Michelle Pfeiffer joins Instagram

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Pfeiffer has joined Instagram – despite being “anxious” about sharing her life on social media.
The 60-year-old actress is known to keep her private life out of the spotlight but on Wednesday (16.01.19), she decided to create a profile on the social media app, with her first post being a throwback video of her playing Catwoman in 1992’s ‘Batman Returns’.
Alongside the clip, Michelle wrote: “MEOW Instagram.”
It was a major move for the ‘One Fine Day’ producer, who doesn’t usually like to look back at her work as she is “so self-critical”.
She admitted: “I never really go back and look at my work because I’m so self-critical, but that really is a fun clip.”
The ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ star also opened up about why she has only just decided to give in and use the app, and explained that she feared “saying the wrong thing” and getting “snarky” comments.
She confessed: “I’ve spent my whole life doing as little as possible and hiding out.
“I’ve been really, honestly, anxious about entering into the world of social media, and just fearing I’ll say the wrong thing and somebody’s gonna get snarky on my feed.”
The ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ star has many friends on Instagram and felt like she was missing out on having “fun” and interacting with her fans.
On why she signed up now, she added to Vanity Fair: “I just started realising that I tend to get very curious because so many of my friends have started to engage on Instagram and they seem to be having a lot of fun with it, and I think that I realised that it’s actually a really good way to engage with people, and potentially with my fans.”
Michelle went on a five-year break from acting until 2017, but now she is fully back in the swing of things with a second ‘Maleficent’ out next year, and her upcoming role in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ as Janet Van Dyne.
She added: “I think the other thing is that I’m really sort of full-throttle back working now, and so I think it is also an opportunity to share what’s going on with me.”

The 43-year-old TV presenter took some time off last year, including missing the latest ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ series, after he was convicted of drink-driving and went to rehab to face his demons, but he will start filming the new ‘BGT’ series tomorrow.

“They’re reuniting on Friday for the auditions of course, getting underway in London on Friday before the rest of the ‘BGT’ continue their search for talent next month.”
‘GMB’ co-host Ben Shephard admitted Ant is “looking well”, and her fellow presenter Susanna Reid joked he will still “clean up” at next week’s National Television Awards, where Ant and Dec Donnelly are aiming to triumph in the Best Presenter category for an 18th consecutive year.
This comes after Dec admitted last month that ‘BGT’ would be “back to normal”.
He said: “It’s back to normal for ‘BGT’ – fingers crossed it will be great.”

Josh Gad to produce The Hunchback of Notre Dame remake

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Gad is poised to produce a live-action remake of ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’.
The 37-year-old actor is set to form a key part of the team Disney has assembled for its latest remake and although he’s not currently attached to star in the film, that could still change, according to Deadline.
‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ will be a musical, with lan Menken and Broadway veteran Stephen Schwartz set to write the music.
Menken was responsible for the music of Disney hits like ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Aladdin’.
The script is being written by playwright David Henry Hwang, though a director has yet to be confirmed.
Josh starred as Le Fou in 2017’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’, and the actor previously admitted he was proud to appear in the much-hyped Disney film, especially as Le Fou became the studio’s first-ever gay character.
He explained: “What was most important to me was taking a character that is wonderful and so iconic, but is defined by cartoon conceits in the (original) movie … and expanding on that, giving him dimension, making him human.
“I hope that it’s a surprise to audiences to some extent, although I don’t think it is anymore. I’m honoured to have that moment as part of my character’s arc.”
Despite this, Josh stressed that there was “nothing in the script that said ‘LeFou is gay.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Mardell’s mum feared she would “ruin” ‘Coronation Street’ for her.
The ‘Corrie’ star – who plays hairdresser Emma Brooker on the ITV soap – says her mother was concerned she may not be able to “get into” the goings on in Weatherfield after her daughter joined the programme, but she soon realised Alexandra’s cobbles presence didn’t have that effect.
The actress – who has been nominated for a National Television Award in the Newcomer category – said: “She was worried I was going to ruin her favourite show for her.
“But after the first episode, she watched it and was like, ‘Actually, you’ve not ruined it.’
“She thought it would put her off and didn’t think she would be able to get into it as much.”
Alexandra made her first appearance on the cobbles in April last year, and admits she was “star-struck” when she first stepped foot on set.
She said: “It was so surreal so I was a bit star-struck by everyone, but I tried to play it cool.
“But everyone was so welcoming, so as soon as I got there I felt settled and comfortable with everyone. It was lovely.

“It doesn’t feel like you’re working, it just feels like I’m having such a good time every day with my friends and just enjoying it.”
Prior to landing a role on ‘Corrie’, Alexandra cut her teeth opposite legendary actress Brenda Blethyn in ITV drama ‘Vera’.

Discussing the nomination with her co-presenter Piers Morgan, Susanna – who has been alcohol-free for six months – recently said: “That night, if we win, I will drink.”
Piers replied: “This is great, if you vote for us, and we win, Susanna Reid will break her alcohol-free [diet] – which has now been going on for about six months.

She said: “I will get absolutely hammered.”
Piers then asked: “Will you come here and present the show drunk?”
When Susanna answered with a definitive yes, Piers cheered and applauded the comment.
He declared: “Susanna Reid will come in her evening attire, fresh from the NTA after-party, if we win, and present the show drunk.

Keith Richards reissues Talk Is Cheap for 30th anniversary

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Richards has shared a previously unheard cover of ‘My Babe’ from the 30th anniversary reissue of his solo LP ‘Talk Is Cheap’.
The Rolling Stones legend went through a period of unrest in 1986, when relations between the 75-year-old guitarist and the iconic rock ‘n’ roll group’s frontman Sir Mick Jagger, also 75, reached an all time low during the making of their album ‘Dirty Work’, which the former described as “forget about it times”.
The ‘Satisfaction’ hitmaker felt the need to find a new challenge and so he started working with the drummer Steve Jordan, who contributed to ‘Dirty Work’, and admitted he was “dragged kicking and screaming” into the studio to start work on ‘Talk Is Cheap’, which was released two years later in 1988.
Jagger had also released his solo LP ‘Primitive Cool’ the year before, which no doubt spurred him on even more.
Richards has decided to reissue the record, including the rendition of blues legend Little Walter’s 1955 hit ‘My Babe’ and an accompanying lyric video, because he feels the songs have stood the test of time, and has insisted it’s not for the sake of “nostalgia”
He said: “This album holds up.
“I’ve been listening to it and not through the mists of nostalgia either because it doesn’t affect me that way. “This is more than the sum of its parts. I really admire it. We were having fun and you can hear it.”
Richards also formed his own backing band, The X-Pensive Winos, featuring the likes of Jordan, Bobby Keys, Charley Drayton, Ivan Neville, Sarah Dash and Waddy Wachtel.
The latter he shares a bond like he has with his Rolling Stones bandmate Ronnie Wood.
He said: “Waddy and I are like Ronnie and me.
“Within five minutes it’s like you’ve known each other all your lives.”
Work began on ‘Talk Is Cheap’ in August 1987 at Le Studio in Morin Heights, Quebec, and the following year, in May, recording sessions were held in Montserrat and Bermuda.
Mick Taylor – who was bass player in the Stones until Wood took over in 1975 – also make a guest appearance on the track ‘I Could Have Stood You Up’.
Richards signed to Virgin Records to make his solo career official, and the label eventually signed the ‘Paint It Black’ hitmakers – who had been with Sony Music – in 1993.
The guitar legend went on to release another solo LP, ‘Crosseyed Heart’, in 2015, and the compilation album ‘Vintage Vinos’, comprised of remastered solo and X-Pensive Winos tracks performed live at the Hollywood Palladium in 1988, was released 2010.
The 30th anniversary reissue of ‘Talk Is Cheap’ is released on March 29th via BMG.

Selena Gomez’s Jax Jones song unlikely to be released

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez’s collaboration with Jax Jones may never be released.
The ‘Ring Ring’ hitmaker has confirmed that the rumoured track, which is believed to be titled ‘This Is Real’, according to Selena’s fans – who are known as Selenators – was recorded before the ‘Wolves’ singer was taken into hospital to undergo a kidney transplant in 2017, due to her Lupus.
However, the 31-year-old DJ-and-producer – whose real name is Timucin Lam – has dashed hopes of the song being released into the public domain.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “We have a song!
“We have one but there’s no release date.
“It’s just a song for me to listen to now.”
Jax has been hounded with requests from the 26-year-old pop star’s fan base to share the track, but he has claimed that it’s down to Selena that the song remains unreleased.
He said: “The Selena fans are on it, but they’ll have to ask Selena what happened to that song as it wasn’t me! It wasn’t me.”
Selena checked into rehab in October after suffering an “emotional breakdown” following multiple hospitalisations due to issues related to Lupus and her kidney transplant, and she also took a break from social media.
But now that she appears to be back to herself, Jax would love for them to work on something new together.
He said: “I think one day we’ll do another song and it will be a song that isn’t three years old.
“Either way her new album will be dope – she’s mad talented.”
And it might not be too much longer before her much-anticipated follow-up to 2015’s ‘Revival’ is released, as Selena previously hinted she’s planning to drop it soon.
The former Disney star appeared on a live stream on Instagram Stories with her close model pal Connar Franklin in August, when she declared that she was “done” with the record.
In the video, she was heard saying: “My album’s coming out later … I’m done with it.”

The ‘Hart of Dixie’ actress – who has unveiled a dramatic, platinum blonde bob on her Instagram account – revealed she was deciding on the look for nine months and has credited characters she’s previously played, as well as the loss of her longtime acting coach, Elizabeth Kemp, who died from cancer, for her decision to celebrate the new year with a new look.
Speaking on the photo-sharing website, Jaime – who has kids Leo, three, and James, five, with husband Kyle Newman – wrote: “LIBERATED. 9 months of waiting for this moment. Thank you for the Light that lifted layers of grief, the past, the stories, the loss of my best friend Elizabeth Kemp, the depths and beauty of my characters and all that they endured. Clare Waight Keller aims to blur lines between genders in new collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Clare Waight Keller wants to blur the lines between men’s and women’s fashion.
The creative director of Givenchy debuted her first standalone menswear collection on Wednesday (16.01.19) in an intimate salon show – and she admitted that although the luxury brand’s “driving force” has always been women’s clothing, it’s time for men to have their “own platform” within the fashion house.
Speaking to the Guardian newspaper, she said: “The driving force for Givenchy has always been women’s, but now I want to bring the man into that world, [Givenchy] was the first one to do men’s for the couture but it’s time for men’s to have its own platform.
“The idea is that you can wear this as a woman, just in a slightly different way to men, there is more interest, certainly this century, in blurring lines between men’s and women’s [fashion].”
The designer – who was responsible for Duchess Meghan’s wedding dress when she married Prince Harry last year – went on to explain how she “expressed herself” through androgynous style, and can relate to men who do the same thing.
She said: “I used to deliberately put a T-shirt under something chic because I didn’t want to look like my mother, it was how I expressed myself and it’s how I see Parisian boys express themselves too.”
One of Clare’s favourite looks from the collection was a double-breasted suit paired with dramatic 70s-style flared trousers, and the designer thinks the look will resonate with the younger generation.
Speaking to Vogue, she said: “I love that long leg! It’s more about the ’70s seen through the ’90s but with modern fabrics, I’ve seen a lot of young guys around the office wearing high-waisted pants. There’s definitely something going on with that generation, now.”

Rob Kardashian ‘likes being scratched’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Kardashian thinks being “scratched” by a woman is one of the “best things” he could ask for.
The 31-year-old sock designer sat for a deposition in relation to an explosive fight he had with ex-fiancee Blac Chyna – the mother of his two-year-old daughter Dream – in December 2016 and she’s submitted remarks he allegedly made at that time to back up her claim he suffered no physical or psychological injuries as a result of the row.
He is quoted in documents obtained by The Blast as saying: “Being scratched by a female is one of the best things a man could ask for.”
Rob was being questioned about Chyna ripping his shirt and claimed he didn’t know she was being aggressive or that her scratching him would turn into a full fight.
He said: “It didn’t really occur to me that it was going to be – go into, you know, guns and strangling.
“This was just like I thought she was just being drunk, and you know, trying to be funny.”
He later told his former partner’s attorney during the deposition that the scratch “didn’t feel good, that’s for sure.”
Chyna has included the deposition to argue evidence will show Rob’s shirt got ripped “with his (very happy) consent.”
According to the 30-year-old beauty’s lawsuit, Rob is seeking over $500,000 in damages, and has claimed he suffered emotional and physical injuries, as well as loss of property when Chyna broke his television during the row.
However, Chyna pointed out the TV actually belonged to Rob’s half-sister, Kylie Jenner – whose home they were renting – and has “generously” valued the shirt she tore at $250.
In total, she believes she owes Rob no more than $5,000.
As well as the assault dispute, the pair are also trying to forge a child support deal as the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star claims he can no longer afford to pay Chyna.
