Wes Nelson says Megan and Vanessa have ended Dancing On Ice feud

OHMYGOSSIP — Wes Nelson has claimed that his girlfriend Megan Barton Hanson and his ‘Dancing On Ice’ partner Vanessa Bauer have ended their feud.
The 20-year-old hunk insists Megan, 24, has made things with right Vanessa, 24, after launching a social media attack against the professional skater due to her jealousy over the amount of time her man is spending with his skating partner for the ITV programme.
And Wes insists he isn’t angry with Megan – whom he met and fell for on dating reality show ‘Love Island’ last year – and can understand why she has had an attack of the green eyed monster whilst he is on ‘Dancing On Ice’.
Appearing on the Heart Breakfast with Jamie and Lucy radio show on Friday (18.01.19), Wes said: “It’s a lot of pressure for Megs. It’s concluded. They’ve spoken to each other. They’re happy. I don’t even know what they spoke about, I just let women get on with their women talk. Meg has suffered a lot. She has come to support me, cheer me on, and then got absolutely nailed for doing it. The outburst with Vanessa, that was the result of a lot of negativity.
“She has said, ‘I wish I had privately messaged her. She’s not apologising for it. It’s how she feels. I’m not going to argue with it. I’m going to back my girlfriend.
“I don’t want to mess anything with the show or with my girlfriend. We understand what’s going on. They’ve spoken, we’ve sorted it.”
In her rant on her Instagram stories, Megan accused Vanessa of announcing her split from her partner Louis Nathaniel just hours before last Sunday’s live show as a “tactical break up” designed to stir romance rumours between herself and Wes.
She also claimed that the choreographer didn’t make any effort to introduce herself in the studio.
On Thursday (17.01.19), Megan apologised for her social media slam and revealed she was going to make amends after getting Vanessa’s phone number from Wes.

John Barrowman reveals I’m A Celeb contestants had a code word

OHMYGOSSIP — John Barrowman has revealed that the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ campmates had a code word to flag each other’s “weird” behaviour.
The 53-year-old actor admitted that in order to avoid conflict during the last series of the jungle reality show the contestants would say “octopus” if one of them became odd or “aggressive” in an attempt to resolve the issue in a non-confrontational way.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, he said: “Everybody got along and we had a great time. There were times that things could have gone the other way. However, we all established at the very beginning when we all came in camp together, we thought let’s have a word. I don’t know if others have mentioned this but the word was ‘octopus’, so you’re not saying anything like stop or ‘don’t, don’t do that’ to somebody. If somebody was starting to behave weird or outrageous or be aggressive we just walk up to them and go, ‘Octopus!’ ”
The ‘Doctor Who’ star went on to explain how he was personally affected by the arrival of Noel Edmonds, who came into camp as the ruler, and appreciated the word “octopus” being uttered to him by Nick Knowles which made him evaluate his behaviour.
John said: “Everything was changing and we had no control over it and I have to be honest I’m a control freak for me that was the moment my thought process had to change. When change has come to me without any instruction or anything I freak out a little bit and when I freak out I’m standoffish.
“So it happened Nick Knowles came up to me, and Nick went, ‘Octopus,’ and I then sat down and for two days after that, I became very quiet. That was until I had a conversation with Anne Hegerty in regards to change because with her autism, change affected her greatly and I learned something about me. I don’t like quick change and I’d never thought about that before so from that point on I had that moment I was like now what am I gonna do, go with the flow.”

Nicole Kidman ‘uglied-up’ for Destroyer because she wanted ‘to be real’

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman transformed her appearance for ‘Destroyer’ because she wanted her portrayal of a desperate police detective to be “real”.
The 51-year-old actress – who has already earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Erin Bell in the new drama – had no qualms with leaving behind her glamorous Hollywood image and donning sallow skin, dark circles and mousy-brown hair because she wanted to be true to her on-screen character.
Nicole told The i newspaper: “I just wanted her to be real.
“Just give me a woman who has not taken care of herself at all, who has drunk a lot, who has done drugs, who has been given no self-care and no self-love and who sleeps in her car sometimes.
“She doesn’t sleep much, but medicates and she is in a rough place She is hanging on for dear life, she is surly and she is p***ed off.
“I wasn’t aware that it was blurring so rapidly and I couldn’t step out of it. Half the time, I wore the costume home as I couldn’t be bothered to change.
“I really took on, I suppose, the depression and the pain and just the nihilistic approach that she had. I existed in limbo.”
Director Karyn Kasuma was keen to physically transform the ‘Moulin Rouge!’ actress into a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
She said: “I need to explore this character, I want to know her better,’ it’s hard not to pay attention when an actor of that level approaches you.
“It felt important that we helped to take her through that physical transformation so that she felt she could authentically occupy the world.”

Matthew Broderick to make West End debut

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Broderick will make his West End debut this summer.
The ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ actor will star opposite ‘Downton Abbey’ actress Elizabeth McGovern in the UK premiere of Kenneth Lonergan’s 2009 play ‘The Starry Messenger’, which is about Mark Williams, an astronomy lecturer at the Hayden Planetarium in New York.
Matthew has been friends with the playwright since their school days and he revealed the production is loosely based on the teacher of a class they once took together at the planetarium.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: “There was a teacher, and Kenny says the character was loosely based on that guy. We didn’t know anything about him, so it’s really a made-up person
“[It is] a study of a guy in middle age, in a mid‑life crisis.”
Matthew – who has son James, 16, and twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, nine, with wife Sarah Jessica Parker – has previously played the role in an Off-Broadway production and has number of New York theatre credits to his name, including ‘The Producers’ and ‘Torch Song Trilogy’.
He has had a couple of “almost coming to London times”, especially with ‘The Producers’ but they have never come to fruition until now.
While he is excited about making his first stage debut in the English capital, he’s trying not to think too much about it because he doesn’t want nerves to get the better of him.
He said: “If I thought about it, I’d be petrified…
“We did ‘The Starry Messenger’ for a pretty short time and we always wanted to try it again.”
The 56-year-old star has seen “every ‘Downton Abbey’ show” and is excited about discussing the upcoming movie spin-off with his new co-star, who portrayed the Countess of Grantham in the period drama series.

Noomi Rapace quit play over director’s advances

OHMYGOSSIP — Noomi Rapace quit a play when its director became “angry” after she rejected his advances.
The 39-year-old actress was 20 years old and had “always been very stubborn” so refused to give into the unnamed man and admitted the incident was so commonplace at the time, she never thought anything out of the ordinary had happened to her.
Admitting she had refused to “play that game or become someone’s mistress”, she said: “[It was] like the actresses were a buffet…
“I never gave myself to him, which provoked him so much. He became really aggressive and angry. I just thought that was the way it was, because you saw so many situations like that around you.”
The incident was an “early wake up call” for the Swedish actress – who has 15-year-old son Lev with ex-husband Ola Norell – and she decided to quit the play.
The ‘Close’ actress thinks the movie industry can be “dangerous” for women because so many of them are so desperate to land a role, they will do whatever it takes.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “There’s so much desperation in the acting world and a lot of people will do anything to get a part. It’s dangerous.”
The ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ star left home when she was 14 to live with her boyfriend and, with Malmo, her nearest city having “insanely high” incidents of rape, Noomi began training in martial arts and found the practice “liverating”.
She said: “I knew a lot of girls who had been raped. Nothing happened to me, but I was aware of a potential sexual violence.
“I didn’t like feeling scared and like I couldn’t protect myself if something happened. To be aware of your body as a woman and to find strength that isn’t based on how you look was liberating for me.”
And the ‘Prometheus’ actress felt the classes made her feel “equal” to men, wherever she went.
She said: “Every time I walked into a fight club or training studio I felt like I was equal [to the men there]. It was an environment that was very respectful.”

Tom Hiddleston is very ‘curious’ about Night Manager return

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hiddleston is “very curious” to see how his character Jonathan Pine will return in the upcoming second series of ‘The Night Manager.’
The 37-year-old actor said he is eager to see what happens to his character now that the second season of the hit BBC thriller is in early production – although he teased that he was keeping very tight-lipped about the project.
Appearing on ‘The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show’ on BBC Radio 2 on Friday (18.01.19), he said: “At the moment it is really in the lap of John Le Carre and his sons who run the Ink factory which is the production company that produces it. They are potentially conceiving how these characters might live on, what they’re doing now given the state of the world.
“What’s Jonathan Pine doing? Where is he? He’s probably in a dark corner somewhere, spying on someone and what shape and form might that may take. I’m very curious to see what materialises and that’s about as much as I can say.”
Hiddleston appeared alongside Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman and Elizabeth Debicki in the first season which aired in 2016.
The Hollywood star is also reprising his role as villain Loki from the ‘Thor’ and ‘Avengers’ movies for a new TV series focused on the God of Mischief which is to premiere on new Disney streaming service Disney+ and he can’t wait to get started on the exciting project.
He said: “We’re currently kind of in the process of polishing up what it will be and the ideas and the story and the pitch. But it is definitely happening. Disney are launching a streaming service called Disney+ and I’m not sure when exactly that will be live.
“It’s really exciting to do this series about ‘Loki’ and I can’t say much, we’ve all gotta get through ‘Avengers: Endgame’ first.”

Stephanie Davis and Owen Warner ‘move in together’

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis has moved in with her boyfriend Owen Warner.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ co-stars started dating just last month, and the 25-year-old actress – who has two-year-old son Caben-Albi – “couldn’t be happier” about taking the next step in their relationship.
A source told The Sun Online: “Stephanie and Owen are inseparable and were spending every night together pretty much straight away after they started dating.
“It made sense for Owen just to move in with her and Steph couldn’t be happier – as she’s finally getting the family home she always dreamed of.”
Owen, 19 – who plays Romeo Quinn in the Channel 4 soap – is said to have been “really hands on” with her son, who she shares with ex Jeremy McConnell, at the youngster’s recent birthday party.
The source added: “Owen is amazing with her son Caben and was really hands on at his second birthday party recently.
“She’s really happy about how everything has turned out.”
However, Steph was less than pleased just last month when she accidentally poisoned herself and her boyfriend by serving up a dish of raw chicken.
The pair only realised halfway through the meal that the chicken wasn’t cooked properly, and Owen later took to his Instagram Stories to document the events of their disaster dinner, which included sound effects of Steph vomiting.
He said on the clip: “So, Steph cooked us a lovely meal. That looks very nice.
“I’m halfway through mine, then I peel back this and see that the chicken is raw.
“Can you hear that in the background? You alright Steph?”
Steph later composed herself to take to her own Insta Stories to reveal the chicken didn’t cook because her oven was set too low.
She said: “I called my mum … It’s because I had the oven on too low.
“I’ve been sick. It took me absolutely ages to cook that.
“Owen’s been sick now. I told him to be sick.
“I tried though.”

Emma Thompson’s conversation with George Michael inspired Last Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Emma Thompson’s conversation with George Michael about “life and death” inspired ‘Last Christmas’.
The romantic-comedy film is based on the song of the same name by Wham! and although Emma stressed that ‘Last Christmas’ is not a “George Michael-‘Mamma Mia’ movie”, she admitted that the late pop star played a crucial role in shaping the story.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, Emma – who wrote and stars in the movie – explained: “I’d met with George Michael. He was concerned about the homeless, which is a large part of this story.
“We spoke a lot about life and death, and there’s a lot of that in this film as well.”
Emma described ‘Last Christmas’ – which stars Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding – as a “dramatic romantic comedy”.
And of George’s influence, she added: “It’s inspired by the songs, and inspired by him.”
Meanwhile, Emma previously claimed it’s “fantastic” that she’s turning 60 in April.
However, the actress finds it “annoying” that older female stars aren’t given the same opportunities as their male counterparts.
She said: “It’s so annoying to be female and consistently going, ‘Have I got to see a f***ing story again about a guy who does things that I’ve already seen a guy do a million times?’ So I’m bored.
“The difference now, as I get older, is that I’m released by my boredom. I no longer bother. I’m free to go and look for new ideas and new voices. I’m able with absolute comfort and ease to reject so much. It’s fantastic being this age. I’m old.
“We’re constantly watching films where older men have wonderful roles and older women really don’t. But I’m a character actor, don’t forget. If you’ve got form and you’re a character actor, you’re much better off because you’re not fighting the way you once looked.”

James McAvoy was ‘freaked out’ by Pennywise

OHMYGOSSIP — James McAvoy felt “freaked out” by Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise the Dancing Clown in ‘It – Chapter Two’.
The 39-year-old actor – who also stars alongside the likes of Jessica Chastain, Jay Ryan and Bill Hader in the upcoming horror film – has admitted to being a little bit unnerved by the sight of Bill when he was wearing his on-screen costume.
He told ‘Good Morning America’: “He’s amazing. The guy who plays the clown is terrifying.
“He’s a lovely guy, and yet he really freaked me out.
“I remember standing there with the rest of the cast, all these adults, and we’d all done weird freaky stuff. And we are all looking at each other going, ‘I don’t like being here. I don’t like being an actor today.’
“He really did, he really freaked me out. I never liked clowns as a kid.”
Meanwhile, screenwriter Gary Dauberman previously revealed that ‘It – Chapter Two’ will attempt to bring to life some of the weirder elements from the book.
The second part of director Andy Muschietti’s acclaimed re-imagining of Stephen King’s 1986 novel is up and running following the success of the first movie, and Gary promised that the sequel will push even more boundaries.
He said: “It’s sort of organic; it’s really kind of just chipping away at the stone and trying to find the most focused, accessible way into some of more metaphysical aspects of that book.”

Kiki Layne tried not to fangirl over Sadie Sink at Kate Spade shoot

OHMYGOSSIP — Kiki Layne says shooting the latest Kate Spade campaign with Julia Garner and Sadie Sink was “so dope”.
The 27-year-old actress-and-model admitted that although she was afraid she would “fangirl” over ‘Stranger Things’ actress Sadie, 16, and ‘Ozark’ star Julia, 24, while they shot the latest campaign for the luxury accessory retailer, there was a “really warm” feeling on set and everyone was “really excited” to be part of the project.
In an interview with Elle magazine, she said: “At the shoot, working with Julia [Garner] and Sadie [Sink] was so dope. It was supposed to be just three girls having fun, like on a weekend getaway where silly, random stuff was happening.
“You could really feel that everyone was really excited about being a part of this campaign, and we all kind of understood what it meant to be a part of this campaign in particular.
“It was just really warm and Julia and Sadie are super dope. I’m also a huge fan of ‘Stranger Things’, so as soon as I learned that I was working with Sadie, I was just like ‘don’t you fan girl her at all’ [laughs]. And it dope meeting Julia as well. She’s going such great stuff with ‘Ozark’ and all of that.”
The ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ star went on to explain that she was “really thankful” to be chosen for the campaign, and loved that the brand chose young women at the beginning of their careers.
She explained: “I also just love that the brand chose us, these young women who are all starting off our careers in these projects in really dope ways, but it’s still very much so the beginning for all of us.
“So I’m really thankful that they even thought to reach out to me. I’m just now hitting twenty thousand followers on Instagram, like, who knows how many I had when they first reached out [laughs].”

John Mayer: I never apply thought to fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — John Mayer never applies “too much thought” to fashion.
The 41-year-old musician is known for his laidback style and the Grammy-winner has admitted he never takes his wardrobe choices too seriously, because he feels fashion should be a journey of mistakes until you find the right look that works.
Writing in the February issue of GQ magazine, Mayer wrote: “You shouldn’t let fashion hurt your feelings. If it does, that’s a good indicator you’re taking it way too seriously. Anybody, at any time, should be allowed to wear whatever they like. Whether it works or not will be for their future self to make peace with.
“God knows I have a very well-documented history of attempts. Take a hat, for example. Do you know how many hats you have to wear before you find the one that actually works? Wearing bad hats is the only path to a good hat. I’m still trying to fail. I’d like to lose on an outfit one out of every ten times. Means I’m trying. Or I’m not. Did you see how my point just crumbled before me? That’s what happens when you try to apply too much thought to fashion.”
John – who has recently teamed up with Ryan Adams to work on his album ‘Big Colors’ – also confessed that he loves his robes because they have multiple uses.
He added: “Everyone scratches their head about my wearing a robe until they try mine on. Then they understand completely. It’s a jacket, but it’s more laid-back. It’s a tent you can hang out inside of as you go about your day.
“It’s a security blanket of sorts. I still haven’t explained it perfectly, because I can’t. You just have to try one on that fits you right. Then you want it to take through your day like a companion.”

Paris Jackson has been ‘struggling’ with mental health ‘for some time’

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Jackson had reportedly been “struggling for some time” with her mental health before she took a break to work on her wellbeing.
The 20-year-old actress recently revealed she has stepped back from social media and her career amid reports she’s checked into a treatment facility for her mental heath, and sources now say she’s been “battling depression” for a while, and had even begun to distance herself from family members.
Speaking about Paris – who has brothers Prince, 21, and Blanket, 16 – an insider told People magazine: “She has been battling depression and is electively seeking help. This isn’t the first time she’s sought professional treatment for her mental health and specifically depression.
“[Paris] has been growing distant from her loved ones. She is still close with her brothers but has been struggling for some time.”
The claims come after the ‘Star’ actress – who is the daughter of late music icon Michael Jackson – took to Instagram to insist that media reports of her seeking treatment have been “exaggerated”, as she’s merely taken a short break from her career and social media.
She wrote: “the media is exaggerating per usual.. yes i’ve taken a break from work and social media and my phone because it can be too much sometimes, and everyone deserves a break, but i am happy and healthy and feeling better than ever! gabriel and i have some new music we’re stoked to share with y’all! (@thesoundflowers) hope you guys’ new year started out with lots of love and light and all the things. i’ll be back soon!! xxox (sic)”
Paris had previously opened up about her battle with depression and says it stemmed from hanging out with “a lot of older people doing a lot of crazy things”.
She explained: “I was doing a lot of things that 13-, 14-, 15-year-olds shouldn’t do. I tried to grow up too fast, and I wasn’t really that nice of a person. I was crazy. I was actually crazy. I was going through a lot of, like teen, angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help.”

Emmerdale’s Jeff Hordley gets in trouble for laughing on set

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ star Jeff Hordley gets told off for corpsing on set during serious scenes.
The 48-year-old actor plays Cain Dingle on the ITV soap and his alter ego is embroiled in a major storyline with his daughter Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) with her believing that her dad is responsible for the death of fiancé Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) following a fight but Joe’s associate Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) may actually be the man responsible.
The pair will be seen in some very heavy scenes in the coming weeks as Debbie can’t forgive her father Cain for his part in Joe’s passing but in between takes the two friends can’t stop making each other laugh despite the serious scripts much to the annoyance of the crew.
Speaking in a joint interview on ‘This Morning’, Jeff said: “This has been great to play because Charley and I are really just good friends and we really enjoy working with each other as sort of serious and dark and intense as some of the scenes can be. There’s a lot laughter on set.
Charley then interjected: “Sometimes too much!”
Jeff added: “When we make each other corpse sometimes, you can see the crew going, ‘Please can we get it together because we’ve got to get on.’ ”
Jeff admits there are trying times ahead for Cain because he believes he has “blood on his hands” and he knows his daughter Debbie can’t forgive her dad this time.
Jeff said: “People are asking the question is he alive, is he not, and I killed him, for the first time, blood on my hands.
“There’s be one constant in Caine’s life, it’s been its daughter and now that this happened because she’s always been for him and he’s always been there for her and this seems to be the end for them.”
Hinting there will be no reconciliation for the pair any time soon, Charley said: “We knew it was coming up, but it’s a big thing for them because it’s like will this destroy them forever and that’s the question that we don’t know at the moment. We’re filming stuff still aware they’re not speaking so who knows how long that’s going to go on for.”

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash keep cash separate for kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Stacey Solomon and her boyfriend Joe Swash have both agreed to keep separate bank accounts to ensure their children’s financial futures are secure no matter what happens in their relationship.
The 29-year-old television presenter and the 36-year-old actor moved in together before Christmas last year and all the finances for the property are split 50/50 between the two, but Stacey and Joe have made provisions for their kids which do not involve one another in case they did ever break-up.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (18.01.19) she said: “For me, I think it is a practical decision. Because I have two children outside of my relation with Joe it would be very difficult to throw everything in together because there are lots of things that I need to set up for my children’s future that I wouldn’t expect Joe to put aside for. We’ve got our things that are together and then we’ve got our things that are separate.
“He’s got a child, I have two children to care for. We are both 50/50 on the house we live in now and that’s ours and that is all 50/50. But then we have our own separate things and little bits for our children.”
Stacey has sons Zachary, 10, and Leighton, six, from two previous relationships, whilst Joe has 11-year-old son Harry with his former partner Emma Sophocleous.
Although she and Joe are making sensible financial decisions to prepare for any outcome in the future, the former ‘X Factor’ contestant never thinks about not being with Joe because she is madly in love with the former ‘EastEnders’ star and wants to marry him one day and have a “dream white wedding” ceremony.
She said: “I have this real white wedding dream in my head, I’d love to get married, I actually don’t want a marriage contract. I know that sounds ridiculous! I just want the day I want to declare my love to somebody. Once you’ve committed yourself to somebody a piece of paper isn’t going to make that any different for me.
“Joe is the most incredible human being. I absolutely adore him and trust him with every inch of my body.”
