Iggy Azalea thinks her music needs ‘visual storytelling’

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Azalea doesn’t think her music can exist without “visual storytelling”.
The ‘Sally Walker’ star – who released the new track last month ahead of her upcoming second album ‘In My Defense’- has explained that she will continue to release songs and videos on the same day because she feels it works best for the art she’s creating.
Taking to Twitter, she replied to an inquisitive follower: “Yes because I think everything I do is so intertwined with visual storytelling etc. it’s not the same without that.”
She promised another new song is “coming”, pointing out that fans should be patient because she only released her latest single two weeks ago.
Iggy, 28, also opened up about the amount of work that goes into her promo videos, and put it down to her own creative ideas.
She tweeted: “Let me tell y’all you do not know the struggle that is wanting entirely different makeup looks for every scene in a music video but only having 15mins to do changes. It’s like a big time management puzzle.”
Meanwhile, she has offered a defiant response to her critics and “higher up” people trying to hold her down, adding that she will “NEVER give up”.
She wrote: “One thing ya gotta know about me is you can try to stomp out my fire but I’m always gonna keep popping back up. I literally will NEVER give up. Never have. NEVER will.
EVEEREERRRRR. X 1000000.
“I hear about so many higher up ppl tryna stomp on my neck thinking it won’t get back to me. It does. But you know what? You might be powerful but I know me & everyone supporting gonna keep going regardless. All my battles will be fought with positivity. (sic)

June Brown fears robot takeover

OHMYGOSSIP — June Brown fears robots could end the world by going on a knifing spree in people’s homes.
The 92-year-old actress – who plays ‘EastEnders’ legend Dot Cotton – is concerned machines will take over at some point, and while she isn’t worried about them becoming more intelligent than humans, she does fear bots might start attacking people in the comfort of their own abodes.
She said: “Imagine having a robot in your sitting room.
“I don’t suppose it could develop a brain, but it might decide to put a knife in you. I wouldn’t trust it.”
And June has made a “cheerful” prediction that the introduction of robots in houses could result in the end of the world – if they develop murderous ways.
She is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “I don’t know what’ll happen – maybe the end of the world.
“That’s cheerful.”
Despite insisting she is “technology illiterate”, June does use a mobile phone but she isn’t a big fan of messages written in “text speak” and doesn’t touch computers.
She told TV Times magazine: “I’m technology illiterate. I don’t bother with computers, although I have an electronic reader.
“I can play CDs and I can use an ordinary mobile.
“But with mobiles now, all these funny things come up when I just want to make calls.
“Then there’s text speak, like, ‘C U 2moro’. It’s like hieroglyphics.”
However, June is in fact a computer game star having lent her vocal talents to the role of curvaceous, vampiric vixen Vivi, who has an American accent, in 1995 game ‘Brain Dead 13’.

Lorraine Kelly says she looks fine without plastic surgery

OHMYGOSSIP — Lorraine Kelly thinks she looks fine without plastic surgery.
The 59-year-old TV presenter says she is confident in her natural face and does not want to go under the knife, because she thinks it is “really sad” that people have work done and often end up looking worse than before.
Lorraine told Good Housekeeping magazine: “I look fine and to be honest with you, I see people who have had work done particularly on their lips and think ‘What are you doing?’
“My make-up artist Helen tells me not to have anything done.
“She sees people who have had work done and has to work 10 times harder to make them look the same as they did pre-surgery. I think it’s really sad.”
The ‘Lorraine’ host also admitted she would be “too scared” to have plastic surgery, but is not bothered because she doesn’t freak out over “a few wrinkles”, preferring to call them “laughter lines”.
She said: “Look, if you have had it done and nobody can tell, then good for you because we don’t know. I’d be too scared.
“I just think, do a few wrinkles – or should I say laughter lines – matter? Is it a big deal? I don’t think it is.”
The chat show host is happy to be praised for her glamorous appearance and fashionable clothes, and thinks things have changed because older women are now more stylish.
She said: “[I feel] very lucky [to be praised]. I feel we’re at a stage where we have more information than ever before, but I think we do generally take better care of ourselves.
“We don’t look older. When I was a kid, a woman of 60 looked like a woman of 60: a wee granny perm, a shapeless coat, a tartan shopping bag and comfy shoes.”
The full interview appears in the May issue of Good Housekeeping, on sale today (03.04.19).

Tanya Bardsley’s breasts were a safety risk on Celebs On The Ranch

OHMYGOSSIP — Tanya Bardsley’s big breasts were a health and safety risk on ‘Celebs On The Ranch’, her co-stars have revealed.
The 37-year-old model and former lads’ mags favourite boasts surgically enhanced 32D boobs and Jenny Powell – who joins ‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’ star on the 5STAR reality show – was worried her mammoth mammaries were going to hit her in the face when they were driving on a bumpy dirt track.
Jenny, 50, decided to take matters and Tanya’s breasts into her own hands to ensure their journey was a safe one.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Jenny said: “We were driving down a dirt track and it was so bumpy Tanya’s t**s were going all over the place. I had to grab hold of them to stop them jiggling around. We barely knew each other but I basically became her bra. I held on tight!”
Fellow contestant Louie Spence was also travelling in the vehicle and he admits Bardsley’s boobies were bouncing so much he thought they were going to hit him in the face.
The 49-year-old choreographer was very grateful to Jenny for her quick-thinking cupping of the wayward breasts.
Louie, 49, shared: “Tanya’s t**s are so big. If Jenny didn’t hold them down we were all going to be taken out. I had a grab at one point, but they didn’t do anything for me.”
The trio are joined on ‘Celebs On The Ranch’ by Georgia Steel, Eyal Booker, Mark Francis Vandelli, Courtney Green, Bobby Norris, Victoria Baker-Harber and Siva Kaneswaran.

Angelina Jolie calls for support for women

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie has called for more progress for women.
The ‘Maleficent’ star – who is a Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees – wants to change the laws that “treat women as second-class citizens”.
She said: “There is now a lot more awareness and discussion and many more countries have made commitments. For example, 156 countries have pledged not to include amnesties for rape when they are negotiating peace agreements. It is hard to believe, but peace treaties routinely grant immunity to people who’ve carried out the most disgusting violent crimes against civilians. So we have to make sure all those countries live up to that commitment.
“If you look across the world there are far too many women and girls who are not only not seeing progress, their rights are slipping away from them. We have to change laws that treat women as second-class citizens. But we also have to enforce them. So one of the things we are putting forward now is a proposal for a permanent international body to investigate war crimes, including mass rape and other sexual and gender-based violence.”
And Angelina – who has Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox with her ex-husband Brad Pitt – feels blessed to know so many strong women.
She told People magazine: “Most of my friends are women I have met and worked within the field. Over 18 years our lives have taken many turns. Good and bad. We have grown older, most of us mothers now, still committed to shared goals. feel very blessed in my work to have the opportunity to meet so many extraordinary people who spend their lives dedicated to others.”

Diane Keaton’s bad habit

OHMYGOSSIP — Diane Keaton has a “bad habit” of checking Instagram too often.
The 73-year-old actress has confessed she is addicted to the photo sharing site and admits she’s got to “calm it down”.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “It becomes a bad habit. It starts to be that thing you check too often. I’m still praying maybe I’ll get a million viewers, but I’ll never be Reese Witherspoon. What does she have – 15 million? I don’t even understand. I got to calm it down!”
Diane – who has over 800,000 followers on the social media site – mainly uses the app to post pictures of her outfits.
In one post, she shared: “TODAY’S OUTFIT: WHAT DO YOU THINK? IT’S FINE TO WEAR WHITE YEAR ROUND, RIGHT? I SAY “YES!” WHAT THE HELL?! (sic)”
Whilst in another post, she wrote: “TODAY’S OUTFIT: I HAD THIS @thombrowneny SUIT MADE AT LEAST 6 YEARS AGO AND IT’S STILL GREAT. I PUT THIS SKIRT OVER THE PANTS JUST TO TRY SOMETHING NEW. TOO MUCH? (sic)”
And in a third post, she captioned it: “TODAY’S OUTFIT: RALPH LAUREN NEVER FAILS… DO YOU THINK THE HAT’S TOO MUCH? I DON’T REALLY CARE I THINK I’LL WEAR IT ANYWAY. @ralphlauren (sic)”
Diane is a very open book and previously shared how she became bulimic to “fill a vast hole” in her life.
She explained: “I was trying to fill a vast hole. I had a massive appetite for … everything. Just wanting a lot. I can’t explain it – I still don’t really know why. But I will tell you why I stopped – I went into analysis with a woman five days a week because it was real bad. [Did her then partner Woody Allen know?] No, not at all. No one knew. I was really good at hiding. But I asked him about an analyst. Maybe he did know, but I don’t know for sure. I think it came up in a conversation like, ‘Maybe I should… Do you know anyone?’ that kind of thing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Roxanne Hoyle has been named Clas Ohlson’s Celebrity Mum of the Year 2019.
The mother-of-two – who is better known under her pseudonym of LadBaby Mum – has won this year’s award in a landslide victory, beating Cheryl Tweedy, Holly Willoughby and the Duchess of Cambridge to the crown.
Speaking of her win, Roxanne said: “I am so honoured and flattered to be chosen as Clas Ohlson’s Celebrity Mum of the Year. Being up against the likes of Holly Willoughby and Kate Middleton is just crazy. I’m not really sure how I’m even in the same category as such superstars and Princesses but it’s incredible to be recognised as a top mum. At the end of the day I’m just like every other mum in the country that’s trying to do the best for their kids and give them the very best start in life. It isn’t always easy when you’re dealing with daily tantrums and supermarket meltdowns but there’s nothing a Baby Shark dance can’t fix! Winning Celebrity Mum of the Year is one of the proudest moments of my life, especially as I spend most of my days wearing PJ’s, drinking re-heated coffee and baby wiping cottage pie off the wall! Thank you to everyone who voted.”
Speaking about the partnership, Briony Samuel, UK Media Manager at Clas Ohlson, added: “The Clas Ohlson Celebrity Mum of the Year award is about commending the tough juggling act of balancing a career with all-important family time. We are so pleased to be crowning Roxanne the winner this year, as she’s a great example of what it means to be a mum. She represents not just celebrity mums but mums across the nation who do a fantastic job of being a parent whilst dealing with the challenges of everyday life. Here at Clas Ohlson we have been helping families to simplify life for over 100 years and parenthood is at the heart of our brand. Clas Ohlson was founded in Sweden by a father and family values have been at the core of what we do ever since, providing products to help in the home. Our partnership with Celebrity Mum of the Year celebrates our values as a family brand and one which supports the dedicated efforts of parents across the nation. Roxanne is a very worthy winner, and we wish her and her family all the best.”

Robbie Williams: Fatherhood’s changed me

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams has changed since he became a father.
The ‘Angels’ hitmaker – who has Theodora, six, Charlton, four, and Colette, six months, with his wife Ayda Field – says he used to be all about late nights and “strippers and cocaine” before he became a dad but now he realises he wasn’t an “insomniac”, he was just “a bit lazy”.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “Back in the 90s, it used to be strippers and cocaine and now it’s hummus and celery and my life is much better for that. I used to live on rock star hours, which was go to bed at three or four o’clock in the morning, and wake up in the afternoon. You quickly realise when you have a child you are not an insomniac but a bit lazy and prone to exaggeration.”
Meanwhile, Robbie previously revealed he has swapped cigarettes for crayons and has found colouring in pre-drawn pictures is helping to relieve his cravings because it gives him something to focus on other than how much he’s missing smoking.
Speaking in an Instagram Live video, he said: “I’m just doing some colouring in, which is good because I’ve got something to concentrate on. Art is good for my mind. Anyone who is giving up smoking with me, keep on. The struggle is real. I’ve been all right all week, it’s been sort of six out of ten difficult and then in the last hour and a half I’ve just collapsed, panic attacks, over- whelmed … I’ve had to get out of the house just to calm down a little.”

The former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star is soon to begin working on her own fly-on-the-wall ITVBe series, which will air later this year, and network bosses are convinced the show will be a hit because of Gemma’s ever-increasing popularity.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “The reaction from viewers to her show had already got producers considering raising The GC’s profile.
“Then when she created such huge interest on ‘Dancing On Ice’, ITV bosses were convinced she had to have her own series.”
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ contestant’s new series will be similar to her previous one-off reality show ‘Diva Espana’, which had fans wanting more last summer, and the bubbly blonde was said to have been showered with offers for her own show.

Chanel Cresswell’s heartache helped The Bay performance

OHMYGOSSIP — Chanel Cresswell drew on real-life heartache to help her play a grieving mother in ‘The Bay’.
The ‘This is England’ star plays character Jess in the new ITV drama, in which she has been left devastated after her son Dylan was found dead, and the 29-year-old actress asked her mum about her auntie and uncle’s experience of losing their nine-year-old daughter.
She said: “When I got this role I already had some experience to draw on because my cousin died when she was only around nine years old.
“Obviously it wasn’t my child in that situation, but I was able to ask my mum about it.
“I asked about how my uncle and aunt dealt with losing a child at quite a significant age.
“It must have been awful. It’s a very personal thing.”
After the ‘Trollied’ star’s research, she was determined not to take on the role “lightly”.
She is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “Learning about what they went through got me in the mindset of how to do the role. A lot of people have gone through this, so you can’t take on a role like this lightly.”
Chanel has played out several harrowing scenes on the ITV drama – which continues tonight (03.04.19) – and admits she was “nervous” but also “really excited” to test herself with such hard-hitting segments.
She said: “Those particular scenes were extremely challenging and happened early on in the schedule but it’s so important to give them the respect they deserve.
“I was really excited but nervous also and rightly so.
“I really wanted to understand the grief that mothers go through so I watched a lot of documentaries, interviews and press conferences because Jess has to do an appeal, which were all very helpful in order to help me project that pain in a way that felt truthful.”

Tom Petty’s family embroiled in feud

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Petty’s widow and daughters are reportedly feuding over his unreleased music.
The ‘American Girl’ hitmaker died from an accidental overdose in October 2017 and while his wife, Dana York Petty, has field documents claiming she is in control of her late spouse’s estate, his two children from a previous relationship, Adria and Annakim have insisted they were also meant to be involved.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Dana has accused her step-daughters of blocking the release of solo material recorded by Tom 25 years ago, which she wanted to include with a box set to mark the 25th anniversary of his seminal album ‘Wildflowers’ – which would have generated over $1 million in royalties.
Adria is said to have attempted to stop the release because she was unhappy with the timing.
Dana also accused her of verbally attacking Tom’s bandmates and making it difficult for her to control the estate.
Adria allegedly wrote in an email to The Heartbreakers’ Benmont Tench and Mike Campbell: “What I don’t have the temperament for is having my entire life raped. Being disparaged. My dad being disgraced.
“I am sorry I am not a man and can not earn your respect through the work and deeds I do.”
Another element of the dispute allegedly centres around plans to rename a park in honour of the ‘I Won’t Back Down’ hitmaker in his home city of Gainesville, Florida.
After the estate were asked to create artwork for a park sign, and a representative submitted an album cover image, Adria allegedly said: “Your name is not Petty and you don’t have the backbone to protect the estate from a horrible image like this one. Shame on you.”
Adria is believed to have filed a petition with the probate court, accusing her step-mother of ignoring two of her late father’s wishes in his will, including a request to transfer the singer’s “artistic property” assets out of his trust and into a separate company managed by all three women.

Rare Prince mixtap announced for Record Store Day 2019

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince’s rare mixtape ‘The VERSACE Experience’ is being released on cassette for Record Store Day 2019.
The exclusive record – which was originally distributed as a promotional cassette in 1995 for attendees at Paris Fashion Week – included special remixes, segues, and sequencing overseen by the late pop icon himself.
‘The VERSACE Experience: PRELUDE 2 GOLD’ – set to drop on April 13 – has been recreated by The Prince Estate, NPG Records and Sony Legacy Recordings to bring the historical release to a whole new generation of fans.
The original release included remixes of 10 of the 15 tracks which would end up on ‘The Gold Experience’, including very rare versions of ‘Gold’, ‘P. Control’ and ‘Eye Hate U’.
In 2016, an original copy of the sought-after album became the most expensive cassette ever sold on the collectors site Discogs when it sold for £3,075.
Donatella Versace – who was one of the original recipients of the album – previously said: “He didn’t just influence my work, he epitomised what Versace stands for: Creative, fierce, daring, extraordinary.”
Record Store Day itself is a global celebration of physical music and “the culture of the independently owned record store”, with bands all over the world treating fans to special releases.
By releasing the mixtape on its cassette format, the collection will retain the unique spirit of the original by going against the event’s usual trend of artists bringing out special vinyls.
Meanwhile later this month, Prince fans will also be able to honour the ‘Purple Rain’ singer’s legacy at the ‘CELEBRATION 2019’ four day event at his Paisley Park home and recording sanctuary near Minneapolis.
The annual gathering will be held on April 25-28, featuring live music, panel discussions, screenings of classic concerts and special presentations looking at the cultural impact of the star.

Jodie Comer gives up heels

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Comer has “retired from heels”.
The ‘Killing Eve’ star much prefers hitting the dance floor in flat shoes as she finds they restrict her movement much less than wearing a heel.
She said: “I’ve also retired from heels at the age of 26… The range of dance moves you can do in a flat shoe.”
Jodie’s ‘Killing Eve’ alter ego, assassin Villanelle is known for her strong sense of style and the actress wishes she was as “bold” in her sartorial choices as her character.
Speaking to Phoebe Waller-Bridge for Britain’s ELLE magazine, she said: “I wish I was as bold as her. What I love about Villanelle is that she has a particular style. I feel like if you look through her wardrobe, there’s a definite theme running through it.
“I’m definitely a jeans girl, which I think she’s absolutely not.”
Jodie admitted she is slowly coming to accept her flaws but it has been a struggle to come to terms with the fact that appearance plays a big part in casting a role.
She said: “A big thing is trying to accept that, with acting, the reason for getting a part or not getting a part isn’t always about your talent or how talented people think you are; a lot of it is about your looks.
“Always worrying about the way you look or your weight for certain roles – that has always been a big insecurity of mine. I used to hate my teeth when I was younger.
“My whole teens, I pouted in every photograph; there are so many pictures where I’m doing the biggest duck face because I had a chip in my teeth after diving into a children’s swimming pool.
“Growing up as a teen, I always struggled with my weight and body image. What I’m trying to do – and I feel like I’m succeeding a little bit in – is be accepting of the fact that…
“I always put a stress on myself having to look a certain way, when you are who you are. Your ability to act, or whatever your job is, is worth so much more than how you look.”

She said: “It’s a place of discovery. [It will be] curating a lifestyle that’s very much the lifestyle that I lead.
“It’s important to use my voice to share everything I’ve learned.”
But Kourtney insists she won’t be projecting an image of perfection.
She said: “It’s all about living your best life and embracing the fact that it’s not perfect.”
While a number of members of the reality star’s family have launched their own product lines, Kourtney refused to say whether or not she’ll be joining them.
Quizzed on the possibility, she simply said: “I can’t say.”
The 39-year-old star – who has children Mason, nine, Penelope, six, and four-year-old Reign with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick – admitted she is “always” running late because she’s constantly busy with a number of different things at once.

Kourtney is known for her strict eating regime but she has recently adopted a more flexible eating plan.
She said: “I eat dairy and gluten in moderation.
“I try to do my best but I don’t stick to it religiously.”
But supplements play a big part in Kourtney’s diet and she sees a holistic doctor every two weeks to monitor what she needs.
She said: “We check my [blood] levels once I am finished with a new vitamin pack, and tweak what’s necessary.”
When it comes to her make-up and skin care, Kourtney does her best to use as many organic products as possible.
She said: “I try to use all natural beauty products.”

Kelly Clarkson ‘terrified’ about her talk show

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Clarkson is “terrified” about her upcoming talk show.
The ‘Since U Been Gone’ hitmaker has confessed she is really nervous about ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, which is starting in September, and she is “pretty stoked” about the whole thing.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “I’m, like, really excited about it, but I’m slightly terrified that people have that much confidence in me. I’m like, ‘God, I hope I don’t let people down!’ But no, I’m pretty stoked about it. This whole tour that I just finished up, we did this whole live part during it and I did, I interviewed people here and there and have been working on my listening skills. It’s going to be fun and also it’s very serious. In the pilot, we did a lot of serious conversations that I feel are important, especially as a mom.”
Kelly hopes she can “bring people together” after a “rough couple of years” with her new show.
She said: “I want to focus a lot on togetherness and bringing people back together again. I feel like it’s been a really rough couple of years, regardless of what you believe and whatever side you’re on … I think a lot of times, females especially, feel threatened. Instead of feeling threatened, why don’t you just be confident in your skin and your talent, and just join us? I’m trying my best to reach everyone.”
And Kelly is learning how to “listen” ahead of the launch.
She shared: “I do need to learn, and I have literally been watching, like, I’ve seen your show, tons of it, but I watch all your episodes and Oprah’s and everyone’s because I’m like, ‘How do I listen?’ Cause I was not good at listening … “I literally had Alex [Duda], who’s producing the show, I literally had her … draw an airplane on a big giant card and, like, ‘Land it.’ ‘Cause I don’t shut up.”

Kim Kardashian West will have ‘zen’ baby shower

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West wants a “zen-like CBD-themed” baby shower.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star – who is expecting her fourth child via a surrogate – is keen to take it easy with her pre-baby celebrations this year.
She said: “This year, because I am freaking out so much, I just want a zen-like CBD-themed baby shower. I just want massages, I want to do like a tea ceremony with crystals and we’re going to have a drink at this baby shower – we’re not pregnant. This is the massages for all, like just meditation, calm before the storm baby shower.”
And after welcoming Chicago into the world, also via a surrogate, 14 months ago, she felt the baby shower was a good way of introducing the other kids to their new brother or sister.
She added to E! News: “When you have a surrogate, for me, I realised that having a baby shower for Chi was actually so much more beneficial for my kids, because they saw people come. They actually saw that it was like, ‘A new baby is coming.’ They got so excited for Chi to come that way, seeing that everyone was coming to celebrate the baby, so I’m actually really doing it for them.”
Meanwhile, Kim’s second experience with surrogacy has been “different” from her first.
She said: “It’s a different experience for sure, this situation is different. I love my surrogate, we have a really good relationship. I really trust her and I definitely see, like, the first time that I went through it, I was a little bit more anxious, and texting more and calling more, and I feel like my surrogate this time around, really is such a protecting person and I really trust that in her.”
