Richard Gere becomes a dad for second time

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Gere has become a father for the second time.
The 69-year-old actor – who was previously married to Cindy Crawford and has a 19-year-old son, Homer, from his second marriage to Carey Lowell – reportedly welcomed his first child, a son, with wife Alejandra Silva, 35, into the world on Saturday (09.02.19).
Spanish magazine Hola! reported that the newborn was born in New York, “a few days ago”.
Further details on the couple’s new arrival, such as his name and weight, are yet to be revealed.
Richard previously admitted he has no worries about being an older father.
Asked if it was something that concerned him, he said: “Not at all. No.”
The couple had kept very tight-lipped on whether they were expecting a son or daughter.
Richard said: “Nobody knows because we haven’t told anybody.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Pretty Woman’ star recently admitted he “instantly” fell in love with his wife.
The Hollywood star felt a connection he’d never experienced before when he first met the blonde beauty almost five years ago.
Asked if he fell in love at first sight, he said: “Instant from my side. I instantly became happy just looking at her. It was one of those powerful things.
And pressed on if he’s felt the same connection in the past, he said: “Yes, I’ve been married three times, but it didn’t happen with the kind of power of this one. But I do remember the first time I met each of my wives.”
Alejandra – who has six-year-old son called Albert with her ex-husband Govind Freidland – revealed they were expecting a child in September.
The publicist shared a picture of the happy couple getting a blessing by the Buddhist leader, the Dalai Lama, to announce their happy news.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: “A very special moment just a few minutes ago… Getting blessings for our precious to come.. we couldn’t announce it before telling HH Dalai Lama (sic)”
She then went on to repeat her message in her native Spanish.
Richard and the businesswoman tied the knot in an Indian-inspired ceremony in the Big Apple, last April.
The couple first met four years ago through a mutual friend in Positano, Italy.

Shawn Mendes doesn’t have a Valentine

OHMYGOSSIP — Shawn Mendes has “never” made a big deal out of Valentine’s Day.
The ‘Stitches’ hitmaker has opened up about the romantic holiday on Thursday (14.02.19) and admitted while he doesn’t have a partner, he would “definitely” do something special for the occasion if he did have someone to share it with.
Speaking to ‘Extra’ at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night (10.02.19), he said: “I don’t, I don’t have a Valentine.
“If I had a girlfriend, I think I definitely would celebrate. But I never have… I never have gone and done something big for Valentine’s Day.”
However, the 20-year-old singer insisted while he isn’t being too picky, he doesn’t want to “force” a romance.
He explained: “No, I’m not looking for a queen at all – I’m just trying not to force something.”
Meanwhile, Shawn – who performed ‘In My Blood’ with Miley Cyrus at the star studded ceremony – has previously admitted while his career takes up a lot of his time and suggested he isn’t “supposed” to be dating at the moment, he would make an effort for the right person.
He said: “I didn’t mean it like I have to be single, I meant love isn’t something you should chase because then it isn’t real, so you have to just kind of let it happen …
“I don’t think you ever really get too busy for a relationship. I think you make time for it ’cause that’s important.”
Shawn’s comments came after he said he was focusing on his work and pushing himself “to his limit” by playing as many shows as he can.
He added: “I want to push myself to my limit of what I can handle and play as many shows and write as many songs as I can and fly around the world 10,000 times in a year, pushing myself to the point where it seems crazy.”

Letitia Wright saw her BAFTA speech as an ‘opportunity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Letitia Wright saw her BAFTAs acceptance speech as the perfect “opportunity” to speak about her struggles with depression.
The 25-year-old actress – who won the coveted Rising Star Award at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Sunday night (10.02.19) – revealed in her acceptance speech that she nearly quit acting due to a “deep depression”.
Reflecting on her speech, Letitia explained: “I didn’t write anything, I just thought, if I were to win I’d just speak from my heart.
“I knew that I was struggling with stuff that many people in the industry were struggling with and are hiding away from and not opening up and telling people about.
“Whether it be sadness, depression, thinking they’re not good enough and not allowing their light to shine within them.
“That was my opportunity to say it to them, that ‘Hey, I see you and I understand what you’re going through.'”
Letitia admitted that the glitz and glamour of the movie business can often be misleading.
She said: “This looks great, a red carpet and a nice dress looks great. But people on the inside are feeling sad and they’re feeling broken, so how can I encourage them tonight?”
In her acceptance speech, the actress spoke openly about her depression struggles.
She shared: “A few years ago I saw myself in a deep depression and I wanted to quit acting.
“The only thing that pulled me out of that was God, my belief, my family, and an email from BAFTA telling me they wanted me to be a part of BAFTA Breakthrough Brits and it inspired me to keep going. I’m still a work in progress.
“I want to encourage young people – matter of fact you don’t even have to be young – anybody that is going through a hard time, God made you and you’re important. Let your light shine.”

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ Valentine’s Day plan

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas will spend their first Valentine’s Day (14.02.19) as a married couple in London.
The ‘Baywatch’ actress has revealed she and the ‘Jealous’ hitmaker – who tied the knot with a three-day wedding in December – weren’t initially going to be able to spend the most romantic day of the year together, due to their hectic working schedules, but she will now be joining her husband in the British capital for a couple of days whilst he’s working there.
Priyanka told ‘Extra’: “I’m going to be in London, because Nick is going to be working in London so I am going in for two days to hang out.”
The 36-year-old actress added that she doesn’t believe in having one day to show how much you love someone, and gushed that the 26-year-old singer-and-actor is “thoughtful and sweet all the time”.
She added: “I’m not a believer that you need a day to tell someone you love them, but it’s always nice to hear it.
“We didn’t put too much pressure on it.
“We’re not supposed to be together this Valentine’s Day because I was working in LA and he in London, but things moved so I am glad we can spend that time together … The pressure does not exist — he’s thoughtful and sweet all the time.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Quantico’ star recently revealed she had a “panic attack” moments before she walked down the aisle.
Priyanka had a “freak out” when her 75-foot veil was being attached to her.
She recalled: “I kind of had a freak out moment right before I was supposed to walk down the aisle.
“I remember them putting the veil on me and the veil was like 75-feet, but I had a freak out moment when I was standing behind the curtains.
“They were going to tell me when to walk out and the music was going to start playing… I just started having a panic attack.”
However, as soon as she caught a glimpse of the groom she was put at ease.
She added: “Then the doors opened and I saw [Nick] and I cannot forget that moment.”
The 36-year-old star also opened up about how “different” it is being a wife.
She said: “Married life is different. There’s a big difference between a husband and a boyfriend, even a husband and a fiancé.
“I didn’t understand the gravity of that when I got married.
“But it’s a good thing to be married to a good husband. That makes it easy.”

Wes Nelson misses sex with Megan Barton Hanson

OHMYGOSSIP — Wes Nelson misses sex with ex-girlfriend Megan Barton Hanson.
The ‘Love Island’ couple split last month after Megan accused Wes’ ‘Dancing on Ice’ professional partner Vanessa Bauer of tactically breaking up with her own boyfriend in order to cause romance rumours between her and Wes.
And now, the 20-year-old hunk has said he misses their “very healthy” sex life, but insists he’s staying “sex-free for now” so he can focus on training for the ITV ice dancing competition.
He said: “Do I miss the sex? Of course. Anyone who watched ‘Love Island’ would know our sex life would not struggle. It was second to none. Our sex life remained very healthy throughout.
“But am I begging for it? No. I am happy training and being sex-free for now.”
Wes also admits he understands why Megan, 24, was upset about his long training hours with Vanessa, but hinted their drama distracted him from his performances.
He added: “No woman would enjoy their partner training with another woman for an extended period of time. Obviously it wasn’t easy. It affected our training and it threw my routine off a bit. Maybe the pressure got to me.”
The ‘Love Island’ hunk insists there’s nothing going on with him and his ice skating partner Vanessa, as he says their “bond” is purely for performance purposes.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column, Wes said: “There is no chemistry with Vanessa. Everyone here knows that but on the ice there has to be some kind of bond in terms of your dancing.
“There is nothing going on. It is nothing Vanessa has done – just the fact she didn’t reach out to Megan, who expected Vanessa to reassure her.”

Henry Cavill reportedly filmed Shazam! cameo

OHMYGOSSIP — Henry Cavill has reportedly filmed a cameo for ‘Shazam!’.
The 35-year-old actor currently stars as Clark Kent and his lycra-clad alter-ego Superman in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), and despite claims that his representatives had fallen out with Warner Bros. over plans for a cameo in the upcoming sci-fi flick, it has now been reported that he has filmed special scenes.
According to comments made by ComicBook.com’s Jim Viscardi on the latest issue of the ‘ComicBook Nation’ podcast, Henry has in fact shot a cameo appearance for the flick, but the scenes may not be used because Henry’s future in the role is still uncertain.
It has been claimed that DC will use the footage if Henry’s contract can be worked out in time, or else the footage will remain unseen.
However, a recent report from a test screening suggested that Superman does indeed make a cameo, but without his face visible, suggesting DC could still put Superman in the movie even without Henry in the role.
Reports of Henry’s departure from the role – which he has played in movies ‘Man of Steel’, ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and ‘Justice League’ – began in September, after it was claimed Warner Bros. and his representatives reportedly fell out over his cameo in ‘Shazam!’.
A source said at the time: “There’s a recognition that some parts of the previous movies didn’t work … Superman is like James Bond, and after a certain run you have to look at new actors.”
However, a statement from Warner Bros. tried to play down any final decisions made about Henry’s future as the superhero.
They said: “While no decisions have been made regarding any upcoming Superman films, we’ve always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged.”
Henry then posted a bizarre Instagram video in response to the reports.
In a brief video clip, the actor – who is seen sporting a T-shirt that reads ‘Krypton Lifting Team’ – was seen holding up a Superman figurine as ‘The Blue Danube’ plays in the background.
He captioned the video: “Today was exciting #Superman (sic)”

James Cameron reveals Terminator title as Terminator: Dark Fate

OHMYGOSSIP — James Cameron has revealed the new ‘Terminator’ movie has a working title of ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’.
The much-anticipated return of the money-spinning franchise is being directed by ‘Deadpool’ filmmaker Tim Miller, while Hollywood legend Cameron is involved with the franchise for the first time since ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ in 1991.
Revealing the name they have pencilled in, the ‘Alita: Battle Angel’ filmmaker told Yahoo!: “We’re calling it ‘Terminator: Dark Fate. That’s our working title right now.”
On working with Miller, Cameron added: “Tim’s a very wilful and opinionated director, and he’s got his own ideas for the film. I’m kind of like the Pips — he’s Gladys.”
Diego Boneta is joined in the cast by Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who are returning to the movie series, while ‘Blade Runner 2049’ actress Mackenzie Davis is set to play the role of Grace.
As yet, it’s not entirely clear what role Diego will play in the new movie, although it is known that he’ll be playing a human.
Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger previously revealed that the new ‘Terminator’ movie is going to be a return to the storytelling of the 1984 original.
The 71-year-old actor starred in the original movie as the titular character – a T-800 killer cyborg – and said fans of the sci-fi franchise can expect a return to the stripped down story of the cult classic.
He said: “I think James Cameron and Tim Miller came up with a concept where they can continue on with the T-800 but make a whole new movie.
“What they are doing now with this one is basically to just take a few very basic characters, like Linda Hamilton’s character and my character, and dismiss everything else. Just move away from all these rules of the timeline and other characters.”

Ariana Grande: Thank U Next saved my life

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande says ‘Thank U, Next’ “saved her life”.
The 25-year-old singer released the track late last year following the tragic passing of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller in September, and her split from former fiancée Pete Davidson in October, and has now said the song – which pays tribute to all her former partners – helped her get through a “super challenging chapter” in her life.
Speaking during an appearance on the ‘Zach Sang Show’, she said: “I made [‘Thank U, Next’] with my best friends over the course of a really small period of time and it kind of saved my life.
“It was this super challenging chapter that sucked and then my friends made it amazing and special. It turned everything around in my life. It sounds really corny, but it was the most beautiful. I don’t think life has ever been as bad as it was when [we started making it].”
The ‘7 Rings’ hitmaker also revealed she had written several different versions of the track, including one in which she hadn’t split with Pete and was still getting married, and another with no names included.
She added: “I was also trying to be protective. In my relationship [with Pete] at the time, things were like up and down and on and off, and so I didn’t know what was going to happen and then we got back together, so I had to make a different version of it, and then we broke up again, so we ended up going with that verse.
“There’s a version where I was getting married, there’s a version where I’m not getting married, there’s a version with nothing – we’re not talking about anything. But we all knew that the first version was gonna be the version we ultimately went with.”
And Ariana found putting the song out to be “very scary”, because the lyrics are so personal.
She said: “It was a big risk and a very scary thing to do, because it is my life. I understand that to a lot of people, I’m not a real person, or it’s easy to just kind of like see me as like, a song or a picture or like a thing that kind of exists in their head and they know what they know and that’s it. But at the end of the day, these are people and relationships. It’s real s**t to me. It is real life and I spent a lot of time with each of those people … it was like scary to put in a song.”

The former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star also revealed that she wants to bring their parents and son on their “familymoon”.
She said: “I’d like to do a big familymoon with our families.
“That way we can have time on our own as our parents can have him, but he’s still there.”
The couple have already bought their wedding rings, but as for the dress, Cara says she has struggled to narrow it down to just one.
She said: “I had a vision of a princess, Disney-style dress and then I tried dresses like that and now I have a few I like, but they’re all so different. I’m in love with all of them!”
The brunette beauty revealed the wedding will be taking place “really soon” as they have clear schedules.
Asked how the wedding planning is going, she told Now magazine: “They’re going really well!
”We haven’t got long, it’s happening really soon. “We’re finally at a stage now where we’ve got nothing else coming up so we’ve got no excuse not
to do it. “We’ve got the house and we’re engaged. Tresor Paris have designed our wedding rings and they’re gorgeous!”
The couple got engaged in July 2017, when Nathan got down in one knee in the ‘Love Island’ villa where they met.
He said at the time: “I brought her back to where we met and took her on a little treasure hunt around the villa to different places which meant something to us. Finally, I blindfolded her, led her to the pool and got down on one knee.”
And Cara admitted that the proposal was very romantic.
She added: “It was so romantic. It’s where we met – we’ve come full circle.”

And Robin wasn’t the only star to take his child to the ceremony, as Ricky Martin – who joined Ariana Grande to open the show – was joined by Matteo, one of his 10-year-old twins.
Like Robin, the ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ hitmaker also shared a photo of himself and his young date on Instagram.

Pink happy not to win Grammy

OHMYGOSSIP — Pink thought it was “kind of rad” to lose out on another Grammy award.
The ‘So What’ hitmaker – who has children Willow, seven, and Jameson, two, with husband Carey Hart – was unable to attend the ceremony on Sunday (10.02.19) because her kids were ill and though her record ‘Beautiful Trauma’ lost out on winning the Best Pop Vocal Album accolade to Ariana Grande’s ‘Sweetener’, the 39-year-old singer wasn’t too upset as she just felt “honoured” to have received 20 nominations over the years.
She tweeted: “I think it’s kind of rad that I just lost my 20th Grammy nomination.
“I’m always honored to be included. Now to get this sick baby in the bathtub.
“Congrats to all the nominees. Have fun tonight.(sic)”
And just to ensure Pink wasn’t too upset by her loss, her family made her a special tinfoil-covered Grammy award of her own.
She shared photos on Instagram of Willow and Jameson each holding the homemade trophy – which bore the words “Best Pop Vocal Album 2019 Grammy Awards – Pink ‘Beautiful Trauma” and captioned the post: “Thanks Kids:) my favorite kind of award (sic)”.
The ‘Raise a Glass’ singer admitted last week she wasn’t expecting to win this year and revealed Carey always makes her a Grammy when she loses out.
She quipped: “And so, this will be my 17th tinfoil Grammy on Sunday.”
Category winner Ariana also didn’t attend the event, which was held at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, so she used her own Twitter account to express her gratitude for the honour.
She posted: “I know I’m not there tonight (trust, I tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and I know I said I try not to put too much weight into these things …. but f**k ……. this is wild and beautiful. Thank you so much (sic)”

Brigitte Nielsen: I was blacklisted by Hollywood

OHMYGOSSIP — Brigitte Nielsen thinks she was “blacklisted” by Hollywood following her split from Sylvester Stallone.
The 55-year-old actress starred in several well-known films during the 1980s, including ‘Cobra’ and ‘Beverly Hills Cop II’ – but she claims worked dried up following her divorce from Stallone in 1987.
She said: “After I left Sylvester, I kind of felt like I was blacklisted for a long time.”
In the aftermath of her split from Stallone, she was romantically linked to various people.
And the actress feels that the interest in her love life started to overshadow her career.
She told the Guardian newspaper: “I am almost positive that had I not been in the public eye with this famous man, that would never have happened. But they always thought: after Stallone, who is going to be next?
“I was so angry at the time that I cut up my green card. I was p***ed off. I said: ‘I’m not an American – screw that, I’m out of here!'”
However, Brigitte and Stallone has since “buried the hatchet” – which led to the actress reprising the role of Ludmilla Drago in 2018’s ‘Creed II’.
And the Hollywood star insisted they both approached the film’s shoot in a “professional” manner.
She said: “Sylvester and I kind of buried the hatchet. He was in his American corner, I was in my Russian corner. We were very professional, and it worked out just fine.”

Regina Hall says Girls Trip transformed her career

OHMYGOSSIP — Regina Hall thinks starring in ‘Girls Trip’ has transformed her career.
The 48-year-old actress – who starred alongside the likes of Queen Latifah, Tiffany Haddish, and Jada Pinkett Smith in the comedy movie – thinks she’s benefited from “an incredible time of opportunity” in the movie business.
She shared: “I was telling my publicist that I’ve found out about a lot more parties that I didn’t know about. I was like, ‘Wait, what are these events? Where are these invitations that I’ve never heard of?’ There’s a whole other level to the business.
“So, yeah, I think so. It’s an ongoing thing for any person because, yes, it’s been a great year, but there are still so many incredibly talented people out there that are also great for different roles. It’s wonderful. It’s been an incredible time of opportunity.”
Regina also revealed she still dreams of working with the likes of Christopher Nolan and Martin Scorsese.
Speaking about her future ambitions, the actress told Collider: “I love Chris Nolan. I always talk about him. I’ve tried to stalk and meet him, but it hasn’t worked out yet. I’m gonna find him, though. And Martin Scorsese is great.
“There are just so many. It’s like naming who you want to work with that’s an actress. I would leave the room and think of five more that are amazing and be like, ‘Dang, how did I not say them?!’ But I’d love to work with those greats whose work impacts you.”

James Cameron: Film-making has completely changed

OHMYGOSSIP — James Cameron thinks film-making has changed “virtually 100 percent” during his career.
The 64-year-old director – who has helmed some of the most successful movies in history, including ‘Titanic’ and ‘Avatar’ – admits that the job of a filmmaker has changed dramatically since the start of his career.
Asked how the industry has evolved, Cameron explained: “I would say virtually 100 percent. Every single technique, machine and process that I used when I started has been replaced.
“We don’t even shoot on film. About the only thing that we have in common right now is that there’s still a lens and you still have to put it in focus.
“You know, we used to do matte paintings on glass, and now they’re all essentially Photoshopped.”
Despite this, Cameron thinks the “storytelling aspects” of the film-making process remain the same.
The veteran director also admitted that there are “no shortcuts in casting”.
He told Den of Geek: “There’s nothing that we did then that we’re doing now, and yet it’s still the same exact process. You imagine it, you write it, you draw it out and then you bring it to life. So the storytelling aspects are the same.
“And there are no shortcuts in casting – it’s still an actor walks into a room, they read some lines off a page and you have to imagine what they’re going to look like. So technology can’t replace certain things.
“The human component of it hasn’t changed at all. And the writing is writing.”

Rachel Weisz will keep her BAFTA ‘somewhere private’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Weisz plans to keep her BAFTA “somewhere private”.
The 48-year-old star won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role gong at the awards ceremony at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Sunday night (10.02.19), and Rachel has revealed she has special plans for her accolade.
Rachel – who won the award for her performance in ‘The Favourite’ – admitted: “I’m very proud, but I don’t think I’ll put it on the shelf – I think I’ll put it somewhere private. I have a study, I’ll put it in my study.”
Rachel stars alongside Olivia Colman and Emma Stone in the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed drama.
And the London-born actress – who is married to fellow Hollywood star Daniel Craig – feels lucky to have worked with such talented performers.
She told HELLO!: “I think it’s fair to say that each one of us relied on the other two – I think it was a true ensemble and they definitely made me better.”
Meanwhile, Rachel previously admitted to being proud of ‘The Favourite’ because of its “complex” portrayals of women.
Speaking about the movie – which explores the relationship of two cousins vying to be court favourites of Queen Anne – she said: “The thing we’ve heard a lot from people is how surprising it is that there’s a film where there are three women who are complicated, layered, powerful and not likeable.
“And it surprised me, sadly, that there have been very few films in the last decade that have not one or two but three very complex female roles.”

Jorja Smith doesn’t want to be as famous as Rihanna

OHMYGOSSIP — Jorja Smith doesn’t want Rihanna levels of fame.
The 21-year-old star – whose debut alum ‘Lost & Found’ charted at number three and number 41 in the UK and US respectively last year – has dismissed the idea she’s a celebrity, and insisted she is more focused on simply making a good living from her music.
She told The Observer: “Don’t want to be famous. I’m not famous. People know about me.
“No, do you know what? I don’t have goals or bucket lists because I don’t like being disappointed. But famous? Famous is like Rihanna. I’m not Rihanna. I’ve got a lot of work to do. I’d like to be successful. That’s what I’d like. And happy.”
Despite her first LP’s success, Jorja said she isn’t focused on “sales”, and explained the most important thing is being able to care for her pet dog while keeping a roof over her head.
She added: “No, I don’t look at sales. As long as no one tells me I’m in red, no one tells me I’m in debt, and I can still pay my rent and feed my dog, then I’m fine. And feed myself, of course. I’m good with my money so I’m not really worried about that.”
The singer is also more interested in longevity and artistic integrity, and she has hit back at critics claiming she doesn’t match the “upbeat” sound of the contemporary pop charts.
She said: “People mention how my songs are quite slow. Well, cool. If you don’t want to listen to slow songs, don’t listen to me. I’ve been asked, ‘If you hear music in the charts, it’s upbeat, why don’t you want to write music like that?’
“But I write something that I think’s good. With this album I wanted to make something classic. Something that doesn’t just get played once and then left in your music library.”
