Rebel Wilson had toenails glued on

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebel Wilson had her toenails “glued” back on in between filming love scenes for ‘Isn’t It Romantic’.
The 38-year-old actress stars opposite Liam Hemsworth in the upcoming movie and she tried hard to conceal the pain she was in during their intimate moments after suffering an injury while shooting a stunt.
She said: “I just admitted to Liam this morning something very embarrassing that happened to me in the scene where Liam comes out of the shower and I’m in bed. Um, two of my toenails had come off because of a stunt earlier in the week, and in between takes, my makeuup artist was supergluing them back onto my foot because I then had to run out of the bed and jump on Liam, or whatever.”
Liam replied: “Did it hurt a lot? That must’ve really hurt…”
The 29-year-old actor recently tied the knot with Miley Cyrus so Rebel joked she was very “respectful” of his new wife when they had intimate scenes to film.
Speaking at ‘Build Series’ in New York City, she quipped: “Liam is such a gentleman, and obviously I respect Miley [Cyrus], like, a hundred [percent], so, you know, it was all PG-13.”
But the actress admitted it was a “brutal” filming experience because she is on screen so much and she tried her best not to make love scenes “awkward” by simply not thinking about them.
She said: “When we would film, we would film 16 hours a day, and it was kind of brutal, and I just had to keep going because I am in every scene of the movie.
“The scene where we’re making out in the hallway — awesome, that one — somebody said to me, ‘We only have three shirts for Liam,’ so we only had three takes. So then I was like, ‘OK, I’m going for it.’
“It is awkward if you think about it, but if you just go for it … obviously our movie was PG-13, so nothing full on was going to happen.”
And for Liam, he has learned to keep things “nice and light” between romantic scenes to stop things becoming uncomfortable.
He said: “It’s always good in-between takes to keep it nice and light, because it’s always — when you do a kissing scene with someone that you’ve been working with — now all of a sudden you have to make physical contact with their lips, that’s always a little nerve-wracking.
“You’re doing it in front of a lot of people, but it was really fun. We kept it light and fun.”

Gerard Way rules out My Chemical Romance reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Gerard Way has ruled out a My Chemical Romance reunion.
The ‘Teenagers’ rockers went their separate ways in 2013 and though they have been inundated with offers to get back together and the singer “misses” working with his bandmates, he’s admitted it is unlikely to happen.
He said: “We definitely get offers regularly to reunite – it’s a constant thing…It’s flattering, it’s really nice of people…I miss playing with the guys, but I don’t think so.”
When the group split, the 41-year-old singer claimed the band weren’t needed anymore because Barack Obama was in power and he admitted the changing political climate in the US made him consider a reunion, but ultimately decided against it because he is such a different person now.
He told the Guardian newspaper “That’s stuff I thought about when the world started to get super f***ed-up again…It definitely came into my head, but I’d changed so much as a person.
“I didn’t know how I’d fit into it any more, I didn’t know how the band would fit into it any more. But you’re right, the world is definitely in need of something positive.”
However, the ‘Na Na Na’ hitmaker doesn’t seem to have ruled out a reunion entirely as he also spoke of how he’d do things differently if the group got back together.
He said: “I think if we ever did MCR again, we wouldn’t be in that machine any more.
“It would literally just be like: ‘Here’s a new piece of music, we’re putting this out and that’s it, this is not up for debate.’ ”
Gerard admitted one of the reasons why the group split up was because they stopped having “fun” and felt under a lot of pressure while making their 2010 album ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’.
He said: “When things start to succeed and go really well…that’s when a lot of people start to have an opinion and that’s when you run into struggle…everybody had a f***ing opinion about what MCR should be. So it made it difficult to figure out what direction to take next. You get caught up in this trap of ‘Is it ever gonna be good enough?’
“It wasn’t fun to make stuff any more. I think breaking up the band broke us out of that machine.”

Ariana Grande’s comments ‘surprised’ Grammy producer

OHMYGOSSIP — Grammy Awards producer Ken Ehrlich was “surprised” when Ariana Grande accused him of “stifling” her creativity.
The 25-year-old singer pulled out of performing at the annual ceremony, which takes place at Los Angeles’ Staples Centre on Sunday (10.02.19), over a dispute with organisers about her song choice, and after the ‘7 Rings’ hitmaker recently spoke out to slam the producer for “lying” about her, he’s dismissed suggestions he isn’t “collaborative”.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “I saw those tweets and what she said. I guess it was a surprise.
“I will say this, and they don’t want me to say it but I’m going to say it: The thing that probably bothered me more than whatever else she said about me is when she said I’m not collaborative.
“The fact of the matter is — and I actually wrote a little thing in the middle of the night that I’m not going to do anything about, but, I mean. You can ask Christina Aguilera, who I asked to do ‘It’s a Man’s World’ for James Brown.
“You can ask Melissa Etheridge, who finished her cancer treatment and I put her out on stage, bald, doing Janis Joplin. You can ask Ricky Martin who overnight became the creator of the Latin music revolution.
“Ask Mary J. Blige, who was scared s**tless to go out there and do ‘No More Drama.’ I basically worked with her to mold it. Ask H.E.R. who’s in this show.”
Ken admitted he never spoke to Ariana directly but worked with her management team and insisted he usually “does not have this happen”.
He added: “I don’t know if I’m good at anything else, but I understand artists and I can hear other artists in an artist.
“I don’t say to people, ‘This is what you should do.’ I approach it casually and say, hey, this might be a good idea, let’s find something in the middle.”
Ariana took to Twitter a few days ago to share an interview with Ken, in which he claimed she couldn’t “pull something together” in enough time.
The ‘Thank U, Next’ singer then wrote on Twitter: mhmmm here it is ! ‘too late for her to pull something together……’
“i’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.
“i offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. not doing favors or playing games. it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me. (sic)”
Ariana is nominated for two awards at the prestigious music event – Best Pop Vocal Performance for ‘God Is a Woman’ and Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘Sweetener’ – and says that whilst she won’t be attending the ceremony, she’s still “grateful” to be nominated.
She wrote in two separate tweets: “passed a Grammy’s bus with my face on it typing those.
“hope that helps everyone understand my decision. i am still grateful for the acknowledgement this year. (sic)”

Anne Hathaway: I’m not the perfect parent

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway knows she isn’t the “perfect” parent.
The ‘Devil Wears Prada’ star welcomed son Jonathan into the world two years ago with her husband Adam Shulman and whilst she admits to “falling short” sometimes when it comes to motherhood, she refuses to “beat” herself up about it.
She said: “He’s so beautiful. I’m not perfect, but if I’m frustrated or distracted, I’m good at making sure he’s safe and walking away, calming down and then coming back to him. [It’s hard] telling that harsh voice to be quiet. I fall short every day, but I’m not going to beat myself up about it, I’m going to learn from it.”
And the 36-year-old actress is taking parenting tips from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and likes how they make their children “feel empowered”.
She explained: “They get down on the child’s level and speak to them eye to eye to make their child feel empowered. I thought that was really cool. I started doing that with Jonathan.”
The ‘Serenity’ star finds it really “hard” leaving her son.
She told The Sunday Times’ Style magazine: “Leaving him is hard. I don’t want to complain. I love what I do and I’m not ready to stop doing it. I was told that once I had kids, I wouldn’t care about my career any more. I was, like, ‘Nah.’ But I love something so much more now.”
Meanwhile, Anne previously insisted she refuses to let herself feel “mommy guilt”.
She said: “I try to be nice to myself. I’m not big on mommy guilt. I just don’t really do it unless I really, really, really, really, really need to.”

Drew Barrymore used to be ‘scared’ of feminism

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore used to be “scared” of feminism.
The ‘Santa Clarita Diet’ star admits she was a bit nervous of the term feminism when she was younger as she didn’t like “all the male bashing” and doesn’t believe feminism should be about being “viscerally angry at men”.
She told Glamour magazine: “I was a bit scared of feminism when I was younger because of all the male bashing. And there are a lot of women’s movements now that I’m apprehensive about, because I don’t want to be viscerally angry at men. I love men. I like keeping both sides in mind. I avoid anything political, where I sense too much anger. It’s just not the way I find messaging to be truly empowering.”
Meanwhile, Drew previously revealed she likes to “rebel” against authority.
She confessed: “I definitely have a ferociousness. And I’ve always had it. I completely rebel against authority. Scrappy. I am very f***ing scrappy.”
Drew dotes on her daughters – Olive, six, and Frankie, four, who she shares with her ex-husband Will Kopelman – and previously dubbed them as the “loves of her life”.
She wrote: “The love of my life. Olive. Sunday. Thanksgiving weekend. I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday. This is a very special time. And may it bring out the best in all of us. And all the spirit of family and loved ones. I never knew I could love so much. I never knew I would be so lucky one day to be a mom. Thank you to all our many blessings for our family. And we wish them right back to yours … The other love of my life. Frankie. Side by side, holding hands. Best moments. I wish I could freeze them in time. To the old sounds of the carousel. Going round and round. These holidays can make me so nostalgic and just a big pile of mush! (sic)”

Gemma Collins leaves Dancing On Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins has left ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star and her skating partner Matt Evers has been booted off the skating show, after losing out in the skate off to Ryan Sidebottom and Brandee Malto.
Speaking after her exit, she said: “I’ve had fun. I’m have a bit of like intuition and I did say tonight’s my night and that’s why I’m just going to come out and have fun. I just want to bow out gracefully now. It’s time to let them all go on. I wish them all the best of luck; they work so hard.”
Asked if she’d continue skating now the show is over, she quipped: “No probably not. But you know what, I have enjoyed working on my fitness and do want to keep that up.”
All four judges – Jason Gardiner, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – opted to save Ryan and Brandee and they will skate again next week.
Jason – who famously argued with Gemma live on air earlier in the series – said: “Based on the skate off tonight, it is very easy for me to say this and it gives me great pleasure to say it that I will be saving Ryan and Brandee.”
Whilst Ashley added: “Ryan, I know injury has been really tough for you still but you came out tonight and you delivered a solid performance and a solid skate off. Gemma, I want to say welldone for putting the work in like you did and also I want to add that outside of the competition, you have to put up with some real rubbish online so I just want to say welldone for dealing with it. But based on the skate off, the couple I have to save is Ryan and Brandee.”
Jayne shared: “Well Gemma I’m glad you had fun tonight but the couple I’m saving are Ryan and Brandee.”
And Chris – who was this week’s head judge – said: “It came down to big character or big skater and I went with big skater, Ryan and Brandee.”
‘Dancing On Ice’ continues next weekend and the remaining contestants will need to bring their best moves as it is a double elimination.

Chris Cornell’s kids accept his award

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Cornell’s children accepted a posthumous Grammy Award on his behalf on Sunday (10.02.19).
The Soundgarden frontman – who took his own life in May 2017 – was honoured with the Best Rock Performance accolade for ‘When Bad Does Good’, which was released as part of a posthumous compilation of previously-unreleased music in September, and 14-year-old Toni and 13-year-old Christopher paid a touching tribute to their dad when they picked up the trophy at a pre-show ceremony.
Toni said: “His voice was his vision and his music was his peace. This is for you daddy, we love you so much.”
Christopher added: “I never thought we’d be standing here without my dad, and I’m sure he would be proud and honoured.

“He was also one of the greatest poets of his time, whose … soaring, unforgettable vocals made him the voice of a generation. While he touched the hearts of millions, the most important thing he was known for to us is for being the greatest father.”
The teenagers had been joined on the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Staples Centre by their mother, Vicky Karayiannis, and Toni had even donned a shirt emblazoned with her father’s likeness for the occasion.
The Audioslave singer had been nominated for 16 Grammy awards throughout his career and his 2019 win was his third in total.

Ariana Grande still wears Grammys dress

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande wore a Zac Posen ball gown to watch the Grammy Awards on TV.
The ‘Thank U, Next’ hitmaker had pulled out of attending the ceremony on Sunday (10.02.19) following a row with producers over her planned performance, but saw no reason why she shouldn’t get chance to wear the stunning pale blue strapless gown and staged a photoshoot in her apartment.
Ariana – who paired the dress with a jewelled choker and her signature high ponytail – shared a number of images of herself in the dress on her Instagram account.
She captioned one post: “when @zacposen makes u a custom gown it doesn’t matter if you’re singing or not… thank u (heart emoji).”
While the 25-year-old star wasn’t at the Grammy Awards – which were hosted by Alicia Keys at Los Angeles’ Staples Centre – she scooped the Best Pop Vocal Album for her record ‘Sweetener’ and used Twitter to admit she was still delighted to have won.
She posted: “I know I’m not there tonight (trust, I tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and I know I said I try not to put too much weight into these things …. but f**k ……. this is wild and beautiful. Thank you so much (sic)”
Ariana slammed Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich on Twitter a few days ago when she shared pictures of an interview he’d given in which he claimed she couldn’t “pull something together” in enough time.
She wrote: “i’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.

Aretha Franklin honoured at Grammys

OHMYGOSSIP — Aretha Franklin received a special musical tribute at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (10.02.19).
The Queen of Soul passed away aged 76 last August and her lasting legacy was recognised by Andra Day, Yolanda Adams – who performed at the ‘Think’ singer’s funeral – and Fantasia Barrino, who joined forces to perform ‘(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman’ in honour of the legendary star.
As the trio sang, images of Aretha flashed on screens behind them at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, and they were given a standing ovation when they finished.
Host Alicia Keys said afterwards: “That was so incredible, ladies, that was so beautiful.”
The trio’s performance came immediately after the annual In Memoriam segment of the show, which honours those in the music industry who have passed away over the last 12 months with a video and picture montage, underscored by the artists’ music.
Among those recognised this year were 26-year-old rapper Mac Miller, who died from an overdose in September and Swedish DJ Avicii, who took his own life aged 28 in April.
Buzzcocks rocker Pete Shelley, Jefferson Airplane co-founder Marty Balin, Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Ed King, Blues Brothers musician Matt Murphy, Carol Channing and Nancy Wilson were also included in the tribute, as were country music star Roy Clark, Pantera’s Vinnie Paul Abbott, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds pianist Conway Savage, rapper Jimmy Wopo, and Joe Jackson, the 89-year-old patriarch and manager of the Jackson family, who died of cancer last June.
However, rapper XXXTentacion – who was shot dead during a robbery attempt in Florida in June – was notably omitted from the segment.

Ariana Grande’s Grammy fury over Mac Miller snub

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande was furious that Mac Miller didn’t win a Grammy Award.
The 25-year-old singer apologised after tweeting “f**k” and “trash” when Cardi B won Best Rap Album for ‘Invasion of Privacy’, insisting she hadn’t meant to shade the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker.
She deleted her tweets and then wrote: “[The tweets had] nothing to do w [Cardi]. good for her. i promise. i’m sorry.
“She’s not [trash] at all and that’s not what i meant and u know that.”
The ‘God is A Woman’ hitmaker – who began dating the late star in August 2016 but they split early in 2018, months before he died from an accidental overdose in September – admitted she was upset that Mac’s ‘Swimming’ hadn’t taken the honour, particularly because Grammys bosses had invited his parents, Karen Meyer and Mark McCormick to attend the ceremony.
Responding to a tweet questioning why the late rapper hadn’t received the award when his parents were there, she replied: “This. this is what i meant. karen was gonna have a green suit made.(sic)”
Meanwhile, Cardi didn’t respond to the comments but she took to her Instagram account to share a screenshot of a story that claimed Mac’s family wanted her to win the award if he didn’t.
She captioned the post: “WE WON A F**KIN GRAMMY (sic)”
Ariana liked the post and added three hearts in the comments.
The ‘7 Rings’ singer didn’t attend the Grammy awards as she had been locked in a dispute with event organisers over her planned performance.
Ariana – who won Best Pop Vocal Album for her record ‘Sweetener’ – slammed Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich on Twitter a few days ago when she shared pictures of an interview he’d given in which he claimed she couldn’t “pull something together” in enough time.

Liam Hemsworth misses Grammys due to illness

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Hemsworth missed the Grammy Awards because he was in hospital.
The 29-year-old actor was not at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Sunday (10.02.19) to watch his wife Miley Cyrus perform with Shawn Mendes and again as part of a tribute to her godmother Dolly Parton because he had fallen ill and had been receiving treatment elsewhere.
Liam’s ‘Isn’t It Romantic’ co-star Rebel Wilson explained the actor was missing from group interviews and his other commitments due to an unspecified medical problem.
She told ‘Extra’: “Yes, he texted us this morning — he was in (the) hospital overnight, so hopefully he will be fine.”
Instead, Miley was joined at the ceremony by her younger sister, Noah Cyrus.
She shared a photo of them together on her Instagram account and wrote: “My #1. The coolest girl I know. Sickest songwriter. Vocalist . Style Goddess. & above all the best little sister I could’ve ever asked for. [heart emoji] @noahcyrus @recordingacademy (sic)”
She also posed on the red carpet with her parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus and took to her Instagram story to share a throwback photo of herself as a child attending the Grammys with her country superstar father.
A spokesperson for Warner Brothers confirmed to People magazine that Liam had woken up feeling unwell so pulled out of his press commitments to promote ‘Isn’t It Romantic’ on Sunday to recover.
It is not clear what is wrong with the ‘Hunger Games’ star or whether he will be fit to attend the film’s premiere with Miley on Monday (11.02.19) as they had originally planned.

Mahershala Ali sick of being asked about diversity

OHMYGOSSIP — Mahershala Ali is tired of “always” being asked “about diversity” just because he is a black actor.
The 44-year-old actor has hit out at the way black stars are constantly asked about “where the culture’s at” in interviews, when white actors often get to simply talk about “their process and life” without having to comment on larger issues.
He said: “It’s just that white actors are only asked about race if they’re doing a civil rights project. In interviews like this, they talk about their process and life, but black actors are always talking about diversity, where the culture’s at, where it’s going. We have to be professors of cultural studies, where a white actor can just be an actor!”
Mahershala originally won a basketball scholarship at St Mary’s College of California when he was a teenager, but decided not to pursue the sporting career path because he found it “exploitative”.
The ‘Moonlight’ star said: “I found college sports exploitative. They saw players as a product. We were just there to win championships. So I used sports to pay for my education. I knew I had to do something creative like my dad.”
And the ‘Green Book’ actor insists he didn’t become an actor in the hope of finding fame and money, as he says he believed that if he simply did his “best work”, that the rest would come “naturally”.
He said: “It took time but I learned that acting was about just being of service to stories and characters. And I always believed that if I just did my best work, it would naturally expand.”
Mahershala won an Oscar for his performance in ‘Moonlight’ in 2017, and landed the part of Wayne Hays in ‘True Detective’ as a result.
And the actor says the important TV role “checks so many boxes” for him.
Speaking to the newly relaunched issue of Esquire UK – which is on sale Thursday (14.02.19) – Mahershala said: “If I could articulate the type of challenge that I wanted, whether for film or TV, it was Wayne Hays. It’s just a massive role. Expansive. It checks so many boxes for me as an actor, that in terms of TV, it doesn’t get better. I just thought, coming off the Oscars, if I didn’t get that opportunity then, I don’t know how you get to that place.”

Hugh Jackman to open the Brit Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman will open the Brit Awards with a track from ‘The Greatest Showman’.
The 50-year-old actor is set to grace the stage of the UK music award ceremony next week for a performance of a hit from the 2017 musical – in which he starred as circus master P. T. Barnum – despite the soundtrack to the flick not being nominated for any awards.
A music insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Brits bosses did everything they could to sign up Hugh. He may not be as cool as the younger stars performing on the night, but he will certainly be the most popular.
“They are banking on his opening performance being a must-see for fans of the movie and are convinced he will be enough to persuade older viewers to tune in.
“Because it was a soundtrack it didn’t fit into any obvious awards categories but it has been the biggest thing in music for years so they had to acknowledge it somehow.”
The soundtrack to ‘The Greatest Showman’ – which also starred Zac Efron, Zendaya, and Michelle Williams – was the biggest selling album of 2018 in the UK with 1.6 million sales.
Those impressive sales put clear water of 900,000 more sales between it and the album in second place, which was the second album from George Ezra – who will also be performing at the event – titled ‘Staying At Tamara’s’, which sold a total of 691,000 throughout the year.
The Brit Awards – which will take place at London’s O2 Arena on February 20 – will also see the likes of Little Mix, Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa, and Pink take to the stage, while the show will be hosted by Jack Whitehall and aired live on ITV.

Whilst Chris, who can be seen planting a kiss on his fiancee’s cheek in the shot, shared the same picture to his profile, and added: “The happiest.”
He also hinted that it won’t be long before he ties the knot with the 30-year-old beauty.
Alongside another snap of the pair dressed up for the occasion, he wrote: “not from our wedding BUT IT WILL BE SOON (sic)”
The pair first met in 2015, when the 30-year-old hunk joined The CW show as Mon-El, Melissa’s alter-ego Kara Danvers’ love interest.
However, they didn’t start dating in real life until 2017, after the ‘Patriots Day’ actress divorced her ex-husband and ‘Glee’ co-star Blake Jenner in December 2016.
Melissa and Blake initially filed for divorce in December 2016, citing irreconcilable differences, but there was no child custody or support issues to iron out because they didn’t have any kids together.
According to TMZ, the former couple reached a property settlement but didn’t file it with the courts.
They are said to have told the judge their issues were resolved and sorted out who received what from their two-year marriage, with Melissa taking back her maiden name.
The former co-stars – who portrayed Marley Rose and Ryder Lynn – tied the knot in March 2015 surrounded by their family and close friends after he popped the question in July 2013.
