Soulja Boy reaffirms ambition to fight Jake Paul

OHMYGOSSIP — Soulja Boy is desperate to fight Jake Paul in a celebrity boxing match.
The 28-year-old rap star is involved in a high-profile feud with the popular YouTuber, and Soulja Boy has insisted he’s keen to face-off against his rival inside a boxing ring.
He told TMZ: “Jake Paul can’t beat me in no fight, you know that. It’s really gonna happen, though. It’s for real.”
The duo have previously discussed putting a $20 million wager on the outcome of their proposed bout.
And while Jake has questioned whether the rap star has the money to risk on the outcome of their bout, Soulja Boy isn’t planning to back down or walk away from the challenge.
He said: “Jake Paul, you a b***h.”
The feud was ignited earlier this month when Jake revealed his ambition to fight the ‘Kiss Me Thru the Phone’ hitmaker.
He tweeted: “I wanna box @souljaboy (sic)”
And Soulja Boy – whose real name is DeAndre Way – quickly insisted he was up for the fight.
He replied: “Boy I’ll knock you out (sic)”
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Soulja Boy accused Kanye West of “disrespecting” black culture.
The rapper also revealed he wouldn’t consider working with Kanye until he “tightens up” his act and distances himself from US President Donald Trump.
He said: “What is wrong with you, Kanye? I don’t want to make no music with you right now until you tighten up. You’re disrespecting our culture. You’re wearing a Trump hat. You know what you’re doing.”
The rapper also claimed he is responsible for Kanye being “stuck up”.
He explained: “I’m the reason why Kanye is stuck up and he acts cocky. Because when I was a 16-year-old kid and I had the number one song in the world with ‘Crank That’, I didn’t know who Kanye was.
“My manager tried to introduce me to him and I slammed the van door in his face saying, ‘Get out of my face.’ And ever since then he’s just been so arrogant.”

Miley Cyrus feels ‘better than ever’

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus is feeling “better than ever” after marrying Liam Hemsworth.
The 26-year-old pop star married the Hollywood actor in a private wedding ceremony in their home in Franklin, Tennessee, in December – and Miley has revealed she is loving life as a married woman.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I’m good. I’m doing good, better than ever.”
Miley is the daughter of fellow singer Billy Ray Cyrus and is the goddaughter of country legend Dolly Parton, who she calls her “fairy godmother”.
And Miley has lifted the lid on her relationship with Dolly, revealing that the iconic singer doesn’t like simply being called her “godmother”.
She shared: “She doesn’t really let me call her a godmother. She likes fairy godmother much better.”
Meanwhile, Liam recently revealed he’s finally getting used to calling Miley his wife.
The in-demand actor admitted it’s taken him some time to really process the idea of being a married man.
He said: “It’s become a little more normal, but the first couple of weeks it was … I mean, it’s only been a month and a half. But the first couple of weeks was really foreign to me, with ‘wife’ and ‘husband.’
“I just have her in as ‘Wife’ in my phone now.”
Liam also revealed that the high-profile couple – who met whilst filming the 2010 movie ‘The Last Song’ – were determined to keep their wedding a low-key occasion, saying they were too “embarrassed” to host a big event.
The ‘Hunger Games’ star explained: “We never wanted to do anything too extravagant or big. We find the whole thing kind of embarrassing.
“We know how we feel about each other. We just wanted something simple and organic with immediate family.”

Daniel Radcliffe relished starring in comedy role

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Radcliffe relished starring in ‘Miracle Workers’ because he wanted to showcase his comedic talents.
The 29-year-old actor is best-known for appearing in the money-spinning ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, but Daniel was excited to star in the new TV series because he enjoyed the challenge of playing a comedic role.
He said: “A lot of what I watch and what I grew up watching was comedy.
“I’ve done comedy onstage, so some people have seen me do it. But not for an audience this wide. So I was really excited to try and show that side of myself as an actor.”
Daniel also claimed his experience of theatre acting has helped him to become a more well-rounded performer.
He told the New York Post newspaper: “Theatre makes me a better actor every time I do it.”
Meanwhile, Rupert Grint – Daniel’s former ‘Harry Potter’ co-star – previously likened leaving the franchise to “stepping out of an institution”.
Rupert, 30 – who starred as Ron Weasley in the film series – admitted to being somewhat relieved to leave the role behind in 2011, when ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2’ was released.
He confessed: “The line between Ron and me became thinner with each film and I think we became virtually the same person.
“There’s a lot of me in Ron and moving on was a massive adjustment because it was such a constant part of my life.
“I don’t want to liken it to coming out of prison because it wasn’t a prison, but it did feel like stepping out of an institution. It was nice to breathe the fresh air and now I’m really enjoying stepping further away from that blue-screen world.”

Meghan Markle’s father makes letter public

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duchess of Sussex told her father he had “broken [her] heart into a million pieces” for causing her “unnecessary and unwarranted pain” in a heartfelt letter.
The 37-year-old former actress – who was known as Meghan Markle before her marriage to Prince Harry – penned a five-page note to Thomas Markle last August, in which she complained he had made no attempt to contact her, rebuked him for giving interviews claiming he had been shunned, turning down their help and siding with her half-sister Samantha Markle with her “vicious lies”, who she “barely knows”.
Thomas insists he wanted to keep the letter private “out of respect” for his daughter, but has now made it public following recent reports about its contents.
In one extract, obtained by the Mail on Sunday newspaper, Meghan questions why he told the media he had been in touch to tell her wouldn’t be attending her and Harry’s wedding after suffering a heart attack, because she didn’t receive a call from him.
But he told the publication: “I sent Meg and Harry a text telling them I wasn’t coming. It was too dangerous after my heart attacks.”
The former ‘Suits’ star went on to discuss how “horrifying” it was to learn about his heart attack from external sources.
She wrote: “I have only ever loved, protected and defended you, offered whatever financial support I could, worried about your health…and always asking how I could help.
“So the week of the wedding to hear about you having a heart attack through a tabloid was horrifying.
“I called and texted. I begged you to accept help – we sent someone to your home… And instead of speaking to me to accept this, or any help, you stopped answering your phone and chose to speak to tabloids.”
The retired lighting director again defended himself from Meghan’s claims.
He explained: “I didn’t stop answering my phone. I was in hospital with a heart attack! Meg and Harry knew what was going on.”
Meghan also hit out at her father for publicly criticising Harry, despite the prince being “nothing but patient, kind and understanding” and begged him to stop “exploiting” their relationship and “fabricating” stories.
And she insisted Thomas had done nothing to try and get in touch with her, despite his public claims she had rejected his attempts.
She wrote: “You haven’t reached out to me since the week of our wedding, and while you claim you have no way of contacting me, my phone number has remained the same.
“This you know. No texts, no missed calls, no outreach from you – just more interviews you’re being paid to do to say hurtful and harmful things that are untrue.”
Thomas, 74, branded Meghan’s lengthy letter a “dagger to the heart” and dismissed her claims, showing the newspaper texts he believes prove he’d made attempts to communicate with his pregnant daughter and her spouse.
He said: “I thought it would be an olive branch. Instead, it was a dagger to the heart.”

Ozzy Osbourne was in intensive care

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne was reportedly treating in an intensive care unit after being hospitalised with flu.
The 70-year-old rocker postponed the UK and European leg of his ‘No More Tours 2’ concert series last month and earlier this week, his wife Sharon revealed he had been admitted to a medical facility after experiencing “complications”, and now it’s emerged doctors had “grave concerns” for the Black Sabbath frontman when he entered the private facility.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Poor old Ozzy hasn’t had the best of times. He’s been really struggling with flu which turned into bronchitis. Doctors feared he could contract pneumonia which, in a person over 70, can be fatal.
“This sparked a lot of panic among those closest to him, but doctors reassured everyone he was in the best possible hands.”
Thankfully, the ‘Paranoid’ hitmaker is said to be getting stronger every day and is now over “the worst” of his illness.
The insider added: “Ozzy’s a fighter, and is getting better day by day . The worst is over, he’s smiling again, and he can’t wait to get up on stage.”
Sharon confirmed on Twitter earlier this week that Ozzy had been admitted to hospital.
She posted: “As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu. His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love.”
The ‘War Pigs’ hitmaker recently said he was “devastated” to have to postpone his tour dates, which came after he pushed back a string of other shows last year when he contracted an infection in his thumb.
He said: “I’m completely devastated for having to postpone the European leg of my tour. It just seems that since October everything I touch has turned to s**t. First the staph infection in my thumb and now coming down with the flu and bronchitis.
” I want to apologise to all of my fans who have been so loyal over the years, my band, my crew and to Judas Priest for letting you all down. However, I promise the tour with Judas Priest will be completed. It’s being rescheduled right now to start in September. Again, I apologize to everyone. God Bless. Love you all, Ozzy.”

Megan Barton Hanson predicts love for Wes Nelson and Vanessa Bauer

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Barton Hanson wouldn’t be “shocked” if Wes Nelson dates Vanessa Bauer.
The 24-year-old beauty recently split from the 20-year-old hunk, six months after they met on ‘Love Island’, and after she previously criticised his ‘Dancing on Ice’ partner for her “tactical” break-up from Louis Nathaniel and claimed the skater hadn’t been welcoming towards her, she’s now admitted she thinks the TV partnership will spill over into real life.
She said: “It wouldn’t shock me if they got together.
“They’re both so career driven. They do have a lot in common.
“If that’s what they do, then it’s up to them. It would sting a little bit. It wouldn’t be nice.
“It will be rubbed in my face and I think a lot of people would be smug and laugh at me.”
Despite splitting from Wes, Megan revealed Vanessa has now tried to get in contact with her – but she doesn’t see the point in trying to patch things up.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “It’s three months too late. I don’t see the point of meeting her, now I’m no longer with Wes.
“I reached out to her at the time, gave her my number and she didn’t want to reply then, so I don’t see what use meeting her now is going to do.
“As a woman, spending that much time with someone’s boyfriend, she should have reached out and introduced herself at the time.”
While the blonde star was a regular in the ‘Dancing on Ice’ audience to support Wes, now they’ve split up, she doesn’t even plan to watch it on TV.
She said: “It’s not a bit of me but I hope Wes does well. Hopefully he’ll win but I can’t say I’ll be tuning in every Sunday.”
But Megan admitted she is still in love with Wes.
She said: “I wish I could get back together with Wes. If he was five years older, or I was five years younger, it might have worked. Right now, our priorities are very different.
“I want to find someone to spend my life with, go travelling with, go for nice meals and be wined and dined.
“Wes has been given this amazing opportunity and he just wants to capitalise on it, which is fair enough. At 20, I’d be exactly the same.
“I still love him. You can’t spend that much time with someone and then fall out of love instantly.”

Kerry Katona meditating with Gemma Collins

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona has been helping Gemma Collins banish negativity with crystals and affirmations.
The 38-year-old singer has been a regular visitor to ‘Dancing On Ice’ to support her ex-husband Brian McFadden, but hit it off with the ‘Only Way is Essex’ star when they met backstage.
Kerry has been offering Gemma tips on yoga and meditation, and has even been recommending crystals to keep her calm and stress-free while training for the show.
A source told the Sunday People newspaper: “It sounds a bit woo and wacky, but Kerry’s obsessed with meditating and yoga and it’s helped her so much with her stress and anxiety.
“Kerry has been choosing crystals she thinks will help Gemma cope with the pressures of ‘Dancing on Ice’ and all the diva accusations she’s had.”
The pair regular speak via FaceTime, with Kerry helping Gemma with guided meditation and sending positive energy to her.
The insider added: “Kerry holds the crystal to her heart and says the affirmation for Gemma. Different stones and colours help with different areas of life.”
Kerry isn’t the only person Gemma has turned to in order to help with the energy surrounding the show, as it was recently revealed the 38-year-old reality star had brought in a shamanic practitioner named Sue to cleanse the rink of negativity following her painful fall last month.
In a video shared on Instagram, she said: “I’ve brought a psychic into the ice today to cleanse the energy for my performance on Sunday.
“There’s very bad energy in this corner and it’s affecting the performance. We are gonna banish out all the bad energy for this Sunday. Hell yeah!”
Gemma also revealed clips of Sue moving around the studio chanting and carrying out rituals to “cleanse” the space.
The ‘TOWIE’ star added: “She’s banishing away the negative energy since my trauma of the fall on the ice.
“She’s getting me at one with the ice again. Go on, darling!”
The ITV show’s associate creative director Dan Whiston previously suggested that Gemma’s fall has “cursed” the other contestants, including Melody Thornton, Jane Danson and Wes Nelson, after they also suffered injuries and set backs.
He recently said: “It was really, really awful.
“It was almost as if Gemma’s fall from last week’s show … it was a sign of things to come. Everyone was getting injured.
“She’s got black knees, they’re so bruised, she hurt her chest as well. People are pushing the boundaries so there are going to be these injuries.”

Lily James has directing dream

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily James wants to become a director in the future.
The 29-year-old actress is keen to move behind the camera eventually, initially by getting involved in the production side of the film business before moving on to make her own movies because she wants to have complete artistic control over a big screen project.
Speaking to the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine – of which she is the cover star – she said: “Maybe I’m meant to be a producer? Produce first, and then if I find the right book, direct. I’m always trying to find books. A lot of actors feel, once they’ve made the film, that’s it, my job’s done. But I get jealous of the director in the edit. It tortures me and I really try to contribute. I’m a real perfectionist – which probably limits me – but I do feel I’d be quite good in the edit.”
Lily’s directing ambition was partly inspired when she worked on ‘Little Woods’ under the guidance of female director Nia DaCosta.
She said: “For our wrap gifts, we all got caps saying ‘The Future is Female’. We’re already on that vibe, you know?”
The ‘Baby Driver’ star has followed the progress of the #MeToo and Time’s Up campaigns closely and she believes both movements have brought about more equality in the movie industry but she still thinks there’s a long way to go for genuine quality between the sexes in Hollywood.
She said: “Of course, there have been times when I can relate to attitudes and behaviour. But I think things are definitely changing. People are more likely to speak out and know they will be listened to.
“When you see [the statistics] in black and white, you can’t believe how imbalanced it is.”
While the ‘Cinderella’ actress has previously been reluctant to insist on inclusion riders in her contract, which request a certain level of diversity in the cast and crew, because she was worried about being perceived as difficult, but she thinks she needs to take a different stance.
She said: “I guess everyone needs to be doing it. Screw agreeability, screw feeling like you’re not worthy of demanding what is right.”

Anne Hathaway not expecting film popularity

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway isn’t expecting “everybody” to like her new movie.
The 36-year-old actress stars opposite Matthew McConaughey in ‘Serenity’ – a thriller in which she begs her fisherman ex-husband to kill her current, abusive, spouse for the sake of her son and her own wellbeing – and though she was a big fan of the film, she understands why it may not be universally popular.
She said: “I love it, but I don’t think everybody’s going to. There’s a pretty toxic cocktail going on and, without running the risk of spoilers, the ending doesn’t sit well with a lot of people.”
Anne was attracted to the role because she wanted to portray a broken woman.
She told Sunday Times Style magazine: “I wanted to show a woman who had her identity crushed and handed a new one that was entirely the making of a man consumed by the male gaze.”
The Oscar-winning actress tries to find roles that are very different to her own self, dismissing advice she was given early in her career.
She said: “At the beginning of my career, an actor told me, ‘We basically play ourselves.’ No, I do this because I want to leave myself behind.”
Since Anne and her husband Adam Shulman became parents to their son Jonathan, now two, the ‘Les Miserables’ actress admitted she has started to think differently about her career because it’s no longer her main priority.
She said: “Leaving him is hard. I don’t want to complain. I love what I do and I’m not ready to stop doing it. I was told that once I had kids, I wouldn’t care about my career any more. I was, like, ‘Nah.’ But I love something so much more now.”

Kylie Jenner throws lavish party for daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott threw a lavish ‘Stormi World’ themed party for their daughter on Saturday (09.02.19).
The couple celebrated little Stormi turning one with an intimate family get together on 1 February – the tot’s actual birthday – but went all out for friends and relatives with a huge bash themed around the rapper’s ‘Astroworld’ LP.
The entrance to the party mimicked the album cover, so guests walked in via the mouth of a giant inflatable Stormi, and they were also given ‘Stormi World’ balloons to walk around the grounds.
Carnival rides, a butterfly garden, giant inflatables and dancing pixies were there to entertain the guests, as well as singing and dancing that included ‘Baby Shark’.
The group were served mini pizzas and french fries, which were placed in pink cartons with SW written on them in the signature Louise Vuitton ‘LV’ font.
Also on offer was a huge cake adorned with flowers and a mini carousel, and pretzels, which were hanging from strings on umbrellas being circulated around the outdoor venue.
And that’s not all as there was even a ‘Stormi’s Gift Shop’ merchandise stand for guests.
Kylie later shared a photo of herself and Stormi in front of neon lighting which read “Wish you were here” and insisted she “had” to throw the lavish bash.
She captioned the photo: “i had to go all out for my baby. #StormiWorld (sic)”
The Kylie Cosmetics guru admitted last week that bad weather had caused her to postpone plans for Stormi’s party.
In a series clips on her Instagram story, she said: “Alright so, we were supposed to have Stormi’s birthday party this weekend. It’s not happening because it was supposed to rain and it’s not raining anymore.
“It didn’t end up raining, but better safe than sorry. We have all her cousins here and everybody who loves her. We’re playing with farm animals.”

Richard Gere’s instant love connection

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Gere “instantly” fell in love with his wife Alejandra Silva.
The 69-year-old actor – who was previously married to Cindy Crawford and has a 19-year-old son, Homer, from his second marriage to Carey Lowell – felt a connection he’d never experienced before when he first met the 35-year-old beauty almost five years ago.
Asked if he fell in love at first sight, he said: “Instant from my side. I instantly became happy just looking at her. It was one of those powerful things.
And pressed on if he’s felt the same connection in the past, he said: “Yes, I’ve been married three times, but it didn’t happen with the kind of power of this one. But I do remember the first time I met each of my wives.”
Though the ‘Pretty Woman’ star’s previous two marriages ended in divorce, Richard doesn’t hold any ill feeling towards either of his ex-wives.
He simply said: “I’m very lucky.”
The ‘Arbitrage’ actor and his wife are about to welcome a child into the world, but Richard has no worries about being an older father.
Asked if it was something that concerned him, he told the Sunday Times magazine: “Not at all. No.”
The couple have kept very tight-lipped on whether they are expecting a son or daughter.
Richard said: “Nobody knows because we haven’t told anybody.”
The ‘Officer and a Gentleman’ actor is full of praise for his “sensitive and sweet” son Homer, who he claimed is already “better” than him.
He said: “He’s very sweet, very sensitive, very smart. He’s smarter than me, stronger than me, faster than me, taller than me, better than me. He’s great. I love him.”

Rachel Weisz doesn’t stay in character between scenes

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Weisz no longer stays in character between scenes.
The ‘Favourite’ star – who has son Henry, 12, with ex boyfriend Darren Aronofsky and a five-month-old daughter with husband Daniel Craig – used to try and stay “focused” even when the cameras weren’t rolling, but as she’s got older, she’s learned to appreciate the importance of letting go.
She told OK! magazine: “I think when I started out, I tried to stay in character, whatever that would mean, or stay focused on the scene after the director said ‘cut’ – and I never do that now.
“For me now, it’s really important to ‘cut’ and then it’s gone and I just think about anything else but the fiction.”
While preparing for ‘The Favourite’, director Yorgos Lanthimos had Rachel and her co-stars Emma Stone, Olivia Colman, Nicholas Hoult and Joe Alwyn, doing a number of “ridiculous” things in order to feel comfortable with one another.
She revealed: “We did ridiculous things together for three weeks. It was the court of Queen Anne, so it was all the characters of the inner court – we spent three weeks playing games.
“And we were taken to the edge, the very edge, and then maybe pushed over the edge into the most ridiculous things that you could possibly do and be.
“Totally silly, like foolish, ridiculous, absurd. So that when we were on set, nothing could ever be as ridiculous again.”
The 48-year-old actress is proud that the movie offered so many “very complex” portrayals of women.
She said: “The thing we’ve heard a lot from people is how surprising it is that there’s a film where there are three women who are complicated, layered, powerful and not likeable.
“And it surprised me, sadly, that there have been very few films in the last decade that have not one or two but three very complex female roles.”

Rebel Wilson had toenails glued on

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebel Wilson had her toenails “glued” back on in between filming love scenes for ‘Isn’t It Romantic’.
The 38-year-old actress stars opposite Liam Hemsworth in the upcoming movie and she tried hard to conceal the pain she was in during their intimate moments after suffering an injury while shooting a stunt.
She said: “I just admitted to Liam this morning something very embarrassing that happened to me in the scene where Liam comes out of the shower and I’m in bed. Um, two of my toenails had come off because of a stunt earlier in the week, and in between takes, my makeuup artist was supergluing them back onto my foot because I then had to run out of the bed and jump on Liam, or whatever.”
Liam replied: “Did it hurt a lot? That must’ve really hurt…”
The 29-year-old actor recently tied the knot with Miley Cyrus so Rebel joked she was very “respectful” of his new wife when they had intimate scenes to film.
Speaking at ‘Build Series’ in New York City, she quipped: “Liam is such a gentleman, and obviously I respect Miley [Cyrus], like, a hundred [percent], so, you know, it was all PG-13.”
But the actress admitted it was a “brutal” filming experience because she is on screen so much and she tried her best not to make love scenes “awkward” by simply not thinking about them.
She said: “When we would film, we would film 16 hours a day, and it was kind of brutal, and I just had to keep going because I am in every scene of the movie.
“The scene where we’re making out in the hallway — awesome, that one — somebody said to me, ‘We only have three shirts for Liam,’ so we only had three takes. So then I was like, ‘OK, I’m going for it.’
“It is awkward if you think about it, but if you just go for it … obviously our movie was PG-13, so nothing full on was going to happen.”
And for Liam, he has learned to keep things “nice and light” between romantic scenes to stop things becoming uncomfortable.
He said: “It’s always good in-between takes to keep it nice and light, because it’s always — when you do a kissing scene with someone that you’ve been working with — now all of a sudden you have to make physical contact with their lips, that’s always a little nerve-wracking.
“You’re doing it in front of a lot of people, but it was really fun. We kept it light and fun.”

Gerard Way rules out My Chemical Romance reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Gerard Way has ruled out a My Chemical Romance reunion.
The ‘Teenagers’ rockers went their separate ways in 2013 and though they have been inundated with offers to get back together and the singer “misses” working with his bandmates, he’s admitted it is unlikely to happen.
He said: “We definitely get offers regularly to reunite – it’s a constant thing…It’s flattering, it’s really nice of people…I miss playing with the guys, but I don’t think so.”
When the group split, the 41-year-old singer claimed the band weren’t needed anymore because Barack Obama was in power and he admitted the changing political climate in the US made him consider a reunion, but ultimately decided against it because he is such a different person now.
He told the Guardian newspaper “That’s stuff I thought about when the world started to get super f***ed-up again…It definitely came into my head, but I’d changed so much as a person.
“I didn’t know how I’d fit into it any more, I didn’t know how the band would fit into it any more. But you’re right, the world is definitely in need of something positive.”
However, the ‘Na Na Na’ hitmaker doesn’t seem to have ruled out a reunion entirely as he also spoke of how he’d do things differently if the group got back together.
He said: “I think if we ever did MCR again, we wouldn’t be in that machine any more.
“It would literally just be like: ‘Here’s a new piece of music, we’re putting this out and that’s it, this is not up for debate.’ ”
Gerard admitted one of the reasons why the group split up was because they stopped having “fun” and felt under a lot of pressure while making their 2010 album ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’.
He said: “When things start to succeed and go really well…that’s when a lot of people start to have an opinion and that’s when you run into struggle…everybody had a f***ing opinion about what MCR should be. So it made it difficult to figure out what direction to take next. You get caught up in this trap of ‘Is it ever gonna be good enough?’
“It wasn’t fun to make stuff any more. I think breaking up the band broke us out of that machine.”

Ariana Grande’s comments ‘surprised’ Grammy producer

OHMYGOSSIP — Grammy Awards producer Ken Ehrlich was “surprised” when Ariana Grande accused him of “stifling” her creativity.
The 25-year-old singer pulled out of performing at the annual ceremony, which takes place at Los Angeles’ Staples Centre on Sunday (10.02.19), over a dispute with organisers about her song choice, and after the ‘7 Rings’ hitmaker recently spoke out to slam the producer for “lying” about her, he’s dismissed suggestions he isn’t “collaborative”.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “I saw those tweets and what she said. I guess it was a surprise.
“I will say this, and they don’t want me to say it but I’m going to say it: The thing that probably bothered me more than whatever else she said about me is when she said I’m not collaborative.
“The fact of the matter is — and I actually wrote a little thing in the middle of the night that I’m not going to do anything about, but, I mean. You can ask Christina Aguilera, who I asked to do ‘It’s a Man’s World’ for James Brown.
“You can ask Melissa Etheridge, who finished her cancer treatment and I put her out on stage, bald, doing Janis Joplin. You can ask Ricky Martin who overnight became the creator of the Latin music revolution.
“Ask Mary J. Blige, who was scared s**tless to go out there and do ‘No More Drama.’ I basically worked with her to mold it. Ask H.E.R. who’s in this show.”
Ken admitted he never spoke to Ariana directly but worked with her management team and insisted he usually “does not have this happen”.
He added: “I don’t know if I’m good at anything else, but I understand artists and I can hear other artists in an artist.
“I don’t say to people, ‘This is what you should do.’ I approach it casually and say, hey, this might be a good idea, let’s find something in the middle.”
Ariana took to Twitter a few days ago to share an interview with Ken, in which he claimed she couldn’t “pull something together” in enough time.
The ‘Thank U, Next’ singer then wrote on Twitter: mhmmm here it is ! ‘too late for her to pull something together……’
“i’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.
“i offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. not doing favors or playing games. it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me. (sic)”
Ariana is nominated for two awards at the prestigious music event – Best Pop Vocal Performance for ‘God Is a Woman’ and Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘Sweetener’ – and says that whilst she won’t be attending the ceremony, she’s still “grateful” to be nominated.
She wrote in two separate tweets: “passed a Grammy’s bus with my face on it typing those.
“hope that helps everyone understand my decision. i am still grateful for the acknowledgement this year. (sic)”

Anne Hathaway: I’m not the perfect parent

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway knows she isn’t the “perfect” parent.
The ‘Devil Wears Prada’ star welcomed son Jonathan into the world two years ago with her husband Adam Shulman and whilst she admits to “falling short” sometimes when it comes to motherhood, she refuses to “beat” herself up about it.
She said: “He’s so beautiful. I’m not perfect, but if I’m frustrated or distracted, I’m good at making sure he’s safe and walking away, calming down and then coming back to him. [It’s hard] telling that harsh voice to be quiet. I fall short every day, but I’m not going to beat myself up about it, I’m going to learn from it.”
And the 36-year-old actress is taking parenting tips from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and likes how they make their children “feel empowered”.
She explained: “They get down on the child’s level and speak to them eye to eye to make their child feel empowered. I thought that was really cool. I started doing that with Jonathan.”
The ‘Serenity’ star finds it really “hard” leaving her son.
She told The Sunday Times’ Style magazine: “Leaving him is hard. I don’t want to complain. I love what I do and I’m not ready to stop doing it. I was told that once I had kids, I wouldn’t care about my career any more. I was, like, ‘Nah.’ But I love something so much more now.”
Meanwhile, Anne previously insisted she refuses to let herself feel “mommy guilt”.
She said: “I try to be nice to myself. I’m not big on mommy guilt. I just don’t really do it unless I really, really, really, really, really need to.”
