Emma Stone ‘begged’ Yorgos Lanthimos for role in The Favourite

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Stone “basically begged” Yorgos Lanthimos for her role in ‘The Favourite’.
The 30-year-old actress plays Abigail Masham in the comedy biopic, the penniless cousin of Lady Sarah Churchill, played by Rachel Weisz, who arrives at Hampton Court in 1904 and battle’s her relative to become a confidante of Olivia Colman’s Queen Anne.
The award-winning movie was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Yorgos, who was responsible for the 2015 dystopian thriller ‘The Lobster’, and Emma has revealed the director “never considered” an American actress for the part before meeting the ‘Easy A’ star and she pleaded her case.
In an interview with Vogue, she said: “I was getting ready to do ‘La La Land’, Yorgos was like, ‘I’d never considered meeting an American for the part,’ so I basically begged.”
Emma has nothing but praise for the “crazy and funny and dark” world that Yorgos created with such strong female characters.
She said: “How is it possible that there’s all three of these women in one story? So crazy and funny and dark.”
Emma herself has been praised by Olivia, 45, for her work in the movie and her qualities as a person, saying: “Emma will remain, I hope, a lifelong friend.”
Olivia won the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical Golden Globe for her performance as the British monarch and she is up for the Best Actress Oscar too at the upcoming Academy Awards.
Emma and Rachel are competing against one another for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for their respective roles and Yorgos is up for Best Director.
‘The Favourite’ is up for a total of 10 accolades at the 91st Academy Awards ceremony which takes place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on February 24.

Chris Pratt promises fans a third Guardians of the Galaxy film

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt has assured fans there will be a third installment in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise.
The future of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ has been unclear following director-and-writer James Gunn being fired from the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie by bosses at Disney following the emergence of old Twitter posts he made in which he joked about topics such as rape and child abuse.
Although Gunn has penned a script for the third film a new director is yet to be found, but Pratt – who plays Star-Lord in the movies – has “promised” there will be a new chapter in the superhero sci-fi franchise but he doesn’t know “exactly what that’s going to look like”.
Speaking to Variety, the ‘Jurassic World’ star said: “I promise there’ll be a third movie, I don’t know exactly what that’s going to look like, but I know everyone on board is just eager to give the fans what they want and wrap up a trilogy in a meaningful way.”
Last year, Adam McKay confirmed that he was in talks with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about the possibility of helming the movie but didn’t say whether he will take on the role or not.
‘Vice’ filmmaker McKay previously said: “We’ve talked a little bit. Yeah. We were kicking around the idea of the Inhumans at one point. We’re always kind of talking. I think Feige is just the greatest and I think what they’re doing is amazing.”
Although Gunn, 52, won’t be working on ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ again he has been in talks to direct DC Comics’ upcoming ‘Suicide Squad’ sequel after it was previously revealed he was writing the script for the flick.
The movie is also said to have been given the title, ‘The Suicide Squad’, and it looks likely to be a reboot of sorts, rather than a direct sequel.
Warner Bros. have penned the film in for an August 2021 release.

Jade Goody’s mother Jackiey Budden says grief ‘never goes away’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jade Goody’s mother Jackiey Budden says her grief “never goes away” even 10 years after her daughter’s death.
‘Big Brother’ legend Jade passed away in 2009 at the age of just 27 months after being diagnosed with cervical cancer and Jackiey, 60, has confessed she finds it hard to come to terms with her passing and she is still haunted by how Jade looked in her final days before the illness took her life.
Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ‘This Morning’ on Monday (04.02.19), she said: “People say it gets easier or it never gets easier, or is it hard, but it’s the same ever. The hardest thing is it don’t go away and obviously, because she’s very well known, it still don’t go away.
“Everyone praises me because of the legacy, but what I can’t get around is I was the one who, when she passed, I was the one who bathed her, washed her, and I get that flashback all the time.
“It’s not a thing you do – you know, you don’t bury your daughter or you son. To watch her disintegrate was the worst, as much as I miss her, I’m so glad she’s out of pain. That’s what I pray for every time.”
Jade is survived by her two sons, Bobby, 15 and 14-year-old Freddie, who are both now raised by their dad Jeff Brazier, who was in a relationship with the TV personality from 2002 and 2004.
Jackiey revealed that although the two boys are doing well they still have moments where they grieve for their late mum.
She shared: “They’re doing so, so well yeah. Fred, the youngest one, he still grieves and then Bob, he’s 15 now. He’s the spitting image of her, I see them and they’re doing really well. Bobby just stays in his pit like his mother and Freddie is just a funny, cheeky boy but they’re doing so well.
“The boys are grand, I see them. They are doing really well … Jeff [Brazier] is grand, he’s a good dad.”
Jackiey also took the opportunity on TV to thank Jade’s fans for their continued support and love for her girl.
She said: “I get about 16 Mother’s Day cards and gifts each year, and every year the Bolton Family do me a calendar of photos – so thank you, they really do look after me.”

Cardi B fears dressing her daughter in designer clothes

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B is reluctant to dress her baby daughter in designer clothes because she worries she might “crap” on them.
The 26-year-old rapper – who has six-month-old daughter Kulture with fellow hip-hop star Offset – has revealed there’s a very practical reason as to why her daughter doesn’t always wear expensive clothing.
She explained to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “You wanna know something funny? You buy so many clothes for babies and then the couture stuff and the expensive name brand stuff, you put it on her and then it’s like right away she throws up, she drools, or she might crap on it and she’ll end up being in a Target outfit, like a Target onesie.
“My best pictures and videos and pictures of her, she’s like in damn pyjamas.”
Meanwhile, Cardi recently revealed that she and Offset are working on their marriage.
The high-profile duo separated last year after Cardi accused the Migos rapper of being unfaithful, but she said they are trying to work things out for the sake of their baby daughter.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker explained: “We’re just taking things slow. We have a baby right now. That’s like our real big focus.
“I hang out with him, I talk to him every day and we do our thing. It’s just like – to make things perfect … it takes time. You know, f**king and hanging out doesn’t mean that you guys are on like a perfect note, it takes time. It takes time. And it’s a marriage and there’s a child involved and family involved.”
Cardi also revealed she can’t understand why people care about their relationship.
She said: “I feel like we just really are a very regular couple. We just do regular things.
“I just feel like: We’re famous … we’re really popular right now – I just don’t know the obsession, like I feel like everything we do is a big deal.”

Kylie Minogue calls police ‘after being left shaken by stalker’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue called police after being left “very shaken” by an alleged stalker.
The 50-year-old singer was said to be “quite upset” after a guy reportedly rang her doorbell “repeatedly” and “refused to leave” her home in Chelsea, west London, so she rang the officials to complain about the mystery man, who was issued with a first-instance harassment warning by police but was not arrested.
A neighbour told The Sun newspaper: “It came to a head when the man repeatedly pressed the intercom button to her home for hours on end last week and refused to leave.
“Kylie was quite upset and called in police. They spoke to Kylie, and also the suspect in the street for quite a while.”
The Met Police said: “Both parties were spoken to and the matter was dealt with by the man being issued with a first-instance harassment warning.”
The neighbour also claimed the guy appeared to have launched a “sustained campaign” against Kylie, who is dating GQ magazine creative director Paul Solomons.
Another resident said they told the ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ hitmaker about a guy who was going “door-to-door asking where Kylie lived”.
They said: “A weirdo guy was lurking around. He went door to door asking people where Kylie lived.
“I don’t think anybody alerted the police but we gave her a heads-up because it wasn’t normal behaviour.”
As a result, Kylie has now beefed up security around her London pad.
A source close to her told The Sun newspaper: “Obviously she was very shaken by what has happened, as anyone would be, but she has taken the sensible steps.
“She has always had security arrangements and people who she trusts nearby especially for when she goes out, but she will of course be looking at other options.”
This comes after Kylie alerted police in 2012 when a “deluded weirdo” inundated her with messages on Twitter.
She tweeted at the time: “I love 1,033,861 of you LOVERS, but 1 is not a lover, just a deluded weirdo making threat #andthatdoesnotmakeyouspecial SO.. police alerted (sic).”
Kylie was also forced to call the police in 2003 when more than 700 letters were sent to her home and London offices.
But her management later said the notes “were of an annoying nature” rather than dangerous.
And in 2010, Kylie was one of a number of stars, which included her sister Dannii Minogue and Jennifer Aniston, targeted by a former postman, who sent lewd fan mail.

Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley releases video of alleged attack

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley has shared footage of her estranged husband Roger Mathews allegedly attacking her.
The ‘Jersey Shore’ star posted a shocking clip on her website which featured a man, who appeared to be the businessman, pushing a woman, who is believed to be her, to the ground in the kitchen of a house.
The pair then argued briefly before going their separate ways.
The 32-year-old reality star also included clips of herself and Roger arguing in front of their two-year-old son Greyson and screen grabs of text messages between herself and her nanny, in which they discussed her estranged husband.
Jenni also broke her silence over the split, slamming Roger – with whom she also has four-year-old daughter Meilani – for trying to “disgrace [her] name” and misrepresenting himself in a positive silence.
She wrote in a statement: “I have spent the last few months trying to protect our children from public humiliation, because as parents, WE ARE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THEM.
“I wanted to handle this out of the spotlight because our silence is their greater good. Even when you tried to disgrace my name, make false accusations and even point-blank lie… I still remained silent as challenging as it was… why? Because, greater good.
“I can no longer sit idly by while you mistreat and malign me in such an egregious manner.
“You have presented yourself to the public as a praiseworthy father and a husband who has been suffering by my alleged actions and behaviour.
“Your postings are consumed with inaccuracies, false statements, self-serving comments, outright misrepresentations and blatant lies.”
She then slammed her estranged spouse – – who she obtained a restraining order against in December – for allegedly giving Greyson, who is allergic to gluten and dairy, pizza, and his response when she confronted him about it.
She wrote: “When I asked you about the food situation, you chose to berate me instead of acknowledging that Greyson’s health is of paramount concern.
“You hurt the children and you hurt me. When will it end?”
The accusations didn’t stop there because JWoww accused her former partner of teaming up with her ex-boyfriend Thomas Lippolis – who police confirmed was arrested in December and charged with third-degree extortion – to try and get money from her.
She fumed: “It is unfathomable to me that because of you proactively contacting an ex-boyfriend of mine to team up against me, he was arrested for trying to extort money from me.
“You didn’t stop there though. You persisted to try to take me down. You knew that another ex from my college years brutally beat me so badly that I was hospitalised.
“He was incarcerated for the violent acts against me.
“When your own acts of domestic violence against me were questioned, you chose to reach out to this unspeakable person in order to intimidate me.”
Jenni claimed Lippolis had attempted to extort $25,000 from her “in exchange for not divulging secrets to the media” and also included a copy of a 2008 protection order against another former boyfriend, whose name was blacked out in the documents.
She went on to accuse Roger of intending to blackmail her with a video after she filed for the restraining order.
Despite the alleged incidents, the brunette beauty maintained she did her best to stay positive for the sake of their children.
She wrote: “I clearly thought of us co-parenting well into the future as responsible parents should.”
Jenni – who filed for divorce last September after three years of marriage – ended her lengthy statement with a message for domestic violence survivors.
She said: “So many of you may be understandably afraid to come forward, and have been stuck in abusive relationships for far too long just as I have been. If anyone is feeling down, broken, hurt or lost, please know that it is not your fault!”

Dick Miller dies aged 90

OHMYGOSSIP — Dick Miller has died.
The 90-year-old actor – who was best known for his portrayal of Murray Futterman in 1984 classic horror ‘Gremlins’ – passed away due to natural causes on Wednesday (30.01.19), just a month after celebrating his milestone birthday with a party.
A family spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter that his wife Lainie, daughter Barbara and granddaughter Autumn were by his side when he died.
His loved ones said in a statement: “His sense of humor and the unique way he looked at the world won him many lifelong friends and worldwide fans.”
The ‘A Bucket of Blood’ star’s career spanned over 60 years, and he had over 175 movie credits and 2,000 TV appearances to his name.
Director Joe Dante – who used Dick in almost every project he worked on, including the ‘Gremlins’ films – hailed his friend as one of his “most treasured collaborators”.
He wrote on Twitter: “I’m devastated to report that one of my best friends and most treasured collaborators has passed away. I “grew up” (kinda) watching Dick Miller in movies from the 50s on and was thrilled to have him in my first movie for @RogerCorman..
“We hit it off and every script thereafter I always looked for a role for Dick–not just because he was my friend but because I loved watching him act! But he leaves behind over 100 performances, a bio & a doc–not bad for a guy who hardly ever enjoyed a starring role.(sic)”
‘Baby Driver’ filmmaker Edgar Wright also paid tribute to the ‘Terminator’ star, describing him as the “king of character actors”.
He tweeted: “RIP Dick Miller, surely the king of character actors. A friendly, funny face in Gremlins (1&2), Piranha, the original Little Shop Of Horrors, Not Of This Earth, After Hours & my personal beatnik fav, Walter Paisley in ‘A Bucket Of Blood’. Any role of his was cult movie nirvana.”

Cheryl thinks Oti Mabuse is competitive

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl thinks Oti Mabuse is “way too competitive”.
The ‘Love Made Me Do It’ singer “loves” her fellow ‘Greatest Dancer’ judge but claims the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional has been “stealing acts” from her and fellow panellist Matthew Morrison because she’s so determined to win.
She said: “I love Oti. But she is way more competitive than me.
“She was the one stealing acts off of the table and hiding them from us.
“The thing is, she is so cute she gets away with it.
“Me and Mathew loved more of the same people and fought it out more to be honest.”
Cheryl – who has 22-month-old son Bear with ex-boyfriend Liam Payne – has been very impressed by the talent on ‘The Greatest Dancer’ and would happily use some of the acts in her own concerts and music videos – even those who haven’t made it through to the live stages of the competition.
She told The Sun Online: “I would use so many of the people we have seen in my performances, shows and videos, definitely,
“And not just the ones that made it to the live stages but also people who didn’t. There are so many talented people we’ve seen that have a lot to offer.”
And the 35-year-old singer – who shot to fame when she competed on ‘Popstars: The Rivals’ and landed a place in Girls Aloud – also shared the tips she’s been passing on to the acts she mentors in the competition.
She said: “How you feel shows in your eyes and expressions. So if you are unsure of your performance others will feel it.
“You have to be comfortable in what you’re doing and dance like no one is watching. The last bit sounds cliche but it’s so true!”

Ben Affleck steps down as Batman

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck is stepping down as Batman.
The 46-year-old actor portrayed the Caped Crusader and his alter ego Bruce Wayne in 2016’s ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and 2017’s ‘Justice League’ but has confirmed he won’t be involved in Matt Reeves’ June 2021 standalone movie ‘The Batman’, which will focus on a younger version of the comic book legend.
Ben tweeted: “Excited for #TheBatman in Summer 2021 and to see @MattReevesLA vision come to life.”
Ben had initially been attached to both star in and direct ‘The Batman’, but opted to step down from his role behind the camera in 2017.
However, he insisted at the time that giving up directing didn’t mean he wouldn’t be playing the character either.
He previously said: “Let me be clear. I’m the luckiest guy. Batman is the coolest f**king part in any universe, DC, Marvel.
“I am so thrilled to do it. I know there’s this misconception that because I’m not directing it, that maybe I wasn’t enthusiastic about it. It’s f**king amazing! I still can’t believe it after two films.
“Kevin Tsujihara, Sue Kroll and Toby Emmerich said to me, ‘We want you to be our Batman.”
And at the time, the ‘Argo’ filmmaker vowed to do anything for his replacement director.
He added: “Matt Reeves, doing it, I would be an ape on the ground for Matt Reeves, never mind be Batman. It’s incredible! I’m really blown away and excited. It’s a great time in the DC universe… and you can see why I am so excited to play Batman.”
Meanwhile, Matt recently insisted his take on the franchise wouldn’t be an origin tale.
He said: “Obviously, we’re not doing an origin tale or anything like that. We’re doing a story that is definitively Batman though, and trying to tell a story that’s emotional and yet is really about him being the world’s greatest detective and all the things that, for me, since I was a kid, made me love Batman.”
Henry Cavill, meanwhile, has also been rumored to be leaving Superman behind — but Jason Momoa told ET that’s definitely not the case. See more in the video below.

James Gunn in talks to helm Suicide Squad sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn is in talks to direct the ‘Suicide Squad’ sequel.
The 52-year-old filmmaker – who was fired from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ by Disney over controversial past tweets – looks set to helm the upcoming motion picture, after it was previously revealed he is writing the script.
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Gunn plans to take the film in a new direction with a new cast of characters.
The movie is also said to have been given the title, ‘The Suicide Squad’, and it looks likely to be a reboot of sorts, rather than a direct sequel.
Warner Bros. have penned the film in for an August 2021 release.
The original motion picture featured characters such as Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), and the Joker (Jared Leto), who began working government service in exchange for lighter prison sentences.
This news comes just weeks after Marvel boss Kevin Feige backed Gunn to be a success for DC.
He said: “I went to see ‘Aquaman’ last night, and I really, really enjoyed it.
“I don’t see a rivalry, I just see cool films being made. One thing you know about James Gunn, he makes cool films.”
Feige also gave an update on the future of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’, which he previously announced had been put “on hold” last year after Gunn’s exit.
He added: “‘Guardians’ will happen. When, where, how? For a later time.”
Gunn has received plenty of support in the wake of his axing, including from Dave Bautista, who has repeatedly insisted he wouldn’t want to return to the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ film series if Gunn’s script wasn’t used for the upcoming sequel.
He said: “James is one of the kindest, most decent people I’ve met. He’s already turned the script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ and where I’m at right now is that if [Marvel] don’t use that script then I’m going to ask them to release me from my contract – cut me out or recast me because I’d be doing James a disservice if I didn’t.”

Alexandra Burke loses record deal

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Burke has been dropped by her record label for the third time.
The ‘Bad Boys’ hitmaker had a one-album deal with Decca, but they would have extended the contract if her LP ‘The Truth Is’ – which reached number 16 when it was released last year – had proven to be more popular.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Alexandra signed to Decca on a one-album deal and they released her collection last year. If it had been a massive success, their relationship obviously would have continued but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
“The relationship has now come to an end after Decca decided not to proceed, so she is no longer signed.”
The 30-year-old singer – who is currently touring with musical ‘The Bodyguard’ – is now planning to focus on her stage career rather than making another bid for chart success.
The insider added: “She is just focusing on musical theatre rather than reviving her career as a solo artist.”
Alexandra shot to fame after winning ‘The X Factor’ in 2008, and landed a deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco label, but after topping the charts with her album ‘Overcome’, she then moved to another Sony label, RCA Records, for her second LP.
‘Heartbreak on Hold’ was released in 2012 but only reached number 18, so she then signed to Decca in December 2017 ahead of her third release.
No longer focusing on her music career may mean Alexandra has the time to start planning her wedding to Joshua Ginnelly as she recently claimed she’s been “too busy” to do so.
She said: She said: “I always did say it wouldn’t happen in 2019 because I knew I wanted to work and there’s a lot more that I want to do before I get married.
“It’s about enjoying this moment in life – we want to travel a little bit more before settling down. And there’s no time to plan anything! I’m not handing over my life to a wedding planner as I want to be a part of it all and make sure that Josh and I are happy with everything.
“If you’re only going to do it once you may as well make it as perfect as you can.”

Richard Linnell leaves Hollyoaks

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Linnell has left ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 21-year-old actor’s character Alfie Nightingale departed the village on last night’s (30.01.19) E4 episode to head to the US for an internship, and Richard admitted his three-year stint on the Channel 4 soap has been “far better” than he ever imagined.
He said: “I’m just so thankful. It’s been the best three years I could have asked for – far better than I had any right to expect when I joined the show. I met some amazing people there, who felt like a real-life family. I’ve also been given some incredible storylines to portray.
“There isn’t a single bad cast member at ‘Hollyoaks’. Every single person in that building – from the cast to the crew – are people that I’ll miss deeply. I’m very grateful for the experience that I had.”
Richard is pleased Alfie had a “happy ending” on ‘Hollyoaks’, and he already has some ideas about a potential comeback storyline, which could see his alter-ego return from the States with a girlfriend who is related to someone in the village.
He added to Digital Spy: “America isn’t that far away and we’ve seen characters come back before. Alfie could come back with a weird accent!
“It could also be a great vehicle to bring in a new character. Maybe they could bring in Alfie’s new girlfriend and she’d turn out to be related to someone in the village. It’s not in my hands, though!”
Last year, Richard admitted it was “really exhausting” acting out Alfie’s schizoaffective disorder for “hours on end”.
He said: “It was probably the most physical thing I’ve done on the show.
“The anxiety and paranoia which comes with schizoaffective disorder, tightness of breath, hunching of shoulders, changes in speech pattern and breathing, tensing up your body – doing that for hours on end was really exhausting.
“As an actor I have to physicalise the thought processes described in the script, which is the key to selling it as truthful to the audience. You almost have to make your body reverse-engineer those feelings – so if you make yourself cry you’ll feel sad, and if you tense up your body you’ll feel tense and anxious which helps the performance.”

Amanda Burton joins Marcella

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Burton has joined the cast of ‘Marcella’.
The ex-‘Peak Practice’ actress will team up with her fellow former ‘Brookside’ star Anna Friel in the psychological detective show’s third series, and filming is due to start “shortly”.
A TV source told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: “Bosses are chuffed to have signed Amanda for the new series.
“They start filming together in Northern Ireland shortly, and Amanda has been excitedly telling pals how much she’s looking forward to the series and working with Anna.”
Amanda, 62, played Heather Black in the axed Channel 4 soap, but she departed the close in 1986, seven years before Anna made her debut as Beth Jordache.
Anna stars as the titular detective Marcella Backland in the ITV drama series, for which she scooped an Emmy Award for Best Actress in 2017.
In February 2018, the 42-year-old star revealed she had been left battling “exhaustion and anxiety” after filming ‘Marcella’.
She said: “I wish I could say that it doesn’t leave its mark, but it does.
“I’m know I’m so lucky to play this role and I’m definitely not complaining.
“It’s a tough one because you have to let your mind and body go to where Marcella is.
“The anxiety and exhaustion you feel at the end of the day is real.
“If a wonderful romcom, a musical or something uplifting would be offered to me, I would happily accept.”
Anna previously claimed her career opportunities have been narrowed by her unwillingness to leave England, insisting she had “sacrificed” a career in Hollywood to be the best mum she could be to her 13-year-old daughter Gracie, who she has with ex-boyfriend David Thewlis.
She said: “I just love being a mum. My agents would love me to go back there [to America] but you choose a career in America or you take your child away from their father.

Lil Wayne sues former lawyer

OHMYGOSSIP — Lil Wayne is suing his former lawyer for over $20 million.
The 36-year-old rapper has filed a lawsuit against Ronald Sweeney – who represented him from 2005 until September last year – because he was being charged a 10 percent fee for every deal he helped close, and he claims he was never told by his legal representative that the industry standard is the considerably lower five percent.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Sweeney also proposed he received an additional 10 percent of all profits from Wayne’s Young Money label, but the ‘Lollipop’ hitmaker rejected the request.
However, he claims Sweeney also hired another law firm to assist with his dispute with Cash Money over his ‘Carter V’ deal, with the other company also taking 23 percent of the Cash Money settlement and 15 percent of the Universal Music Group settlement, on top of his regular lawyer’s inflated commission.
Wayne is seeking the $20 million he claims the lawyer unfairly made over the years in commission.
Last year, the ‘Sucker For Pain’ singer received a hefty pay off of “well over $10 million” as a settlement of his legal battle against Birdman, Cash Money Records and Universal Music Group.
The rapper had filed a lawsuit demanding Cash Money pay him a reported $51 million in 2015, claiming CEO Birdman, owed him millions of dollars for his album ‘Tha Carter V’.
Sources claimed when the suit was settled that Universal wrote the eight-figure cheque, and that they were happy to doing so as Cash Money imprint, record label Young Money, make millions thanks to a roster of major clients such as Drake and Nicki Minaj.
Wayne was reportedly due to receive $8 million in advance of recording the album, which he started in December 2013, and then a further $2 million when he finished the record a year later, which he has now received.
