OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey is thankful she had her “meltdown” before she found fame.
The 24-year-old singer suffered a breakdown when she was a teenager in which she attempted to take her own life and was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for 17 days, where she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
And the ‘Bad At Love’ hitmaker says she’s thankful she dealt with her mental health during her teen years, because she thinks it would have been a far worse experience if she’d gone through her breakdown in the spotlight.
She said: “It was a lot of things happening at once, with a complete lack of direction.
“Thank God I learned it then. Given what I’ve been experiencing the past couple of years if I hadn’t already had my meltdown, who knows when it would have happened?”
Halsey’s comments come after she’s experienced a tough few years, which have seen her battle an endometriosis diagnosis, a miscarriage, and a very public breakup from her ex-partner G-Eazy.
And the ‘Colours’ singer says her failed suicide attempt made her realise she doesn’t want to die, and gave her fresh perspective when it comes to how she creates her art.
Speaking to Glamour magazine, she added: “I have obviously been given this massive privilege and responsibility to effect change. At the end of the day, no matter how meaningless one person might consider my art, it could have meant the world to somebody else.”
Meanwhile, Halsey previously took to Twitter to post a philosophical quote reminding herself to focus on her own happiness.
She wrote: “reminder to self: happiness is not a replacement for misery. it’s an addition. pain will always be there. but that’s okay. u allow happiness to join as another option. so when the time comes, it’s there waiting, existing; a possibility for when you’re ready to choose … @ me: life is not pain vs happiness. one does not replace the other. they exist together. happiness doesn’t arrive as a replacement. it arrives to assist u in carrying the weight of the pain … @ me: now remember that u dummy (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Jordan had a “big bust-up” with Gemma Collins on ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional is currently competing in the ITV ice dancing competition, and has said he recently had an argument with fellow contestant Gemma – who has been blasted recently for her “diva” antics, which have included accusing judge Jason Gardiner of “selling stories” about her live on the show – after he believed her to be “in the wrong about something”.
He said: “Gemma and I had a big old bust-up the other day – I felt she was in the wrong about something.”
But James insists the ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star admitted she was wrong and “apologised to everyone concerned”.
Speaking to Best magazine, he added: “She said, ‘You know what? You’re right.’ And she apologised to everyone concerned. That takes humility. What can I say … she gets carried away when she’s upset.”
James’ comments come after it was previously claimed Gemma has been “working really hard” in training, as she’s determined to “show everyone what she’s made of” following several comments that have been made about her lack of professionalism.
Associate Creative Director Daniel Whiston – who was formerly a professional skater on the show before being promoted for this year’s series – said: “Gemma has been working really hard this week, putting in the training hours and really concentrating on improving her skating skills and learning her routine. I think she wants to go out and show everyone what she’s made of, and put on the best performance she can.”
Meanwhile, Jason is believed to be planning to take legal action against Gemma after she accused him of selling stories about her and also branded him “boring”.
A source said: “Jason has made Gemma aware that he intends to sue her. He’s livid.
“He insists that all he did was give an interview to The Sun, where he was asked about lots of things, including Gemma.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Taraji P. Henson wants to get married in the summer.
The 48-year-old actress is engaged to former American football star Kelvin Hayden, and has said that whilst she hasn’t begun planning her wedding yet, she wants to tie the knot “soon”, and is “trying” to have plans in place for this summer.
Speaking to Us Weekly magazine, she said: “I haven’t [started planning]. I don’t have a date yet. I’m trying for the summer, but you know, I got scripts coming, gotta strike when it’s hot!
“I mean we live together, we’re not going anywhere. But trust me, we are getting married. And soon … [it] won’t be a 10-year engagement.”
The ‘Hidden Figures’ star recently admitted she was still “learning how to be ready” for marriage, as she said she and her future husband are learning “how to be better in a relationship” every day.
She said: “I’m still learning how to be ready. Every day I’m learning how to be better in a relationship. I just found out, in our therapy sessions, that men have fewer words than women. I didn’t know that. They run out of words. Because women are emotional, we want to talk through everything. Of course we have more words; we’re the communicators. Kelvin, he thinks he’s a comedian. Anytime we’re in a disagreement or I’m like, ‘We need to talk about this,’ he’ll look at me and say, ‘Baby, I done ran out of words.’ He’s joking, but I’m starting to accept that it’s true.”
Taraji revealed her engagement news in May last year, and admitted later that month that she was over the moon to be marrying her “best friend”.
The ‘Empire’ actress said: “My fans know. They’ve read my book, they know my story, they know I’ve been looking for love. I just feel happy and I feel like I’ve finally found the one. This is the guy I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. I’m marrying my best friend.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins has lost two stone while competing on ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 37-year-old TV star – who is skating alongside pro partner Matt Evers in the competition – has shed several pounds after asking for double training sessions, according to the ice skater.
Matt told The Sun Online: “Gemma has lost two stone. She’s incredible.
“She weighed herself last Thursday and came in and told us all the news on Saturday, saying, ‘It’s official. I’ve lost two stone.’
“She asked for double training sessions – she is on three hours on the ice. She gets there early and texts me saying, ‘Matt, where are you? I’m here.’ It’s a different person.
“The body confidence is definitely there.
“She says she feels stronger, she can feel her core strength as we have started including a few sit ups and squats to warm up now too.
“There’s an emotional transformation too, in all areas of her life.”
While the bubbly blonde has been congratulated for her weight loss, there have been recent concerns that her blood sugar levels may have fallen too low.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star – who stumbled during her routine with Matt on Sunday’s (27.01.19) live show – reportedly thinks she fell face-first onto the ice because she momentarily lost consciousness after her blood sugar levels plummeted.
A source said: “Gemma had been wired up to a heart monitor before she went on stage.
“She believes she blacked out while she was skating, which is what caused her to crash into the ice.
“She didn’t know what had happened when she got back up – her blood sugars were low and she didn’t feel right.
“She is determined to make the show on Sunday despite the injury and is telling her friends, ‘I ain’t giving up’.”
Gemma had previously admitted she was “absolutely devastated and embarrassed” by the fall but couldn’t wait to get back onto the ice.

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis drank “three bottles of wine” in the mornings before her rehab stint.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ star – who plays Sinead Shelby on the Channel 4 soap – has opened up about her previous alcohol issues, admitting she suffered regular panic attacks, anxiety and night terrors.
Speaking about her decision to go to rehab on Tuesday’s (29.01.19) episode of ‘Loose Women’, she said: “I think you can only really do it yourself. People were telling me for ages. I didn’t want to hear it. I gave up the fight. I did not want to do it every day.
“At the end I was drinking every day, a lot, probably three bottles of wine in the morning.
“I got told I had trauma and PTSD when I got to rehab. I was having panic attacks and anxiety. I was having night terrors. I was using it to go to sleep.
“I was in so much pain. I had to realise that blocked the pain for a while but then it starts to take and take and take.”
Stephanie, 25, confessed that her two-year-old son, Caben-Albi, who she shares with ex-partner Jeremy McConnell, was the reason she never gave up and decided to go to rehab.
She added: “I didn’t want to live. I wanted to die. I didn’t want to live anymore. I tried to kill myself.
“But when I thought about doing it again it was scary. I thought, ‘It’s not fair to leave him [Caben] without a mum and a dad.’
“It wasn’t out of choice. It’s an illness and I was broken. When I said I wanted to go to rehab my mum and auntie cried. They said ‘we’ve got our Steph back.’ ”
The brunette beauty started dating her ‘Hollyoaks’ co-star, Owen Warner, last month, and the pair have now moved in together.

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Barton Hanson is said to have “kidnapped” the “incredibly wonderful hamster” she shared with ex-boyfriend Wes Nelson.
The 24-year-old reality TV star – who publicly split from her the 20-year-old hunk, who she met on ‘Love Island’ last summer, on Saturday (26.01.19) – allegedly took their four-legged friend Jon Snow for herself, despite claims they would co-parent the pet no matter what.
A source told The Sun Online: “Wes knew something was wrong the moment he came home from a day on the ice and couldn’t hear the squeak-squeak of Jon Snow’s wheel.
“It turned out Megan had swiped the hamster and the cage and hit the road – days after asking for privacy for the hamster and promising they would be co-parenting the pet.
“Wes was shocked she’d just taken Jon Snow without saying anything after everything she promised.”
Despite Wes’s devastation, he is said to be understanding, because Megan will “take good care of the pet as he hasn’t got much time to play with him due to his ‘Dancing On Ice’ training”.
Megan and Wes moved in together in October, but on Saturday the curvaceous blonde confirmed the pair had broken up with a tongue-in-cheek statement that echoed the one Gwyneth Paltrow released when she split from Chris Martin in 2014.
It read: “We are parents first and foremost, to one incredibly wonderful hamster and we ask for his and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
“We haven’t really conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”
She signed it off: “Megan & Wes.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie McGee is missing her late husband Paul Daniels more than ever following her breast cancer diagnosis.
The 60-year-old star is in the early stages of recovery following surgery to remove two tumours, and while she has been told by her doctors she does not need a mastectomy, she knows Paul, who died in 2016 aged 77, would love her “whatever [she] looked like” if she had to have further surgery.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ she said: “When I go through anything that makes me unhappy I always think what would he have done, but this time I missed him more because I thought if I have to have a mastectomy, I thought if Paul was here I know whatever I looked like he would love me.
“But now I’m on my own, I really missed him because if he was alive I wouldn’t have that extra worry really.”
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant went on to explain that while she’s had a difficult few weeks, she tries to maintain a rational and positive outlook on life.
She said: “I just think in the last three years I’ve gone through more stress than I’ve ever been through in my life, but there have been moments.
“I suffered from anxiety at one point because I was really worried about my future. I don’t worry about anything until I’ve got to worry about it.
“When I went for the results my sister said, ‘Why aren’t you worrying?’ And I said, ‘When I’ve got something to scared of, I will worry,’ but over the last three years there have been times when I’ve found it quite hard to cope.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson’s romance came to an end after they realised they were moving “too quickly”.
The former ‘Love Island’ contestants split this month after getting together on the ITV2 reality show last year, and it’s now been claimed they called time on their relationship after it became apparent they were moving too quickly, with the pair moving in together after leaving the show.
A source said: “Their relationship moved too quickly – they couldn’t keep up with it. One minute they were on a show together and the next Wes is moving out of his family home to live in a London flat with her.”
The insider claims the four-year gap between Megan, 24, and Wes, 20, also didn’t help their romance, as well as Megan’s doubts about the long hours Wes has been spending in training for ‘Dancing on Ice’ with his ice skating partner Vanessa Bauer, who split with her own boyfriend shortly before the pair made their first appearance on the show this month.
The source added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “It all became very intense and what’s worse is that their sex life started to suffer. As soon as Wes started to train for Dancing on Ice he became too tired for anything in the evening.
“There’s a four-year age difference between them too – that coupled with the threat of Vanessa and all the time her and Wes were spending together there was no hope.”
Meanwhile, Megan recently revealed she’s devastated about the break-up, but she is “determined” to have a “positive and happy” 2019.
Writing on her Instagram Stories, she said: “Hands down one of the worst days of my life.
“I can’t thank you enough for the support. It makes it all worth while (the endless trolling, negative stories, dealing with publicly breaking up, being papped having to force a smile when my whole world is crumbling).
“Feels like I can’t put a foot right BUT knowing I can help motivate/ inspire people even a TINY bit makes me want to continue on in the public eye.

OHMYGOSSIP — Nile Rodgers & Chic are set to headline Kendal Calling 2019.
The 66-year-old music legend and his band will take to the stage at the four-day festival in the Lake District’s Lowther Deer Park this summer, where they look set to get the party started with their impressive back catalogue of hits, including ‘Le Freak’ and ‘Good Times’.
Joining the 70’s disco legends as headliners at the event – which runs from July 25 to 28 – are ‘Not Nineteen Forever’ hitmakers Courteeners, who will be making their Kendal Calling debut over a decade since they first broke out onto the scene with their breakout album ‘St. Jude’ in 2008.
Mancunian three-piece Doves will also take up a headline slot at the festival after last taking to the Kendal stage in 2010, as they later embarked on a nine-year hiatus, and will be marking their return to the stage with their performance at the 2019 event.
Two years after their Kendal Calling debut, Manic Street Preachers are also returning to headline, whilst techno giants Orbital will be offering fans a unique multi-sensory treat when they take to the stage.
Festival director Andy Smith said in a statement: “We’re thrilled to be heading into our 14th year with no less than five headliners! From anticipated headline slots, to Kendal Calling favourites, legendary sing-along dance anthems & spotlight spectacles, this year’s line-up is one of our most diverse yet, allowing us to bring huge headliners to the fields of Cumbria, as well as exciting female fronted-bands, and shining new stars, amongst the rest of the magic that is sprinkled across the festival site, from art installations, to comedy, cabaret, gourmet food, real ale and so much more!”
As well as the impressive list of headline acts, Tom Jones, Miles Kane, Years & Years, The Fratellis, Kt Tunstall, Mystery Jetts, The Subways, and Gerry Cinnamon are just some of the other acts set to perform across the weekend.
Tickets for Kendal Calling 2019 go on sale on Thursday (31.01.19) at 10am.

OHMYGOSSIP — John Travolta says Olivia Newton-John is doing “fine” as she battles breast cancer for the third time.
The 64-year-old actor – who starred with Olivia in ‘Grease’ – has revealed his former co-star is doing well, despite her ongoing battle with cancer, which she revealed in 2017 is her third time fighting the disease.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, John said: “From what I hear talking to her she’s fine. I think she even made a public announcement in her own video, [saying] that she was fine.”
John’s comments come after 70-year-old Olivia took to social media earlier this month to rubbish false claims that she had just “weeks” to live, as she insists she’s still in good health.
She said in a video on Twitter: “Happy New Year, everyone! I just want to say the rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated, to quote a very famous quote, and I’m doing great and I want to wish all of you the happiest, healthiest 2019 that’s possible.
“Thank you all for the wonderful love and support for me and for my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness Centre in Melbourne, Australia.”
The update on her condition came after she previously revealed that she’d faced a second battle with cancer in secret in 2013.
Olivia was first diagnosed with cancer in 1992 and underwent a partial mastectomy, nine months of chemotherapy and a breast reconstruction, and after she revealed the disease had returned in May 2017, she told fans in September last year this current battle was her third after the one she’d faced in private five years previous.
Despite her ongoing medical battle, Olivia won’t be consumed by negativity, as she knows she’s “a very privileged person”.
The ‘Physical’ hitmaker added: “There are other people out there doing much, much worse than me. I’m a very privileged person, and I’m very aware of that. I live in this beautiful place. I have a wonderful husband. I have all the animals that I adore. I have an incredible career. I have nothing, really, to complain about.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Hudson is a “hands-on” mother.
The 39-year-old actress is mother to Ryder, 14, Bingham, seven, and three-month-old daughter Rani Rose, and despite her hectic work life – which includes running her Fabletics line, being a movie star, and being an ambassador for Weight Watchers – she still manages to find time to be a fully present parent to her brood.
Her pal Sara Foster said: “Kate is the most hands-on mom and I don’t know how she does it all. She really does it all. Whoever says women can’t do it all, she does it all.”
Sara – who is the stepsister of Kate’s boyfriend Danny Fujikawa, the father of little girl Rani – also revealed the newborn tot is “a very chic baby” as the ‘Almost Famous’ actress has bought her “every outfit and turban that you can imagine”.
Speaking to People magazine, Sara added: “Kate puts turbans on her and I’m so jealous because I didn’t know about these turbans when I had daughters. Little girls have no hair usually, so these turbans, they’re so cute! I know if I have a third [daughter], I’ll take them all.”
Meanwhile, Kate was recently forced to clarify comments about her parenting after she said she would be taking a “genderless” approach to raising her daughter, and some people thought she meant she would be raising Rani to be genderless.
She wrote on Instagram: “Recently someone asked me something along the lines of, if having and raising a girl is different from boys. My response was simple. Not really. The whole click bait tactic of saying I’m raising my daughter to be ‘genderless’ is silly and frankly doesn’t even make sense.
“I raise and will continue to raise my children, both my boys and girl to feel free to be exactly who they want to be. To feel confident in their life choices and feel loved and supported no matter what. Me saying a ‘genderless approach’ was a way of refocusing the conversation in a direction that could exist outside of the female stereotype. It just felt a little antiquated to me. Not all girls want to be a princess, some want to be king. And that’s fine by me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Donae’O thinks “communication” is the key to a lasting romance.
The 33-year-old singer – whose real name is Ian Greenidge – believes the most romantic thing to do for a partner is to simply “ask a lot of questions” and communicate, because he says people will open up if they have someone who is willing to listen.
Speaking in an interview for Chicken Shop Date’s Hot Sauce Tour powered by VOXI, Donae’O said: “Top romance tips? Ask a lot of questions. Nine times out of 10, the person tells you what they want if you listen. So when it comes to romance, communication is actually the best thing you can do. So you can start from there.”
And the ‘Chalice’ singer insists using music to “woo a woman” is also a surefire way to success, as he says he “always” writes love songs to send to his special lady.
He added: “Have I ever used music to woo a woman? Yes! I always use music to woo women, I write love songs all day every day, and then I’ll send it to the girl I’ve written the song about.”
But one thing Donae’O won’t do is turn to dating apps.
He said: “When it comes to dating apps, I mean … I’m quite comfortable speaking to women in person, so I don’t really need to do that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow is being sued by a man who alleges she crashed into him whilst skiing in Utah three years ago.
A man named Terry Sanderson is reportedly taking legal action against the 46-year-old actress after he claims she caused a collision whilst on a skiing holiday in Deer Valley Resort, Utah, back in February 2016, which he alleges left him with severe injuries.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Sanderson alleges Gwyneth had lost control of her skis when she collided with him from behind, knocking him over and causing him to allegedly sustain a concussion, a brain injury and four broken ribs.
Sanderson accuses the ‘Iron Man’ actress of picking herself back up after the alleged incident and continuing on her way without checking if he was okay, and even claims a ski instructor stopped to accuse Sanderson of causing the crash and then skiing away without helping.
The man believes the instructor filed a false report casting blame on him in an attempt to protect Gwyneth.
According to his court documents, Sanderson says that on top of his injuries, he also suffered loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress, disfigurement and medical expenses.
He is now seeking damages from the ‘Shallow Hal’ star in excess of $3.1 million, and is also taking legal action against Deer Valley Resort for the alleged actions of the instructor.
Gwyneth – who has daughter Apple, 14, and son Moses, 12, with her ex-husband Chris Martin – is yet to comment on the lawsuit, but her spokeswoman Heather Wilson said the case was “without merit”, and she expects the actress will be “vindicated”.
Emily Summers, spokeswoman for Deer Valley Resort, said she could not comment on pending legal matters.

OHMYGOSSIP — Celine Dion has slammed critics of her weight, as she says she feels “sexier” than ever.
The 50-year-old singer has lost some weight in recent years and changed her clothing style to fit her new body, but has hit out at those who believe she’s too slim, because she says if they don’t like the way she looks, they should just “leave [her] alone”.
Speaking in an interview for ‘The Dan Wootton Interview’ podcast, she said: “I’m doing this for me. I want to feel strong, beautiful, feminine and sexy. If I like it, I don’t want to talk about it. Don’t bother. Don’t take a picture. If you like it, I’ll be there. If you don’t, leave me alone.”
Her comments come after she launched a gender neutral clothing line for children called Celinununu last year, which she created in order to give children a “chance to feel free to find their own individuality”.
She said: “It’s not that we’re hoping to shift gender norms with Celinununu. It’s more about offering a choice and giving children a chance to feel free to find their own individuality, their own true essence without being tied to stereotypes. I think that every child needs to have their own identity, to express themselves freely, and to not feel like they have to be like someone else.”
Celine – who has three sons, eight-year-old fraternal twins Nelson and Eddy and 17-year-old René, with her late husband René Angélil – even says her twins love the items in the range.
She added: “My oldest son is 17, so no it’s not for him. Eddy and Nelson just turned eight and even though they’re twins, they are very different from each other. Both wear the line and they both think it’s great.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Andy Cohen has had a second baby shower in New York.
The 50-year-old star is set to become a father for the first time when his baby boy is born via surrogate mother in just a few weeks, and after last weekend saw him throw an extravagant baby shower in California with some of his Bravo network pals, he’s now had a second shower with his friends across the other side of America.
Posting a picture of himself at the bash alongside Palm Restaurant Group’s Bruce Bozzi, Kelly Ripa, Sarah Jessica Parker and friend Jackie Greenberg, Andy wrote on Instagram: “I had a heart-boner for days after this crew threw me an equally epic affair on the East Coast. I feel loved & it’s all going to the [baby]. Thank you @brucebozzi @kellyripa @sarahjessicaparker @jackie__greenberg. (Worth noting that Anderson made the ribbon hat and did a beautiful job!) (sic)”
The ‘Watch What Happens Live’ host’s previous baby shower was put together by several stars from the ‘Real Housewives’ franchise, including Kyle Richards, Vicki Gunvalson, Ramona Singer, NeNe Leakes, and Teresa Giudice.
Nearly 50 stars of the ‘Real Housewives’ programmes were at the event, as well as former ‘Flipping Out’ star Jenni Pulos – who also sings the theme for Andy’s talk show – Jerry O’Connell and wife Rebecca Romijn, SiriusXM host Amy Phillips, and Andy’s close pal John Mayer.
Speaking about the shower, Kyle said: “When he made the announcement, I could see in his face how happy and excited he is. I think he’s going to be a great dad. Andy is set to welcome a baby boy in the coming weeks, after revealing just before Christmas (25.12.18) that his tot was due in “six weeks”.
Over New Year (01.01.19), Andy then revealed the sex of his baby when he said: “I remember last year standing here thinking, ‘Will my baby be born this year?’ So, this is the biggest year for me. It’s a boy. And, I got to tell you something, I can not wait to meet this boy. I think he’s going to have a nice Semitic head of hair. I’m so excited I think about nothing else.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Kardashian’s family don’t think Blac Chyna “properly cares for” their daughter Dream.
The 31-year-old reality star has Dream, two, with his former partner Chyna, and after she recently jetted off to Hawaii leaving Rob “mad” that she’d hired a nanny to look after their tot instead of letting Rob have extra time with her as per their custody agreement, it has now been claimed Rob’s famous family are concerned about the former couple’s co-parenting plans.
A source said: “Rob’s family always had issues with Chyna. Chyna has long acted like her number one priority isn’t raising her kids. This is very hard for Rob’s family. They don’t feel like Dream is properly cared for when she is with Chyna. They find it to be a sad situation. Dream is the cutest little girl. She is very happy and so much fun to be around. Rob’s family just wants Dream to be raised in the best way possible.”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star doesn’t want to cut Chyna out of Dream’s life, but instead just wants their custody agreement honoured, so that he can spend extra time with his daughter whilst Chyna is out of town.
The insider added to People magazine: “Rob always wanted Dream to spend time with her mom, too. He has never wanted Chyna to be cut out of Dream’s life. But he also doesn’t want Dream to be raised by a nanny while her mom is off partying out of state.”
But Rob’s alleged anger at Chyna’s Hawaii trip comes after police recently visited the home of the 30-year-old model – who also has son King Cairo, six, with ex-partner Tyga – when an anonymous call was placed alleging she was too drunk to look after her brood.
However, when cops got to the house, they found no one was drunk and not only were her children being properly looked after, there was also a nanny in attendance at the property.
