Duchess Meghan reveals baby is due in April

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Meghan is due to give birth in April.
The 37-year-old royal let slip when she is set to welcome her baby into the world as she and her husband Prince Harry, 34, embarked on their first joint engagement of the year in the North West English town of Birkenhead on Monday morning (14.01.19).
The duchess – who was known as Meghan Markle before she married into the British Royal Family – also spilled to well-wishers that neither she nor Harry, 34, know the gender of the baby as they want it to be a “surprise”.
Local woman Kim Thompson, who spoke with Meghan during the visit, told the Daily Mail: “She said she is six months pregnant and due at the end of April, beginning of May.
“Another woman in the crowd joked that she was a trained midwife. Meghan said that one of her friends had [given birth] five weeks early and [the midwife] said the baby comes when they are ready.
“I said, as long as they are healthy, and Meghan agreed. Then she said, pointing to Harry, ‘He’s going to make a fantastic father.’ Harry was asking a mum how she spelled her daughter’s name – Lily.”
Another local woman, Sonia Richards, revealed: “I told her I teach hypnobirthing and she said, ‘It’s such a special thing that you are doing’. She looked radiant, she looked really well and I just wished her a wonderful birth.”
The Duchess of Sussex was wearing a purple dress from Babaton by Aritizia paired with a red coat from Canadian brand Sentaler.
The royal accessorised the vibrant ensemble with a Hearst brown leather ‘bowling’ bag and vertiginous red stilettos while wearing her brunette tresses in a sleek chiffon bun.

Westlife were a ‘bunch of lunatics’ on first tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Westlife aren’t the same “lunatics” they were on their first tour.
The ‘If I Let You Go’ hitmakers are gearing up for their 20th anniversary tour, which kicks off on May 28 at Glasgow’s The SSE Hydro, and band member Kian Egan has reflected on their early days and how they’ve since tamed their partying ways since all of them, apart from Mark Feehily, became fathers.
Speaking to Magic Radio, Kian – who is also joined by Shane Filan and Nicky Byrne in the band – laughed: “The first tour was probably verging on being a bunch of lunatics. Obviously three of us have children and I think our lives have changed an awful lot. We can’t get past 10.30pm before falling asleep.”
Mark hinted that the band’s forthcoming album – which is as-yet-untitled – could arrive in November.
He said: It’s November. … I’m just guessing. I’m guessing because every single album was released in November bar one.”
And as for whether or not they will be including their signature “stool rise” in their live shows, the ‘Flying Without Wings’ hitmakers weren’t willing to give anything away.
Kian quipped: “I think Simon Cowell designed it to elevate the moment. (jokes) Also, Simon invented standing on a chair.”
And Nicky added: “No, we can’t confirm that (it’ll feature). You’ll have to buy the ticket and see. You never know what you get.”
The chart-topping Irishmen – who released their Ed Sheeran-penned comeback single ‘Hello My Love’ last week – also made some suggestions as to who would play them in a Westlife biopic, with Shane and Nicky aiming high with their tongue-in-cheek choices of Hollywood hunks Tom Cruise and Ryan Gosling.
Shane said: “I’m going to go with Tom Cruise.”
Nicky, who then decided that renowned Irish-American dancer-and-choregrapher Michael Flatley would probably suit him better, joked: “I don’t have the same abs as Ryan Gosling but I’m not far off … I think a young Michael Flatley could have played Shane. Who was a fantastic dancer. I can dance like Michael Flatley.”

Bros announce first London show in two years

OHMYGOSSIP — Bros have announced a comeback concert in London.
Luke and Matt Goss will play London’s O2 Academy Brixton on July 5, following the huge interest in the siblings’ documentary ‘Bros: After The Screaming Stops’, which looked at their bitter rivalry which led to their acrimonious split in 1992.
During their appearance on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Monday morning (14.01.19) Luke said: “We’re gonna do some shows. July 5 we’re gonna play Brixton Academy.
“Tickets will go on sale January 19 and there’s gonna be more. We’re gonna play some shows this year in the UK and around the world.”
Since playing their 30th anniversary shows in 2017, Luke and Matt have vowed to never break up again because they’ve realised that the “incredible journey” that they’ve been on with their fans made at the height of their fame, in the late 80s, isn’t over yet.
Luke said previously: “We’ve made our decision that Bros will never disband again. We’re still on an incredible journey with our community of fans. We are brothers for life.”
Meanwhile, Matt admitted it was tough to make the film because it meant giving up his privacy.
The ‘When Will I Be Famous?’ hitmaker said: “We value our privacy most of all, which is why we’ve never milked our celebrity status for reality TV – so it was a fearful decision. This film nearly broke me. I didn’t want to finish it at one point. I just wanted to go home. I had my life and I love singing but it was starting to get too painful and our relationship was in real jeopardy.”
Bros released three studio albums, ‘Push’, ‘The Time’ and ‘Changing Faces’ between 1988 and 1991.
Tickets for the Brixton date go on sale on Friday (19.01.19) from 9am.
More shows are expected to be announced by the duo in the coming months.

Lady Gaga’s Golden Globes Judy Garland tribute was accidental

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga says her fashion homage to Judy Garland at the Golden Globes happened by accident.
The ‘A Star Is Born’ actress walked the red carpet at the event in a long flowing blue gown which many commentators interpreted as a tribute to the dress Garland wore in the 1954 version of the film.
However, Gaga insists she was totally unaware of the similarities between the two gowns until it was pointed out to her after the ceremony.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’ on the red carpet of the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards, the pop superstar said: “Yeah, it’s so funny, it’s so interesting because I hadn’t thought about it but then looking at the dress and looking at the photos side by side, it really was an homage … but by accident.”
Gaga, 32, accessorised her blue Valentino dress at the Golden Globes
with $5 million worth of Tiffany & Co. jewellery, including the Aurora necklace, a sustainably sourced piece that had been custom made just for her and which featured 300 brilliant diamonds with a pear-shaped stone at the center.
Her stylists, Tom Eerebout and Sandra Amador, thought the “exquisite” accessory was just the showstopper Gaga needed to kick off her awards season red carpet appearances.
Eerebout said: “The Tiffany Aurora necklace, specially crafted for Lady Gaga and today’s Globes, captures the majestic nature of her dress perfectly. Because this is such a special moment – her first major award show of the season – we wanted the jewelry and dress to complement each other.”
Amador added: “What could be more fitting than this exquisite custom piece, named after the goddess of dawn and a cluster of stars, to mark Lady Gaga’s wonderful work in ‘A Star Is Born’?”
As well as the necklace, Gaga also sported $115,000 diamond and platinum cluster earrings and a trio of bracelets.

Charlize Theron’s kids tell her to dress like a mermaid on the red carpet

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlize Theron’s children tell her to dress as a “mermaid or a unicorn” on the red carpet.
The 43-year-old actress – who has two children, son Jackson, seven and daughter August, three – has revealed that her kids “love” to have a say in what their mother wears when she’s heading to a glamorous Hollywood event but there tips don’t always make sense.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’ at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards about whether her children have an input in that she wears, Charlize said: “Oh, yeah, definitely. They love it. They love saying things just for the sake of saying them, it makes no sense. There’s usually a throwback to a mermaid or a unicorn. It makes no sense, but we just go like this.”
Charlize’s next project will see her star as American TV presenter Megyn Kelly in Jay Roach’s upcoming drama about the fall of Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, which is tentatively titled ‘Fair and Balanced’.
The upcoming movie focuses on the real life experiences of a variety of women who worked at Fox News who decided to fight back against sexual harassment and intimidation, which led to Ailes being fired by the TV network.
The Academy Award winner insists the movie tells a very “important” story for women and directly relate to the Time’s Up and #MeToo campaigns that began after the Harvey Weinstein Hollywood sex scandal.
Charlize said: “Just a great team of people, a great script and I think a very important story for where we are right now and this movement for women. This story – the year-and-a-half, two-year span that we cover – was the catalyst in many ways for where we are today and where we’re going in the future, so that to me felt like an important thing to tap into and also just really entertaining.”

Rita Ora is Escada’s new brand ambassador

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora is Escada’s new brand ambassador.
The 28-year-old singer has teamed up with the German label to become the face of the brand and is set to appear in their spring campaign in which she has customised the Escada Heart bag in an exclusive bright red shade.
Rita was drawn to Escada because she has huge admiration for founder Margaretha Ley, who created the brand in 1978 with Wolfgang Ley.
Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily, the ‘Anywhere’ hitmaker said: “Escada was a brand that I grew up with, I remember seeing their campaigns as a child and thinking the women look so powerful yet relatable. The brand has always championed the message of designing for a woman by a woman.”
Escada has had its image rejuvenated under their new global design director, Niall Sloan, and he says Rita has been made the face of the brand because she is such a “strong woman” and represents the company’s values.
Sloan said: “She is a true Escada woman. Our founder made her name dressing strong women, she armed them with a wardrobe to break glass ceilings in business in the 70s, 80s and 90s and Rita embodies the spirit of those women.”
Rita’s customised Heart bag will be going on sale online and in stores from March 26 and a percentage of the money made through sales of the bag will be donated to the charity Women for Women, which helps support women in conflict areas such as Rita’s home country of Kosovo.
Speaking about the charity initiative, the pop star said: “The charity helps women get back on their feet and that’s very special to me. It goes back to Escada’s DNA and what they stand for.”

Piers Morgan says he was half-sedated when he posted hospital pic

OHMYGOSSIP — Piers Morgan says he was “half-sedated” when he posted the picture of himself in hospital on Twitter last week and had forgotten he had shared the image with his 6.52 million followers.
The 53-year-old television presenter claimed on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Monday morning (14.01.19) he was still anaesthetised when he uploaded a photo of himself in a hospital bed with breathing tubes up his nose last Friday (11.01.19) and was unaware of what he was doing following thousands of messages from concerned fans.
He said: “I have this thing bothering me – stomach-related – so eventually I went and had all these tests done and one of them is when they stuff this big tube down your throat…
“They give you the choice, ‘Do you want to just have a bit of spray and go for it with this thing jammed down our throat … or do you want the sedative?’
“I said, ‘What would you all do?’ and the doctors and nurses said you’ve got to have the sedative, 20 per cent go without it and they gag and puke and all that and it’s horrible. I had the sedative and you’re supposed to stay awake while it’s happening you’re kind of aware but the next thing I know I woke up in recovery.
“It’s all over, done, didn’t remember a thing. I had my phone on me and basically in that picture I’m still half-sedated but my phone was near me and they all left the room to leave me to it. I got the phone and I had no idea I’d done this…”
He further explained that after resting at home, he awoke to find that there had been a huge response over the hospital photo, which he was oblivious to have posted.
He said: “I wake up and there’s like a thousand messages saying, ‘What’s happened? Are you alive? What’s going on? And I thought, ‘What have I done?’ ”

Holly Willoughby questions Gemma Collins’ professionalism on Dancing On Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby has accused Gemma Collins of displaying a lack of “professionalism” by leaving ‘Dancing On Ice’ 15 minutes early on Sunday night (13.01.19).
Kem Cetinay – who is This Morning’s backstage reporter on the ITV talent show – revealed on Monday (14.01.19) that the 37-year-old ‘TOWIE’ star left the live broadcast before the end because she was a “bit bored”.
‘Dancing On Ice’ hosts Holly and Phillip Schofield – who also helm ‘This Morning’ – were left flabbergasted by her “diva” attitude and Holly insists she needs to have more “pride” in her work.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Monday (14.01.19), Kem revealed why Gemma was missing in action, saying: “We went into the live show, and then the last quarter of the show, she went home.
“Well I didn’t know she went until after but then we saw this video and I was thinking, I don’t know where Gemma is and I went to her dressing room and she wasn’t there. So I did speak to her after and she said she was a bit bored, but she does love skating.”
Holly then gave her opinion on The GC’s no-show, saying: “The thing is I really love Gemma, you know I’m a big fan of Gemma’s and I think she’s great on the show I do, but I think there has to be a bit of professionalism that comes into any work you do, just a bit of pride in your work.”
Phil then scornfully added: “In all the years I’ve been in television, I have never kept a studio waiting.”
Explaining Gemma’s excuse for her behaviour, Kem said: “I think, she says it’s not Gemma Collins, that’s The GC.”
But Holly was in no mood to indulge Gemma’s diva alter ego.
The presenter said: “But then that’s absolute rubbish, that’s just a really good excuse to get away with stuff you don’t want to do. I love that side of her, I do love it, but I do think professionalism will always outweigh that diva behaviour.”

Saira Khan’s age and inexperience worried Dancing On Ice’s Mark Hanretty

OHMYGOSSIP — Saira Khan’s ‘Dancing On Ice’ partner was worried about her age and lack of experience.
The 48-year-old television presenter has been paired with pro skater Mark Hanretty on the BBC show, and he has admitted he has his reservations when he found out she would be his celebrity for the series.
Appearing on Saira’s ‘Loose Women’ panel show on Monday (14.01.19), he said: “As skaters, we’re inherently competitive and we know that this show does favour the young, history tells us that, and those that have got a performance background.
“Saira comes into it, one of the older ladies in the competition, you don’t dance, you don’t sing, you don’t act. I’d heard on the rumour mill that in the masterclass with Torvill and Dean, you were the worst.”
Despite not being too optimistic before rehearsals began, Mark – who added he does thing older stars can still be good skaters – admitted he was impressed with Saira’s “work ethic”.
Saira and Mark’s routine – set to ‘Express Yourself’ by Madonna – did enough to earn them a score of 19.5 from the judges, which meant they avoided a spot on the skate-off.
And the star was delighted with her time on the ice and admitted she put her own enjoyment over technical precision.
She added: “I had the time of my life. The skating went out of the window, and I thought ‘I’m just going to have fun’ – and it paid off!”
Saira was joined by ‘Loose Women’ co-stars Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Andrea McLean for her performance, and she admitted it gave her a big boost.
She said: “It was amazing! I think the best part was seeing the three of you sitting behind me, it just gave me so much energy. What was brilliant was I knew you had no idea what to expect!”

James McAvoy didn’t realise ‘Split’ was a sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — James McAvoy didn’t realise that ‘Split’ was a sequel to ‘Unbreakable’ when he was shooting the movie.
The 39-year-old actor played multiple-personality sufferer Kevin Wendell Crumb in M. Night Shyamalan’s 2016 psychological thriller ‘Split’ – a man who has 24 different personalities and kidnaps three teenage girls whilst moving towards becoming his darkest alter ego The Beast.
McAvoy reprises his role in new film ‘Glass’ – which completes the trilogy which began with ‘Unbreakable’ – but he has now confessed that it took him a “few weeks” to realise that ‘Split’ was a follow-up to the 2000 hit film, which starred Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.
In an interview with website DigitalSpy, he said: “I read the first version of ‘Split’ that I got sent and there was a little tenuous clue there – if I had been sharper eyed, I’d have seen it, but I missed it. I got into rehearsals and he kept talking about ‘Unbreakable’. And then it became clear, it dawned on me, the veil was lifted and I was like, ‘Oh my God’. Then a few weeks after that, I came clean with him and I was like, ‘Dude, I did not get that at all.’ I think he realised that the little clue he was giving everybody just needed to be amped up and he ended up coming up with a really cool scene at the end as well.”
Despite it taking McAvoy a while to come to understand with his director was doing, it was always Shyamalan’s plan to link the Scottish actor’s alter ego Kevin Wendell Crumb to Willis’ super strong character David Dunn and Elijah Price, played by Jackson.
The director previously said: “It always evolves a little bit. Essentially, it was this. It was this guy going to fight this guy to prove this guy’s theory. These three were always tied in that triangle.”

Prada’s latest collection inspired by Frankenstein’s monster

OHMYGOSSIP — Prada’s latest collection was inspired by Frankenstein’s monster.
Miuccia Prada has revealed that her autumn/winter 2019 collection – which she debuted in Milan on Sunday night (13.01.19) – was based on Mary Shelley’s Gothic novel which follows the story of Victor Frankenstein as he creates a sapient creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment.
Speaking to the Guardian newspaper, she said: “Frankenstein is an example of a monster with a big heart, so that was the main idea.”
The collection included roughly stitched knitwear emblazoned with images of large red hearts, shirts with prints of limbs; khaki coats and long padded bomber jackets, skirts and bandeau dresses, and backpacks which were strapped across models chests.
The designer reportedly stated that she was drawn to Shelley’s novel due to the author’s story anonymously releasing her work because her gender meant she could not publicly publish the story.
The 69-year-old designer went on to explain that she wants her brand to be aware of “what is happening outside of fashion” and wishes to translate this into her designs.
She said: “[As a designer] you have the problem of how do you translate what is happening outside in fashion without being pretentious – you can’t be pretentious in fashion.
“I am aware of all the problems but we are still a luxury company, so you can do a lot. But I always have to be careful of what I say.”
Meanwhile, the fashion icon recently received the Outstanding Achievement Award at last year’s Fashion Awards for her enormous contribution to the world of fashion and design.
British Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful – who is a member of the British Fashion Council – has praised Prada as “a genius”.
He said: “Mrs Prada is the most revered, most inspirational and probably the most copied designer of her generation.
“She has trained people’s eyes to a new way of dressing, one that is not based on the classic idea of the female form. She’s a genius!”

Denise Welch had ‘no idea’ Linda Robson was ‘struggling’

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Welch “feels so sorry” for Linda Robson.
The 60-year-old presenter admitted that she had “no idea” her fellow ‘Loose Women’ panellist – who sparked concern for her health when police and paramedics visisted her home twice over Christmas over fears she was close to a breakdown – was “struggling”, and she has urged anyone who needs help to “reach out”.
In an interview with New magazine, she said: “I had no idea she was struggling. I love Linda. I wish her all the best and all the love in the world. Anybody who’s struggling, please reach out for help. I feel sorry for her. ”
Linda – who has three children with husband Mark Dunford – is now said to be on the road to recovery but her friends and family had reportedly called emergency services for help amid fears over her behaviour.
An insider previously explained the 60-year-old star hadn’t been sleeping well over the festive period and added: “It all got a bit too much for Linda and the family, and that’s why they called in police and experts.
“The family reached breaking point as Linda’s behaviour was becoming a bit erratic. They were worried she might hurt herself.”
A spokesperson for the ‘Birds of a Feather’ actress declined to comment but the Metropolitan police confirmed they had visited her London home “following concerns for an occupant”.
Meanwhile – despite her friend’s absence – former ‘Coronation Street’ star Denise has said she was “thrilled” to return to the chat show.
She said: “I’m thrilled, the time was right when I left and it was the right time to be asked back. The show is back where it belongs and we can hit serious topics like the best of them, but move on to fun topics too.”

Matt Evers and Jason Gardiner don’t speak during ‘Dancing On Ice’

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Evers hasn’t spoken to Jason Gardiner in 11 years.
Despite the 42-year-old professional skater working with the judge for 11 years on ‘Dancing On Ice’, he admitted that the Jason, 47, “keeps to himself” and the pair “don’t really talk” during the competition.
Asked ‘Heart Breakfast with Jamie & Lucy’ whether Jason was as nasty as he comes across on screen, Matt said: “I don’t really talk to him in the studio. No, he keeps to himself. I’ve worked with him now for 11 TV series and known Jason for 13 years now and never once really have spoken to him outside of work.”
And when he was quizzed about which other judges he spoke to, and the skater slyly replied: “All of them… Can you read between the lines?”
The star went on to explain that the pair don’t “send each other Christmas cards”, and that tension arose when there was speculation Matt was romantically linked to his partner at the time, Pamela Anderson.
He said: “When I skated with Pamela Anderson a couple of years back and there were rumours in the press that her and I were sleeping together, which was not the case. Hello… I wish.
“But he kinda outed me a little bit, oh he was like ‘I don’t think Matt would go for that one’ and I just kinda went, ‘that’s not cool dude.’ ”
Matt’s current skating partner, Gemma Collins, has also previously taken digs at the Jason saying he “can’t actually skate”.
She recently said: “I find him highly amusing. I really like him, yes he’s definitely going to say stuff about me and Jason Gardiner can’t actually skate.
“Jason can have all the chat, but he can’t back it up with the actions.”

Kevin Clifton didn’t think he’d win Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Clifton thought there was “no chance” he and Stacey Dooley would win ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 36-year-old professional dancer was partnered with television presenter Stacey, 31, on the sixteenth series of the BBC ballroom show, and brought home the prestigious glitterball trophy after a gripping public vote last month.
However, Kevin appeared on Monday’s episode of ‘This Morning’ (14.01.19) and said: “I was so excited. It was amazing because I didn’t expect it at all.
“My parents were sat to the left of us and I thought because we were bottom of the judges leaderboard and Craig had hammered us a bit, I thought, ‘Well there’s no chance we’re gonna win’.
“I actually looked over to my mum and dad and gave them a little ‘Oh well there’s that then’, and they gave me one back because they didn’t think we were gonna win either so we just had this little moment.
“Me and Stace are stood there not even bothered, cool as a cucumber, we didn’t think we were gonna win and when Tess said ‘Stacey and Kevin’, my mum and dad shot up and started screaming and my knees gave way and I dropped to the floor.”
Kevin’s sister, Joanne, 35, is also a professional dancer on ‘Strictly’ and won the celebrity series back in 2016 with her partner Ore Oduba, in the public vote, beating fellow finalists Louise Redknapp and Danny Mac.
The 2018 winner – who won’t be part of the show’s annual live tour due to other work commitments – revealed that dancing has been in his family for generations, and said he and his sibling would be joining their parents’ school.
Kevin added: “Dancing has been in our family for years, even my nan was the quick step champion of Hemel Hempstead, it’s a whole family thing. Now me and Jo are looking to teach in our mum and dad’s dance school…
“I’m not doing the ‘Strictly’ tour because I’ve joined the cast of the musical ‘Rock Of Ages’. I fell in love when I saw it in 2009 in New York. It’s my favourite musical.”
