Jennifer Lopez says she ‘doesn’t need’ to marry Alex Rodriguez yet

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez “doesn’t need” to marry Alex Rodriguez at the moment.
The 49-year-old singer-and-actress believes she and the retired baseball ace – who is father to 14-year-old Natasha and 10-year-old Ella from his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis – are living their “best years” together and don’t need to change anything in their lives.
J-Lo – who has twins Max and Emme, 10, with ex-husband Marc Anthony – said: “Among our children and work and all the wonderful things that happen, we are really living our best years.
“We are grateful for this and we do not need anything else at the moment. We have to do things at our own pace.”
The ‘Second Act’ star – who was also previously married to Ojani Noa and Cris Judd – admits having kids has changed the way she views marriage.
She told Closer magazine: “I think I’ve understood that marriage takes a lot more than just falling in love and sharing a home together.
“In my case, my first responsibility is my children and making sure as a mother that I’m creating the best possible home for them.
“That means you need someone who not only understands you, but understands children and is willing to love them as much as you do.
“But I’m hopeful of being able to spend the rest of my life with someone and being committed in that way to each other.”
After she split from Marc in 2011, Jennifer had to take time to reflect on herself and her life.
She explained: “I had waited a long time to have kids and then suddenly I had young twins and I was getting divorced from Marc.
“I had to do a lot of self-reflection about what I was going through, why I wasn’t happy in my life and what I needed to do about it.
“I also saw that I had to stop thinking that other people were responsible for my happiness.. It was up to me to rely on myself and love myself first in order to be able to be happy.
“That’s what I needed to do so I would feel more confident about myself, have faith in myself. That would enable me to be a more open person so that I would be able to meet someone and feel good about sharing my life with someone else.”

Rose Byrne open to adoption after making Instant Family

OHMYGOSSIP — Rose Byrne is open to adopting a child.
The 39-year-old actress stars alongside Mark Wahlberg in new comedy ‘Instant Family’, about a couple who find themselves in over their heads when they foster three children, and has admitted that her research for the movie “opened her eyes” to the prospect of giving a disadvantaged kid a home.
Speaking to IO Donna magazine, she said: “Working on this film opened my eyes, my heart, and my mind. I met families who have adopted, parents with biological children and foster children, boys raised in different families. I immediately realised that I was profoundly naive and not very informed about these things. Would I adopt boys without a family? The answer is yes.”
The ‘Troy’ star has two children, Rocco, three, and 15-month-old Rafa with her husband Bobby Cannavale and although she readily admits there can occasionally be chaos in her household she gets by with the help of her mother Jane, and her sisters Lucy and Alice.
She said: “I promise myself every morning, on time, to have everything under control and I can never do it. I always feel drowned. I’m the last person in the world able to give advice on how to raise children.
“However, slowly I am learning. Thank God you can always contact your mother, your sister and friends to ask how the hell they managed to manage everything. Apart from this small detail, being a mother is a wonderful thing.”
The ‘Bridesmaids’ actress went on to praise her mother for her help and insisted she was “immensely lucky” to have her support.
She said: “Mum is infinitely calm and patient. It was immensely lucky to have her beside me.”

Darren Criss marries Mia Swier

OHMYGOSSIP — Darren Criss has married his longtime girlfriend Mia Swier.
The ‘Glee’ alum and his 33-year-old partner – whom he has been dating for around eight years – have reportedly tied the knot in a ceremony in New Orleans, over a year after they got engaged.
According to People magazine, Darren, 32, and Mia said “I do” in front of family and friends, including several friends Darren made of the set of ‘Glee’, such as Lea Michele, John Stamos, Chord Overstreet and Harry Shum Jr.
The ‘Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’ actor announced his engagement to Mia back in January 2018, but later admitted they’d already been engaged for a little while before they made the social media post confirming it to the world.
At the time, he wrote on Instagram: “Mia and I have had seven and a half years of fun, wacky, wonderful, CRAZY adventures together. And I’m happy to announce that we’re kicking those adventures up a notch. We’re goin for it. To boldly go where neither of us have gone before. Engage. (sic)”
But fans may not see any wedding pictures any time soon, as Darren previously described himself as a “sentiment hoarder”, who doesn’t like to be too open about his personal life.
He said: “I’m so weird about talking about my personal life … Deep down, I’m a sentiment hoarder. If something is special to me I don’t want to share it with the rest of the world.”
Although the actor does wish he posted on social media more often.
He added: “One of my greatest curses, and this is a much deeper thing, is I wish I posted more. I’m not a very big social media person, I’m horrible at it. Mainly because I am too busy doing said interesting s**t and I think everything is interesting and funny, that if I was to take the time and post all that … I would never be observing said interesting fun s**t and I would always be on my phone.”

Delta Goodrem: Olivia Newton-John wrote to me when I had cancer

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Newton-John sent a letter to Delta Goodrem when she was diagnosed with cancer.
The 34-year-old singer and actress plays the ‘Grease’ star in the new Lifetime biopic ‘Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You’, but first met the 70-year-old star as a child when she spent a lot of time hanging around backstage at various events.
And when Delta was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2003 at the age of 18, she was surprised to receive a “beautiful letter” from Olivia, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer several years earlier in 1992.
Delta said: “She sent me a letter when I got diagnosed with cancer and she said beautiful words and told me that, ‘One day, you’ll see this is a gift and understand to give back and let people know you can be a tower of strength.’ So that was my next beautiful letter from her. Then we ended up writing songs together for her album and for her charity [so] that was the start of our friendship.”
The ‘Born To Try’ hitmaker even got a call from Sir Elton John on her first day of chemotherapy, who told her the whole of Britain hoped she got “better”.
She added: “I went from planes, trains and automobiles to my whole world [being] haematologists and oncologists. I began the fight. That’s life. I was surrounded by beautiful family and the whole country and we had special moments – I’ll never forget Elton John calling me on my first day of chemotherapy and saying, ‘On behalf of Britain, we hope you feel better.’ It was a pretty extraordinary time.”
Olivia, meanwhile, has since been diagnosed with breast cancer a further two times and is currently on the road to recovery following her third diagnosis, which Delta believes is “incredible”.
Speaking to People magazine, she said: “The fact that she’s, right now, on the road to recovery and she’s staying on schedule and she’s coming back with a book tour in March is incredible. She’s so positive and stands there as a warrior. That’s what I think you learn in the biopic, you realise that through everything that happens to her, she wants to make sure that other people remember to fight. There’s a reason for everybody knowing about what she goes through in music or anything so that she can bring good and make a difference in the world.”

Gemma Collins for early The Only Way Is Essex return?

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins could return to ‘The Only Way Is Essex’.
The 38-year-old reality star took a break from the ITVBe show – which she joined in 2011 during the programme’s second series – last year in order to focus on her spin-off show and take part in ‘Dancing on Ice’, but after being booted from the ice dancing competition last week, sources say she could be headed for an early return to ‘TOWIE’.
An insider said: “Gemma’s heart has always been with ‘TOWIE’ – it’s where she got her big break and she feels incredibly loyal to the show. She’d love to go back – she’s got so many friends in the cast – but it’s all about fitting it into her schedule.
But the blonde beauty might find it difficult to return to the show for the next series, because she no longer has the “normal” life she used to have.
The source added to The Sun Online: “She’s constantly busy and if she’s back on ‘TOWIE’, she wants to give it her all. The problem is that ‘TOWIE’ is all about the cast’s lives, and her life isn’t normal anymore.
“She can’t be in the Sugar Hut talking about how she’s working in her shop when her fans know she wasn’t, and instead she was shopping in Harrods with her ‘Dancing On Ice’ mates.
“But she loves the show, loves the team and wants to return next series.”
Gemma left ‘Dancing on Ice’ last week after losing out in the skate off to Ryan Sidebottom and Brandee Malto, but insisted she’d had “fun” on the show.
She said: “I’ve had fun. I’m have a bit of like intuition and I did say tonight’s my night and that’s why I’m just going to come out and have fun. I just want to bow out gracefully now. It’s time to let them all go on. I wish them all the best of luck; they work so hard.”

Strictly Come Dancing to recruit a royal?

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses are reportedly eyeing royals such as Zara Tindall and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, for the upcoming series.
The BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition is said to be keen to get a member of the royal family on board for the upcoming series which will air toward the end of the this year, and are looking at the likes of Duchess Sarah, Zara, and Zara’s husband Mike Tindall as possible candidates.
A source told The Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Strictly is a proper family show and hugely respected, so bosses think it wouldn’t be a problem for a royal to take to the dance floor.”
The speculation comes as Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and her daughter Lady Louise Windsor previously appeared in the audience of the show, whilst Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is known to be a fan.
However, a ‘Strictly’ spokesperson said: “We don’t comment on speculation and the line-up will be announced in due course.”
Meanwhile, it was previously claimed several of the show’s professional dancers are worried that new boss Sarah James will look to give the programme a makeover, especially following the departure of dancer Pasha Kovalev.
A source said: “Pasha’s surprise departure means a lot of the professionals are really worried. The dancers are wondering if the new show boss is going to start a mass cull and replace a lot of the current pros.
“They are messaging each other frantically as they try to work out what the plans are. Nobody saw Pasha leaving and the rumour mill has gone into overdrive, with everyone saying a few other names are going to be chopped – or at least announce it was their choice to leave the programme.
“Even Anton, who is almost part of the furniture, is worried he might not be asked back.”

KiKi Layne felt ‘spiritual connection’ to If Beale Street Could Talk

OHMYGOSSIP — KiKi Layne felt a “spiritual” connection to ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’.
The 27-year-old actress was instantly drawn to the character of pregnant Tish – whose boyfriend Fonny (Stephan James) is jailed for a crime he didn’t commit – when she first read the script and felt it was the role she had always been “waiting” for.
She said: “I literally said, ‘It’s me.’ I don’t know what it was about her. It was a very spiritual thing.
“I felt something on the inside, like, ‘That’s it.’ It was what I’d been waiting for.”
And as soon as she started working on the movie, which is directed by Barry Jenkins, Layne and the rest of the team on the project knew it would turn out to be something “special”.
She told Closer magazine: “We all knew we were working on something special. I had never seen a love story like that before: two dark-skinned people in love on screen. That definitely drew me into the story.
“[It offers] so many things that people can connect with. It’s interesting to hear what’s resonating.”
The actress has also had a positive reception for wearing her natural hair in the movie, admitting it has been “affecting people on a very personal level”.
Layne can next be seen in ‘Native Son’, which is based on Richard Wright’s 1940 novel, and while it was another “exciting” project, she’s not sure what will come next, though she’s determined to make “smart” choices.
She said: “It’s important to me what I follow these films up with.
“I’m going to be smart and I’m really going to take my time. I listen to my spirit when it comes to picking roles. If I don’t feel that thing on the inside, I’m not going to do it. So far, it’s led me down a great path.”

Kevin Smith confirms Jay and Silent Bob shoot date

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Smith has confirmed filming on the ‘Jay and Silent Bob’ reboot will begin this month.
The 48-year-old filmmaker rose to prominence after the 1994 movie ‘Clerks’ – which he wrote, directed, co-produced, and acted in as the character Silent Bob of stoner duo Jay and Silent Bob – and on Saturday (16.02.19), he revealed filming will begin on a reboot of the popular characters in just over a week.
Kevin – who suffered a near-fatal heart attack almost a year ago – wrote on social media: “I first posted about #JayAndSilentBobReboot on @instagram 2/9/17. It’s been 2 years and 1 week since that post, during which time I almost died. But a week from Monday, we finally start rolling on reboot. Never give up, kids. Even when your heart wants to (sic)”
His post comes over a month after he rang in the New Year by posting a picture of himself during a “pre-pre-production” meeting for the reboot.
He wrote at the time: “Spent the first day of 2019 having a #JayAndSilentBobReboot pre-pre-production meeting at our holiday-roomy @WeWork office! @JayMewes took this pic of me and @JordanMonsanto to both mark the moment and to document that we were the only dopes in Hollywood working on the holiday. (sic)”
After making their first appearance in ‘Clerks’, Jay and Silent Bob appeared in more of Kevin’s work, including ‘Mallrats’, ‘Chasing Amy’, ‘Dogma’, ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’, and 2006’s ‘Clerks 2’, where they made their final appearance.
The reboot was first discussed in 2017, but plans were halted after Kevin suffered a massive heart attack in late February, after which he claimed he would have died if he hadn’t gone to hospital for treatment and subsequently worked hard on a weight loss plan.
In October, Kevin revealed he’s managed to drop below 200 pounds for “the first time since High School.”
He said: “The scale said 198 today! This is the first time since High School that I’ve weighed under 200 pounds! Never… NEVER imagined I could get here again but a heart attack can be a great motivator. (sic)”

Gregory Porter stopped eating before shows to stop stage burps

OHMYGOSSIP — Gregory Porter had to stop eating before performances because he kept burping on stage.
The 47-year-old jazz singer doesn’t have many pre-show rituals or rules except ensuring he has an early mealtime before he is due to sing to avoid trapped wind exiting his gut as he’s holding his mic.
Porter introduced the self-imposed rule after a bad burping experience on stage which was caused by a fine dining experience before a concert in France.
Speaking on the Table Manners with Jessie Ware podcast, he said: “I do try not to eat right before a show, in France none of the kitchens are open from four, five, six, that’s when you need to eat because I like to have three hours before I go on stage.
“In France they were always feeding me at like 8 o’clock for an 8.30 show and it was just ridiculous, so my first few times in France I was like, ‘OK, I have to be respectful I have to eat this good food I don’t wanna waste this food.’ ”
The musician then explained that he would burp in the middle of songs such as ‘Hey Laura’.
He continued: “I was like this is craziness so I just stopped doing that. But other than that I don’t really have any rules I do milk and cheese I have a very light thing before I go on show so I don’t follow any of the rules.”
The ‘Liquid Spirit’ hitmaker went on to explain that he began cooking very early, and recalled handling hot oil with his nine-year-old sister at the age of six to cook crispy French fries.
He said: “Cooking for me, my putting my hands on even a knife and food really started early … I remember we used to handle the grease ourselves we put the grease ourselves; we put the grease, the oil into the pan ourselves.
“I was six years old, my sister was nine and very tall, yes there were other grown teenagers around us, but I remember dropping the French fries in the oil.
“Nothing happened but I think about it now, my son is five now would I let him cook in a year no, but I did it and I loved it.”

As of the time of writing, it’s not known exactly what they’re working on or when it will be released, but 44-year-old Natalie previously shared several snaps on Instagram in November which suggested new music was on the way soon.

“So lovely to reconnect with Eg. For those of you that don’t know… we wrote #Shiver together… and we wrote another great song today!

For Natalie, the music would mark her first release since 2015’s cover album ‘Male’, whilst Albert dropped his fourth solo album ‘Francis Trouble’ in March last year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Malin Andersson has been rushed to hospital.
The ‘Love Island’ star suffered tragedy last month when her and partner Tom Kemp’s daughter Consy tragically passed away just four weeks after she was born seven weeks prematurely, and it seems the star has been struck by bad luck once again as she was taken to hospital this weekend.
Posting a picture of her arm hooked up to a drip, she wrote on Instagram: “Greatest year ever. Not. When will it end (sic)”
Malin didn’t reveal what was wrong in her post, but her representative later said she became ill with a high fever and it is believed she could be suffering from a kidney infection.
A spokesperson told OK!: “Malin was taken to hospital in an ambulance this afternoon with an extremely high fever and is awaiting test results. Though it looks like she may have a kidney infection.”
The 25-year-old reality star laid her daughter to rest earlier this month, and took to social media to admit she was struggling to make “sense” of her tragic loss.
She wrote: “So tomorrow’s the day I bury my daughter and lay her to rest free from pain. I love you unconditionally baby girl. None of this makes sense. CONSY-GLORIA.”
Malin had previously used Instagram to announce her sad loss.

Keanu Reeves shocked by success of Bill + Ted’s Excellent Adventure

OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves can’t believe how well ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ has stood the test of time.
The 54-year-old actor starred as Ted in the 1989 fantasy comedy, and has said he loves getting the chance to “connect” with people who are fans of the movie, even three decades after it was released.
He said: “Time goes by quickly. Over the years it’s been really nice to connect with people who love those characters and those films, and it’s been fun to hear from fans who have become parents who have shown it to their kids. The ebullient spirit of [Bill and Ted], and the humour of the characters in the film, and the adventure they go on – I think it’s still funny.”
Keanu says he and Alex Winter – who played Bill – hit it off as friends on the day of their audition.
He added: “Everyone was auditioning for both roles. When I arrived at the location for the rehearsal I just met Alex – there was no one else there yet. We had some stuff in common – we both played bass – and just starting to talk. We hit it off. We have kind of similar humour and interests, and then when we were working together there was something else there that was cool.”
Whilst Alex said: “We realised we saw the characters the same way, and we could kind of riff as a symbiotic unit. Keanu and I [agreed], ‘They have to be human beings that we can play. It can’t just be caricatures and they can’t have a kind of a comedic aloofness to them. They have to genuinely care about the things that are happening to them. The way that Keanu and I played the characters was sort of a mix of hyper-real and totally sincere.”
And despite the movie being a cult classic, director Stephen Herek says it very nearly never made it to the big screen after suffering setbacks including the bankruptcy of it’s production company and a lengthy reshoot to completely change the ending.
Speaking in a group interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Stephen said: “We went through a very tumultuous time actually even getting it on the screen. There was a period of time where it wasn’t even going to be released. And then it’s even more gratifying that when it got released, it actually did well. And then the cherry on top is having a conversation with you 30 years later about it.”

Mike Posner stays silent to preserve voice

OHMYGOSSIP — Mike Posner sometimes stays silent for days to preserve his singing voice, only communicating via his phone.
The ‘I Took a Pill in Ibiza’ singer takes special care of his voice if he is touring or recording new material and will cease using the spoken word and will only text people even if he is with them in person.
He said: “I’m weird, some days if I’ve been singing a lot I won’t speak, I’ll take days where I’m silent. I’ll just write to people on my phone, just to save my voice, I’m always scared I’m going to lose it.”
Posner released his latest album ‘A Real Good Kid’ in January 2019 and many of the songs were written whilst he was living back at his family home in Detroit for two years so he could help care for his father who had been diagnosed with brain cancer.
Over a year later, in April 2018, Posner’s close friend Avicii took his own life at the age of 28, and the 31-year-old musician admits he was able to channel his feelings of sadness and grief into his writing to try and “find some beauty in all that suffering”.
Speaking on the Sodajerker On Songwriting podcast, he said: “It’s been an interesting couple of years, I was riding the wave of ‘I Took A Pill In Ibiza’, which was this big hit song and I’m parading around the world and then I get a call from my mom who says, ‘Dad’s got a tumour the size of a tangerine.’ So I fly home, I sell my house in LA and basically move back to Detroit in the house that I grew up to help out with the family and then my dad eventually passed away. I went back to LA, I had a relationship that ended and then my friend Avicii died, the album is about all those things and finding some beauty in all that suffering.
“When my dad was sick I would go in the basement, I’d get up really early and I’d practice for four hours before helping out with the family and stuff, for some reason I found it easier to be productive when I actually had more to do.”
Posner’s dad Jon died in January 2017 at the age of 73.

Oli Sykes ruptures vocal chords

OHMYGOSSIP — Oli Sykes has “ruptured” his vocal chords.
The 32-year-old frontman of rock band Bring Me The Horizon has taken to Twitter to reveal the band have been forced to cancel the remainder of their US tour, because he’s in “serious danger of doing permanent damage” to his voice if he doesn’t take a break to rest his vocal chords.
In a message posted on both his own Twitter, and the band’s official page, he wrote: “Hey everyone,
“I’m gutted to announce we have to cancel the remainder of our American tour. I’ve ruptured my right vocal chord, and I’ve been told if I don’t rest it immediately I’m in serious danger of doing permanent damage. I’ve been trying my best to fulfil our commitments as I really really hate letting you guys down, not to mention these shows have been literally the most fun ever – but at this point me singing would be the equivalent of a football running on a broken leg.. once again I’m so sorry, I hope you all understand.
“Oli (sic)”
The ‘Medicine’ hitmakers had two dates left on their US run – a show in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday (15.02.19), and one in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday (16.02.19).
However, Bring Me The Horizon are due to perform in London on Tuesday (19.02.19) at a special show for the charity War Child, and it is unknown at the time of writing whether or not they will be able to take to the stage at the event.
Meanwhile, Oli recently opened up about his past addiction to ketamine, which he sought treatment for in 2014.
He said: “It was a wake-up call. I’d surrounded myself by people in a really bad place. I was hearing voices in my head and that was scaring me. I felt I was going mad. I never wanted to go back there. I’m so glad I got through it and am here today, looking forward.”

Andrew Scott’s Fleabag role was a new challenge

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Scott says his character in ‘Fleabag’ is “uncharted territory” for him.
The 42-year-old actor is known for playing villainous roles such as Jim Moriarty in the hit BBC series ‘Sherlock’, and has said his new casting as a hunky priest in the upcoming second series of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s comedy-drama ‘Fleabag’ was a welcome change of pace.
He said: “This is uncharted territory for me, and that’s what I’m always looking for. It’s a character I’ve never got to play, and it’s such a big part of my life. Sex … I feel so grateful to [Phoebe] that she thought of me. The part develops in a really beautiful, brilliant way.”
Andrew previously worked with Phoebe – who created ‘Fleabag’ and also stars as the titular character – in the play ‘Roaring Trade’ a decade ago, and he says he was surprised when she offered him the part in her show.
He added: “We’d not seen each other for so long. But we had a natural chemistry then, and we still do.”
And the ‘Spectre’ actor admits he “loves” the way ‘Fleabag’ addresses the topic of sex in a “sex-positive” way.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, he said: “What I love about Fleabag is that it talks about sex in what Americans would call a very sex-positive way. It’s the thing that every single person in the world is interested in, whether they are sexual people or not.”
The actor isn’t sure why Phoebe cast him in the role, but in an email to the publication after Andrew’s interview, Phoebe herself admitted the casting was down to the way he has “the charisma of 10 people rolled into one”.
Phoebe wrote in her email: “It couldn’t have been anyone else. It wasn’t an easy ask – someone who could convince as a person who’s seemingly totally at peace, but at the same time has a promise of danger. He had to be a character that Fleabag couldn’t sum up and dismiss as easily as she has with so many others – so he had to be played by an actor who you can’t define. Andrew has the charisma of 10 people rolled into one.”

Winnie Harlow hopes to inspire would-be models

OHMYGOSSIP — Winnie Harlow hopes to inspire other women and men to “carve their space in the modelling industry”.
The 24-year-old model – who was diagnosed with the skin condition vitiligo at the age of four – hopes her success will encourage other people to follow their dreams.
Winnie – who will appear in the upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue – said: “I really hope that people who deal with all types of skin conditions, especially vitiligo, of course, can see that there’s absolutely no shame in showing off as much of our bodies and sexuality as we would like to, just like any other person can.
“And I hope that inspires more women, and men, to carve their space in the modelling industry and be proud of our bodies. I know in my heart that I will not the last model with vitiligo to be featured [in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue].
“We need to make sure that all bodies are celebrated and shown in a positive way – no matter what shape, condition, or colour it may be.”
Winnie cited Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks as two of her biggest inspirations.
She also suggested Kate Upton is the “most iconic SI model” in history.
Winnie told People: “Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks have been huge influences and even mentors of mine, especially as models of colour.
“They helped paved the way for our beauty to be celebrated. And of course, how can I forget the gorgeous Kate Upton, perhaps the most iconic SI model.”
