Kendall Jenner doesn’t like to talk about her romances

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner doesn’t like speaking publicly about her relationships if they aren’t serious.
The 23-year-old model – who is said to be smitten with 22-year-old basketball player Ben Simmons – has explained that the reason she rarely discusses her romances is because she wouldn’t want to have to “explain” herself if she ever broke up with the person or it fizzled out as then she’d judged.
Speaking to her friend Hailey Baldwin – who recently got married to Justin Bieber – on Apple Music’s ZAZA WORLD RADIO, Kendall admitted: “I think that especially because of the lifestyle that I live everything is so magnified and everyone wants to know things, especially about your love life.
“A lot of the relationships that I’m in, I’m in it, and I’m in it with that one person and I’m a very loyal person once I’m fully in it.
“I don’t want to let the world have their opinion on something and let them fully into something if I don’t even know what’s gonna end up happening in the next couple months because it’s something I’m going to have to explain.
“The amount of times I see people together for a couple months and they’re together so hardcore and they show it and they flex it everywhere and a couple months later they break up or something happens. “They have to explain themselves to everyone. I don’t want to do all of that unless I’m completely certain in a relationship or it’s been a while.”
Kendall added that relationships should just be about the two people involved.
She said: “I’m in relationships for myself, for me and that other person, not for anybody else, so I don’t find the need to be flexing it like that.”
Kendall has previously been romantically linked to famous guys Harry Styles and A$AP Rocky.

Rita Simmons and Samantha Womack have held talks for projects away from EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Simons and Samantha Womack have had “a lot” of discussions about reuniting on screen.
The former ‘EastEnders’ co-stars – who played on-screen sisters Roxy and Ronnie Mitchell on the BBC soap – had a surprise reunion on ‘Loose Women’ this week and they revealed they have had talks about possible future projects.
Rita – who surprised Sam on the ITV panel show on Friday (15.02.19) – said: “It’s been two and a half years, and people still to this day as fresh as the day we died… it’s like we’ve just been killed. People never forget.
“So there’s been quite a lot of talk for stuff for us to do together, an we just wanna make sure that it’s the right thing. It’s so special, the chemistry we have.”
Her former cast mate added that while they have had “a few” ideas, nothing has leaped out at them yet as the right project.
She said: “We have talked about a few things, a couple of things have been offered but they’re a bit obvious.”
The 46-year-old actress admitted it might be difficult to make any kind of return after the siblings were killed off on New Year’s Day 2017 when they drowned in a pool.
Sam quipped: “You saw the body, so I think that makes it slightly harder. And it was so tough killing that character.”
She still reflects fondly on her time in Albert Square, and had high praise for Steve McFadden – who played on-screen cousin Phil Mitchell – and his skills at acting drunk on camera.
She said: “Actually, one of the best drunk actor’s I’ve ever seen [is Steve McFadden]. And not just because he does it so well but he does it in an environment when he’s got two seconds to prepare.
“He’s literally thrown from one set, on a golf buggy, you get driven round from another scene, and then you get literally spat out on the floor. ‘Right, now cry’ – and he does it.
“He looks unpredictable, and he looks broken when he’s drunk – and that’s a very cool thing.”

Hollyoaks: Sienna Blake ‘shocked and disgusted’ by Laurie Shelby kiss

OHMYGOSSIP — Sienna Blake is “shocked and disgusted” by her kiss with Laurie Shelby.
‘Hollyoaks’ star Anna Passey has opened up about her character’s smooch with Kyle Pryor’s alter ego and the row it sparks with his wife Sinead Shelby (Stephanie Davis) at the high school’s inspiration ball.
Anna told RadioTimes.com: “Shocked and disgusted. Sienna is trying so hard to not be intimidated by Laurie, but the kiss was a massive step too far, it made her feel very uncomfortable.”
Laurie intimidated Sienna before kissing her, and unbeknownst to Sinead, he manipulated the teacher into thinking she was to blame for them locking lips.
The storyline will see him twist the events to stop her telling their boss Sally St. Claire (Annie Wallace), before Sinead storms the stage at the school ball and dumps a bowl of punch over Sienna’s head.
Anna added: “Sienna feels trapped and doesn’t know what to do now he won’t stop it. She worries about causing a problem at school and of what people will think. She is afraid that no one will believe her.”
Anna is delighted the Channel 4 soap is taking the chance to shine a light on the important issue of workplace harassment, and unfaithfulness in a relationship.
Praising the team for the way it’s been handled, she said: “It is another big issue-led story that I hope will do some real good.
“The ultimate focus is harassment in the workplace and also within a marriage, it’s such a timely story and Hollyoaks are coming at it with a fresh angle. I’m really excited about it.”

Cillian Murphy joins 6 Music

OHMYGOSSIP — Cillian Murphy has joined BBC Radio 6 Music.
The ‘Peaky Blinders’ actor is “chuffed” to have been asked to take over Guy Garvey’s Sunday afternoon slot while the Elbow frontman works on the group’s new album and admitted it is an “honour” to be taking the reins of the show, which broadcasts from 204pm.
Cillian – who will front his first show on March 3 – said: “As a music lover, mixtape obsessive and long-time 6 Music fan I couldn’t be more chuffed to be asked to sit in for Guy on his hiatus.
“His show has been a constant companion for me and my family on Sunday afternoons for many years now, and it will be an honour to pick the tunes in that slot for a while. 6 Music is the best radio station in the world and I look forward to becoming a temporary houseguest!”
‘One Day Like This’ hitmaker Guy joked he’s worried he won’t have a job to come back to in the summer because he thinks the ‘Dark Knight’ actor is “a bit too good”.
He joked: “I am taking a couple of months off to concentrate on the final stages of Elbow’s next record. Murphy is a bit too good actually, I’ve heard him before and he knows his onions. I obviously have to watch my back, but he’s nowhere near as good looking as me so I’ll win on that front.”
Station chiefs are “delighted” to have signed up the 42-year-old actor.
Paul Rodgers, Head of 6 Music, said: “We’re delighted Cillian will be joining 6 Music for the next few months. His music selections are always interesting and I think listeners will love hearing him on 6 Music on Sunday afternoons.”
This isn’t the first time since Cillian has presented on the digital station.
In 2013, he fronted ‘The Sound of Cinema’ and had another one-off show in 2016, ‘Cillian Murphy’s 6 Music Playlist’.
Last year, he stood in for Iggy Pop for two weeks and also presented a special show over Christmas, in which he played his favourite songs from 2018 and the best of Irish musicians young and old.

Zawe Ashton almost quit acting before Velvet Buzzsaw

OHMYGOSSIP — Zawe Ashton nearly quit acting before she was cast in ‘Velvet Buzzsaw’
The 34-year-old actress is best known for her roles as Vod in Channel 4’s ‘Fresh Meat’, Katherine in ‘Not Safe for Work’ and most recently teacher Claire Pascal in polyamory TV drama ‘Wanderlust’ but she has admitted that before she was cast in the recently released Netflix horror film she thought about swapping careers.
In an interview with Variety, she said: “I wanted to quit acting and as soon as I decided that, the call for ‘Velvet Buzzsaw’ came through.”
The satirical horror, directed by Dan Gilroy, also stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo and Toni Collette – whom Zawe appeared with in Wanderlust – and centres on paintings by an unknown artist which after being discovered cause a supernatural force to enact revenge on those who have allowed their greed to get in the way of art.
Zawe – who plays Josephina in the film – explained that she wanted the role so much that she sent in her audition tape the morning after she had accidentally “chopped the top of her finger off”.
She explained: “The night before the self-tape, I chopped the top of my finger off. The next day, I was tired, mad, had a huge bandage on my finger while doing a scene with a cell phone I was having trouble holding. I watched it back and thought, ‘You look mad. Not pretending to be insane, you look like an actual insane person. And I think there’s something about that that’s going to work.’ ”
Director Gilroy, 59, praised the actress and insisted that of all the tapes they’d seen, Zawe’s was the only one which captured the “satirical element” to the script.
He added: “Of all the auditions we saw, Zawe’s was the only one that made us laugh. It’s not indicated in the script or the dialogue, but Zawe intuitively understood there was a satirical element to what was happening that imbued everything. She’s a tremendous actress who can write and direct and I can’t wait to see what she explores in the future.”

Marina announces two-part album

OHMYGOSSIP — Marina is releasing a two-part album.
The Welsh pop star – who has dropped her previous name Marina and the Diamonds – will release ‘Love + Fear’ on April 26 via Atlantic Records.
The extensive collection of songs features her huge hit with Clean Bandit, ‘Baby’, and the single ‘Handmade Heaven’.
The record – which is the singer’s first studio effort since 2015’s ‘Froot’ – is split into two eight-song collections, which represent what it is to feel united and empowered by love, with the second half touching on feelings fear and insecurity.
The 33-year-old musician – whose full name is Marina Lambrini Diamandis – also tackles gender inequality and the abuse of power on the emotive pop songs.
The record took two years to make and was recorded in London, Sweden and Los Angeles, with the finest songwriters and producers the music industry has to offer, including Noonie Bao, Sam De Jong, Oscar Görres, Camille Purcell, Justin Parker and Joe Janiak.
Marina has also announced a UK and North American tour in support of the album, including a show at London’s iconic Royal Albert on May 3.
Marina previously teased that her new music is “very different” from what her fans are used to production wise.
She said: “The production of this album is very different [to the other albums].”
Meanwhile, the ‘Hollywood’ singer admitted she found it a struggle to work on new music following the release of 2015’s ‘Froot’
Asked how the album was coming along, she said: “Really, really well. I’ve kind of been writing more than I ever have before which was unexpected because I thought I wasn’t going to do this any more for a while. I’m really excited to put something out soon because it’s been three years.”

Hollyoaks’ Kelle Bryan had an overwhelming first day on set

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelle Bryan had an on-screen kiss on her first day filming for ‘Hollyoaks’.
The soap star – who joined the cast of the Channel 4 show last year as Martine Deveraux – admitted she found it tough when she arrived on set and felt she was “thrown in at the deep end”.
Speaking to Inside Soap, she said: “Oh, that seems like such a long time ago! I was so nervous, and had an on-screen kiss with Karl Collins (Louis Loveday), who I hadn’t worked with before – so I was thrown in at the deep end.
“I felt a bit of a tourist, because everyone on the show knows each other and I was like a rabbit in the headlights. The studios are a maze too, so I was lost a lot.”
However, she was taken “under the wing” of co-star Jacqui Boatswain – who played Simone Loveday until her on-screen exit last month – and she has credited the actress with making her feel welcome.
Kelle added: “She’s left now, but it was Jacqui. She took me under her wing from day one, so we’re really close.
“Jacqui leaving was a loss for me personally and professionally, as doing scenes with her was always brilliant. We’d go out and watch shows together, and have sleepovers. We still speak all the time.”
Meanwhile, Kelle also admitted she only lets her children watch certain scenes from the show because she doesn’t think it’s suitable for the youngsters.
She revealed: “I don’t allow them to watch it – they’re only seven and five! I tape it sometimes so they can see my scenes. It’s bizarre for them, as people at school watch ‘Hollyoaks’ and the teachers talk about it to them.
“They do like watching some of it, though, and my son will want to have a conversation with me about the storylines. He’ll just ask me, ‘Why did she do that? Why is he doing that?’ and I can’t explain it as I don’t want to have these grown-up conversations.”

Dwayne Johnson spends Valentine’s Day with daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne Johnson flew from Los Angeles to Miami to spend Valentine’s Day (14.02.19) with his eldest daughter.
The ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ actor took to Instagram to share a picture of himself holding a single rose and having a meal for one on his private jet, as he returned home from his trip to see his “number one Valentine” Simone, 17 – whom he has with ex-spouse Dany Garcia – for the day.
The 46-year-old former wrestling champ – who also has three-year-old Jasmine and nine-month-old Tiana with his long-time partner Lauren Hashian – also recalled the time his romantic gesture got rejected by a girl he liked when he was a teenager.
He captioned the photo: “Laughin’ at the time back in high school when I got into a Valentine’s Day argument w/ my girlfriend and she so clearly told me where I could shove my roses.
Flew from LA to Miami so I could spend an awesome afternoon and lovely dinner with my #1 Valentine @simonegjohnson.
Little sleep but so well worth our invaluable and fun father/daughter time.
SO PROUD of her and that apple sure didn’t fall far from this tree.
Dropped her off, gave her a massive bear hug and back on the bird to get to work.
A special Valentines and now excuse me while I get crazy and bring new meaning to the term “mile high club” by goin’ to town on my chicken and pasta.
#fatherdaughter #grateful (sic)”
The ‘San Andreas’ star’s special father/daughter trip came after he admitted he cherishes every moment he gets to “snatch” with his youngest girls.
The ‘Rampage’ star shared a heart-warming picture of Tiana and Jasmine in his giant wrestler’s arms, and in an emotional message, he vowed to “protect” his little girls “for the rest” of his life and treasure them being small and willing enough to be held.
Alongside the festive snap of the three of them in front of their Christmas tree, he wrote: “Daddy’s arms.
“I ain’t gonna be able to hold ’em like this forever, so you better believe I snatch these cookies and love ’em up every moment I can.
“Plus, I know there’s gonna come a day where in daddy’s arms is the last place they want to be.
“Baby Tiana Gia is already there with the “help me” look on her face
“Can’t guarantee I’ll love and protect all my daughters for the rest of their lives, but I can guarantee I will for the rest of mine.

Bradley Cooper retires Jackson Maine’s gravely voice

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Cooper will be singing as himself at the Oscars – not his ‘A Star Is Born’ alter-ego Jackson Maine.
The 44-year-old actor and Lady Gaga – who played lovers Ally and Jackson in the musical blockbuster – will perform the Oscar-nominated song ‘Shallow’ at the ceremony at The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on February 24, but Cooper has admitted he won’t be able to use his gravely southern drool as it’s “gone”.
Appearing on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ on Thursday (14.02.19), he said: “He’s (Jackson) gone. I am not going to try and get him back.
“But I will be me singing.”
However, he is making sure he hits the notes by rehearsing with his vocal coach from the movie.
He said: “I’m going to start rehearsing with this great vocal coach who I love, Roger Love, who I worked with all the time on the movie.
“I hope to be in present and enjoy it and hopefully people love the song sung that night.”
The ‘Burn’ actor recently performed the song with the ‘Born This Way’ star at her Las Vegas residency show, but he pretended to act like a rock star because he “certainly isn’t” one.
He said: “The truth is as was revealed when I went on stage at Vegas, I had to create a character because that guy certainly isn’t a rock star.
“She asked me to come up on stage at her incredible residency that she is doing for two years that you should all go and see and the jazz show, which you’ve got to go see, one night she does which is amazing.
“So I went up there and watch the video back and we went up there and sang it and I just sort of look like this idiot from Philadelphia singing with Lady Gaga…
“Luckily I was on pitch and thank God, but I was like, ‘Oh, Jackson’s gone.'”
Cooper – who also directed the movie – admitted that the thing he was “most terrified” about was getting the accent right, and he stole aspects of his co-star Sam Elliott’s (Bobby) voice.
He said: “Part of when I was knowing I wanted to do this morning and wanting to sing everything live, I had to create these guys, and I am sure you’ve had them, but they are so idiosyncratic and iconic, they are like the rock stars.
“So one of the things I knew I wanted to do, was to lower my voice.
“But I didn’t want to make it too country and Sam Elliott is from Sacramento, but his mother was from Texas, so he has this accent that you can’t quite place, but it’s so wonderfully iconic.”
The ‘Limitless’ star said that he would go to sleep with a sore throat after practicing.
He said: “First of all I would do this warm up all the time … I don’t think I could. The first six months I could only do it like this (with his head down).
“I would go to sleep and my throat would hurt and I thought, well this is never going to happen.
“That is what I was most terrified of, this voice.”

Kendall shared: “I was so upset. It was supposed to happen on her actual birthday, I’m pretty sure on the first, and it rained and everything got postponed so it didn’t happen until I was out of town.
“Which was very unfortunate because I would’ve loved to go and it looked really amazing.”
Kendall said Kylie, 21, made every possible effort to make sure the party was an unforgettable event.

Kelly confessed: “I’ve never been more terrified to be on this show with a coach than John Legend.

Adam hailed the award-winning star, admitting he’s “incredibly talented and very charming”.
He told People: “John is a threat. I mean, John has like 4,000 awards and he’s incredibly talented and very charming.”

Asked about her favourite hobby, Kelly shared: “I love putting on vinyl and having wine and quilting. It’s fun. I’m not great at it, but I like it.”

Ben Affleck admits sports conversation made him feel like a ‘bad father’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck felt like a “bad father” when he discussed sports with his six-year-old son.
The Oscar-winning star is immensely proud of his Boston roots and was excited to take his son to a Red Sox game baseball game – but was devastated to learn that Samuel prefers teams based in Los Angeles.
He shared: “I was telling my son, particularly, like, you know, ‘We’re really excited because we’re from Boston and this is a big deal and the Red Sox,’ and I’m giving him the whole history. And he listens to me and then he stops and he goes, ‘Dad, you’re from Boston. I’m from L.A.’
“I had, like, a full existential crisis. I failed. I’m a bad father. This is a disaster. I don’t know what to do.”
Ben, 46 – who also has kids Violet, 13, and Seraphina, 10, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner – remains passionate about his favourite sports teams, in spite of their lack of success.
He said on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’: “There’s a certain sort of tragic pain that carries with you as a person from Boston that you expect to imbue to your children that they’re going to carry on.
“Sort of like we suffer through the cold and the misery and we lose big sporting events.”
Ben and Jennifer finalised their divorce last year, but have subsequently remained close in order to co-parent their kids.
An insider previously explained: “They want to keep the communication healthy so that they can make decisions together in the best interest of their children. It’s been wonderful for Jen that Ben has been so present and involved.
“She wants to do this right and everyone is so incredibly proud of her for rising above the past and putting the kids first.”

BBC Breakfast star Dan Walker is flooded with egg pictures every weekend

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘BBC Breakfast’ star Dan Walker gets bombarded with photos of breakfasts every weekend after launching an “egg club”.
The 41-year-old television presenter says his Twitter feed is filled with poached egg snaps after he claimed to know the way to make them perfectly.
Speaking on the Series Linked TV podcast, he explained: “It started as a stupid daft thing, I don’t know quite now how it developed but essentially somebody asked me for a cook book for a ‘perfect egg recipe’.
“And I told them I’d been perfecting it for years. It sort of involves me rolling the egg around in the shell in a shallow pan.
“Then, cracking it back into that shell and timing it for a specific amount of time. With no vinegar, no oil, no nothing. Then you get the perfect egg. And then I put this on twitter foolishly.”
The television star said after he then put the pictures on his social media page fans were desperate to be good enough cooks so that they could get into his “Egg Club.”
He added: “And then all of a sudden people started sending me their eggs, that they were cooking every Saturday and Sunday. And then I thought, I’ll just be a bit daft and say ‘No, no access to egg club, that’s rubbish, toast is over cooked’, or ‘too much butter’.
“And then people started angry that I wasn’t letting in Egg Club. And then, I let somebody in and it just sort of snowballed. And most weekends I get about 300 egg pictures sent to me, with people saying ‘Can I get into Egg Club?’.
“Someone’s even got a T-shirt that says the number. I think there’s 16 members of Egg Club. There’s a guy who looks after the members and he says there’s 16 members and they’ve got T-shirts.”

Alan Carr says Paul O’Grady will join RuPaul’s Drag Race UK as guest judge

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr says Paul O’Grady will be a guest judge on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’.
The ‘Chatty Man’ presenter – who will be a rotating resident judge on the show alongside talk show host Graham Norton – appeared to let slip with the news during a radio appearance, and he admitted none of the stars had told each other they were going to appear.
Speaking to Zoe Ball on the BBC Radio 2 ‘Breakfast Show’, he said: “I found out that Paul O’Grady’s a judge on it, and so is Graham Norton.
“But isn’t it funny – no-one said a word [to each other]. We’re all going, ‘Oh yes, did you hear they’re looking for judges on UK Drag Race?’ ‘Hmmm yes, I heard that.’ No-one said a word. All keeping it secret!”
However, he quickly took to social media and added he found out about Paul’s potential role on Twitter, before saying he hoped he hadn’t accidentally revealed the news too early.
He tweeted: “I saw it on Twitter!! (I know) Hope he’s doing it!! Oh God!! Have I put my foot in it?!!”
Paul started his career as drag queen Lily Savage, before going onto present mainstream shows like ‘Blankety Blank’, ‘For The Love of Dogs’ and his own daytime chat show.
Alan’s comments came after he and Graham were confirmed as resident judges for the BBC Three series.
He said: “Wow! To be sat next to Michelle Visage and Mama Ru as a guest judge on possibly one of my all-time favourite shows EVER is a dream come true. I can’t wait to see what the UK queens have got in store – it’s going to be sickening!”

Chaka Khan never knew Prince had pill addiction

OHMYGOSSIP — Chaka Khan never had any “indication” that Prince had an addiction to prescription pain medication.
The Queen of Funk – whose biggest hit ‘I Feel For You’ was written by the late pop legend – has revealed that finding out the ‘Purple Rain’ singer had died from an opioid overdose in April 2016 at the age of 57 came as a complete shock to her, because other than some occasional drug experimentation he lived a pretty clean life, only even drinking alcohol on rare occasions.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, she said: “I never, ever got any indication that he was on pills. I knew he was doing certain things, I knew he had a couple of bouts with acid and all that. That’s OK. A one-off here and there, you got the money, you ain’t working. You like acid – go do it. But he was totally against drinking; he’d drink red wine occasionally, not a lot. He starved himself – he wouldn’t eat unless it was this or that; he was very particular. What comes to mind is someone who was very health conscious as opposed to… Secrets kill. Secrets kill, and if he hid from me for so many years where he was really at, and I was like his confidante in many ways, you know, it’s hard to keep a secret like that from me. So I learned a lot, you know. I just said, ‘I better go check myself.’ And I’m alive maybe because he’s dead. I went to a doctor and I said, ‘Here’s the deal’, and he told me there are certain pains you’ve just got to live with, that’s part of life.”
The ‘Ain’t Nobody’ songstress struggled with her own addictions to cocaine, heroin and alcohol but she believes something that helped her overcome the potential damage of those substances was that she would live a very healthy lifestyle when she got clean.
She added: “All through the 80s, I knew when to abstain, I really did. I had lines of demarcation in my life, and I practised them. And, also, I was very aware of my health; that was important to me. When I was with the [Black] Panthers, my girlfriends and I were all into breaking our own bread, taking our herbs, fasting one week out of every month.
“So there were certain other habits I got that I never did stop. It was the healthy living that brought me through drugs alive, I’m sure of it. I would get massively f**ed-up for a couple of weeks and then I’d take, like, a herbal shut-down where I’d stop and just go on plants. So that helped me a lot.”
