Robbie Williams insists he ‘will’ return to X Factor despite changes

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams says he “will” return to ‘The X Factor’ despite drastic changes to the show.
The ‘Angels’ hitmaker joined the panel last year alongside his wife Ayda Field and their fellow newcomer Louis Tomlinson, and he has opened up on his future after reports the singing competition could be “axed” in its current form.
During an Instagram live session on Wednesday night (13.02.19), Robbie asked a fan if he should return as a judge this year.
When the follower said “yes”, he replied: “That’s it… it’s decided lads. And Ayda… that’s it. She is next door.
“I will go into there and tell her. I will say we should do it. We will do it.”
The video was deleted immediately from his page on the social media website, and follows reports regarding the future of Simon Cowell’s talent show.
A source said: “The decision has been made to drop X Factor in its current form. It has been 100% axed. The show is done.
“It’s being replaced by a show that’ll only be for celebrities. Members of the public won’t get to take part. So viewers won’t see new talent being discovered anymore. It’s the end of an era.”
Whilst changes are afoot for the format, it was expected that Robbie might make a return to the show this year, although there are fears his Las Vegas residency could cause a schedule conflict.
An insider previously added: “Producers were impressed with Robbie and Ayda last year and definitely want them back. But there’s a bit of a question mark currently over how auditions fit in with his Vegas residency.
“There’s talk of ripping up the schedule entirely to work around him. However, the problem is that if they do auditions in May that clashes with ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, which most of the crew also work on.
“If they push it back to July, then that puts serious pressure on producers to get all the stages of the show finished, so they’re stuck a bit at the moment.”

Ken Dodd’s £27.7m estate will be donated to charity

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Ken Dodd’s £27.7 million fortune will be donated to charities close to his heart.
The iconic entertainer sadly passed away in March 2018 aged 90, and his estate was left to his longtime partner Anne Jones.
However, the Liverpool Echo has revealed that Ken’s wife – who he was with for 40 years and married just two days before his death – will carry out his wish of using the money to benefit many local charities.
Lady Anne said: “Ken loved to make people laugh – it was his life, not just a job.
“He had no desire for the trappings of wealth and it was his wish that the majority of his estate will go to charities close to his heart, many of them local.
“As his wife, beneficiary of his estate, and also knowing the contents of the will he made some years ago, I will be able to honour his wishes.”
As well as the Ken Dodd Charitable Foundation – which the comedian founded several years before his death – the funds will also benefit the likes of St John The Evangelist’s church hall, which is just yards from his lifelong home.
She added: “While it is not a listed building it is in a conservation area and we need to work very closely with the appropriate authorities, and get their approval every step of the way.
“And it would be lovely if, when all the work has been done, it could bear Ken’s name.”
The ‘Diddy Men’ creator was born the son of a coal merchant in 1927 in the Liverpool suburb of Knotty Ash.
Ken began a career as a comedian in 1954, working in music halls, and achieved national fame and popularity by the 60s.
His recording of ‘Tears’, was the UK’s third-best-selling single back then, rivalling The Beatles, and he made it into the Guinness Book of Records for telling 1,500 jokes in three and a half hours.
The comic was a regular face on television throughout the 70s and 80s and became an OBE in 1982.
He received his knighthood in the New Year Honours in 2017.

“Define obsession, define normal, define love.”
The song will be released on Valentine’s Day (14.02.19).

After clicking on the link in his post, a screenshot from the video is shown, with animated versions of Katy – who is dating Orlando Bloom – and Zedd in a bed, with the caption “I’m feeling sexy” across the bottom of the image.
It was first reported that the pair were teaming up on a song after the chart-topping DJ – who has worked with the likes of Liam Payne, Alessia Cara and Maren Morris – revealed the pair had been in the studio whilst he’s supporting the ‘Part of Me’ hitmaker on the Australian and New Zealand leg of her ‘Witness World Tour’ last summer.
The ‘Middle’ hitmaker said at the time that he had no idea whether their song would make the final tracklisting of the pop star’s follow-up to 2017’s ‘Witness’.
The EDM star told Australian radio presenter Smallzy in a video interview: “I’m always relatively open about the fact that I make a lot of music with people.
“It doesn’t always come out, but we’ve been working. I always wanted to release a song with her, so if we all get lucky, then maybe we’ll finish the song and it will come out.”
The song follows Katy’s 2018 festive song ‘Cozy Little Christmas’.
It’s not know whether ‘365’ will be a standalone single or whether it will feature on the 34-year-old star’s sixth studio album.

Mac Miller exposes ‘personal demons’ on new Seth Hirsch track

OHMYGOSSIP — Mac Miller raps about his “personal demons” on a new track with Seth Hirsch.
The late rap star – who died of a drug overdose in September – posthumously appears on the track ‘Say Goodbye’, which Seth says offers a “window into Mac Miller’s soul”.
Mac raps: “Living with a heart that’s broken/ We know how that feel/ We always caught up in the moment/ And this ain’t no drill, one shot one kill/ Just pop one pill, you’ll be good by the morning.”
Seth’s perception of the track – and of Mac’s verse, in particular – has changed since the rapper’s death.
He shared: “The song’s about toxic relationships, and dealing with someone who’s s***ty towards [you], sucks up all your energy, and keeps taking advantage of your time and emotions.
“After Mac passed away, I realised this song was about a lot more than that.”
Seth thinks the record will give fans an insight into Mac’s pain prior to his death.
He told Complex: “It’s really about struggling to say goodbye to our personal demons and the chains they put on us. … This song is such a window into Mac Miller’s soul and what he was going through.”
The release of ‘Say Goodbye’ comes shortly after Ariana Grande expressed her anger that Mac didn’t win a Grammy Award at the recent awards bash.
Ariana – who began dating the late star in August 2016, before they split in early 2018 – tweeted “f**k” and “trash” when Cardi B won Best Rap Album for ‘Invasion of Privacy’.
However, Ariana subsequently insisted she hadn’t meant to shade the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker.
She wrote: “[The tweets had] nothing to do w [Cardi]. good for her. i promise. i’m sorry.
“She’s not [trash] at all and that’s not what i meant and u know that. (sic)”

Def Leppard announces new Las Vegas residency

OHMYGOSSIP — Def Leppard have announced a 2019 Las Vegas residency.
The ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ hitmakers will return to Sin City for 12 ‘Def Leppard Hits Vegas: The Sin City Residency’ shows at the Zappos Theater at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino between August 14 and September 7.
The new show follows their hugely popular 2013 ‘Viva Hysteria!’ residency at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, which saw the rock legends perform their seminal 1987 LP ‘Hysteria’ in full.
Frontman and casino lover Joe Elliott, 59, can’t wait to return to Vegas, and recalled being left open-mouthed seeing topless women on the streets when the band last played the gambling capital.
He told Billboard: “I love the city.
“It’s always been a bit of an eye-popping place to visit and the vibe is amazing.
“You see all sorts of stuff; I remember the last time we played there we turned up at about six in the morning and got to the hotel and there were literally naked chicks, G-strings and no top, jumping in and out of limousines.
“It was some kind of DJ party that just finished and they were all leaving and kind of forgot to put their clothes back on.
“We were like, ‘Good God, welcome to the morning …’ It was a very interesting thing. It didn’t happen much in Sheffield when I was growing up.”
The band – who will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year – are yet to decide what the show will feature.
Guitarist Vivian Campbell, 56, added: “We haven’t discussed that yet.
“From a creative point of show I don’t know what it’s gonna be.”
However, Joe says they won’t be doing ‘Hysteria’ in its entirety again after they headline Download Festival on June 14, in the UK, “unless we decide to do it again at 40 [years]”.
He added: “The thing with Vegas is you do have the psychological edge of being able to go, ‘Well, it’s Vegas, so we can do something a little different.
“So that will rear its head when we finally get together and discuss it.
“It’s pretty obvious that 75 percent of the set picks itself – it’s the other 25 percent that gets you the headlines and gets your hardcore fans burning down the Internet.
“So we’re in that exciting part where I know we’re going to do something, I just don’t know what it is.”
Tickets go on sale on February 22 via Ticketmaster.

St. Vincent slams ‘systemic sexism’ in the music business

OHMYGOSSIP — St. Vincent has slammed “systemic sexism” within the music industry.
The 36-year-old singer feels it’s important to have more women in positions of power within the business, if her long-term ambition of equality is to be realised.
She shared: “As all systems of power go, you need a seat at the table.
“If you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu. So it’s a question of having more women in positions of power to give people a chance who, for reasons of unfortunate systemic sexism in this case, have not had the opportunity.
“I’m on a coalition with Alicia Keys to encourage female songwriters and engineers.”
Despite her continued frustrations, the singer is optimistic that the tide is slowly turning.
She told Rolling Stone magazine: “I see the tide turning. Equality for all doesn’t mean ‘at the detriment of this person or that person,’ it means equality.”
The music star – whose real name is Annie Clark – considers herself fortunate to be in a position of power and influence.
She also explained that, unlike other people within the industry, she does not feel “threatened by other powerful women”.
She said: “From the directors of show to content to the people I employ on tour, I feel that I’m very lucky to be able to employ women, because I am a woman. And I’m not threatened by other powerful women.
“I encourage them and I also enjoy being surrounded by them.”

Rebel Wilson insisted on casting a gay actor for Isn’t It Romantic

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebel Wilson insisted on casting a gay actor as her best friend in ‘Isn’t It Romantic’.
The 38-year-old actress is producing and starring in the upcoming rom-com in which she plays love cyclic Natalie who lives out a romantic comedy after suffering a head injury, and in her new reality her neighbour Donny is her “gay sidekick, who’s setting gay rights back, like, a hundred years” – as she describes in a scene featured in the film’s trailer.
The ‘Pitch Perfect’ star explained that the comedy satirises the tropes in romantic films and it was “really important” to her to cast homosexual actor Brandon Scott Jones so it didn’t seem as though the film is “mocking a gay guy”.
Speaking to the LA Times, she said: “Being the producer of the film, it was really important to me that obviously, we cast an openly gay actor for the role of Donny so that the character could not in any way be construed as mocking a gay guy.”
The ‘Bridesmaids’ actress went on to explain that she feels as though the upcoming flick makes a “really clever comment” about how LGBTQ characters have been “marginalised” and given less complex characters over the years.
She said: “I think we make a really clever comment about how gay characters have been marginalised in the past few decades.”
The movie will star Liam Hemsworth as one of the male leads, Blake, and Rebel previously admitted she didn’t expect the actor to be “funny’ because he’s “so hot”.
She previously said: “Normally, people that are so hot like that aren’t that funny.
“Turns out, he’s just such a legend and the funniest guy, so it was a good move for me casting him.”

Kim Kardashian West: Not smiling is the key to wrinkle-free skin

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West thinks refusing to smile is the secret to her wrinkle-free skin.
The 38-year-old reality TV star has told fans they can keep their skin looking youthful by resisting the temptation to smile whilst posing for a photograph.
Asked how she avoids getting wrinkles, Kim – who has kids North, five, Saint, three, and 12-month-old Chicago – told fans at an event in Los Angeles: “Don’t Smile.”
Kim – who is married to rap star Kanye West – also admitted that her first pregnancy and the reaction to her weight gain prompted a change in her attitude.
She explained: “It changed my mood; it changed who I was; it changed my personality a lot. It changed the way I viewed wanting my picture taken.
“After I had the baby, I was like, these are the same people that made fun of me … I didn’t want to smile for them.”
The brunette beauty has also slammed rumours that she’s had a nose job.
Instead, Kim insisted that becoming a mother simply led her features to “come out”.
She said: “I never had my nose done.
“Pictures, I swear, I look at them and would be like, ‘Wow the bump looks so much bigger in some pictures than in others.’
“Everyone thought I [had a nose job], and I said wait until I have kids because your real features come out.”

Paris Hilton feels ‘flattered by style replicas’

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Hilton feels “flattered” when she sees “replicas” of her past outfits.
The 37-year-old star loves people using her as inspiration for their wardrobe choices – especially the silver mini-dress she donned for her 21st birthday, which has since been copied by Kendall Jenner and Blake Lively.
Paris told the New York Post newspaper: “As soon I put that dress on, I knew it was iconic.
“I’d never seen anything like it before, and it was so me. So to see so many people using it as inspiration is just the best. Even just on Instagram, I’ve seen so many replicas. And a lot of girls wore it for Halloween last year.
“Imitation is the highest form of flattery. I mean, it’s the ultimate birthday dress. Everybody should wear that dress on their birthday.”
The heiress-turned-mogul appeared at New York Fashion Week’s Alice + Olivia presentation at the Angel Orensanz Foundation on Monday (11.02.19), where she claimed to have always understood the importance of social media.
She explained: “As a businesswoman and a brand, I get it. I predicted this a long time ago.
“Yes, it’s changed things immensely, [but] I think it’s brought it to a whole other level. Right now, it’s what people want to do: they want to post things and have a beautiful backdrop.
“I’ve met so many young designers – all these teenagers – and I wear their things and always tag them, and they’ll say, ‘You changed my life, I got like a million orders from you.’ It’s really cool that people can use that platform in a positive way to build a brand.”

Duchess Catherine was naive

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Catherine was “very naive” when she first became a parent.
The 37-year-old royal – who has children Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three, and 10-month-old Prince Louis with husband Prince William – has grown to appreciate how “important” the early years are for shaping children’s futures.
Catherine met with a small group of professionals at a Mental Health in Education conference in London on Wednesday (13.02.19) to discuss the impact of consistent mental health training for teachers and the challenges of implementing it.
She told the group: “When I first started out – and I’ve learned a lot in a short period of time working with organisations – I was very naive myself as a parent of really just how important particularly the early years are for children’s futures.
“And how critical it is, everyone looking after children at a critical time, teachers, parents, and everyone who’s caring for them, how important it is that we get it right.
“I didn’t know what some of the issues that perhaps we take for granted here as experts know about, but it’s being able to translate it to those who don’t have the training in a way that the points come across clearly.”
Catherine was keen to find out if teachers were currently trained to monitor the mental health of their young people and admitted she felt many aspects of “child development” should also be supported at home.
She said: “I know from a parent’s perspective it’s certainly not discussed, the importance of childhood development, and I know that’s a different challenge. But also the importance of relationship building, empathy and resilience can also be taught and monitored at home as well.”
Shortly before she was due to leave, Catherine gathered her notes and made an “impromptu speech” about the importance of the early intervention of problems in young people’s lives.
She said: “I wasn’t planning on making a speech, but I wanted to say a few words on reflection.
“Over the last eight years, working with charities I’ve met some of our leading experts in mental health, addiction, family breakdown, homelessness and education.
“They have taught me over and over again that the root cause of so many of today’s social problems can be traced right back to the very earliest years of a person’s life and often over generations.
“What we have all been discussing here today really brings to light the vital role teachers are playing in supporting our youngest children’s mental health.
“No one of us, however, can make a difference alone.
“I feel so passionately about working together and being here today has affirmed to me just how much already is being done, so thank you to all of you who are prioritising the importance of mental health and the importance of childhood development as a whole.
“I look forward to hearing how your discussions will lead to proactive steps and to an evermore resounding commitment to mentally healthy schools, teachers and children.”

Cardi B and Offset bought homes together

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B and Offset bought two houses together in January – before they were officially back together.
The couple separated in December and though they were spotted together later that month, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker denied a number of times they had reconciled, most recently just a few weeks ago.
However, official records show that on January 18, the couple splashed out just over $100,000 on two modest properties in Georgia.
According to The Blast, the pair – who have seven-month-old daughter Kulture together – splashed out on a pair of three-bedroom, one bathroom- houses in Jonesboro, which cost $57,696 and $48,080 respectively.
Despite their denials about being back together, the couple have since made public the fact they have reconciled and Offset even joined Cardi on stage when she picked up the Best Rap Album accolade at the Grammy Awards over the weekend.
Cardi was visibly emotional as she took to the stage and paid tribute to her daughter and those who pushed her to complete the record during her pregnancy.
She said: “I want to thank my daughter. I’m not just saying thank you because she’s my daughter. It’s because, you know, when I found out I was pregnant, my album was not complete.
“I had like, three songs that I was for sure having — you know how it was. We was like, ‘We have to get this album done so I could shoot the videos while I’m still not showing. It was very long nights.”
Cardi also thanked a number of artists, including Chance the Rapper, Migos, and SZA for contributing to her success.
She grew tearful as she said: ” “I want to thank all the artists that took their time and their verses for my album.”
The rapper ended her speech by praising her husband.
She said: “He was like ‘you gonna have this baby, and you gonna make this album.’ ”
The 26-year-old star previously admitted she had turned down the Migos’ rapper’s request they attend marriage counselling.
She said: “I decided on my own. Nobody makes my decisions about my life but me.
“I didn’t want to go to marriage counselling. He suggested it, but it’s like, ‘I don’t want to go.’ There’s no counsellor or nothing that could make me change my mind.”

Jennifer Hudson wants private custody trial

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Hudson wants her custody battle to stay private.
The ‘Voice’ coach has filed a motion asking to ban the public from having access to “upcoming child-related legal proceedings” ahead of a trial that is due to take place between herself and former fiance David Otunga in connection to their nine-year-old son David Jr. next month.
According to The Blast, Jennifer filed the motion last month and the wrestler has asked for an extension to respond, insisting the 37-year-old singer will not be prejudiced by giving him more time to submit a response.
The trial is scheduled to take place in Chicago from March 11 and is expected to last for five days.
The former couple will testify and argue over who should pay support and who should get a greater share of custody of their son.
Last year, Jennifer filed for an emergency order of protection after accusing the WWE commentator of pushing her while holding David, and though it was granted by the court, the 37-year-old singer later dropped the petition altogether.
Both David – who denied pushing his former partner – and the ‘Dreamgirls’ star have filed a number of motions against each other, accusing one another of playing legal games.
At one point, Jennifer said she was worried David would kidnap their son, while he accused her of trying to defame him.
He argued she had made creative negative press about him her priority, rather than protecting their only child.
In court documents, David claimed Jennifer issued an exclusive statement to People about their split, saying her actions were “solely taken in the best interest of their son”, at the same time he was being served with an emergency order of protection.
He alleged the statement damaged his reputation and at the time it was released, he was being forcibly removed from their home in front of their son, and Jennifer wasn’t even there.
A court order is in place prohibiting the former couple from disseminating photos or making comments about their son, but the wrestling star previously claimed the ‘Spotlight’ singer had violated the order by giving an interview to an entertainment news show, which showed various photos of David Jr., and mentioned him by name throughout.

Mandy Moore felt speaking truth was ‘worth it’

OHMYGOSSIP — Mandy Moore insists it is always “worth” speaking out, even if the truth is “painful”.
The ‘This Is Us’ actress was one of seven women to have spoken out in a New York Times expose against her ex-husband Ryan Adams, who she claimed had emotionally abused her during their six-year-marriage.
And now Mandy has lent her support to other women who have experienced “trauma or abuse”.
She wrote on Instagram: “Speaking your truth can be painful and triggering but it’s always worth it. My heart is with all women who have suffered any sort of trauma or abuse. You are seen and heard. #sisterhoodforever.”
In the newspaper article, the 34-year-old star alleged the 44-year-old singer was “psychologically abusive” and belittled her singing talents.
She added: “Music was a point of control for him. He would always tell me, ‘You’re not a real musician, because you don’t play an instrument.’
“His controlling behaviour essentially did block my ability to make new connections in the industry during a very pivotal and potentially lucrative time – my entire mid-to-late 20s.”
However, Ryan’s lawyer told the publication that the allegations were “completely inconsistent with [Ryan’s] view of the relationship” and that he supported her “well-deserved professional success”.
Also among the women to accuse the ‘Wonderwall’ singer of abusive behaviour was ‘Ava’, a now 20-year-old bass player who alleged she struck up an online correspondence with the musician when she was just 13 and accused him of exposing himself over Skype video chats.
The pair first connected over music, as she was and up and coming bass player but their texts soon turned graphic. In one message, he had told her: “i would get in trouble if someone knew we talked like this (sic)”
Andrew B. Brettler, the star’s lawyer, said: “Mr. Adams unequivocally denies that he ever engaged in inappropriate online sexual communications with someone he knew was underage.”
Megan Butterworth, who Ryan was engaged to before she called off their romance in 2018, also accused him of being controlling and emotionally abusive.
And in a series of tweets posted after the New York Times newspaper article surfaced, Ryan apologised “to anyone he has ever hurt, however unintentionally”.
He wrote: “As someone who has always tried to spread joy through my music and my life, hearing that some people believe I caused them pain saddens me greatly. I am resolved to work to be the best man I can be. And I wish everyone compassion, understanding and healing. But the picture that this article paints is upsettingly inaccurate. Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false. I would never have inappropriate interactions with someone I thought was underage. Period. I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes. To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologise deeply and unreservedly.”

Keeley Hawes admits Traitors reaction to ‘aged face’ hurt

OHMYGOSSIP — Keeley Hawes was hurt that people mistook her natural face in ‘Traitors’ as one that had been ‘aged’ with make-up.
The 43-year-old actress stars as senior civil servant Priscilla Garrick in the upcoming Channel 4 thriller and thought it was “cruel” when she read that people thought she had donned wrinkly make-up to take on the dowdy role when actually it was just her normal look.
Keely told The Times newspaper: “I read somewhere that Keeley Hawes had this new look and she has put on ageing make-up.
“I was thinking to myself, “I don’t remember that. It is just me with no make-up at all.’ Which was a little bit cruel to read.”
The ‘Bodyguard’ star will appear in the slick new spy thriller alongside Emma Appleton and Luke Treadaway.
Set in 1945 as the Second World War is drawing to a close, ‘Traitors’ tells the story of how a young woman called Feef (Emma Appleton) is recruited to spy on her own government.
Keeley is delighted that her character Priscilla – who works in the Cabinet Office as Feef’s boss – is dedicated to promoting women’s rights in the workplace in post-war Britain.
She said: “Being a woman in such a male environment was hard and she is just brilliant at it. She says to Feef, ‘Do you think I don’t know how to do my hair? Being attractive is just not part of something we can do.’
“And it is so alien to us now, but women still against things like it in the age of Me Too, the way Feef is treated and Priscilla has to look and behave to have a career.
“People are more than their work and I loved that Priscilla was a member of the Gilbert and Sullivan society, but Priscilla and her colleagues are serious people and they are building everything back up.”
The six-part drama begins on Sunday 17th February at 9pm.
