Kardashian-Jenner sisters axe apps

OHMYGOSSIP — The Kardashian-Jenner sisters are shutting down their apps.
Kim Kardashian West, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have made the “difficult decision” to stop updating their apps, on which they share photos, videos, recipes and healthy living tips, from next year.
In a statement, Kim wrote on her website: “We’ve had an incredible experience connecting with all of you through our apps these past few years but have made the difficult decision to no longer continue updating in 2019.
“We truly hope you’ve enjoyed this journey as much as we have, and we look forward to what’s ahead.”
The family’s decision comes after their sister Kendall Jenner shut down her app last year.
The Kardashian-Jenner clan launched their apps in 2015 to give fans the opportunity to see exclusive photos and parts of their lives which hadn’t made it onto ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’, for $2.99 a month.
This comes just eight months after Kim confirmed the closure of all the DASH clothing boutique stores she owns with her sisters, after they shut down their New York branch in December 2016.
In a post on her app, she wrote: “After nearly 12 years, my sisters and I have decided to close the doors of our DASH stores. We opened our first store as a family in 2006 and since then we have made so many lifelong memories. From opening locations in Los Angeles, Miami and New York, to having our Dash Dolls spin-off show, it’s been such a huge part of our lives.
“We’ve loved running DASH, but in the last few years we’ve all grown so much individually. We’ve been busy running our own brands, as well as being moms and balancing work with our families. We know in our hearts that it’s time to move on.
“We love our DASH Dolls and are so grateful for the amazing memories – and we have to give a special thanks to the DASH employees and all of the incredible fans and customers who have supported us throughout the years! We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you to everyone! (sic)”

Sandra Bullock’s crush on Speed co-star Keanu Reeves

OHMYGOSSIP — Sandra Bullock found it “really hard” to do her job in ‘Speed’ because she had a huge crush on co-star Keanu Reeves.
The ‘Ocean’s 8’ star has confessed she couldn’t keep her eyes off the “handsome” and “sweet” actor, who played the lead role of Los Angeles police officer Jack in the 1994 disaster movie, and struggled to be “serious” during filming the intense flick.
Appearing on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, she admitted: “I think about how sweet Keanu Reeves was and how handsome.
“It was really hard for me to be serious [during the filming of ‘Speed’]. He would look at me and I’d [giggle].”
When host Ellen quizzed the 54-year-old actress on whether or not she got to date Keanu, who is the same age as her, she replied: “Never. I guess there was something about me that he didn’t like.”
Meanwhile, Sandra – who has adopted children Louis, eight, and six-year-old Laila – opened up about the devastating death of her father John Bullock, who passed away at the age of 93 in September, and her two dogs within weeks.
She said: “My dad died. While my dad was dying we get a call … that our Dog Ruby, the two-legger, had a stroke.”
A few days later, she was told: “Your other dog has a heart tumour and she’s going to die in three days.”
The ‘Proposal’ star revealed how it all hit her days later and she burst out crying whilst taking a bath.
She recalled: “A week later I’m in the bathtub crying and the kids are like, ‘Is mommy okay?’ It’s life.”

Taylor Schilling wants her Orange Is the New Black character to live forever

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Schilling hopes her ‘Orange Is the New Black’ alter-ego Piper Chapman “lives on in perpetuity”.
The 34-year-old actress admits it’s difficult saying goodbye to the character, which she has played for 78 episodes since launching her career on the Netflix prison drama series in 2013, as the cast prepare for the final series next year.
The ‘Argo’ star – whose cast mates include Uzo Aduba (Suzanne ‘Crazy Eyes’ Warren), Laura Prepon (Alex Cause) and Kate Mulgrew (Galina ‘Red’ Reznikov – told Story + Rain: “This is a huge part of my life. I was young. I was 27, just so little … What I hope for Piper is that she lives on in perpetuity.
“That she finds some freedom, some self-acceptance.
“It’s been really interesting playing a character that has not found any internal resting point. With a lot of gratitude, is how I’d like to say goodbye.”
‘Orange Is the New Black’ – which follows the antics of the female prisoners of New York’s Litchfield Penitentiary – will bid farewell after its explosive seventh series next summer.
Meanwhile, Taylor has already signed up for a number of projects since, including the forthcoming thriller ‘The Prodigy’, in which she plays a mother concerned about her son’s bizarre behaviour which she thinks is the result of the supernatural, but after her current filming schedule ends, Taylor plans to take a well-deserved break, before figuring out what she’d like to do next.
She told the lifestyle platform: “This is a huge new chapter. I have a few projects coming out this spring–Orion Pictures’ thriller The Prodigy, and the Film Arcade comedy Family. And then I think I’m going to just be very quiet for a minute and see what enters, as opposed to chasing it.”

Chris Evans for Strictly Come Dancing 2019

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Evans has confirmed he will compete on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ next year.
The 52-year-old radio presenter has accepted an offer to appear on the Latin and ballroom series, and says he will take part in the show so his wife, Natasha Shishmanian, can watch the programme from the studio every week.
When asked by TV presenter Alex Jones on Wednesday night’s (19.12.18) ‘The One Show’ whether he could confirm or deny he will be on ‘Strictly’, Chris replied: “Well, I have said yes.
“Probably only because my wife would like to go every week.
“You’d know because you get a pair of tickets don’t you?
“So you and my wife can go and have a great time and I will be terrified backstage.”
Alex’s co-host Matt Baker then said: “You’re making a bid for the final if you think you’ll be there every week.”
Chris said: “No, no no! Hang on a minute, you get a pair of tickets every week anyhow don’t you?
“Look, it’s not about me, it’s about Tash getting in with Al and some of her other friends.”
He later admitted he hasn’t actually put pen to paper on a contract for the show, but did accept an offer from the programme’s commissioning editor Jo Wallace over a cup of tea.
This comes just days after Alan Carr confirmed he was approached by ‘Strictly’ producers about appearing on the programme, and while he is keen to get his dancing shoes on, the TV presenter is too busy to take part next year.
He said: “Oh my listen. Listen! I will do it but next year I’ve got a busy year, I’m going on tour!
“They cornered me and they said, ‘Would you do it?’ and I would do it but I hate those VTs where you know, ‘We’re doing Salsa so we’re off to a dips factory,’ you know what I mean?
“They go to Chester Zoo or a museum, but I’m like, I need to be in the studio now doing the Argentine Tango. Step away from the rhino – I want to stick a rose in my mouth and do the thing!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘X Factor’ contestant Honey G has been dropped from her job as an estate agent for being “famous”.
The 37-year-old aspiring rapper – whose real name is Anna Georgette Gilford – was working at Chancellors Estate Agents in London after splitting from Simon Cowell’s Syco label in April, but she was told she would have to quit music if she wanted to continue in the position.
She told The Sun: “They didn’t realise how famous I am.
“My boss had told me that he was expecting me to give up my music career which I am obviously not prepared to do.
“Music is my love and passion, and my ambitions are about being a worldwide music artist.”
Despite losing her job, the rapper is determined to make it as a performer and vowed to release new music.
The ‘Honey G Show’ singer said: “I had no intention of being an estate agent long term. “I was hoping that a big opportunity for my music career would come in. I do believe I belong on stage.
“I will be releasing new music soon.”
On why she decided to get the job in the first place, she previously said: “I decided to go out and get a job because I wanted the structure in my life, my music is still going really well.
“I was really pleased to get the job because before ‘X Factor’ I really wanted to get into an estate agency, but I couldn’t get a break.
“I think it has helped me, I think all of the achievements on ‘X Factor’ has helped me to get this break with Chancellors being one of the top leading companies.”
Insisting her music is still a priority, she added: “My music dream is not is by no means out of the picture. I don’t want people to get the wrong idea that I’ve decided to go out and get a job because I don’t want to do music anymore and it’s not like that at all.
“I’m still running my label, still trying to make it a success, I’m hoping the collab I’ve got coming up is going to help me sort of push it forwards.”

Rukku Nahar and Priya Davdra join EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Rukku Nahar and Priya Davdra have joined ‘EastEnders’ as the granddaughters of Mariam and Arshad Ahmed.
Former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Rukku – who played Asha Kaur in the Channel 4 soap – and Priya will play Habiba and Iqra Ahmed respectively, and the siblings are set to be a “force to be reckoned with” when they rock up in Walford in early 2019.
Rukku – who has also appeared in ‘Casualty’ – said: “I’m so excited to have joined ‘EastEnders’, it’s a show I’ve grown up watching and stepping onto Albert Square is just unreal!
“Habiba is great fun to play and I’m so happy to be working alongside Priya. Can’t wait for you all to see what we get up to on the Square.”
Priya will make her TV debut on the soap, and she is looking forward to her and Rukku’s characters causing plenty of drama in Albert Square.
She added: “‘EastEnders’ was such a big part of my life growing up and I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the show.
“Walking on to the set for the first time was such an amazing experience. I can’t wait for viewers to meet the sisters and see how much drama they’re going to cause.”
Iqra, the eldest of the two, is described as no-nonsense, bold and intelligent, while Habiba is full of the best intentions but often finds herself in trouble.
The pair will appear on screen in the new year, and Kate Oates, senior executive producer of ‘EastEnders’ ‘Casualty’ and ‘Holby City’, has teased fans to expect the two characters to be a “nightmare” for their grandparents Mariam (Indira Joshi) and Arshad (Madhav Sharma).
She said: “The sisters are certainly going to be a force to be reckoned with.
“Their arrival will throw number 41 into chaos as they become a nightmare for Mariam and Arshad.
“Residents of Walford beware, take on one of the sisters and you take on the pair.”

Ben Whishaw not sure if he’s returning as Q in Bond 25

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Whishaw isn’t “sure” if he’ll return as Q in ‘Bond 25’.
The ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ star claims he hasn’t been told whether or not he’ll be reviving his role as the iconic gadget expert in the next instalment of the blockbuster spy series, which will see Daniel Craig play the British Secret Service agent one final time.
He told Vanity Fair: “I’m not even sure if I’ll be in it.
“I’m assuming that I’m not going to be so it will be a nice surprise if they put me in.
“I think it’s right [director Cary Fukanaga] and Daniel need to just figure it out. I’ve done two; I’ve had a good run.”
Despite his uncertainty on returning to the franchise, Whishaw – who appeared in ‘Spectre’ and ‘Skyfall’ – says playing Q was career-changing.
He added: “I was in a film that people actually saw.
“I mean, [that] lots of people actually saw – and that really changed things.”
Though he claims to be be in the dark about his future, the movie’s helmer recently suggested Whishaw would return along with fellow British co-stars Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes, and Lea Seydoux.
Lea, 33, portrayed Bond girl Dr Madeleine Swann in 2015 movie ‘Spectre’, and she looks set to reprise her role after support from Daniel Craig – who is to play the suave spy for a fifth time in the forthcoming film – and the filmmaker.
Fukanaga – who will be helming his first Bond movie – said: “Lea will be returning.”
And speaking about the British trio, the director added: “You have some of the best actors in the world here.
“Why wouldn’t I have the best coming back?”
In ‘Spectre’, Seydoux’s psychologist alter-ego Swann got hot and steamy with Bond in the freezing Austrian Alps.
She is the daughter of Mr. White – played by Jesper Christensen – and helped the spy identify the criminal and terrorist organisation SPECTRE.
Fukunaga was named as the hotly-anticipated movie’s new director in September, after Danny Boyle walked away from the project over “creative differences”.
Producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said at the time: “We are delighted to be working with Cary.
“His versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure.”
Boyle’s decision to depart the project was announced on the movie’s official Twitter page in August.
The post read: “Michael G Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25 (sic)”
‘Bond 25’ is scheduled to be released on February 14, 2020.

Lil Xan says his relationship with Noah Cyrus became ‘sloppy’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lil Xan acknowledges his relationship with Noah Cyrus became “sloppy”.
The 22-year-old rap star dated Noah, 18, from June until September this year, but in spite of the acrimonious circumstances surrounding their split, he’s also hailed the singer in a new Instagram post.
He captioned a side-by-side photograph of Noah and singer Billie Eilish: “i genuinely think these 2 are some of the best not only female artist but in general coming up rn ! yes i know things got sloppy but i see the world so clear now! and everybody stop with all the “your tryna get her back” it’s not like that i just don’t see the need for drama or fighting and their both genuinely good people! Last month, Noah admitted her relationship with Xan was a “mistake”.
The singer made the confession in response to WorldStar Hip Hop’s Instagram asking its followers, “What mistakes did you make in your last relationship that you won’t repeat again?”

Prior to their split, Xan publicly accused Noah of cheating on him.

But Noah has denied being unfaithful, and she recently spoke about their split, saying that while the separation wasn’t easy, she was “fine” with the situation.
Noah shared: “It’s all love and it’s all good. I’m confused, is all I’m going say. It was just a shock for everybody, I think.

Speaking to ‘Extra’, Hugh joked: “He’s like, ‘I’ve been working on my dancing.’ I’m like, ‘Dude!'”
The ‘Wolverine’ actor also revealed Ryan has been trying to convince him to reprise the superhero role for a crossover with ‘Deadpool’ – but he’s not been swayed yet.
He laughed: “If [Ryan] has his way, it’s literally every day. I answer every fourth day because it would be embarrassing if I never answered him.”
And while Hugh, 50, might not be ready to let Ryan, 42, join him on his first-ever world tour, he does have some special guests in mind to treat his fans.
He said: “I’m asking everybody I want, even crazy asks … I’d love P!nk to come with Willow and sing ‘A Million Dreams’, I’d love Sting to come, I would love Janelle Monae, I would love Audra McDonald to come, I would love Kelly Clarkson – there’s so many people that I would love to come.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jerry Seinfeld continues his reign as Forbes’ World’s Highest-Paid Comedian.
The 64-year-old entertainer shot to the top of the prestigious list after he earned a whopping $57.5 millions in 12 months, that can be attributed to his global stand-up shows, which saw the comic make $30 million alone and was more than half his earnings for the previous year.
Steinfeld’s other profits came from his Netflix series, ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee’, which sees the star pick up guests in vintage classic vehicles – his most famous episode is the stint he did with former President of the United States, Barack Obama in 2016 – and his 1989 iconic show ‘Seinfeld’ on Hulu, which ran for nine seasons on NBC, and saw four single friends together in New York City.
The comic has topped the list every year since 2006, apart from in 2016, when comedian-turned-actor Kevin Hart made a massive $87.5 million, whilst he made $43.5 million.
Seinfeld beat rival Hart, 39, who just missed the top spot by half a million dollars.

Dancing On Ice’s Jayne Torvill surprised at fearless Didi Conn

OHMYGOSSIP — Jayne Torvill is surprised how fearless Didi Conn has been during her ‘Dancing on Ice’ training.
The pro ice skater believes the ITV audience will fall in love with the 67-year-old film star because she is “so charismatic”, but she has been shocked at just how courageous the ‘Grease’ legend is on the ice for “her age”.
When asked who has surprised them the most, Jayne said: “I think Didi, she’s so charismatic. You’re charmed by her, but also, she’s not as fearful as she should be for someone of that age. She seems to really love it and really enjoy.
“She can skate around on her own and she’s quite confident. She’s got a great partner.
“The audience will just fall in love with her.”
As well as judging alongside Jason Gardiner and Ashley Banjo, Jayne and her pro ice skating partner Christopher Dean will be setting the celebrity contestants special challenges on next year’s show.
Christopher explained: “We’re going to do judges’ challenges almost every week. On Mondays and Tuesdays we’ll be telling them what the challenge is and then helping them master the technique, as opposed to choreography.
“They have to include something in each routine after week two. It’ll be a bit of a leveller for some of them.”
Jayne admits it will be “easier to judge” the celebrities, but the panellists will not be involved in the stars’ whole routines.
Speaking at the series launch at London’s Natural History Museum, Christopher said: “Everybody will have a similar thing to do. If it’s a spin we’ll see how well they’ve mastered them.
“From the audience point of view they will be able to see who has done it better.
Jayne added: “We’ll be dealing with a couple of elements that have to be in the routine, we have nothing to do with the whole routine.”

Oprah Winfrey: Black Panther is bigger than a movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Oprah Winfrey thinks ‘Black Panther’ is “bigger than a movie”.
The 64-year-old star has hailed the Ryan Coogler-directed Marvel movie, saying it represented a “game-changing” moment for the film industry.
She said: “I just wanted to say that when I first saw ‘Black Panther’, I sent an email to my friend [Disney chief Bob Iger] and said, ‘Hi Bobby! Just saw it. It’s worth everything I’ve heard and more. A phenomenon in every way, on every level.
“Makes me tear up to think that little black children will grow up with ‘Wakanda forever’. It’s game-changing, it’s pride-making, it’s dazzling, it’s phenomenal. That was my personal review.”
Oprah subsequently described the superhero movie – which features a predominantly black cast – as a “cultural happening”.
She explained, according to The Hollywood Reporter: “I also know that throngs and throngs and so many people came, and came with their families, and then they went back and they got more family members, and then they went back and told their co-workers and their friends, because everybody recognised that something bigger than a movie was happening up on that screen.
“We all knew – those of us who have come from the culture and the history – how lit it was. It just gave us life! It gave us life! But it was so affirming for everyone who saw it because you knew that it was bigger than this moment – it was a cultural happening – and just to be in the theatre was to be a part of all of that.”

Rami Malek’s fake teeth helped Bohemian Rhapsody performance

OHMYGOSSIP — Rami Malek’s fake teeth helped his performance in ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
The 37-year-old actor played Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the biopic and although the costume provided some difficulties it actually ended up giving him a boost on set.
He told The Wrap: “They started out being pretty difficult to deal with. We tried out all different sizes and when they first went in I felt very insecure, but immediately I compensated.
“Physically, I started to sit with more posture and elegance and I thought, ‘Oh, he is so elegant!’
“You see him covering up his lips and his teeth all the time, and I could never quite get the hang of it. But as soon as those teeth went in, it was done. It was little things like that that were very informative for me.”
Rami previously admitted he has always open with producer Graham King about his lack of musical ability prior to landing the coveted role.
He shared: “We sat down for a six-hour meeting and he’d really only seen me in ‘Mr Robot’, where I played this profoundly alienated, socially anxious human being who’s a pretty far cry from Freddie Mercury.
“Graham saw something in me with Dennis O’Sullivan, and gave me a shot. I said, ‘Listen, I’m not a singer. I don’t play the piano. I move in a very interesting way on a dancefloor – I don’t know if I’d call it rhythm.’ ”
Meanwhile, Rami recently revealed he is still researching Freddie following the release of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
The actor remains obsessed with reading about the ‘Radio Gaga’ singer and making sure he got the part spot on.
He explained: “You see him onstage and then almost instinctively, I’d want to discover more.
“There’s just an eloquence and elegance to him that you see when he’s onstage, and then you can see where all that was birthed from. Not many artists are wearing an entire head-to-toe leather outfit, sipping a champagne flute and telling their audience to strip naked if they please. And he still comes off with this essence of royalty.
“I re-read one of the biographies the other day just to see, ‘Did I miss anything?'”

Steve McQueen blasts the movie industry

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve McQueen has accused the movie industry of lacking imagination.
The acclaimed filmmaker has hit out at Hollywood bosses, saying the film industry often demonstrates a lack of creative thinking and is also unwilling to take a risk on certain storylines.
He explained: “I can’t remember if there has ever been a movie about a gay person who is a detective or the lead in a romantic comedy who doesn’t have a problem with their sexuality. How is that possible?
“Certain people of power and influence in the industry are gay yet would never think about making a movie like that. What does it say about the worldview they’re helping maintain?
“I’m not pointing fingers – I’m just saying that if we see two men or women walking down the street holding hands, we’re not even gonna blink. But if it’s on the screen, apparently it becomes thunderous.”
But McQueen, 49, claimed that his latest movie ‘Widows’ – which tells the story of a group of women who attempt a heist – deviates from the norm within Hollywood.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “As an artist you have your path and that’s fine. And sometimes the world won’t agree with you and that’s fine.
“I’m here hopefully for a little while and will do my work. I’m just telling a story about four women trying to get their s**t together, about the environment in which we’re living, in a way that’s not high heels and handbags, that’s about human beings and full-on conversations.”

Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham have ‘chemistry’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson thinks he and Jason Statham have a “biting chemistry”.
The 46-year-old actor has been reunited with his former ‘Fast and the Furious’ co-star for their upcoming spin-off movie ‘Hobbs And Shaw’, and Dwayne admitted he loves working with the action star.
He explained: “We started talking about the potential of a spin-off really after ‘Fast Five’. And then when ‘Fast 6’ came around, that’s when we started having real talks about it, but then the challenge was just finding out what the creative could be and how we cracked that.
“I’m really happy that we were not only be able to crack the creative and really lean into the relationship and chemistry – the biting chemistry between myself and Jason Statham – but I think that also you find out that it’s something the fans have been wanting for some time now.”
Dwayne admitted he’s always had the ambition of extending his connection to the ‘Fast’ franchise for as long as possible.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “When you have a franchise that is as successful as the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise, the goal, certainly my goal, was always to try and create a scenario where we have as much longevity as we possibly can have.
“And in that spirit, you have to evolve and you have to spin off and you have to create new characters and new stories, especially when you’re coming off ‘Fast 8’, where you have an eight at the end of your title.
“And while that one was wildly successful as well, we all collectively felt, myself, Jason Statham, the studio, all right, now’s the time, let’s make our move. So it’s been pretty surreal, but it’s also been a lot of fun and pretty exciting.”
