Kendall Jenner devastated to miss Stormi’s first birthday party

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner was devastated she couldn’t attend her niece Stormi’s first birthday party.
The 23-year-old model was eager to attend the bash staged by Kylie Jenner, Kendall’s younger sister, but a scheduling conflict meant she could only follow the special occasion via FaceTime.
Kendall shared: “I was so upset. It was supposed to happen on her actual birthday, I’m pretty sure on the first, and it rained and everything got postponed so it didn’t happen until I was out of town.
“Which was very unfortunate because I would’ve loved to go and it looked really amazing.”
Kendall said Kylie, 21, made every possible effort to make sure the party was an unforgettable event.
Speaking on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, the brunette beauty explained: “She really went all out.”
Despite not being there in person, Kendall was determined to keep in touch with her family.
She recalled: “My mom [Kris Jenner] FaceTimed me right before everyone got there. I was literally on FaceTime for, I’m not kidding, 45 minutes to an hour. It was so much stuff she had to show me. It was crazy.”
Meanwhile, Kendall – who is currently dating NBA star Ben Simmons – recently admitted she doesn’t like speaking publicly about her romances.
The model explained: “I don’t want to let the world have their opinion on something and let them fully into something if I don’t even know what’s gonna end up happening in the next couple months because it’s something I’m going to have to explain.
“The amount of times I see people together for a couple months and they’re together so hardcore and they show it and they flex it everywhere and a couple months later they break up or something happens.
“They have to explain themselves to everyone. I don’t want to do all of that unless I’m completely certain in a relationship or it’s been a while.”

Kelly Clarkson says John Legend is a ‘threat’ on The Voice

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Clarkson sees John Legend as her biggest “threat” on ‘The Voice’.
The 36-year-old pop star has admitted that John, 40, is a serious competitor on the upcoming season of the NBC show, which sees Kelly, John, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton compete as coaches.
Kelly confessed: “I’ve never been more terrified to be on this show with a coach than John Legend.
“He’s everyone’s threat, they don’t know it yet. He’s the threat.”
Adam, 39 – who recently performed during the Super Bowl halftime show with Maroon 5 – is also aware of John’s threat on the show.
Adam hailed the award-winning star, admitting he’s “incredibly talented and very charming”.
He told People: “John is a threat. I mean, John has like 4,000 awards and he’s incredibly talented and very charming.”
Meanwhile, Kelly previously admitted she’s turned into “a vampire” since becoming a mother.
The ‘Because of You’ hitmaker – who has a four-year-old daughter called River and a two-year-old son called Remington – revealed that since having her own kids, she’s realised she is “not a morning person”.
Kelly – who has been married to Brandon Blackstock since 2013 – said: “I’m not a morning person. I love the night. I am a vampire.”
The pop star also revealed that when she does have time to herself, she loves to take part in quilting – which is the process of sewing two or more layers of fabric together to make a thicker padded material.
Asked about her favourite hobby, Kelly shared: “I love putting on vinyl and having wine and quilting. It’s fun. I’m not great at it, but I like it.”

Ben Affleck admits sports conversation made him feel like a ‘bad father’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck felt like a “bad father” when he discussed sports with his six-year-old son.
The Oscar-winning star is immensely proud of his Boston roots and was excited to take his son to a Red Sox game baseball game – but was devastated to learn that Samuel prefers teams based in Los Angeles.
He shared: “I was telling my son, particularly, like, you know, ‘We’re really excited because we’re from Boston and this is a big deal and the Red Sox,’ and I’m giving him the whole history. And he listens to me and then he stops and he goes, ‘Dad, you’re from Boston. I’m from L.A.’
“I had, like, a full existential crisis. I failed. I’m a bad father. This is a disaster. I don’t know what to do.”
Ben, 46 – who also has kids Violet, 13, and Seraphina, 10, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner – remains passionate about his favourite sports teams, in spite of their lack of success.
He said on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’: “There’s a certain sort of tragic pain that carries with you as a person from Boston that you expect to imbue to your children that they’re going to carry on.
“Sort of like we suffer through the cold and the misery and we lose big sporting events.”
Ben and Jennifer finalised their divorce last year, but have subsequently remained close in order to co-parent their kids.
An insider previously explained: “They want to keep the communication healthy so that they can make decisions together in the best interest of their children. It’s been wonderful for Jen that Ben has been so present and involved.
“She wants to do this right and everyone is so incredibly proud of her for rising above the past and putting the kids first.”

John Legend: Grammy boycott won’t fix problems

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend doesn’t believe boycotting the Grammys fixes “the problem” of the Recording Academy’s attitude towards hip-hop.
The 40-year-old star acknowledged that there’s a lack of cohesion between the hip-hop community and the Academy – but he doesn’t think a boycott will lead to any kind of long-term solution.
Asked what he makes of artists like Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z and Kanye West deciding to boycott the ceremony, John explained: “Historically, the Academy’s had a problem with hip-hop [so] I understand the impulse to withdraw and not participate and say, ‘this is all bull***t’ but of course that doesn’t fix the problem.
“I would love for the solution to be that we, as younger artists, as artists in the hip-hop community, got more involved and make up a larger bloc of the votes, so the music we make gets its proper dues.
“But I also understand the reactions of people that say, you know, ‘screw it, I don’t want to show up.’ It’s a conundrum.”
John has been outspoken about various social and political issues over recent years, including gun control.
And the chart-topping singer – whose new song, ‘Preach’, was inspired by negative news in the US – hopes to see some meaningful changes.
He told the BBC: “Every time there’s a gun massacre in America, which is way too often, politicians come out and say, ‘We send our hopes and prayers to the victims and their families’ and then they don’t do anything about it.
“So the song is basically a rebuke of the people in power.
“If you look at any polls, there’s only a small minority that are against background checks, a small minority that are against other regulations.
“We’re looking at 80 or 90 percent approval on a lot of these provisions. So it really is the politicians who are lagging behind the people.”

Kim Zolciak-Biermann hopes her daughters resist plastic surgery temptation

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Zolciak-Biermann hopes her daughters resist the temptation to have plastic surgery.
The 40-year-old TV star – who has kids Brielle, 21, Ariana, 17, Kroy, seven, Kash, six, and five-year-olds Kaia and Kane – has undergone surgery herself, but is keen for her children to resist following suit.
She shared: “I’m very open with my children on that.
“I am not open to any plastic surgery on my girls at this time. I tell them, you know, when you’re done having kids and all that good stuff, worry about all that stuff later on down the road, if that’s what you want to do, but you guys are beautiful and so young.”
Kim – who originally rose to prominence on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ – feels the pressure young girls now face is “heartbreaking”.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Ariana, now, she’s lost, like, 30 lbs. She works out at the gym every day. She’s itty-bitty tiny. She’s really kind of come into her own.
“But at the time, a lot of her friends are on the smaller side … they’re, like, a size negative-zero, 99 percent of her friends, so to her, she’s like, ‘I’m fat, and I’m this…’ and it’s just hard, and it’s heartbreaking.
“People on Instagram, especially, are so f***ing rude about it that I have to monitor her page constantly because of the nasty comments, ‘You’re fat, you’ve always been fat…’ just horrible, mean, mean things.
“Now, they’re saying all she does is Photoshop her pictures, because she’s not that small. It’s a constant battle, and I always want my girls to love themselves, no matter what size they are.”

Charlize Theron: I was kissing myself at seven

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlize Theron “was making out with [herself] at seven”.
The Oscar-winning actress – who has recently been romantically linked to fellow Hollywood star Brad Pitt – revealed she mastered her kissing technique by smooching the inside of her elbow as a child.
She confessed: “I was making out with myself at seven, I made out with dolls and with myself in the mirror.”
The 43-year-old star – who has denied the rumours linking her to Brad, 55 – also joked that her childhood antics explain why she’s currently single.
Charlize – who has two adopted children, Jackson and August – told ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’: “It’s why I’m single.”
Despite being one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood, Charlize previously admitted she’s convinced she’ll get “fired” from every movie she works on.
The blonde beauty confessed to having some deep-rooted insecurities about her acting talents.
She said: “I still have this every single time I start a job, ‘I’m gonna get fired. They’re gonna find out I’m a terrible actor. This is gonna be the one. This is gonna be the job where they all find out I’m just a total lie.'”
However, Charlize thinks it’s important that female performers know their true value.
The ‘Tully’ star reflected: “We just need to not be so polite about it and say what we want? … The amount of traction and the amount of women who are being empowered by other women to step forward and actually speak their truth – I know in my life I’ve never seen anything like that.
“This is a rock rolling down a mountain really fast, and I’m quite enjoying watching it.”

Sir Patrick Stewart: The US and UK are united by collective frustration

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Patrick Stewart thinks the UK and the US are united by a collective feeling of frustration.
The 78-year-old actor – who is married to American singer Sunny Ozell – thinks British and American people share many of the same annoyances.
He explained: “What links the US – my wife is American – and us [in the UK] is that millions of people have not felt connected, have felt disenfranchised and are really having a tough time of it.”
Patrick believes a country is “only as good as its leaders” – and that the rise of President Donald Trump is linked to the public’s frustrations.
He told the BBC: “When someone comes along and says we’re going to change all that right away – which is not possible to do – it’s attractive because people do not feel represented or understood.
“Surely there are more important things than building a wall between Mexico and the US, surely there’s more important things to do than throwing business out of our country?
“A country is only as good as its leaders.”
Recently, Patrick revealed he’s in favour of 14 year olds getting the vote in the UK.
The acclaimed actor plays wizard Merlin in ‘The Kid Who Would Be King’ – which follows a young boy who finds King Arthur’s legendary sword Excalibur – and Patrick praised the movie for putting young people in a position of control.
He said: “We’ve had plenty of movies that have had children in. But I can’t think of one that puts them into such a position where they have to make their own decision and their own choices which will affect the whole nation.
“People are already saying 14 year olds should have the vote and I’m in favour of that.”

Ant McPartlin blasts Piers Morgan

OHMYGOSSIP — Furious Ant McPartlin has slammed Piers Morgan for questioning his National Television Awards win.
Piers questioned why 43-year-old Ant – who took a year out to focus on his sobriety – won the Best Presenter award alongside Declan Donnelly and Ant reportedly hit back with an angry email.
A source told the Daily Mirror: “Ant sent him an email saying he takes his recovery very seriously and he didn’t appreciate Piers belittling it by saying all he has done is walk the dog.
“Ant did work last year – he presented nearly the whole series of ‘Takeaway’ and all the audition shows of ‘BGT’.
“He then worked hard on his recovery. To suggest that all he did was walk the dog insults everyone who is in recovery or suffering from mental health issues. Ant pointed this all out to Piers.”
Following the win, ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter Piers lashed out at Ant live on air.
He fumed: “It’s like Ant and Dec always winning it even though Ant hasn’t worked for a year.
“It’s like ‘Come on! How did you get a nom?’ I’m sorry but how did that happen? “Dec? Sure he’s put a shift in, us? Hundreds of days at the coal face in the morning.
“Walking the dog for a year, television personality of the year. Me? Coal face every morning, hours on end, week after week…nothing, not a dickie bird.
“Imagine Britain, if that is a reasonable way to conduct the awards season business, seriously.”

She recalled: “I was walking to meet Adam and Liam for a rehearsal when we were shooting an outdoor Hamptons scene, and I slipped down a grass hill.
“I got a concussion and was rushed to the hospital for three hours, and then came back and filmed a 16-hour day. I thought, how ironic, not from doing one of the crazy stunts, but from the grass having a bit of dew on it.”
Speaking to People, Rebel added: “Two of my toenails came off because of the flats I was wearing.”
Meanwhile, Rebel recently admitted it’s a “challenge” dating in Los Angeles.
The actress thinks Hollywood’s beauty standards are “very unrealistic” and joked that she finds it easier to date elsewhere in the world.

Not to say the people in Atlanta aren’t good looking. But Hollywood’s beauty standards are very unrealistic.”
Rebel also revealed what she’s specifically looking for in a boyfriend.
She shared: “I’ve been so lucky to create this awesome life for myself that I want to find that person to share it with.

Lea Michele says planning her wedding with Glee co-star is ‘special’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lea Michele thinks planning her wedding with the help of her former ‘Glee’ co-star Darren Criss is “really special”.
The 32-year-old actress is engaged to Zandy Reich, but has been leaning on her long-time friend – who she’s currently touring alongside – for wedding advice.
Lea said: “If you would have told me during ‘Glee’ like, ‘Hey, in a couple years you guys are going to both be on a tour together, both getting engaged at the same time, both planning your weddings at the same time’ – it’s so special.”
Darren, 32, is engaged to Mia Swier, and he’s also been bouncing wedding ideas off his former co-star.
Speaking to People about her wedding preparations, Lea shared: “Just having someone that we can talk to and be like, ‘What are you doing for this?’ and ‘What are your thoughts on that?’ It was really special.
“But also as friends to be in this very important moment of our life together. [It’s] less about giving tips about planning, just sort of being able to look at someone that you love and be like, ‘Oh wow, you know what this feels like right now.'”
Lea – who became engaged in April 2018 – previously revealed that her red-carpet experience has helped to prepare her for her wedding day.
The brunette beauty explained: “I was fortunate that having dressed up for events for a very long time now, I do know what works for my body.
“I do know that I don’t look well in a form-fitted dress – my stomach has always been my trouble area so I always stay away from that. It doesn’t work for me. I also don’t look good in things with tons of material because I’m only 5’2.
“So I knew those things going into the process, which were incredibly helpful.”

Brothers arrested over alleged attack on Jussie Smollett

OHMYGOSSIP — Two brothers have been arrested in connection with the alleged attack on ‘Empire’ star Jussie Smollett.
The 36-year-old actor required hospital treatment after a suspected racist and homophobic attack last month, and Chicago police have confirmed that the brothers – who were previously treated as “potential suspects” – have now been arrested.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi explained that detectives investigating the incident had “probable cause that they may have been involved in an alleged crime”.
The actor has told police he was attacked on January 29 by two men, who he has accused of launching a racist and homophobic attack on him.
Jussie also discussed the incident on ‘Good Morning America’, saying it had all happened “so fast” while he was out getting food.
He recalled: “I went to the Subway, got my order.
“During that time I texted my manager, thinking that he was still in Australia … I said, ‘Call me when you can.’ He called me immediately and while he was on the phone, I heard as I was crossing the intersection, ‘Empire!’ And I don’t answer to ‘Empire’, my name ain’t ‘Empire’.
“And I didn’t answer, I kept walking, and then I heard, “f***ing ‘Empire’ n****r.’ So I turned around and I said, ‘What the f**k did you just say to me?’ And I see the attacker, masked, and he said, ‘This MAGA country, n****r,’ and he punched me right in the face. So I punched his ass back and then we started tussling
“There was a second person involved who was kicking me in my back and then it just stopped and they ran off.
“It happened so fast. It felt like minutes but it was probably 30 seconds.”
