Coleen Rooney ‘wants to star in I’m A Celebrity or Strictly Come Dancing’

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Rooney reportedly wants to star in ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ or ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 32-year-old product endorser – who is the wife of soccer star Wayne Rooney – is said to be a long-time fan of the popular TV shows and is keen to test herself on either of them.
A source explained: “Coleen has her sights set on big TV shows like ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and ‘I’m A Celeb’.”
Coleen – who has kids Kai, nine, Klay, five, Kit, three, and 12-month-old Cass with Wayne – previously starred in ‘Coleen’s Real Women’ for ITV.
The show saw Coleen help to identify women who had the potential to front advertising campaigns for major brands.
Coleen has been linked to ‘Strictly’ before, with a source previously saying that one of her pregnancies meant she had to postpone her plans.
Speaking in 2018, an insider explained: “Coleen deferred her place last year after falling pregnant but has the option of taking it up this year – and talks have begun to make that happen.”
Coleen’s potential signing was also said to have intrigued the ‘Strictly’ producers.
The source added: “This would be one of ‘Strictly’s biggest signings ever. And it would be a ratings sensation.
“Producers know that they will need to pull out all the stops to land Coleen. But they have been told she is interested.”

Kyle Pryor opens up on ‘traumatic’ situation between Laurie and Sinead Shelby

OHMYGOSSIP — Kyle Pryor has promised “a lot of tension” between Laurie and Sinead Shelby after their unsettling kiss.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ star has opened up about his character becoming forceful with his on-screen wife – played by Stephanie Davis – during Monday’s (18.02.19) first look screening on E4, which left her with a bruise on her wrist in shocking scenes.
Kyle told Digital Spy: “It’s a traumatic situation for Sinead. But to a certain degree, it’s a grey area where Sinead doesn’t know whether that was a one-off or not, or whether it will happen again.
“It’s a terrible act, but you don’t really know at this point whether it’s something that is going to continue.
“There is a lot of tension after it, but it’s unclear as to what exactly happened in that situation – and whether it’s something that Laurie has a history of doing.”
In tonight’s episode, Sinead will show Laurie – who she has accused of having an affair with Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) – the bruise and tell him how he hurt her, but her husband acts shocked.
The latest development comes after Kyle previously admitted Laurie is enjoying Sinead’s jealousy regarding the time he spends with Sienna.
He recently said: “It’s something that Laurie does enjoy. Again, it’s a power struggle and he enjoys being in control.
“There’s a lot of gaslighting and emotional and psychological manipulation that’s occurring here. Anytime Sinead is jealous, he will act aggressively.”
‘Hollyoaks’ airs weeknights on Channel 4 at 6.30pm, with first look screenings broadcast at 7pm on E4.

Fern Britton was sexually assaulted in a lift

OHMYGOSSIP — Fern Britton was sexually assaulted by a man in a lift following a showbiz interview.
The 61-year-old TV star – who previously presented shows such as ‘Ready Steady Cook’ and ‘This Morning ‘ – has revealed the assault took place whilst she was working for Television South, saying the unnamed man started kissing her after she’d interviewed him.
Recalling the incident, Fern told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I remember doing a television show when I worked for TVS. I was in a lift with a man I’d just interviewed.
“He suddenly jumped me and started snogging me. I asked him what on earth he thought he was doing. But it didn’t seem to shame him into stopping.”
Although Fern acknowledges the “pendulum [is] beginning to swing back in the other direction”, she’s also insisted “the most privileged person on the planet is still the white male”.
The TV presenter has, therefore, argued that more needs to be done in order to combat sexual abuse and harassment.
Fern – who worked for Television South in the late 1980s and early 1990s – explained: “The fact remains the most privileged person on the planet is still the white male.
“But unless they can feel as uncomfortable as single women do walking home at night in the dark or getting into a taxi alone, there’s always going to be that gap in understanding.
“Is the pendulum beginning to swing back in the other direction? Yes, it is. But there’s still a long way to go.”

Nicky Campbell says adoption left him with ‘nagging sense of rejection’

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicky Campbell admits being adopted has left him with a “nagging sense of rejection”.
The 57-year-old TV presenter was adopted by Scottish couple Frank and Sheila Campbell when he was just four days old, and in spite of his happy childhood, Nicky has always harboured a feeling of having been rejected.
He shared: “I understand, no matter how happy your adoption is, that nagging sense of rejection that many adopted people get.
“It’s important to bring those feelings to it and it’s not a conscious decision to bring them or not, I think it just happens.”
Nicky reflected on his upbringing whilst working on ‘Long Lost Family: Born Without A Trace’ for ITV.
And the presenter has admitted to being overcome with emotions during certain stages of the production.
He confessed: “It’s really difficult because we get wrapped up in the emotions; you get to know somebody and you kind of go with them on it. I’ve had my moments.”
Meanwhile, Nicky previously admitted that his adoption left him with lingering doubts and questions about himself.
He explained: “Mum and Dad had told me I was adopted from as far back as I can remember, so there was no awful discovery lurking in adolescence or early adulthood, as all too often happens.
“But even though I knew all along, in the back of my mind there were always questions. I had a lingering feeling of incompleteness and an aching need for answers.”

James Cameron spills that argument will be key to Avatar 2

OHMYGOSSIP — James Cameron has revealed the first ‘Avatar’ sequel takes place years after the original movie.
The 64-year-old director has detailed a scene in the upcoming sci-fi film which is set at least eight years after the first sci-fi blockbuster, which takes place on alien moon Pandora in 2154, and sees characters Jake Sully and Neytiri have a “three-page argument” which is viewed from the perspective of their eight-year-old daughter, a sequence which is “critical” to the next film’s plot.
Speaking on Empire’s ‘Avatar Podumentary’, Cameron said: “There’s a three-page argument scene between Jake and Neytiri, a marital dispute, very, very critical to the storyline. I wound up shooting it all from the point of view of the eight-year-old hiding under the structure and peeking in.”
The first movie focuses on the human led Resources Development Administration (RDA) attempting to mine Pandora for unobtanium, a hugely valuable mineral.
The moon is inhabited by indigenous aliens the Na’vi, beings who appear primitive but are highly evolved, and as the planet’s environment is poisonous to human beings, human/Na’vi hybrids called Avatars must link to human minds to allow for free movement on the planet.
Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), a paralysed former marine becomes mobile again through one such Avatar and falls in love with a Na’vi woman (Zoe Saldana), however, he is drawn into a battle for the survival of her world when the RDA threaten to destroy it.
The ‘Titanic’ director went on to explain that Sam’s character will be facing an “emotional rollercoaster” across the forthcoming films, the first of which will be released in 2020, followed by the other three in 20121, 2024 and 2025.
He said: “Having gone through the experience with [Sam] on Avatar, I now knew how to write the Jake character going forward across the emotional rollercoaster of the next four movies. It’s been tough on him. He’s done two pictures back to back now, because we did 2 and 3 together. He had to go to some dark places.”
Cameron added that although certain performance-capture elements are complete, live-action scenes are now about to start production and will take little longer.
He said: “That pesky little live-action component is going to cost me five months of my life, across the two movies.”

He then added: “I couldn’t sing before this movie and so, in terms of being able to sing in front of people, it’s very nerve wracking.
“It’s not easy what they do. We worked tirelessly [to prepare for the movie]. So I called him [his voice coach Roger Love] and said I’m back in Los Angeles on the 15th of February and hopefully I can do it!”

Meghan’s stylist Jessica Mulroney has been co-ordinating the event, which will take place at an exclusive Upper East Side hotel and they will be joined by 15 of her closest friends.

Other famous faces expected to be on the guest list includes Priyanka Chopra, Amal Clooney and Serena Williams.

Lil Xan’s girlfriend is five weeks pregnant

OHMYGOSSIP — Lil Xan’s girlfriend is only five weeks pregnant.
The rapper’s beau Annie Smith is expecting the couple’s first child but they shunned the traditional 12 week mark because they were so “excited” about their new arrival.
Xan cried tears of joy when he found out Annie was expecting, via a home pregnancy test, and they couldn’t help but share it online over the weekend.
According to TMZ, the couple are hoping for a baby boy after trying to get pregnant for a while.
The ‘Watch Me Fall’ musician took to Instagram on Sunday to share the couple’s happy news and thanked his partner for “saving him” after his very public battle with a Xanax addiction, which saw him enter rehab last November.
Alongside a photograph of the pair hugging, he wrote: “i wanted to wait but i just can’t leave my fans in the dark,it’s official im going to be a father i love you guys so much and hope you stay along for this crazy journey and i’ve never felt more happy in my life all of you are invited to the gender reveal party i promise ! Sir Ian McKellen’s greatest regret

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Ian McKellen says it is the “greatest regret” of his life that he didn’t tell his parents he is gay.
The ‘Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring’ star didn’t come out as gay until he was 48-years-old and he woefully regrets not telling his mum and dad about his sexuality.
He said: “It’s the greatest regret of my life that I didn’t tell them. My mother died when I was 12 and my father when I was 24, so I didn’t talk to either of them about it.”
And the 79-year-old star has urged actors who are worried about revealing their sexuality to just do it as he doesn’t see the point in “living a lie” for the sake of their career.
Speaking on David Tennant Does A Podcast, he added: “I feel sorry for them. I know they’d be happier if they did  … What’s so important about acting that you’d live a lie? How could being successful as an actor be compensation for that?”
Meanwhile, Ian previously defended his decision to keep his sexuality away from his parents, Denis and Margery, although he thinks they would have accepted that he was a gay man.
He shared: “What my parents believed in was a Christian view of the world, a non-conformist view of the world in which people cared about each other, whether they knew them or not. They believed that people should always be treated with respect and sympathy, which is why I think if I had come out to my parents it might’ve been a surprise and a shock to them, but they would have accepted it. That’s what I like to think.”

Richard E Grant says it is ‘foolish’ to prepare Oscars speech

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard E Grant feels it would be “foolish” for him to have an Oscars speech prepared.
The 61-year-old actor is up for Best Supporting Actor at this year’s Academy Award ceremony for his role in ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’, but he insisted that he hasn’t written an acceptance speech as he’s convinced fellow nominee Mahershala Ali is a sure thing to win the prize for his performance in ‘Green Book’.
In an interview with Variety, he said: “I happen to be in a category this year and Mahershala Ali has won absolutely every big award. And as sure as I am talking to you right now, he will win on Sunday.
“The big four – SAG, Golden Globes, Critics Choice, and Oscars – Mahershala [Ali] has so clearly won those without any doubt that it’s in some way, it makes it easier.
“The other four nominees, we’ve shared this with each other, you know who is going to win so essentially you enjoy it for the ride it offers. The nerve-wracking thinking — ‘Gee could you or will you win?’ Is taken out of the equation.”
When asked whether he had a speech prepared for the event being held on February 24 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the ‘Withnail and I’ star added: “Most certainly not. That would be foolish.
“The man that has to have the speech planned is the man who has had to come up with four different speeches for the four different awards that he’s already won. He’s the one with the duty of coming up with saying something new, not the other four nominees.”
The ‘Star Wars: Episode XI’ actor went on to explain that he’s certain it won’t be him taking home the prize as the “law of averages” wouldn’t allow it.
He said: “The law of averages, if you don’t think so yourself, the bookies, the internet, Google alerts, the world tells you. It just wouldn’t happen.”

Kym Marsh was bullied at school

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh was bullied at school because of her acting dreams.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star has admitted she was picked on by other children when she was younger because she “wasn’t like” the others, and she revealed it was an “awful” period of her life.
Opening up in her OK! Magazine column, she wrote: “I was bullied at school because I wasn’t like everyone else and was focused on becoming a performer.
“It was an awful time and I have zero tolerance for bullying in any form.”
Her comments come after ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Nikki Sanderson opened up about her own experiences, which saw her physically assaulted as a teenager when she starred in ‘Corrie’.
She revealed how cruel bullies “punched” and “kicked” her, as well as setting her hair on fire, and verbal abuse.
Kym said: “It’s absolutely awful that happened to her and it sounds like pure jealousy from other young people.
“Your teens are a time when you’re finding out who you are and because of the job she did, she was being ridiculed and abused.
“It must’ve been so hard to cope with, along with school work and exams.”
Last week, Nikki, now 34, candidly spoke about her experiences when she first appeared on the cobbles at the age of 15.
She said: “It was before social media so I used to get it in the street instead. It was when I first started at ‘Corrie’.
“It was all different types of things. I had my hair set on fire, I’ve been punched, kicked, pushed over, had drinks thrown over me, and been called every name under the sun.”
Despite the cruel bullies, Nikki has praised her cast mates at the soap’s crew for supporting her.
She added: “I have to say that everyone at ‘Coronation Street’ and all the people around me were just so wonderful and supportive, which I’m truly grateful for.”

Shane Richie wants EastEnders return for Alfie Moon

OHMYGOSSIP — Shane Richie hopes Alfie Moon will return to Walford.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor – who is currently starring as drag queen Loco Chanelle in the West End production of ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ – last appeared on the soap on Christmas Day (25.12.18) when his character was pushed down the stairs in the Slaters’ house and left for dead, only for him to leave when nobody was looking, taking baby Cherry with him.
Opening up about a mysterious text Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) received – which she believes to be from Alfie – he told ITV’s ‘This Morning’: “I’d like [it] it is me that said ‘Kat, keep the faith’, and Alfie’s on the run with Phil Mitchell’s £50,000.
“So they’ve left the door open, and I know Kate Oates who’s there now is a wonderful executive producer. She’s bringing in some wonderful new character and great storylines, and I hope there’s a chance for Alfie to come back one day.”
His comments come after the BBC soap’s boss Kate admitted there were a lot of options for the show’s direction and how Alfie will play into it.
She said last year: “I’m excited about moving Kat on with refreshing dynamics. I feel that is really important. But with Kat and Alfie they will always have that [bond] and if you wanted to bring it back to that you absolutely could.
“I’m also interested in refreshing it and doing different things. I’ll go with anything.”
She also revealed she would be happy to work with Shane again after how well he did with his return over Christmas.
She added: “Shane has created such an icon in Alfie that you never know. You don’t come back at Christmas for nothing, he did really well with that.
“I would work with Shane again, he’s Alfie, he’s awesome. At the moment his storyline, he’s got a good one.”

Alison King doesn’t think Carla considered Roy’s ‘strong principles’

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison King doesn’t think Carla Connor took Roy Cropper’s feelings into account by covering up his role in the boat fire.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress has opened up about her character’s decision to try and help David Neilson’s alter ego by hiding the fact that he accidentally sparked the blaze by knocking over a lamp while he was sleepwalking, which led to the flames consuming her ex Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) vessel.
Speaking to Inside Soap, she said: “She hasn’t really allowed for Roy’s strong principles – she just swept in and made the decision for him.
“I think she expected him to be mortified when she found out he’d set alight Peter’s boat, but she didn’t anticipate him being angry with her!”
Another of Peter’s former flames Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) found herself a suspect – before it was discovered she had a solid alibi – but Alison insisted it wasn’t “premeditated” by Carla.
She added: “That wasn’t premeditated on Carla’s part. It was just if people were suspecting Abi, they wouldn’t be looking at Roy. She was desperate to protect him, and she’s not trying to stop Peter and Abi making a go of it.”
Meanwhile, Alison also admitted Carla will find it “difficult” if her relationship with father figure Roy breaks down over the blaze and her subsequent cover up.
She said: “It will be difficult. Even if Johnny is her dad, Roy is the one who has been most like a dad to her, and the person who totally gets her and cares unconditionally.”

The Cure announce Disintegration 30th anniversary shows

OHMYGOSSIP — The Cure have announced Australian shows to mark the 30th anniversary of their LP ‘Disintegration’.
Robert Smith and co will perform the 1989 record – which remains their highest-grossing album to date – in full for four special shows at Sydney Opera House between May 24 and May 25 and May 27 and May 28.
The ‘Friday I’m in Love’ hitmakers look set to announce further dates for the anniversary tour, as the website for the venue states that the four concerts are “the world premiere of these 30th anniversary performances”.
To be in with the chance of attending one of the shows, fans have to enter into an online ballot and, if successful, they will then be able to purchase a ticket from February 28.
In December, Robert – who is the only remaining original member of the iconic 80s group – revealed they are working on their first album since 2008’s ‘4:13 Dream’.
He promised that new material will be released in time for their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month.
He said: “Seeing all these new bands – I’ve listened to some of these bands and met so many of them that it’s kind of inspired me to do something new.
“So, yes, we’re going in about six weeks time to finish off what will be our first album in more than a decade. It’s very exciting times for us all around.”
The band will be inducted alongside the likes of Radiohead, Janet Jackson, Roxy Music, Def Leppard, and The Zombies on March 29 at a ceremony at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The 59-year-old musician previously admitted the reason there has been such a long wait for new material from the band is because he struggled to find inspiration to create songs,
However, after curating the Meltdown Festival last year – which featured the likes of Nine Inch Nails and Manic Street Preachers – he was influenced by some of live performance to get back into the studio.
The ‘Just Like Heaven’ singer admitted: “I’ve hardly written any words since then. I think there’s only so many times you can sing certain emotions. I have tried to write songs about something other than how I felt but they’re dry, they’re intellectual, and that’s not me.”

Gerard Way went back to MCR roots making Netflix show songs

OHMYGOSSIP — Gerard Way has compared making music for ‘The Umbrella Academy’ to his My Chemical Romance days.
The 41-year-old musician-and-author and his old bandmate Ray Toro have recorded covers of ‘Hazy Shade Of Winter’ by Simon & Garfunkel and The Turtles’ ‘Happy Together’ for Netflix’s ‘The Umbrella Academy’, which is based on his comic book series of the same name, and it was fun for them both going back to their roots.
The ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’ hitmaker, says that preparing the material has been “more work” to his solo stuff, but he’s enjoyed the collaborative experience, which has been “refreshing” for the band’s former frontman.
He told the latest issue of Kerrang! magazine: “It’s a bit more work, because it’s for something cinematic.
“It’s not that it has to reach a higher level, it’s just that it’s a different level.
“The solo stuff is just kind of up to me, and what I want that to convey, or what nature it has. Whereas with the show, everybody has to really be blown away by it.
“So maybe, in a way, it’s more a little bit of what Ray [Toro] and I and the guys in My Chem used to do; we apply a little bit more of that to what we do in these cover songs for Umbrella Academy.”
Gerard says he’s able to apply his “wisdom and knowledge’ that he’s acquired over the years to the project.
He continued: “It’s actually really nice to go back and do something like you once did it, because you have more experience and wisdom and knowledge.
“As you get older you bring all these things the way you used to do.
“It’s refreshing at times – especially if you’re doing a bunch of experimental things. It’s refreshing to go back to your core, and your roots, of what you used to do, and apply your new knowledge to that.”
Despite enjoying a trip down memory lane, Gerard has no plans to reunite with his bandmates.
The ‘Teenagers’ rockers – also comprised of Frank Iero and Mikey Way – went their separate ways in 2013 and though they have been inundated with offers to get back together and the singer “misses” working with his bandmates, he recently admitted it is unlikely to happen.
He said: “We definitely get offers regularly to reunite – it’s a constant thing…It’s flattering, it’s really nice of people…I miss playing with the guys, but I don’t think so.”
