Corey Taylor hits out at Rick Rubin again over Slipknot’s Subliminal Verses

OHMYGOSSIP — Corey Taylor has hit out at Rick Rubin over his work on Slipknot’s ‘Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)’, insisting he “wasn’t there” enough.
The heavy metal band’s frontman felt the producer had around “six different projects going on” whenever they needed him, and the singer claims he didn’t see Rick more than once a week until it came to finishing the vocals for the group’s third studio album at his house.
He said: “I have learned from the Ross Robinson school of production.
“I loved it. Absolutely. It’s like, ‘There’s a reason I’m working with him – it’s because I can’t do it on my own. I wanna learn, I want a challenge – I want that.’
“When it came time to work with Rick, he just wasn’t f***ing there. He had six different projects going on, it felt like. It’s, like, ‘Oh, I’m working with U2 now.’
“And I’m, like, ‘We’re still in the f***ing studio, dude.’ Honestly, it wasn’t until we finished the vocals at his house that I saw him more than once a week.”
Despite the issues, Corey admits one of the highlights of the recording process was working with producer Greg Fidelman, who engineered and mixed the 2004 record, but the ‘Wait and Bleed’ hitmaker finds it tough to listen back to the album because it came at a time when he was starting to get sober.
He said: “I won’t get into the nuts and bolts of my issues, but we got a great album out of it – one that is hard for me to listen to.
“Because that was the album where I really started to get sober. So there’s a lot of that I can’t listen to.
“However, Greg, to me, was the best takeaway from that experience – working with Greg, and then getting to know Greg. And then Greg has gone on to do fucking everything, man.”
Slipknot have teamed up with Greg once again to work on their forthcoming sixth studio album, which Corey will spend the next couple of months on in a Los Angeles studio, and the singer admits the band have a “great rapport” with the producer.
Speaking on Dean Delray’s ‘Let There Be Talk’ podcast, he added: “He produced the song ‘All Out Life’ that we just put out. So we have a great rapport with him.
“He gets us, he challenges us, but he also knows when to get out of the way and just let us be us. So we have a great relationship with him.”

Charlotte Crosby bids farewell to Stephen Bear tattoos

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Crosby is finally bidding farewell to her tattoos by ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star has started laser removal surgery to get the half bear-half cheetah – which he carved into her as a tribute to himself because she got with him while in a relationship with someone else – on her back lasered off, as well as the basic fish her drew on her wrist, because she wants nothing more to do with the hunk following their messy split over a year ago.
Charlotte took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday (09.01.19) to share a video of her sitting in a surgeon’s chair having the unwanted inkings removed permanently.
Alongside a boomerang of her having her arm tattoo removed, she wrote: “goodbye”.
In a video, she said: “I am about to get, for the very first time, my tattoo on my back lasered … I am ready.”
Bear inked the tattoos on Charlotte for MTV show ‘Just Tattoo Of Us’.
A source previously said: “Charlotte is erasing the tattoos she had while she was with Stephen. Having them lasered off is like her closing a door on that chapter of her life. It’s really positive for her. She’s having the fish design, which he gave her on ‘Just Tattoo Of Us’, removed and the awful cheetah one she hates. Bear gave her that tattoo because he said she cheated on her ex Ash Harrison with him. It’s vile and she wants it gone forever. This year is all about Charlotte and she’s determined to leave bad news Bear behind her for good!”
And it’s not just the tattoos Bear gave her that she wants taken off her body, as she also decided to get the inking she had dedicated to her ex-boyfriend Mitch Jenkins lasered off the back of her arm.
Bear, 28, begged her to get back with him after he took responsibility for the demise of their 11-month relationship in December 2017.
Speaking a year ago, he wrote: “Dear Charlotte , I really messed up , if I can rewind the clock back maybe I wouldn’t of done the things I did and say. Life’s about making mistakes . I’ve just been really sad recently and I need to get it off my chest . I no being with me isn’t easy and I will probably send you insane in the end and I really do care and still love you . It might be too late but all I can do is try. The New Years coming up and I would love to spend the rest of my life with you.(sic)”
But he later told his followers she had shunned his attempts to get back together.

Penelope Cruz: Society tricks women

OHMYGOSSIP — Penelope Cruz thinks society “tricks” women.
The Oscar-winning actress – who has kids Leo, seven, and Luna, five, with fellow Hollywood star Javier Bardem – has hit out at what she perceives to be unrealistic expectations placed on women.
She explained: “There are so many taboos related to women.
“You realise when you go through the whole process [of becoming a parent] that society tricks women a lot – and men too.”
Penelope stressed that women – regardless of whether they have children or not – are already like real-life superheroes.
The 44-year-old actress told Marie Claire magazine: “This image society gives you – that you have to be a super-woman, that you need to be out of hospital in 24 hours, wearing high heels. No, you already are a superwoman!
“We’re all superwomen – those of us who have children and those of us who don’t.”
Penelope previously claimed that becoming a mother has transformed her outlook on life.
The brunette beauty explained that having children has helped her to develop a new perspective, meaning she’s now able to respond to minor concerns in a more philosophical way.
Speaking in 2017, she shared: “I used to be so afraid about what people were going to think of me, if I was going to be accepted, if I was going to be loved.
“I put a lot of energy into the perception of myself. When I became a mother – almost seven years ago – something very deep changed in me, where I really don’t care about a lot of the stuff I used to care about before.
“That’s part of growing up, and now I have to go through other tests that life will put in front of me. I have new fears now.”

Rosario Dawson admits to wasting years of her life being negative

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosario Dawson thinks she’s wasted years of her life being unnecessarily negative.
The 39-year-old actress is determined to adopt a more positive approach to the rest of her life, admitting she’s “spent a lot of the time over the years being way too critical or harsh”.
Rosario – who has an adopted teenage daughter called Lola – explained: “We have so much negativity and ugliness out there and we get so critical and so angry, depressed, and when you’re in that space, you build from that space.
“I just want to build from the love that I have. I’m in an amazing place with my daughter, and with my friends and my family. It’s rough out there. I just want to enjoy myself as much as I can along the way.”
Rosario said that as she approaches her landmark 40th birthday, she’s been reflecting on some of her past mistakes.
And in retrospect, the ‘Luke Cage’ star wishes she’d previously been more positive and forgiving of herself and other people in her life.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I definitely spent a lot of the time over the years being way too critical or harsh. I’m going to be 40 this year.
“When you look back, you’re like, ‘Wow, that was a long time [of me being hard on myself].’ Maybe it wasn’t all in one long run, but when you add it all together that’s crazy. That’s a significant chunk of my life. Ultimately things could be better, but they could definitely be worse.”
Rosario is also determined that her daughter will learn from her mistakes.
She said: “Who knows how much time we have on this planet, and trying to avoid discomfort doesn’t work. You have to sometimes just rip the Band-Aid off and say, ‘Hey, that bothered me,’ or, ‘Hey, can we talk about this?’ and just keep it moving…
“If I can pass this idea to my kid, of not being perfect, working through whatever flaws, mistakes and problems, and being stronger and more knowledgeable [that’s great].”

The pop star – who has 70.9 million followers on Instagram – continued: “This is absolutely harmful to anyone who is easily influenced by societal pressures put on us from the diet culture to constantly be losing weight in a world that teaches us to equate our value and worth with the way we look and especially anyone in recovery from an eating disorder.
“Especially when eating disorders are all about “control”.
“So please Instagram, keep this off mine and other’s feeds who could be easily effected by this disgusting advertisement.
“With how aware people are becoming of mental health and mental illnesses, I expect you guys to know better by allowing this advertisement to be allowed on your app. And shame on the game. (sic)”

Leigh-Anne Pinnock feels relieved after speaking out against racism

OHMYGOSSIP — Leigh-Anne Pinnock felt like a “weight was lifted” off her shoulders after she openly discussed racism within the music industry.
The 27-year-old singer – who stars alongside Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Jesy Nelson in Little Mix – recently spoke about how she felt “invisible” in the band, and revealed she’d been warned that as a black woman, she’d need to work twice as hard to make it in the industry.
Reflecting on her decision to speak out, Leigh-Anne explained: “I’ve kept it in me for seven years and it just felt like such a weight was lifted when I said the words.
“There is such a problem with racism, so to actually just say it and have so many people of colour message me and thank me for saying something…”
Despite the troubles she’s faced, Leigh-Anne is glad she decided to speak out – and insisted she’s proud of who she is and what she’s already achieved.
She told the Guardian newspaper: “I remember when I used to cry about it to my manager I used to be like: ‘Why do I feel like this?’ and she’d never say it, and I’d never say it. It was really strange. Now, though, oh my God, I’m so proud of this skin.”
By contrast, Leigh-Anne previously admitted to feeling insecure during her first few years in Little Mix.
She said: “During the first couple of years of being in the band, I did feel invisible. I remember crying to my manager regularly, I just couldn’t seem to find my place and didn’t know why.
“I didn’t feel like I had as many fans as the other girls. It was a strange feeling. I never thought that it was because I was the darkest member of the band. I felt overlooked. So I did everything to make myself more noticed, convinced I wasn’t good enough.”

Alongside a short video clip of John photographing her, Chrissy – who has more than 21 million followers on the platform – wrote: “thank u for always supporting my Instagram dreams. Meanwhile, Chrissy previously claimed that the internet has changed her life.

Chrissy also claimed that one of the keys to her relationship with John is that they have contrasting personalities.
She explained: “He’s quieter than me, which isn’t saying much. But he’s more thoughtful, whereas I’m spur of the moment.
“I can’t hide things very well. If I feel it, you’ll see it on my face, but he’s better at covering. I was never that big into music. Still to this day, I’m very Top 40. And I’m more emotion-based than him. I can see everybody’s side of an argument.”

Olivia Colman hates being judged by critics

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Colman dreads being judged by critics.
The 44-year-old actress is currently one of the most in-demand stars in the TV and film business, but Olivia has admitted she doesn’t enjoy having her on-screen efforts judged by strangers.
Asked whether she finds the scrutiny hard to deal with, Olivia explained: “I love doing the work so much, it’s almost a shame that people have to see it.”
The actress stars alongside Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz in the new Yorgos Lanthimos-directed drama ‘The Favourite’.
And Olivia – who plays the role of Queen Anne in the movie – is relieved that it’s been so warmly received by fans and critics.
She told the Belfast Telegraph newspaper: “People who weren’t there get to say what they think about it, which is quite hard.
“But the fact that people have loved ‘The Favourite’ as much as I have loved it just fills my heart with such joy.”
Olivia also claimed that the film serves as something of “a litmus test”.
She explained: “If somebody goes, ‘No, I didn’t like it’, I sort of think I wouldn’t like them – ‘Well okay we’re never going to get on’ – which is a little bit narrow-minded of me. But I love it so much that I love it when other people love it.”
Olivia put on over two stone in weight for her part in the movie, and the actress recently admitted she found the experience to be “quite fun”.
She said: “I had to put on a lot of weight for it, so that was quite fun.
“She was very big and he [director Yorgos Lanthimos] wanted to see that on camera … and I didn’t want to use prosthetics, so I spent a few months eating, which was enjoyable, but then became quite depressing. Because it goes on so easily but, gosh, it doesn’t come off as easily!”

Emma Watson: I feel inspired by the Time’s Up movement

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Watson feels “inspired” by the achievements of the Time’s Up movement.
The 28-year-old actress has revealed in a new Instagram post that she’s “optimistic” about a “fairer future” for women thanks to the work of the campaign, which was created in light of the Hollywood sex scandal to fight against sexual harassment.
Emma wrote: “Thank you to everyone who has been part of TIME’S UP over the past year. [love heart emoji] From my sisters in the film industry to the activists and campaigners around the world who have supported us, I’ve been so inspired by the way people have reached out to each other, shared experiences and advice, and organised together as part of this movement for change. [Earth emoji] Gender equality can only become a reality if we harness the transformative power of solidarity across professions and across borders. (sic)”
Emma added that although problems and concerns persist, she is optimistic that more progress will be made in the coming months and years.
The ‘Beauty and the Beast’ star said: “There’s still a long way to go, but the achievements so far make me optimistic for a fairer future. 2018 was just the beginning. (sic)”
Emma previously said that she was determined to encourage women to “feel free”.
Speaking about her feminist beliefs and ambitions, the Hollywood star explained: “We want to empower women to do exactly what they want, to be true to themselves, to have the opportunities to develop. Women should feel free.

Margot Robbie says make-up in Mary Queen of Scots made her ‘safe’

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie felt “safer” wearing heavy make-up in ‘Mary Queen of Scots’.
The 28-year-old actress plays Queen Elizabeth I in the historical drama film, and Margot has admitted she relished her less-than-glamorous appearance in the film.
She shared: “I feel like I’m more hidden when I’m behind the make-up.”
Margot explained that her striking appearance in the movie also helped her performance, allowing the actress to detach her real-life self from her on-screen character.
Speaking to the Sunday Telegraph newspaper in Australia, Margot shared: “It makes me feel safer in some ways. I actually feel more vulnerable when I’m dressed similarly to myself. It’s also harder to disassociate myself from the character.
“But playing Queen Elizabeth, I didn’t recognise myself, and obviously, I didn’t sound like myself. So the process of becoming her gave me time to stop being myself and made it easier to transform.”
Margot stars in the movie alongside Saoirse Ronan, who plays the part of Mary Stuart.
And Saoirse recently revealed that being asked to lead the movie by director Josie Rourke helped her in both a “personal and professional sense”.
She said: “Making the film was brilliant for me in a personal as well as a professional sense.
“I was being prepared to be thrown out into the world in a way I hadn’t been before. With that comes fear. The fear of having to make decisions that hadn’t really been laid on me before.
“The kind of decisions that weren’t going to make that person over there happy, but one that’s right for me. Honestly playing Mary gave me that strength.
“Ultimately when it came to work, I always knew what I wanted to do and what I didn’t want to do. But it’s very easy to say this is the thing I want to do, and hard to say this isn’t what I want to do.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian thinks having another baby would make her feel “even more complete”.
The 34-year-old reality star – who has eight-month-old daughter True with NBA player Tristan Thompson – has admitted she’s undecided about whether she wants to have another child.
Asked about the possibility of having a second baby, Khloe wrote on Twitter: “Goodness I don’t know! I love [True] so much and I’m so complete because of her! (sic)”
Although Khloe confessed that having another child might make her feel “more complete”, she remains uncertain.
She said: “I could only imagine another one would make me feel even more complete but I just don’t know. I guess only time will tell and whatever God wants for me. (sic)”
Earlier this month, an insider claimed that Kim Kardashian West’s baby news is “heavily influencing” her sisters’ baby plans.
The brunette beauty is reportedly expecting her fourth child, and second via surrogate, with husband Kanye West.
And after three of the famous sisters – Kim, Khloe and Kylie Jenner – all welcomed children in early 2018, the siblings are said to be considering joining Kim in having another tot.
A source said: “Kim having another baby this year is heavily influencing her other sisters and their baby plans. They all loved being pregnant at the same time and everyone wants all of the kids to be close in age. Everyone jokes about having another round of ‘triplets’ all the time.”
Kim – who has kids North, five, Saint, three, and 11-month-old Chicago – previously claimed that having children has helped her to feel “more connected” with her own sisters.
She said: “I definitely feel like we are more connected now, especially that Khloe’s back and we’re hanging out with all the babies. All the kids want to hang out. It’s just a whole different experience now. It’s so much fun.”

Kevin Hart posts cryptic message about ‘learning’ amid Oscars talk

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Hart has posted a cryptic message about “growth” and “learning” on his Instagram account.
The 39-year-old comedian – who stepped down from hosting the Oscars last month amid criticism of old homophobic tweets – has taken to the photo-sharing website to stress the importance of learning from past experiences.
He wrote: “When did we get to the point where we forgot that we all learn, then we all have the ability to grow and with that growth comes a wealth of knowledge. You can’t change without a understanding of what GROWTH means. Please grasp this and use it in 2019. (sic)”
The ‘Night School’ star also included a screenshot of a few examples to reinforce his point.
It read: “Basketball players aren’t great until they LEARN how to play the game correctly. Teachers are great teachers when they LEARN how to get thru to kids correctly. Architects become great at their job when they LEARN how to build correctly (sic)”
Kevin stepped down as the Oscars host shortly after he was awarded the role.
But the comedian recently confirmed – during a conversation with Ellen DeGeneres on her TV show – that he is still “evaluating” the possibility of hosting the Oscars.
Speaking to Ellen – a former host of the annual awards ceremony – Kevin said: “You have put a lot of things on my mind.
“Leaving here, I’m promising you I’m evaluating this conversation. This is a conversation I needed to have.
“I’m glad that I had it here. And I’m glad that it was as authentic and real as I could have hoped that it would be.
“Let me assess, just to sit in the space and really think and you and I will talk before anything else. That’s my plan.”

Kate Beckinsale’s teary photo shoots

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Beckinsale used to spend photo shoots in tears.
The 45-year-old actress – who has daughter Lily, 19, with former partner Michael Sheen – still doesn’t feel entirely comfortable in front of the camera but admitted she’s never been particularly glamorous in her everyday life.
She said: “I can’t help feeling everybody would rather have a model. Almost every photoshoot I did before the age of 25 I would at some point be crying in the bathroom.
“It wasn’t until my late 20s that I started feeling a bit more confident. In films I’d look alright, but in my personal life, I was literally in pyjamas and cutting my hair with nail scissors.”
But the ‘Farming’ actress feels grateful she’s never felt defined by her appearance because that would have made her “tiresome”.
She said: “I wasn’t someone who felt defined by what I looked like. I’m glad I wasn’t thinking I was hot s**t back then, it makes for a tiresome person.”
While Kate will accept compliments about her looks, she doesn’t want to be seen as just a pretty face, especially as she can’t help her appearance.
She said: “It’s not annoying if somebody pays a nice compliment but if people think that my looks are all that’s going on, it’s a bit tiresome. It’s also nothing to do with me.
“This is what my parents made, I can’t take any credit for it.
“My mum looks amazing, she looks 30 years younger than she is.”
For her latest role in ‘Farming’, Kate’s make-up artist took great pleasure in making her look dowdy for her role as an abusive, neglectful foster parent.
She added to Tatler magazine: “My make-up artist was very excited to paint my teeth brown and put wrinkles on me.
“What I liked so much about the character is that even though she did some [questionable] thngs, it’s still a love story between a boy and his mother.”

Claire Richards’ age worries

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire Richards suffered “panic attacks” as she worried about turning 40.
The Steps singer – who has children Charlie, 11, and Daisy, eight, with husband Reece Hill – celebrated the milestone birthday in August 2017 and initially found the idea of the landmark age a big struggle, but her fears went away not long after the date had passed.
She said: “For the two years leading up to it, I was terrified and having panic attacks, thinking, ‘Oh my God, it’s all over.’
“But it’s so weird, I woke up a couple of weeks after my birthday and thought, ‘I feel really good.’
“Now I accept my flaws and I’m happy with myself.”
The ‘My Heart Is Heading Home (This Christmas)’ singer feels lucky to have such a supportive husband and admitted their physical attraction to one another is still a huge part of their relationship.
She said: “Sex is definitely a big part of our relationship and always has been. He’s a good-looking man. We still really fancy each other.
“Plus, I know it sounds cheesy but he is my best friend.
“I always knew he was The One I’m really lucky.”
Claire recently spoke of how she became more confident after having children.
Speaking about her solo song ‘Brave’ – which draws inspiration from her kids – she revealed: “When we sat down to write that all I knew is that I wanted to write a song with my children in mind either for them or about them.
“It’s about how they make me brave.
“It’s a bit soppy but before I had kids, I was always a little bit stand in the background and I wouldn’t really say boo to a goose, but I’ve kind of found my voice a little bit and it’s because of them.
“It’s about how I will always be there for them, and be there protecting them, it’s thanks to them that I’m brave enough to do that.”

The 37-year-old singer shared a photo of her own and Gianna’s hands on Instagram and wrote: “Gianna Iman walker Born 1/ 4/19 7 Lbs 15oz.
“Our lives are forever changed (sic)”

And LeToya also used the social media app to announce her pregnancy by posting a cute video featuring her six-year-old stepdaughter Madison.
In the clip, the youngster said: “Hi, my name is Madison Walker. I know something you don’t know.
“Mmm, I think I’ll give you a hint. I’m going to sing you a song.
“Daddy and Ms. Toya sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Eww, gross! First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby! (sic)”
Madison then held up a number of ultrasound pictures in between footage of LeToya and Tommicus’ wedding.

Kendall Jenner to share ‘raw story’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner is to reveal her most “raw story” on Sunday (06.01.19) evening.
The 23-year-old model has been praised by her mother Kris Jenner for her bravery after making the decision to speak out on a mystery issue in order to help her fans.
Kris wrote on Instagram: “I’m so proud of my darling @KendallJenner for being so brave and vulnerable. Seeing you share your most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you’ve become. Make sure to watch Kendall’s Twitter on Sunday night to find out what I’m talking about and be prepared to be moved. #bethechange #shareyourstory #changetheconversation #proudmom #finallyasolution #authenticity #mydaughterinspiresme #getready (sic)”
The 63-year-old momager’s post was accompanied by a short clip featuring Kendall – who turned 23 in November – insisting she is “very normal” and pledging to help others.
She said: “When I was 14, I couldn’t reach as many people that I can now that I’m 22. Now I have this whole thing behind me, I can speak to so many people and be like, ‘I can help you and it’s OK.’
“I experience it. I’m very normal. I understand you. I can connect with you.”
While it is unclear what the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star’s revelation will be, Kendall has previously spoken candidly about her struggles with anxiety, admitting she is a “hypochondriac” who always worries about illness.
She said: “Since I was a kid, I’ve always been a hypochondriac. I’ve always been the worst hypochondriac. But now I have to try and be a big girl.”
The reality television star had hundreds of dollars of jewellery stolen from her home in 2017, while her older sister Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in 2016, and all that has contributed to Kendall feeling unsafe.
She admitted: “There’s a lot that happened this past year, starting with like, Kim’s robbery. Then I got robbed, and I had my stalkers. That’s why I don’t really like going out anymore. That’s why I don’t tweet, that’s why I don’t Instagram. That gives me anxiety, too. I swear, it’s the craziest thing.”
