Corrie’s Tina O’Brien teases Platt problems

OHMYGOSSIP — Tina O’Brien says the Platt family will be “tested” by an “internal” problem this year.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress, who plays Sarah Platt in the ITV soap, says her fictional family are set for a busy 2019 which will see plenty of secrets being kept, which will, once again, take them to the brink.
Speaking about the fallout after Lewis Archer’s (Nigel Havers) death, she said: “Well life is never really quiet when you are a Platt is it? But from the moment Lewis died and Audrey moved onto the street things have started building up, there are going to be lots of secrets and it looks as though the family are going to be tested once more.
“But this time it isn’t someone from outside causing them problems it is all internal.”
Sarah’s brother Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) has already been causing his own family issues after he stole his gran Audrey Roberts’ (Sue Nicholls) £80,000 savings.
But his sister looks to have other things on her mind when she does the dirty on builder boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North), who has been struggling with financial issues, next week.
Sarah will get close to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), and Tina has hinted she and the lusty lawyer could have a future together.
She said: “Sarah does love Gary and they have been through a lot and managed to stick together but she probably deserves a quieter life and a lot less hassle than he gives her.
“People do seem to like them together and want them to try and work things out.”
When asked if she could see Sarah and Adam together, she replied: “Yes I guess so, but he isn’t likely to give her an easy life either is he? It would be out of the frying pan and into the fire.”
However, things are a lot more straightforward for Tina’s real love life after she married Adam Crofts on New Year’s Eve (31.12.18).
Speaking about her nuptials, she recently said: “I found the idea of everybody looking at me quite nerve-wracking. But I was just so happy to see Adam, Beau and Scarlett all dressed up. My heart was hammering. It felt so intense. I didn’t take it lightly committing to being with somebody for the rest of my life.
“It’s amazing to finally be husband and wife.”
Adam added: “I just felt excited to finally be getting married. It had been a long time coming.”

Kacey Ainsworth keen for EastEnders return

OHMYGOSSIP — Kacey Ainsworth has “talked about” an ‘EastEnders’ return.
The 50-year-old actress is keen to reprise her role as ‘Little’ Mo Mitchell on the BBC One soap, and she is interested to find out what her alter-ego – who was last seen in Albert Square in 2006 – has been up to since she departed Walford.
She said: “We have talked about a return.
“I am interested in what they think might have happened to Mo in this time, and the Slaters were such a fun family to be part of.
“It’s just at the moment it’s been completely nutty and continuing to be that way.”
While Kacey may well be turning up in Albert Square soon, she isn’t likely to be rocking up in the Australian jungle for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ or on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dancefloor, because she doesn’t ever want to do any reality TV for fear of missing out on acting work.
Speaking at the Gold Movie Awards, she told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: “You can’t do any of those reality shows because you then put yourself into a completely different bracket, you put yourself into ‘reality star’ which means you won’t get acting work.
“They want to see actors act, not necessarily see them trading off a character you played.”
Kacey recently admitted she would love to head back to Walford to snog Danny Dyer, who plays Mick Carter.
She said: “I think I’ll have to have a rider. I’ll only go back if I can get behind the bar of the Queen Vic and snog Danny Dyer.”
But Kacey recently admitted she hasn’t had time to step foot in Albert Square again because she has been “so busy” shooting detective drama ‘Grantchester’, in which she portrays Cathy Keating.

Amber Rose once tried ‘selling crack’

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Rose once tried to become a drug dealer.
The 35-year-old reality star admitted that she attempted “selling crack” in her neighbourhood” growing up but her fears of being robbed due to her good looks meant she had to take a back seat and instead just bagged up the drugs for them.
Speaking to Van Lathan on The Red Pill Podcast, she said: “I usually don’t tell people this but I tried selling crack in my neighbourhood. They said I was gonna get robbed. I was a girl and I was too pretty, and it wasn’t going to happen. I had to do to feed my family. So what I did, I would bag it up for them, I would weigh it and bag up the crack rocks for them. And they would throw me some money.”
The ‘Amber Rose Show’ host confessed she was dubious about sharing this story for the first time and went on to explain that although she began her stripping career “very young”, it was completely her own decision.
She said: “When it comes to me, do I have to give you this story to understand? It’s been nine years since I been famous, I never told that to anybody.
“It was a hard time in the beginning, and I became a stripper very young. I made that decision, nobody in my family put that on me. I don’t really think people understand how ‘hood I grew up … the s**t that I had to overcome, and even overcome after I became famous. My life has never been easy … [But] it did push me to that limit to go fend for my family.”

Idina Menzel’s son left devastated after tooth fairy fails to visit

OHMYGOSSIP — Idina Menzel felt like a “bad mom” after the tooth fairy failed to visit her son.
The 47-year-old actress and singer revealed that her nine-year-old son Walker – who she has with former partner Taye Diggs – was devastated when he woke up after losing a tooth and found that the tooth fairy hadn’t visited and left him money.
The Tony-winning actress wrote on Twitter: “The tooth fairy didn’t show up last night. Mom put tooth in tissue and son hid it under pillow.
“Then mom fell asleep and woke up this morning to son with tears. ‘Tooth fairy didn’t come’. That tooth fairy better get her s**t together. #badmoms (sic).”
Fellow actress Rachel Bay Jones responded: “Been there. Look under the bed!”
The ‘Frozen’ star also received plenty messages of support from other parents, one of which compared Idina’s experience as the tooth fairy to his as Elf on the Shelf – a Christmas game where a naughty elf magically moves around the house.
The user wrote: “Sounds like the tooth fairy was as reliable as our Elf on a Shelf. Dude sat in the same place for like a week.”
The ‘Rent’ actress replied to the fan: “Oh yeah that happened as well.”
Although Idina – who voices Princess Elsa in the animated film ‘Frozen’ – is well-loved by fans of the fantasy flick, she previously admitted that her new-found status as a role model hasn’t been entirely easy to cope with.
She previously said: “Everyone talks about me being a role model for young girls and that’s not always the truth in my day-to-day personal life. I’m not constantly practicing what I preach. I’m a little uncomfortable carrying that banner. I’m not always ‘Oh, I feel so great about myself today. I’m a powerful, confident woman, and I’m not going to care what anyone else thinks of me!’ I mean it’s all bull***t, really. I can be a mess. The older I get, I get wiser about some things, and yet I get more fragile and vulnerable about others.”

Kelvin Fletcher joins The Real Full Monty

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelvin Fletcher has signed up for ‘The Real Full Monty’.
The 26-year-old actor – who portrayed Andy Sugden in ‘Emmerdale’ between 1996 and 2016 – will bare all as part of the male striptease group for the ITV show in a bid to raise awareness of prostate cancer.
A TV source told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: “Bosses have chosen a very eclectic mix of stars.”
The ITV show – which will embark on its third season – sees celebrities strip off on TV as they take part in a Full Monty-style dance routine.
The idea first began in 2017 in a bid to focus on helping charities such as Cancer Research, Everyman and Prostate Cancer UK.
Love Island’s Jack Fincham is also expected to take part in the striptease this year.
A source recently said: “Jack’s super excited to have bagged a spot on the cast, but he’s really nervous about getting his kit off.
“He indulged in a lot of food and booze over Christmas and on a recent holiday to Dubai so he’s enlisted the help of a personal trainer and to get him into the best shape possible.
“He’s also on a strict protein shake diet to help him lose a few pounds before filming starts in a few months.
“Dani’s really proud he’s doing it for a good cause and will be supporting him with a lot of the ‘Love Island’ crew on the night.”
What’s more, former ‘Love Island’ star Megan Barton Hanson is said to have signed up for the female version, ‘The Real Full Monty: Ladies Night’.
A source recently said: “Megan is really excited about this show and can’t wait to show audiences a different side to her.
“It’s a new challenge but she’s no stranger to stripping off, so she will be showing a few of the other girls some tips and tricks.
“The night is for a fantastic cause and bosses are hoping it helps to raise a load of cash.”
Last year’s line-up included TV presenter Jeff Brazier, rugby star Ugo Monye, TOWIE’s James Argent, The Wanted’s Tom Parker, former footballer John Hartson, chef Ainsley Harriott and former ‘EastEnders’ actor Johnny Partridge.

Penny Lancaster’s romantic son

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Penny Lancaster Stewart has revealed that her young son Aidan is very romantic and has already proposed once to a girl at his school who he was “in love” with.
The 47-year-old former model raises seven-year-old Aiden and Alastair, 13, with her husband Sir Rod Stewart and it seems as though the youngster has inherited his music legend dad’s penchant for the ladies.
Penny has spilled that Aiden fell for a classmate and created a homemade engagement ring to present to her after discussing matters of the heart with his mother.
The blonde beauty revealed the sweet story during a discussion about Poundland’s new range of budget engagement rings which have just been unveiled ahead of Valentine’s Day (14.02.19).
She said: “I know my seven-year-old son Aidan would love this ring, because a couple of years ago he was in love with a little girl in his class, he was five, and he made her an engagement ring. He found a little box, put tissue paper in it and he said, ‘Mummy, how do I give it to her?’ And I said, ‘Just say I really care about you, I love you, or whatever you want to say and here’s a gift.’ She returned with a letter saying, ‘I love the ring, yes, can we be married.’ ”
However, Penny indicated that her son has moved on from his crush, adding with a smile: “The engagement is off, sorry!”
Penny also revealed that although she loved the engagement ring that Rod used to pop the question she got a new “marriage ring” when they tied the knot in June 2007 at La Cervara near Portofino, Italy.
She said: “Rod secretly went off to find my ring, it wasn’t this one I have now, actually, because we’ve been together for a long, long time. He found the ring himself and proposed, when we did finally get married we chose a new ring together to symbolise that bond, like a marriage ring.”
Penny and Rod decided to renew their wedding vows in 2017 in the grounds of their 18th-century home in Essex, South East England, to celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary.

CBS Films president Terry Press said: “We are extremely grateful to have such an incredible cast
“Clearly, they haven’t watched any of our prior work.
“Speaking for everyone perpetually enamoured with, and increasingly terrified by, how well their phone knows them, I look forward to this extraordinary group of actors and filmmakers exploring the side effects of too much tech.
“I think audiences will agree that some romances are better when you disconnect.”
The ‘Bridesmaids’ actress – who will serve as the omnipresent voice of a dedicated A.I. assistant – will join Adam Devine, Ron Funches, Justin Hartley, Michael Pena, Alexandra Shipp, Wanda Sykes and Charlyne Yi in the cast of the film.

Karyn Kusama says Nicole Kidman had ‘no vanity’ on Destroyer set

OHMYGOSSIP — Karyn Kusama says Nicole Kidman had “no vanity” on set of her upcoming film ‘Destroyer’.
The 50-year-old director watched in awe as the 51-year-old actress transformed into her alter-ego, LAPD detective Erin Bell, in the crime drama, and she admitted Kidman “wasn’t afraid” of what she would look like when it came to portraying her damaged character.
Speaking on Collider’s podcast ‘The Witching Hour’, Karyn said: “She [Nicole] would call herself a director-actor and she really believes in that relationship between the director and the actor, and it’s such an incredible thing to experience for me because she certainly didn’t come to this role with any vanity, in fact really made a lot of her choices as an actor for the role about having no vanity and what can that look like.
“In her case, it looks like a lack of self-care, she’s not somebody who sleeps enough anymore, or eats, or drinks water, or does anything to help herself. She just probably drinks too much and lies in the past too much. It was just so cool to work with somebody who wasn’t afraid of what that would look like.”
The US filmmaker also confessed that Kidman approached her 10 years after they first met about starring in one of her films, and so the partnership on ‘Destroyer’ became a no-brainer.
Karyn added: “I have to say with Nicole, what’s so interesting about her, is that she makes relationships with directors before she works with them.
“So I was somebody that, we’d met ages ago for ‘Aeon Flux’, [2005] my second film, and she wasn’t available and we had a nice meeting.
“I’d say 10 years after I’d made the invitation she was like, ‘I like your movies I want to meet with you.’
“So we met to talk and chat about what we were up to, and by the time she got the script for the ‘Destroyer’, it was kind of like we’d been in touch and had a relationship so it was easier to have a creative conversation.
“She’s very open, she needs the directors steering, it makes it easier because it’s a partnership from the beginning.”

Pinocchio remake ‘loses director Paul King’

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul King is said to have dropped out of directing ‘Pinocchio’.
The 41-year-old filmmaker reportedly pulled out of helming Disney’s upcoming remake of the 1940 animated classic “over Christmas”, despite reports that Tom Hanks is gearing up to play Geppetto, the woodworker who creates the titular wooden puppet.
Speaking to Discussing Film, cinematographer Seamus McGarvey said: “I don’t think it’s a secret anymore, but the film has been cancelled over the holidays, over Christmas.
“The director basically pulled out of the film, for, um, family reasons.
“Disney are trying to find a new director, but yeah, I read those reports that Tom Hanks and all those other people, but yeah, they’re trying to get it going.”
In 2017, Sam Mendes was thought to be directing ‘Pinocchio’, but the filmmaker dropped out of the project that same year, which is when King – who previously directed family favourites ‘Paddington’ and ‘Paddington 2’ – took over.
The original Disney ‘Pinocchio’ film was the second animated movie made by the studio after 1937’s ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, and was adapted from a story by Italian author Carlo Collodi.
‘Pinocchio’ tells the tale of a wooden puppet who is brought to life by a fairy, who then tells him he will become a real boy if he proves himself to be “brave, truthful, and unselfish”.
The titular character then meets Jiminy Cricket, who acts as Pinocchio’s conscience and tries to steer him in the right direction.
He faces a series of adventures which include Pinocchio being kidnapped to be part of a puppet show, turned into a donkey, and swallowed by a whale.
Chris Weitz and his Depth of Field partner Andrew Miano are producing the remake.
Netflix are currently also planning a ‘Pinocchio’ project, with Guillermo Del Toro set to write and direct a stop-motion musical version.

Dita Von Teese relies on gun tool to ease he back pain

OHMYGOSSIP — Dita Von Teese has revealed she relies on a Theragun therapy tool to ease her agonising back pain.
The 46-year-old dancer was suffering with persistent pain in her lower back due to years of contorting her body into unusual and erotic shapes for her burlesque routines but her quality of life was transformed when her physical therapist introduced her to the jackhammer-like device, which was invented by chiropractor Jason Wersland and uses “percussive therapy” to loosen muscles.
In an interview with New York Magazine, she revealed: “I was going to physical therapy before my tour last summer because I’d had some lower back issues, and my physical therapist pulled out the Theragun, and my life was changed. I got one immediately and even got one engraved. I use it on tour, and everyone passes it around. It’s a power tool that really gets the knots out.”
Dita – who was on her ‘Dita Von Teese and the Copper Coupe Tour’ last year – now won’t go a week without using the device and gets her boyfriend, Disney visual designer Adam Rajcevich, to administer the rough relaxant on her and he’s grateful to have something that takes the work out of her endless requests for massages.
She said: “I don’t know about you, but my partner is like, ‘If I have to give you another foot massage …’ But he’s not tired of using the Theragun on me. It’s not one of those ‘back massagers’ that’s meant for something else either. It’s the real deal percussive therapy.”
Dita is famous for the vintage inspired underwear she dons for her stage shows and she has incorporated her unique and sexy style into her own eponymous lingerie line.
However, when she is at home the curvaceous beauty prefers to slip into a comfy onesie and just chill out.
She said: “With all the things I wear for work – the belts and corsets – nothing feels better than putting on a cashmere onesie at the end of the day. It’s become my most treasured piece of clothing, because it feels like a holiday. I never thought of myself as a onesie kind of gal but it’s pretty chic and streetwear-ready.”

The reality star announced he and Sadie – who he married in 2017 – were expecting their first child together last July, and Elliott confessed he always knew she would be a “great mum” because of the special bond she shares with two children.
He previously said: “For her to embrace my kids the way she did and how my kids took to her, I just knew then that she was going to be a great mum.

Mariah Carey sues former assistant

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey is suing her former personal assistant for more than $3 million.
The ‘Hero’ hitmaker has accused Lianna Azarian – who she hired in March 2015 but fired in November 2017 – of secretly recording her doing “embarrassing” things and then threatening to release the videos unless her famous boss gave her $8 million.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Mariah claims Lianna was secretly filming her “personal activities” and if the clips were made public, they could be extremely damaging to her, both personally and professionally.
The 48-year-old singer paid the employee up to $327,000 a year until she was fired, and claims the alleged blackmail started shortly afterwards.
After previously showing the videos to friends and claiming she would sell them if she was ever fired, Liana reportedly demanded the money and warned she’d release the videos and other damaging information once she was dismissed.
The lawsuit doesn’t state what is on the videos, but describes the footage as “intimate”.
As well as recording the clips, the ‘Fantasy’ singer also alleged her former staff member used her credit card to buy personal items and obtained discounts from retailers by claiming she was buying things for Mariah.
The ‘One Sweet Day’ hitmaker – who has twins Moroccan and Monroe, seven, with ex-husband Nick Cannon – claims to have unsuccessfully demanded the videos and other evidence of criminal activity be handed over.
She is suing for unspecified damages, but she wants more than $3 million.
The new lawsuit comes just weeks after Mariah settled another legal dispute with her former manager Stella Bulochnikov, who took action against the singer last April, alleging she was owed millions of dollars.
An attorney confirmed recently: “The parties [have] reached a mutually agreed resolution to this matter.”
The attorney declined to say whether their client, who had sought unspecified damages, had received a cash settlement.
Stella agreed to “discontinue this action against Mariah Carey with prejudice, with each party to bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs.”
Stella had previously said she was suing for breach of contract, violation of the U.S. Civil Rights Act, and a violation of the Fair Employment and Housing Act as she believed she was owed commissions on Mariah’s earnings, with sources claiming the figure was more than $100 million in three years.

Gemma Collins has ‘no beef’ with Holly Willoughby

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins insists she has “no bad feelings” towards Holly Willoughby after the TV presenter called her “professionalism” into question.
The ‘Dancing on Ice’ star says there is “no beef” between herself and Holly and Phillip Schofield after the ‘This Morning’ presenters criticised the former ‘TOWIE’ star after they were told she left the skating show early during Sunday’s (13.01.19) live show.
But Gemma insists she would’ve had the same reaction if she had been given such information.
She said: “I think they were given information that wasn’t correct and they’ve given their opinion on it and there’s nothing wrong with that.
“Hopefully, they’ve been told straight the facts now.
“I agree with Holly, if I had done that I’d be saying the same, ‘God, how unprofessional.’
“I’ve only got love for Holly and Phil, big up them. There’s no beef here.
“Holly and Phil have done nothing wrong.
“There’s no bad feeling there.”
Despite reports Gemma may quit ‘Dancing on Ice’, the blonde star insists she will not give up, and said she has been getting the shakes because she has been “so upset” this week.
She added: “I’m not giving up, I’m not quitting.
“I’ve got the shakes where I’ve been so upset and please don’t believe what’s been put out there.
“Do I want to quit? Yes, but I’m not going to.
“It has got me down this week.
“I really hope you’re going to love Sunday’s routine.
“The reason I haven’t been on social media before talking about this is me and Matt have been so upset. We’ve been shell-shocked. We didn’t know what to do.”
Speaking on Gemma’s Instagram Stories, her pro partner Matt Evers added: “We will survive. Nothing is going to stop us.”
Earlier this week, Holly accused Gemma of displaying a lack of “professionalism” after she was told by the show’s digital presenter Kem Cetinay that Gemma had left the programme 15 minutes early on Sunday night.
Holly said: “The thing is I really love Gemma, you know I’m a big fan of Gemma’s and I think she’s great on the show I do, but I think there has to be a bit of professionalism that comes into any work you do, just a bit of pride in your work.”
Phil then added: “In all the years I’ve been in television, I have never kept a studio waiting.”
Kem had told them: “We went into the live show, and then the last quarter of the show, she went home.
“Well I didn’t know she went until after but then we saw this video and I was thinking, I don’t know where Gemma is and I went to her dressing room and she wasn’t there. So I did speak to her after and she said she was a bit bored, but she does love skating.”

Danny Dyer: Royal Family see me as an ’embarrassing cousin’

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer thinks the Royal Family see him as one of their “embarrassing cousins they don’t want to acknowledge” since he discovered he is related to King Edward III and William The Conqueror.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor admits it “would be nice” if the likes of Queen Elizabeth, Prince William and Prince Harry contacted him to accept his new-found ancestry, but for now his only other connection to the current crop of royals is the Queen being a huge fan of the BBC One soap’s Christmas specials.
He said: “I haven’t heard anything from the Royal Family. I’m clearly one of their embarrassing cousins they’ve got but don’t want to acknowledge.
“I could be mixing in those circles. I don’t know it would be nice if they did want to acknowledge it. Maybe one day.
“I heard the queen is a fan of ‘EastEnders’ though. I heard she always watches the Christmas special, which is nice I suppose.”
Danny discovered he was distantly related to the two kings during a 2016 appearance on ‘Who Do You Think You Are?, and admits he has since been contacted by some “nutty people” who have tried to claim they share similar ancestry, and even one professor who tried to “p**s on his parade”.
He said: “A couple of nutty people on Instagram, but you can never really trust that. No not really. You’ve got to have the paperwork see, that’s the thing.
“There was this professor who said everyone is related to King Edward III, which is ridiculous, but whether it’s all incestuous and we’re all related I don’t know. Why some people have to piss on my parade I don’t know.
“I’ve got the paper work, it’s all there. So no I haven’t really, but I’m sure there’s a lot of us knocking around.”
While Danny is revelling in his royal connections – which also include him finding out his 26th great grandfather was King Louis IX – he would’ve been “pretty useless” as a Medieval ruler.
He added to What’s On TV magazine: “I’d have been useless. I probably would have been a bit like St Louis. I’d have been kind because they were ruthless weren’t they?
