OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga “burst into tears” when she found out she’d been nominated for two Academy Awards.
The 32-year-old singer-and-actress didn’t set an alarm for 5.30am when the nominations were announced on Tuesday (22.01.19), so it was down to her manager to break the news she’d been shortlisted for both the Actress in a Leading Role for ‘A Star is Born’ and Best Original Song for ‘Shallow’ once she’d woken woken up.
Gaga – who is in Los Angeles for a brief break before her Las Vegas residency resumes – told the New York Times newspaper: “I’ve been trying to get some sleep because I’m on showbiz time.
“I woke up around 8:30 and I didn’t know anything about it. [My manager told me and I] just burst into tears.”
Gaga is the first person to be nominated for the two Academy Awards in the same year and she’s very proud of her achievement.
She said: “To be recognised as the lead actress and a musician at the same time, I can’t tell you what that means to me.”
Even a steady stream of congratulatory texts didn’t rouse the ‘Alejandro’ hitmaker.
She admitted: “I can sleep through just about anything.”
However, Gaga -whose real name is Stefani Germanotta – quickly caught up on her messages and was particularly grateful for the ones sent by her family.
She said: “The ones that mean the most to me are the ones that come from my family.
“These are not Oscar nominations for me, these are Oscar nominations for the Germanottas. I come from an Italian-immigrant family, and this feels like a very big win for them. This film was a lot of hard work, and I wouldn’t know that hard work if I didn’t know the hard work of the lineage of my family.”
When it comes to celebrating her nominations, Gaga is planning to spend the evening watching her “dear friend”, Sir Elton John, in concert.
She said: “Well, tonight I’m very much looking to see my dear friend Elton John play here in Los Angeles for his farewell tour.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Brown is free to leave France after being released from police custody.
The ‘Yeah 3x’ singer and two other men, including his bodyguard, were arrested in Paris on Monday (21.01.19) after a 24-year-old woman made an allegation of rape and though he’s been given the all-clear to return to the US, the investigation is not over.
The prosecutor’s office told TMZ: “The investigations, which are not closed at this stage, will continue under the authority of the Paris prosecutor’s office.”
The prosecutors confirmed the 29-year-old star is free to leave France, having been released from custody on his own recognisance, without bail.
The two other men who were arrested have also been let go.
The official announcement comes after Chris took to Instagram to protest his innocence against the allegations.
The ‘Loyal’ hitmaker – who has four-year-old daughter Royalty from a past relationship – shared a photo on Instagram which read “This B!tch Lyin’ ” and added the caption: “I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR…… THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP!
“NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!(sic)”
The alleged victim has claimed she was attacked in Chris’ suite at the five star Mandarin Oriental hotel on January 15.
In her police statement, which was obtained by French magazine Closer, she claims she met the singer – who has been accompanied on his France trip by girlfriend Ammika Harris – at Le Crystal club, near Les Champs-Elysees, and went him back to the hotel, after she and a friend were both invited there by the ‘Run It’ hitmaker and the other two men.
She then claims she was separated from her friend and ended up alone with the singer, which is when the alleged crime took place.
According to reports, Chris and the other three men were arrested at his hotel and have been co-operating with their lawyers.

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooklyn Beckham has “tried to reach out” to his ex-girlfriend Lexy Panterra.
The 19-year-old photographer – who is the son of David and Victoria Beckham – might have recently been spotted hand-in-hand with his new girlfriend Hana Cross, but his former partner Lexy has claimed he tried to get back in contact with her, although she’s “ignoring” his attempts.
Lexy said: “There’s a zero chance of us getting back together or talking. He tried to reach out to me but I’m pretty much ignoring it.”
The 29-year-old singer also revealed she “just walked away” from the relationship – which lasted just two months after the pair were first linked in May 2018 – because she found their long distance romance to be a struggle.
When asked on ‘The Domenick Nati Show’ how things ended between her and Brooklyn, she explained: “Just walked away. It was a long distance thing and it wasn’t working out. He’s really young and obviously I realised that. So it just didn’t work.”
Lexy’s comments come after Brooklyn was seen last month at The Fashion Awards in London with his model beau Hana Cross.
The duo partied at a private residence in North London after attending the star-studded awards ceremony, and Hana later shared an Instagram video of herself and Brooklyn in which she kisses him on the cheek.
Brooklyn got together with Lexy after his split from girlfriend Chloe Moretz in early 2018, having being on and off for three years.
The 21-year-old actress had previously insisted the pair were right for each other.
She said: “I think we chose each other. It’s been years now off and on and it’s just one of those things, you come back and it’s like no time spent away from each other at all.
“I think that’s the most important thing and your lives are an open book. We like to have our own little private world and I think that’s important for both of us.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Hilaria Baldwin’s son left his mother “speechless” when he managed to pee in his “sippy cup”.
The 35-year-old health and wellness expert was shocked on Tuesday (22.01.19) when her son Rafael, three, proudly presented her with a cup full of his own urine, and although she wanted to “chastise him” for the odd behaviour, she was “impressed” with how he’d managed the feat.
Posting a picture of herself holding the cup on Instagram, Hilaria – who also has daughter Carmen, five, and sons Leonardo, two, and Romeo, eight months, with her husband Alec Baldwin – wrote: “Rafa just peed in this cup….like no joke. I have 4 kids….it’s hard to surprise me – and this left me speechless.
“It goes like this:
“He was so proud of himself and comes up to me and says: “mommy! I just peed in a cup!” He led me over to this blue sippy cup and sure enough it was filled with warm pee. And he didn’t spill ONE DROP on the floor. I was impressed. Then I was like: do I chastise him? How do you parent here?!?!? So I told him thank you for telling me and that we need to pee in the toilet. Then he backtracked and tried to tell me he actually made me a cup of tea…I guess it was warm, so it was a good try . Then he went back to the truth. Oh parenthood!!! (sic)”
This isn’t the only funny story Hilaria has when it comes to her parenting journey either, as she recently described a time when her daughter Carmen “screamed for 40 minutes” after being told she couldn’t climb inside a trash can.
She recalled: “She kept on screaming that she wanted me to let her climb into the trash. And she was like, ‘You’re so mean! You’re a bad mommy! You won’t let me go in the trash!’
“She screamed for a solid 40 minutes after that about how I was so mean I wouldn’t let her go into the Union Square trash. And I will be telling her that story at the wedding.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Harry Potter’ star Matthew Lewis has asked for an engraved letter from his wife to be returned after his wallet was stolen.
The ‘Harry Potter’ star, who tied the knot with Angela Jones in May, has been left devastated after the sentimental trinket disappeared in East London, and took to Twitter on Tuesday (22.01.19) to ask whoever has his purse to keep the money and bank cards, but return the personal metal note.
The 29-year-old actor – who is best known for playing Neville Longbottom in the wizarding franchise – says he will “call it evens” if the person who has it simply hands over the memento.
He wrote: “Yo, if you stole my wallet in East London yesterday or even if you just found it: it’s yours, keep it, have the money, the cards, the lot.
“But the note from my wife engraved on a piece of metal, if you can post that to the address on the driving licence I’d call it evens. Please?”
Matthew first met events planner Angela at a Wizarding World event at Universal Studios in Orlando, where she works, in January 2016.
It was reported at the time of their engagement that Matthew proposed to Angela in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The ‘Me Before You’ star confirmed they were married last May, in a humorous tweet in which he bemoaned missing out on watching Arctic Monkeys perform because he was too busy saying his vows.
Posting a picture of himself with his bride on the micro-blogging site, Matthew wrote: “Not only did I miss @ArcticMonkeys in LA but they were performing in Italy at the same time we were there and my wife made me get married instead. Fuming. (sic)”
The couple announced their engagement in December 2016, when a representative for the actor said they were “over the moon”.
They added: “They’re both over the moon. They got together in July and hit it off straight away.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mario says he and Tinashe “have a vibe” – but aren’t dating.
The ‘Let Me Love You’ hitmaker and the 25-year-old singer were spotted on what appeared to be a dinner date at Craig’s in West Hollywood recently, but the 32-year-old hunk has insisted they are just friends.
Het told The New York Post’s Page Six column: “She is a beautiful girl and we do have a vibe. But I [had] never been to Craig’s, and she asked me if I wanted to go to dinner with her and her manager.”
The pair have been spending time together after working on the television series ‘Rent: Live’ – based on the hit musical – which airs this month.
The R&B star also revealed that he has been on dates after women have slid into his DMs.
However, he has one rule for online dating, which is that if he hasn’t met a date in person after a week of chatting on social media, he friend-zones them.
He said: “I’ve dated girls that dropped in my DMs … absolutely; it’s 2019,” he said. “But if we don’t get out of the DMs within the first week, we’ll keep it at ‘Hi’ and ‘Bye,’ just a friendship. I’ll probably just fade away because I’ve had many of those.”
Tinashe split up from basketball player Ben Simmons in May last year, after seven months of dating.
The ‘No Drama’ singer has previously opened up about the pressures of being in a “public” relationship.
She said: “I think with a lot of these industry relationships, it’s beneficial for everyone involved to be public because it is such a huge HUGE talking point.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt recently moved in with his fiancee Katherine Schwarzenegger.
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star and the author – who is the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver – recently got engaged and now it has been revealed that the couple relocated to west Los Angeles last week.
An insider told People magazine: “Since they started dating, Katherine has taken Chris to all of her favourite neighbourhood places.
“And Chris clearly likes her neighbourhood.”
As part of his divorce settlement with ex-wife Anna Faris – with whom he has six-year-old son Jack – Chris has to live no more than five miles apart from the ‘Overboard’ star and their little boy.
The actor lived in the Hollywood Hills with Anna, and she is also believed to have moved to west Los Angeles.
Last week, the 39-year-old star shared a video of him helping to move Katherine out of her Santa Monica home.
Chris captioned the Instagram clip: “I love moving!! Picking up heavy things and moving them into the back of a truck was my major in college! OHMYGOSSIP — Sir David Jason has hit out at plans to demolish a tower block used as the setting for ‘Only Fools and Horses’.
The sitcom’s main star – who played Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter in the BBC show – believes Harlech Tower, which was used as the exterior for Del and his plonker brother Rodney Trotter’s (Nicholas Lyndhurst) home Nelson Mandela House, should be a protected building.
He said: “Of course I think it should be a listed building. What a shame. But they are not going to listen to me are they?”
As Del would not doubt say, David, 78, describes the building – which is based in Ealing, west London – as a “proper block of flats”.
Speaking at the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s ‘TOTEM’ show at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday evening (16.01.19), he added: “It was a proper block of flats and it was of its time, which was fine and is probably why we used it. It was great.
“Del Boy would say, ‘Next time this year Rodney we will be billionaires.’ And he’d be right. They are now aren’t they now?”
Harlech Tower is to be knocked down to make way for new flats after Ealing Council granted outline planning permission for 1,950 homes in December.
There are more than 3,000 planned for the future, with half set to be offloaded to private buyers.
While Harlech Tower is in west London, the sitcom was set 13 miles away in east London’s Peckham.
Last year, an ‘Only Fools’ super-fan splashed out £28,000 on pocket watch which made Del and Rodney millionaires in the sitcom.
The timepiece – which was known as the Harrison Lesser Watch in the show, in which it sold for £6.2 million at Sotheby’s 1996 Christmas special ‘Time on Our Hands’ – was expected to fetch around £15,000 at auction.

OHMYGOSSIP — Saoirse Ronan dreaded working with the horse she rode in ‘Mary Queen of Scots’.
The 24-year-old actress has revealed she struggled with the horse that appears in the Josie Rourke-directed drama film – in which she portrays Mary Stuart – because he was un-cooperative and used to get nervous on set.
The ‘Ladybird’ star said on ‘The Graham Norton Show’: “The horse I had to ride had starred with Wonder Woman and was very good looking and he knew it.
“He just wouldn’t do anything, he wouldn’t move. Then I realised that every time someone shouted ‘rolling’ he would do a little cough. He was actually nervous!”
Saoirse also revealed that she and co-star Margot Robbie – who portrays Queen Elizabeth I – were both in tears when they saw each other for the first time in costume.
The actress was shocked when she first saw Margot, 28, transformed with a chalk-white face and red wig for the first time.
Saoirse shared: “We had been kept apart and we didn’t know what the other one looked like.
“Especially seeing Margot as Margot and then seeing her with an extremely white face and the nose and the whole thing it was so extreme.
“They shot our close-ups simultaneously and everything that we were doing was for the benefit of the film.”
Margot also revealed that she and her co-star never saw each other on set until the cameras were rolling.
She recalled: “We never saw each other in character until that moment when the cameras were rolling and Saoirse pulls down the last sheet between us.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Toni Collette is set to star alongside Anna Kendrick in the sci-fi thriller ‘Stowaway’.
The 46-year-old actress will play the commander of a spaceship, with Anna starring as a medical researcher in the Joe Penna-directed film.
‘Stowaway’ is based on script written by Joe and Ryan Morrison, whose story revolves around a mission headed to Mars that’s thrown off course by severe damage caused to the spaceship.
Joe and Ryan – who were the driving forces behind the survival movie ‘Arctic’, which premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival – are also poised to executive produce the movie.
Toni recently appeared in the horror thriller ‘Hereditary’ and is also set to star in Netflix’s ‘Velvet Buzzsaw’ with Jake Gyllenhaal and Renee Russo.
But the actress recently insisted she’s now “too old” to star in a ‘Muriel’s Wedding’ sequel.
Asked whether there would be a ‘Muriel’s Wedding’ sequel, Toni – who starred as Muriel Heslop in the 1994 comedy-drama movie – explained: “I can’t imagine what that would be?
“They made a musical about it which is about to tour Australia. I was a little dubious and a little concerned about it – it blew my mind. It was so good. I really hope it comes to the West End. It’s absolutely brilliant.
“It could be a film version of the musical. I’m too old [to reprise my role]. I could maybe play the mum.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke’s casting in ‘Last Christmas’ helped her to overcome the disappointment of ‘Game of Thrones’ ending.
The 32-year-old actress – who stars as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO fantasy series – was devastated by the show coming to a close, and was thankful for the opportunity to star alongside Henry Golding in the Paul Feig-directed romantic comedy.
She told the Daily Mail newspaper: “This is it. It’s over and I cried like a baby on the last day. I felt completely lost.
“It was very strange and wonderful to get this [‘Last Christmas’]. This part couldn’t be more opposite, because dragons ain’t funny.
“Ten years is a long time. It’s like losing an actual limb. I was 22 – a child – when I first walked on the ‘Game of Thrones’ set. I grew up with her.”
Henry has recently emerged as one of the up-and-coming stars in Hollywood, having made his feature film debut in ‘Crazy Rich Asians’.
Despite this, the Malaysian actor has insisted he doesn’t want to be “defined as the Asian leading man”.
He said: “I don’t want to be defined as the Asian leading man. I want to be the leading man. Henry Golding.
“If it means helping inspire other Asians to be leading men, hell yeah, I’ll take it. You don’t know how proud I am to have that associated with my name.
“Sadly, we’re so underrepresented that we have to start with these labels to be proud of it, to normalise it. So s**t, I’ll be the next Asian leading man.”

The ‘Big Little Lies’ star – who has Ava, 19, and Deacon, 15, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe and six-year-old Tennessee with spouse Jim Toth – has discovered the best way to get through to her teenagers is to simply send them short messages on the app.
Reese took to her Instagram account to share a selfie with a filter that had the words “Go clean your dirty room” written across it.
She captioned the post: “How to talk to teenagers on Snapchat #momlife.(sic)”
The 42-year-old actress has previously admitted she and her daughter are so close, they share everything with one another.
She said: “We can talk for hours. There is nothing like the love I have for my daughter.
“We share every emotion with each other, our hopes, and dreams. I think the way Ava and I are most alike is our strong opinions and our empathy.
“From the time that she could speak, Ava has always had her own ideas, and I love to watch her express herself.”
And the ‘Legally Blonde’ star has also confessed to turning to Ava when she needs advice because she’s such a good listener – but she has also learned things from her plain-speaking son Deacon, who isn’t too afraid to call her out when she’s being “embarrassing”.
She confessed: “Well, my daughter is pretty good at giving advice. She’s, you know what? She’s a really good listener. And then my middle son, Deacon, who is 14, kind of tells me when I’m embarrassing everybody in the family. So, that’s kind of good advice to know. [He’s embarrassed] when I say things like lit? He’s like, ‘Don’t say that.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian has broken her beauty rules since becoming a parent.
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star – who has nine-month-old daughter True with partner Tristan Thompson – isn’t particularly impressed that she’s found herself falling asleep with her make-up on and not even bothering to take it off in the morning.
She said: “There’s been a lot of nights where I would fall asleep with my make-up on, which I never used to do,” Khloe said while promoting their limited-edition #BECCABFFs Collection with BECCA Cosmetics. “And I will still wear the next morning! I never used to do that. It’s the one thing that I’m like, ‘Ugh, how did this happen?’ ”
And the 34-year-old beauty has had to strip back her make-up regime because she can’t keep True distracted for too long.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Mom life is a juggling act, but just learning how to put some highlighter on — and highlighter’s a little distracting.
“So even if you have a breakout, you’re like, ‘OK, I don’t have time for concealer.’ And giving your daughter make-up brushes goes a long way. I learned that. I’m like, ‘OK, you’re good, right?’ ”
Khloe admitted True likes to “play” with her cosmetics and joked the tot “looked really good” after delving into her make-up bag while she was trying to get herself ready for the day.
She said: “She’s playing with my make-up. But she doesn’t know what she’s doing.
“She was playing with highlighter earlier today and I was like, ‘I don’t know if this is OK, but it’s [helping me] finish getting dressed today, so… We’ll clean her up later.’ But she looked really good, sparkly!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Harvey Weinstein and his criminal defence lawyer Ben Brafman have parted ways.
The 66-year-old film producer – who is in the midst of a rape and sexual assault case – and the attorney have ended their professional relationship in amicable fashion, and Brafman has pledged to co-operate fully with Weinstein’s new legal team.
They said in a joint statement: “Both parties have agreed to part ways amicably, and Mr. Brafman has agreed to co-operate fully with new counsel for Mr. Weinstein so as to ensure an orderly transition.”
Weinstein – who is reported to have clashed with Brafman over the strategy for his case – will soon announce his new legal team.
The disgraced movie mogul is facing allegations he sexually assaulted production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006 and that he raped another woman in a hotel in Manhattan in 2013.
However, Brafman previously won a motion to dismiss the case of a third accuser, Lucia Evans.
He contested the allegations on the grounds of prosecutorial and police misconduct, and it was subsequently determined that New York detectives had failed to notify prosecutors of potentially exculpatory evidence.
Weinstein has denied the allegations of non-consensual sex.
Meanwhile, the filmmaker previously admitted he’s experienced “the worst nightmare” after being accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women.
In an email sent out to several people he previously worked with, Weinstein wrote: “I’ve had one hell of a year… The worst nightmare of my life. As you can see from these articles, the police have played a very difficult role in my investigation. All 3 police officers have either been retired or repositioned from the SVU. The articles are self explanatory but I’d like to speak to you on the phone if you have some time.
“There is more to this story… I appreciate your confidentiality.

OHMYGOSSIP — Keane are working on their first album in six years.
The ‘Everybody’s Changing’ hitmakers went on an indefinite hiatus in 2013, a year after releasing their last record ‘Strangeland’, and after frontman Tom Chaplin admitted he would need to repair his “complicated” relationship with bandmate Tim Rice Oxley, they have reportedly put their differences aside to hit the studio to make new music.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre newspaper: “The boys have had a good few years to do their own thing but now they’re back and raring to go once more.
“It’s been a long time coming and they’ve put all their differences to one side and are really loving working together again.
“They’ve been in the studio recording since the end of last year and have been offered songs by some amazing names. It’s all very exciting.”
Tom has had a successful solo career since the band went on a break, his 2016 solo LP ‘The Wave’ reached number three in the Official UK Chart.
Life in Keane didn’t come easy for 39-year-old singer, who saw his life spiral out of control in the mid-2000s due to his addictions to drink and drugs, and after picking himself back up again, he suffered a relapse in 2015.
Tom admitted in 2017 that reuniting with his bandmates would only be possible if he and Tim mended their relationship to make the group a “happy” place again.
Opening up about his difficult friendship with the 42-year-old keyboardist – who completes the rock band with guitarist Jesse Quinn – he said: “Me and Tim have a really complicated relationship. We have great love and respect, but there are other elements in that relationship. I think in order to do something with Keane we would have to explore ways to make it a happy and positive experience again. And at the moment it doesn’t feel for me it’s the right thing to be doing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bananarama have announced their first album in a decade.
Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward reunited with original member Siobhan Fahey for their first tour in almost 30 years in 2017, but she departed the group in August 2018.
Now the ‘Venus’ hitmakers are back, as a duo, and have announced their first record since 2009’s ‘Viva’.
Keren – who split from Wham! star Andrew Ridgeley in 2017 – has said that the new songs on ‘In Stereo’ are inspired by their own personal experiences, whether that’s heartache or finding love.
She explained: “We’ve always written from personal experiences.
“The perfect pop song is about creating a memory.
“If I look back on my life, you can almost tell the story of it through pop songs.
“Romances as a teenager, your first kiss, first love, first heartbreak.
“Those feelings don’t disappear, they change into something you can still write about from your own experience and everything around you.”
Keren says one of the reasons they continue after all this time, is because they have inspired so many fellow females throughout their lives.
She said: “The amount of women we’ve met that say that we were an inspiration to them growing up, has always been one of the best things about being in the band.”
Whilst Sara added: “I’d make an album every year if I could.
“Songwriting is what I love to do, along with performing.”
The album, which features lead single ‘Dance Music’, is released on April 19, and will be followed with a UK tour.
The run of dates kicks off at Omeara on April 26, and wraps at Glasgow’s St Luke’s on May 2.
