Zoe Kravitz intimidated by wedding plans

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Kravitz is finding wedding planning “intimidating”.
The ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ actress got engaged to Karl Glusman last February and though she’s excited about arranging their big day, it’s a little bit overwhelming.
Asked about her wedding plans, she said: “I’m planning, slowly but surely.
“It’s a little intimidating, but I’m excited. And I’m just starting to put everything together. So…wish me luck!”
Zoe turned 30 last month and had a “really mellow” celebration with her family and friends that reminded her just how “lucky” she is.
She said: “I kept my birthday really mellow. It was a simple dinner, but I had so many people and friends and family that I love with me.
“It was this beautiful reflection of the last 10 or so years of my life and a great validation of being on the right path. I looked around at these amazing people I have in my life and thought, ‘How lucky am I?’ It was a beautiful send-off into this new phase.”
The ‘Big Little Lies’ actress thinks this year marks a “fresh start” for her and she’s planning to adopt a new way of working.
She told InStyle.com: “It just feels like a big fresh start — turning 30, getting married, writing on the show, producing. It’s like everything’s a level deeper than it used to be.
“[I want to be] doing less things, but doing them better. Instead of doing a bunch of projects, I’d like to develop one project, which takes longer, but feels so much more rewarding, especially when you’re getting something made that probably wouldn’t have been made otherwise.
“That, and then also just really trying to enjoy life and take the time to spend time with people who I love.”
Meanwhile, when she gets a break from work, Zoe loves drinking with her ‘Big Little Lies’ co-stars.
She said: “Reese [Witherspoon] is definitely one of my favourite drinking buddies.
“We have a lot of dinners, a lot of good hangs, and there’s always booze flowing. We like to get silly together. But really, all of my castmates are good drinking buddies. I love sitting down with Reese and Shailene [Woodley] and cracking open a beer.”

Anne Hathaway didn’t want Oscars job

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway initially turned down hosting the Oscars.
The ‘Serenity’ actress and her co-presenter James Franco were widely criticised when they anchored the 2011 Academy Awards and she admitted she only accepted the job after being “convinced” by the ‘Pineapple Express’ star.
She said: “Hey, can I dish some tea? I turned that gig down and James is the one that convinced me to do it.
The 36-year-old actress was slammed for being over-the-top while James, 40, was blasted for his lack of energy while hosting the prestigious event, and Anne admitted she knew she hadn’t got the tone right long before the broadcast went live, but producers had told her she was doing a great job.
Speaking on ‘The Jess Cagle Interview’ on PeopleTV, she said: “[James] didn’t give me anything.
“God, I just remember the night before we’re about to go up there, and me turning to everyone and going, ‘Am I too much? This feels really big to me.’
“And the producer just went, ‘No! Don’t do less. Do more if you need to.’ And I was like, ‘Oh okay, I guess it’s going great.’ And I didn’t realise what was happening about that whole thing.”
The ‘Ocean’s 8’ star – who has two-year-old son Jonathan with husband Adam Shulman – wishes she’d stuck to her instinct not to accept the job because even if she’d been a great host, she still wouldn’t have received credit for it.
She said: “When all the dust settled, I was just like, ‘You gotta be kidding me. Your first instinct is usually the right one.’
“And all the reasons why I turned it down came true. All of them. It’s just a no-win situation. You’re not trained at this, how is this going to enhance your life? All of the reasons why.
“Even the people who do it spectacularly well — like Hugh Jackman, Jimmy Kimmel, Ellen DeGeneres — usually just get a ‘meh’ from everyone. It’s a really hard gig to stick the landing on.”

‘Loud’ Elsa Pataky embarrasses Chris Hemsworth

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hemsworth gets “really embarrassed” when Elsa Pataky tells their children off in public.
The Spanish actress – who has daughter India, six, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, four, with the ‘Thor’ star – admitted she can be “loud” so her remonstrations can attract a lot of attention when they’re out in Australia.
She told Women’s Health magazine: “Everybody here, when they tell off their kids, they’re like [whispering] but we are totally opposite.
“We are loud and sometimes Chris gets really embarrassed. He’s like, ‘Stop it, everyone’s looking at us.’ ”
The ‘Fast and The Furious’ star believes Hollywood has changed and is now more welcoming towards actors with international accents, citing Israeli actress Gal Gadot as a good example.
She said: “I feel like when I got to LA nobody would hire you unless you were playing the Spanish character. Now, it’s getting so much better.
“Like Wonder Woman, she has an accent – she’s Israeli – and that’s amazing. (Gal) is a friend of mine and I was like ‘It wouldn’t have been possible years ago’. And now people are more interested in female characters, no matter what your age.”
While Elsa hates “extreme” diets, she sometimes ends up fasting – but doesn’t realise it as it’s just because she’s so busy.
She said: “I hate extremes in everything, so I always love to kind of be in the middle. I learned a lot about macrobiotics, but I need other things, also. You have to find what your body craves and what is good for it…For a while everyone was like ‘no carbs’ which I think is a big mistake…
“Because of the kids and the run in the morning, you end up not eating anything – you have to get their stuff and their clothes and everything. Chris is like, ‘You’re fasting’ and I’m like, ‘I’m not,’ and then I realise at 12pm, ‘Whoa, I haven’t eaten anything!’ ”
The full interview appears in the March issue of Women’s Health, which goes on sale February 5.

Sarah Lancashire to star in Jack Thorne’s new series The Light

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Lancashire will star in Jack Thorne’s new series ‘The Light’.
The 54-year-old actress – who previously appeared in the 40-year-old screenwriter’s drama ‘Kiri’, which aired last year – has signed up to be the lead character of his new four-part Channel 4 series, in which she will play the wife of a local politician who is trying to bring together a shattered community.
Sarah – who will play Polly in the upcoming show – said: “This is the most wonderful opportunity to work with Channel 4, ‘The Forge’, and Jack Thorne’s masterly writing once again.
“‘The Light’ is a fiercely powerful piece; shocking and emotive and I feel extremely privileged to be a part of it.”
Jack – who has also penned BAFTA winner ‘National Treasure’ – is eager to work with Sarah again following their previous success.
He said: “I’m so excited to be working with Sarah again. I always try and resist writing for specific actors, for fear of heartbreak, but I couldn’t keep Sarah out of my thoughts as I wrote this and I’m so delighted she was prepared to work with us again.
“She makes the worst lines sound good, and the slightly better lines sound amazing, and everything.”
The new tell the story of a forgotten community who have hopes of a better future; regeneration, and much needed employment due to a large construction project . But an explosion, followed by a catastrophic collapse, leaves many dead, children included, and the community devastated.
The story centres on Polly and their daughter Leona, who now has a lifelong disability following the disaster.
As the show progresses, Polly is forced to hold the community together as anger and blame begins to brew.

BBC boss defends new EastEnders’ set costs

OHMYGOSSIP — The BBC boss has defended the spiralling cost of the new ‘EastEnders’ set – insisting the current one is a risk to crew and cast members.
BBC Director General Lord Hall claims people on the Albert Square set need to be “moved” when there are “winds or rains” for fear of falling debris from the buildings, and he believes the BBC One soap’s editorial ambition will be “even greater than it is now” when the work is completed.
Speaking to defend the costs – which are expected to go over budget by £27 million – he told a parliamentary committee: “When there are winds or rains you have to move the people shooting stuff as things might fall off.
“‘EastEnders’ is the heart of the BBC schedule and it’s important we get it right. It’s delivering a reach of nine million people a week and it’s a really important part of the schedules.
“Once we finish this project, the editorial ambition of ‘EastEnders’ can be even greater than it is now.”
According to a recent National Audit Office (NAO) report, the BBC set a £59.7 million budget for the project in October 2015, but this was then revised to £86.7 million – a £27 million increase – which was approved in May 2018.
There has also been a 31-month delay in the BBC completing the programme compared to its initial October 2015 plans, from October 2020 to May 2023.
The NAO claimed there have been “insufficient construction project management expertise”, among other issues, and that the construction, known as the E20 project, will not deliver “value for money”.
The report states: “The BBC built the external filming set for EastEnders (including ‘Albert Square’) in 1984, and originally planned to use it for two years.
“It has lasted for 34 years but is no longer fit for purpose.
“There are, for example, filming delays and maintenance costs as a result of stoppages in production due to health and safety concerns.
“The BBC will not be able to deliver value for money on the E20 programme in the way that it envisaged in 2015.
“Disappointingly, some of the reasons for this were built into E20 at the outset and could have been addressed earlier.
“These include insufficient construction project management expertise that contributed to a lack of appropriate technical challenge, inadequate integration between the programme team and end users, and early planning processes that led to underestimation of aspects of complexity, cost and risks of its revised approach.
“The programme costs have also been adversely impacted by inflation in the construction industry across the UK, which has had a greater impact than it would have done had the programme completed without any delays.
“E20 has been subject to ongoing scrutiny and reporting and, in the past 18 months, the BBC has made many improvements to the programme and various elements of E20 have been completed.
“Furthermore, the benefits of the programme still appear to be broadly achievable, albeit at a later date.”
But the BBC recently said in a statement: “The show remains one of the BBC’s flagship programmes and yet is filming from a set that is no longer fit for purpose.
“The new set will be suitable for HD filming for the first time and extend Walford to better reflect modern East End London.
“It’s a large, complex project which has already delivered many other vital improvements at BBC Elstree Centre but like any building work of this scale there have been challenges on the way, including construction market issues beyond our control and from working on a brownfield site.
“As the NAO recognises we’ve already made improvements and are keeping the project under close scrutiny.”

Robbie Williams wants to release LP of The Boy In The Dress songs

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams wants to release a full LP of songs from ‘The Boy In The Dress’.
The ‘Let Me Entertain You’ hitmaker wants to capitalise on the success of ‘The Greatest Showman’ by releasing a full album of the songs he has penned with long time songwriting partner Guy Chambers for the stage adaptation of David Walliams’ children’s novel, ‘The Boy In The Dress’.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Robbie and Guy are really pleased with the tracks that they have come up with and as well as telling the story on stage they think they are great songs in their own right. ‘The Boy In The Dress’ music is definitely getting released as a full LP and the huge popularity of ‘The Greatest Showman’ has not been missed by either of them. They both think the songs stand up on their own.”
Meanwhile, Robbie is reportedly keen to duet with ‘The Greatest Showman’ star Hugh Jackman on his next album for a third instalment of his swing LP series.
A source said: “Robbie has the wheels in motions to plot out another swing album. The tie in with Las Vegas is obvious, especially given his favourite crooners such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin enjoyed mammoth success there. If he gets this right, it really could be the beginning of him cracking the US market after so long. The idea of Hugh and Robbie on stage together would be dynamite.
“A duet with Sacha Baron Cohen on a funny number would be amazing and a tune with a Vegas great like Tony Bennett could be enormous. It is exciting times as he formulates ideas and track listings for the album.”

Blink-182’s new LP to ‘go off in completely weird directions’

OHMYGOSSIP — Blink-182’s new album will “go off in completely weird directions”.
The group’s bassist Mark Hoppus and the band are currently working on their follow up to 2016’s ‘California’ and he has promised it will still have elements of their “foundations” but will also have new exciting elements too.
He said: “After playing in this band for 27 years, I want to push it and do different things and take blink to places where we haven’t been before. We’re really trying to do that on the new record. We want to do with our band what we did in 2003 with ‘Blink-182′, where we take our foundations and go off in completely weird directions.”
And the 46-year-old musician – who plays in the band alongside drummer Travis Barker and guitarist and vocalist Matt Skiba – says the band is “everybody’s priority” despite them having their own “outside interests”.
He added to Kerrang! magazine: “That’s the thing, our main bands are our main focus and will always be. We all have our outside interests and our outside things, but we’re pretty straightforward with one another; blink really is everybody’s priority and that’s understood among all of us.”
Blink-182 had to cancel their autumn tour last year because Travis was not “well enough” to perform.
They wrote in a statement: “It is with a heavy heart to report that blink must cancel its fall mini tour which was set to kick off September 12th on their way to headline Riot Fest in Chicago. Medical issues have sidelined Travis per doctors’ orders. Trav’s medical team anticipated he would be well enough by fall to tour but after recent checkups they were not able to clear him in time for the scheduled run of dates. (sic)”

Rachel Brosnahan fronts Frances Valentine spring campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Brosnahan feels “privileged” to be the face of her aunt Kate Spade’s fashion label Frances Valentine’s Spring campaign.
The 28-year-old actress – who stars as Miriam ‘Midge’ Maisel in the acclaimed Amazon Prime series ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ – is fronting the highly-anticipated spring campaign for Frances Valentine, which her fashion designer aunt, Kate Spade, founded in 2016 before she tragically passed away last year at 55.
However, her niece Rachel has revealed that she was left “overwhelmed” to be in the campaign and to be given the opportunity to “keep her memory alive”.
Speaking to this week’s issue of PEOPLE magazine, Brosnahan said: “In the wake of Kate’s passing, my family and I were so overwhelmed and encouraged by the love and support we received from those who were touched by Kate’s work, many of whom were strangers from around the world.
“When you lose someone you love, you search for boundless ways to keep their memory alive. This felt like a way to do that through her beautiful creations and an opportunity to share them with all of those who her work meant so much to. I feel so privileged to partner with Frances Valentine to showcase their spring collection in celebration of my Aunt Kate’s life, legacy and love of fashion.”
The prestigious fashion designer founded Frances Valentine – which is named after her 13-year-old daughter Frances Beatrix – alongside her husband Andy, 56, and her best friend, Elyce Arons, who confessed that the actress has always been close to the brand and was an obvious choice to front the campaign.
Arons added: “She’s always been very close to Katy, and she’s been a part of the company since the beginning. She said yes to the idea, and here we are!”

Maddie Ziegler says ‘god mom’ Sia likes to ‘dress her up’

OHMYGOSSIP — Maddie Ziegler says her godmother Sia likes to “dress her up”.
The 16-year-old dancer – who has appeared in a number of the ‘Chandelier’ hitmaker’s music videos, on her album covers and more – has revealed that the pair share an incredible mother-daughter “connection”, and the singer even entrusted Ziegler with a special item from her own wardrobe because she likes to put her in “cool clothes”.
Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she said: “She is the best person in my life. She really is. I think she’s my god mom now? So if anything were to happen she would take me, which is really cool. From the day we met, we clicked and we knew it was a special connection.
Opening up about her wardrobe appearance for her appearance, she added: “This is her [Sia’s] bridal dress, like her bridal shower dress. I’m basically like her daughter, and so she’s always wanted to dress up her daughter and put her in different, cool clothes. This [dress] fit like a glove, and she’s like, ‘This is epic.’ And she literally … I’ve never seen her turn into a stage mom like that before. She was like, ‘OK from the side, from the back,’ taking photos.”
The blonde beauty was recruited by Sia to star in her 2014 music video, ‘Chandelier’ because she was obsessed with the show ‘Dance Moms’ – which Ziegler used to feature on – and the star confessed that being in the visuals for her hugely successful track “changed her life forever”.
She added: “When I was eight, she watched the show religiously and then she tweeted me and was like ‘I want you in my music video’ and at the time I didn’t really know who she was, but then we did the video and I didn’t expect the outcome. People didn’t recognise me [from ‘Dance Moms’] but that video changed my life forever and they were like ‘you’re from Chandelier’ and it was really cool.”

Cara Delevingne strips off for Balmain campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara Delevingne is the face of Balmain’s Spring 2019 campaign.
The 26-year-old British model – who opened the Balmain spring 2019 show in Paris last October – has stripped off for the French luxury fashion house’s spring campaign, alongside the brand’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing.
The campaign, which was shot by Berlin-based photographer Dan Beleiu, features simple black and white images of the pair topless with 33-year-old Rousteing’s hands covering her modesty whilst in another photo, Delevingne can be seen reclining naked in front of a large letter B.
Speaking to WWD, Rousteing said: “It references all the iconic album covers of the Nineties, which were big pop culture moments of our childhood. The campaign shows the reunion of two skin tones, one black – or mixed race – and one white. Choosing to pose naked was all about authenticity. We’re going back to basics: I wanted something pure and transparent. I love her so much that I don’t want to see any clothes on her. Her gaze is so strong and magnetic, it’s nearly an item of clothing in itself.”
And for Rousteing, the campaign needed to be “sensual” but not “flirtatious”.
He added: “The campaign images are very sensual, but there is nothing flirtatious about them. Cara has such a strong presence and personality: we chose a pared-back set to let her gaze and the lines of her body do the talking.”
It is not the first time Delevingne has worked with Balmain. In 2014, she posed alongside the likes of Jourdan Dunn, Issa Lish, Kayla Scott, Binx Walton, Jackson Hale and Ysaunny Brito for a campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti.

Lenny and Zoe Kravitz front Tumi’s campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Lenny Kravitz and Zoë Kravitz have co-starred in Tumi’s latest campaign.
The father-daughter duo have collaborated on the international travel and lifestyle brand’s Spring 2019 campaign, which was shot in the Bahamas and directed by Eliot Rausch, and it the first time the ‘Big Little Lies’ actress and the ‘Fly Away’ hitmaker have appeared together on a single project.
In a statement, Zoe said: “To me, this campaign is about connecting with ourselves, our roots and with each other. I loved working with Tumi and the idea of telling a story about travel, family and connecting with one’s roots.
“It was amazing to travel to the other side of the island for my first time to see where my family originated from and to pay respect to our elders and those who came before us – to experience that with my father was monumental.”
The campaign is set to run globally across the brand’s social channels and the 54-year-old chart topper knew he wanted to team up with the brand because he’s used their luggage for as long as he’s “been touring”.
Lenny added: “I’ve been a Tumi customer and admirer of the brand for as long as I’ve been touring. When you’re traveling and living out of a suitcase, your luggage becomes an extension of your home – and yourself for that matter. It’s that one thing that’s always with you: on the plane, on the tour bus, in the hotel room, backstage or on set. So you want it to be reliable, durable and make a statement. For me, Tumi embodies all of those qualities to the fullest.”

Ariana Grande corrects tattoo

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande has had her misspelt tattoo corrected.
The ‘Thank U, Next’ hitmaker accidentally paid tribute to a tiny charcoal grill with the Japanese inking she had etched onto her palm earlier this week, but she’s now had the art amended back to reflect her original intention of commemorating her latest single ‘7 Rings’.
Ariana shared a photo of the amended art and wrote: “slightly better. Thanks to my tutor for helping me and to @kanenavasard for being a legend. And to my doctor for the lidocaine shots (no joke).sic)”
But the 25-year-old star joked she’s missing the old tattoo already.
She added on the Instagram post: “RIP tiny charcoal grill. Miss u man. I actually really liked u.(sic)”
The ‘Sweetener’ hitmaker admitted earlier this week she had made a mistake with the tattoo, which led to the word ‘shrichirin’ being etched on her palm.
However, Ariana suggested she wasn’t planning to have it amended because she claimed she wouldn’t have been able to cope with the pain of having it made longer and wasn’t expecting the design to stay permanently anyway.
Acknowledging the error on her Twitter account, she wrote in a now-deleted message: “Indeed, I left out [some characters] which should have gone in between. It hurt like f**k n still looks tight. I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time (sic)”
And she admitted she liked the unintended message.
She added: “also….huge fan of tiny bbq grills (sic)”

Bethenny Frankel scared to be alone

OHMYGOSSIP — Bethenny Frankel is scared to be alone after suffering a near-fatal allergic reaction last month.
The ‘Real Housewives of New York’ star suffered a terrifying experience last month when she fell unconscious after eating soup, and the incident has changed her “entire life”.
She told TV host Dr. Oz: “It’s crazy. I don’t like to be alone anymore.
“I don’t want to be at restaurants alone, and I’m not that type of person. It’s very scary. It changes your whole entire life.”
The 48-year-old star suffered her reaction after her boyfriend Paul Bernon gave her soup and she remembered thinking she was “dying” when she regained consciousness.
She said: “I felt a little tickle in my throat, something seemed a little off — not crazy at all — less than before in my life. By the time he came back, I was unconscious. He said I was drooling.
“I was unconscious and he managed to get a Benadryl down my throat while calling 911. Then, I guess 15 minutes later, I woke up disoriented.
“There were cops. There were medics, and then I vaguely remember them taking me on a stretcher into the ambulance, but thinking, ‘I’m having a stroke and dying.’ ”
Bethenny previously praised Paul for “saving her life” when she went into anaphylactic shock.
And a source previously said: “It was that serious. Her blood pressure was through the roof and she was unconscious. She went into anaphylactic shock. Her boyfriend friend saved her life.”
The reality star initially revealed the scary incident that had occurred on her Twitter feed.
She posted: “Bethenny’s original Twitter post read: “I have rare fish allergy. Sun,I had soup, itched & was unconscious for 15 mins then to ER & ICU for 2 days w BP of 60/40.I couldn’t talk, see, thought I had a stroke & dying & told if 5 mins later I’d be dead. 911 & EPI saved me.I’ll never not carry an #epipen @newtonwellesley xo (sic)”

Cardi B back with Offset

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B and Offset are back together.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker split from the Migos rapper – with whom she has daughter Kulture, six months – in December but she’s now reportedly planning to return to their marital home in Atlanta for the first time since she accused him of being unfaithful to her.
Sources told TMZ Cardi agreed to take Offset back after he proved his dedication to their relationship, with one of the key factors in the 26-year-old star’s decision being the ‘Motorsport’ hitmaker agreeing to change his phone number.
In order to show Cardi he is serious about honest and faithful, Offset has vowed his new line will only be accessible to his wife and business associates.
The couple have also agreed a ‘no groupies’ rule and as a result, Offset won’t allow any female fans near him when Migos perform their Super Bowl shows over the weekend.
Rumours that the pair had got back together were rife at the end of last month when they were seen holidaying in Puerto Rico.
A source said at the time: “Cardi B wants Offset to be a part of Kulture’s life and wants him to spend Christmas with his daughter. It’s Kulture’s first Christmas and it means a lot to Cardi to have the family together … She plans to spend time and celebrate the holiday [in the Dominican Republic].”
Offset has made a number of public gestures to get Cardi back, with the most recent one when he crashed his estranged wife’s set at Rolling Loud festival in Los Angeles, along with a huge ‘Take Me Back Cardi’ sign made out of white and red roses. Although she rejected his apology, he still thinks it was the right thing to do.
He tweeted recently: “All of my wrongs have been made public, i figure It’s only right that my apologies are made public too. A n***a was just trying …..thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheeesh (sic)”
And Cardi previously shared plans to “reset” in 2019.
She said: “Everything is good! I’m very excited for 2019 – I just feel like it’s going to be a reset. 2018 was the good, bad, and the ugly year, a lot of good, a lot of bad, a lot of ugly all mixed together.”

Ashley Banjo feared Gemma Collins wouldn’t get up from fall

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Banjo didn’t think Gemma Collins would get up after her terrifying ‘Dancing On Ice’ fall.
The controversial contestant took a painful-looking tumble during her routine over last weekend, and the judge admits it was “scary” seeing her face-plant the ice.
Speaking to HuffPost UK, Ashley said: “Me, Jayne [Torvill], Chris [Dean] and Jason [Gardiner] were probably the only people in the country who had the view we had, everybody else had the opposing view with the cameras behind, but we literally saw her face go hurtling towards the ice – so it was quite scary because she was skating at us when it happened!
“I didn’t think she was getting up to be honest, because what you can’t get with a camera is the complete physicality of it.
“There was a real thud and the ice is just so unforgiving – she hit it flat-on. So I really didn’t know if she was going to get up or not. She had my respect when she got up, definitely.”
Gemma, 37, was left bruised and in pain after her fall on Sunday’s (27.01.19) live show, and she has also verbally clashed with judge Jason during her time on the ice.
While Ashley – who added that she has “really put the work in” recently – doesn’t agree with his fellow panellist all the time, he insisted he has to be respected.
He added: “He’s been a part of ‘Dancing On Ice’ for over a decade, so people know exactly what Jason’s like, they know the kind of critique he gives, so I don’t think the celebrities come into it blind.
“They can never say they didn’t sign up for it. But at the same time, he can be really brutally honest.
“If I was a contestant in the show, I would just find the truth, the useful critique in his comments, try to strip away some of the delivery and think ‘OK, that’s what I need to work on’. It’s about taking it with a pinch of salt.”
The former ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ champion – who won the series in 2009 with dance troupe Diversity – also commented on the drama between Jason and Gemma, after the former described accusations he “sold stories” on her as “salacious” and “libellous”.
Ashley said: “It’s always bound to happen when you’ve got big personalities clashing, and then you add in working hard, you add in tiredness.
“All of that breeds emotion and Gemma and Jason went at each other, and we saw Gemma put a lot of work in, then she had the big fall, so she’s on an absolute rollercoaster of a journey in this show.”

Alexandra Cane: ‘Love Island made me love my body again’

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Cane says ‘Love Island’ made love her body again.
The 27-year-old star appeared on last year’s series of the ITV2 dating show and was coupled up with Dr Alex George until he ditched her days before the final, but the make-up artist has praised the programme as a “positive” experience because it gave her back her body-confidence.
Speaking to The Daily Star newspaper, she said: “‘Love Island’ was really positive for me – it actually made me more confident in my own skin. I fell in love with the person I really am. That’s better than finding love for a few months isn’t it?
“Before the show I was so self-conscious about my body. I was bullied, fat shamed and body shamed at school – I was scared to go. I went for a consultation for a nose job at one point.
“Looking back it was ridiculous but at the time it was all-consuming. Now I realise it’s not the be all and end all of what I am about. I’ve learned to be fearless. On that show you are exposed. Everyone has an opinion about you suddenly. You learn to be thick-skinned.”
The brunette beauty also confessed that she doesn’t allow any negativity into her life because she “trusts her own path”.
She added: “When you arrive you need to remember who you are, what you want to achieve and your values in life. I learned to love myself more and find inner confidence as that’s the key to being happy. You have to trust your own path.
“Any negativity I got I ignored, blocked, laughed about with my mates.”
