Blake Harrison’s Neil Sutherland and James Buckley’s Jay Cartwright.
Simon added: “I think they were just very protective and didn’t really like the idea of giving those parts up to anyone.
“But Joe and I hung on in there and eventually Iain and Damon ran out of time, as we knew they would.
“They realised about three days before filming that they had to cast someone. I think it was out of desperation really that me and Joe got cast.”
The four stars still stay in touch, and they will be reuniting for a special one-off comeback show, which will be the first time they have all appeared on the small screen together since the sitcom’s final episode, ‘The Camping Trip’, in 2010.
Tom Beck, Channel 4’s head of live events and commissioning editor for entertainment, said: “Will, Jay, Simon and Neil spent years failing to sneak into the best parties, so I’m very pleased to throw one that they’re definitely invited to.
“I just hope Will brings his Mum.”
‘The Inbetweeners: Fwends Reunited’ airs New Years Day at 9pm on Channel 4.

Faye Tozer insists marriage is ‘solid’

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Tozer has beaten the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ curse – insisting her marriage is “solid”.
The Steps singer has been married to hubby Michael Smith for nine years and says she takes rumours about their relationship “with a pinch of salt”, because they are “fine” and couldn’t stop talking to one another while she was rehearsing for the show.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Me and Michael are solid.
“Me and Michael were on the phone all the time. As long as we know we’re fine, that’s all that matters.”
Following a one-month stay in a London hotel near the end of ‘Strictly’ – on which she lost out in last weekend’s final to Glitterball champ Stacey Dooley – she was delighted to pick up her nine-year-old son Benjamin from school on Monday (17.12.18) as a surprise.
She added: “We had a lovely embrace.”
Faye – who was partnered by pro dancer Giovanni Pernice in the series – recently admitted she was surprised to be offered the chance to take part in the show, saying she didn’t ever envisage being considered due to her previous dance experience.
The 43-year-old trained choreographer – who has starred in musicals ‘Tell Me on a Sunday’ and ‘Rhinestone Mondays’, among others – said: “I didn’t think I would ever be considered for ‘Strictly’ because I come from a dancing pop group.
“I didn’t think that I would ever get the chance to be on there.”
She has defended fellow ‘Strictly’ contestant Ashley Roberts after the Pussycat Dolls singer came under fire for also having dance experience.
Faye said: “There’s always somebody with more experience than others but the thing we have in common is that none of us have ever done the ballroom or the Latin and some people are just natural movers.
“They want to have some sort of standard and level because if everybody couldn’t manage it every week you wouldn’t be able to create such a beautiful and amazing show.”

Mark Wahlberg hails Penny Marshall ‘one of a kind’

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Wahlberg has hailed the late Penny Marshall “one of a kind”.
The ‘Laverne & Shirley’ star – who was the younger sister of the late writer, producer, and director Garry Marshall – passed away on Monday (17.12.18) after suffering complications from diabetes at the age of 75.
The 47-year-old actor has Penny to thank for launching his Hollywood career after she handed him his first major movie role as Private Tommy Lee Haywood in 1994 comedy ‘Renaissance Man’, alongside Danny DeVito (Bill Rago).
Speaking for the first time since the director-and-actress’ passing, Wahlberg told The Blast: “Oh God, Penny … I was thinking about how much Penny did for me and gave me my first acting job and everything she did for me,’ he reflected with a solemn tone.
“I thought about the long list of how many people she helped, found, discovered, inspired and took to another level.
“Love her and miss her, she was the best, she was one of a kind.”
When the ‘Mile 22’ star first heard the news, he wrote on Twitter: “Rest in peace, Penny. Such a wonderful, funny and talented lady. Without her support and encouragement, I would not be where I am today. She will be missed. #PennyMarshall (sic)”
A host of stars have paid tribute to Penny, including Rosie O’Donnell, Busy Philipps and Melissa Joan Hart.
Rosie shared the YouTube video for a K-Mart commercial she starred in alongside Penny.

Whilst actress Busy tweeted: “Oh Penny Marshall. Rest In Peace and thank you for everything. (sic)”
Melissa took to Instagram to mourn the loss of the ‘A League of Their Own’ director, as she praised Penny for being a “special role model” to female comedians.

The Marshall family holds a special place in my heart for being so kind and creative and encouraging to other artists. But she was a special role model for female comedians like myself. #RIP #ThankYou (sic)”
‘Stranger Things’ actor Sean Astin also tweeted his condolences to Penny’s family and friends, as he said he was thinking of her “brilliant moments” whilst sitting on a sit-com set himself.
He wrote: “I got to stay up late-after Happy Days-2 watch Laverne & Shirley. So sad 2 learn that Penny Marshall has passed. Sitting on a sit-com set 40 years later, thinking about milk & pepsi, rodeo-doh-doh-doh & so many of her brilliant moments. Love to her family, friends & our town… (sic)”
Shortly after news of her passing broke, Penny’s family released a brief statement saying they were “heartbroken” by the loss.

Steve McQueen: I experience racism every day

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve McQueen experiences racism on a daily basis.
The 49-year-old director has revealed he faces prejudice all the time, and Steve thinks the situation has worsened since Britain voted to leave the European Union in 2016.
Asked whether he has personally experienced more racism since Brexit, the ‘Widows’ director said: “Every day, mate. Yes, of course! Wolves come in sheep’s clothing. You deal with it. You have to or you go mad. So long as you put one foot in front of the other, you’re good.”
Steve believes the public need to recognise the power and influence they can potentially wield.
The Academy Award-winning filmmaker also thinks cinema can help to bring social issues into the spotlight.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “We really do have the power.
“As individuals we don’t, but as a collective, absolutely we do. We can change the course of events. Sometimes we just need a reminder – and cinema is one of those tools that can actually do that.”
Meanwhile, Viola Davis recently admitted she was thrilled when Steve asked her to embrace her natural Afro hair in ‘Widows’.
The acclaimed actress – who stars in the drama movie about a group of women who attempt a heist – said: “You’re always taught as a person of colour to not like your hair.
“The kinkier it is, the so-called nappier it is, the uglier it is. We’re into a zeitgeist where people are fighting for their space to be seen. People have to know that there are different types of women of colour.
“We’re not all Foxy Brown. We’re not all brown or light-skinned beauties with a big Afro. We have the girl next door. We have the older, dark-skinned, natural-haired woman.”
