Frankie Bridge’s sons want a sibling

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Bridge’s children are desperate for a sibling.
The former Saturdays singer – who has sons Parker, five, and three-year-old Carter with husband Wayne Bridge – admitted the boys are “obsessed” with babies and would love to have an infant in the house to play with.
She said: “They’re obsessed with babies. They’d be great with another brother or sister.”
Wayne added: “I think they’d fight over them. They’d be fighting over who would be a having a cuddle first.”
Frankie is currently feeling “really broody” but though she likes the idea of another child at the moment, the footballer doesn’t think they’ll be expanding their family any time soon.
She said: “We change our minds all the time, I’ve been really broody lately but I feel like we’re never broody at the same time.
“It’s a really big decision as everything goes up a notch, plus the boys get on really well and I’ve enjoyed being back at work.”
Wayne added: “Never say never, but I’d say at the moment it won’t happen soon. We definitely do go through stages.
“I’d love a massive family at Christmas and birthdays to create loads of memories but it’s never that easy.
“We’ve been through all the nappies and we get to do loads more with the boys now they’re older.
“I don’t know if another baby would change any of that.”
While Frankie “can’t imagine” never having another baby, the 29-year-old star also admitted she hates being pregnant and wishes she didn’t have to go through it.
Asked why she’s feeling broody, she told OK! magazine: “I think it’s the boys being so grown up, Parker’s at school and he’s really come into his own and Carter was always my baby but he starts school next year. I can’t imagine never having another.
“I’m only 29 and it would be weird, so we’ll see…
“I don’t like being pregnant. If you could just hand me a baby, that might be different.”

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth wanted ‘intimate’ wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth kept their wedding a secret in order to create an “intimate” atmosphere.
The happy couple confirmed on Wednesday (26.12.18) they had tied the knot three days earlier, and it has now been claimed their decision to keep the ceremony under wraps was made in order to make sure the event stayed “small”, with only “the people most important” to them in attendance.
A source said: “Marriage has become such a topic of conversation in their relationship. Everyone is always asking them when and now its real, they did it! The gathering was small and intimate and rather spontaneous. They did some quick pre-planning before the holiday and decided that they didn’t want a big elaborate wedding. They truly wanted to keep it a secret.
“They just wanted the people most important in their lives present. It was so touching. They decided to do it at their home in Tennessee as they have talked about in the past.”
The 26-year-old singer is said to believe Liam, 28, is “the perfect match for her”, as the source claims friends of the pair are “so excited” to see them start the next chapter of their lives.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, the insider added: “Miley knows she is taking an important step towards building their future and she knows Liam is the perfect match for her. Their special day was exactly what they wanted. Miley’s mom was tearing up as they exchanged vows.
“They were literally smiling from ear to ear and you could truly see their love. Their friends are so excited for them!”
Miley confirmed the news this week in several social media posts.
In one set of pictures of the pair embracing, the ‘Malibu’ hitmaker – who wore a floor-length white Vivienne Westwood gown – captioned the Instagram post: “12.23.18”
And alongside another, she wrote: “10 years later …..(sic)”
A third post featured the couple sharing a kiss, and she wrote: “This is probably our one – millionth kiss.(sic)”
Meanwhile, the ‘Hunger Games’ actor shared the same kissing photo, which he captioned: “My love [heart emoji].”

Sir Paul McCartney reforms the Beatles in his dreams

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul McCartney reforms the Beatles in his dreams.
The 76-year-old singer has admitted that he often thinks about the iconic band and remembers late members John Lennon and George Harrison “with a lot of sadness”, as he insists they should both “still be here”.
In an interview with BBC Radio Scotland – which is due to air on December 29 – he said: “John and George are still a big part of my life, always will be.
“It would have been great to get the Beatles back together again. People always say what if? But we can’t, so, sadly, that’s not going to happen.
“I often think about them with a lot of sadness, because they should still be here. In John’s case, it was a terrible thing. In George’s, a terrible illness.
“If by some strange fluke it was to happen, it would be beautiful.
“As a musician, you often have dreams about being in the studio or on stage, so I’m often with the guys.
“Just the other morning, I woke up and I was with George. And that was very nice. I think of George as my little mate – he was the youngest in the group.
“That’s how I run into John and George these days. So the Beatles have re-formed – in my head.”
George passed away on November 29, 2001, after a battle with lung cancer while John was assassinated outside his Manhattan apartment by Mark David Chapman in 1980.
The ‘Hey Jude’ hitmaker went on to explain that although he is deeply saddened by the passing of his bandmates, he’s grateful to have known them.
Paul added: “Even though there is sadness, the main thing is the joy of knowing those two guys. I miss them a lot.”

Will Ferrell reveals his career ‘plan Bs’

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Ferrell only stopped thinking about possible career “plan Bs” seven or eight years ago.
The 51-year-old actor is one of the most popular comedy stars in the movie business, but during the early part of his career, Will worried his success would evaporate and that he’d need to find an alternative job.
He shared: “Up until seven or eight years ago, my wife and I still joked that if it all fell apart, what could we possibly do? Maybe open a business of kenneling dogs or be UPS drivers.
“We finally stopped thinking of plan Bs.”
Will – who has kids Magnus, 14, Mattias, 11, and Axel, eight – also revealed that his children have inherited his love of comedy and making people laugh.
He told Parade.com: “They’re good kids and like to be funny, but they don’t need to stand on their desk trying to get a teacher’s attention. They just like making their friends laugh. That’s the way I was too.”
Despite his success in Hollywood, Will previously admitted that at one point in his life, his professional ambitions didn’t extend beyond finding a nice, stable job.
He said: “The stereotype you made fun of as a kid was ‘the job in the bank’. But to me that always sounded all right. Nine to five and you know where you’re going. You get a decent salary and vacations and get to carry a briefcase. I was fine with that idea.
“But then I also realised at a young age that I loved writing. I was doing little comedy bits. I never had the guts to realise I might be a performer.
“But by the time I graduated college [he studied sports journalism] I knew that thought would eat away at me if I didn’t give it a shot. Thank God with the success I’ve had I’ve been able to have stability, too. When I’m at home with the family now it is a blissfully boring existence.”

Guillermo Del Toro to produce Terrified

OHMYGOSSIP — Guillermo Del Toro is set to produce the thriller ‘Terrified’.
The acclaimed filmmaker has been brought on board by Fox Searchlight to produce the English-language remake of last year’s Argentinian hit, according to Deadline.
The original movie – which tells the story of a doctor and an ex-police officer investigating horrifying events – was helmed by Demian Rugna, and he’s also been appointed to direct the remake.
Sacha Gervasi – whose previous credits include ‘The Terminal’, ‘Hitchcock’, and ‘Anvil! The Story of Anvil’ – is set to write the script.
He also wrote and directed the TV drama series ‘My Dinner with Herve’, which stars the likes of Peter Dinklage and Jamie Dornan.
Meanwhile, Guillermo revealed earlier this year that he had a film turned down because it was too “female-centric”.
The award-winning director said he once tried to persuade a studio to take on a project with a predominately female cast, but his efforts were shut down almost immediately.
He shared: “The message that is really strong for studios, and one that they understand, is box office.
“So with ‘Black Panther’, ‘Get Out’, ‘Wonder Woman’ – these are movies for female audiences, African American audiences, and for many years that was a very difficult discussion to have with studios.
“One project I had at a major studio no longer than three years ago was turned down because it was female-centric.
“I went to bat for it and literally could not move them one inch. It was myopic. These successes show the studios that fortune favours the bold.
“People are interested in seeing themselves in a way they haven’t seen themselves.”

Natalie Portman ‘doesn’t know anything’ about Star Wars rumours

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Portman doesn’t “know anything” about a potential ‘Star Wars’ return.
The Academy Award-winning actress – who played Padme Amidala in Episodes I to III of the sci-fi saga – has been linked with a return to the sci-fi franchise in ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’, but at the moment, Natalie hasn’t heard anything about a potential return.
Asked about the rumours of her returning to ‘Star Wars’, Natalie admitted: “Oh really? I don’t know anything about that. I’m guessing that’s not true because I don’t know about it yet.”
Despite playing a central role in the ‘Star Wars’ films, Natalie previously admitted she has mixed feelings about her children seeing her in the movies.
The 37-year-old actress – who has kids Aleph, seven, and Amalia, who was born in February 2017, with her husband Benjamin Millepied – confessed she was torn about the prospect of her kids seeing her in the franchise.
Explaining her concerns, Natalie said: “It’s kind of a shame.
“You know, when I made it, I was like, ‘This is going to be the coolest thing. One day when I have kids, I can show them.’ And boys, of course, are obsessed with it and know all about it before they’ve seen it. [But] I realised, I die in the movies. I feel like it’s kind of a scary thing to show your kid.”

JoJo re-records first two albums for fans

OHMYGOSSIP — JoJo has re-recorded and re-released her first two albums.
The pop star has unveiled new versions of her debut LP ‘JoJo’ from 2004 and follow-up ‘The High Road’ from 2006 and included two new singles, named ‘Disaster’ and ‘Demonstrate’.
The ‘Leave (Get Out)’ hitmaker had to recreate the records due to a contractual row with her former label Background Records, whom removed the original tracks from streaming services.
JoJo unveiled the new recordings on her Twitter and Instagram accounts on Thursday (20.12.18) – on what was also her 28th birthday – with each previewed song accompanied by the message “Love, Jo”.
Fans have gone wild for the star’s updated versions of her iconic tracks with one writing: “Omg throwback!!! Yasss (sic)”
And another writing: “Ok, a bop. These songs better get the recognition they deserved. (sic)”
JoJo signed a deal with the label at 13 years old but after a lengthy lawsuit she was able to rid herself from Background Records and sign a new deal with Interscope.
Last year, the singer took to Twitter to inform her fans about Background Records decision to take her music off streaming platforms, tweeting: “My former label removed my music, I unfortunately have absolutely no control over what they do or don’t do. I want to let bygones be bygones. I pray one day they put my music back up.”

Penn Badgley calls for representation in film and TV

OHMYGOSSIP — Penn Badgley has called for better representation of different ethnic groups in movies and TV.
The 32-year-old actor – who plays protagonist Joe Goldberg in the upcoming Netflix series ‘You’, which sees a bookshop manager become obsessed with an aspiring female writer (Elizabeth Lail) – says the time is right to move away from stories dominated by white characters and tell the stories of previously marginalised ethnic groups.
Speaking to PinkNews.co.uk, Badgley said:”If anybody exists at any kind of intersection of oppression beyond the box of white male, I’d say let’s make damn sure that they’re being represented by the people who have lived this experience [and] not have people who haven’t lived the experience portraying them. Because then at the end of the day you’re getting a real portrayal.”
Scarlett Johansson recently came under fire after she was cast in a transgender role for the upcoming film ‘Rug & Tug’, and ultimately backed out due to mounting criticism, with people calling for a trans actor to play the trans role.
Opening up about if he agrees that a trans star should have got the part, Badgley said: “Yeah, I actually really like that idea, I do. I mean, I think there are a lot of people who would say, ‘Well, it’s actually and therefore…’ Yes, I think theoretically the idea that anybody should be able to play anybody is true. That’s only in theory.”
The ‘Gossip Girl’ heartthrob also confessed he is aware his “white privileged’, “male” status which helps him get chosen for roles, but he would like to see a society where there are equal opportunities for everyone.
He said: “In reality, we have basically, like, privileged ass white people playing everybody, and so we need to stop that. In theory, in a totally just society, yeah, anybody can play anybody and that would be great. But that’s not the world we live in. We live in a world that does not recognise virtually anyone outside of the white male or the beautiful white woman who has to be an object of desire and affection.”

Dick Van Dyke’s career approach has harmed his earnings

OHMYGOSSIP — Dick Van Dyke thinks his passion for “family-oriented entertainment” has cost him a lot of money during his career.
The 93-year-old star – who is synonymous with family-friendly fun – has claimed that his insistence on making a certain type of entertainment has been to his financial detriment.
Asked how he’d like the public to think of him, Dick explained: “That I lifted their worries a little bit. I’ve always tried to do family-oriented entertainment. I lost a lot of money over the years, turning down good parts because it didn’t fit my idea of the kind of entertainment I wanted to do.”
Dick made his TV debut in 1957 on ‘The Phil Silvers Show’ – but he insists there’s no magic formula behind his longevity in the entertainment business.
Speaking to the New York Times newspaper, he confessed: “I don’t know.
“I was talking to my good friend Bryan Cranston, who I met when he was on my detective show, ‘Diagnosis: Murder’. I was complimenting him on his [Lyndon B.] Johnson – it was insane how good he was. He said to prepare for the role, he watched miles and miles of film of him, then read everything that he could get his hands on.
“I told him: ‘My God. I just hit my marks and hope I think of something.’ I don’t do any background study or preparation.”
The veteran star admitted to being a “superficial actor”.
He recalled: “I once went to a dramatic coach years and years ago. I was playing a rather heavy part about an alcoholic. And he said, ‘Let’s look at the subtext’, and I said,’I beg your pardon?’ I’m strictly a superficial actor.”

Ben Whishaw will play Marilyn Monroe in his new play

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Whishaw will play Marilyn Monroe in his new play.
The 38-year-old actor will star in ‘Norma Jeane Baker Of Troy’, a new play by renowned playwright and poet, Anne Carson, and the ‘Paddington’ actor has revealed he’ll “sort of” be portraying the iconic actress and singer in the new production.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, he said: “It’s called ‘Norma Jeane Baker Of Troy’, Norma Jeane Baker was Monroe’s real name and the play’s about Marilyn Monroe – and I play her … sort of.”
The production, directed by Katie Mitchell, will feature singer Renee Fleming and will take place at The Shed, a new arts complex opening in Manhattan in the spring of 2019.
Ben recently landed a role in the highly anticipated musical sequel ‘Mary Poppins Returns’, in which he plays adult Michael Banks alongside Emily Mortimer, who portrays his sister Jane.
But despite his latest singing role, Ben has insisted that his new role as the iconic star is worlds away.
He said: “It’s about as far away from Mary Poppins as you could possibly go.”
Although Ben loved his role in the recent family film, he admitted that he felt a pressure to “honour” the original ‘Mary Poppins’ movie with the new sequel.
He previously said: “[The biggest challenge was] to pay homage in some way to the first and to honour it. But at the same time, not too much.
“To have the courage to make this new one our own as well – and it’s not a remake, it’s very much a sequel. It’s happening 20 to 30 years after the first. It’s very much its own thing.”

The 31-year-old singer topped the bill at her annual event – which raises money for the homeless charity – at the SSE Arena, Wembley, in North London, and delighted fans when, after belting out some of her classic hits including ‘Anything Could Happen’, ‘Burn’ and ‘Love Me Like You’, she finished her set with a performance of Mariah Carey’s festive classic, though she got some of her words confused.
Other performers at the concert included Bastille, Olly Alexander, Dua Lipa and Clean Bandit.
Dua’s huge single ‘New Rules’ proved to be the evening’s highlight, closing her brief set after renditions of ‘One Kiss’, ‘Electricity’ and ‘IDGAF’.
Clean Bandit performed ‘Symphony’, ‘Solo, ‘Baby’, ‘Rockabye’ and their megahit ‘Rather Be’, while Mabel made a brief appearance to sing ‘Finders Keepers’ and ‘Fine Line’

Richard Ashcroft still won’t comment on The Verve split

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Ashcroft admitted the Verve’s break-up was “heavy”.
The ‘Drugs Don’t Work’ hitmakers originally broke up in 1999 following the exit of guitarist Nick McCabe and briefly reformed in 2007 for an album and tour, but the 47-year-old singer has never spoken out about any of the rumours about why they went their separate ways – and he never will because he doesn’t want to “mess up” someone else.
Speaking on Radio X, he said: “I don’t want to be responsible for messing up someone. I don’t want to be responsible for that because the things that happened in The Verve, it was heavy stuff. It was real. It wasn’t just frivolous nonsense; you know what I mean?
“There was real people’s lives. It was real emotions, and I’ve never really thought about completely clarifying it because I know the damage that clarifying it will do.
“So I am prepared to take any bizarre misshapen f***ed-up version of that reality said by anyone. Any ex member of the band can say what the f**k they like, because I know the truth and I’m cool with it. And I know what I’ve done since the band, and I know what I’ll continue to do. Judge me by my works…”
However, while the ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ hitmaker doesn’t want to “burn people out publicly” there may come a time when he “writes the book” and reveals his truth.
He explained: “If you wanted me to give clarity on why or what was the main factor, what I’d be doing was changing… I made a decision quite a number of years ago that I’d see how it pans out.
“I’ll see if any other member tries to re-write history, you know. I’ll see how many bizarre takes on events stack up and then maybe one day I’ll go: ‘You know what? I’ll write the book’
“If I’m attempting to make myself the saint in this that would be wrong, but I think what has happened is, because I’ve kind of remained a bit silent on the subject, because I don’t want to burn people out publicly, I don’t want to just say ‘Here we go this is what I was dealing with’. I’m not that kind of guy.”

Michelle Visage has ‘long list’ of celeb guest for RuPaul’s Drag Race

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Visage has a “long list” of British icons she wants to appear as guest judges on the UK version of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’.
The 50-year-old judge has revealed she has requested ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ duo Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley – who played Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone respectively in the BBC comedy about two outrageous middle-aged women – to a have a celebrity guest spot on the iconic series that is hopping the pond for it’s first-ever UK series on BBC Three.
Michelle also admitted she doesn’t have the best knowledge of British television because she grew up in the United States, however she has recently learnt about CBBC show ‘Tracey Beaker’ – which was based on the Jacqueline Wilson book about a young girl who lives in a care home.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Michelle said: “I’ve sent in a list of who I liked. At the top was Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley. And Dawn French. I want the whole lot of them.
“I sent a really long list and people have to trust my list. I might not know who everybody is, I didn’t grow up watching British TV, I learned who Tracy Beaker is today.”
The British edition of the hit show is already looking for homegrown drag queens to star in the upcoming eight part series, and it’s set to put a whole new twist on the worldwide sensation.
It’s said Beeb bosses plan to follow a similar format to the US show, complete with the occasional British twist and some celebrity guests.
Michelle also confessed she does tune in to catch her favourite British shows, which include TV classics ‘Fawlty Towers’ and ‘Keeping Up Appearances’, as well as BBC soap ‘EastEnders’ and ITV favourite ‘Coronation Street’.
She added:”I watch a lot of British television but I can’t watch all of it. I can’t watch all of ‘Coronation Street’ or all of ‘EastEnders’. We’re going back years, I can’t watch all of it no matter how much time I have in the world.
“But there is shows I have seen over the years, ‘Keeping Up Appearances’, ‘Fawlty Towers’. I have never missed an episode of ‘Benidorm’ and other shows I absolutely love.
“As time goes on more people get added to my brain and to that list. British people have to trust my list is pretty thorough.”

Nicholas Hoult has a very naughty twinkle, says Olivia Colman

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Colman thinks Nicholas Hoult has a “very naughty twinkle”.
The 44-year-old actress stars alongside Nicholas, 29, in the acclaimed comedy-drama film ‘The Favourite’, and Olivia has admitted that he was the funniest of the movie’s star-studded cast.
Speaking about Nicholas – who plays the political schemer Robert Harley – Olivia shared: “He is funny anyway, he has a very naughty twinkle. When you put him in heels, a three-foot wig and lipstick … we couldn’t look him in the eye.”
Olivia also relished the experience of working with Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz on the film.
And in spite of their jam-packed schedules, the in-demand trio have managed to remain good friends since they finished shooting the movie.
Olivia told Screen Daily: “We hang out together and they come to my house for Sunday lunch.
“We also do a lot of WhatsApp, sending funny videos to each other. When we were at Venice Film Festival [for the film’s premiere], Rachel couldn’t attend because she’d just had her baby, so we all filmed a barbershop song and sent her a video.”
In fact, Olivia has described ‘The Favourite’ as the film she’s most enjoyed working on during her career.
The actress also hailed the role director Yorgos Lanthimos played in helping to lower their inhibitions prior to shooting the movie.
Recalling the three weeks the cast spent in rehearsals, the acclaimed star said: “We all giggled a lot. We played trust games, held hands, roughed and tumbled. We were like a bunch of kids.
“But there was method in his madness – he knew we could then go and do anything on set.”

Steve Carell ‘didn’t think twice’ about TV comeback

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve Carell “didn’t really think twice” about making a return to TV acting.
The 56-year-old star – who previously appeared in the American version of ‘The Office’ – has become one of Hollywood’s most bankable comedic performers over recent years, but Steve still jumped at the opportunity to work with Jennifer Aniston on a new TV show.
He teased: “It’s very well written, and there’s some co-stars and great directors. I didn’t really think twice about it.
“I don’t want to give too much away about the content itself, but I thought it was smart and interesting, and equal parts dramatic and funny. It doesn’t fall into a category.
“You can’t call it a drama or a comedy. It straddles that, which is interesting. And the actors that are in it are great. I’ve shot three episodes so far, and it’s been really wonderful.”
Jennifer, 49, and Reese Witherspoon are both serving as producers on the show.
And although Steve admitted there’s no guarantee it will be a success, he’s confident in the people he’s working with, saying Jennifer and Reese have “good pedigree”.
He told Collider: “When somebody suggested it and I was offered the part, I knew that Reese and Jennifer were producers and in it, and all of the producers involved are very high caliber. They’ve got a good pedigree, as they say.
“You never know, but with all of that, you hope it turns out well. So far, it feels really good.”
Steve also explained the show didn’t take “an easy approach to some of the themes” it explores.
He said: “You never know how stuff is gonna turn out, but it’s all good intentions.
“The scripts were very smart and didn’t take an easy approach to some of the themes that they were looking into, which is something.”

Leonardo DiCaprio’s foundation donates $100 million to climate change fight

OHMYGOSSIP — Leonardo DiCaprio’s charitable foundation has raised more than $100 million in the fight against climate change.
The Academy Award-winning actor has focused much of his attention on raising awareness of climate change over recent years, and his Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation – which he created in 1998 – has just surpassed the landmark figure.
A statement from DiCaprio on the foundation’s website read: “When I founded LDF 20 years ago, I did so based on the simple idea that we could make a real difference by directly funding some of the most effective environmental projects.
“Whether it be individuals, grassroots movements or major nonprofits, we wanted to focus on getting critical funding to those who could have the greatest impact.
“We are extremely proud to celebrate 20 years of this model. Since 1998, we have supported over 200 projects on every continent and in every ocean from habitat and species conservation, renewable energy, climate change, indigenous rights, and more.
“I am pleased to announce $11 million in new grants across our six program areas, bringing the total financial impact of LDF to over $100 million. (sic)”
DiCaprio, 44, produced and starred in the 2016 documentary film ‘Before the Flood’, which focused on the issue of climate change.
Speaking about the documentary, DiCaprio previously explained: “We went to every corner of the globe to document the devastating impacts of climate change and questioned humanity’s ability to reverse what may be the most catastrophic problem mankind has ever faced. There was a lot to take in.
“All that we witnessed on this journey shows us that our world’s climate is incredibly interconnected and that it is at urgent breaking point.
“We wanted to create a film that gave people a sense of urgency, that made them understand what particular things are going to solve this problem.”
