Gigi Hadid’s natural Reebok deisgns

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid’s Reebok designs came “naturally” to her.
The 23-year-old model has teamed up with the sportswear giant to create a limited edition collection of cropped jackets, track pants, and sports bras, which all feature a 1980s-inspired colour scheme, and the blonde beauty was keen for the athleisure range to be comfortable but “fashionable”.
Speaking to Harpers Bazaar Australia about her collaboration, Gigi said: “Everyone knows if there’s one style that comes naturally to me it’s athleisure, and that really came through in designing.
“It was important to me that you can look great in the pieces, but that they were really made to work out in, to sweat in–so you can look cute but you can go to the gym and work out in them correctly.
“It’s like with this ‘dad shoe’ trend: you can spend $1000 on a pair of sneakers that aren’t healthy for your foot to go to the gym in. So with the Aztreks, for example, I wanted to create a shoe that will support your foot but also be fashionable.”
The ‘Reebok x Gigi Hadid’ collection was released on Tuesday (05.02.19) morning and Gigi designing the range and having some important faces from her past there to help launch it was a dream come true.
She wrote: “Designing my first athleisure collection for @Reebok @ReebokClassics was everything I’d hoped. Growing up, sports played such a big part in my life, and many of the lessons I learned as an athlete have been true guides for me in my personal and professional life.
“Today, two of my high school volleyball coaches have come across the country to NYC to help me launch this first #REEBOKxGIGI collection with a day on the court.
“This amazing collision of worlds is the epitome of what this collection means to me and I really hope you love wearing it in and out of the gym. It’s made for play !!!!!!!!!!!! With love. xG (Full collection available tomorrow 2/5 online reebok.co/gigi_collection and in select stores worldwide) (sic)”

Asked about the possibility of rebooting ‘Dawson’s Creek’ – which also starred the likes of James Van Der Beek and Katie Holmes – Michelle said: “I’m like ‘Why not?’ Although, my character died, so I would have to be a ghost.”
The popular teen drama ran from 1998 to 2003, and helped to launch Michelle’s career in Hollywood.
Katie, 40, has also previously expressed an interest in reviving ‘Dawson’s Creek’, although she admitted there hasn’t every been “any serious discussions” about the possibility.

Asked about a potential reboot, Kevin explained: “What would we do?
“One of the reasons we did the finale five years in the future was to put a button on it. What would a reunion be? What would that look like? Why would you? I don’t see it and I don’t feel it.
“The finale was such a beautiful moment in time and the show was always meant to be a nostalgia piece. Let it stay there and live in its nostalgia and its nostalgic universe.”

Recalling the traumatic experience, she shared: “I woke up the next day in a pool of blood. I didn’t know what had gone on, but my breast had burst open in the middle of the night and I had to get rushed to hospital.
“They put me back down into theatre and when they took the implant out they found a blood clot and basically I started to bleed to death.”
Danielle lost six pints of blood due to her botched boob job and she was forced to have a “major transfusion” in order to keep her alive.
She explained: “I lost six pints of blood and you’ve only got six in your body so I had to have a major transfusion. I didn’t know all this because I was under anaesthetic, but when I came back round I was terrified.”

And the model is now determined to encourage women who share her insecurities to learn to embrace their perceived imperfections.
She told the BBC: “I think I was just looking for something to make me more confident and I do regret that now. But my boobs were my day job and they made me a lot of money.
“I always try to put people off [cosmetic surgery]. Ladies should just be happy. Be happy with yourself. My goal now is to be happy, healthy and eat well.”

Chris Gascoyne’s ‘joyful’ Sally Carman scenes

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Gascoyne says shooting ‘Coronation Street’ scenes with Sally Carman have been “a joy” because she is “brilliantly instinctive”.
The 51-year-old actor’s alter-ego Peter Barlow has grown close to Sally’s character Abi Franklin in recent weeks, and he has loved filming with the former ‘Shameless’ star because the pair have a “good laugh”.
He said: “It’s been fantastic, she’s a real pleasure. The scenes haven’t been hard because she’s a brilliantly instinctive actress so anything just comes out of her – a moment that’s not meant to be will just happen and she will play it and it’s a joy because you never quite know what the scenes going to be or how it’s going to play out.
“You have an idea of what you need to do in the scene but with someone like Sally it’s exciting to play because it’s an instinctive thing.
“I’ve really enjoyed it and we have got on fantastically. We have had a great relationship and it’s been a good laugh while we were doing it.”
While the pair have been getting on like a boat on fire, Chris admits shooting scenes on his character’s vessel – on which a blaze is to break out, leaving his son Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) fighting for his life – has been “freezing and cramped”.
He said: “There’s been lots of days and night in that boat and on top of that boat and it’s been freezing and it’s cramped. It’s really been a great time I really enjoyed the whole storyline.”
Despite Peter and Abi getting close, Chris insists his alter-ego still holds a torch for his ex Carla Connor (Ali King), and has dropped a huge hint they may reconcile.
He added: “It’s unfinished business and unless they move to the other end of the world, and just carried on living without each other, they could get back together.
“But the spark is always there while they are still around each other.”

Mandy Moore ‘down’ for third Princess Diaries movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Mandy Moore would “be down” for a third ‘The Princess Diaries’ movie.
The 34-year-old actress played school bully Lana Thomas in the original 2001 film and despite not returning for the sequel ‘The Princess Diaries 2: A Royal Engagement’ she admitted she’d be up for reprising her role for a third instalment – though she’d like to see her character knocked “down a few pegs” and become “a little more humble”.
Speaking to People Now about the possibility of a third movie, she said: “I mean I’d like to see life had like kicked her down a few pegs because she was the bully in school.
“So if she does come back I would like to see her, life has come full circle for her maybe she’s a little bit more humble…I mean I’d be down.”
The original film followed teenager Mia Thermopolis, played by Anne Hathaway, whose life was turned upside-down when she learns the astonishing news that she’s the heir apparent to the crown of the small European principality of Genovia.
Earlier this year Anne, 36, revealed that “there is a script” for the third chapter of the romantic comedy series and says both she and Dame Julie Andrews – who plays Mia’s grandmother, Queen Clarisse Renaldi – are on board for the project.
She previously said: “There is a script for the third movie. There is a script. I want to do it. Julie [Andrews] wants to do it. Debra Martin Chase, our producer, wants to do it. We all really want it to happen.”
Tragically, the original director Garry Marshall passed away in 2016, and Anne says those involved are working to make sure the third instalment is “perfect” before they go ahead with creating the picture.
Anne previously added: “It’s just we don’t want to unless it’s perfect because we love it just as much as you guys love it. It’s as important to us as it is to you, and we don’t want to deliver anything until it’s ready, but we’re working on it.”

Status Quo rocker Francis Rossi does puzzles to unwind

OHMYGOSSIP — Status Quo’s Francis Rossi does jigsaw puzzles in between band practice.
The 69-year-old rocker is set to embark on a European tour with his bandmates – Andy Bown, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards, Leon Cave and Richie Malone – this summer, including a stop at London’s The SSE Arena, Wembley, on June 29, and he’s revealed he much prefers to chill out with a puzzle at his home in Croydon, London, than host or attend parties.
Rossi – who has lived at the same house since 1975 – told the Daily Star newspaper: “Jigsaw puzzles help me unwind.
“I tend to start at 10 in the morning and I finish at five, then I work out, then I do a bit of the puzzle then I practice for an hour or two and then I play patience and go to sleep again – I’m very regimented.
“As stay at home as much as possible, Indoors.
“I’ve never had a rock ‘n’ roll party while living here.”
The ‘Rockin’ All Over The World’ group’s co-founder Rick Parfitt passed away at the age of 68 in December 2016 from sepsis, a day after being admitted to a Marbella hospital to be treated for an infection affecting a pre-existing shoulder injury.
And although the band have continued to play shows, they cut back their performances last year, but Rossi told fans that they may start working on a new album – their first since 2016’s ‘Aquostic II: That’s a Fact!’ – some time this year.
Speaking in 2018, he said: “This year has been one of change and reassessment following the sad death of Rick Parfitt. Although Rick had already retired from touring for six months before he died, it was still a major shock and my immediate reaction was to honour existing contracts and then knock it on the head.
“However, since then I have become increasingly confused as I realised just how much I was enjoying touring with two vibrant young guys in the band in guitarist Richie Malone and drummer Leon Cave.
“They have given us old guys a good kick up the backside and while it could never be the same as with Rick in the band, it is different now but in an exciting and vibrant way that I can’t fully explain.
“The 2017 gigs have been absolutely incredible and spirits are high, but we do now need some thinking time to consider all of the options now on offer for 2019, which could well include the recording a new full on Quo rock album!”

The Who to start recording new album this week

OHMYGOSSIP — The Who will start recording their new album in west London this week.
The ‘Pinball Wizard’ group’s guitarist Pete Townshend has revealed he is heading to the iconic British Grove Studios – where The Rolling Stones produced their 2016 covers LP ‘Blue & Lonesome’ – to start putting together their first record in over a decade.
However, frontman Roger Daltrey won’t be joining them until later this month to add his parts.
Pete told the Daily Star newspaper: “Roger is not with us for the first day which is kind of sad but he’s off preparing for the year ahead.
“He’ll be in to do some vocal work when he gets back, which is about halfway through February.”
The surviving members of the legendary rock band – who were joined by the late drummer Keith Moon and bassist John Entwistle in the original formation of the band – revealed last month that they have a follow-up to 2006’s ‘Endless Wire’ in the pipeline.
Describing the tracks he has penned already, Pete teased: “Dark ballads, heavy rock stuff, experimental electronica, sampled stuff and Who-ish tunes that began with a guitar that goes yanga-dang.”
The record is mainly the work of the 73-year-old musician, but his bandmate hinted he’ll add some of his own songs to the mix.
Roger explained: “This has nothing to do with wanting a hit album [or] the fact The Who need a new album. It’s purely personal. It’s about my pride, my sense of self-worth and self-dignity as a writer.”
The 74-year-old singer added: “There’s at least five or six [songs] I can lay into and I’m sure they’ll come out incredible.”
As well as new music, The Who will bring their ‘Moving On! Tour’ to the London’s The SSE Arena, Wembley, on July 6.
The gig will see the band joined by special guests, including Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and Kaiser Chiefs, with more acts to be announced.
As previously confirmed for the tour, the show will feature the pair playing songs from their back catalogue accompanied by an orchestra, and frontman Roger previously reassured fans that it doesn’t mean they will be giving their performance any less “throttle”.
He said: “Be aware Who fans! Just because it’s The Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music. This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on.”

She will then head to Europe for shows in Paris, Hamburg, Aalborg, Barcelona, Bordeaux and Amsterdam.
The 48-year-old star hasn’t played non-festive shows on UK soil since 2016’s ‘The Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour’, which included a stop at The O2 arena in March that year.
Mariah recently admitted she is looking forward to getting “close” to her fans on her 2019 tour.
The superstar – who has seven-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-husband Nick Cannon – can’t wait for the “intimate” theatre shows she has coming up, which kick off in Dallas on February 27, and as well as new material from her 15th LP ‘Caution’ – which was released in November – she wants to treat the audiences to some forgotten classics.
She said: “I’m going to be touring again and it’s going to be more intimate and close with the fans this time. I’m looking forward to it. I really am.

“I want to put together a tour that the fans will feel is a new moment – as well as a chance to hear some of their favourite Mariah songs.”
Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall shows go on sale on February 8 at 9am from all major ticket outlets.

Channel 4’s The Island to return with £100k prize twist

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Island with Bear Grylls’ will return later this year with a new £100,000 prize fund and a new name.
The new series will be called ‘Treasure Island with Bear Grylls’ and will see 12 members of the public stranded on a remote Pacific Ocean land mass for a month, but this time a huge cash sum is hidden across the island as part of a “radical new twist”.
The 44-year-old survival instructor said: “This radical new twist on the island experience will test whether human nature really is ruled by the quest for financial gain, or whether co-operation and altruism in the face of adversity can bring their own reward.”
The islanders will be pushed to their limits as they try to find the cash prize. Only those who make it to the end can keep their share of the money they find. Those who finish early will be forced to leave with nothing.
Ian Dunkley, Channel 4’s commissioner, is eager to see the effects of the “fascinating new twist” following five successful seasons.
He said: “Being marooned on ‘The Island’ has always been one of the most extreme but rewarding experiences on British television.
“After five successful series, it feels like now is the right time to reinvent the format – and this fascinating new twist promises to shake things up in unpredictable ways.”
Tim Whitwell, Shine TV’s creative director, also admitted the cash prize twist will make the show even more challenging and intriguing than ever before.
He said: “Just when you thought ‘The Island’ couldn’t get any harder this intriguing development will push our everyday heroes to new limits.
“Adding money, the most powerful force in modern day society, to the equation will challenge more than just the ability to survive.”

Chris Pratt relates to Lego Movie character in a ‘major way’

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt’s new ‘Lego Movie’ character was inspired by his own life and career.
The 39-year-old actor plays Emmet Brickowski in the first instalment of the animated series, an ordinary Lego figurine who is identified as an extraordinary being and the key to saving the world – and reprised his role in sequel ‘The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part and The Lego Movie’.
The new film also sees Chris voice Emmet’s new pal, Rex Dangervest, who is described as “a galaxy-defending archaeologist cowboy raptor trainer who likes building furniture, bustin’ heads and having chiselled features previously hidden under baby fat”, which has drawn parallels to Chris’ own career, from his humble beginnings in sitcom ‘Parks and Recreation’ to heroic lead character Star-Lord in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise and he’s admitted that isn’t a coincidence.
He told Digital Spy: “I learned early on that I would be voicing a second character in this, and was able to help collaborate in a small way by having conversations with them throughout the course of them writing the script.
“And I mentioned how I felt that the first movie really paralleled my own life in a major way – that Emmet was this ordinary guy who gets the chance to become special and do something extraordinary and be a hero.
“Through the course of voicing the first ‘Lego Movie’ I got cast in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, so I myself, a very ordinary, regular guy get given the opportunity to do something extraordinary.
“So I really saw that in myself on screen as Emmet, and it felt real, so I told them, ‘Please feel free to go back to that well. Mine anything you want from my life since then’. And they came back with this character, and I said, ‘That’s great’.”
